"Christmas, everybody. It's Doug Collins. Today's gonna be a special edition of the Doug Collins podcast. And we're just gonna take back, we're not gonna, I don't have a guess today, I don't have we're not gonna talk politics. We're not gonna talk the different things. We're gonna talk about really for just a little while. About this Christmas season about the season. That we're in right now the holiday season and there's many things going on and people are rushing back and forth. But I just wanted to take a minute. You know, from my perspective and that would be a Christmas Day, a Christian based Christmas perspective. That gives us an opportunity to reflect on what really, really matters. And some things, for those of you who know, I was actually pastored for over 11 years at a church called chickpea baptist church and gangs will Georgia just outside of games bloom 20 games when oakwood. And every year, and I've shared this before. I am not the Christmas person as I have grown older. In other words, my wife, she decorates everything. My wife has the house completely decorated. It's beautiful. She does all of it herself this year being retired. She's had more time than ever in our House literally. It looks like a winter Wonderland. I love to say that her eyes glisten because she just gets so excited about Christmas. I'm excited about Christmas in the sense of I like Christmas, but I also am sort of a melancholy Christmas person. I like the significance of meaning, but for me, it's always been sorted toward the end of the year and when I was passing. Christmas and then new year's, you were coming to the end of a year and I liked the little things. The little things began to be the thing that drove me, the quiet moments, the silent nights, playing, I don't know about you, maybe for you. It's when you play silent not very slowly on a piano. It is amazing to me. You take songs and just the breadth and depth of Christmas for me was in those moments of reflection. Those moments of looking at what Christmas means, and if you look at it from our Christian perspective, it means that Jesus was born.

"Next up, but not last up I want to talk a moment about official PlayStation PC sales. Binge sales at bingy sales on Twitter, fantastic guy covers a lot of the different sales metrics that we see for these various different video game systems and had some information about official PlayStation PC sales and I want to knock these out for you guys just for a second. Horizon Zero Dawn, 2.39 million copies sold, about 60 million in revenue. Days gone 852,000 at 22.7 million in revenue and God of War, 971,000 at 26.2 million. Now I want to point out that even though days gone was out for far longer, I am quite surprised that God of War isn't more or that maybe days gone is that many. Those being that close together even again for a full year away from each other was a little bit surprising to me. I don't know why just assumed especially with God of War, the ability to do some mods possibly for that game adjust it and those people who maybe just never got to actually leap into God of War, it's such a premier title. That would have actually sold even more than we get here. Still, not bad, the game is obviously doing well 26.2 million in revenue again. This is something that as we look forward, Sony also did a business meeting and discussed their future and the ideas that they have, which include 12 service games that are currently in the works. Now, whether that takes into account a couple of the various different bungee games, we don't know, but even if that took into account four or 5 that still leaves around 8 full service games and Sony made it clear that they are hinging on service games as a massive increase in their sales. They also expect that within the future couple years, 50% of all of Sony sales will be mobile and PC. Exponential growth is what they expect within the mobile NPC market. I, for one, have no issues with mobile games on the side of the main games, you know, something a little bit like fallout shelter versus fallout, that kind of thing. For some of these larger games in particular, you could really actually make something quite interesting. Additionally, as we move forward tablets and cell phones are becoming incredibly powerful. So the idea of putting something on here like a hitman go could be a phenomenal step when it's connected to one of these premier titles from Sony. Sony definitely discussed some things that I know made a couple fans a little bit nervous, especially hinging on those service games and discussing mobile and PC. But I personally feel that that platform is open for them, and the PC platform is at such a different price rate that really it makes sense to release some of them at least day and date on the PC as well as the Sony PlayStation, especially with Sony still not able to get Sony PlayStations into people's hands as much as they would certainly like to. And continuing on the Sony rampage of news, Sony says that PlayStation VR two will have over 20 launch games. Now this is from Jim Ryan. He said that Sony entertainment is spending a considerable amount of money secure in VR content from third party developers. If you will notice they say third party developers when they're actually talking about these 12 games being ready. If I looked at this myself, I would say that most likely what we'll see is two to three first party games as well as those third party titles. But as I was looking at what titles, Sony has that they could move to first person. I would love for them if they're not going to bring back resistance as a first person pancake version, bring a resistance, a full on resistance.

But generally speaking for both teams, they play within division and the division for the, uh, for the Dodgers. You got the Reds and then you got the Brewers in the Final three. And it may not mean anything for the birds because if the Giants and the Dodgers are ahead of the Brewers And there are going to already going to win that division. They may not by anybody, so we'll see. That's what Yeah, they don't do in baseball in Milwaukee is going to win their division. So they're going to their last game is going to be on a Sunday and they're not going to start and so the following Friday, so they're going to play their guys. Now they'll get their pitching rotation lined up. So you know, at the end of the year they're going to. They're going to keep what Griffin Burns. They got Peralta back in the rotation. You know, I think that's more. That's a concern to being off so long. But as far as San Diego 10 of the last 19, the Giants play will be against San Diego. After this road trip. They're coming home in San Diego is right there waiting for you on the 13th last three games the year against San Diego. What's weird about that to me? Is if the Dodgers to win the National League West. Going to have so many of these matchups against San Diego, and then it all rolls into that wild card game, possibly against San Diego. "That Not only did Yonas make Fairly surprise return. I think a lot of us expected him to play. Based on the Chris Haynes report from the Eastern Conference finals that he would have participated. He would have been out there for a Game seven Had Atlanta been able to push the series that far. But it's certainly a surprise that he played the level that he did. Almost 20 and 20 game. You put all that together. And it sure would have seemed like we'd be talking today about a Milwaukee bucks. Series opening victory. Instead. They were utterly and totally dominated. Final score. 118 to 1. Oh, five. And it's true Milwaukee made a run and credit them a little bit of great little bit of toughness at the end of the third quarter. But this was the story. Last night. Of the reality that the Phoenix Suns and their the final so this isn't a shocking statement. By far the best team in the NBA. They've also been the healthiest have gotten some help. But that's been true of everything that's gotten here, including Milwaukee. When Chris Paul plays the way that he did. When DeAndre Ayton does. The things that he did last night. When Devin Booker plays like a star. It's hard to see any scenario any scenario. Where Milwaukee beats this Phoenix team and I got family and it Wisconsin. Some of you were listened yesterday to this show. And when I was filling in for for Jim on the Jim roam show, I think lacrosse Wisconsin, a buddy of my uncle sent my uncle note and I got a little little grief for for not taking Milwaukee. Uncle John Wisconsin Bucks fans love you all. Sounds are too good if they play like that. Chris Paul has 73 points in his last two games. Game one of the NBA finals last night. And the clinching game going back to the Western Conference finals last week. That is tied for the most over to game span. In his career. One of the great point guards we've seen. The guy that I do not like. But Whose skill set is Almost unrivaled to that position in my lifetime. Is playing the best basketball of his life right now, that is hard to beat. And he's a big part of the reason. By the way, DeAndre Ayton has gotten to the level that he's gotten to my colleague. My friend Avery Johnson talked last night on the broadcast with me and the guys at CBS Sports HQ. About the way in which the sons in the middle pick and roll. Dominated and had their way with the Milwaukee Bucks, and that's true and it's easier said than done to shut that down when Chris Paul Is the instrument of the catalyst. For that offensive attack. But when you do that, as successfully as Phoenix did last night, and just in general what Chris Paul brings the table Has helped to turn DeAndre Ayton into a beast. We've talked about this on the show. I've talked about it for months now. The reality. The truth that Aidan had a confidence problem had trouble living up to that number one overall draft selection that labels you with the expectations that you've got to be great. Not good, not okay. Not maybe someday you got to be great. And the fact that Chris Paul has entered that mix. That offense and then on that pick and roll. He gets DeAndre Ayton really easy buckets you've seen all year and certainly this postseason at whatever point you started paying attention to Phoenix. The confidence it is infused dating with and the way that it has supercharged his potential. That was true Last night, a lot of easy buckets. Chris Paul translated on the defensive side to real energy and confidence in a lot of defensive rebounds. And that meant the last night on top of Chris Paul, literally having the second night of The best personal Offensive output in two consecutive NBA games and Chris Paul's 16 year history on top of CP three Having Maybe. One of the best games of his career, given the context DeAndre Ayton joined Bill Russell, Kareem and Wilt. It's pretty good. It's pretty good company, man. Russell Karimun will now DeAndre Ayton. As the only players with 20 or more points. 15 or more rebounds. And 80, or better field goal. Shooting percentage in the finals game in the shot clock era. And Devin Booker is just the other guy, right? 27 points. 12 in the first quarter when they set the tone. It is really hard to see a scenario. Where Milwaukee beats this team and I know I got to be careful. I've covered enough NBA finals. We've seen enough sports To know that you can't Label any series any game, but certainly a seven game series in the NBA. As over after Game one. I covered I've covered all of them, but the one that that stands out Is the calves getting down 3 to 1 against the Golden State Warriors team that have won 73 regular season games. And that's certainly seem poised. To cement themselves and mint themselves as the greatest team in the history of the NBA, or at least in that car reasonably in that conversation. And we know the story. Cavs win. Game five and they win Game six. Then they completely improbable turn around. Anything can happen. And if you want to If you want to be positive on behalf of the Milwaukee Bucks. If you want to take a silver lining, there are some. They haven't won a lot of game ones over the course of this run. And really over the course of the honest era, and they're obviously in an NBA finals. The fact you're honest was out there is really not just out there played pretty well. Little bit of rust That's expected The guy can't shoot a free throw still. That's problematic. 2017 Coming off an injury that he thought was going to end. His season and maybe his basketball. "He's with the kings is back in the taxi squad. I mean injury-wise. The kings are in pretty good shape. I've not been decimated here. In the first twenty games they did have the to kobylt related instances with author So yeah it's just a reason to have bodies on the road if you're on a six game road trip and three guys go down in the same game. You've got those three guys with you on the road. But what are the chances of that happening. I mean. I think we're all making too much of this taxi. Squad and kings pretty much right have only had four on it right. You can have six but only had four. I think at one time and they interchange the younger players because they want the players to play. They don't want to sit for two weeks. They wanted to go back antero. And if they're not playing with the kings play some games so they have them so many players who are waivers exempt. That for the most part i mean i think they put gross nick on waivers right at the start of the season he was claimed and then since then. I don't think they've had the place another player on waivers They just sort of rotate guys on paper more than anything else onto off of the taxi squad just to just to meet the requirements and they've actually handled it pretty craftily. "I mean still. They're just going to get better and better You throw on roy and walker. I mean they don't have that much experience either. And i'm expecting them to get better and with all four of those. I'm looking at those four anderson bjarne foot walker. Roy i think to me what what will make them. More efficient players is when they get more experience. Get stronger as jim mentioned. In the case of guy like anderson and byard foot they're able to contribute more to the offense because right now i'm not seeing them have an impact offensively and you know a good. I pass out of your zone is good offense right. I mean i'm looking more at at the bottom line. Production being part of The goals the assist by joining the attack. And i think moving ahead. All four of those players are going to become better and more proficient in doing that for the kings and that that to me. It's exciting you know. We've seen walker in his in his feet and his quick feet in his able to dart in and out. And i think as he gets into year three four five is. Nhl career is going to have more of an impact with the offense as i. I'm hoping that anderson and bjorn foot do as well because they're really how many other teams are playing.
