DC's cherry blossoms coming early due to confusing weather

"Washington D.C.'s cherry blossoms are expected to bloom early this year. The trees are apparently confused about the changing climates due to the warmer than average temperatures, the trees never reached their winter dormancy, which is the starting point for calculating when the blooms will emerge. 3 Killed Including a Child in a Florida Shooting Spree

"This kind of came across my attention earlier today I saw a video a dramatic video of police officers arresting a black man as the police ran up on him, one of them kicked him down to the ground, they wrestled him. While he was on the ground, they found that there was a gun in his pocket and the officers were able to detain this lunatic 19 year old man, I'm not going to say his name because his name is irrelevant, unfortunately, this young man decided that he wanted to go on a killing spree at this point. I'm still doing my research on figuring out the totality of circumstances in this case. But it appears that this particular young man decided to go on a killing spree killing a 38 year old woman in her home, don't know how he was related to her. He ended up killing a spectrum news 13 journalist, a 9 year old girl and injuring a two or three other people in a shooting spree. And if you have been following this case, I want to walk you through a timeline of kind of what happened on February the 22nd, which was yesterday. And I'm going to give you a quick timeline on it so you kind of know the rundown of how these things happen around 11 a.m. on 11 a.m., a 38 year old woman was shot in pond heels in which case she died at the scene in Orange County deputy said or Orange County deputies testimony was the detective responded to the scene, did a follow-up, gained evidence and developed a good lead for the suspect and then around four p.m. deputies were called to a 9-1-1 call where two people were shot on that same street that the young lady in her home was shot

Rep. Greg Steube: On the Road to Recovery

"First, congressman, how are you doing? I know you took that big fall last month. How are you on the road to recovery? I'm doing much better. My head is completely clear. The ligaments in my neck are pretty much healed. It's just some soreness there. The doctors are going to give me a clear to fly early march because I still have clotting in my lungs, which is why I haven't been able to go to D.C. because I can't physically get on a plane. And then I've got March 1st is a big x-ray on my hip that I cracked and if that bone has healed, then I can start getting weight bearing again. You know, now I feel good, but I can't put any weight on my right side, so I'm bound to crutches or a wheelchair. So now I'm just frustrated because you can't physically do anything. You've got to rely on people to carry your book for you and your drink and everything else. But other than that, well on the way to recovery, looking forward to march 1st, getting a good x-ray on the pelvis bone, and then I should be playing right now is being D.C., the week of the 22nd. Which is the second week of D.C. week up there in Washington. So looking forward to getting back to work.

"From a pair of losses in three pass super bowls, Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid says in his opinion, turnovers most often determine the outcome. It's great to start fast, but that also there are other factors in there that become important. And turnovers is probably one of the biggest ones. The chiefs ranked 22nd in the NFL's regular season and turnover ratio at minus three on the other hand, the eagles are one of the best in the league and turnover ratio at plus 8. That's the third best. In the AFC championship game, the chiefs lost one fumble. Greg iklin, Phoenix.

This Bitcoin OnChain Reading Confirms The Rally Is Getting Started

"7 p.m. Sunday January 22nd, 2023. This Bitcoin on chain reading confirms the rally is getting started. After 216 days, the Bitcoin market value to realize value mvr V ratio finally broke above one, making this accumulation the second longest after it took BTC prices 300 days to bottom up after the bear run of two zero one four two zero one 5. It also signals the likelihood of another refreshing BTC rally after gains of last week. Bitcoin's mvr V breaks above won the breakout coincided with BTC prices surging to as high as 23,300 on Saturday, January 21st, a positive development, especially for optimistic holders. As of writing on January 22nd, prices have cooled off, and the coin is trending at around 22,700, albeit with relatively low trading volumes. Still, the retracement puts BTC within a bullish formation following impressive gains on January 20th when the coin printed higher, defying gravity and confirming demand. Related reading Bitcoin hits 23,000 as crypto market cap revisits 1 trillion mark the mvr V ratio changes depending on Bitcoin's market forces. The prevailing sentiment is that BTC is bottoming up. Bulls could be preparing for another leg up, injecting the much needed volatility and volatility into the crypto markets. However, the absence of confirming indicator presented problems. Technical and fundamental analysts may use the mvr V ratio to time market entries and exits. Typically, whenever the mvr V ratio is below one, then it implies that prices are at their bottom. Any reversal from sub one to above one with increasing valuation may signal price bottoms and possibly more room for upsides in the coming days. This signal could be a precursor to guide swing and long-term traders to hold on to their long positions and wait for more gains before exiting once BTC becomes overvalued based on on chain readings. Conversely, historical values reveal that whenever the MD RV is above 3.7, there is a real probability that the Bitcoin market will be overheating. Subsequently, it could be the best time to exit and take profits. Bitcoin sentiment shifting to mvr V ratio is dynamic, changing depending on the fluctuating valuation of BTC. At any point, the mvr V ratio is calculated by dividing the market value and the realized value of Bitcoin. The market value measures the prevailing sentiment amongst holders, which, as history shows, changes depending on spot rates. Meanwhile, the realized value considers each coin's actual spending. Calculating the realized value takes into account the acquisition cost of each coin in question. If the mvr V ratio is below one, should coins be sold, most holders will realize losses. Related reading Bitcoin short squeeze may reach 30,000, top crypto trader predicts the more the mvr V ratio increases. The more holders and traders will be willing to sell as they get more into the money. Subsequently, the ratio is a good gauge of whether BTC is overvalued or undervalued in the short, medium, or long-term. Streams from into the block show that, on average, 62 of BTC holders are making money with 36 losing money. Feature image by free pick, chart by trading view.

I'm in the cloak room, the Republican cloak room, which is just behind the house floor and I'm looking real time at the numbers and right now it shows that Byron Donald is at 19. I mean, this is the 5th vote. The last vote Byron had 20, I'm going to make an assumption. He'll get 20 to the needle hasn't moved. It hasn't moved at all. And I am a member of the freedom caucus. And I have said to my Friends, and they're great people. There's 20 great Americans America first patriots. I said, but if you're going to identify a problem with Kevin McCarthy, let's have a solution that I respect Jim Jordan probably more than any member up here. I think he's fantastic. And when you look at Jim Jordan, he's supporting Kevin McCarthy. I think the American people that are watching this unfold on their television are saying we had 20 people supporting Jim Jordan and then it's prior to that. Jim Jordan is up there giving a speech for McCarthy. So I just think it's a little it shows a little confusion, some disorganization and I think we got to get to work and we can do better than this.

MicroStrategy's Big Bitcoin Bet

"I'm gonna get us started off. Did you think we'd be talking about Michael sailor in this last week of the year? I sure didn't. But micro strategy is still buying up Bitcoin. The company purchased $42.8 million worth of Bitcoin between November 1st and December 21st according to an SEC filing and on the 22nd the company sold 11.8 million worth of Bitcoin to offset previous capital gains, the sale marks the first time that micro strategy has sold its Bitcoin since they began buying it in 2020. Will I am going to pass this off to you. What do you make of this? Micro strategy is just still going strong with their Bitcoin thesis. Is headline is all wrong. We should have a completely different headline. That is that they sold Bitcoin, not bought it, just kidding, of course. This is big news that there's still buying Bitcoin. We'd love to see that. They did sell some Bitcoin, does seem to be for the tax harvesting aspect of that. And for those who are unfamiliar with it, in cryptocurrency and a few other assets, you do have the ability to sell your crypto and to sell into losses and then take a tax benefit for selling it. With securities and stocks and all that stuff, there is a 30 day wash rule, and there's some other components around it that you have to make sure that you follow. And so you don't really get the benefit that you do with crypto. So for a lot of people in November and December, you see a lot of cells. You see a lot of people unloading their digital assets at the end of the year in order to benefit from a loss on your digital assets and roll that into taxes for the next year, which is a great benefit of being in crypto. We'll see if that continues going to the future with IRS rules. But for right now, why not take advantage of it? Stellar buying Bitcoin though, I think that's important to note that Michael saylor, even though he stepped out of CEO, is now overseeing a micro strategy in different way, is still Bitcoin bull. They're still going to be purchasing Bitcoin. This is not a huge purchase compared to some of them in the past. And they're still actually pretty underwater on their overall purchases based on Bitcoin's price right now. But they still seem to have dry ammo and are willing to put more money into Bitcoin, even though we are in a down cycle right now.

I think i haven't gotten over. I have gotten that was talked about yet this week. At least is i did find Shadow panther in austin eater. I just opened wasp or like three minutes ago. So they want because he's writing the most interesting. I guess notable wine witness talked about. And i hadn't opened him so i was going to not do that. And have something to talk about so my My berry initial thoughts on him are. He's really nice. The head sculpt is excellent. Paint job on mine is is good on his on his head. So i'll give them credit. They did a lot of pretty intricate paint apps on his head. Especially considering these days toy in two thousand twenty one one thing. I did notice at least on mine. Initially is his so his torso compresses and snaps together. You know like what's transformers. Do mind doesn't really like hold so his torso kind of swings back open. Which is a bummer but Lc if i'm doing something wrong. So is there any way watch out for. That doesn't look like maybe all wasp baiters like snap into place in robot mode like they're supposed to other than that I like him. he's needs I i really don't want to give this take because everyone gives his take. I'm sorry i have to say it. He's he's kind of he feels. But i know that's tired. Take i'm just being honest and be. He's he's petite but there's nothing wrong with that. I love transformers for their various sizes. So so yes. So he's he's smallish anyway. He's a sweet little boy but So and then. I got show panther. Which you know everybody's talking about i haven't detour form so anyway. So yeah whilst near greats. I do like him. I think i think every time people do comparison between like these kingdom remakes and the toys that came out ten years ago that you know we feel like came out like ten months ago of usually the usually the kingdom ones are much more favorable looking than we realize. I've seen a lot of comparison between this wasp banadir and anniversary wester and you could argue. I guess it's a lateral move or there's plus minuses to both up. But i definitely. I definitely feel like this is a pretty sweet little toy i wish his torso worked as intended. But i am pretty happy with him. He looks really solid and other than that. The only other thing i got was i did..

Two years old <Speech_Female> healthy <Speech_Female> as can be. <Speech_Female> I don't have any <Speech_Female> underlying issues <Speech_Music_Female> or anything like that. <Speech_Female> I've had paris easy <Speech_Female> as what <SpeakerChange> they call it. <Speech_Female> Which is <Speech_Female> pick tingling <Speech_Telephony_Female> numbness <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> in my feet <Speech_Telephony_Female> and my lower legs <Speech_Female> for about <Speech_Female> About <Speech_Female> almost four weeks <Speech_Male> now <Speech_Music_Male> finally <SpeakerChange> doctor <Speech_Male> the doctor <Speech_Male> reassuring that <Speech_Male> these symptoms will go away <Speech_Male> or is this something <Speech_Male> that my <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> might even <Silence> be permanent. <Speech_Female> Well <Speech_Female> you know what. <Speech_Female> I'm a believer <Speech_Female> in christ in <Speech_Music_Female> myself and <Speech_Female> my whole family have been <Speech_Music_Female> praying and my <Speech_Female> symptoms are gone <Speech_Female> up. Today's about <Speech_Female> so <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> you know. I don't know <Speech_Male> everybody <Silence> <SpeakerChange> does <Speech_Female> no <Speech_Female> third but <Speech_Music_Female> i will tell you this <Speech_Telephony_Female> I've <Speech_Female> had two other. Doctors <Speech_Female> have <Speech_Female> told me that they're seeing multiple <Speech_Female> patients complaining <Speech_Female> of neuropathy <Speech_Female> issues as well. So <Speech_Female> here's the thing <Speech_Female> either. People are not <Speech_Telephony_Female> reporting it. <Speech_Female> Or it's not being <Speech_Female> said or it's not being <Speech_Female> you know put <Speech_Telephony_Female> out to the public <Speech_Music_Female> because if this <Speech_Music_Female> is something that a lot <Speech_Music_Female> of people are complaining <Speech_Music_Female> of as a side effect <Speech_Music_Female> it needs to be on the <Speech_Female> website and i called <Speech_Female> visor and complain <Speech_Female> but <Speech_Music_Female> you want to follow the science. <Speech_Music_Female> You need to listen to <Speech_Music_Female> the voices of the guinea <Speech_Female> pigs that we are <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> About this vaccine. <Speech_Female> I'm not anti vaccine. <Speech_Male> I took <SpeakerChange> it <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> I'm not anti <Speech_Male> science or a <Speech_Male> vaccine science. <Speech_Male> Either you know <Speech_Male> look there <Speech_Male> are if you do <Speech_Male> research <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> on all of <Speech_Male> it. There are <Speech_Male> people that have reactions <Speech_Male> is not the majority <Speech_Male> by any means <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> But there are people <Speech_Male> that have had negative <Speech_Male> reactions <Speech_Male> I haven't <Speech_Male> heard of yours in particular <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> But it's been a while <Speech_Male> anyway. I <Speech_Male> i actually <Speech_Male> read the efficacy <Speech_Male> results <Speech_Male> of final <Speech_Male> trial testings <Speech_Male> and while ago. <Speech_Male> So i don't really it's not <Speech_Male> fresh in my in <Speech_Male> my memory right now <Speech_Male> and i <Speech_Male> should go back and <Speech_Male> take a look at it <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> You know this is <Speech_Male> a situation where <Speech_Male> now you've got to work closely <Speech_Male> with your doctor <Speech_Male> and <Speech_Male> make the right determination <Speech_Male> based <Speech_Male> on your <Speech_Music_Male> unique <Speech_Male> medical history. Your <Speech_Male> current condition <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> factors that. I don't know anything <Speech_Male> about nor does <Speech_Male> do any of these people <Speech_Male> playing doctor <Speech_Male> in washington <Speech_Male> or on tv. It's unbelievable and don't buy the lie contrary to you know the the false statements agend sake. No we don't need to test them for covert or get them vaccinated because intending to stay long. That's allied to and contrary to the reports and the propaganda and the lies biden's homeland security department has been busing. Haitians from del. We don't have even a ballpark estimate of how many americans they abandoned behind enemy lines in afghanistan and our borders are who never really went to the border where the problems were. Kamla harris is. She's deeply troubled by images of border agents. Now the border agents by the way you know. There's the border patrol union boss slamming the administration for attacking the border patrol agents. Actually anyway brandon judd former agent himself national board board patrol border patrol council singled out jen psaki for condemning the agents. That it's horrible to watch him. They should never be able to do it again. John solomon whereas the editor in chief jen psaki came out condemn the actions when in reality. It's a legitimate law enforcement action that was meant to protect the illegal immigrants from the horses and he said quote. "Call it that he doesn't care he wants to go out and beat the best he truly i think in his mind believes he's better than anybody else hard to disgree. He won the mvp last year. Aaron rodgers still has it. Denver broncos have what they need to get there so aaron rodgers will be the starting quarterback of the denver broncos week. One here did here first. But if he's not for some reason if he's not you'll get left withdrew lock and teddy bridgewater. Two guys. That are i mean. Do either of them have the talent to get into the playoffs. I think teddy bridgewater does purely. Because of the fact that he's not gonna turn the paul over at ton gonna take. What the what. The defense has them. They're going to go down. You know five ten yards at a time. Pop-pop-pop toe control the time possession. Pont let the defense lock down as you can win enough games to get a wildcard spot with teddy bridgewater. I don't think you do with drew. Lock drew locks in there. You're gonna have games you're gonna see flashes right 'cause he's shown us both he's we've seen the flashes of pure greatness from drew lock but we've seen a lot more recently and a lot more consistently the bad side of drew lock. So will there be games where he goes out against a bad team. Tortures them for three hundred yards. Three or four touchdowns. Yeah i think. Drew got that capability. But he doesn't have the consistency to do it and he can't do it against the good teams. If aaron rodgers does not come to denver which i truly believe he will be the starting quarterback for the denver broncos. We want but if he does not then you gotta go with teddy bridgewater. You have to go with teddy bridgewater..

"Colorado's boyd mornings with gail sherry pipe this morning in for gail from the article specialist studios so happy to be here with you Wanna briefly just go over this this article in the colorado sun on this bipartisanship on these bills i found it fascinating that they spent so much time on this story but yet didn't tell us didn't break down exactly what bills it was that that actually ended up being on a on a party line. Vote they did say twenty two bills. Four point four percent passed on pure party lines in other words. All the democrats went one direction. All the republicans went in another and then another ten measures passed with no see with no republican support and a couple of democrats voting. No as well so out of five hundred and four bills twenty two were pure party line. Nobody crossed over from one party to the other. But we don't know what bill those. We don't know what all of those bills were. They do say that All thirty nine. Republicans voted no on six bills dealing with regulations on firearms. So there wasn't a single republican. That voted yes on a firearm regulation and then republicans also unanimously opposed bills. That allowed school districts to pay their board members restricted. The use of disposable plastics paid for diapers for parents in emergency situations and prohibited native american mascots at public schools. They did give us a little bit of break down what those were but more interesting senator. Paula deen a monument. A republican outta monument actually casted the most no votes on third reading of any other republican in the state senate this year. And so where do you. Where did the weld county. Senators fall into play. Well barbara kirk meyer out of five hundred four votes rappers She had three hundred and forty three. Yes excuse me She had one hundred and thirty five hundred thirty five. No votes in three hundred and forty-three yes votes. I wanna make sure. I'm reading. That right. And i apologize Had the most no two hundred and five. Yes okay so. Barbara kirk meyer. Had one hundred and thirty five no votes and three hundred and forty three. Yes votes senator. John cook had one hundred sixty two no votes and three hundred thirty five. Yes votes senator jerry. Nothing is what it has a broader range in case like this. Where you guys are smart, I know what to talk some point. He'll saying at the end of the day, everybody grows up thinking, murderous an intentional act, but in this case, it is a concern. Totally unintentional, filling for both second and third-degree murder. So expect the jury to struggle a little with that and that raises the question of did they do? One of two things that they walk into that Jury Room back and say, I don't think the state made any of its case, or did they walk into the Jury Room and say I don't think the defense had it at any point here. And you know we may never know exactly how the discussions went down. Unless the jurors are willing to talk afterwards, well, verdict does, secondly suggest that the jury still counting like 1? Second. I'm showing all of the elements, all of the five I think doesn't mean that they discounted it. They may have just spelled it already made, its case know. You are not going to tell me that a grown man. That's over two hundred pounds and over six foot is fighting you and your glasses are going to stay like that. That's not going to happen not going to have that. These were the small things that basically the first off. You know, when he when they when George Floyd put his knuckle against the tire. What that really was was him. He was actually trying to kind of Mojo move his body to a way because he felt like he couldn't get a full breath you know? And and and we have to say it, you know, there's so much stuff that has come out of this when you handcuffed people when police officer handcuffed people and they really want to be an asshole, they twist the handcuffs and then they connect and that makes it really painful for your wrist. So when you are experienced in pain, it's no different than sticking. Her hand over a match that slid. Eventually when the pain kicks you're going to pull back. Well, when they do that with the cuffs and all of a sudden, the person starts to pull them back. At means it's go time to start smashing them in the back of the head and stuff like that. I mean, it's just absolute garbage. This is what is, is placing cities in Jeopardy, all across this country. We have a lot of bad cops, we got great cops in this country though. We have a lot of bad cops too. And, and in the end of the day, good cops have got to start standing up against bad cops because it's this is this. It's destroying their profession. It is destroying their profession. Yeah, yeah. And and and this is a slam dunk though. I mean, unfortunately, but I mean this is fucking murder man. And and I don't give a crap what you? I mean, you know and you know what, this idiot ever Chauvin is what an idiot that he knows he's being video games. They he knows this is on camera yet. He doesn't get off the guy that's a cold-blooded killer, you know what it is. But the downside to that is is that he's empowered, he's empowered because he's been here before. The guy has been in in car chases where people were killed, he shot people. I believe he shot and killed the person. I mean, the guy's got lots of things. He's got over twenty, I think, 26, or 27 lawsuits that were brought against him throughout his career. And at the end of the day, if we do not tie police brutality to their retirements, nothing changes. And I know that their retirements not going to be enough, to pay a twenty, seven million dollar twenty seven million dollar, twenty-five million dollar. But your phone on airplane, what I'm doing is I'm on I'm on the Stuttering John, got to go. Okay. Yeah, I don't know if somebody called but.

"Man. Oh god i don't even oh man is a fascinating. So okay. I'm gonna just don't even know okay howard. Okay so i'm gonna give you the brief synopsis. I are so howard left. Radio in two thousand and five. Oh sex to go to syria so they put adam corolla in the west coast to be the replacement they put. David lee roth in new york. And then they put rover in chicago and adam karol has gone on to do well with david. Lee roth was out for like two months. And then they put an opium anthony and then rover was out after like seven in chicago. And bob and i was like his biggest fan like for the seven months was in chicago in the morning. I would let them so then after he laughed. I didn't really hear his show until they created the iheartradio app and like twenty eleven. So then i started listening from like twenty eleven toll twenty fourteen and he makes fun of everybody on his show but like in like vicious way like he's the authority on everything. But i thought if i were to work for his show that for some reason him being a sociopath he was going to be nice to me so when there was an opening and like no better when there was an opening to join his show. I was like oh i got to join a show and i joined the show in and I mean he talked about me on friday for twenty minutes. I mean when i when i When i interviewed eric nagel last night. he said something he's like man. You got an obsession with roller. I went not really. But i think he's got an obsession with me because they let me go. I worked there from january. Twenty fifteen told saint patrick's day twenty fifteen because i got blackout wrong. Allegedly smoked a listener in an alley. And then they send me home because there was a bar crawl and they send me home and i walked back to the bar thinking they were kidding around. 'cause they're shock. Jocks and cleveland like rover got He was found not guilty but he was charged with shoving an undercover cop and cleveland. So like i thought. I was just billy bad ass hanging out these bad asses not knowing that they hated me and wanted me to leave so then i got fired on march eighteenth so then rob who worked on a mike healthy show for a time worked for rover and knew what rover was like. Then i broke my lease in cleveland After living there for three months and moved to tampa and then did promotion for three years. And now i produced the weekend programming. But that's pretty much. The rover synopsis is like she continues to bash me. All the fans will write. These mean things. And i'm like god. How archaic do you look that you let me go. And there's something inside of you where it pisses you off that. I'm doing well now. And when i was on your show i was this goofy virgin. I've had to go to therapy about it. Because i will get the I will get tweet. And i'm pretty sure you see tito all the fucking assholes download other that makes go away you you literally have one. Shut up ryan you got to really look at. It is if he keeps talking about you. He's just exposing you to a big audience yet. There's going to be a lot of people that hate you. But he's also turning you onto some new fans that like. Oh this guy's pretty good he don't you can. I'll see you like some of my responses on twitter. You'll see what i have to explain the everett right. He doesn't he. Doesn't have to explain to me tito i used to go. I have to say that they're just like it's just assholes and they're just trolls you know. And they're trolling the troll. And you know. I see it and i. It's all over fucking twitter. Do but i have to say man. You know I have to give you props because it takes a lot of fucking balls even come out and get your voice out and be heard man and do show like you man. Holy shit do like. Hey man dude. I give much respect. S fucking bad. I'm big in your thing that you you're in your chain free sediment free said i'm really big on change now. I'm wearing one right now. joe. I love it. He's own without when i'm jay. I do have a chain but then get into the way of the best wild wildcard. I don't you don't mess up the marketing okay. Yeah he's got hurt yellow ryan. What's what's since you've been in radio. What's the craziest stunts that somebody's had you do. And also what's the the the best thing that's ever happened like you went to some crazy concert. So what's the worst thing about radio had you do. What's the best thing that radio's brought you my kalpa. Six years ago had me good taste by dominatrix. And i do not the delivery that night and she kept painting my ass and i had like these red mark all over and for good radio i talked back to her and i said i said you're not gonna do anything honey and she got mad and she started whipping me in that spot. Sounds like a good time. what are you talking about. I'm not into pain bra. You can raise. I think every just pulled up what he's into low key low key. I'm not into pain raw intercourse. I do not need a connects intercourse. You get whipped and then you have intercourse. Oh no don't need a wit my ass for me to get off man. No god hurt you. Growing up your ryan. What so was that. What about what about when you had a box. That girl that had to be awkward is.

"Pizza. I i know we would not names or anything. But what was some of the radio host back today. so on ninety six is like sorta hip hop radio there is these two white dudes that are now almost seventy so. They were doing it when they were like fifty five chicago. They were called eddy and joe and they were on chicago and they made like million millions of dollars just as their base pay and that didn't include having major cellphone concerts and there was one guy named man who is in chicago and the two thousand ninety ninetieth. He's not really in radio anymore and there was like sports radio like sports. Radio in tampa is horrendous. If the joke besides the and battles who is the man everybody else in this town soccer sports radio sports radio in chicago man like if the bears sucked on a sunday you wanted to live the next morning to hear them. Just hear the part. They don't really do that in tampa. I mean you're gonna get more honest opinions about sports from my calendar than you are. Am sports radio. Because they're all they got the inside scoop on the team so they're never going to bash the team 'cause they don't wanna lose the fight fight while in chicago. There's this grittiness where it's like negative twenty hour you don't care and you'll bash the team so chicago i never want to go back to. I don't like chicago but i love chicago. it's a very. I'm very weird relationship with the city. I totally understand that. I was born in new york. I lived there. I was like maybe eleven moved to florida. Haven't been back. Never wanna move back. But i'm su- out. Say i was born in new york. Yeah what part of new york are you from. Rockaway queens nice. That's cool well as big popular back then when you were there. No god no. I'm forty four thirty. you're even then. That was thirty years. I just wasn't sure because i have a new found. Love for like biggie. And nas man. Like especially biggie. I watched the big documentary lakes. And i'm all about him now. I know i'm like thirty five years laid for thirty years. And let me send some big man now speaking of that documentary depth documentary. It blew my mind. They said that big use listen to country music all the time you as a smart dude. What i thought was fascinating. Hearing like he was like yelling crack out of the house and then his i feel kinda bad for his mom when she said that she thought it was mashed potatoes that he left on the windowsill. And then he's like. I've never been so mad at a dead person. I feel bad for her. I was like man. That's not a stock when you realize that your son was just dealing crack parmesan cheese goodall parmesan cheese man. Oh god was honored by. Hey so Would you being a radio industry for so long. What do you think about the whole transitioning onto hold zoom thing. I think like so how they're not grooming talent that transition. Yeah yeah i There's a weird thing where radio executives and radio hosts like men getting older band where like not sure where the business is going. Well we're not going to groom town and all the people that are getting older. The gen xers the baby boomers. They all were groomed. That sounds weird by like the people that were big back. Then and there's nobody really grooming talent and you have to do it on your own which is fine but then i never wanna hear radio executive or radio consultant or a program director. Sit around and wonder why there's no up and coming talent. I mean you don't have to pay them fulltime money but you could literally pay them part time money and give them a slot on the weekend or something overnight so i never want to hear anybody go man. Why is radio not doing the way it is because like you're just not grooming anybody. You're not running any talent. It's like like think about all the big names powered opie and anthony. They were they were brought in. Even billy madison. Mike help and then. The people drew around on the bunk. They all were given a huge chant and the people that hired them when they brought them in. it was controversial. You didn't know what you're going to get from them and other was there was a chance that they might tell. People were saying when michael to replace the previous morning guy. All my health is not going to last year. And he's been number one for seven years so all these radio executives that are doing mediocre with whatever they're overseeing they wonder why people are going to spotify or apple music because no one taking a risk. And it's it's something that nobody wants to say pedo everett. Nobody wants to say it. Because it's not fun to say and i come up like an entitled millennial what until the day you start grooming talent and you make people want to be there. I want to be at the bone. I'm lucky in at the bone. Because it's the one of kind. But i have friends and other markets that are just talking for sabotage it makes. It makes me so mad. Because it's like don't ever do you now do you. Is it more like the company up hires fall because that or is it the people to host that are not kinda like shellman loves it. It sort of okay. So there's really no culture to grow talent like the show host will show love and promote their cool. But they're never gonna go out of their way to promote the up and coming town so maybe i was incorrect in thinking about the genetics talent that now late forties and fifties maybe in the ninety s and eighty s. I have this imaginary idea that they were given a chance. Because maybe the previous generation was threatened by them. And maybe that never happened but it just seems like not a coincidence that for nineteen twenty when radio came out till about two thousand and five there was always new batches of talent coming and since the recession in oh eight they indicate every show and put them in a hundred cities and then wonder why. There's no talent. i don't have the solution. But i definitely see the. Nobody's taking a chain and it just doing cookie cutter the same thing. Everything sounds the same in every city. That's why like the bone. Billy madison and san antonio. That's why they sound different is because they're doing something different.

Billy madison new york Mike billy madison thirty years seven years spotify million last year anthony thirty five years florida michael tampa opie today eleven san antonio joe twenty hour

"So the last year i mean was that the last straw for anybody like if you didn't like police before you probably don't like him now. I don't think there's somebody out there that it's like. Oh i'm i'm a big governor polls fan hall is try to take away meat for a day. I hate him. I don't think that that happened. I think that this was just more of a divisive movement and there were a couple of people that they talked to That said they would. They would have been more in favor of more of a positive proclamation of veggie in day right of meat out because that promotes the eating of vegetables that promotes eating of Of diverse diet putting attack on anything else not not shaming anybody. Free eating meat on a day. So that's what i find interesting and and look hickenlooper. Did this back in twenty eleven and no it was. It was not met with this sort of resistance. I think there's a law that you can take away from it Well welcome commissioner lori. Saine says in his proclamation. The governor could have celebrated food choice in this diverse state and highlight of the colorado grown staples such as millet. I key now a black beans and make vegan burgers and other meatless products saint said instead. He referred that an essential part of our weld. Agricultural industry is cruel unhealthy and unsafe for the environment. She also challenged governor police to brisk cook off now. That would be something. I would sit there. And i would broadcast that at and it'd be like four hours of me saying they're just staring each other down now. They're waiting on the risk to cook there staring each other down. Governor police is applying some saas. Interesting move. I would broadcast at nine fifty one. Let's take a break. We'll come back on the side wrap-up noko.

But i i think it's too warm in what hit never did accumulate a snow but by golly we need the moisture so it's all good. There is a big brouhaha going on over in fort collins. I it's got to do with hughes stadium and property that surrounds the non existent because it's been torn down hugh stadium As you know see. You built an on campus stadium. And then that the stadium they'd been using for years and years and years out by Horse reservoir Just at the bottom of the hog back in fact as empty and so there was a deal between colorado state university and leonard homes learner. Homes was going to give them a ten million dollars for the property in it was contingent upon the city of fort collins. Zoning it for different types of housing there was supposed to be some Residential some commercial mainly residential but different levels of residential even some affordable housing in that mix of what they did some open space. Well the people that live out in that area and that's probably not totally accurate to say but but mainly people in that area With the support of others who wanna see that stay as open space Have put an issue on the ballot. It's a citizen. Initiative initiated ordinance That's going to be a part of the election in fort collins on april six fort collins in case you don't know what right now as electing mayor some council people. There are some issues on the ballot. This being one of them There was a there was a district court order back on the third of february that ordered what this ballot language needed to look like. We're vase excess about bob over a dozen whereas now more more like twenty whereas clauses my goodness In it talks about how open spaces desirable..
