A grieving mother hopes state lawmakers will pass a bill allowing signs that warn about the dangers of jumping off bridges in cold rivers. It was in 2021 that 18 year old Zachary Hines rager jumped from a railroad trestle into the chehalis river, and drowned from cold water shock. Now, if we can just pass this bill and helps save another person, another mother is not going to have to go through what I went through that day and still go through daily. Zack's mother, Jennifer Heinz, supports a bill that would authorize cities, towns and counties to place science near bridges, warning about the hazards of cold water shock. A 55 year old Pueblo woman died last month, but her family has a lot of questions about the investigation. It doesn't
Caller: Mall of America Is a Private Business, Can Create Their Rules
"You are absolutely correct. It is a private business that one caller that said, well, free speech because it has public access. Specifically, each state law has their own laws regarding like malls, but in Minnesota, it was earlier last year, the year before under Minnesota versus wickland, their courts upheld that they had a right not to allow certain free speech in that mall and it had something to do with the BLM raise a protest there. I don't think the T-shirt is actually a free speech thing, but your caller is absolutely incorrect and you are absolutely correct. It is a private business and they can dictate what is allowed in their mall. And again, and it's fair game to point out the double standards, but again, and that's why they have rules and regulations. Including in some malls now, they've actually restricted how old you can be to be in the ball by yourself. I went 17, 18 years old. Yeah, and they have the safety back. Of course. Of course they do. You were right. So I wanted to I wanted to back you up on that. All right,
Legal recreational marijuana sales starting in Connecticut
"Legal recreational cannabis sales starting Connecticut, even though it remains illegal under federal law 21 states have legalized recreational marijuana for adults over the past decade. At the fine federal dispensary in Wilhelm antic, 32 year old Samuel Gabby was one of the first to line up and buy legal recreational marijuana in Connecticut. Then waiting since I was an adult 18 years old and the day finally came where we can all just come here and get what we want and go home without having to worry about the police or anything. So it's a good day for people in Connecticut. Diana Vickers says it's about time. We made decisions before that may have been incorrect. That's okay. With my business if you go back and make it right. So I think that's what I like the best about it. As many as 40 dispensaries along with dozens of other cannabis related businesses are expected to eventually open in Connecticut by the end of the year. In neighboring Massachusetts, retail sales began in 2018 and last month in Rhode Island and New York. I'm Julie Walker.
Why Has the Military Failed to Reach Projections?
"Now Sarah, I want to start the new year by talking about the problem at the bottom of the military and at the top. At the bottom, we're not hitting our recruitment goals. Some people blame Wilkins. What does senator Tom cotton think? I think that's one of the main reasons that the army in particular, but all the services then meet the recruiting goals and project bell this year as well. America's young men and women don't join the army because they want to learn how to use the right pronouns. They join it because they want to stand up to the enemies of freedom and defend our land in our country. So that's not the only reason, but it's one of the central reasons. And here, when you look at it too, and you think about who is joining our military, who's enlisting and our armed forces, it's not gender studies majors at liberal arts colleges for the most part. It is 18 year old Alan high school oftentime raised in military families who have a deep and abiding patriotism for this country. They don't join the military so they can learn about all the country's laws. They join the military so they can defend it.
Good Versus Actual Good People
"Let's say you're an independent. You're not right, you're not left. Or at least that's how you define yourself. Do you think your child, let's say, you're 18 year old, you're 25 year old. Would become a kinder finer human being if no, no, I'm going to give you my oars. This is one of my more questions. If your child became a religious Jew, religious Protestant or religious Catholic or religious I said you were a religious Mormon or a religious leftist, so to speak. In other words, a serious woke leftist. Do you believe that the first four would produce the same type of human as the 5th wood? The first four being the traditional conservative. No, I don't. No, I know you don't. I'd like to ask this if people who are, as I said, independent. People are, we're both made depressed you. Really? Yes. Oh, that's fascinating. I thought it's a rhetorical question. That's what we think, but I have assumed before that it's understood that people who are traditional or conservative or religious will be better people than those who are leftists, but I can tell you, Dennis, besides, conservatives, other people don't see it that way.
Should Mike Gallagher Step Down as the Show Host?
"The Monday before Christmas and I'm forced to ask you if you think I should continue as host of the Mike Gallagher show. It has come to this. I mean, I started in 1978 with my first talk radio show at 18 year old kid in Ohio. Made my way through the ranks, you know, went to South Carolina, Albany, New York, New York City, been heard coast to coast since 1998. And I am forced to ask you to determine my professional fate. In just a couple of moments, Derek will polish off our poll question, should Mike Gallagher step down. As host of the Mike Gallagher show, I may or may not abide by your decision. Holy cow. Elon Musk is going to step down as head of Twitter. This is pretty wild.
Kirk Cameron Talks About Adoption and His Movie 'Lifemark'
"You're the guest on my program today is because of a film that you have made or you've been a part of about adoption. It's called life Mark. Now, I know we've talked about it before, but for people who miss that, what is the plot of this film titled life Mark? So one day somebody sent me a link to a short documentary. And it was the true story of an 18 year old girl who changed her mind on the abortion table. She literally had a vision in her mind that this was not supposed to happen to her baby. And so she rolled off the table, chose adoption for her child, hid the whole process from her parents by moving in with her boyfriend, hiding the pregnancy. She gave her child up for adoption, thought she'd never see him again 19 years later, he reaches out to her and he connects with that young woman. She thinks he probably hates her for abandoning him, but he wraps her up in a big embrace and says, I love you. Thank you for the choice that you made. I love my life. I love my adopted family. And it's an incredible story that is pro life, pro family, pro love, pro forgiveness, reconciliation, and new beginnings.

The Importance of Golf Facilities in College Golf
"Circling back to the facility thing in D.C.. We had one when I was at LSU. And that was kind of that was 15 years ago. That was pretty much when the facilities that golf facilities, the first class, $1 million facilities for these power 5 schools, pretty much everyone had one at that point. When I was getting recruited tech had one, LSU had one Texas had one up on the state. I had one Baylor. Everybody had one. And you had to, right? To get these recruits. But it's not the facility. The potting group private potting green or the private driving range were just the team members and the big donors can go. It's really not that. What I used at most or was a place where I could go and just kind of be alone. These kids, these kids from TCU, they don't have, you know, others in their own where they live, their house, or whatever. They don't have a place where they can just go hang out with their teammates and know that it's just going to be their teammates, right? Somewhere where they have a locker. Somewhere where they can go and watch a football game where it's just going to be them, they know that. No one else is going to walk into the 19th hole and stare at them at Mira vista or colonial or shady, like what are these guys doing in my 19th hole? They're not supposed to be in here. And that's a big deal. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but when you're 18 years old and you're kind of searching for friends and want a group to hang out with, you need somewhere to go and feel like you belong, right? It's a sense of belonging these kids want when they're that young and they're becoming men that they don't have right now. And if they do, when they do, I guarantee you TCU with the courses they have access to around here, they'll be a much better program. They'll be able to get better players from America. I'm not saying these European foreign kids are bad or anything, but you got to recruit Texas. Especially around here. If you're TCU in that facility, you'll help.
What Makes People Happy?
"All right, everybody, Dennis prager, I was thinking in Denmark last week. Of people happy and it's almost impossible to note, although I have strong happiness radar after traveling somewhere outside of the United States every single year. Since I was 18 years old, or 19 years old, except for 2020 when it was not simply not possible. Even 2021, I went to Hungary. And of course I just went to Denmark. And it's I have a certain assessment of how I judge whether people are happy, a few assessments. They're not easily described, they're often sensed more than describable, but that doesn't help you any. So I'll give you some descriptions.
Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill's Weird 'Adult' Relationship
"Millie Bobby Brown. Another one, she's 18 years old, this kid we've been seeing us and she's a kid on Stranger Things. She's developed into a very pretty young woman. 18. My daughter is 18. I can't talk this way about young girl. I can't say women, she's a young girl. She's dating Henry Cavill. And this is why it's weird 'cause for many years, Henry Cavill, you know, there was always a story about him liking very underage girls. That followed him everywhere for years, especially on the crazy days and nights, boards. Dad, Henry Cavill is got an a hankering for underage girls. Nobody wanted to believe it. I used to wonder he was dating my former friend who I used to call female MMA fights with. Gina Carano, who became an actress and is now in all sorts of movies, then she got in trouble, so now she makes movies for Ben Shapiro's company, but for a while he was dating her. And Jane is a beauty. Gene is fun. She's beautiful. She can kick your ass, she can take care of herself. Smart and that didn't last. And then he's back out there looking for youngins. I don't know. So now he's with Millie Bobby Brown, he's 39 she's 18. It's a big difference, bro big difference. And she says, you know, our relationship is very adult. It's a healthy one. He puts me in my place when I need to be put in my place. The things she says about this relationship. It's kind of weird. It's different because I grew up with Noah and Charlie. I meant that when I was ten. So for me it does feel like your school makes it Henry it feels like a real adult relationship. Like a really good friendship, a really healthy one. One that we have terms and conditions. Okay, can you elaborate on that shit? I know Henry, he has terms and conditions with me. I'm not allowed to ask about his personal life. Excuse me? It's like Millie, shut up, and I'm like, no, I understand completely. What kind of relationship is this? He's very strict with me, which I appreciate. Okay, can we start playing The Twilight Zone music? This is weird.

Ret. Gen. Paul Vallely on Whether Young Men Should Join the Military
"This question asked all the time, Paul, and I'd love your wisdom on it. I don't have a good answer. Where young men, 17, 18 years old, and their families come up to me and they want to serve America. And they say Charlie should I. And it's hard for me to answer because I don't want them. I don't want to deter them from service to America. I think it's honorable and heroic to have duty to your nation. At the same time, I don't feel confident to send some of these young men into the current apparatus that is the United States military, which is just becoming a social experiment. What advice would you give to them? What's your response to that, Paul? We have to restore Charlie, and we have to have new leadership. That's why a new president selecting new generals and admirals who go by the code duty honor country, which we learned at West Point, as you know, and have taken their oath. And they have basically subjugated themselves to inferiors, set them officers, and that was the hallmark of that was surrendered Afghanistan and troops saw this. They understood what these generals and admirals were doing and not doing. And so we have a restoration reconstruction, a renewal just like our constitution and our government. We got to restore it. It's the only way. There's too many threats against this country.
The Number One Anger of Conservatism
"This is the one that I believe preoccupies me the most. This competition for what they're ruining the most free speech was up there. But I have to say the mutilation of young children or young adults by the left and by the obscene doctors in the service of the left is probably my number one anger. At what the left is doing to this country. Everything else is salvageable. But an 18 year old girl has some sick surgeon take her breast off because she says she's a boy. That can't be undone. I guess you can get breast reconstruction when there were no breasts, but not quite the same plus what puberty blockers do, they say that they don't deal with minors, but the very notion of a puberty blocker means you are not just a minor that's under 18.
Steve Gill: Predictions for Election Results, Favoring Republicans
"Think the trendlines are in favor of a red wave or possibly a red tsunami as I think Republicans clearly take the house. I think at this point, I would think we end up with 52 48 in the Senate, maybe even more. The trendlines are in the right direction, but it all turns out with what happens. With turnout over the next over the next week, you've got a couple of days of early voting in some states. And I think Republicans have to win most of those seats by a wide enough margin that they can not be stolen. We've already had incidents reported where 250,000 ballots are being shipped out to people who are not eligible to vote in some of these blue states. We know that they've been artful in steaming close elections in the past. I think we've got a fear of the same thing that could tamp down the way that could be building. The best indication though Todd is it's sort of like a where's Waldo. I think Kamala Harris is pictures on a milk carton right now as people are wondering, where is Kamala? She was doing a get out the vote event this weekend. In Massachusetts, not in a battleground state. Not in a battleground district, but in a state that has no tough races because they're having to hide her. Joe Biden's up in Delaware apparently groping his granddaughter as they go both. Oh my gosh, did you see that that was disgusting? Oh my gosh, Steve Gil. How long does it take to put on a I voted sticker on the chest of an 18 year old girl that involves you having to continually press it down and mash it down on her breast to make sure it sticks appropriately, but they're hiding them, you're not seeing Democrats going into these battleground areas. In fact, they're moving money out of out of races where it looks like Republicans may be winning and putting them into districts that should be safe. I think the Republicans pick up three maybe four net gain governor races. I think we picked up control of the Senate and the House.
Biden to vote early in Delaware with his granddaughter
"President Biden this weekend will join many Americans who have voted early in the midterm elections Vote you got to get out the vote We can do this if we vote The president's been imploring Democrats to do it And tomorrow he will in Delaware The White House says a guest will join him Natalie Biden his 18 year old granddaughter and a first time voter The president spending the weekend at his Wilmington home except for a quick trip this evening to Philadelphia where he'll raise money for Pennsylvania Democrats alongside vice president Harris a democratic official says the reception will raise a $1 million for the state party as John fetterman's in a tight and expensive Senate race with Republican mehmed Oz Sagar Meghani Washington
Chris Widener: Pushing for a State Law to Make Drag Shows 18+
"Yeah, who'd have thought it would happen in little old Chattanooga, but about three weeks ago we had a quote unquote family friendly drag show down at a place called the wander linger brewery and somebody caught some video of a girl that looked maybe 5, maybe 6 years old, literally for about 5 or 6 seconds, second stroking the genitals of one of these drag queens dressed up as a princess or a mermaid or something like that. Didn't no desire to push her away. No desire to move away. It just happened. And the most shocking thing about all this is that there's been no outrage from anybody in government. And so we decided to start a petition and we're going to try and pass a state law here in Tennessee, and we've gotten actually quite a bit of positive reinforcement from our state reps in our state senators. So we're interested in that and we're excited about the possibility of getting a state law to make them 18 and over in order to go to a drag show, which would cut them out of it would cut them out of parks and we could cut them out of schools that would cut them out of libraries and cut them out of any public place whatsoever. I'm curious, Chris, what sort of feedback are you getting from citizens there? Are you finding more people supporting this effort or more people taking the side of the drag queens? Oh, no, no, no, they're totally on our side. Because in fact, and I got to give a shout out to the LGBTQ community here in Chattanooga. There is a support from them because they recognize this is not for kids. This is adult behavior, just like it may not be a perfect analogy, but it's a pretty good analogy just like a strip club, right? You know, there are people that maybe don't like what goes on a strip club, but they realize there's a right to them and so they do them in their in their own clubs, but you don't allow 18 year olds. I mean, you don't allow young younger than 18 year old to be able to go to these things. So we're getting a lot of great support and most heartening is the fact that we've heard from a lot of politicians who said, run with that petition, get a lot of people because we really want to do something here in Tennessee and make it a state law. I'm curious
Liberal, Or Left
"So mom, tell me your three, four core beliefs. Or ask her, I have a column of 32 questions to ask if to find out if someone's liberal or left. Ask her if she thinks Columbia University having a black graduation and a black dormitory is part of her liberalism. Just ask her that. Okay. And let me know what happens. Hey, mom, you think I'm in give birth mom? You think an 18 year old should be able to decide to have a surgeon cut off her breast because she says she's a boy, mom. What do you think about that mom? You think kids are not born male or female? That's the position of the American medical association, mom. What do you think of that? Of course, if you really want to get into the weeds, hey mom, how come I put only invaded Ukraine under democratic presidents and not under Trump? Boy, would I like to hear a Democrats answer on that one? Well, I really would. I'm not even interested in arguing with them. I would just like to know how they confront reality.
Phil Schwenk: Focused on Students, Not Fake News
"Controversy involves a television station out of Nashville news channel 5 and this is the headline and this will be the launching off point for our conversation. Hillsdale president Larry Arne, who I know. Hillsdale president Larry arn says racism is like sexuality neither should be discussed in the classroom. Now, you guys have been really subjected to a lot of fake news and a lot of smears and slanders by the media in Tennessee. What's going on here? What's the problem? Well, I think you summarized it and what you said. A lot of what we're seeing in the media is false. And it's not true to the work that we're doing in our schools and the hope for our schools. We're very much focused on kids and their education and the classical setting. So a lot of these headlines move away from what our actual causes. We care deeply about kids and their education. So when you start turning into a political commentary about Larry Arne, it's the president hillsdale and issues around racism and sexuality. You're kind of missing some of the core things that we're trying to do and that's established schools for a kids that are 5 to 18 years old in Tennessee. Now,
Biden's Rhetoric Against Republicans Influenced Murder in North Dakota
"The guy that killed him, the guy that ran him over, the young 18 year old was calling his mother after the spat, he was walking through. I believe it was an alleyway of some sort. He calls his mother for a second time first calls her and says, hey, do you know this guy or whatever calls her back or she calls back? I forget exactly how it goes. And when she tries to call back, there's no answer. Her son, her son had been killed. By this guy, Shannon Brent, because the guy came back, he first called the police, he left the scene. He comes, he comes back to the scene, he admits that he had run him over. Said he had a little bit of drink. Frankly, I don't care. 41 year old grown behind man. Gets in a spat over politics with a kid that he says was a Republican extremist. He, listen, take a look at the picture of the kid online. Taylor, Ellington. There is no way that kid was any type of freaking terrorist. But this is the, in my opinion, the danger of the rhetoric that the Biden administration and those on the left, this is exactly what they can cause. We had Ashley babbitt, we have Taylor ellingson. In my opinion, both murdered. That's my opinion. Both murdered.

"The annual shareholders meeting where compensation packages for Amazon's top executives were approved I'm Jeff poggioli Well here we go again 19 children and two teachers are dead after another school shooting This time in the heart of gun country uvalde Texas The tragedy happened at rob elementary school and their suspected shooter identified as 18 year old Salvador Ramos is also dead Joining us now is ABC's M win and let's begin with some of the details What have we learned about what exactly happened So we understand that the shooter 18 year old suspect did get a hold of two guns One was an AR and it seemed to have happened on his 18th birthday just days before the shooting On the day of the shooting we understand that he had shot his grandmother who had seemingly had taken him in after he had arguments with his mom before that Shot his grandmother went on took the car which he did not know how to drive crashed it and that's when he went into the elementary He was actually confronted by officers at the school but they weren't able to stop him He was wearing body armor then he went in apparently barricaded himself into a classroom and began shooting So as you said 19 children did at least two adults and we understand at this point it's about 17 others who were injured The president did speak just a little bit after the shooting happened And he gave very emotional remarks he said losing a child is like losing a piece of your soul of course he has his own personal story about that He seemed frustrated He seemed angry and he was urging Congress to pass gun control legislation But of course as you know Jeff gun control remains stalled on Capitol Hill He was wearing body armor as you say he had this gun There was another gun involved that we heard about This sounds like this was very premeditated This wasn't just something he did on a whim Right certainly we understand that as we continue to look into the past of this identified assailant to suspect name of Salvador Ramos That he seemed to have a lot of red flags in the past We understand that he wasn't going to school He basically didn't really go to school for the last year And at that time there was a lot of conversation that apparently he had also threatened his past Friends He was stalking people that he had texted some of his former friends that what they were wearing and what classroom they were in To kind of scare them along And so we understand also on that day that he had been texting a girl about what he was doing during that time as well He said he shot his grandmother He said he's about to move on into the elementary and ultimately at this point the shooting is the deadliest school shooting since sandy hook in newtown Connecticut And that was almost a decade ago And this comes just ten days after a gunman killed ten black shoppers and workers at a supermarket in Buffalo New York So certainly many here in Washington are talking about what's next what can we do next And that is Jeff poach list speaking with them win for more including political reaction.

"Fifties. We're talking about 18 year old driving big rigs. What's the problem to an issue here and let me tell you As someone who was once an 18 year old. No. All right. So that was my gut reaction to Let me explain my position and why I feel differently after having thought about it for a little bit So first things If it's any variation of what's the worst that can happen. It's not that okay, uh, there are terrible things that can happen when you put in 18. Year old behind the wheel of anything, Let alone 18 Wheeler. Um One. They can get their CDL that you know they can get the license to do this anyway. They're just not allowed to drive across state lines right now is that obviously limits their job opportunities? Um, If you are employing an 18 year old to drive a big rig across country, you are going to face enormous insurance costs to do this, like it is obviously going to cost more to ensure this driver. Compared to a 35 year old with the same license to do so. But are we honestly going to say that you can drive a Humvee in Afghanistan at 18 years old, But you can't drive a big rig across Chicago State of Illinois State lines? Yes. Yeah, I find that argument. Well, if that's the case, then we should allow drinking at 18 to Yeah, I feel the same way about that. Okay, well, as long as we're being consistent, then fine, Uh, like again I get it, but we're we're facing this severe driver shortage. Maybe you should. You probably should have a higher, you know, test for the 18 year old driver, and there certainly should be more insurance costs for employing the 18 year old driver. But I fail to see a great argument for why it shouldn't happen. Other than 18 Year olds are irresponsible. I mean, that's the crux. That's the reason Yeah, I get it. You know, I get the point. But if we let them do a lot of other things, including driving F one fifties across state lines at the age of 15 or 16 years old is a little bit of a difference in scale. I get it. I know there's a difference in scale. But I just Yeah, it seems arbitrary to me to say that that age is 21. So many other things are younger. Don't know. It's pretty dangerous driving a 30 ton truck. It is You know, So is firing an M 16. So is, you know a lot of different things that we allow 18 year olds to do. If just what you can do in the army is the threshold. No, I'm not talking about just what you can do in the army. I'm just talking about what you can do is you know private citizen? I guess I'm not following I can go. To parts of the country today and go buy a fully automatic weapon. Yes, at the age of 16. And you, and that means that we should put 18 year old behind the wheel of a towel. It doesn't I I understand your argument. I think the solution there the idea that because other dangerous things can be done means we should allow other dangerous things to be done is it gets to the point? Where is just what we shouldn't have any laws? But that's when it gets to eventually. Yeah, I I understand that it's a slippery slope. I think the differentiation between 18 year old and 21 year old just isn't significant enough for me to say that we definitely shouldn't allow it to happen. I think that it should be allowed to happen with perhaps some more restrictions specifically around training. As well as insurance costs to ensure the 18 year old driver. I would just like to see trucking companies pay more. Yeah, they would solve it without having to go to 18 year olds. Yeah. Probably, you know, it's again talk to anyone who drives one of those trucks. And it's not just the the challenge of actually driving the truck in, you know, complex conditions when you're getting into cities and stuff, But it's the fact that you have to keep yourself focused because you are the most dangerous vehicle on any road that you're on. And just taking your eyes off the road for 10 seconds is the danger between someone in front of you living and dying If you don't see what's going on. Yeah, I just I think too many of these age based laws a little bit arbitrary. I would like to rather see that. You know, we have higher standards around. The drug testing alcohol testing for you know anybody that's doing the job. And if you can find the responsible 19 year old that can drive one of these trucks, Then who am I to say that they can't do it? I think they should perhaps be held to a higher standard. But to like the job itself, I know that in a lot of cases, it doesn't pay enough. But part of the problem too is you've got a family and you don't wanna be on the road six days a week, a lot more attractive to an 18 year old. Then it would be to a 27 year old. Here's the only way I would allow an 18 year old. Here's Here's My by compromise. There cannot be a phone anywhere in that cabin. Yeah, that's fair anywhere. Yeah. It has to be. You got to stow it under the hood. You got to put it all the way in the back, locked in the container with it. It can be anywhere in that cabin for an 18 year old and you need to have like a webcam. In there to like, prove that you have to require like that 18 year old has to be videoed like that's the only way because, look, I get it like when I'm driving my minivan full of my kids, and I'm passing a giant 18 Wheeler. It is nerve wracking in it of itself, and it would be much more nerve wracking if I turned around and saw somebody that was 18 year olds 18 years old driving it Um, my rules. You have to be three years older than the number of wheels on the vehicle in order to drive it. So seven year old should be able to drive a car. That wasn't much of a stacker Aleppo way. Just one item. We just got one item Apple holding an event September 14th for the new iPhone. Cool. Good tonight. That's relate to little mini stacked. We're done for the day. Come back tomorrow.
