Building on last week's surge has been a choppy trading day, with the S &P higher by 3 points right now at 4 ,361. That is a gain of about one -tenth of 1%. We've got the Dow up 16 points, up by about one -tenth of 1%, with the NezStack higher by 23 points, up two -tenths of 1%, the NezStack 100 index up 32. That is a gain of two -tenths of 1%. Small cap shares, though, hard hit today. We've got the Russell 2000 down by 1 .25%. Ten -year yield, 4 .66%, with a two -year now yielding 4 .93%. Spot gold down $14 a ounce to 1980, drop there of six -tenths of 1%. And West Texas, intermediate crude up eight -tenths of 1%, 81 .13 for a barrel of WTI.

Fox News Host Will Cain Puts Gov. Ron DeSantis on the Spot
"Boy, oh boy, for a narrative that Fox News is all in for Ron DeSantis and trying to shut out Donald Trump, I guess Will Kane didn't get the memo. Wow. Did he take on Ron DeSantis last night. You know, and Governor DeSantis is pretty notorious for picking and choosing who he gives interviews to. I wonder if he's regretting this one. There's a new poll out just released from National Public Affairs from South Carolina. South Carolina, of course, a very important state in the primary process. Former President Trump leads his closest challenger, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, by 23 points. This poll shows Trump at 41 percent. He's up from 39 percent last month. Trump keeps going up in the polls and everybody else, well, not everybody else, more on Vivek in just a moment, but Ron DeSantis is dropping. He's down five points from where he was a month ago in South Carolina. And it's kind of hard to shake a narrative. And I say this, I'm trying to be diplomatic here. I'm trying to thread the needle because I'm not pro DeSantis. I'm not pro Trump. I'm pro victory in 2024. I'm going to defend and fight for whoever the voters elect as their nominee

LeBron James, Lakers eliminate champion Warriors with 122-101 victory in Game 6
"The Lakers have landed in the Western Conference Finals by trouncing the defending champion warriors one 22 one 21 in game 6. It was a vintage performance by LeBron James who delivered 30 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists for the 7th seeded Lakers. "Game two was a lopsided win for the warriors as they beat the Lakers one 27 to 100 to even the series clay Thompson played a starring role with 30 points. He's always fun when you shoot the ball well, but it's even better when you couple that with a win. NBA playoff action, Tampa Bay loses again

"The Ohio State buckeyes of Virginia tech hokies have advanced to the elite 8 of the NCAA women's basketball tournament. Ohio State moved forward with a 73 61 win over Connecticut. Cody McMahon scored 18 of her team high 23 points in the first half as the buckeyes stopped the husky short of the final four for the first time since 2007. We looked at it as any other game and I feel like that's really what helped us not to feed in the fact that they are Yukon. This is a great program. "Mystical life. That I live my 7 days in the world between the times that come into the sacred on the 8th day. Then they take a step up into heaven so that I can see heaven around me. The beauty of it all is that while the enter into the sacred realm really Sunday or maybe we do it daily, but it also surrounds us completely it's illuminated in a very real way in our life in the day to day in the world and what we call the liturgical calendar. Every season has a moment every day has a purpose. You see it in the liturgy of the hours every hour has a prayer. There's always a movement, isn't there. There's always just have to be aware. You always hear wake up, wake up, everyone, be aware, wake up in that call. Sometimes I think about liturgical rhythm as punctuation marks. And there is once a year Easter exclamation point, daily prayer is a series of commas or semicolons. Period is the most important point. I would give that to Sunday. But if I didn't have those organizational pauses, then my sentence would just run on like this and it would have no end and you couldn't tell when I was going to start or stop and then in my life would just expend itself. And I would die with a sigh at the end. Later G enters my life by giving me an order or a structure right to pauses a kind of formality. It gives me a grammar by which I can speak. So we're talking about a way of finding a connection. Oh, it's almost like another pair of rhesus. A connection place for the sacred and the profane, the profane, and the sacred, I think, untold mischief has been done by an equivocation, a two meanings of the word profane, sometimes we use it to mean not of God. Not wholly. But its real meaning is set aside from the profane. And the world can be wholly, the world is holy. There's holiness in the world, but that doesn't mean that there's no reason for setting aside certain sacred places. So by sacred you meant yucky, then it's already profane. You mean yucky. Then I've got to leave the yucky profane world and go into the sacred world. And I know there are Christians that tend to live that way. But on the other hand, it would seem to be a mistake not to need sacred moments sacred places, sacred persons, sacred, because this is stepping out of the ordinary into the extraordinary, so that when I return, I can see what is ordinary. I'll be very careful not to give anything away, but I knew a priest. This isn't a somebody second cousin told me this. The priest himself told me this that in his seminary class, the teacher had them lace on their tennis shoes and run around the interior nave of the church. Why? To convince them that there was nothing special about this place. And we could bring a can of Coke in our hot dog to Sunday morning liturgy. Well, the right correction to that isn't to say, no, no, that's wholly in your life in the world is not wholly. Is wholly in both places, but you need a sacred space. In order to appreciate or understand or to be filled with that holiness. I learned from a wonderful little book by Joseph peeper on the sacred and profane, but he's pointing out that profane does not mean the unholy part.
