"19 turnovers" Discussed on The Bill Simmons Podcast

"And I don't understand why do they get a free pass to bills? I'm just going to read this to you. 2019 round one, they blow a 16 zero lead to Houston losing the playoffs. 2020, they almost lose to, to washed up Phil rivers. And then they beat Lamar Jackson and Huntley that game where they had Ravens, they had quarterback injuries. Then they get smoked by Casey. 2021, kill the Pats. They had the 13 seconds loss to Casey last year, barely beat Skylar Thompson. They win by three. And they get killed by Cincinnati. And we do this thing with football that we do not do in basketball where we just kind of move forward and we forget things that happened like six, seven months ago, they got manhandled by Cincinnati. What is different about the bills this year? So here's what I think. I don't think we forget. I think everybody's playing off. I think it's recency bias off their last game or the Skylar Thompson game or whatever. I don't think people are looking at some, this is a regular season thing we're talking about, right? Over on their wins. So I think the bills get screwed. There's some bias talking about the bills over under because we're looking at the playoffs and we think, well, Josh Allen isn't up there with Patrick Mahomes and Joe burrow. So, uh, I like them to go on. They're like, no, that doesn't make sense. The Cowboys very good regular season team in the right. And yeah, yeah, they are, they are, make a list of the teams that have won 12 games in each of the last two years. Can I make a list of quarterbacks? I don't believe it. Make a list, make a list. Go ahead. Chiefs, Cowboys, stop, stop with your list. But I'm saying there's bias. Like people love the lions because they beat the Packers in week 18, that terrible Packers team. And they're like, Oh my God, look at these lions. Like, all right. They didn't make the playoffs. So they had the same record as the Steelers down the stretch, and only the lions mattered for some reason. So I think like you say, you know, they won 13, so they're going to regress to 11. That's still over. And that's why I have them over and you could go over their playoffs. But they've hit their win total over five of the last six years. Um, you know, I'd like Ken Dorsey in his second year as OC. That seems to be when it clicks with a quarterback and Josh Allen was bad. You just threw a second year at his OC is one of your reasons. That was like one of your top reasons. Go back, go back to all of them. But anyway, it look, it can't get a lot worse than 19 turnovers for Josh Allen and they still won 13 games. I get it. And they lost to the Vikings that really, really stupid game. One of the dumbest in history. So I'm going over with the bills here. I have them at 11 exactly. I think their schedule is really hard. Yeah. They play Rogers twice, two at twice, assuming he plays Mahomes, Herbert, Burrow, Lawrence, Hertz and Dak. Pretty rough. Um, I just, I did my player rankings thing again that I know you hate. Did I mail it to you this year? I spent even more time on it this year. I added coaches. I went nuts. You have a weird thing where you assign the point value to everybody as it compares to Kelly Trepuka from 1978. That's what I do. Quarterbacks are ranked the highest. So they do well cause Allen is an eight pointer out of 10. Mahomes is a 10. Allen is an eight. Rest of the team. Like if you're talking, you know, either semi elite or elite guys, digs at Oliver, he's like the 19th best defensive lineman. Milano's good. White hide, Poirier, McDermott's an above average coach. I don't think there's as much talent here as people seem to think, especially in the lines. I think they're okay. So the only answer I would accept for the 11 win bill season is it's Josh Allen and he's just going to go 11 and six every year. If you're telling me that, I don't really have an argument, but you're just like, put this guy, he's basically the Mitchell Gobert jazz. He's going to win 50 games. You're not going to go that far in the playoffs, but he's going to get you to 1532 NFL version. That's 10 and seven, 11 and six. I'm going under those. So I think it's a 10 and seven, nine and eight type of thing. This is what, and they start with a healthy Trudavious White and Jordan Poirier. That's big. I think Von Miller's out first few games. That's also big the other way. Their their rush rate is like 36% when he's there and 20% when he's not, but he's old, he's old. But I just think this is one of those teams that has a first place schedule every year and still gets through it. Double digit wins. In this case, they need 11 and also look at, you know, you could go to crazy analytics, but they're only four and two in the division last year, right? So it's not like they were six and oh, so you say, oh, the division's much better. Are they going to be two and four? Is that where they're going to lose their two games? Well, aren't we going to know that Monday night they're at the Jets and that's one of those. If it's 0 and one, then all of a sudden they're like, hmm, what happens with the team? Let's go to the Jets. They're over under is nine and a half. They have gotten the most kind of hype slash irrational love that I think I've seen this year and it's going to be 40 years old and they're the Jets and we're the subject of an entire Curb Your Enthusiasm episode about a guy who killed himself and might've might've done it because of the Jets. They're all over HBO. They're right. They're hard knocks. We had the Sopranos the other day. They ran the theme. Yeah. I guess my number one question is, is it more fun if the Jets are really good or incredibly disappointing? Like you have no dog in this race. What's more fun, actual Jets juggernaut and their fans getting all into it or they just fucking suck right out of the gate. I got them in and get bleeped on that. Interesting. Uh, wait, what words get bleeped? Uh, the F bomb. I just said, yeah, the F is for FanDuel on FanDuel TV. Oh, is that right? Yeah. Okay. It looked right down the barrel. Okay. Uh, I think the, the best result for people who don't have a dog in the race is for the Packers to be good and the Jets to be bad. And I think FanDuel has actually a parlay that, that, uh, coincides with that. I kind of believe that could happen. Yeah. Cause I like the Packers. We'll get to that in the NFC one. But yeah, I think that is funny if, and then the stuff starts coming out from the green Bay side around week three, week four. We're a real team this year. Right. It's not, it's not one guy over here and 44 guys over here. It's 45 guys swimming the same way. We all go to Culver's after the game. Yeah. That said, I do think the jets are going to be, I think they were good. In spite of what happened last year, you know? And so Aaron Rogers, everyone's like, well, what if he's not the MVP Aaron Rogers from two years ago? Like, and I'm like, well, what if he's not the terrible, whatever we saw that disaster of a mess. I don't know what, uh, that, uh, Deshaun Kaiser imitation he was putting on last year, Kaiser Sose. So right in the middle, what if he's in the middle? What if he's Kirk Cousins? Can this team win 10 games? That's where I have them. I do think they're, what if he's Dak Prescott? What if he's right in the middle and he's Dak Prescott and I win 12 games like he did last year and the year before. We're going to know right away because my fear with them and the reason I have two reasons that I'm not a believer. One is that I don't think they can block. And there's been a lot of MacKay Beckton hike. Oh, he was like, he started the last game and Rogers is taking them under his wing and the guy's been one of the most disappointing first round picks in general. And then Dwayne Brown on the other side, I don't know if I trust him either. So I really worry about their O-line and Rogers when he doesn't get protection. There's a slew of stats with that. Then Robert Sala, not Robert Sala, Robert Sala. We've had two years with him. Did he ever jump off the TV? We were like, man, this guy, it's looking good. This guy's running a tight ship, man. Good game management from Robert Sala. I never felt that way once. I always felt like I didn't understand what he was doing. Whatever he did with Zach Wilson was insane last year. And I just, you know, if it's 40 year old QB and a coach I don't trust and an offensive line I don't trust in a really tough division with a hard schedule, I think I'm out. That schedule is rough. That first six, if they go two and four and a media, yeah, go ahead. It's the worst Buffalo at Dallas, New England, KC at Denver, Philly at the giants. Then they got the chargers in week nine on Monday night. That could be like two and six. Yeah. So then that's going to be tough to, to hurdle. Right. So I honestly think like three at three and three out of those first six, but I get what you're saying with Sala. I thought it was interesting. Did you see the hard knocks that started with him listing his four stages of competitor? Like he gets everybody in this room. It's like a Ted talk. Yeah. And Aaron Rogers has to pretend he's interested. He's like commander, competitor, survivor. And there was some other thing in there. I don't know. Yeah. Uh, I'm not sure what Pearl Jam might've been three. I'm not sure what it was, but anyway, so those were the four. I was like this poor bastard has to come up and all because of Vince Lombardi, who said winning, isn't the only anything. See, now I can remember winning. Isn't everything. It's the only thing. Now all these idiot coaches have to come up with something to top that and they're not even close. So, um, yes, I think it's, uh, he's lacking. Nathaniel Hackett seems to be a bit of a joke. You see him. I mean, he was the worst head coach of the last 10 years. And then the thing now is like, well, he's got, get along, gets along great with Rogers. And you know, as an offensive coordinator, he's great. And we've made fun of this guy for four months last year. And then he got fired during the season, which never happened. Private eye. Nate Hackett. Loves Austin Powers. Yeah. So I'm going over, but really need to be three and three after those first six. I would, the, the schedule is so hard. Their defense would have to be like incredible. I'm not ruling it out. And I think this division's really hard. Last year we did really well on this. I went 24 seven and one on the over-unders. I think he went like 2011 one. I felt like I was like locked in. All right. So I don't be right in the jets. No, because I have my, well, we disagree on both because I have over for Miami and I don't feel great about that either. Miami is nine and a half. They're plus two 90 for the division, which I really like. And I actually think they win the division and the rub is, well, two could get hurt. He had three concussions last year. Yeah. I was watching a lot of judo, two roles and how he studied jujitsu and judo, like how to roll judo.

"In a must win situation, the kings beat the warriors one 1899. The victory evens up the series at three games a piece forcing a decisive game 7 at Sacramento on Sunday afternoon. Deer and fox playing with a broken finger tip on his left shooting hand had 26 points and 11 assists. We knew our backs against the wall, especially coming in here, which is one of the toughest places to play in the league. We knew that we had to do the little things. "Philip whoo ESPN. Megan before we turn our talk to the one major conference tournament this week, the big 12 is underway in Kansas City. Any other loose ends you want to tie up from last week. We hit on most of the major conferences, at least the champions, but I'm looking back at what we guessed. We both got Virginia tech, right? I didn't, I got AZ. I picked Villanova in the big east. You picked UConn. We both picked Indiana in the Big Ten. That looked really good for 20 minutes. By the way, I know Ohio State got blown out. Does JC Sheldon's return from injury? Change your ceiling for the buckeyes at all? I think they're a better team with her audit. I've kind of put it on Ohio State data all season even when they were doing really well. That concerns me about that team is just if you can break their press, which I recognize is not an easy thing to do. But teams know it's coming now. And if you can break their press, their defense outside of that press is largely nonexistent. I think it's a fair way to put it. Sure, the rebounding gets me. I think there's still, if they don't have a negative rebound margin on the year, it's awfully close. And if you just run into a team with moderate size, that might be the end of them because again, if you're going to be a two seed and they'll probably be there'll be one of the higher up three, maybe four seeds. They get stuck in South Carolina, they can get stuck against Tennessee, LSU, run into any of those teams, it might not matter if you force 19 turnovers if you get hammered on the glass, especially against a team like South Carolina. So I'll generally agree with you and then Tennessee. Where do you have the lady vol see? I understand they've played the toughest schedule in the country. They finally got a top 25 win and they're ranked this week. They should get rewarded for playing a tough schedule, but we've talked a lot LSU is overrated. They dropped precipitously considering they lost to what teams consider what media members consider a top 25 team. They fell drastically. I don't quite get why Tennessee is on the 5 line. They haven't won. I actually have the months in the last team on the floor line right now. And I think it comes down to the strength of schedule that they played and that the fact that when you get to that group at the bottom of a four line perfectly know it's a resume is that impressive. Like you're talking about a UNC team with ten losses and I don't know, like I think Tennessee is even though they don't maybe have some of the statement wins like the schedule that they've played is more impressive. And those losses they fuck out I think 11 right, but this loss of come to better teams they've played South Carolina twice that played LSU twice. They played Yukon they played Ohio State. It's a long list of teams are at the top Indiana. There's a long list of top teams that they played. And then the other thing that for me kind of set Tennessee ahead a little bit is just that if you're looking at what's happened recently and I think there are better team. Now that a lot of those losses they racked up back in November. And they're clearly a better team. I think now than they were in November. I will say I know rikia Jackson is the leading scorer. I love Jordan horston. It's 6 two. She plays like she's 6 5. She jumps out of the gym. She scores. She rebound. She can pass. She can block. She can steal. She stands out on the floor in a pretty good conference in the SEC, even with, you know, she's playing with another lottery pick next to her in rokia Jackson. She was on the court with some of the best players in the country in South Carolina and she certainly, she stands out, just physically and what she can do. So she's going to be the high draft pick as well in a couple of weeks. So that's our kind of putting the bow on conference tournament week from last week. We've already had a little chaos. We don't have to go too much in death, but we had some bid thieves. So far this week, USF, they're going to go to the tournament, but they lost in the Wichita and the AAC quarterfinals, ECU one, the auto bit, first time since like 2007. So congrats to the pirates. We had another WCC was a bit stealer. Gonzaga, they're going to make it Portland shocks the zags in the WCC final Portland, one that in 2022, right? I think so. That's right. Second time in four years, so congrats to the pilots, but if you're some of these bubble teams, I know you've had a week off, your firmly watching, you know, you watch the American. You watch the WCC, you're gonna watch middle Tennessee to make sure they win conference USA. And they're probably gonna watch the Ivy League because Princeton and Columbia, we can kind of break down both resumes if you want Columbia's 45th actually, that's not updated. Columbia is they're both in the 40s in the net. Princeton is at 40 Columbia is 44. One of them is probably going to get the auto bid. Does the other make it though? I think I like Columbia's resume better than Princeton and I think I've been saying that for a while, but just like they're non conference is better. So I think

"Dave Preston what do you have? Well, the wizard's fault to Atlanta one 22 to one 20, undercut by 19 turnovers, coach west on cell junior, someone were just kind of over dribbling crowds. Someone careless. Most of the times, we got rushed a little bit, sped up a little bit. There's a variety of turnovers. And I thought that was the biggest hurdle for us tonight. "Well, the biggest game of the season. That's not hyperbole. Game four, the finals is tonight. Celtics have a chance to go up three one and put a stranglehold on this series, warriors, of course, need to win to tie this thing and make it a best of three Steph Curry's health is a question mark. As I record this, we will touch on all of that with our guest today. The Hall of Famer Grant Hill, we will discuss the finals, of course, but mostly we will chat with grant about his new autobiography, it's called game. It is out now available at all the usual places. I highly recommend it. You'll learn a lot about grant's life and his career, including a lot of new details about the ordeals he went through with his ankle, all the surgeries that permanently altered his career. He shares a lot of new details and just really decides to be very candid about the toughest moments of his career in a way that I don't think he ever has before. So check out the book, game, it's fantastic. We discussed that at length as well. Before we get to all that, a quick reminder, please rate review and subscribe to the crossover wherever you get your podcasts and hit me with all your feedback on Twitter at Howard Beck. Okay, my conversation with Grant Hill is coming up next, so stick around. This is the crossover and NBA show hosted by Sports Illustrated's Chris mannix and Howard back. It's a whole new level for you and me, Chris. This relationship. Like and subscribe for the best weekly NBA content these two are capable of. What does that mean? It could be the best duo ever. I don't see how you can beat that. Here they are. Chris mannix and Howard back. Now very pleased to welcome back to the pod. Two time guest now, Hall of Famer and now author of the book game. Grant Hill, grant, how are you, sir? I'm doing well. I'm doing well. Two time guests. All right, that means I'm a good standing with you. That's a good thing. You only need like three more punches on the punch card for a free cup of coffee. That's how this works. Appreciate you coming back on. We're going to jump in on the book, which was great, but before we get to that, we are talking the morning of game four. I'm in Boston. You are not, although you were around for games one and two in San Francisco and I know you're back for 5 and we'll see if there's a 6 and 7 and you're back for those two if those happen. What is your read of the series as we sit here now? The warriors shoot around will be in another couple hours. I'll be going over there who knows what Steph's status is at this point. He says he'll play. They're obviously down. They are, they looked totally outclassed out muscled the other night. What's your read of the series right now with the Celtics up two one? Well, you know, first of all, Golden State has to be kicking themselves, that they lost that first game. And you know, they, you know, the first two games, you know, pretty much 7 of those 8 quarters. You know, Golden State for the most part one. I mean, you know, they had, you know, sensational third quarters in both those games. But now it's, you know, now it's do or die, you know? You can not go back game 5 down three one if you're Golden State. You know, I think Boston has shown that, you know, that they're for real, obviously we knew that going in, they're tough. They're capable. They're long, physical, they're great defensively. This Golden State team, and this is, I mean, this, you know, and I say this respectfully, but it's probably the least talented finals team they've had. But I think everyone has been expecting them to win because of that institutional knowledge they have. I thought, you know, game two obviously defensively. They force turnovers. That was really the big difference. I think 19 turnovers led to 33 points. Boston valued the basketball better in game three. The complementary players played well, particularly Marcus smart, which he didn't do in game game two in the offensive end. You know, Golden State has got to get back to being disruptive defensively. And they can't afford to dig a hole like they did in game three. So a couple of things. I actually think Golden State is going to come out and play better. You know, we forget this is a team that was blown out by 50. And Memphis, you know, a few series ago. And so most teams, you lose about 50, it takes a few games to mentally and emotionally recover from that embarrassment. So I expect that they'll come out, they'll be better. You know, in addition to a Boston, Boston has been up and down in the postseason at home. And so I'm not entirely sure why that's the case. The Milwaukee series, the Miami series, they gave up some critical games at home, of course they went out and won some games on the road, but I think it's up in the air. I know I'm supposed to sort of predict sometimes who's going to win, but I could really see it go either way. And I think Golden State has a great performance. Clay and staff both played well in game three. Draymond didn't shoot and score well. He acknowledged that, but I think he's got a he's got to have an impact. He's got to have an impact on the game like he did in game two. Defensively, causing turnovers. Being a disruptor and agitator, and he's got to get some points, you know, some fake dribble handoffs, things and transition. He's got to fill up the stat sheet a little bit better than he did in game three. So you mentioned draymond and your colleague at Turner Isiah Thomas said after the game the other night, he thinks that the focus for draymond isn't there because of the podcasts that he's doing after games and because of him getting into this whole back and forth with the crowd to an extent. And I don't know, it's more of the crowd toward dream on than it was dream under the crowd, but a lot of just this other stuff that's going on. Isaiah felt like that was draining draymond's focus. And I've always looked at dream on the other way, grant, which is that, you know, he's fueled by a lot of that stuff. And it's all part of kind of his makeup, his mental game, his attitude, that ferocity he brings to the court that edgy brings to the court. So it was interesting to hear Isaiah say that. And so I'm just curious your perspective on that because Isaiah speaking from experience clearly as someone who played the game at a high level a long time as you did, is it possible that these other things are somehow distracting draymond on some level. Well, first of all, I'll say this. Isaiah and draymond have both won multiple championships. I didn't. So I want to at least give that perspective. But yeah, I mean, I agree with you. I think if you look at things through the lens of Isaiah and sort of his time and who he is as a player in what he needed to do to maybe get himself focused, then yes, I can understand where he's coming from. I can understand the tomb for my standpoint. I mean, I don't know if I would be at my best if I, you know, decompressed the way that draymond is decompressing. But this is who he is. And this is kind of the generation of players. You know, they've come up with social media, technology. They're just very different. And I don't say that good or bad. I'm just acknowledging the reality. So I don't think at all. I think this is actually healthy. And I think for draymond to be able to talk to vent to offer perspective, I mean, a lot of times you're doing that with the media. During the media obligations. And so yeah, I mean, I think this is we all sort of, you know, process, prepare, you know, decompress, whatever you want to call it, we all do that differently. And I think this is right on brand, but also just par for the course. Excuse my golf analogy for draymond in terms of who he is and how he.

"And they were successful. The second half of the season, the Celtics, like, I think since January 1st, like their assist rate was way up, they were great at the hockey assist as well. They're really moving the ball around in the second half of the year. Game two was kind of a reversion a little bit. Both in terms of not moving the ball and turning the ball over, man. Like you can, you can draw a straight line Howard between Celtics losses and the number of turnovers, like when they turn the ball over, they lose. It's as simple as that. They keep the turnovers under like 11 and 12, they tend to win. Over 12, they lose. They had 19 turnovers in game two, which led to 33 points for Miami. And we can discuss the nuances and the subtleties of the game all we want. But if you commit 19 turnovers, 11 of them being live ball turnovers. You're gonna lose. More often than not, it's as simple as that. So if I'm Boston, I'm thinking to myself, gotta win the third quarter, or at least not get destroyed in it, and we gotta keep our turnovers somewhere around ten for the game. If we do that, at home, pretty good chance we're gonna win. Because our roster is pretty good. Yeah, you know, these are both teams with turnover issues and turnover histories, right? And the warriors and Steve, Steve Kerr has been fretting about this since the moment he became coach back in 2014. And the warriors have those moments too. And again, was part of their breakdown in game one in the fourth quarter. And both teams are capable of absolutely pouncing and drilling you for it. So it is something to watch. It is especially something to watch when there's this two sides of the coin here, right? You want the ball movement to activate your offense and to keep the defense off balance. But the more passes you throw and the more your maybe sometimes hyper conscious about it, that's when you start to get maybe a little careless or you force some things. And you know, again, there's a psychological element to this too. There's the pressure of the finals. There's the intensity of it all. It affects guys. A camera, if we talked about this, but just the atmosphere is different at the finals. When you walk in the building, you feel it. When you don't have to be a participant in it and you don't have to have any stakes in it to feel it. It's a different sense in the air. And sometimes that causes you to do things you wouldn't otherwise do and lose that focus, force the issue a little bit. But I think turnovers are going to be one of those I haven't looked at the first two games, but that's one of those indicator stats where you can probably predict who's going to win based on the turnover count. For the Celtics, it's always an indicator stat has been all season long has been throughout these playoffs when they throw the ball around. They lose. When they keep it tight, they tend to win. It's pretty much as simple as that. There are other variables, second chance points hurt them in game one. Of course, the third quarters have been a disaster, but Celtics got to keep those turnovers low..

"The Chicago Bulls one 15 to one ten pretty exciting game was close all the way down the stretch Lakers had opportunities to win this surprising considering how often they turned the ball over and how many offensive rebounds they gave up, but that was just how efficient their offense was in other areas. They were hot shooting the ball. And so that allowed this thing to be a lot closer than you would have expected than a typical game where you've got, well, what is it 19 turnovers for the Lakers and 16 offensive rebounds for the Chicago Bulls? Typically, that's the recipe for a blowout but know the Lakers were right there. In fact, I thought they might sneak away with a win here at the end, but just came up short on the last few possessions and that had an opportunity to tie the game. Unfortunately, two good looks from three both of them missed. But we're gonna dive into it. So if you're coming in from YouTube from Facebook from Twitter, so you're joining live, you can fire off your takes, your questions, your comments in the comments section. We'll get into some of those. Also, if you listen to the podcast version of this, make sure you do subscribe over on Apple podcasts, Spotify wherever it is. If you listen to podcasts. So I'm seeing some of the comments in here. I've got some people that are really upset over this one that are very frustrated. In fact, here's one Jared chopper from YouTube. I can't even watch this team anymore. They're not making it out of the first round. If that I couldn't disagree more in terms of watchability of this game, I thought this was a very exciting game. This was a game where I didn't come away from this, thinking the Lakers completely blew it. Yes, the turnovers were bad. The free throw shooting was bad. There were areas where they made mistakes, but the Lakers showed up. The Lakers showed up for this one. And maybe that's a very low bar to clear. But Lance game against the wolves, the Lakers didn't show up. The energy wasn't there. The effort wasn't there..

"Which lineup? Are we talking about late in like in garbage time? Are we talking about that lineup? The Lakers didn't go on many runs tonight. They went on to run early in the first quarter. They got up by, I think, 11, and then the wolves countered. So if it was a garbage time lineup that started to chip away or something, I don't put a whole lot of stock into that because the wolves are going to kind of stop playing by that point. All right, let's see. Somebody said we're turning the ball over so much. It's killing us. Turnovers have been a problem. Offensive rebounds and turnovers have been the Lakers two biggest problems this season. Well, two of the biggest, but in terms of just kind of the hustle, stats that we talk about, it's the bit in the offensive rebounds in the turnovers. Those have been the biggest things. The focus, the hustle, the technique, stance. Those have been issues. And they were issues tonight. The offensive rebounds maybe shouldn't be a surprise considering the Lakers went so small for guards in the starting lineup of Anthony Davis. The turnovers or something that ultimately has to get fixed, but I thought the Lakers were kind of pressing towards the end. Just trying to get something going. And so that caused some turnovers, but 19 turnovers on the night. That's way too many. If you get down around the 14 range 13 range, okay, that's a little bit more acceptable, but you did have 5 from Russell Westbrook. He had the first two turnovers of the half of the third quarter that helped get the wolves out and running. So absolutely turnovers are something that have to get better. And then on top of that, the offensive rebounding 14 offensive boards for the wolves, 11 for the Lakers, but keep in mind the wolves shot 46% from the field and 32% from three, they didn't miss as many shots as the Lakers did. So there were a lot more opportunities to get offensive rebounds for the Lakers than there were for the wolves. So the discrepancy in offensive boards is actually bigger than it looks based on the box score. In terms of percentage of offensive rebounds grabbed, so the wolves did a number on the Lakers there, again, and that's been a problem in a lot of games this season. Something's going.

"Along. I I don't have a static today, but I was looking into something because you know, with another football season here. Here we go. I got to get going to going to pull out play the greatest hits. And one thing that I you know my philosophy when it comes to football, turnovers are overrated. Right turnovers. You're going to hear it tonight. Well, I gotta protect the football you. Whoever turns the ball over is gonna lose his game. So I was looking into the bills turnover stats of the last few years, Right? So I went back to 2015. So this is Allen's three years and Tyrod three years Because Tyrod was the quarterback with Rex twice And once with McDermott, right? Yeah. Okay, So when you look at the turnover numbers, how many times the bills turn the ball over? Uh, the lowest number of turnovers they had in the season was 11 in 16 2001 of those Tyrod seasons. Then the second lowest was 16. That's the playoff year. They make it with Tyrod. McDermott's first season only 16 turnovers. The next highest total is a two way tie. 19 turnovers in 2015 and in 2019. The Bills made the playoffs in 2019 with the tax ins right. They lost the Texans game. Anyway. It's a long way to get to last year. Had 22 turnovers The bills did. They had 32 in Allen's rookie year with Derek Andersen and you know Allen's work for about like that years, a rookie quarterback 30 30 came from Peterman that year. I believe You had Peterman, right? He had 30 out of 32, right. You can't of course, turn it over every possession and expect to win. But just 22 turnovers last year. That's more than one a game. So as the bills play the Steelers on Sunday, Alan throws a pick. Someone will say You can't expect to win turning the ball over and I'll say sure you can. The Bills won an awful lot of games with the second most turnovers. They had second only to Allen's rookie year more turnovers than the Tyrod years more turnovers than the wrecks years. Because that sounds Yeah, we'll see. Would anybody worry if I don't know if actually, I think Brady only lost to the bills. Have you ever had a four turnover game? But if you got an offence overcome all this stuff? Who cares? I mean, if you turn the ball over three or four times, but you have 12 possessions and you score on the other eight. You're not going to freak out about the four turnovers Well, right, because I tend to think that what turnovers are is instead of the thing that makes you bad. It's the indicator that you are bad. You know, it's it's It's Yeah, it's not the cause. It's the result. If you're a bad team, you turn it over. You don't become a bad team by turning it over. So You know, Turnover differential last year, the Titans of the best in the league, But if you want just for total giveaways just last year, um, the good quarterbacks don't turn it over Aaron Rodgers and the Packers 11. The Titans 12 the Colts 15, the Browns 16. The Chiefs 16, and the Bills are actually down the board quite a bit here. The number of teams that turned it over. Less than the bills. They were past average in terms of turning over too much Did you really feel like it was an issue last year? Never Couldn't tell you I ever I haven't felt there was an issue since two years ago against New England here. I mean, just because again, it's not. It's not. This offense is so good. That it can overcome a bad day in terms of give away, So I guess I could never say never right. Like if they maybe they could turn it over four or five times and lose the game of the defense is also having a bad day. But they're just There are so potent the percentage I wish I remembered the numbers from last season. The percentage of drives that ended with this team getting points last year, not just touchdowns, but touchdowns or field goals was great. And they were just so potent and so explosive that you could overcome a few drives that didn't end that. Well, I'm glad you wanted to know what the offensive drive stats where, Because I actually was up pulling trying to pull those up football. Outsiders does. Little bit of that, Um, remember tracking them? Almost. There were like three or four times last year where I tracked touchdown percentage points Percentage. I want to say I can't win with 50%. They were scoring points on half the drives. It was they were fantastic at that. So who who ever cared about? Yes, but you know, Josh fumbled once and threw two picks. The last three years are also the highest in league history, four points per drive for the entire league. Scoring is up. In fact, if you want to, like the opposite of hot what the hockey trend for a while there the last seven? I'm sorry, the tops seven scoring seasons and points per drive. 2020 2018 1916 15 14 13 in 2000 and 12 17 11 10 9. Every single year. You're you're at the top end of points scored and Last year. One of the things we saw, you know, you could say that one thing that's new this year. How do these teams respond to crowd noise? How do these teams respond to having fans in the stands? Okay. Another question is do NFL teams punted? Less than ever again because last year was the fewest points. Yeah. I was in league history, the number of punts League wide has dropped. The bills didn't punt it at all last year since one of the ways you overcome turnovers is you just you don't punch because plants are turnovers..

"Terry will be joining us here in just a few minutes. We also Have former rebel And living legend. I think it's fair to call Anderson Hunt. Here's something interesting. I'm learning about this getting reports of this UNLV press conference that's taking place right now where they've introduced. Kevin Kruger is the head coach. Is Ray read Francoise. Not taking any questions. How is that possible? How was your athletic director? At UNLV in a press conference, not taking any precedent questions that is just utterly ridiculous. Like I said, I think she's gonna be gone in a year. But anyway, we'll get back to that. Just a little bit. Hey, the N C. A. A tournament is Well underway, right? We got the last day of second round action JD. And right now Oregon is putting a whip whipping on the Iowa If you ask me what s so I had a really good weekend. I won more games I lost. That's always a good weekend. But the game that I was really surprised at and I guess I was wrong on it. Because Syracuse just knocked off West Virginia. They're in the sweet 16 and Jim Boeheim. Son is unbelievable. But I thought that San Diego State was going to beat Syracuse in the first round. And the reason why I thought that I just thought, Listen, they have better athletes. But San Diego State. It just seems like West Virginia was the same situation. Just no idea had had a beat that zone that zone defense, which is X. I gotta give them credit. Boy. They make it tough for teams to score they made and Bobby Huggins is a is a legendary coach, and they looked like a deer in headlights out there just the way San Diego State did. Again. Jim Boeheim does it again that zone defense and you know, Syracuse did not have a great year. This year. They started off slow. It was a very up and down year for them, so that that was some of that. There was some other big surprises. Orel Roberts, obviously a huge surprise and Biggs up. There were a few upsets in the first round. But what were some of your biggest surprises in the first round and second round? You honestly that this tournament's really just it's just an odd year, first of all because of covert, but I usually the Duke's the Michigan State's No. The blue Bloods. They always have to be involved in either the sweet 16 or the elite eight or the Final four or the national championship game because Of the TV ratings that come with it in the amount of money that these these advertisers pay two to advertise on Tru TV and TBS and TNT and CBS, which is where all these games are are now shown. But that isn't the case anymore. I think that it's kind of really an interesting dynamic that I think is coming correlated to what I'm about to say. But because sports betting is now legal in 20, plus states nationwide, you don't have to have that marquee name to get that same viewership because bottom line If you're betting a game, you're watching that game. I mean 95% of people who bet games watch games. And half the country now has legalized sports betting. So I think that's why you're seeing Oregon smash Iowa and oil. Roberts beat both Ohio State and Florida and Syracuse take down West Virginia and loyal of Chicago beat Illinois who destroyed everybody They played for the last week. I think that's why you're seeing all these things take place, it's it's because you don't and you can say that it's a It's a conspiracy theory by me, but I really believe that the last 10 years In March Madness, you know, in in the call in the Net in the N C, a a tournament those those teams they got those preferential calls like the Abilene Christian Texas game. That game would have ended on these Texas would have been called for that foul at the end of that game. Abilene Christian. Okay, So can I call you? Can I comment on that game real quickly? Of course, s O. That Christian team Abilene Christian correctly. If there was a fix, I can tell you this. It would have been a lot easier for officials not to make it a one point game and if hold on, let me just hear me out. If if it really was a fix, it would not have taken a chance of a guy having to make two free throws to win the basketball game special, especially Guy with it with a 57% free throw percentage. Which Joe Pleasant had. Okay, so so let me let me right. So let me just talk about that last play, okay? He was fouled force. However, however, That being said, I will admit I've been official for a long time. Would not have made that call. Here's why. You're you're talking about a call with what? One second Two seconds on 1.2 seconds left on the clock. It has to be after Akai Jones block. It has to be an absolute annihilation of the fall for you to call it in. That situation was a hack. Okay. He was he was shoved. Call Coleman hacked, is it he tried to. He tried to smack the ball away and he hit his arms. What happened? It wasn't a shove it all but it was a followed. Agree wasn't so I'm not going to say it was a horrible call it the problem is that entire game, Abilene Christian was mauling Texas and they were getting away with the same things. That text was getting called for you. I disagree with you and your scenes make consistency. And in the words of blowing, I think Texas was completely outmatched. Physic physicality. Listen, this is the N C a a tournament, right? Sure The games are gonna be physical. You have to man up. It's why Mick Cronin has had success. It's why I knocked off Michigan State. It's why knocked off BYU because his team is physical. That's why I pick Villanova to go very far in this tournament because I think they're very physical and they have good guard play that there's two things you three things I look for in the end state tournament. OK, JD. Number one coach is so important Good coaches win basketball games in the answer. Determent number two Physicality. You have to be able to be physical. You have to have at least one or two guys. They're physical and number three, and I would argue this is the most important thing is you have to have guards that are able to deal with pressure because in the end state tournament, you have so much ball pressure. You have to have guards that can deal with pressure. And I think Villanova's made for this tournament. Well, we we've seen we've seen how let me Texas they averaged 14 turnovers the game. Oklahoma State averages 15 turnovers game that the team for Florida State. The reason why I chose Colorado today because Florida State averages 19 turnovers a game on the road they cost they turn the ball over these teams that have, they may be bigger, but but if they turn the ball over the chance of them winning and poured or just mean covering much, much less winning the game are extremely small. But I do believe Brian that because of legalized sports betting nationwide, there is not an incentive right now to get that, like like, for example, Luca Garza. People haven't heared about Luca Garza all year long. He's a Naysmith player of the year If he plays in games like say, for example, Kansas beats USC and I will beat Oregon, which isn't gonna happen. People would watch that game. Five years ago, when sports betting was only legalized in the state of Nevada. That would be the matchup. That is no longer the case because no matter what people are going to watch the games because they're betting on the games, and so we're so the moving forward on this, we're going to see it happen with within see a football. We're just like we're going to see Alabama is not going to be the juggernaut that they've always been. We're going to see a situation where a team a team take into. Ah, loyal Chicago is going to make a major, a major run. In a bowl game or for having undefeated season. We're going to see all these different things, because now there The TV networks. And the advertisers. They don't have to depend on.

"They have to take care of the ball savior had 19 turnovers in the first game versus ST John's. You have to be strong with the ball, be aware Of Them chasing you down from behind. After you get by them. They're really good at gonna flicking the ball. Once you beat him. It's not over because they keep pursuing you, Joe, and if you don't have good awareness or not strong with the ball They'll come behind and pick and and just kind of pop it out from behind you. They get a lot of those turnovers that way. So Zabrze cannot let Then get out in transition by by turning the ball over. Secondly, you gotta be able to score in the open court. There's gonna be a lot of two on ones three on Tuesday after you break the press. Xavier's got to be willing to make those plays and a lot of times show they're going to kind of Gonna dare you to go to the basket. They played kind of non traditional in that they don't always keep their body between the ball in the rim. So you haven't Elaine to go to the basket. You just have to be one to go ahead and make the play. And lastly, they've got to make outside shots. Avery was over 12 in their last game against Saint John's yet somehow Found a way to win. You've got to spread them out space them by knocking down jumpers. Xavier will get open looks in transition after they beat the press. They just have to Have the ability to make those shots it league play. ST. John allows the most points of any team in the Big East. That's impolite plan just under 77 points of all game. It's interesting, too, that Xavier, we could look for assist Savior, a second in the league behind Villanova, filling over average of 17 assist a ballgame. The ST John's in the Musketeers. There was 16 just underneath Villanova. So some similarities to these ball clubs. The fact that Xavier Second League in steals ST John's first in the league in steals. I like your your keys to the game. I think. Turnovers, points generated offer turnovers. Uh, maybe the whole story tonight? Yeah, Joe, and I think Xavier's gonna be better served better prepared to play against that kind of pressure because They've just dealt with it before. And the reason you know, going back to what? You were just talking about The reason why I think ST John's gives up the most points is because they just kind of dare you They never. They.

"New York to battle ST John's Savior, had its three game winning streak snapped with the 80 to 72 Setback versus Yukon On Sunday. It marked on Lee. Their second game played in the last 30 days coming up there. Second extended break of the season, The Musketeers looked a little gas did times understandably, with only two full practice in the practices in the last 14 daybreak. But that's big college basketball in this cove. It's season. Joe. They also had some issues with their defense. They gave up 80 points, yielding 11 May 3 pointers. Versus the husky, So hopefully the must. Tears can get back into a rhythm gain some momentum as they try to finish out the rest of the season because there are only six regular season games left. Not including the games that were postponed. Remember these two teams played once this year? Already back on January 6 that was here at Santa's Centers? Savior won that game 69 to 61. But since that times time, ST Johnson's place a very good basketball they have. ST John's is 16 out their last seven. Very they have not played for week. Xavier's one the last 1 12 meetings between these two teams, So you better believe that they're waiting for the Musketeers in New York and ready tow exact some some revenge on the Musketeers. Joe going back to that game. On the the sixth Xavier 1 69 to 61 in their first match up Joe in that game, Xavier did not make a three pointer. They were over 12. And they committed 19 turnovers yet still found a way to win. So hopefully Xavier will be a little bit better overweight, You know, over overall and just play better basketball against ST John's, because they're definitely playing with a lot of confidence in Beijing. Shaver didn't make a three pointer that ballgame Baron of the six Best three point shooters in the league percentage Wise four will be on the court tonight. Dave Johnson for The Musketeers is at 47% Biggie's played Greg Williams for ST John's 46% Paul Scruggs Musketeer 46 Julien, champion of the Bleeding score. In the Big East. He's at 46%. So there's some guys on the floor tonight that can really let it up from deep Joe. It was. It was a strange game in their first match up because Avery didn't get anything from Paul Scruggs, or exact Freeman of their two leading scorers instead. They were led by Cobi Jones. Also, Jason Carter had a big game as well as Dewan Oldham, guano Adam and Jason Carter. Joe. That was the last time those guys scored in double figures so Hopefully, you know, they could have some repeat performances as well as Paul Scrubs, and Zach Freeman will get backed up the plane to the standard that we're used to seeing that one about the musketeers coming off that Covert break down here. That may be a practice and a half before that took on Yukon and my pain, they say seen below gasses. You said, How did they get it back with his two practices before they're tested by ST John's? Yeah, Joe, it's It's tough. Um, one of the ways he get back is by playing games and they did get that that game underneath their belt against you kind. They lost 80 to 72. Um, Paul Scruggs. I thought play too many minutes in that game, 36 minutes. I think what he would coach needs to do is toe. He's gotta trust his bench a little bit more here and Maybe play play a little bit more guys play little go deeper into his bench than he normally would. With with the season winding down, usually at this point of the season, you know the rotations air set, but this has been such a fluid year, Joe relative to guys being injured. You know, guys coming off Cove it as they were still will not be 100%. In this game tonight. Brian Brian Griffin is going to be out with his second game, so Xavier is very different than they were when they played against ST John's. Back on the six. They also have been Stanley, who has subsequently tourney up his knee and is out for the season. So you know that those are two pieces that Xavier's gonna miss big time and Griffin and standing When you're playing against a new Open court team, like ST John said, just kind of makes you make place. The Xavier Musketeers are 11 and 34 and three in the Big East, the ST John University Red Storm 13 8877 and Big East play. This is Ukraine. "Hill tried to block Seattle Police patrol cars from leaving the East Precinct. Last night goes, John Marino says it all started rather playfully, John Mitch, he says, the mood seemed playful. People started stacking snow in front of a door where police cars would exit. The officers got out on the snowball started flying first couple of cops. They're cool about it. And then I think was about a dozen cops came out and the mood changed drastically. Police form their own wall to keep the group back, and one officer warned the group. They could be taken into custody. Guys build a structure again will arrest every single one. It just seemed completely overreaction. The situation quickly escalated, and some people defending their efforts to block the exit. When cops can't get out the camp murder people. "A s back at it here did on Franklin Auto Countdown to tip off show as we get you set for the Cats and The Alabama Crimson Tide. Mike Prats here now, with his keys to the game, and Mike, one of the cats have to do to turn around what happened A couple of weeks ago we'll bake. I have a copy of that. Scoresheet fight up statute. And there's It's pretty simple. Okay, you're gonna have to challenge the trace. Alabama scored 30 more points Or beyond. The Ark 30. Okay, that is that is unbelievable. You're gonna have to limit your turnovers. Because Alabama outscored you off of your 19 turnovers by 18 points. And so you can see how Kentucky lost that game. Forget about it. A shooting that night. That wasn't real good. I mean, you shot 45%. He shot 43%. I'm sorry. Uh, the three point shooting was 12 and 98. But still you gave him you give him all the free shots that amount. To the most points and you turn the ball over. So there's only two things. That I think they have to do that to close out. Better high handed all times Don't Let them sell the fake on you and then do your best to stand between the May with the ball in the basket because you're not going to be able to give a lot of help side because Alabama kick it to a shooter, So there you go. And those are my Kratz keys to the game. We're coming back to wrap things up in just a minute on that.

"And I think you nailed it. Are they tough? I think Kobe White. Are you tough marketing? Are you tough? When you look at marketing? I know a lot of Bulls fans love the box score, but they don't love actually watching what I'm doing on the court. That and you and I in condom will get recited that market in last night when seven for 12 18 points, six rebounds. Hey, cut the guy a break. He had a good good night 18 points. Meanwhile, he's a turnstile and on the other end of the floor, he's given up buckets left and right. And here's what I think is gonna be interesting over the next 4 to 6 weeks, right? With Wendall Carter out. Is he more valuable to this team? Then while re marketing And then what? How do you respond with that going forward Because, like that's the thing we watched this Lakers game on Saturday night, and we say, OK, you didn't show up, Connor, You said. You don't like doing that. I'm going to do that. They didn't show up against the Lakers and and in a normal year. The Lakers on a Saturday night at the UC would have been a marquee event for all of us tow have her eyeballs on and and you know, there's no crowd there, so maybe some people are paying attention. They flat out did not show up against the Lakers. So what did I ask? Show up against the Celtics? You may not be as good as the Celtics, but show up in compete. Guys. It didn't compete last night. They didn't compete. They didn't take care of the basketball 19 turnovers six from Zach Levine, the star of the team remind you he's supposed to take the next step Sylvie, except he's not winning more. And this is my entire thing with Zach Levine. You get it. He can't do it all himself. But is he adding to this team moving forward in the right direction when they don't play defense? They're sloppy with the basketball and they don't compete against teams at the top level in the in the MBA. Well, at last two nights, here's my problem with that, though. Is that Zack has shown up And when your point guard doesn't show up, or your point guard isn't developing, and he's getting worse. And like you just said against later. Alright, Kobe, you were outclassed against the Lakers. That's fine. You're a young player. You're growing now. What you got against the Celtics here? A couple of days later, six shots? Yes. Qualify. You scored five points. You're not distributing the ball. You had one assist last night. Kobe White played 24 minutes and scored three points and had one assist. Like always, Zach Levine supposed to get any better when they don't have a true point guard on this, someone's gotta score. Eventually, you know, Levin had six turnovers, only three assists. So like I get it that there's gonna be a lot of push. I always get pushed back on the Libyan thing. I'm just saying, like, Yeah, he had the 30 points. The Bulls weren't in this game at all last night, and that's what's disappointing to me. If he is that player set a tone from the jump. You're at home and I get it. You're not as good as the Celtics. Don't let them push you around. They cut it to nine on a Levin three and it immediately the Celtics went on like a sick so run because they just I mean, truly was, I think was to break points or two. You know these buckets And then it was over. It was it was like, okay. They got a shot here. And then Pam I doing and they were done. It was after a market in three right? It was a step into three from marketing from Levin. I think it was one of his assistant. You're right Marketing buried it, then. Boom. Here. Come because didn't the Celtics called time out after that market in three, And then they came out and then boom here come the Celtics, and they put on that run. You know, Here's the thing And you guys watch You guys have watched more bulls basketball and I have, you know, I Was that bullshit? We were told Code White played fast. He was on the brake and dangerous. All last night. And maybe this is credit to Brad Stevens, who does a good job defensively still to the Celtics to do the good job, scheming things up, But he seemed indecisive every time he bought his way to the ball over the goal with that, Connor and I think this to me this is how I'm watching this season. Like I'm not tied to any of these dudes, and I don't think that the front offices and the front office that's in place right now in the coaching staff didn't pick Kobe and maybe these guys aren't the guys You know, maybe this showing up and not be able to compete against good teams. Well, it's frustrating in the moment. Maybe it's a good thing, because ultimately if they decide that these guys aren't the guys and they in Morva rebuild than they thought that they were getting invested in Maybe it's a good thing that they're finding out now that these guys are just just ain't it And maybe it's time to move on from some of them. And I know Bulls fans might be tied to this quote core, but the front office isn't Well, they don't want tied to the core. I knowing, And that's the number one priority from this season that I say who's good? Who's not? And let's find that out under a new coach. Now, here's one compliment. Give you one competent toe because people are bringing up boy Kobe White Mitch Travis Key. I don't agree with that. Let me let me give you one. Let me give you one. House Warburg. I loved. I loved cow Schwarber. When Joe decided coming off the injury after the Big World serious to put Schwarber in the leadoff spot, he got off to a slow start. Now he's leading off and now is not used to doing what he's doing. See ball hit ball. He's trying to work the counts. More and more, he became a head case. And I don't know if he wasn't if he wasn't in that leadoff spot if it would have happened, But I feel like Kobe White, who may not be a point guard like Schwarber wasn't a leadoff hitter is thinking so much about trying to be the point guard. And now he's becoming worse and all the skills that he's good at it. It's a great cop. I think I think it's got legs, too, because I think there's still skill set in Kobe White that's going to keep him in the league for a long time. And I think the same with Kyle Schwarber if he hits right handers for power for the rest of his, and that's all he does. He'll be in this league for a long time. You got to get more out of those guys where you drafted them so far, you know, Cubs haven't we'll see if the nationals can So far, the Bulls would like to see more too, right? Yeah, All right, So there's symbols conversation for if you want to weigh in 3323776, and we'll get to would you rather next? "Will join us at the bottom of the hour to talk all things in B a warriors. Carry Irving's return G. I wonder why is he coming back? Does it have anything to do with the Brooklyn Nets success over the last couple of games? Now it's got nothing to do with that. We'll talk to Mitch Laurence about the MBA, the great Dave Stewart. Joining us at three o'clock. The just is great in a different discipline. Scott Ostler, columnist for Your San Francisco Chronicle, joining us had four in two day Well, every day's a good day to talk to Steve Kerr today and especially Good day to talk to Steve Kerr, because Larry The Golden State Warriors last night did something to a LeBron James team that LeBron James has never had done to him and that is blowing and almost 20 point lead in the game. Which is ah, where the Lakers were up. I think it was 18 19 points. I forget exactly at various points in the game, but blow to double digit lead in the fourth quarter and the Warriors specifically Steph Curry. Doing it in absolute style is going to be a lot of shots. They're gonna be shown when it comes to putting out a retrospective for steps career and we have seen some great ones. But last night is in that book. Because what he did to Anthony Davis was nothing short of foul and spectacular all at the same time, a step back behind the back three over a guy. With a 9 ft wingspan, Steph Curry you a bad, bad man. I'll tell you Who else like your last night ride was Kelly you, Bray? I mean, that's the bet. Seenu, bre look this year. 23, But that doesn't really tell the story. I mean, get four boards yet. A couple steals. He had a couple blocks. He was active. He went to the basket. How about the play that he seemed to have mastered now where he throws the ball out of bounds off? You hear me? He did that to Marcus Ali did it to shrewder on Ben? The job that he didn't LeBron He hounded LeBron and, um, you know, LeBron six of 16 shooting. On the night for for the king. So, Kelly, you bray. Come on down. Have yourself a game was great. It was great to see He's the kind of he's the kind of athlete that can really bother LeBron because You think of you, Bray and you forget he's not 64. He's 67. So you've got great length great quickness on a 67 frame, and you saw it last night, man he's got he's he can get LeBron's right up on LeBron and challenge him and it's awesome to watch. So you're calling there right now. Kelly, you break, Junior is the LeBron stoppers that which is a problem. Stop! No, no, no, Don't don't say you know. Please don't ever say nobody's nobody's LeBron stopper, but the Warriors, you know, Had you spilled for bodies, Adam. Right. It was Katie was All I was was link that all kinds of guys and now in a river in a variety, you guys now it's like, Hey, you know what if you break and play LeBron that well Uh, you know, I love the way he had them up and down the floor. No, just outstanding night for the Warriors. I mean, shooting 50% from the field overall clampdown defense and the fourth quarter warriors harassing the Lakers in the 19 turnovers, 23 points. Off of those turnovers. Um, yeah. All right, fine. You know, letting getting yourself kicked around here for the first three quarters, especially the first half. Is that the ideal way to do it? By the way that they claim down in the fourth quarter was quite impressive. While in the meantime, getting things done on the offensive in S O credit to the Warriors were doing what they did last night. Quite the wind doing it. It's spectacular fashion, and indeed it was all hands on deck. Steph is obviously the head of the snake and what he was able to do last night. But, Larry, you're right you Bray was active. He had He has a full box score loony just to throw out another name. Draymond Green was doing usual Draymond Green's things of what points, But it was doing all the other little things just just an outstanding effort by the Warriors last night specifically In the fourth quarter when things came to a head air Paschal to eat eight final 12 minutes of the game. Eric Paschal's really You know, showing Maura or Morshed scoring ability that I you know, I I loved him at Villanova. Um, hey, was a good player on winning teams, but he was not, You know, his offense of game just kind of came around his final year there. He's taken it to another level offensively and, you know, I mean outside of Steph, he was their leading scorer down the stretch. Another good game for Andrew Wiggins as well. You know 7 11 from the field three or five from behind the three point line. Um, you know, and it's just me personally like to see him go to the hole a bit more get a little bit more action at the free throw line, but I mean, that's that's another solid performance from from him, so I mean, it's you know, you want a bit more consistency from the warriors that you think back then this was a while ago because they didn't play in Phoenix. But you know what? We saw what we didn't see, you know, which is a spark at the beginning of the game against against the Nuggets. You know, for the Warriors. What you looking for? Now is consistency. But to get these flashes, you know, considering how the war you started the beginning of the season. You know those first two games, but before Christmas And how bad they look to where they are right now. You take it in your run with it. I think now that's going to get to the point where there are expectations of this war your team to look as they have for the seven wins of the season, so You're looking out for those guys. That was fun last night specifically in the fourth quarter. Oh, man, it was fun. And any time you can see a team, you know, start to come together and I know a lot of people were critical. People are super critical of the kid Wiseman to me. I mean, he's averaging 10 and six he shooting almost. We owe 48%, which is, you know, that's not bad. The guy's had a 33 game college career. You know, I just think people got a temper their expectations on what he's going to be right away. He's gonna He's going to people with the best lineup doesn't have him in it. And so on and so forth. It's an investment. I mean in and he's definitely worth investing into me. Shown plenty. He sure enough to him that for the investment, you know, man, 19 years old, three games in college, and you know who he's had to butt heads with over the last couple of games, the two best big men in the NBA. In your kitchen, Anthony Davis. I'm all allowed. James Wiseman. Some struggles in those matchups are those games. All right. Come on, man, exacted who's not struggling against those guys? Come on. What are we talking about here? Yeah. No, I mean to me. I mean, I'm just looking for flashes and growth and the kids seems to be a total willing student to get better. And, you know, I mean, it's just to me it Z. I wasn't expecting anything out of him right out of the chute and 10 and six you know for rookie. I'll take that right now. I'm pleased with with Wiseman, I realized There are times where you know he doesn't see the game like he's going to. But I mean, you got I mean, I'm thinking wow for a 19 year old kid who had no college to be thrown in there against the best centers in the in the prime of their careers. You know, I mean to me he's holding his own. I just I don't even know who you're listening to that have whatever their complaints are James Wiseman. I will tell you this Stop listening to those people. Yeah. That's my only bit of advice and be warrior warrior. Twitter like turns on James Wiseman at the drop of a hat for sugar. Well, that makes my point. If they'll turn on him at the drop of a hat. Why are you paying attention to what they're saying? I thought that's a great question, Rod, but I know it's one to ponder. That's all I'm saying. That's all I'm saying. Anybody who's throwing, you know the bus word around with James Wiser anybody was talking about. Well, he's not that good. Or what did they do this or why can't he be? You know what can you match up with those guys that Zach come on, man..
