China's Xi gains unprecedented third term as president - CNBC
"China's Xi Jinping has been given another term as president. I'm Ben Thomas with the latest, the ceremonial national People's Congress awarded Xi, his third 5 year term with a vote of 2952 to zero. The outcome was a foregone conclusion for a leader who has sidelined potential challengers and filled the top ranks of the Communist Party with his supporters since taking power in 2012. In October, she broke with tradition and had himself named to a third 5 year term as party leader, the presidency had a two term limit, but that was deleted from the Chinese constitution earlier. All of it, seen as an indication Xi Jinping plans to stay in power for life. I'm

Why Is Gen Z Depressed?
"Anxiety, being on antidepressants, all of these things are rising right now within the Gen Z population demographic, and there's a lot of people who are speculating as to why this is happening. And I can give probably a multitude of reasons and explanations for this, but I want to focus on the ideological bent that might be happening amongst young girls in particular. Now, a lot of the science regarding this and the studies compiled of young liberal girls versus conservative girls shows a particular uptrend in depression, anxiety, and these sort of mental disorders starting in 2012. And liberal girls being on the higher end of the spectrum there conservative girls being on the lower end of the spectrum as far as depression is concerned. Now, a lot of Gen Z liberals in particular say, well, this is happening because reality is depressing for Generation Z, we're in a late stage capitalist hellscape, I believe, is what Taylor Lorenz coined that phrase. Climate change is ravaging the earth. So they're dealing with and contemplating their existence in an existential way. But I find this kind of hard to believe that this is what's fueling the depressive nature of Gen Z and Gen Z girls in particular. Because even when you have all this turmoil and you believe that your existence could end and soon due to something like climate change or late stage capitalism, all it takes is looking up and being within your community being with your family, having real life conversations with people to notice that momentarily in the moment and in the present that you're in. Things are wonderful and beautiful and there is much to be gleaned from the life that you have, whether or not you live in a late stage capitalist hellscape that is being ravaged by climate change, there is beauty to be found in the present moment, which makes me think that there is something in particular that may have began in 2012 that is stopping young Gen Z liberal girls in particular from recognizing their present moment living in the present moment, which is the most important thing that you can do as a human to bring about your flourishing.

Robert Redfield Says Fauci Shut Down Debate on Covid's Origin
"Take a listen yourself Doctor Fauci's physician as those who thought a spillover took the position that it was most likely a spillover event because that's what happened with SARS and that's what happened with mers And I think it's important to look at prior to 2012 we didn't really have another mechanism other than nature We weren't doing gain of function research I'm a clinical virologist I tried to explain to Doctor Fauci who's an immunologist that this virus SARS and mers when they infected man from the intermediate host civet cat in the case of SARS in a camel in case emerged they never learned how to go human to human So those original outbreaks are less than a thousand people And the epidemics died And so when everyone thought this was SARS like well that's going to die too But this virus was immediately the most infectious virus not the most I think probably right behind measles virus that we've ever seen in fact man So I immediately said wait a second this is a natural And then you go back and look at the literature and you find in 2014 this lab actually published a paper that they put the H two receptor into humanized miso in fact human tissue And then you learn that the new COVID which came from bats now can hardly replicate in bats So how does that happen I don't know Doc That's so crazy So a lab that's doing research on mice having those mice genetically altered so they express a human receptor a human receptor that's active in the transmission of COVID human to human The labs do in research on that and the craziest thing happens A virus emerges from a lab that can go human to human that they engineered to infect a very specific human receptor

The New York Times's Plan To Ban Conservatives
"Radio, YouTube. They all used to be somewhat free, but they've gradually become more and more centralized and controlled. Podcasts have the lowest cost of entry of any form of media. They're truly small D democratic. You buy a microphone and you just talk. And if you have a good idea, you have interesting guests or you're an expert in something, you can grow very quickly. You can make a ton of money like Joe Rogan has. I mean, Joe Rogan is probably one of the highest paid media people God bless him. He deserves it. And he had tons of courage on the COVID issue, especially in it just kind of started with Joe Rogan with buddies and Friends. If you go look at the old Joe Rogan experience videos or podcasts, it was just kind of Joe Rogan chilling with friends back in 2011, 2012 and uploading the audio file was like, I don't know if anyone's going to listen to this. And then it slowly became kind of the center of the contrarian zeitgeist. That sounds interesting. In the center of the contrarian zeitgeist, what I'm trying to say is that that's if you have a different idea that is heterodox, heterodox ideas live here is what the sub header of the Joe Rogan experience should be. A 150 years ago, we had hundreds and hundreds of small newspapers and journals at catered to every audience. Today those journals and papers are largely gone. Podcasts are the replacement. You see, what is such a threat to the regime and one of the reasons why podcasting is so successful is that it doesn't require a ton of capital to continue to produce or to be able to distribute. And you look at The New York Times list right here of what they considered misinformation spreaders, you'll see it's all conservatives. Now,

Bitcoin NFTs Are Filling Blocks
"Well, first I got to say that NFTs started on Bitcoin the vet on Bitcoin for a super long time. You can go back to 2011, 2012. People were putting in just arbitrary data through a specific field and a Bitcoin transaction called op return, you could put little images in there. People were using it and colored coins or counterparty. And I think even a little bit Omni to make some NFTs. So it all kind of started on Bitcoin, but it's kind of interesting that it's coming back. And you mentioned tarot, which stands for taproot asset relay who wrote a little paper taproot or got asset representation overlay. Basically, taproot was activated in November 2020 one, and there's a lot of excitement with taproot because there's a lot of just kind of in the most Bitcoin fashion way, a lot of incremental improvements to speed and security. But there was like, there's a new transaction type that came with it. That kind of allowed some more developer capabilities and kind of an interesting side effect of that is this ordinance thing. And tarot kind of as well. And so I guess maybe we should talk about what word knows is. Yeah, let's dig into to the orbitals. Okay. So ordinals is a way to track specific satoshis. And so I guess for some of the newbies out there, right? One Bitcoin is made up of ten billion satoshis. That's right. To the 8 dust will places. Ordinals is just a way to basically take what is normally fungible, which is like one Bitcoin equals one Bitcoin, one sat equals one sat. But actually a sign in order to it.

Who Really Puts Forth 'Jim Crow 2.0' Voting Laws?
"But back in 2012 when Mitt Romney was threatening to win The White House he was a racist who was going to put black people back in chains That's what Joe Biden called him This is nothing new for him This is what he's always been All right so let's hear him finish Jim Crow two is about two insidious things Voter suppression and election subversion It's no longer about who gets to vote It's about making it harder to vote It's about who gets to count the vote And whether your vote counts at all let me just say something Every single bill that Democrats put forth that they call you know we call them voter integrity laws To ensure that only people who are legally entitled to vote vote that the chain of custody of those secret ballots are sound and secure and only valid ballots are counted in a proper methodical way so that there is no opportunity For fraud That's what voter integrity is and anyone who cares about free and fair elections should want those things But you know this Jew crow two it's really about who gets to vote and who gets to count those Let me just be clear That's exactly what every Democrats law is When it comes to elections every single election law the Democrats pass are also about who gets to vote and who gets to count the vote No difference Except that Republicans for the most part put forth laws that actually ensure That both of those things are secure and legitimate

Is Nancy Pelosi Guilty Of Insider Trading? Josh Hawley Weighs In
"You have recently introduced a piece of legislation to make sure we no longer have people like Nancy Pelosi, making all this money on alleged insider trading or congressional deals. I am curious, though, and perhaps you can help me understand, wasn't there a piece of legislation that was signed in the law back in 2012 called the stock act, the stop trading on congressional knowledge act. How is your Bill different? Or do we not enforce that other bill or does it not have teeth? Please, please explain it to me. Yes, so the old law Charlie just requires members of Congress to disclose when they trade stock. It does a prohibit them from owning individual stocks of the prohibit stock trading, but it says when you do it, you've got to disclose it within a certain number of days. And of course, it reiterates what's already the law for everybody, which is that insider trading is illegal. Now get this, though. Many members of Congress, including the Senate, don't comply with the stock act, Charlie. They don't even pretend to. They just don't file their disclosures. I mean, so there's no enforcement mechanism that's serious in that act. And so basically, members of Congress not only own the stock and I know not only trade this stock, they don't disclose it. And they just say, oh, screw you, basically. We're not going to do it. So here's what my bill does. My bill says, no more stock trading at all by members of Congress. In fact, no more stock ownership. If you come to Congress, you ought to be focused on doing what the people since you hear to do, not playing the stock market. So listen, if you want to save, great, you can buy mutual funds. That's what most Americans do with their savings, but you shouldn't be buying up stock and individual companies. And you shouldn't be doing what Nancy Pelosi and her family have done, which is making millions

So you have a very interesting background just in terms of being a real New Yorker. Well, that's true. And by the way, I'm glad you pointed out, yeah, you think it's kind of obvious the left is wrong about law enforcement. However, and they've been wrong about law enforcement for a long time, but there was a shift starting in about 2011, 2012, where and it really went into overdrive in 2020. Where the left suddenly started to ignore rioting and pillaging and the death and destruction of riots. I mean, the left media, they always had sympathy for those usually perpetrating the violence all the way back in the 60s, all the way through the 90s that Rodney King riots, but they still condemned the riots themselves. And they didn't really sugarcoat it. And that all changed in 2020. And it was pretty dramatic. So I wanted to address all of this. I wanted to figure out how it happened. And you mentioned my dad, I dedicate the book to him, it was a remarkable he is a remarkable law enforcement figure. And he did so much good when he left his position in 2013. His personal approval rating in New York City, which is almost majority, was used majority non white, was at 75%. Which is kind of crazy. When you think about it. Well, it kind of tells you that no matter what color you are, you don't like crime.

Ganeri Garcia Luna was Mexico's security secretary between 2006 and 2012. U.S. prosecutors accuse him of accepting tens of millions of dollars often in briefcases as bribes to protect and help the Sinaloa drug cartel. The defense says he was a legitimate businessman, some accusations against Garcia Luna surfaced at the El Chapo trial and witnesses at this trial will also include high level cartel members, jury selection begins just days after President Biden met with Mexican president Lopez Obrador, who welcomes the trial and has pledged continued cooperation with the U.S. against drug cartels. A Conversation About Race With Greg Kelly
"Book is justice for all how the left is wrong about law enforcement and a couple of things came together. I'm going to make a little confession here, all right? And I was a totally different person, but in 2008, I voted for Barack Obama. I did think. And I was sold a bill of goods that he was somehow going to be a president who could ameliorate racial tensions in America. I bought that. I remember the Father's Day speech in June of 2008. And he said, rather boldly to a group of black churchgoers that we have a problem in the African American community and that's too many fathers are AWOL. Too many fathers are MIA. And this can lead to pardon me. No, he said that. You're right. He owned it for a while until it became inconvenient. Well, Jesse Jackson almost immediately threatened to castrate him. Caught on a hot mic on Fox News. And he only went there one time during his presidency. He decided to be a racially divisive president. He always was conflicted about his own race. It's actually in the 17 books about himself. Am I white? Am I black? The blacks don't trust me. They think I'm white, the whites think I'm exotic. He was having all of these thoughts. And he chose, okay? I'm going to go all in black victim. Not only am I a black, but I'm a black, and I, but for the grace of God, survive being black as a young person. An incredibly toxic message, but he needed it, especially in 2012. He actually took a pretty big hit with the African American community. They thought things would improve. They didn't under Barack Obama and he had to emotional them. Galvanized them to come back to him. And that's really helpful Black Lives Matter started. So a big part of this book, quite frankly, is to have a conversation about race that's honest and meaningful and real and helpful. Because the conversation about race happening right now is hideously dishonest and damaging.

"Named name stuff. I think that's probably one of the biggest downfalls phil apart from the fact that liam neeson's feels like he's just not there still is that there was some tension in the first film. You you were. you run. Show if maggie grace's character was going to survive and you genuinely felt for her and you didn't know what was going on whereas this nonni tells you that leno words fine you don't worry she's dead on it. There's no tension as to who is going to survive. Also particularly care about lenore. You care about maggie grace. Because she's a child in the first film or she portrayed as a child she was twenty five when she acted that role He's just too many episodes friends. Phoebe running idea but Yeah i there's no there's no tension there's no drama in this film and there's barely any acting it has is a couple of good action sequences like the thing is with the villains in the first one like mega grace's friend or was it cousin. Or whatever dies and i think that seems pretty gross but it does set up like bad things can happen to characters. We've seen in this movie. This one the villains never actually achieve anything like that the closest they get is they kill the inspector from the first movies. Yeah but honestly that was a moment where when it happened. I pause the movie to look up whether that was the same character. Because i'm sure when. I saw this movie in two thousand twelve. I had no idea who that dude was like. There's no way. I would have remembered that guy. So like they don't set up the villains is Particularly effective so that removes all the tension of you. Know as i said upfront like. They aren't a worthy adversary for brian. Milt killing they just stabbed him in atlanta. Well i assume they killed him. Afterwards bile acids is the whole twelve eighth. isn't it. yeah. I mean buffet track record. I wouldn't be surprised if they just slit his chest in hung him upside down in slashed but very loose wrote he get out of it. Yeah i think these guys. He's he's always been proven right according to the film so that'd be no reason for him to change with that But i i every literally everything has just said. There's this thing about like these films where you get this usually like a white american male. Go into these. You know these countries with these like vague ish middle east any brown people and not you just because you're in. These countries are just k. Able to like those stuff off. Just kill people in chew loads of people and you know you. It's almost like the people that they're making his film for do they. Don't even think of that country like as a country. If that makes sense it's just like just they'll also out. I guess but again like i said before there is this level of control that this guy has but i think this film is a film that you're supposed to really critically Like have a character analysis of these characters and things then seem a bit wade. I couldn't find anything really concrete in terms of a you know i didn't want to do the sequel or anything but i know that morale at this point you know a little bit before. This was developing a dune adaptation. And he was working on that for a while any left november twenty ten So i'm wondering if he was just kind of burnt out and didn't want to do a sequel to take. He was looking at doing something else but he did. Have one quote. I found with grantland where he said. I try not to repeat myself too much. It can be a career move. I'm not a career. Move guy. So i guess taking into would have been easy money for them and just maybe the appeal. Just wasn't there that to repeat himself again. So ultimately they went with olivier megaton who was a graffiti artists turned director. He had made a movie in the year about two thousand called exit which lupus on had produced so he basan for a little while at that point so they have a relationship that goes for you. Know significant amount of time and megaton was brought on. He did a movie called red siren with asia agenda. He also did transporter three with luke. Basan any also did colombiana. The zoe saldana movie. So it kind of made sense for him to be brought onto taken to with luke basan and While he was doing colombiana he was wary of doing a sequel initially because taken with such a hit but he just decided why not. he's one thing was. He said he did not revisit. The original when he made the sequel he wanted to be. Its own thing just for those curious. Alleviate megaton is kind of strange name so megaton he actually chose that last name because his birthday is august. Six thousand nine hundred sixty five which was the twentieth anniversary of the hiroshima bomb in world. War two ooh yeah Now he looks at it. More as a great wrong was committed. A nice should commemorate this event. But it's strange that an action director chooses his name for this reason. It's very very strange. Deeply strange feels really really gross. And then i didn't realize they would really doubled down on the mission impossible Kind of world where. It's just like this espionage missions with lots of people. I think i said that after like six or something. Yeah that's what he's anau agent skills in everything Well levi as you said you..

"The sermon sinners in the hands of an angry god and he preached in this church and they yawned at him a neighboring church about it and they asked him to please come preach at there and one of the greatest revivals in american history broke out as men and women thought they were being tilted into hell and when they saw their true condition. Before god they repented edward's church fired him and he went from there and pastor too little group of indian children. He taught them how to read. He tutored them in reading by teaching them to read the bible in its wally was in that humble place of service that princeton university invited him to come and be the president of their university. Well today we're in a very similar place. Sinners in the hands of an angry god could be proclaimed on this radio. In many of you would just yawned but i pray. Some of you are being convicted. And you're beginning to consider your sin and you're beginning to turn your heart toward heaven. And you're beginning to pay the price to follow after jesus christ and then there are others of you who are like me. Many years in this journey earnest and desirous of the riding. Let's go back to our story. What kept you from understanding. That god was working through his blessed spirit to bring you to himself. Hopeful said first. Of all i was ignorant that this was the work of god in my life since i never imagined that god begins his work of conviction in the centers life by awakening him to a sin. And by the way. If you get angry with his broadcast is some of you have said you do. It's because the holy spirit is beginning to convict you of your sin. So don't throw it off. Let the holy spirit work in your heart then. There was the appeal that sin held over my flesh. I was reluctant. He said to abandon it. Another reason. I refused then do. Repent was that. I did not want to part ways with my old companions company and entertainments were very desirable to me. Finally the times in which i came under the conviction of sin were so troublesome and so frightening that. I did everything. I could to cast these times out of my memory. Then there were times when you were not in trouble then. There were times when you were not troubled in your mind and soul ask christian yes hopeful said that is true but it would creep back into my mind and my soul would be troubled as it was before even worse. Well what was it that brought your mind back around to the sin that you were living in hopeful. Answer it will. Many things did this. It was if i met a good man in the street. Or if i heard the bible being read aloud or if i if i had a headache if i was sick if i was told that some of my neighbors were sick or if i heard the bell toll for the dead or if i thought of dying by heard about someone's death and lastly the thing that brought my sin to mine and troubled my soul worse than all these other things was when i thought to myself that i must quickly come to judgment and when these things reminded you of your sin christian said could you find relief from the sense of guilt that your sin cost no i could not hopeful said if i even thought about returning to one of my previous sins my conscience would torment me and then what did you think i thought about changing my ways. I was afraid that. If i did not i would be damned in. Did you try to change your ways. Yes not only did. I flee from my sin but from sinful company also and i. I took up religious duties such as prayer and bible reading and weeping for my sins speaking the truth to my neighbors and so on. I did all these things and many others too. Numerous to relate and did this give you peace of mind. Well yes for a while but in the end my troubles came tumbling back upon me despite all of my reformation and how did that come about since you were now reformed will several things brought it about. I began to read my bible thing. Said things like all our righteousness is filthy. Rags and by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. And when you shall have done all these things say we're unprofitable and many other such things. Then i began to reason with myself. You if all of my righteousness is filthy rags. If if by the deeds of the law no one can be justified and in different. We've done all we can do we. We still remain unprofitable. Then it's folly to think that i'll enter heaven by keeping the law. It also occurred to me that if a man runs a hundred pounds into debt was a shopkeeper and then begins to pay cash for everything else. He purchases while leaving. The old debt unpaid the shopkeeper can rightfully sue him and cast him into prison until he pays all of us past debt. How did you apply this to yourself. I thought about how great a debt of sin. i'd run up in god's book and how even i reformed myself but i still could not pay off the debt. So how can i be freed from the damn nation that i brought upon myself by my former transgressions. A good application but go on. I want to stop a minute. And just say. God's wrath is on all men god hates all men in this world now i know it says for god so loved the world and he does but he hates sin and he doesn't separate the sin from the center he hates sin and he hates men who sin there has to be a redemption from sin if there is no redemption from sin. There is no redemption. Either god save us from our sin not in our sin or there is no redemption for us. Some of you believe the lie.

"You'll encourage you everything. Your heart is hungry for is supplied as you allow jesus to flow through you for the life of another and satan is going to come with everything he can to say. Don't be concerned about them. Look at your own miserable situation. The apostle paul could be beaten. He gets up his black his back his bloodied. And he's saying now. I need to go encourage the brothers. What know we'd be sending paul sympathy cards. Hope you get well soon. Paul isn't looking for any sympathy cards. Paul's only hearts concern is. Oh god how can. I encourage my brothers. So that they'll continue to lift up your name and nut grow discouraged and in the process the holy spirit. Courage paul's heart. You see when we get swallowed up by life. We don't walk in death anymore and if we have not been swallowed up by life before we gained that heavenly body will never gain the heavenly body. Understand what i'm saying before we get to that point we've already have to be in that place where the spirit of god is flowing through us now. I have to confess tonight. I have spent sometimes days on end on my face pleading with god to meet my financial needs understand when we left salary. And god said i will provide for you. Will you receive only from my hand. would i choose to give you. We ran out of everything. We lost everything we lost our home. We lost our guards. We lost our retirement. We lost everything because it wasn't what god wanted to give us. And when we finally came down to the point of starvation we were then willing to receive anything. From god's hand. He wanted to give us before that. We would have been picky about what we wanted. But at that point we were not picky anymore. Any gift he gave us we graciously received and then the lord began to take us through a process where he no longer allowed us to focus our energy on what we thought we needed but instead he began to focus our attention on what other people needed. He begin to focus our attention on what he wanted to accomplish in other people's lives and as we walked more and more deeply into that he met our needs. Have i ever come to this. Congregation and said pastor. Ray and jan need money. I've never done that..

"The risk the risk is you might in process have your whole perception suddenly switch back on you and now you're looking at everything through human eyes. What is this going to gain for me. How can this help me. No then you sink when i'm thinking about. How can i defend myself. How can i make myself look. Good how can i survive. How am i going to possibly face this overwhelming situation. I'm going to sink the national prayer chapel right now is facing this awesome possibility of walking on water. The lord has asked the national prayer chapel to get out of the boat and walk on fm water. We can't walk on. Fm water less our eyes on jesus and we're walking the way he told us to walk and then fm water is new deeper than any other little shallow place. We walk right on a cross. So whereas jesus calling you to get out of the boat and walk on the water. Where's the asking you to change your perspective. So that you look at things as jesus looks at things and not through your own fear and your own anxiety and your own selfish art but instead you're looking at things as jesus looks at them which is what is best for the kingdom of god. How's the kingdom of god built. Now i want you to notice the change that occurs verse thirty one immediately. Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. You of little faith he said. Why did you doubt. And when they climbed into the boat the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him saying truly you are the son of god so in the first instance they said. Wow what a man. He's different than us. We're not like him. In the second instance they've grown up a little bit and they'd begun to look a little differently at things and this time they're willing to risk stepping out of the boat a little bit and then when peter gets rescued and he's pulled back into the boat. They worship jesus.

"Without shaving with no deodorant. Can you imagine how you would feel tonight if i said to you you know. Let's go down to dupont circle. We're going to sleep there tonight. Oh how could we do that. Well never mind. I'm sorry we'll plan on staying there a week without a tent. We're just gonna hang and dupont circle for a week that would change your perspective about the national prayer chapel. Well jesus is saying look. Foxes have holes birds of the air have nest but the son of man has no place to land in other words. If you're gonna follow me don't think you're going home. There's no gourmet meal here. Well then watch another disciple said to him. Lord i let us go and bury my father. And jesus told him follow me and let the dead bury their own dead. Let the dead bury their own. Dead well jesus is trying to bring a new perspective. They're not catching it. So he says okay. Let's get in the boat so they got in the boat and they were familiar with the boat deal. They knew how to run the boat. They knew how to row. They knew how to set the sale. They knew how to fish and they did it at night. That was their time. So they're out in the water. They're in their familiar. Element and without warning ferocious storm comes up on the lake and the waves are sweeping over. The boat and jesus is sound asleep. No i say jesus was sound asleep. But wasn't he fully. God and god has never asleep so the man jesus was sound asleep but the god jesus was wide awake. He knew what was going on in their hearts he was watching them. The disciples go wake him and say lord save us. We're going to drown he. Replies you of little faith why are you so afraid. Then he got up and he rebuked the winds and the waves and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and ask what kind of man is this. Even the winds and waves obey him. They were still looking at jesus as though he were like them because he was in flesh because he had a beard because he had hair because he ate because he fulfilled the human functions. They said he's got to be like us. He was totally unlike them. He was the creator. God of heaven and earth. He had never been nonexistent. He had existed from try. Maternal always jesus had been in existence. He was totally unlike them and yet they looked at him and they said he's.

"His heart. He designed us that way. We have filled our human heart with everything else. Other than jesus christ and so there's unrest and disturbance in our spirit and we're saying some way we need to be delivered from all. This unrest will go to. Jesus jesus is the place of rest. We were designed by our creator to find rest in the heart of god. But we're flesh and we look at things to our own perspective. We have a worldview. Be interesting tonight to go to each one of you have some time to just ask you about your viewpoint. What's your viewpoint on life. What's your viewpoint on. How today has gone which your viewpoint on how the kids have been. What's your viewpoint almost without fail. I could assure you that most of you still have a viewpoint that begins around yourself and moves outward in other words when i look at you. Where do i look at you from. I look at you from my body so my viewpoint oreos me around ray greenlee. That's the human viewpoint. So that means i tend to look at you and say what do i need from you in other words from my viewpoint i need certain things. So how can i have. My needs met by one offer. That's the human viewpoint the human viewpoint says. can i use this circumstance to my advantage. Can i gain some good out of this. I was taught from early on that. Everything happens for a reason in a purpose and that reason in purposes so that i might learn and become a better person. That was a lie. Everything is in. Life is not designed to help me become a better person. It's not designed to be a bowl of cherries for me. I mean some of you've been dealing with the pits for so long. They have the right to this role rather than knee. Holly berry the actress. I'm going to take a step back. And i'm not even going to consider this and i think she took the right approach so i think that a lot of responsibility is being put. Not only on studio is put on the actors as well we've dealt into some of these questionable costing films recently the. I'm erin side of caution with all things. now i think Hire the most appropriate person that has lived that life or y- knows exactly what the flight is. So i can understand why barry stepped away from that. I was watching this movie. I was trying to think of other actors and oscar. Isaac would be someone. I could totally see this role in pulling it off. I think there are other options. I just again. I think ben affleck was pretty set on casting himself as the leader. Here was this the loss few years that you could get away with that then. The sort of twenty twelve twenty fifteen. Maybe i think so. Yeah yeah yeah oscar. Isaac would have been good. I'm just googled him. And i'm like. Oh yeah i remember him. He's good he would have been really good. In the role of tony mendez. He's i think he was able to carry the again. I say about ben. Affleck's performance is very grounded. And he isn't showy. I think Oscar is do the same Okay it sounds like we saw spoken about most of the cost now but is there any names on that list. You think we've missed it. Does mentioned we've talked about scoot mcnairy but there's a few others in that group of six. I think are quite strong. I thought tate donovan. As sort of the leader of the group. Bob anders was very effective. I've seen tate donovan. In many things over the years love potion number nine. He was on friends for a little while. I thought he was very good at providing that sort of calm for this group and i thought clear divall was very strong loved. Clear do ball. I thought she was really understated. And i i love everything that she does. I think tight was probably my favorite of the six with scoot being my least of the six. That's for personal reasons scared. "They're working in the in the consulate and the hiding out. The canadian embassy is is it the embassy or is it. The canadian diplomat's house diplomats house. Right the ambassador's home right. That's the one that's the one i know it's about the plan by ben. Affleck run the cia to get them out by in reality. It seems like it was mostly the canadian government that orchestra yell like a canadian government. Bought the plane tickets and had everything set up for them to show up in leave Yes candidate played a much larger role but at the same time. It's one of those things. It doesn't really bother me because the movie so gripping. Yeah i bump against it but then again no canadian so i didn't take offence. Either i mean. I think initially like when the article had a first came out i think the canadians were given maybe more credit. I'm not sure about was sort of how i'd read it. But then the movie kind of course corrected almost too much and they pulled back and didn't give the canadians enough credit but again i didn't take offence to it. I mean i'm sure. Can taylor obviously in reading. That took a little bit of offense because he wasn't portrayed exactly how he was in the situation. I think we all want to be portrayed accurately especially with the story that's claiming to be up historical significance but personally as a viewer. I really enjoyed it and it didn't bother me. Maybe just being canadian about us probably by did like the line where they're saying like everyone turn them away except the canadians. Of course the canadians let them in. Turn them away. Of course of course. Stuffy brits who are like no no trumpets nine coming in one section. That gets a lot of criticism. Is the finale to this where you have the complications at the airport. And then everything on the runway with them being chased by police cars. And what have you. None of that stuff happened but to me again. I don't care like ben. Affleck has like fingers on the pulse of this movie. The suspense going on in these sequences is so strong. And pulls me so in that. I really does. I don't care. I think it makes for it incredibly effective movie. And it's the sort of thing that i can completely look past because i'm so enraptured. By what the story is here. And what ben affleck wants to do with the film. He's an incredibly effective filmmaker at sequences. I was actually. I've saying i was watching live by night and like not a great movie but he has you know gun battles in that movie. That are just riveting. I think ben. Affleck is far better at suspense than we. Give them. credit for and everything to do with this. Finale i think is really top notch. It's necessary to write like isn't it. Don't you think it's necessary. Like i was telling my husband. Were watching it last night. I'm like none of this happened. Them putting this together right at the very end. They weren't stopped at the airport. But i as well. I just don't care. Because i think like you said ben affleck news exactly how to craft a compelling finales. You're ending without that. It's just like won't wall..

The story is quite hard hitting the real life stories and very harrowing at times. Do you have trouble dealing with these stories and trying to present them in positive ways getting information. Now how do you deal with all of that. Yeah it can be quite difficult. I think you need to really do certain. Cases when you intuitively feel like it's a good idea for me for me. It's particularly difficult when it's cases involving children. Those those cases really stick with me. They resonate with me because you know. Oftentimes we know so little about the children and they don't really have a voice you know in there aren't as many people to speak for them like there are adults so yeah. I'm i recently. Hey wilson you invite to the wedding. And i wanna know. Does she take him up on that offer i. It's a bold move. There's a lot. Bold moves out occur in that interaction first of all the fact that he is doing that. Same grand gesture with another girl the proposal again and then also another grand gesture. another one. the grand gesture also the very fact that he invites right in front of his new fiancee. Which is a bold move and then that she was to accept that also is a bold move so just a series of bold moves usable. I just want to know more. What happens yup. Yup yup kimberly suss status the sister in this movie. She doesn't do a ton but one thing she does do is confuse the heck out of me. What's going on with her and this movie. They're like hey kiddo. Look your parents aren't going to be together anymore. We're gonna live in separate locations. I know that that is heartbreaking for you. we're also getting rid of your dog. Dade when they got divorced they took that jokers dog to the pound. These people are monsters. How how do you do that to that. Poor kid like i just want to know his parents. How could you possibly go when we were together. You can have a dog but now that we're divorced we also are going to take the one constant in your like. I can't believe it. I can't believe that yes. I couldn't believe it. That was such a tough part of this movie to me. It doesn't make any sense though. Yeah no parents are like look. It's going to be tough on the kid. Should we get rid of this dog. Yeah should we. Should we really get our bang for buck here and really devastate him like nobody does that. That's awful. I just don't understand..

"This bram quality podcast award iheartmedia give sat nam. The show we're talking about what In the go wait. What panda at the very beginning of the movie. She's at this place. Called new modern first of all great modernism. New modernisers right. Which is just. We're talking from a philosophy with postmodern. Anyway that's not the wait. What although it could be one the wait. What is she goes up to a sculpture. That i'm not really sure what's happening there. But there's like a piece of fuzz connecting. It's like there's a piece of the sculpture connected to the fuss at. She knocks it off. And then he's about the polish often entire thing of just rainbow springs. I gotta be honest with you does does not the healthiest thing. Do you do this on the regular good. Gosh i suggest look readily available. Do the do the chocolate tasting front like the chocolate sprinkles in this i do. I'm a rainbow rainbow jimmies. I'm sorry really know your she. She knocks all part of the sculpture. And then it comes back to her and she's like she puts it back. She puts the sculpture back on but then she goes back ribs like doing like i. Just i don't. I don't understand and then somebody was like i guess that's why they call it new modernism. I don't understand that has to do and he's not doesn't make any sense. This movie has a really fun feature that will if aiding this will be the thing that stands on. This movie is how many times people suddenly appear in this movie out of nowhere. I mean it happens with mike multiple times but my favorite bit is the lamp guy. They're watching a horror movie and then the lamp guy comes out of nowhere. Just sets down the lamp directly behind them in the creepiest way possible. How did he get the. There's an elevator to get to the guy's house. How did he get in without them. Hearing where did he come from. That wasn't even the right direction he was supposed to be coming from. If you have so many questions about one of the most absurdist pieces of film making it does seen in homework ever. He looks like he's there to rob the place. He's in all black black gloves black hat and he just waits to the suspenseful most suspenseful part of the movie just wham sets down the lamps and it does not make any sense at all whatsoever. My final wait. Why is she has one client at him and she forgets to tell him away. Your floors are going to be completely refinished today. You can't walk on them for six hours you like. Just how do you forget. He's one client. You're one you're one job up and let your client knows. Some people are coming in to redo your force. You can't say it's nighttime when he's there. The other thing is hardwood floors. It's a minimum of twenty four hours. A minimum you. Don't go back in the house for twenty four to forty eight hours until they're completely sealed that is standard operating procedure to to not tell them as bad and then to say it's six hours. No big deal is even worse like. She's just not good at her job. Well and then also if you look at the floor tile in there so the whole thing is not leaving room. I i know at one point. I just saw tile be re ceiling tile floors and make. That would be a wait what. That's why we do this she. She's resealing tiles. I don't know. I just. I didn't see i know what i'm sure part of it was would. I'm i'm sure it's on me. I'm sure he's always my fault. Step aside home down. I saw tile my biggest. What is this girl who has been an engaged three times because she can't say no to. A proposal has the nerve to call andrew walker damaged goods because his parents got divorced contrite. That is the ultimate what this movie. There's this girl. Three tenths parents got divorced. Welcome do like most people nowaday and not marriage material. I her own. Admission in all three cases said yes to the proposal because she was felt pressured to do so. Three times stood learner lesson but the guy that could be on commitment in marriage is the guy whose parents are divorced. It's absurd bad. couple of other things She gives a business card to a komo that the sister gives a business card is just paper. Paper paper paper card The the the punching back. Let's talk about the punching back. So he says that most of the stuff was moved in was already here when he moved in except for like three things was pillow as mom made was like a couch. He doesn't mention the country says the couch the tv and one of them. Yeah and the pillow the pillow. That's yeah he does not mention the punching bag came included. The punching bag came in far. I mean cool. I mean that's nice and cool bachelor super You know this is just I think home. Are you know pretty good at doing this. Type of goof More that they're making them but she she's in a completely different sweater when they go there at the shelter and there you know he shows up for the first time and then they go to take the dog outside for a walk and she's just an completely different sweater she goes for its great greater brown. How did that happen. How did it happen real bad. It's just amazing. I think she filmed at the same day. She feel the last seen at the dot the last seen at the dog shelter when she's given merry christmas dog bones. She's in that darker sweater that she wears when they're walking. So it's probably a filmmaking situation. Classic foam considered yeah. There's a bunch in this. it's all starts the first poker game though. He's having poker night with his boys and a couple of weird things happened first of all. He's got a friend named stu. I wouldn't trust do as far as i could throw him but he was like. They're trying to argue. As if there's such thing as soulmates. And stu is married supposedly happily married not like on the fence about and they're like s- to be honest is bev. The one bev's his wife out hopes. And stu doesn't know stupid. You're married bro like you can't there no no no.

I'm so he's at this art thing for a client jesse's there's well and he finds out that she's an interior designer and it's like hey can you come and do my place. And she's like no but her sister overhears and is like she will be there so she shows up and awkward and then her an engagement ring pops out of her bag that she has whether all the time And it's boom.
