"The Legion. Well, good morning. Once again, Lions Nation. How you doing? Hopefully this broadcast finds you and yours doing well during these crazy times. Steve Cortes showing Ba Legion indeed, from Lyons, Radio Central, and we have your Detroit Lions kicking off the second half of this 2020 campaign. You know, it wasn't all that long ago, we were talking about the hot, little blue and silver riding a two game win streak. That was then This is now the lions have lost two straight there at Ford Field to take on the two and six Washington football club. I'm Steve Courtney. Happy to introduce you to my broadcast partner. The one The only Sean believes in How are you, pal? No, You're absolutely right. A couple weeks ago. I think we're feeling pretty good about this football team. Steve. You know you had a convincing win against Jacksonville and then that thrilling victory against it, And and you're Take it to yourself. You know, maybe the fortunes of this team and change. They've dug themselves in a whole again and look, this isn't going to be easy today. It's not going to be easy moving forward. I think Washington's probably looking at this game the same way. Detroit is looking at this game. Hey, this is an opportunity for us to maybe get something going, so something's got to give in a match up like this. Well, let's not ignore the elephant in the room as the lines begin the second half if they are indeed going to make a run to the post season. Hey, they have to start winning at home. Today marks 385 days since their last home win, folks, you got to go back to October 27th 2019 when they beat the New York football giants 31 26. They have lost seven in a row. Some of the players addressing that during this practice week and you know it's Not often that you find an NFL team that is incapable of winning at home. It's a matter of fact, The Owen nine jets are the only other team that is not one at home. In this campaign, Shawn, you got to take care of business on our home turf. Yeah, And it's not gonna be easy today, and it's not gonna be easy moving forward. I mean, they've got Houston. They've got Green Bay. They've got Tampa. They've got Minnesota coming in. So you're right, Steve. It starts to weigh in the back here. Mine and their human. They're gonna look at the schedule and go. All right. We got to find a way. It's not gonna be easy being green. It's not gonna be easy to beat Minnesota. It's not gonna be easy to beat Tampa. You know, so it's got to be Washington. It's got to be Houston to me, Steve. It's no time like the present. Find a way to win this one. Well and again. I think the lines they're in a situation and how many times Have. We started a game day broadcast The countdown If you will, saying it's a must win for the Detroit Lions is a matter of fact. For so many reasons. This is absolutely critical. You know, when the schedule first comes out, you take a look at it and you see the Washington football team. Right here right now and raise your hand if you had. This is a W. Well right now There are just no guarantees with this team, and they've talked about having a close locker room. They talk about knowing what the story is. They've got to go out and seize the moment. Yeah. And you know what? Steve? Listen. Alex Smith has been a cute story. I mean, and I say that with all respect, I mean, no disrespect by saying cute. It's been a cute feel good story, but here's the issue today. He showed last week. My man can still play. He can still throw the ball around now. Work turnovers, an issue. Yes, they were. He threw three interceptions, but he also threw for over 300 yards. Not too shabby for a guy that almost lost his leg a couple years back, So this is a situation where it's gone from being a good story to go on. Oh, Alex Smith can still play football and was some of the lines issues. Offensively right now, that's gonna be worth looking into today, Steve. Well, let's talk about Alex Smith because it's certainly story partner that bears repeating on. He certainly has the respect of Matt Patricia on this Lions team to a man and why not? You go back to November, 18th 2018 game against the Houston Texans. It was a horrific injury. Alex Smith broke the fibula and tibia in his right leg. In the months that followed, Alex Smith underwent 17 surgeries to remove an infection that was nearly caused for amputation. Along the way. His rehab has been documented. And there are a lot of folks in his particular situation. Shawn, that would have just said Look, You know what? I gave it a world I had a good run in the National Football League. You know, it's time to cash it in. He did not. Hey, said all along that he wanted to make a triumphant, triumphant return. The National Football League, and, by golly, he's done just that against, I think some pretty serious odds. And you know what? Steve? Let's take it a step further. He had all the money in the world. The guy's 36 years old. He could have ridden off into the sunset. He's got, you know. Ah, beautiful family around him. He's he could have ridden off into the sunset. No problem whatsoever. And folks wait. I'm gonna echo what my partner said. Not only was the injury horrific, but the mere fact that somebody thought it was a good idea to put those post first surgery pictures online. That's something that's forever etched in your mind. And I highly suggest not taking a look at that. Honestly, it was gross. It was out there. And you know what? This guy has been forthcoming with all his personal battles with this both mentally and physically. And and as you said, Steve, he's been adamant that he was going to come back and it really all leads to this moment where he gets to start his first National Football League game in nearly two years. No doubt about it. And it's going to be quite the sub story as we go through this till with your lions playing host to that Washington football club Steve Courtney. Sean believes in thank you so much for joining us more information on the way Such as right now, what else is going on with the Lions? Today?.

"They'd have nothing that they assets would be the players and everything else. Yeah. Sorry. I wasn't jumping on this, you know, you look at some of the deals that live with put together with your kind of upfront payment and pay and pay in the future hit certain milestones and you wonder if that's speculative based on you know, commercial deals such as TV rights other than a sponsorship that there can be bringing in that they're like right when we get this in will be able to fund like the Tiago deal interestingly. I kind of had a little bit look into this and it's like a home 2 billion pound Paul that they put together and it's not just JPMorgan funding this but predominantly the the main clubs that are pushing for it are American found clubs. So, you know, it's Glazer's you've got the sports group that owns Liverpool. You've got Arsenal's owners. And so with the push is really coming from that American ownership which again, I've got a real problem with kind of the football association's of the world seeing the NBA as a commercial vehicle and thinking that's what we need to Aspire to be and I kind of mentioned this earlier on the chat that you know, the MBA is is insulated kind of it's just within really within America. Football is granular on a global scale. You've got sub economies within you know countries and you've got so many different high-performing teams across the globe that you can hang of an NBA style platform. I don't think personally but they're they seem to be going down this Avenue to create a kind of the 18th. 2018 Super League is it worth that would act in a way in a format similar to the MBA and it's just because they want to they want to hop on that MBA approach as a commercial machine in Drive revenue and profit from that and and just seems like a really stupid idea. Isn't that cool to Champions League? And is it just the case that this league has been trying to they're trying to create voice. They're just more games in it, or is it just that they said they can make everything like they want it because this already exists. Well, they from what was reading Champions League was is is on the down on a downward slope and they're trying to read off. Event the champions league as it were by bringing the best of the best into a league format with a playoff style tournament at the end. You're you're creating multiple games on a more commercial opportunities more sponsorship opportunities more TV,.

"Smith for the first time since November, 18th 2018 when he had that nasty compound fracture in his right leg is back out here. To play quarterback in the National Football League. Like I think to say that it was a nasty compound fracture is not begin to do it. Justice. He had not played in nearly two years. And I say that a nasty compound fracture does not begin to do a justice if you saw the photos of his leg at any point during that surgery process. You know what I'm talking about? You wouldn't put money on the fact that he would never play ever again, like I don't want to be too graphic about it, but it's almost like somebody took a jackhammer to his leg. And went to work on it and said, All right, that's what you're left with. I mean, it. It was terrifying was disgusting. I mean the play again playing the NFL again. I would have bet any amount of money that I would never walk again. I would've bet that he would have never had use of that leg again. Because you can't use when you don't have and looking at those pictures. I don't know how you didn't lose that stick altogether. And not just my words, his words as well as he told ESPN earlier this year, he spent an extended period of time under heavy sedation, and his memory of what followed still is not clear. Next thing I remember is waking up several weeks later, Faced with the decision of Of amputation or limb salvage. At that point that sounded real good set of options, is it Amputation or limb salvage. Not exactly a good news. Bad news thing. Amputation or limb salvage notice what was not part of that equation, putting on the Pats running around an NFL field making place taking shots. That's exactly what this guy was doing yesterday. It was an amazing thing to see, truly amazing and truly inspiring and pretty scary. Even Darius Butler, who came on our number one, said he was watching that game and he was really afraid for Alex Smith. Course got Aaron Donald lined up on the other side. So that was amazing Moment is great. Is that moment was Dak Prescott injury Was that bad and was so bad that it gets its own take. Was so bad that it gets its own take. And when you deal with the highest miss return and the lower press Scott's injury on the very same day, we're talking about a lot of drama. Maybe too much drama. Speaking too much drama about the Houston Texans winning their first game of the year and their first game without Bob. Or as slow. Rome likes to refer to him boob. But Jackson doing everything they could to help in that process. Jacksonville doing everything they could to help out that process, and especially on this play call on fourth and one from the Houston eight yard line runs out,.

"Records do making history is super cool, but it's not something that I go into the game I call trying Try and make history that, you know, I really just think about trying to pull things help my team win state free football. Go home. My family will probably up. Sure they'll tell me that happens. Steelers forward over the first time in 79, the Philadelphia Eagles. Two touchdown passes from Carson Wentz, also two interceptions. Miles Sanders ran for a couple of scores. And Travis Fulghum, a guy that knows a lot of people have heard of 152 yards receiving for Philadelphia. All that and the Eaton's or 13 and one Rams have been playing on the East Coast for a good part of the beginning of this year. They were in our nation's Capitol today, taking on the Washington football team and Jarod Golf and company continue to play very efficient offense, and they played lock down defense to the tune of eight total sacks on the defensive side. God throws for a couple of scores runs for one in the RAM speed Washington by a score of 30 to 10. Now in this ballgame, Kyle Allen started for Washington. However, he was knocked out due to injury. And that meant that Alex Smith, who was dressed today got on the field for the first time since November. 18th 2018 You remember the horrific leg injury that was not only something that knocked him out of football but almost cost him his life. Well, Smith got an opportunity to get back today completed nine passes for 37 yards, and he said there was even a bigger picture aspect of the entire day. Do you get to see my family was nice. Uh, obviously working out. This is that they let family and for this game Um, appreciated them being there. And no, my my life felt better about about things being here. Uh, certainly, obviously very cool to have my kids out there. So, um, yeah. Fun. Hello. In that sense, that was obviously great. But like I said, it's not gonna play games Go play well. You know, certainly there was. It was tough for most of that can happen. Then you can go in Grams are now four and one to start the year. Washington is one and Ford. All right, You tell me. You saw this one coming today. Dolphins at one and three going to Santa Clara to take on the 40. Niners, who lost last week here on Sunday night. Football needed a win, but they were getting Jimmy Garoppolo back. Nighters 20 and six when Jimmy Garoppolo starts All good news right? Bad news for them is that Miami's quarterback definitely runs hot and cold. Ryan Fitzpatrick last week started to show a little bit more of the hot side. It's hot again today. 22 out of 28 for 350 yards, three scores and no interceptions. Miami ran out to a 32 7 lead at halftime and that's when Kyle Shanahan pulled the plug on a starting quarterback. Jimmy Garoppolo to the bench. CJ bettered comes in. We're talking about numbers. The 40 Niners came into today 1 13 all time in games that C. J better displayed it. He was nine for 18 for 94 yards to score. But nowhere near enough is Miami wins this game by a score of 43 to 17, Kyle Shanahan. Why'd you pull your quarterback just the way the whole game was going? I mean, just kind of watching how we were playing as a whole how he was plan. You could tell he was affected by his ankle. I mean, you can ask him or when he gets in, but.

"Eastern nine Pacific Sea, then high on football, he's back. So's rich Ackerman. It might not be a close game right now. But there is certainly a lot doing in Washington. So let's get the details on the first half the Rams on the Washington football team from Chris Russell All right. Act. Yes, we are indeed, at half and it's been the confidence. It's been here a little while. So let's catch up today. 20 to 10 Rams here leading at behalf of the teams are starting Reemerge onto the practice onto the playing field. But the big story here is that Alex Smith has told you in. Our last report did indeed return to an NFL game and for the Washington football franchise for the first time in nearly 700 days since November, 18th 2018 also on this playing surface when his leg Suffered a compound fracture. And of course, we know the whole story. The 18 surgeries and everything since that point, But he came out at the two minute warning. Washington did have their full arsenal of time out the reason why he was intimate because Kyle Allen scramble toward the Washington sideline. He was illegally by Jalen Ramsey, who was flagged on the particular play, but Kyle and then had to go. Undergo medical evaluation. So when Smith came out, he got off the bench. He started warming up. He started doing his practice, dropped near the Washington sideline and then trotted out on the field. I wish I could say it was in front of a standing ovation, but riches we told you about 200 fans are here, and they are family and friend, but his family Alex Smith family was indeed here, and it was a heartwarming moment that we've all been ableto see now on video. Making him a standing ovation here in the rain as he made his return, and I'll tell you what. There was no limitations. He immediately through on his very first snap a six yard right flat screen to JD McKissick. Second play was he scrambled up through the middle and threw some traffic on and was ultimately in complete after a review and on the third He was sacked by Aaron Donald, who basically ambushed him from behind and throws him down into the ground, and everybody went gulp, but Alex Smith got up came back after a Kendall Fuller interception. His third already in the last two games, and then let a 48 Yard field goal drive from Dustin Hopkins. A five play 29 yard drive, just 49 seconds on the drive again. It was under two minutes and so far Alex Smith is 56 for 35 yards in his return, So that's obviously the big story moving forward as I look out on the field right now. Kyle Alan is helmet list, but he is throwing the football and taking drops along the sidelines. So it looks like he could be coming back in here, Kyle Allen, but again, he does not have his helmet on, so we'll just have to wait and see and I'll call in, obviously, with the latest assumes we get it. All right. So for the first time in 23 months, Alex Smith is back and quarterbacking the Washington football team after Kyle Allen got hurt earlier, and, of course, Dwayne Haskins, who was demoted to third quarterback today, not even at the game that you could play anyway. But not even at the game after a stomach bug got the best of him earlier, so he is not there. So it's all Kyle old Alex Smith show right now as they try to rally after falling behind big in the first half to the ramp, So right now, we got under a minute left in the second quarter and it looks like the Chiefs are on the verge of taking the lead back after giving up their 24th point of the first half. Right now, they are I think first and goal right now, so we'll check on that in just a couple of moments, but right we'll get more on it from Christian better right now. Looks like they were gonna go in for the score. Trailing 24 21 to the Raiders. Looks like Clyde Edward a layer look like a four yard touchdown, but that was nullified by Hillary Travis Kelsey. Called for offensive, passive passive affair. So they took that one or didn't quite put that one on the board for the chief's right now in the middle of a 10 plays 58 Yard Drive about 47 seconds left here in the first half its third and goal there now backed up to make their way to the won, but now they're backed up after the penalty. To the Las Vegas 14 yard line. So they trailed by 3 24 21 the Raiders after trailing 14 to 3 in this game, come rumbling back to get a big bomb to take the 24 21 lead Henry rugs holding a 72 yard catch from Derek Carr and again that made it 24 21. So Their car looking a bit like Patrick Mahomes with three first half touchdowns, got the one intercession that the chief's capitalized on and made it turn it into a fiery kill touchdown. But he's nine of 11 to 35 for three touchdowns in that pick, and they lead 24 21. The chief's knocking on the door, though, with 47 seconds left here in the first half. All right, thank you very much. Christian Vetter in Kansas City. So it's been up and down. First happened. One in which the Chiefsoffense looked unstoppable at one point, and the defense that have been so good so far this year has now faltered and the Raiders suddenly with 24 points in the first half and leading by three late, But the chief's looking to change that In just a couple of moments. The own four Texas taking on Ah, the one of three Jaguars in what has been a very low scoring first half. Also right now, the Owen for Falcons in Atlanta. Let's go to Jeff's L as Atlanta looking a rally trailing the Panthers Big Jeff Well, rich. Let me tell you this. The Falcons were down 20 to 7 at the half..

"Yeah, which we talked about it during our pregame show that Alex Smith was one snap away from returning to the football field for the Washington all team, and that's indeed what has happened. Kyle Allen knocked out of this game at least temporarily, for now, with a nasty shot along the sideline from Jalen Ramsey, who was indeed flag, but that means he had to go in for medical treatment check under the Blue tent, and Alex Smith got immediately up off the bench started loosening up on the tarp covered sideline. And then came out onto the field and during the two minute warning because the play happen like that was happening. He was sending up doing all of his drops. And then he came in first place with a few minute warning his first snap since November, 18th 2018 against the Houston Texans. So what? Almost 700 days on, he I had a completion on his first pass of the season and since that point a short completion little swing pass to the right to JD McKissick for six yards and then scrambled up the middle. Scrambled up the middle and threw an incomplete pass low on the next place of Washington calling passing plays on Alex Smith's first two plays off the You know of his return, so they're clearly not trying to hide him necessarily. Andi looks good, so far. From what? Everything that I can tell rich both on the sideline. Loosening up and off course under center so far, of course very early, but he did scramble through some traffic in the middle and look sharp doing it. So we will keep an eye on that Washington With the football 1 53 lefts ago, They're down 20 to 7. But While Kyle Allen is officially listed as questionable to return. Alex Smith is again back on an NFL football field after that gruesome leg injury on November 18th 2018 and leading the charge for the Washington Bridge back to you. Well, great to see him back, but of course unfortunate to see it as a result of the injury to Kyle Alan, and, of course, Dwayne Haskins, who was demoted this week, not even at the game because he has a stomach bug at the very least. So it was is Alex Smith's show right now and trying to rally the Reds. I should say Washington football team after Avery slow start, Let's check in with Jeff's L. In Atlanta, where the Panthers have been in front, the pretty much the entire first half here, Let's get more from Jeff. And they've also been that landed territory Pretty much the entire first half right now. Panthers up 13 to 7 34 seconds to go, but they have the ball on the Atlanta seven yard line, which means Five possessions for the Panthers, all five into Atlanta territory, four of them to the Atlanta 21 or closer previous play very symbolic of the Atlanta season. So far, the Panthers complete a pass to Robbie Anderson. He gets down to the seven yard lunch, then Atlanta gets an injured player, so the Falcons have to be charged with a time out. Stop the clock for the Panthers with 34 seconds to go at the seven yard line. Meanwhile, Teddy Bridgewater 19 of 26 with one touchdown pass 57 R two d Jame, or the amount of yards after catches is just a basing. Dee Jay Mohr was probably a 10 yard catch 47 after that, on this, Dr Mike Davis had about a five yard catch. And then he ran about 18 after the catch. Falcons just cannot stop the ride receiver Robbie Anderson, who has six catches for 86 yards. Right now. The Panthers about the two yard line, Mike Davis, seven carries for 41 yards, Things just Don't really get much better for the Falcons right now. Panthers second and goal from the three There are 13 to 7 with 28 seconds to go here in the first half. All right. Thank you very much. Jeff Zel in Atlanta, where the windless Falcons down by six late first half, Let's go and explain in Houston at the half the winless Texas on top of the Jaguars. And Ricky was a very eventful last minute of the first half, but not a good one. If you're Steven Housego what's start with just world we left off where the JAG tied in third and goal from the Texans. Three the JAG boss three yards on third down, So Stephen House, making his Jags debut comes in for a 24 yard field goal. He misses it left, so the Texans get the ball back at the 20. Very first played Shawn Watson frozen interception, and so the JAG set up with great field position all three of their time out. They have to settle for a house 49 guard Bugle and he missed it short. So, Stephen how Scott, This is two field goals. In the last What 40 seconds of the first half of the Texans go into the locker room, somehow leading this game. 10 to 7 of the Shawn Watson has a touchdown pass to Darren Fells, a 44 yarder and then Gardner mints. You who got off to a little bit of a slow start really came on strong at the end of the half, Hey, has one touchdown pass to killing Cole and overall, he's 16 of 22 for 143 yards. And a touchdown. James Robinson, eight carries with 43 yards. Detectives on the ground haven't done a whole lot. David Johnson, six carries 22 Watson is 11 of 15 for 100, a 50 yard. So we are at half time in Houston, The Owen for Texas are leading the one and three checks. All right, thank you very much. So a three point lead for the Texans looking for their first win. The Panthers have just scored again. A CZ. Teddy Bridgewater hooks up with Mike Davis on a short pass. So 19 7 with the point after pending in that one. Let's head to Heinz Field. The Steelers late first half have the lead over the Eagles. Here's Jeff Hathor. After a slow start. We've seen scoring on five straight possessions and laid here in the first half. The Eagles just completed a third in 18 and are driving with a couple of timeouts left. 17 14 Steelers. Mile Sanders has rushed for 73 yards. 74 of them came in a touchdown run, and he also has a one yard touchdown run. That's his production has been mostly on that one run, but that big play really got the Eagles offense going. As they're currently just outside of Steelers territory for the Steelers Ben Roethlisberger touchdown pass to chase Claypool off 32 yards. Claypool also ran it in for two yards, so after a slow start the offenses Turning the heat up on a hot day in Pittsburgh, 17 14 feelers 37 seconds to go here in the first half. Alright, so that's been one of the better game so far through the first half of this one. Let's head to Christian veteran Kansas sitting a game that's had a lot of twists and turns. Thus far it's a four point lead. Well, the defending Super Bowl champs Christian Yeah, I mentioned last time bit of his shoe down here. 21. 17 Chiefs, holding on to afford four point lead with four minutes left here in the first half. The Raiders the most recent to score Darren Waller, five yard touchdown pass, and that made it 21 17 of a set up by a eight yard catch. 23 yard catch to the Ah! He had a 38 yard line by fullback Alec and Gold. So that set up that set up the dare, wall or touchdown. Catch their car. Eight of 10 1 63 2 touchdowns. Get the interception that led to a Kansas City. Touchdown. Ah, Sammy walk ins of note here just who did have a eight yard touchdown. Catch that gave the Chiefs 21 10 lied. He just limped off the sideline..

"Verrett joins the mark. Willard show. I've been looking forward to connecting with you, Jason. I was down in San Diego when you were there and watched. What was? Ah, you know, frustrating point of your career. Quite a bit. So, uh, so glad to see you up here. How you doing them? I'm doing good man. Glad to, you know, be healthy man. And just enjoying a moment of being back out there managed. This is best for him. And I'm just looking forward to every week. I have the same question on two fronts. I'm gonna ask you, how does it feel to be back? And what I mean by that first is, how does it feel to be back in in Northern California? And if it was good to be back, man, you know this is home and my family only up the road. So even though with covert happened in, you know, they still feel like they right there, You know, they turned in every week. Every game so But now I'm happy to be back home. And you know the baby home and I love it. And then how does it feel to be back? In terms of football? You're finally starting to get A little continuity here, You know, I know it's it's It's been hard to find those moments in your career. So so how is this sitting with you? And it's good. You no credit. You know, the whole fortune our organization from top to bottom. Forget me back healthy. You know, I wanted to be out there last year, but you know they they had a plan for me and ah, it turned out to be the perfect plan that I needed. You know what? All the injury that I went to Allow my body just to fill up strengthen up in, you know all the areas that I needed manage so going into this office and I was happy, actually, with covert happened and just allow more time he'll get stronger and then fast forward to where I am now, Um, I think it's showing that you know, that was that was a good thing for me, man. I like what? I'm mad. So you pointed the organization in helping you and sort of having a plan. What? What exactly did they do? And how is that led to this fit? Um, it was just pretty much knowing that everything that I've been through and just with the injury that I went to a bar as a CEO on that filly that normally takes about close to two years for both those fully here fully get their strength back an explosion and you know, they just know what Everything that I went to. Of what a sale in 17 and then Achilles and 18. And then trying to come back from both of those within a year was tough, so far them me II army and allow me just a roll and you know it worked out. Will you take everybody through the timeline of your injuries? Because I know it's been more than just those two people can really get a sense off. What you've dealt with it What you've been through in your career. Kind of long but makes you know that Adam a Pro Bowl year, 2015 and going in 2016 season, you played the first four games, but I told my actually in week two apart until we too Ah Try to, you know, play through it as much as I can. I play two games on this swelled up. Too bad, um, had to get surgery. So I got the surgery in the fall of 2016. And after my surgery, I kind of developed like a lot of scar tissue. So I've got a school disco in Take that scar tissue out. Kept trying to just react fast forward into was at the fall of 2017. I developed so much got tissue. It'd end up being like a psych class fibrosis, which was just like a golf boss as of scar tissue that I had to get that removed. Um, And that's why I missed 2017 season and then going into 2018 tryingto cover from there Did O th, um, and the day of Ah, training camp First day for the condition. It is feeling good, And that's when I popped my Kaylie. And so I dealt with that trying to rehab from that, along with my need and going in 2019 and I have both the knee and Achilles what I was dealing with trying to fight through it. And, you know, thank God being that I was here and they understood everything. And I want to and just say you know what? You shut it down this key Both of these things right? And be honest with me on this. How many times did you contemplate retirement? Um, it was on enough just because you know, being in those those dark moments, men of, you know, being frustrated where everything is going and trying to figure out why definitely contemplated a few times. But you know, with the birth of my son I think he kind of gave me a little bit more juice. Wanna get get out there and get going, So I definitely get credit to Milo Boyd for that. When was the board? He was born in March. 18th 2018. Okay, okay. So about about 2.5 right now, That's interesting. Gonna ask. Like how How did you get through it? And I mean, it was it was it was, Of course, my fiance and about my family. You know, they would they would air but still at the end of the days. My son was just don't know it just you know, he didn't. He didn't know what was going on. They always don't smile in it and environment every day. So a You know those rough days that I have a rehab coming home. And Sam just kind of wiped everything away. And then as I started to feel myself this past season getting back Tio full strength, man. I wish I was just happy that you know how much I could do it for love that. Yeah. Love Jason Jarrett is with us here on the sports. Later. You mentioned the Pro Bowl season after that. The 15 year. How would you compare that player to this year's Jason Verrett? Ah, that player was more healthy. You have to deal with love. But I just think I get going, man and get my feet back under me with more more games as we go along to to see the, um, definitely see myself getting back there. You know, it is the NFL. So it's tough. You know, I've been out for a while, but I just know what the grind that I got The ability that I still have. I still got Pro Bowl, telling Amy And you know, just every week. I'm just going to elevate it and get back to that level. I want what I was thinking of your situation to as you watch. So many teammates get hurt with the back to back games in New York and all that talk about the MetLife surf, And here you are just starting your your season and you know yet again trying Teo to get healthy and get out there. Did you have any reservations? Was that worrisome to you that you were doing this on that turf? No, not the door. I was decided to be out there could be for real. You know the turf? Definitely. Wass. Ah lot harder than I thought the regular turf that I played on. But I was just happy that I got out of their healthy. Yeah. Yeah, And obviously the injury bug has hit your group very, very hard as much as any good. So how How has that affected you all being that It's a different group seemingly each week. Man. It is tough man. Just cause you know you can't control injuries in this game. You know, a lot of things just haven't but just with the way that we build areas as far as the next man up mentality, that's just pretty much how how it had been every everybody in the room is always prepared and and ready to go, but when a number to call, so I think we do a good job of that here. Of making sure everybody fully prepared. But once we get a majority of the guys back in the back, and I think that's a week and get ready for the stretch that we've got going in the next few weeks, did you look up to Richard Sherman when you were coming out of college?.
