Djokovic tops Paul; faces Tsitsipas in Australian Open final

"No, that joke of it just ended the run of the American Tommy Paul to move into the men's Australian open final and give himself a shot at a tenth title in Melbourne. The Serbian advance with a 7 6 6 one 6 two score line that belied just how hard he had to work for victory with Paul bush and Djokovic to many long draining rallies, some lasting more than 20 shots. He will meet the former French Open finalist, if Anna sets a pass in the battle for the title, the flamboyant Greek star, reaching his first Australian open finale with a fighting force that win over the hard hitting Karen kajen off. Governor Ron DeSantis Joins Charlie for an Exclusive Interview

"Desantis, thank you for sitting down. Welcome to Tallahassee, Florida. First time in the mansion, it's pretty awesome. Yeah. Well, we're happy to have you. Thank you. So a lot of people were talking about how there was going to be a red wave in November. And it seemed as if it was a red ripple except here. What happened? Well, it's interesting because we knew we were going to do well. They called the race right at poll closing. I gave the victory speech like 9 o'clock. And I really thought that we had set off a red wave that would sweep the country. And then I remember like after I gave this speech, some of my folks on my campaign were like governor, this is not a red wave. Like, what do you mean it's not a red wave? We went by 20 points like no, no, no, it is here, but we're not seeing it in Pennsylvania. We're not seeing it in some of these other areas. Our candidates are in trouble. Look, in Florida, I think what we were able to do is, you know, I came in. I want a razor thin election, 30 some thousand votes. But I said, okay, I want a close election, but I got a 100% of the executive power. So I'm going to set a vision. I'm going to execute that vision. I'm going to deliver results for people. We obviously had to do that through things like COVID-19, where I had a chance to do things which were not popular with the media, but we stood up for parents. We set up for business owners. We stood up for people's jobs. And so we were able, I think, to develop a record of achievement and really produce results that resonated with not just Republicans, which of course did strongly. We want independence overwhelmingly. And we even want a decent chunk of Democrats. We had the highest percentage of the Latino vote in the history of the state of Florida for any candidate, and I got the highest percentage of the vote that any Republican governor candidate has ever gotten in the history of the state of Florida. You won

"We had some hacks and goons in the media losing their minds over the speakers fight saying oh the public's never going to forget Everybody was melting down peeing their diapers or whatever As predicted of course the public did forget The people move on And you guys you and the other 19 the brave 20 who stood up got some really great concessions And I have to say in a hat tip to the speaker who if he you know we're going to keep him in check That's what we do here but he booted Adam Schiff and Eric swalwell off those committees Yes So we're going to keep him in check I know you are but that was kind of a good development You can't have these guys in these committees They're national security threats They absolutely are And this isn't anything that's political This is for the security of our nation If it was political they wouldn't be serving on any committees just like Nancy Pelosi did to Republicans in the last Congress So this outrage that they have over being taken off of these significant committees where they could do a lot of damage to our country is completely bogus And how rich is it that Ilhan Omar is standing in a press conference which Eric smells not so well and Adam Schiff Talking about their committee assignments being taken from them When she called for me to be removed from committees in the last Congress So you know I mean the hypocrisy is always on full display when it comes to the dunes on the left But you know this is justice Democrats have set the precedence They have they have already made it clear that they'll remove people from committees And we're just trying to protect our nation from people who are a threat

Chief defends delay telling public of mass shooter at-large

"The police chief in the California city where 20 people were shot at a ballroom dance hall, 11 fatally, is defending his decision not to warn the public for hours that a killer was on the loose. I'm Ben Thomas with the latest. Monterey Park police chief Scott Weiss tells the AP other law enforcement in the region were alerted, but it didn't make sense to warn the public late at night, even after receiving a report that the suspect may have targeted another club nearby. I'm not going to send my officers door to door, waking people up and telling them that we're looking for a male Asian in Monterey Park. It's not going to do us any good. We said the scene inside the club was overwhelming. There were victims about every ten feet. And his team needed help. Nobody in our department, including myself, has ever been involved in a situation like this. They brought in the LA county sheriff's department, they'd be able to pull that information out and get it out to the public if it was necessary. A sheriff's official confirmed the fatalities to the AP about four hours after the shooting, but it was roughly an hour later the first word came a suspect was at large. Several hours later, he was found dead in his van, authorities saying, from a self inflicted gunshot. I'm Ben Thomas

Rep. Scott Perry: Impeach Alejandro Mayorkas

"Curious to know why you want to impeach secretary Alejandro mayorkas. Well, Todd, good day to you as well and good day to America because Republicans are finally in charge of one of the branches of the legislature and there can be some accountability. So look, secretary mayorkas has made the case for impeachment himself. He's not only flouting the law, just ignoring it, but he's actively he's actively objecting to the law and refusing to follow it and imperiling the citizens of the United States of America. We each take an oath to uphold and defend the constitution of the United States, not the constitution of Mexico or Guatemala or Columbia or Venezuela. We all want to help Todd. Everybody wants to help these people in need, but the way to help them, the people in need is not by stomping on the face of the people that you serve. And the people that we serve pay the taxes, it's their schools that are in peril. It's their streets. It's their hospitals. It's their paycheck and their wallet that's in peril and our duty is first to them. And so with all due respect, secretary mayorkas has presided over record after record of illegal crossings into the United States of America, not the least of which is Chinese made fentanyl coming in and killing American citizens more double every year than what we lost in 20 years in combat in Vietnam. Now many people don't see an issue, maybe they don't maybe it's not come to their hometown or their family, but by the time it does, unfortunately, it's deadly serious and we have a duty to make sure that we preserve the tranquility, the domestic tranquility that the people in America have a right given them to them by God to enjoy. You know what

Republicans Aim High for 2024

"Senator, this is controversial when I'm about to ask you, I don't expect a complete answer yet. I want the NRSC to play in primaries. Not all of them. I want them to support, for example, Jim banks and try and keep that field clear so we don't waste money on a seat that's easy for Jim banks to win in Indiana. Montana, you've got two congressmen, they're both friends of yours, Ryan zinke, and Matt rosendale. I don't know if you can do that in Montana. In West Virginia, you're going to have like 20 candidates. What is the NRC's position going to be about participating early in identifying a candidate who is the strongest candidate who can win and funding them before the primary vote? Yeah. Well here, if there's something that we learned from the 22 cycle, is that we've got to get candidates that can win a primary, but importantly can win a general election. I am tired of losing. And at the end of the day, winners make policy and losers go home. We've got to find candidates that not only can win primaries, but can win general elections. So it's still very early, but it's not lost on us that we will do whatever it takes to win to make sure that in 24 we have a Republican majority. Here's why as well. If you look a little bit longer term, look to the end of the decade, if you look at the 24 cycle, the 26 cycle and the 28 cycle. In 2024, as I mentioned earlier, we have three Democrats up in red states. Those are great pickup opportunities. But you look at 26, there are zero. You look at 28, there are zero. Few, we either deliver a majority in 24 or we could see the United States Senate with an enduring minority as Republicans for the rest of the decade, the stakes could not be higher. It's very important we win general election.

Who Is Watching the Eyes of the CCP?

"You received an invitation or you asked for an invitation to speak to the Republican governors associated to the national governors association. NGA. And they said, huh? And you showed up and you told them that each of them had been classified by the Chinese government, that got their attention. When you tell the audience a little bit about that story, which they've got to read in full to appreciate, but the CCP has a file on every governor and they are classified. So I had seen hints of this when I was a CA director, but I became Secretary of State. I was able to see it more clearly. And I was able to get this document declassified. It was written nominally by a Chinese think tank. But what they've done at the direction of the Chinese Communist Party was to continue to evaluate all 50 governors of the United States of America. And they would rank them. Friend foe or were working on them. And by the time I got it to classify, I'd also noted that there was a meeting in Washington, D.C., where all the governors would be. And so I called governor Hogan and then governor of New York, Cuomo, and asked for 20 minutes. They gave me 20 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. It was pretty sleepy day. But when I began to lay out for them the fact that the Chinese Communist Party was watching them, observing them, running influence operations against them and had measured them, had raided them, essentially said, do we have them in our pocket yet or not, boy, I had their attention. They all, they all turned immediately to their devices or to their chiefs of staff and says, hey, I got to have a copy of that. I got to know where I am. And I wanted them to just be a little taken back, but mostly I wanted to remind them that this isn't just an attack on our federal government. It is at every level of our government today that the Chinese Communist Party is conducting its assault against our freedoms.

"A Hawaii man imprisoned for more than 20 years on murder and rape charges has been ordered released. I'm Ben Thomas, with a closer look. It was one of Hawaii's most infamous murders. Christmas Eve 1991 on the big island, 23 year old Dana Ireland, a blond haired blue eyed visitor from Virginia, found barely alive in the bushes along a trail. Sexually assaulted and beaten, she died at hilo medical center. Three native Hawaiian men were convicted, Albert Ian Schweitzer, sentenced to 130 years in prison. He was the last of the three still in prison. The innocence project took up his case, presenting the court with new evidence, including DNA, which they argued showed he didn't commit the crimes. The judge ordered Schweitzer be released from his shackles immediately, prompting applause and hugs, Schweitzer told reporters he's grateful. I'm Ben Thomas

"Church in washington illinois. While john get through sits in jail charged with two stanford murders. I learned that years before his arrest authorities had been alerted to his passed by a tip to the fbi. I'm calling to let you know about a man in california who has committed murder that you probably have no idea about and the reason i know about this man as he killed my sister in one thousand nine hundred sixty three. My sister margaret. As a young child brought a lot of joy to our family. she was A very caring kind of person and when my sister died. Some of the joy of the family was stolen. Margaret was fairly quiet. Both of us were. I think probably every child takes their childhood is a normal childhood. It's only as you get older that you notice. Maybe it wasn't my father and his father before him where ministers my father was an army chaplain. He was a pastor in the military serving about quotes. Knock at a military base there or the army. in europe. Germany was the frontier knock is a community in. Germany is not real large but an army base was established there. One many of those with families live in apartment buildings and totally american communities. The military community was about two thousand people so it was like a very small town. Everyone knew everybody. So i think that game feeling of set of safety and security. My sister was a freshmen. In highschool john gadgetry was a junior in high school. He was eighteen so he was older for junior. And my sister's been described to me by a couple of classmates as being one of the very innocent girls and so there was an activity at the a a the american youth activities building also just called the teen center and they'd get together and and play some records dance and so there was this after school gathering. My parents were expecting your home by eleven o'clock that knock-kneed activity ended at ten thirty. And something my father wrote. He was talking about how it started raining so he drove to the youth activities building and he found out she had left five minutes before he got. When she didn't arrive home he hoped that she had just stopped because of the rain and then would be coming along soon but then when she did not arrive by midnight they called authorities and said our daughter always shows up for curfew and she's not home. Her body was found. I think at one eleven. Am to your knowledge how. She was strangled and Yeah there were friends of hers that as they saw her. Step out of the buildings that you want to go with us. And i suspect that margaret in that matter of meeting curfew was just oriented on here. My parents expectations at time for me to go home and so she was seen with. John drew outside of that building by more than one person. She had evidently walked with him and her walk with him led to a baseball field. That was behind the activities building where he raped and murdered her. It was really rough. My mother never wanted to see my sister dead body at all. So we had a closed casket for a real long time after that. I still couldn't believe my sister was dead. I was looking for her everywhere. I went i expected to see her. Tonga was convicted in german courts as juvenile and nineteen sixty four. That meant that he would end up with a shorter sentence and he would also be in juvenile detention. The maximum sentence for juvenile at the time was ten years for homicide for some reason. Get your only served six years and we found this memo and it basically said you know john. Getcha will be released from germany march seventh nineteen sixty-nine and he must leave in twenty four hours. They released him on one day and he was on a plane the next day to the united states and it's kind of like germany going okay out of our hands in the last ten years or so it. Just start nagging at me. More and more the thought that he would commit more violent crimes and so i was able to look up his name. I knew his age. And i found that he was a resident in california. That got my attention and made me think he could potentially be the golden state killer. But i did not know that he'd committed any more violent crimes. But i thought that because because of the particulars of what had happened with my sister that he would commit more violent crimes. John was able to kill other women because he clothed himself in this image as a loving husband and father my god. He did it when he was married to me. My name is susan. I was married to john. Get through from nineteen seventy two one thousand nine hundred seventy eight. I moved to california with my daughter who was five at the time and i was a single parent at the time when i met him. I really felt like nobody really knew what john was lake. He just had this persona about him that everybody was like. Oh he's such a great guy. And i'm over here going. Oh my goodness if anyone could just really know what a real with the real guy was like. But i john get. Through in redwood city he was the cass tech in the orthopedic department. I were there as a receptionist when i first met. Him is a very nice very pleasant and everybody seemed to like kim. I don't know anybody who didn't like him He was very yeah. He was very likable. it didn't like him from the pretty much the minute i met him. He tried to be my dad like trying to take that role even before they were engaged. For instance there was a an alley behind our apartment building. That was really one of the only places to play otherwise were on frontage road of the freeway else so you know. There was the carport area and ali behind and when he came i was all of a sudden not allowed to play in the alley and he caught me playing in the alley one time and that his going to me with his dot. Those are like the first memories that i have of him trying to be my dad and me not really wanting that you know at that time. John was also babysitting my daughter when i would go and play go bowling. I bowled once a week. Yeah yeah he babysat me. I i don't know how often on. But i definitely remember him babysitting me. I remember him me off the frigging balcony by my feet. You know he's standing on the balcony. And i'm hanging over the railing looking down at the ground to stories down. I thought it was going to on my head and die and he thought he was laughing at it. And i'm freaking out scary very very scary to me. The biggest singer members when she told me they were gonna get married. And i was just like no. Don't do that. please don't do that. I pretty much begged her not to marry him. There was nothing about of my leg. That was very uncomfortable from the minute. I met him and i tried really hard to impress that on my mom but she just didn't see what i saw apparently because then she married him..

"In bed. He had stalled detectives out the door trying to serve him with a warrant by saying he needed to get dressed. It comes with great honor to announce we solved the year cold-case when we did for the forensic examination on his computers. Stephen crawford had hundreds of thousands thousands and thousands of images and videos of chelpanov affi floppy disks after floppy disks floppy disk of images and videos depicting murder and torture of women teenagers and young children. Some of the videos. That i watched things being done are things that are going to help me the rest of my life crawford is the biggest cowered in the world. He's lived this life knowing that he murdered her. And i wanna make sure that we look at other cases that he could have been responsible for this type of murder in my experience. It's not just one person. So i hope that we continue to look at. What else did he do. Investigators wondered was stephen crawford also responsible for the other stanford murders that began in nineteen seventy three with the murder of twenty one year old. Leslie para lawf- leslie pearl off. Her body was discovered in the foothills behind the campus on stanford land. She parked her orrin chevy nova to the side of the road and then just walked off to take a picture. She wanted to commission an artist. She knew to paint a watercolour landscape. For my mother's birthday. Leslie was a stanford grad that was going to be going to law school. She'd gone up to the hills to take photographs. I believe and was strangled and murdered. Leslie and i looked a lot alike. I mean we looked like twins. Leslie was my mentor and my protector. And i always felt safe around leslie. My name is diane love. And i'm leslie prologues younger sister. We were separated by about fourteen months. Leslie was my best friend and she was a wonderful sister. Leslie was very bright and she was raised to not be ashamed of being smart as a young girl. Leslie was one of the brightest students in our class. She was going to go to the best universities. She wanted to be president of the united states. She went through high school in three years. She went through college in three years. Stanford was the college to go to. My uncle went to stanford and then my mom went to stanford and then leslie went to stanford she wanted to learn about the world. She wanted to find out what was out there and experience it and make it a better place. Leslie was always very interested in justice shoes interested in helping the underdog she was in love and she was hoping to be married and she was ready to make the difference that she could in the world. I just can't imagine for her her dear heart and her brilliant gentle self to have the horror of that experience. I still can't imagine. I did a year abroad in ghana west africa and probably got a phone call was marine from the us embassy and he said i had a telegram. You wanna come and get it. It's a no we'd it to me. "The murder inside stanford memorial church has a sheriff's homicide detail somewhat baffled. Whoever carried out the sex torture slaying of nineteen year old arlos perry left little if any evidence behind but all indications are that it may have been carried out as part of a bizarre ritual or candles found paraphernalia that would indicate some sort of ritual had taken I don't really know at this. Particular time can answer that question. A lot of the talk rumors were satanic. Could it be called related this net. The other thing there was a group of guys in town. They dress like catholic priest but they had red collars on and they'd go up to her. All the high school kids hung around up at abm kings food host and they would talk to argue with us about christianity. And god and whatever else you know. And i know our lous got involved in the case of trying to convert them a little bit and actually. I heard that she actually went to a meeting of theirs at one time. It got to a point where we didn't know if we really wanted to know everything but it was in the paper every day. It was on the news every day due to the way that the actual murderer looked like a ritual type of murder so everybody was assuming that it was part of that that type of a cultish type of ritual one of the theories came from an author and his theory wise that earlier was hunted. Stockton slain in california. You have to keep in mind. Police and investigators could not tell even the family members the truth about the way she.

My father demanded that we have a funeral within just a couple of days and we were all still devastating reeling from the shock of my mother. Passing away my dad said. We need to have the funeral on saturday. That would have been three days after her death. Martin was adamant things were going to be done his way. Her own brothers and sisters weren't allowed to attend the funeral martin. Threaten the summers family of anyone showed up. He was going to call. Police have misquoted from the funeral. Certain members of the family were told if they showed up that he'd have the vest quarter alba police. Among the crowd of michelle's friends and neighbors was one mysterious dark-haired woman who was not invited to the funeral who had never met michelle. And that was gypsy jillian willis. Why would you go to her funeral. Who invited you. I know one invited me. I just found out where crashed funeral. I i had felt sorry that i had been involved with martin and appropriately. I felt sorry to show that. Sarah was to go to her funeral. No one knew who i was. Martin knew who you are new high was and that's why i was there. I knew it would be a hard time for him. Gypsy was very concerned about staying connected with martin. After michelle's death. She was almost desperate to stay involved in martin's life. Now that michelle was gone you did send him to suggestive pictures of your naked back. Why did you do that. i wanted to keep his attention. It's cold it sounds heartless. I'm sorry but i. I knew that he would be having a hard time. Not thinking of of me and that was selfish. You understand that from the outside looking in your having an affair. With this man the wife inexplicably dies. You show up to a funeral. Sent him text messages during the funeral. It looks like you've come in to claim your prize. I did not look at like that. We come to find out that my dad had been dating gypsy for several years before my mom's death both alexis and rachel volunteered right away that they would take care of the younger children but martin had a set plan right away. He was going to hire a nanny and he said oh. I found the perfect nanny. And i said what's her name and he said. Oh i think. It's i think it's chilean dad. Gypsy jillian willis. I said i know that woman. I know mom was worried. You were having affair with her and you are not to bring her in the home and said there is going to be an interview for a nanny and there was only one candidate and that was gypsy matching that she got the job and she didn't cook she didn't clean shouldn't take care of the children. Anyway why did you move into the home. Martin told me that he needed.

"Evolved into the real thing with anna so around the same time that she meets. J howard marshall she meets somebody else. One day she walks into a gay club and all eyes are on anna but her eyes are on this woman named sandy who works in a store that sells garden supplies. Anna shows up at her house in a big white limousine with flowers and gifts and their relationship got very very serious and said she loved sandy. They had wedding rings. They were going to carry on a continual relationship. She even mentioned that you know that would that was going to be her life. They live together for a while and it seemed like they had a very loving relationship and she had a boyfriend girlfriend. It was non out normal for anna to have several boyfriends or girlfriends at the same time she didn't hide it and it didn't bother her she seems to be woman of considerable. Appetites likes a lot of input. She eats and drinks freely. She seems to take on a fair amount of lovers. Thanks to her time with jay. Hard marshall the second new appetite for extremely expensive jewelry gives vicky jewelry a house. A red mercedes convertible and breast augmentation surgery and he buys her a rich and arabian horses to go with. The rich vicky loves animals and she especially loves her horses so he takes vicky till his favorite restaurant red lobster and there he proposes again. I mean he's a billionaire and his favorite restaurant is red lobster and he actually asked her to marry him at the table. Anna said no. I know i'm not going to get married until i'm able to support myself and make it on my own. I'm going to make it on my own. So at the time even while she's engaged this kind of elaborate courtship with j. Howard marshall the second she has a boyfriend picks a few pictures of her and sends them so photographer. Manager scout for playboy in the texas area. Came in was quite taken. She'll amazon between very tall five foot. Eleven or five inch heels spandex dressed this awful blue eye-shadow but underneath all of it you saw the face walked a little trumpy to walk like a duck but anna nicole. Smith was the sweetest girl you with. Everyone in the you would want is assistant since the film off to berry next day playboy called and they said this girl's going to play around nineteen ninety-two my uncle company humanitarian nikki may playboy and i said what he says she may play boringness it he she did not coming out. I was proud of her. But i was like. She's here now and she's never been. I'm a little person now. I i think when i was feeling. She appears on the cover of playboy in march of one thousand nine hundred ninety two. It is a life changing event. Because paul marciano who runs guess jeans sees refunds marciano calls playboy and a meeting. The setup came to see me. And i didn't think he likes me at first so they put Ma- made my hair and they made up for the dress. Me and stuff and i remember walking on the trailer forget. He walked up in the trailer. His mouth is dropped. Tell you i think he likes to know marciano. Thanks vicky needs a new name so together they come up with anna nicole nicole. Smith's i sort of burst on the seed. She did look like any model. Anyone had seen for a long time. She was curvy. She was voluptuous at a time. When models very very thin so much of the beauty that came before that was was really about this emphasis on the narrowness of the body that you just couldn't even achieve like i'm like am i even a person so when you saw her was like rear really doing something different. You know you sort of think about blondes as being this kind of metaphor for female power and female empowerment and control that we actually have over men. It seems so exciting those pictures alone. I think mesmerized the world that first day shooting forgets makes anna nicole smith a worldwide stone. And she's about to get everything she could have possibly of dreamed of and a lot of things that she never dreamed of. That are kind of nightmare. Guests campaign is major. It shows up everywhere it plays anna's glamour and makes her hugely famous meanwhile playboy continuing to eventually her playmate. I worked with her over a year's period of time and you could see the difference because came in. She was just throw from a fried chicken place now. She was big star. She wasn't going to trust anybody who's going to perform for you. Probably back in the strip club. She really had the ability to make you believe that you were very special..
