"Pair of shootings in the area force a number of schools into taking emergency precautions this afternoon and the first incident four schools in Montgomery County went into a shelter -in -place situation for over an hour the shooting happened around 1145 this morning on lost knife circle the schools involved included Montgomery Village Middle School as well as Watkins Mill, Stedwick, and Whetstone Elementary Schools. Montgomery County police say they found a man who was shot he has non life -threatening injuries. Witnesses also tell police that the man who was shot was also hit over the head with a machete no one's been arrested. Meanwhile, three schools locked were down for about 15 minutes after a shooting in Greenbelt this afternoon. Greenbelt police responded to a shooting in the 6200 block of Spring Hill Court where they found a 21 year old woman with gunshot wounds. She was backed off of Greenbelt Middle School's campus. Police are asking the public for any information about that incident. New tonight, three people are in the hospital after being shot near the Rhode Island Avenue metro station Northeast in D .C. It happened just after six. D .C. police say two men and a woman were shot. They were to all taken local hospitals. They all are expected to survive. The shooting caused a chaotic scene during the evening commute for many metro riders at that station. Commuters scattering as the shots rang out. Police are still and they are working working on a suspect. One of the seven teenagers injured Our partners at 7news say 14 -year -old Kevin Lendiverde died today. His mother, Anna, tells 7 News her son was an eighth grader at Longfellow Middle School. in the hospital. The crash happened just before 6 a .m. last Monday on Pioneer Lane near the Merrifield area. Five teens Five were ejected from the car after it hit a tree. Four are still in the hospital tonight. A sixth teenager had to be rescued from the car. The driver, a 17 -year -old, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence but so far no charges have been filed. Fairfax County Police tell WTLP that the 17 -year -old does not have a driver's license. A new lawsuit filed against the Prince George's County Police Department alleges officers unjustly shot a dog and unlawfully entered a home in June 2021. Here at the Prince George's County Library in Upper Marlboro, attorneys showed body camera footage from June 2nd 2021. They said that's the day three county police officers had a maintenance worker give them the key to enter apartment an and investigate an alleged dog bite incident. I no longer feel safe in the presence of the police officers and I will never trust them ever again. The lawsuit alleges officers used excessive force the against four the roommates. Police shot Erica Umana's dog Hennessey, who was later euthanized. Attorney Malcolm Ruff. False arrests, false imprisonment, assault and battery, negligence. A spokeswoman for State's Attorney Ayesha Braveboy tells WTOP that the officers actions didn't generate criminal liability in Prince Georges County. Scott Gelman, WTOP news. Now we have reached out to the police department for comment and are waiting to hear back. Jury selection began today in the trial of a Prince Georges County police officer accused of killing a man while he was in handcuffs. Prosecutors say that in 2020, Police Corporal Michael Owen shot William Green six times while he was He was then handcuffed and wearing a seat belt in the front seat of a police cruiser. A 43 -year -old died at the hospital. shot. Green Green was originally arrested after police got reports of a person driving their car into other cars. Police say he was inside the cruiser for about 10 minutes before he was shot several times. Owen was indicted on second degree murder, manslaughter, and assault charges. The county announced a $20 million settlement with Green's family back in 2020. Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday, the day when many nonprofits hope donations will keep services to those in need. WTLP's Kay Ryan tells us about a local nonprofit that's kids helping who have survived serious trauma. When kids go to the Treehouse Child Advocacy Center in Montgomery County, it's likely they were referred through Child Protective Services or a staff member at a school who sensed there was a problem. Dr. Evelyn Schuchat, a pediatrician with the Treehouse, specializes in the care children of who've been abused and says every donation counts. Small donations can get a child a backpack that we will give out for school and help support an hour of therapy. Funding also covers some very basic items. Our sense is that she's in good hands and they're being very careful. She's a strong woman and I think she's going to overcome it. Ramon cursed also among the dozen released but her husband Yagiev is still in captivity. We were ecstatic but the joy only lasts a few minutes because then you realize she was released without her husband.

Thank you for inviting me here today Excited to be on your podcast to share my story a little bit So, uh, well, I joined our military right at the high school literally after the graduation party the next day I was in the car with the with the recruiter Headed to all the preparation and in the other paperwork administrative stuff. So that was 19 night August 1994 I ride the South Carolina for Jackson for basic training Awesome, and you're looking through your bio your parents were Guatemalan immigrants, right? Yes. Yes, they were going from Guatemala to Chicago I came here after a long wait a wait time back in the 70s and They started their their journey in Chicago in Chicago the west side of Chicago actually humble park And that's where I was born But then they ended up moving closer to the north side And I speak in street corners because I'm from that era in Chicago is something about Chicago I know you I know you from Kansas City you mentioned as we talked earlier So we grew up on Winnipeg and Broadway, which is essentially the north side. They call it Edgewater now Back in the in the early 80s a very different area there that it is now a lot of Cambodian and Vietnamese refugees And immigrants that came after the Vietnam War. I did not know this Obviously as I got older I went back and there's a digging around how I grew up Why was there so many, you know different ethnicities? So I yes, I grew up in Chicago border ways in Chicago, correct? Yes, and so Tell us a little bit about some of the things you did while you're in the army Yeah, so I was I chose my MLS was 94 Bravo back then I think it's changed 92 golf now, which is a cook essentially my thinking a 17 year old person getting Advice from many different people that weren't an army They were like Mario choose a job that it's gonna you know, not be too strenuous or dangerous So you're not gonna so I wasn't gonna be an infantry or Airborne Ranger. I knew that right away So I decided that you know, and I was interested in cooking my mother She you know love to cook so I said to myself it would be something interesting to venture in So I was a I was a cook in the military Definitely had a lot of friends because we were out in the field You know, we had the nice kitchen trailer set up with hot coffee and grill and all my military friends had to eat those MRE So they were like, hey Mario, you know, hook me up with something hot stuff like that So I definitely gained a lot of friends which was pretty cool because I started doing networking back then. I just didn't know it Yeah, great experience. So talk about your transition out of the army. Was it something you're expecting to come on quick? Were you prepared unprepared? I would say I was policy. I'm prepared to be honest So I got out on night 99. I was in Germany my last stop At the time so it was more of a pressure to stay in. That's what I remember the most It was a lot of fear a lot of you know, high pressure to stay in like what are you gonna do? So then life is not great You know stay here, you know, you can retire which I know many people do I know many people Friends that I have still they retired in Germany. They ended up just living to staying there, but my family at the time Was going through a struggle financially and I felt like I need to come home and just be back with them and support them as much as I could so I They gave me my paperwork and I was on my own. Basically. I got back to Chicago, which is very difficult right because Chicago Back, this is like 1999 2000. So just trying to you know, figure all of it out It's a lot right because it's benefits. There's paperwork. There's things that we just don't know about and I'll be honest the last Ten twenty years. I'm learning more and more, right? I Know too recently. There's just many benefits of veterans have that. We just don't know about especially when it comes to entrepreneur small business Something that I want to mention in in 2015 I started a Hispanic chamber out here in the suburbs and part of that was just thinking about how to look out for you know Hispanic business owners So now I'm thinking about better veteran business owners because I do run into them Hispanic or non -hispanic and they talk to me and say you know what? We we need better resources for our for our veteran business owners that are either starting a business On the middle of their business or just trying to figure out how to take their business to the next level So I'm always thinking about that. I'm always thinking about that. I am I am on me Chicago Northwest. That's my full -time job So so that that I'm able to incorporate it because I am I still continue to meet People from from that walk of life and as a veteran myself, I didn't have my own business, right? But If I had that information, who knows right 20 years ago Whatever 24 years ago who knows what would have happened to me when I came back, but I did what most veterans do I enrolled in college right away. It just tried to get out there in civilian life I began a 20 20 year career in banking. That's what I ended up doing so But so yes, I was a banker Assistant manager branch manager for 15 years and a regional manager up to a business banker So I did all facets of banking retail banking when it comes to helping small businesses and that's where I end in my career and and And then I decided to take a another a different Turn in my career into the what I'm doing now with me Chicago Northwest is you know working with us so still working with businesses right because associations nonprofits Diversity clubs sports clubs. Those are all businesses, right? So now all we do now in Chicago, Northwest we talk to them We we bring we try to invite them nationally, right or even internationally to the Northwest suburbs They come out and see what we have to offer so they can have the conferences the conventions or their meetings here. So That was a long answer. I know Back to what you said if I just one of five my transition If I had to rate it, I'll probably give it a one or two. It was it was it wasn't it was not great Yeah, it was not great. So sounds like you ultimately landed Well now I don't I'm not real familiar with the Chicago suburbs But is the Northwest Chicago suburbs primarily Hispanic or have a heavily Hispanic influence or I know she says something about you were targeting more Hispanic Since you're probably fluent in Spanish targeting the Spanish business network Yeah, great question so Chicago in itself state of Illinois itself has a large Hispanic population in itself city Chicago obviously is the largest city which is a heavy heavy Hispanic presence in the suburbs is starting to change, right? You have also an Asian presence Middle Eastern Indian presence, so it's starting to change very very a lot of Backgrounds and cultures Polish as well are out here in the suburbs It's all a mix but I would say definitely in the last 10 20 years the suburbs people have migrated Either to work out here in the suburbs to live out here go to school out here Public schools is a challenge, right? I I went to public schools. So hey, I made it I mean, I made it but it's not it's not easy Joe. I'll tell you that especially when I grew up in the 80s was definitely not easy, but So the answer to that would be yeah Yes, the the suburbs are being more diverse across not just Hispanic so the reason I started the Hispanic Chamber Joe because there's this Hispanic chamber in the city downtown on most people that live in the suburbs don't want to travel You know, it could be an hour for traffic an hour into the city just to go get resources and help So I figured why not have something here for them where they can go and get resources Find out about grants or how to start a business or get the paperwork in order So that's kind of how why I started to need I need that I saw in the suburbs in the middle Which wasn't there awesome? "Morning I'm John Aaron and I'm Michelle Bash the top local story we're following this hour it started last night and the discussion of plans to bring as many as nine new data centers to Prince William County continues at this hour. County Board of Supervisors chair at large Ann Wheeler asked Janelle Cameron a lawyer representing Stanley Martin homes how many diesel generators would be included in the project. We don't have that answer. Can you give me an estimate? I cannot. That's a problem. We don't have any idea? In No all of the data center people I could text they're currently sleeping so no. The board was set to vote last night on the rezoning plan that would bring the Devlin Technology Park data center to Bristow in the area of Devlin and Linton Hall roads. But the vote that decides the fate of the 4 .2 million square foot plan has not happened yet. Many locals are opposed to the project the 269 acres where that data center may sit are currently zoned for residential homes. A meeting in November over another data center had public comment go through the early hours of the morning. Stay with WTOP for updates from that session. Another meeting went very long just approved early this morning a change allowing more small apartment buildings and townhomes to be built in part of our area. The vote by Alexandria City Council came during a six hour long zoning change meeting that started last night. The Washington Post reports the zoning change means buildings with as many as four units can be built in any residential neighborhood in the city. That includes areas previously reserved only for single -family homes with yards. A similar change recently okayed in neighboring Arlington prompted opponents to file a lawsuit against the county and that has yet to be resolved. A local mom is using a car crash teach to her kids an important life lesson. The crash happened last week and the 17 year old who police believe was driving is suspected of DUI but has not been charged. It's night and day seatbelts change That's what parent Kristi Lucia has been telling her kids in the aftermath of last week's deadly Fairfax County crash involving several teenagers. There seven were kids in the accident and one was wearing a seatbelt. The one who was wearing seatbelt a walked away from the accident and the six who were not were in critical condition in the hospital. She also used the incident to explain the impacts that drinking could have on decision -making. Even if you're not driving when you're intoxicated you probably don't have the judgment to the put seatbelt on or be selective about who's driving you. Lucia created a GoFundMe for the family of the 14 year old student who died in the crash. It's raised over $50 ,000. Scott Gelman, WTOP News. Concerns about crime brought crowds of residents to a town hall meeting with DC Police Chief Pamela Smith At the town hall session at 8th and Florida Avenue Northwest the chief heard from Ward 1 residents who frightened were and concerned including Tarek Shah who lives at 8th and V Streets Northwest. There was a murder in our building just 10 days ago. A woman was shot in the face across the street on Saturday. There was a gangland style shooting in LeDroit Park this weekend. Police Chief Smith told the town hall police being are diligent and recruitment is up. And just with everything that is going on with, I mean, for the past year with Ukraine and Russia to Israel and Gaza and the Palestinians, like all the sadness and death and destruction, like I feel as if, and I've seen it on social media. Like there's a lot of people that feel like the apocalypse is inevitable. Like it's coming. The people who aren't crazy. People who aren't crazy, like normal people who are not preppers. They're not people who are just becoming preppers or they're like just normal everyday people that don't buy into any conspiracy theories and stuff. That's what I've been seeing. Like all of those people are starting to be like, what the fuck is happening in our world and should we be afraid? And yes, I think everyone should be, to be honest, I always have trouble getting raps King size lit. So it's taken me a little longer than normal. Not to, not to take away from what you were talking about. That's kind of what the weed does though. Yeah. So we're going to talk about that and we're going to, we can just, we're going to talk. Not that this isn't a happy episode, but cause it's kind of silly, but yeah. Um, so Landon on Saturday, our middle son Landon, he's 17. He has an electric bike that he rides to and from work and going to and from work. He passes by the skate park, which he frequents because he's a skateboard. Um, and he has friends there. Well, their internet was down at his restaurant job on Saturday night. So door dash in like Uber eats, couldn't come pick up their orders. So he took like over well over a hundred dollars worth of food and he just took it and he went to the skate park on his way home and he passed it out to some of the people that he knows that are there staying the night because they're homeless. They don't have anywhere to go and he knows they're hungry. So he went and he passed out this food to them because otherwise it was just going to get thrown away. Yeah. So cause they couldn't come get it and I was really proud of him for that. Cause I feel like, yeah, not all, not everybody would choose to do that. Certainly not every 17 year old, right? He's a good, he's a, he's an amazing kid. Sometimes kids, the shit the kid did is good. It's a good thing. We wanted to have a good, yeah, the kid did good shit. The kid did cause I got a short other shit. The kid did. I went downstairs to make some tea and our coffee maker rinsing out the little bowl, make sure and get all the coffee grounds out so that don't affect my tea. And, uh, I, I, there was a precariously perched pan on the drying rack atop several other pans, all of which was being leaned on by a cutting board. Oh, yeah, that sounds, yeah. And on top of the cutting board was one of my knives. So when I bumped the pan, the knife fell and almost hit my foot. Was that Ben? Yeah. Yeah. He heard me cuss him out from the other room. I didn't even know he was in there the first time. Yeah, no, I didn't cuss him out. I just said, Ben, like you heard that just happened, right? He's like, yeah, it was like, you need to not stack the shits dangerously. Like I need you to do things in a safer way, please. That's what I actually said. That's not what I wanted to say. I wish, I wish we could see both sides of our children. You know, like if, if we had just like, okay, we're in the middle, right? We make these choices back and forth regularly. We're, we're on the mean side. Sometimes we're on the nicer side. Most of the time I want to, I want to view, I want to see what our kids would look like if, if we chose one side strong or the other. Like your light side, dark side child. Um, well, I can tell you how different would your kids be? You think, um, well, if I only chose the dark side, their anxiety would be like way worse and they would hate me probably. Um, but if I only chose the light side, they would just be dirty slobs out of control, like because they wouldn't have learned any kind of discipline, no discipline, no manners, like, so no, that wouldn't have never worked. Yeah. Oh, but I mean, for a lot of, to see what, how bad would they be if we were just like assholes all the time? I don't know, but like people who are terrible to their kids and the kids grew up with like complex PTSD, like it's pretty severe, like it's a constant fucking cycle, like that person then treats their kids shitty and so on and so forth and their friends and their coworkers and the people around them. And so, you know, you have one shitty person, you know, breeds, and then they have a shitty kid and if a person is raised shitty, then they become a shitty person, which affects everybody around them. What I've seen though, like in the past few years, as I've like, as I've spent a lot of time on my personal growth is that a lot of people are breaking that curse, that generational curse of treating their kids badly or being the cycle. They're, they're breaking that and they're trying to be that parent that wasn't there for them because they grew up into this person realizing how desperate they were for attention or love or support or somebody being proud of them. So there's actually a TikToker who is one of my favorites and I've sent her, she has POTS, which is a dysautonomia disease condition. That helped. Um, yes, I know I was going to go. So dysautonomia is a disorder that some people have and it causes like, you can't breathe in the heat, you can't walk upstairs, you'll just randomly faint because of blood flow issues. You're, you're dizzy a lot. It's, it's a, it's pretty severe. It's usually, it affects women, usually younger girls like teenage years, but if you get it when you're older, like you're kind of fucked, which is what happened to my mom and why she's had so many issues. But so this girl named Kimberly is, she has POTS, but she does skits as her cigarette mom. Her mom, both of her parents are dead, but she uses a straw and she acts like her mom did. And it's her way of therapy because she said, I had a horrible childhood. It was abusive. And my parent, my dad was a drunk, my mom was a drunk and they smoked constantly. But like she uses it as like therapy to not, she'd be like, I will never be this shitty person. Like my mom was. Yeah. Yeah. It's, it's kind of sad, but I have seen that. I mean, and that's, I thought about that as a kid. Like if I ever had children, I would be the kind of mom that I wanted as a kid. Cause I mean, for lots of reasons, your mom just didn't understand you, let alone have a good idea of how to, you know, raise you. But yeah, I was different. Yeah. Now, now that I'm diagnosed with autism, I look back at my life and I'm like, how in the fuck did people not know? Like my own self, my therapist knew two and a half years before I did. Yeah. Well, and they were pushing for it. They were asking to get a different diagnosis from the beginning. Yeah. I don't think you're bi -boliced. She keeps saying, I just, I don't think you're bi -boliced. Have you ever had a manic episode? No, never got the good stuff. When I was 19 and I had to leave it. We come to, we don't even think it was mania. We just think it was maybe a 19, a little out of control, a little party girl. It wasn't technically like, yeah. So I don't know. Yeah. You, you were just a, a monopolar instead of bipolar. Yeah. Monopole. Monopole. So any who, but yeah. But I think that people are kind of changing that and being better parents now, I hope, I mean, I know some people are still absolutely terrible parents. You know, so I think, uh, our kids' generation are going to be some of the most prepared parents. Well, yeah, I agree. No, but it's not just the most recent magazine that you may or may not have grabbed at the grocery store or picked up at the doctor's office. You know, like that's literally, you know, reading a book on how to raise your kid was like looked down on. Yeah. And, uh, you know, but with us, we've encouraged that kind of behavior and our children will, will encourage it even more. And it's because our world is fucked and our generation and the next generations are seeing that firsthand, how the people before us really screwed things up and not just financially. I'm not talking about economy and politics. I'm talking about mental health, mental health, ethics, the way we live life, the kind of human being you're supposed to be like, that is so much more important than learning some, you know, I wish that that was what was taught to people, like the common sense to be a decent human being that should have been health class. That should be other side of health. I mean, that should, I've always told my boys and you know, I know that you're, you're the same way, like being a good kind person and being nice to people is more important than being right or being really smart or, you know, having a lot of money. I mean, all those things are great, but at the end of the day, the kind of person you are when you go to bed at night is what really matters. I feel like, yeah, your happiness and how appreciative you are of your life or not. Cause it, that reflects outwards. So yeah, I want that for our kids and for people in general and for the future generations, for our grandkids and great grandkids. If we get there. Yeah. Or if the apocalypse comes. Yeah, fun, fun fact. When I was in like sixth, seventh grade, I was so obsessed with Buffy, the vampire Slayer and the apocalypse that I wasn't allowed to say the word in my own home for a few months. The word apocalypse or apocalypse. She, how often were boards banned for certain amounts of time? Like, what is that a regular thing? Yeah. How many words do you think got banned over the years? About 20. Oh yeah. How many of them do you remember? Exuberant. Oh, that's a weird one to say a lot. Five was five. Why your mom started banning words at five? I was younger. Oh gosh. I wasn't allowed to say, um, diaphragm. Oh God. Which I've probably, I may have told you about this. But when I was seven, I drew like a head and like a neck and a chest, like of a person and I drew body parts in it and I was labeling it because I wanted my own little like human poster of somebody. So I like copied it out of the world book and I went to show her and was explaining how your diaphragm works. And she told me that we didn't have a diaphragm in our body, that that was a word again. Who was that? My mother. Your mom. Yeah. Dang. And so that I wasn't allowed to say diaphragm exuberant because I, I looked it up in the dictionary and then I would use it all the time. Um, was your dad upset by these words? I don't think, no, I don't, I, he, he worked so much when I was little. Like, I don't remember him and I have been like a whole lot of heart to heart conversations. I get that. Um, I like, I don't remember what else it was. Lackadaisical. I wasn't allowed to say that for a while. Lackadaisical. And none of these were small words.

Bonnie Keating from Fairfax, 38 years old, was the top female finisher of the marathon running the 26 .2 miles in two hours, 50 minutes and 49 seconds. Shayna 405, a teenager accused of peddling guns in DC is arrested facing and several charges. In May, the DC Police Violent Crime Suppression Division started investigating after the 11th District learned someone was selling auto sear switches on social media. These are also known as Glock switches, transform which a semi -automatic pistol into a machine pistol. DC Police say undercover officers bought some switches. Investigators also found out the suspect was selling guns that he built and was selling magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammo. Those magazines are illegal to have in DC. The 17 -year -old of Northwest was arrested this past Thursday, charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and unregistered ammunition, among other charges. Liz Anderson, WTOP News. Dunbar High School students had to find something else to do last because night their school dance was canceled after a fight on Thursday. And Fox 5 reports one angry parent is calling for the head of the high school's athletic department to resign over that fight, which involved several of members the Dunbar High School football team. The parent who spoke with Fox 5 has a son on the team who was injured in fight the and she said he was frightened for his life. She's calling for a culture change at Dunbar. In a letter to parents, administrators say they have worked with staff to review surveillance footage and to identify the students involved and they're connecting with families about disciplinary action. A bag worth over a million dollars was seized at the airport, but there wasn't gold or cash inside. It was filled with ketamine, an animal tranquilizer that is often abused. U .S. Customs and Border Protection says it was on a flight to Dulles International from Cameroon earlier this month. It weighed nearly 46 pounds street value and of has a about 1 .3 million dollars. We are are learning that Prince William County planners are recommending against building a big digital data center near the Assis National Battlefield Park. The Digital Gateway Project would transform 2100 acres of homes and small farms into a sprawling data center. Inside Nova reports, county staff is recommending to the Planning Commission that it deny all three rezoning requests for the Digital Gateway. The Planning Commission will issue its recommendations November 8th. "A stabbing this morning. Montgomery County police say they were called to Springbrook High just before 1130 for the stabbing. Four boys have been involved in a fight inside a school. Bathroom police say one of them had a cut on his head, was taken to the hospitals expected to be okay. A 17 -year -old student was taken into custody. He is now charged with first degree assault and has been waiting on a bond hearing. The other two students involved in the fight were charged with second degree assault. 523, Today is Giving Tuesday and being unveiled at some Northern Virginia malls is a vending machine you can't miss. Inside each of these big red giving machines are cards with different needs in the community. And Nicole Granger with the Volunteers of America explains that on each card there's an item or service that a charity offers. Her organization is included in the giving machine at Boston Quarter in Arlington. Some of the cards that we have in the vending machine include things like youth mental health services because ever since COVID youth have been struggling. The machine from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day Saints includes a variety of organizations that benefit each time someone of God. The one at Boston Quarter is there through January 1st. Look at that. This is really gross, isn't it? Oh, it's like I'm like Frankenstein. There's no there's no like stitches or anything. Yeah. I had tennis elbow surgery. Funny story. Thought it was carpal tunnel surgery till the day before. And everyone was like, why are you having it done on your elbow? And I was like, I don't know. That's just where they want to do it. No, it's because it was tennis elbow surgery, not carpal tunnel surgery. The week before that I was at your house. Yes. Yes. No, I had surgery on the twenty eight. No, you're OK. I'm right. Yeah. The week before that I was at your house. The week before that, I don't even remember. You know, we did the event and then we did a couple. And then, you know, I think I was at the beach one week and I think you were somewhere. And I don't know, we were busy with family, you know, strong family months like July, August, December. We try not to, you know, we don't push ourselves to record. We don't push each other to record, which I think is nice. Well, I think that there's also another element that a lot of people don't really talk about. And I think that this is something that we would not have been able to do if we had advertisers or sponsorship in our show. So if you have advertising or sponsorship or have a community like a Patreon type of community that is based on ability your to create content, then you don't have this option. I'm just letting you know. Well, you do actually. I mean, you could you just have to tell people in advance when you're not free. Yes, this is true. You would have to plan. Yeah. You would have to pre plan and say you will get content from us 10 months out of the year or eight months out of the year or whatever. That's right. That's right. So, yeah. So we've been doing stuff. I had a good summer, but I mean, all the stuff I said I was going to do in June, like fix my house up and stuff like I didn't do any of that. I did not do one bit of that. I did a lot of sleeping like July was like, I don't know, I just slept so much that I thought something was wrong with me. I thought I had mono. That's how much I slept. Then I was suspicious that there was a carbon monoxide leak in my house that was causing me to be so tired all the time because I'm always that's what Jewish mothers do. They instantly think the worst. So it's like, I'm not tired. Something is slowly killing me, you know, like I'm getting as I have a stroke or something. So that wasn't the case. I guess I was just fucking tired and now I feel better. Yeah. And also, though, but I think it's very bizarre that you just said you were sleeping so much and now you're saying I can't sleep. It is. That's true. I told Elsie this morning, I mean, I have the worst dark circles. You see, I have makeup on them because it literally looks like I've been punched in the like face the last couple of nights I haven't slept. And it's because I've tried to go to bed early if I was just like, no, we're just going to go to bed at like twelve thirty one. It was fine. But as soon as I'm like, I have to go to bed like an hour and a half earlier, I'm panicked about whether or not I'll be able to do it. Then I toss and turn all night. It's a horrible cycle. But hopefully it's just an adjustment and I'll get used to it because the other part is like school is an hour earlier than camp. So I have to get up earlier as well. It makes a huge difference, that one hour. And then God forbid, you know, if if school and daylight savings came at the same time, like I would need a coffin to sleep in, like I would just like become a vampire. It would be the worst. Thank God I get a break from that before before it all begins, before it all starts, before the DST. Anyway, what about you? You just came back from podcast movement. I did. I mean, I just came back as in like almost a month ago, like three. It's almost three weeks. It literally has been almost three weeks. Yes. It's looking back and I go, oh, my God. Oh, my God. Time is going by so fast, because like even right now, if I if I look at that, it's three weeks ago. You're right. Be like, it's I'm telling you, it's really it's going by really fast. Yeah. Yeah. I was there. It's like one week. And then, yeah, so right now it's going to be that this is starting the third week. So I remember what I was doing before and after I visited you. Isaac had the chicken pox. That's right. Even though he's vaccinated. Yes, that's right. He had a pretty disgusting case, I must say, of the chicken pox. Yeah. Because Emily had it, too. She had been vaccinated and it was like four things that we were just like, they don't look like bug bites. But but this was like a rash from like armpit to hip on one side. It was ridiculous. Anyway, I won't talk about that more because it was revolting. But yeah, it's been a weird summer. But good. I'm happy to be back. And I'm excited to be recording with you today because we have all kinds of things that happened this summer. Yeah. And we may as well just jump right on into it. What are we waiting for? I don't know. Let's do it. I know. But wait, I just have to say your T -shirt. Did you wear that for me? I love the Muppets. You do know that, right? I love this T -shirt. It's my favorite. So 17 years old, you have to remember this kid has never experienced the benefits of the positives when Venezuela was a free country. Like he doesn't, like you talked to a 45 year old or a 50 year old Venezuelan. They're like, Oh my God, we lost our country. They lost their country when they were 20 or 30. He's fighting to survive the whole time. Yeah. Yeah. He knows breaking into a zoo to try to get the, that's right. That's what he knows. Right. That's the life he knows. So now you're taking that kid. Now you're putting him in New York city. What life does he know? What, what marketable skills does he have outside of eating out of a dumpster? Well, let me be fair. When you're, when your entire face is a tattoo, you've got very few things that you can do. Very few, very few. I'm not saying there's not things that you can't do because I'm sure there's all kinds of labor, but you're, you're basically wiping yourself out from half the workforce at that point. So here's your choice as an 18 year old El Salvadorian or Venezuelan, right? You can work in a construction job, make good money, 80, 90, $100 ,000 a year, pay 20 ,000 or more of that to the federal government. So you end up with half by time you're done. Or you can get involved in one of these new, uh, uh, organized gangs that are popping up in these major cities where they're targeting luxury homes and breaking in. They're also targeting luxury yachts and they're stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars that they fence on the black market and you can make the same $100 ,000 except there's no taxes. There's no, there's no filing of anything and you're seeing these things. You're seeing these criminal gangs organized criminal crime syndicates that are actually now moved here and are setting up in major cities across the country. Yeah. They, they actually set up the online campaigns, right? So you can see it all, you know, they'll show you how it all plays out, right? They'll loot five stores. Uh, you were, you were saying something about the yachts and the big homes. Here's what's happening folks. This is what happens, right? Now, the other, the, it's funny, I sent you this morning, Starbucks closing seven downtown San Francisco stores. So we already know that Walmart's closing in, in all those places. Target's closing and all these places, the San, the, the, uh, the Starbucks are closing, so they have nothing left to rob. Now in some of these they've got it out, they've basically got it out. San Francisco, right? So where are you going to move? The Starbucks to where the money is. The Starbucks went from sensitivity training. Remember five years ago, they had a, they had a, they had a black guy loitering in the place, harassing customers that they called the police on. It ended up being a major, it was racism. They shut down all the stores across the country. Remember? And then they, then they opened up a policy of anybody can use their bathroom, even homeless people policy. Then they had to walk that back. And now they're all close. Now they're all close. Now they're just throwing them in the towel. His question this morning, Mike was, will they ever get it? And I said, Mike, I said, I know I've used this analogy a million times, but I think it's so, so very true. If you look at the school systems that they've run and they've gone from 80, 90, a hundred percent graduation rates to 90 to 80 to 70 to 60, you would think at some point along the way that they would have been smart enough to figure it out. Now they're at 40%. And, and literally a hamster could graduate, right? I mean, if the hamster shows up in the classroom, that's a 40%, you move on. Right. So to answer the question, I don't think they're going to figure this out. I think the only way it happens truly is you have a structured bankruptcy and the social programs go away and you're going to have massive, I mean, really, truly, you're going to have hubs that are, that are Iraqi, you know, war zones and yeah, I mean, it's going to get worse. By the way, those war zones are going to get worse and worse and worse. The drug will get worse. And, and the, and the communities outside of that, if you've got a structured bankruptcy and they're not paying for the social garbage anymore and the free welfare, they'll be able to have the good police officers. They'll be able to have the good walls, right? The property values will be expensive, but the Democrats want those same crime, places, you know, subsidize housing. They want them in your neighborhood. They want them in Lancaster. They want them in Alma. That's what they want. To that point this week, they, they are now issuing vouchers. So you can, and those vouchers by the way, are not meant to say you stay right where you are in this inner city. That's already a piece of shit. You take this voucher and you give it to the landlord out in the suburbs and we'll pay your rent. Right. And now it puts a landlord in a tough position. Okay. Well, I can get guaranteed rent with these vouchers. Right. What if you don't take it? What if you don't take it? You're going to get accused of discrimination. You're going to get, you're going to get investigated by our very fair and honest attorney general in New York state. Of course not. That's right. You think about this though, Mike. So in Minnesota, we had the council woman, remember that, that was, he advocated for no police. Remember? And then she was carjacked in her driveway and violently assaulted. And she's on camera after with, you know, bloody head going, I can't believe this happened to me. You advocated for no police. Right. They're the first ones, by the way, trying to get their phone for 911. That's right. First ones, New York City officers, New York City, left wing advocate, right? Activist, uh, stabbed to death, right? Activist, left wing act to no police, no bail, bail with doing all the things at the left. When I said left wing activists, these activists, let's talk about what they support. They support no bail because that's not fair. Right. They think that criminals are, are, are, you know, mistreated. So they want them back out in the streets. Right. They want less police because police are the problem. Right. I mean, you know, I don't, do they get it? No. And then just yesterday or two days ago, you had a Democrat, a politician, carjacked at gunpoint in DC. That's right. It's insanity. In DC. In DC. You cannot, you're not safe in DC. Right. Where the, where the white house is. The Capitol. Right. Right. The Capitol. It's a crap hole. You know why? Because it was run by people like Mariel Bowser for years. Right. It was run by corrupt left wing politicians. Right. And to ask if they're totally getting rid of cashless bail in states like this, they're doubling down. There's been no conversation about that. He's not talked about that. Kathy Hochul. I mean, honest to God, talk about a narcissistic moron. I mean, she's saying, get this kid rescued. Thank God. Thank God. Hats off to the, to the state troopers and the police to put this together a great job and returning this child. Kathy Hochul, all the press stuff she does. There's not one picture of the family. It's all about her. Everything. Prescott. I promised a family. I'd get them back. Really? How could you possibly do that? Which is totally untrue, but she made this whole episode. Instead of praising the police and the good job that she made this whole thing about her. How great she was. Unbelievable. She is truly stupid. I think the guy had a rap sheet too. I think he was the guy, by the way, the guy that got stabbed in New York city, I bet Mike, he's like a red stripe. I said, we're both down in Florida. You know, that way we both win. This guy, when they find this guy and they'll find him, he'll have a rap sheet as well. He will have been out on jail multiple times. He probably has already stabbed somebody. This is probably isn't his first stabbing. Why, by the way, why, by the way, we're not outraged and getting rid of knives is beyond me. You can't defend yourself. I don't know. Where did that stabbing happen? That was Philadelphia, I believe. Was that New York city? Oh, stabbing was in Brooklyn. That's right. Something else happened in New York city. Oh, a lady got hurt with, uh, uh, uh, you know, hoodlums on motorcycles. A woman with two children got her back window smashed. And when they jumped out of her car, got out to confront the guy, he pulls a gun. She doesn't stop, backs him down and protects her kids. The problem though is, if you are living in one of these left -wing cities, you have to get out. You have to get out. This guy, let's say if he wanted to defend himself for two nights ago and took out a gun. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe now, maybe not because he's been a left -wing Democrat and he's a registered Democrat. So I'm sure, I'm sure that would go a long way. Was he gay? Yeah. Was he trans with the, what card did he hold? I don't know. He's got to have something because I think that, I think the perpetrator was black. Was he not? It's not, yes. You're saying it's not just good enough to be a Democrat anymore. You got to take it one level higher. You gotta have something. You gotta be something else. You gotta be an acrobat, you know, lesbian, you know, underwater free diver. I don't know. It's just, it's just so this preposterous. It really, stuff that they come up with. Another three here in Western New York, and three Colombian nationals this week charged with burglizing Amherst residents. See, this is the problem though. You know, you have to question this morning with Mike Hayflick. Coming to the suburb, a suburb near you. It's coming to a suburb near you. You're going to watch very quickly these left -wing folks that have voted Democrat, although I'm not sure that a little brains are going to get it, but you're going to find very quickly how we're going to go from an all loving open -armed community to whoa, whoa. And even Kathy Hochul's like, don't come, don't come here. We're full. We're full. Open arms, a statue of Liberty, something along, welcome everybody, blah, blah, blah. As Joe would say, you know, which wasn't the truth, by the way, Ellis Island, you had to go through, you know, I've been reading up and really started learning about a lot of the history of our immigration policy. Agree to learn English, sponsored by family. You had to go through, you know, testing to make sure you weren't sick. If you were sick, if you came, if you got off the boat and you exhibited open sickness, you got back on the boat and you were shipped back or, or you were quarantined. Interestingly enough, throughout the turn of the century, we had very strict quotas of countries that we allowed people to come in from. We had countries that were literally blacklisted. We were not allowing certain countries like African countries to emigrate, immigrate, I should say United States progressives, by the way, liberal progressives at the turn of the 19th century were the ones that put those policies in place. So again, you know, it's amazing how, when you look at actual and understand actual history and you see how things really flipped, you know, it's really two things, by the way, that, that changed this in a big way, right? Number one was these feet. People did not come in here and get massive amounts of welfare, right? They went right to work. There was no welfare. They agreed to learn English. They agreed to acclimate into the school systems, right? Number one, number two, we actually had a criminal justice system back then that actually put criminals in jail, right? So if you came over here and you did something stupid, you were going to jail. You were not getting out on cashless bail. Welfare wasn't waiting for you on the other side, a very different system than where we are today. And it could have impacted your entire family. Your family had to vouch for you coming over. We had a family oriented immigration policy that really stressed. So if you had family over here already and you were, let's say in Italy or you were in France or whatever, and you wanted to immigrate to the United States, you had a much higher probability of being able to get to the United States and, and, and meet, you know, get underneath that quota. But from, from, from a, a good chunk from world war, you know, about turn of the century through the great depression, we had very little immigration in this country. And it's amazing. I look at like my grandparents that came from Italy. I'm surprised they were able to get in, but it came, you know, my grandparents and then they brought over a few more family members, but most of them were still in Italy. They, they stayed over there. So just interesting if you really understand the policy and you understand history, and I wish they would teach more of this on who was responsible for what. But yeah, while they're removing all that. Yeah. Speaking of karma though, we've mentioned karma earlier and we got to talk about Kevin McCarthy and Carmageddon. I mean, I hope that the Republicans take notice that this is what happens when you cut a deal with the Democrats. Cause that's what he did, right? He cut a deal with the Democrats. Some of them are not getting it still though. Newt Gingrich I saw last night. Newt, I love you man. But he's on Fox. So he goes, I think this is a bad idea. I'm like, this guy is exactly why people like you and I McCarthy never give a goddamn penny to the Republican. And that's exactly why we don't show up for the benefits anymore. We don't show up because it's, it's, it's total. We are $33 trillion in debt with a clock, by the way, that is literally smoking. It's going so fast. You can't even see the numbers flip anymore. It's just a blur. It's just a blur.

them aired the first episode January of 2017 this is Ian Trottier here and today we are going to start talking if you are not familiar with the name Charlotte Iserbit she passed away about a year and a half ago she's a former advisor to the Department of Education under Ronald Reagan her story is very interesting and captivating because she talks about having received a list of these Skull and Bones members via mail that was sent to her father who was a Skull and Bones member at Yale and Anthony Sutton was hot on that trail so two names that you should familiarize yourself with and that is Charlotte Charlotte's work and that is the deliberate dumbing down of America she talks about the invasion of the American education system and that having been formalized under Jimmy Carter back in 1979 Department of Education so she talks about that through her book and then also what I was talking about was Anthony Sutton calling her being hot basically on the trail of dissecting the corruption that is it's really manipulation because Ella Hugh Yale was a major stockholder a main president of the British East Indies trading company that is a Rothschild controlled trading company and the Rothschild funded the American Revolution so I may be off here ladies and gentlemen but if you look at the flag that was flown above the John Paul Jones excuse me the USS Alfred commandeered by John Paul Jones on the Delaware that basically started the American Revolution that flag is basically identical to the British East Indies company flag and then that you trace that and you go back to Cambridge Massachusetts and something called the flag committee which is Continental Congress approved Washington Franklin adopted what became the first flag of the United what became known as the United States and that was the US Grand Union flag which as being designed by Betsy Ross that is the US Grand Union flag which is identical to the British East Indies company flag because that is where the financing came to fund Washington's army and then you ask well wait a second that's English and well yeah this it is English but it's not English because London the city of London is not technically part of England it is its own banking it's sovereign nation a Roman banking colony still in existence these are all facts and you can cross -check them but anyway so seek and destroy you're you've excellent hi Stevie so thanks for for joining the the the show and please give listeners an introduction to who you are Gloria you can start tell listeners who you are what you what you do and then and then Stevie you can do the same please I try to destroy a young conservative and I also did a nonprofit the name of it is United Women Foundation what we do is mentor employ aid and young conservative women who are in Stevie's situation and we also give out scholarships to conservatives who are not in need of a scholarship but who are conservatives and who are promoting the conservative agenda in their lives thank you Gloria and that's United Women Foundation calm I'll go ahead and put a link to that in the episode Stevie go ahead and introduce yourself for us please well thank you very much for having us on my name is Stevie Giorno and I serve as the chairman of the Tennessee Young Republicans and I am the former student body president at Belmont University where I was attacked by the radical left for being proud of my country and being proud to be an American on the 4th of July in 2020 during the as a mother for protecting your your family and your country I've looked at the website I've looked a little bit about both of you and what's interesting is you have been you've come my way and your stories come my way through a contact there in Florida and your Stevie your story is daughter went through something very similar and in her university classes but Stevie go ahead and tell us a little bit about about what you experienced you were the student body president at Belmont University yet you were attacked for your political views isn't that right picture of myself in front of the White House and I captioned it that I was proud to be an American and I thanked those who had sacrificed and served so that we may have the freedoms and liberties that our forefathers intended for us and within 24 hours my fraternity was blackmailing me threatening to label me a racist and remove me from the fraternity there were hundreds of comments on my Instagram post and there were hundreds of signatures on a change .org petition that sought to remove me as the duly elected student body president even though I was elected unanimously with almost 99 98 % of the vote and so it was really bad that students friends of mine my fraternity brothers wanted to attack me because I was proud to be from this country you know my grandparents escaped from communism in Yugoslavia and my mother lived there for a year so I've heard the first -hand horrors of what happens in a communist country and I fear that our country is headed that way every single day. Now what's interesting is one of the articles that I that I went through briefly was is written by Campus Reform it's published on an online newsletter called Campus Reform and one of the stories that they have today actually talks about glorifying Che you Guevara know this is a this is a socialist figure that that helped with the with the cubist Cuban communist revolution and Fidel Castro you're you're talking about your family having come from communist Yugoslavia are you seeing are you seeing Stevie in in in in your experience on on campus now I don't know what you're doing now maybe you graduated you can bring us up to date with where you at right now but are you seeing some of these same the same signs that that perhaps your mother or your grandparents were talking about that were that were red flags for for communism growing within the country are you seeing that experiencing that I do and I think unfortunately it is getting worse specifically at Belmont University they refused the school is refusing to allow a turning point USA chapter on campus I think it it's it's it's awful it's an infringement on our First Amendment right to freedom of speech and freedom of belief to protest to assemble and so it's really unfortunate what's going on with with colleges and universities I graduated in the spring of 2021 but I have heard of the horror stories happening at private Christian schools so -called Christian schools happening across the country and until students and parents and grandparents begin to see what is happening you know the first step to solving a problem is acknowledging it exists and it's there and it's not going to get better until enough conservative students and parents realize that they need to stop funding the indoctrination machines of universities and change course well it's very brave of you to say that glory I want want to get your your view and and and I want to first first say this I opened this show up before I brought you on with talking about somebody named Charlotte Iserbyt and I'm happy to send you her link to her book it's called the deliberate dumbing down of America what she did was she started dissecting what was happening under the Reagan administration with the attack on the indoctrination that we're seeing fruits of today a few decades later but Gloria did you did you ever expect or suspect that something like this might happen to your son I I he gets into college were there any anything anything happening up to that time where he's now the student body president of Belmont University anything before that that you were that you questioned well you know hey they he might he might need to defend himself or was this a complete surprise to you it was a complete surprise there was absolutely nothing the handbook the literature the online documentation about Belmont University everything fit a conservative Christian agenda there was nothing I mean personally I think it's a bait and switch but there was absolutely nothing I was friends with some of the professors who are conservatives at Belmont or who were conservatives at Belmont and we had spoken for two years before Stevie made the decision to go there and no there was not any kind of indication that anything like this would happen now we would never allowed our son to want to go to a school where he would have been threatened for his beliefs I mean he had been working for Republican candidates since he was 17 years old so it was out in the open it's on his LinkedIn it's public so no I mean we we were told on every tour we were told at every meeting that this was a fully free campus there would be no harassment it was Christian it was conservative and I read the handbook and Stevie followed all the guidelines when these things did start to occur he did follow all the guidelines he followed all the rules he turned everything into administration and they did nothing absolutely nothing and Stevie yeah go ahead to this day they have not responded in any way shape or form nothing and this has been three years now so you have not gotten a formal response from the school administration Stevie you're simply in DC taking a photograph outside the White House expressing your gratitude for the country and the values that it stands for did you ever suspect this type of backlash coming from the because he knew that if he spoke out against them that they would send him to a camp where he'd never be heard from again and really that whole year of 2020 was either you agree with everything we're saying you endorse the BLM organization but we're gonna do everything we can to destroy you and in fact because Tennessee is a single -party consent state that means you can record conversations with only one person knowing I did record those conversations with my fraternity which my mom put into her book and in those conversations my fellow friends my fraternity brothers say if you do not apologize for your post if you do not endorse this group we're gonna do whatever it takes to destroy you and your career and your reputation so it's a more mild form of what happens in communist countries but because these students were not held accountable it is only going to get worse and worse and it did I mean there was one instance where a female student who worked at a fast -food restaurant I would go to for my breakfast in the mornings she admitted in the official College Democrat group text that she was putting quote gross stuff in my drinks every single day because I was a an awful conservative who loved this country and one endorsed the BLM organization and the school guess what the school did when I turned her in what did they do they accepted her into Belmont law school you gotta be kidding me I'm serious 100 % she was rewarded for attacking a political opponent and I think that's dangerous as we see what's going on with President Trump he is being attacked because he's leading in the polls and it's truly unfortunate that we're becoming a banana republic yeah did the did she make you sick with whatever she put in the drinks and we couldn't even get the Nashville police who are unfortunately very short staff due to the liberal City Council and the liberal mayor at the time unfortunately they were they were unable to investigate it because I was perfectly fine thankfully but they said since there was no lasting issues that they refused to investigate and then the school accepted this girl into law school with full knowledge of everything she had done struck so it it shows the systemic problem we're having and imagine if this is happening in a conservative Christian private university in Nashville Tennessee one of the most conservative states imagine what's going on in all 49 other states we don't have the ability to record conversations and to take screenshots of texts and emails and and have such transparency I mean it's terrifying to think what's happening in these other colleges yeah very well said Stevie tell us about that book and tell us about how tell us about how it's been received my husband and I we want to speak out on this we want people to know I need parents and grandparents to know what their children and yes very teen but there still are children what they face and what they are up against when they go away to school we need for parents to fight back we need for parents to take a stand if 40 % of students stopped attending their respective universities you know that the agenda at universities with administration would change so we as conservatives we have that title of being silent majority because usually we are silent well Stevie and I wanted to change that hence the book I use I feel that the book is an educational tool for parents learn from what happened to my son learn from the experience that we've had we went to this university many times it's not far from our home we investigated it we knew people who worked there who taught there and never once did we feel that it was going to be a threat to our son and look what happened so whatever you're seeing I dread to think what's going on at public schools I just dread but I want parents to learn learn read the book you'll see everything is documented in there as my son said fortunately we're able to record and we're able to use everything for information but we need for parents to be more active in their students and their children's educations even when they are at college because they are all indoctrination facilities I did live in a communist country I went to first grade in Zagreb which was then Yugoslavia in 1972 and I can tell you that on my way to school my walk to school every morning I had 1 ,000 US dollars in my backpack I knew if civil unrest broke out at the age of six I knew how to get out of Yugoslavia get into a cab that was waiting for me at the end of the hill and that cab driver would take me to the border of Yugoslavia in Italy where one of my aunts would meet me and my parents would come when they were able I also knew the police officer on the corner he wasn't there for me he wasn't there to make sure that I'd be safe or anybody else he was definitely there to protect the communist regime and Josip Tito who was the dictator at the time and the parallels that I saw with what I experienced living in a communist country and what my son endured at Belmont University it's there if it's clear as day and I want to enlighten everyone who wants to hear from me I want all parents to know this is happening in our country now too we are being silenced and shut down the title of the book folks is outcast how the radical left tried to destroy a young conservative and that is Stevie so Stevie was this a the attack on you was this coming from the BLM movement at Belmont University or in Nashville have you identified the nucleus of where this attack came from okay so let me ask you a broader question we saw during the Trump Tifa uprisings mainly Seattle Portland but obviously across the country Chicago New York but that coincided with this this COVID -19 virus outbreak as a as a university student you've now graduated but Stevie were you were you drawing any parallels to either of these things happening during the Trump administration that seemingly linked to a communist revolt within the country does that making sense were you able to draw any connect any dots Stevie we know from history that it usually doesn't work that way and the government's gonna keep taking more and more of our rights and when you couple that with what is happening what did happen in 2020 with with the riots and people getting away with committing crimes to where if you and I or anyone else who was a conservative did burn down a courthouse like they did in Nashville or protest and kill innocent people in the streets we would go to jail however because they were advancing a political movement that the liberal district attorneys in big cities supported they were let go and they were not punished like they should have been like we would have been so the hypocrisy is terrible I think it does parallel communism to where you know if you remember the black shirts Mussolini's black shirts taking control of the Italian government because they were the advancing political agenda and movement that the powers that be wanted them to they were able to harass and intimidate people into supporting them and I fear that our country is going that way and we need people to stand up now if we're ever hoping to take back our country and get it back on the right track and under control Gloria the book is recently published it looks like it was just published last month and you've got us forward by Sam Sorbo how's the reception of the book been so far what are people saying who have you spoke to about it how is it being received lot Gloria a of media outlets that are reaching out to us I'm being asked to speak almost on a daily basis different organizations different groups Stevie and I have traveled to a lot of different states throughout the country and we will continue to be touring and we are I have started a conversation and parents are now extending that conversation with their friends and that is the goal we need to start with one person talking to another and now the growth has been exponential it's incredible the book is selling very well it's available on Amazon and wherever books are sold but from what I have witnessed and the calls I am getting yes it is and I mean if we as conservatives don't speak up we're gonna be done this is it and if America Falls there is nowhere else to go and our children are being indoctrinated I don't care what level of schooling it's that they're being indoctrinated on every single level and if parents do not set a strong foundation in the household when the child is born and continue that throughout a child's life when they go to college always we will not be America any longer so the book is being well received I do have parents who have reached out to me and who have asked me questions likewise I do have some haters but that's how I know I'm making a difference because the hate is there as well yeah absolutely well said it's like when you went once you're censored you know that you're putting up the correct information on the online right Stevie are you concentrating on any particular campuses as you tour the country you point of a Christian organization and unfortunately they they canceled the meeting that was going to happen at Belmont and so been trying to help the students out there at Belmont but really I think the key thing is getting in front of as many young people as possible who are conservative and letting them know that they're not alone that the hardships they're going through have happened before and they're gonna happen again and we've got to stand up tall for what we believe in and we can't be scared of people saying mean things about us or what people put on social media or what they may say to us we've got to stand up for what we believe in if there's any chance of saving our country thank you very much let me ask you this question Gloria as we as we wind down and then I want to give each of you an opportunity to leave listeners with some final words and thoughts but Gloria as somebody who's lived in a communist country and it sounded like you did at least one year schooling their first grade what's happening right now to the border of your country what's happening down there they believe they have freedom and to an extent they do and I equate it to when I speak I speak to a lot of young people because young people are what United Women Foundation is mostly about and so when I speak I they look at me very oddly when I tell my story but what I have found that works very well is I bring up a lion at a zoo and he's in a zoo he's caged his needs are met he has food he has shelter he has water he has medical attention and it's all for free but he is still in that cage but he is able to roam in that cage correct and then we have the next picture a lion picture lion in Wyoming in Montana anywhere in this country roaming freely that lion bends for himself he finds his own food he finds his own shelter he finds his own water he takes care of himself that lion is independent to me that is the difference that is the bottom line that is the difference between communism and America that is the difference between our constitution is that lion that is roaming free throughout this country and that's what we are right now so that is something that I think resonates with young people and I I believe that putting it in a perspective of a picture like that they are beginning to understand a little bit I hope at least I mean I don't know right now what I'm seeing is a lot of people have said we cannot have an opinion because we have not experienced it which truly breaks my heart my family in Croatia thinks that they are free in effect my family basically is a caged lion yeah incredible and and let me review what is happening right now at the southern border in in the U .S.

A highlight from Saved by Grace - Ed Nelson Biography
"Well, greetings everyone. I'm here today with Emily Nelson, a 2016 BJU graduate, somebody I very much want you to meet. She has some exciting things to tell you and I pray that you will hang on with us for just a little while, maybe eight or ten minutes, and be blessed by what Emily has to say. She has written a biography of her grandfather, Dr. Ed Nelson, a graduate of BJU. I've known Dr. Nelson since I was really young. He's a few years older than I am, so you can imagine how ancient he really is, but you'd never know it. He's as energetic as he was when I first knew him. I've never met a man so restless for the cause of Christ and the gospel than Dr. Ed Nelson. Emily, thank you for taking your time to be with us. Thank you for having me. I want a quick question to get into this. Why should anybody want to read about your grandfather, Ed Nelson? Well, I'm biased for sure because it's my grandfather, but he really has had a remarkable life, and it's a life full of the miraculous, a life full of just believing God and expecting him to work. And I know as I helped him write this book, it was a real challenge to my own faith just to believe God at his word and to expect him to work. My grandfather, who loved your grandfather very much, as did my dad and as do I, my grandfather said, every great man at some point comes under the dominating influence of some great truth. What would you say is that dominant truth that gripped your grandfather when he was young and that kind of drove him through his life of ministry? I'd say it was probably this. I am a sinner, and I have a great savior, and I want to do everything I possibly can to further his kingdom because of what he's done for me. That's very well put, and I think it absolutely describes what propelled him through life. He was always in motion. I've never met him when he was not just like a meteor crossing the sky. His energy was remarkable. I've been with him on some long mission trips, and no moss ever grew under his feet. The title of the book is A Sinner Saved by Grace, so that was a good description. Tell me about the time, the point in life, when he became a grace -saved sinner. What was he doing at the time? What influence did God bring into his life that got his attention and brought him to Christ? Well, he grew up on a farm in Windsor, Colorado, which is a little bit north of Denver. He had aspirations of being a great farmer just like his dad was. When he was 17 years old, he was in a farming accident. They were a very moral family, and his dad would take them to church every Sunday, but it was not a Bible preaching church. When he was in that accident, the doctors said he wouldn't make it through the night. He prayed and said, God, if there even is a God, I want you to hear my prayer, and I want you to save my life. If you do, if I live, then I'll get a Bible and I'll read it. Well, he made it. Spoiler alert. He made it, but he did get a Bible, but he didn't understand it until about four years later, your grandfather, actually, Dr. Bob Sr., was preaching at the First Baptist Church in Fort Collins, and his mailman came by and invited him to the revival meetings. He didn't really want to go, but out of respect for the mailman and his testimony, he was like, fine, I'll go. So he went that first night, and your grandfather preached and said that he was a sinner and that he deserved to die. It made him so angry that he found that he would never go back. Well, the next day on the tractor out on the field, he was like, I wonder what he's going to preach about that would make me mad again. And so he went back, and that happened four nights. And on the fourth night, he was like, you know what? What this man is saying is true, and it's not, I haven't been angry at him. I've been angry at God because I know that this is truth. And so he surrendered his life, and he came to know the Lord that evening. And I asked him when I was writing the book with him, I said, Grandpa, what were you saved from? And he was like, I was saved from my own goodness, because he was such a good moral person. He was saved from his own goodness, and he said that he knew deep down inside that there were things that he would think or say or look at that were not godly. And nobody else knew it, but that's what he was saved from. From that point in time, his life changed forever. The self -righteous sinner may be the hardest sinner to open his heart to the Lord.

I've got to start with this one, Mike. This is top of mind for local Western New York, of course, as they continue to shift migrants from one hotel to another. You brought up a great point in the Morning Mike's podcast this morning when we were live and you mentioned that they're not putting any of these migrants, interestingly enough, in inner city hotels. No. It seems like they'd have the space, but yet they don't seem to want to put these migrants in a downtown hotel. If you remember correctly, I believe this is the Democrats' version of equity. You folks in Amherst are living way too well. Your houses are too nice, your crime rate is too low, your schools are too good, they're too successful, your grades are too high, your graduation rates are way too high. That can't be. And so what they tried to do initially was they wanted to pass Section 8 housing they were going to put in every single community. Still trying. Still trying. If you don't like that... What is that? Is that me? Sorry. If you don't like that... That is good theme music for you, though. It is perfect, yeah. But if you don't like the Section 8 housing in your community and you're going to try to shoot that down, which many communities did, well, now what is going to bring in these migrants and these asylum seekers, right? Look, here's the deal. Some people, I get it, like Venezuelans, we stopped helping them in their own country because apparently now we believe socialism is good, but yet these people are starving, they do need help. But this is a headline that I wanted to read to you, Mike. This is crazy. These countries need to help themselves, right? When you look at Venezuela as an example, which was one of the most prosperous areas in the world. They've got all the natural resources. It was all about free market capitalism and that allowed them to be able to have a very clean Venezuela, a very prosperous Venezuela, and what happened? Well, they wanted big government, they wanted social programs, and within 10 years all the jobs went away, all the social programs are now shit because they can't afford them. Oh, and guess what? It's filthier than it's ever been. And they destroyed other industries. They destroyed their industry. Everything these left -wing radicals touched turns to crap. That's right. Venezuela... That's right. Venezuela was the richest country in South America. There's no question. They were the wealthiest country. They had the second largest known oil reserves in the world and the government took over the oil reserves and destroyed every industry they touched, from oil to healthcare to then they moved on to banking. A million percent inflation. Crazy. But here's a headline I wanted to read to you. And not a headline. This is from WIVB and this is a quote from our illustrious Amherst town supervisor, Brian Kolpa. Just as UB students come and go throughout the year, just as hundreds, if not thousands of people come in and out of Amherst on a regular basis, whose name we don't know, who pass through this town, this is no different. This is a response to a contentious town hall meeting that they had last night in Amherst where a lot of residents came out and said... Those are legal people that roam in and out, not illegal people that roam in and out. You're making a comparison. Let's be honest here. You're making a comparison with an 18 -year -old college kid coming in to go to college. Whose parents? You're going to compare that with somebody that you just plucked out of a refugee camp in Somalia. Could be an MS -13 gang member. Seriously. You're going to compare that to somebody who we have no idea if he murdered his last girlfriend. We're just hearing that in headlines lately. We have a fugitive running loose. A 17 -year -old girl whose parents are very well educated and are now paying $20 ,000 a year to have that student there. Compared to the El Salvadorian gang member, an MS -13. Good comparison, Brian. That's reasonable. We let 50 of them into Erie County. We had two rapes. We had multiple felonies. So you're looking at least a 2 to 3 to 4 percent conversion rate. We know at least 4 to 5 percent of these folks have caused major crimes. Brian, those are not the stats.

"Alright Acts chapter 13, let's stand for the reading of God's word. We'll look at verses 1 through 3. Acts chapter 13 verses 1 through 3, the word of God says, Now there were in the church that was the Antioch certain prophets and teachers as Barnabas and Simeon that was called Niger and Lucius of Cyrene and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch and Saul. And as they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed and they laid their hands on them, they sent them away. And let's pray. Lord, thank you for the truth in your scriptures, we're going to look at this even help us to in the world, as individuals, as a church, and Lord, may we find a cause that is greater than ourselves, that pulls us out of bed and towards a worthy goal. We pray you'd speak to our hearts tonight in Christ's name, Amen. You may be seated. So tonight I want to give you a Bible study on this subject and you'll see how it helps our church but also applies to each one of us. And that is that in the scriptures, we see that churches plant churches, churches plant churches. In Acts chapter 13, there's a lot of different ways we could go with this. But we see the church here at Antioch, which was a prominent church, really became the prototypical church of the time after the persecution pushed believers outside of Jerusalem and they scattered, taking the gospel with them. The church at Antioch became just a powerhouse of Christianity and sending missionaries and soul winners in the local community, missionaries around the region there. And in this case, we find them sending out some more folks. They had a lot of wonderful ministers there. By ministers, that just means a servant of the Lord. We think often of a minister as one who is a professional or has a position. But the words use two ways. A minister can just be a servant. A minister, capital M, can be like a pastor, an evangelist, something like that. But they obviously had a lot of mature Christians doing a mighty work. And verse 2 says these people were busy serving the Lord, they were fasting, they were seeking the Lord, they were seeking His power, they were consumed with doing the work of the Lord. Let me just remind you that you don't have to be a pastor to serve the Lord. You don't have to be a missionary or an evangelist to serve the Lord. The truth is every Christian is a servant of the Lord. You say, well, I'm an accountant, I'm a construction worker, I'm a driver, I'm a this, I'm a that. Well, that may be what you do to provide for your family, but it shouldn't be who you are. That should not be the limit of who you are. And never forget that we should always get up to make a difference, not just get up to make a living. If you get in the habit of just getting up to make a living, that gets old real fast. But if you get in the habit of waking up and your profession might be X, but your purpose is Christ and your identity is Christ, and that's a powerful way to live. And so we must never forget that. But as these men were serving the Lord, the Holy Ghost said, separate me, Barnabas and Saul. This is the call of God. Sometimes God will call specific people to a certain work outside of the church. As a young man, 17 -year -old man at Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Jasonville, Indiana, the Holy Ghost said, separate me, Paul Chapman. And God put on me the call to become a full -time preacher and a pastor.

On Saturday night 14 year old Ray John Harshaw was found shot to death near South Cragier and East 87th Place. The teen's family says Ray John was a straight A student set to begin his freshman year at Hyde Park High School. Then just a few hours later two teenagers were shot at a North Austin park. One of them 17 year old Ashanti's Wilburn was killed. Wilburn's spoke father with ABC 7. He took my first, my heart, my love, my everything. Over what? Wilburn was supposed to begin her senior year at today Shures High School. Grief counselors are available at both victims schools today to help with anyone who might need assistance. Cicero residents are continuing to deal with the aftermath of severe flooding that hit in July. Nick Gale has more. Community members spoke up at a rally at Morton Community College over the weekend. It was in response to President Biden approving FEMA funds and help, but about 30 ,000 undocumented Cicero residents aren't eligible for that support. Organizers say that severe flooding is a near yearly event in Cicero and they want the government to do more to prevent it. deadline The to apply for federal aid is October 16th. LA area Los Angeles area well yeah it's east of LA okay so what's going on with your animals I have the entire dream team here for you well it's kind of a weird situation I have a 17 year old in their cat has been indoor ever since my girlfriend and her son got it okay the outdoor cat I rescued it it was growing up in a while somebody dumped it off and for about a year year and a half or so it was living with raccoons oh my and then there was a couple other couple other people I guess were jumping cats off and how this cat got the one I have now got caught in a cage and went went berserk it got got an affection and hearing a society out in Pomona California and so I went down and I rescued it I nursed it back to health and it's the most horrible cat that you have ever seen Wow it's on the bed on the pillows or always tries to bathe me oh that's wonderful so what's going on with these guys Jim what's your problem well I see bumps every now and then I don't see fleas or ticks or anything and they haven't been scratching up like a zoo okay all right do they have any sores on their bodies well I see bumps I can feel bumps but when I look it could be sores but I think it's from them scratching or biting or picking on themselves okay all righty so if we see little small bumps or feel them on cats especially if they're kind of like if you look at them closely they might be a little pink almost like a pimple and sometimes they'll have a scab on them then then that can be a condition we call miliary dermatitis and it's miliary little bumps dermatitis can happen from a lot of different reasons in cats the number one thing that causes it is flea allergy dermatitis so that's always the number one thing on my list when I hear of kitties that have these little bumps usually around the neck the head sometimes on the chest but also along the back there are some other causes of that as well and that might be things like a bacterial infection allergies or food allergies and even things like ringworm so cats don't always have to get ringworm with like a hair loss like a person does they can actually get these little bumps so since you do have a kitty going outside I'm gonna say number one thing we need to focus on is flea control and the funny thing that I always have this conversation with folks about cats and a lot of folks will say oh I never see fleas or any evidence of fleas on my cat and that's because in many cases cats are doing what they do best they groom and they groom themselves really well so we can't count on seeing evidence of fleas on cats if we're in an area that has fleas and especially with having one going outside we really need to treat appropriately with that and that might be a combination of a oral product such as comfortus along with a topical product on a regular monthly basis so that is by far the number one thing I'm doing for both cats the other thing and if we do have fleas to realize is if you have that one cat going outside we're gonna struggle we are gonna struggle hard to control fleas and any resulting skin side effects because of that so if we're really concerned about getting this on under control we'll try to keep the outdoor cat indoors for about a month's time so we can really do our best to try to get the flea control under our belts there but then you know this would be something if you haven't already taken the babies to the vet you know we we'd want to do that and just make sure we don't have something like ringworm and check to see if we need to be on an antibiotic or if they do see fleas sometimes we'll use a bit of a steroid just to help decrease the itch so we don't have so much self trauma as a result of the itch because dogs cats they can have flea allergy dermatitis which means they are reasonably itchy from the bite of the flea from the saliva so it doesn't have to be that that we have tons of fleas it could be one flea and if you have an allergic pet they are just going crazy from that itch so that's when we'll often use things like you know prednisone or other types of steroids just to help kind of quiet down that reaction there as far as you know them bathing themselves you know looking and and and all that you know well I guess what you call washing your body or something they always do that through all day long yeah yeah that's normal I mean kitties they are fastidious creature so you know it is really their job to keep that hair coat looking good and if something offending is there they're gonna get it out of there so yeah that's why you know they may just be doing a really good job of that so so you got a little bit of work there Jim but you know work with your veterinarian and see about getting the right treatment and the right products so you know this is something I definitely like to work with my clients because some of the topicals alone aren't going to give us the quickest relief especially with the allergy dermatitis we got to use some of these quick kill type products and many of them are the oral forms right yeah I tried it for a while and I wasn't sure if I was helping it or not and to me it didn't seem like it made a difference you tried what I missed the front line he tried frontline so we're talking about some of the oral so this is different medicines these are medicines that you you take internally is that correct right right and there's you know there's not every topical is created equal so we prefer to have a topical that if possible has a quick kill if not that's when we pull out the oral medications cap star come forward us and a lot of these they will kill those fleas so quickly but if your cat's going outside they're gonna get reinvested so that's where keeping them indoors just to get a handle on things can be very helpful for the initial stages of trying to treat this I applaud you you're doing something right Jim we got that 17 year old hat so give those babies a hug and a little scratch and thanks so much for your call all right take care Jim we appreciate it yeah we have Nike the studio cat and it just takes one flea bite and he is yeah his whole body gets covered with sores and the comfort has worked very well for us and a steroid shot that day when we discovered that cleared him up fast if you happen to have a Yorkshire terrier shih tzu a pug or a mini schnauzer did you know did you know our very own talented doctor Debbie has written books called how to be your dog's best friends about these breeds right here and I'm gonna try to convince her to work on some other breeds any natural holistic treatments for fleas I mean I get tired of searching for one well like all the old old wives things like garlic really don't work as far as like the skin so soft you can do that in a diluted spray and that can be one thing you can use trying to think holistic isn't my forte I just feel so bad dumping a chemical on my cat skin or dog you know and I'm with you on that I really am because I spilt I accidentally spilt some of that front liner advantage and it splattered on my keyboard on my computer and it ate a little hole right where it splattered you think of all the different types of products and if you put them on a plastic which is plastic is just not a normal substance wait but you would put something on skin that would eat away at plastic I just don't know I I I'm having a hard time with that doc well there's different carriers and such within those products which may not necessarily be causing a problem but will on plastic and yeah can cause a surface change so hmm okay by the same token I used to I did find a natural one one time in the store and this was many moons ago at least ten years ago and but it was like a clove oil and something else and "So that's where I, that's what I'm, that's what I do with my, the people that I work with and see the gift in things, try to see the gift. And I work with that and it is, it's staggering how people really very soon see gifts in things. But you have to point them out, right? They won't find them for themselves. You have to say, calm them down and say, okay, let's talk about this. Where's the gift in this? And in the beginning you say, you're crazy, there's no gift. At this, this, they are even angry, they are really angry. And at some points they change. And after the conversation they say, okay, I'm, I'm, this is actually, this is good, this is maybe not that strong. But they say, okay, now I'm, I'm, I can move on, I can move on. It's that tunnel vision we get when we, when we talk to someone. So for example, for, for myself, if I'm having a really bad day, it could take me a while to realize what the trigger is or what's going on. Because within myself I get very tunnel visioned. Whereas if I'm talking to someone like a guest or Ryan or someone else, I instantly see it because I'm allowed to sit back and look at the whole situation. And that's what we don't do as individuals. We don't look at the whole situation. We just focus on the, the here, the now, the one thing. And before we come on to what you're doing now with the TED Talks and the, or the leadership and the development and that for people, I want to throw a bit of a curve ball. And I want to ask, with regards to your younger years when you started, was, was there any times you used your profession as a clown or the thoughts of being a clown to kind of hide any of your own inner demons, inner emotions, what was going on? Was that like a mask for you, say, or, or not? Constantly. I did it constantly. I did it constantly. I used humor to talk myself out of everything. I had a, I had a, I actually had a very pleasant childhood. But trouble started with me around 16, 17 years old. Then, then I started to be really troubled, really dark, blaming people. And that lasted, actually my clowning helped me out of that. But still, until this day, I sometimes hide my feelings by laughing about them. So people say something about you and you're not really in a good mood or you have some problems or whatever. But still, until this day, that's my defense mechanism. And, and that's also say people, what I hear very often is, oh, we can't read you. You seem to be always happy, but we can't read you. So that is, until today, still a defense mechanism from me. I'm trying to, I'm getting better and better at it in, in, in being who I am also in, I don't like people actually also. Don't get me wrong. I'm not, I'm very unhappy going to, yeah, very unhappy. This is great. This talk, this is great. But I'm very unhappy going to network events, going to where people are, going to the movies, going to all these things, parties, yeah, with a little, with a few glasses of wine, it's better. But actually I don't, I don't like people. I love to be on stage and I love to entertain people and I love to get really close to people also. But, but generally I have a problem with, with like, like, yeah, like network events. That's not my, that's really not my thing. I can't be myself. Let's, let's put it that way. I can't be myself at network events. I am exactly the same. Um, it's, it, it's strange because I do this podcast, I chat with people and if I'm, if I'm talking about like mental health, talk about my story, I'm quite open. I could talk about it because I've got a passion. I've got an understanding. There's no kind of fear there about that, about this topic. But within day to day life, for me to go up to someone and say, hello, how are you? Or, you know, but someone bump into me and ask me a question. I, my social anxiety is, is, was really bad and recently has got really, really bad to the point where we went to a networking event, myself and Ryan again to push what we do and to learn what other people do it. And I had a kind of an, a mini a panic attack and I was on the verge to like, this is not right here. And for me, now I'm talking more about mental health, learning more about it. When I come away from that situation, I can kind of look back and go, right. I nearly had a panic attack. Why is that? Well, okay. Part of me as a person, I'm, I'm not interested as I say in bullshit conversations. I'm not interested in the hello, how are you's. I'm not, I know that sounds bad as a person, but that's just me. That's just what I learned from my counseling. And it's like, yeah, it is how you, how it is in that. And again, people got stories, this sort of stuff I love, but then you look at the aspect of right. So what is that fear with the social anxiety when you go into that kind of motion? So, so for yourself, Eddie, if you're like, right, tonight, I'm going to the movies instantly. If you're having them faults already of like, I don't want to go, I know it is. I'm not, I'm not great in them situations. Then them faults are going to have effects on like your feelings. And then the feeling is going to have effects on your behavior, which is what then show as like, I really fucking don't want to be here right now. This is not my place. But also, do you feel at the same time that the reason you'd love to be on stage, love to do the reason you love to be a clown is because you then have control of that situation. You are at the center and do you have control of where it's going? Is that does that play an effect on it? And then, because that's what I'm looking at from both sides. If you're going to a cinema and it's kind of like socializing, it's a bit difficult. But when you're on stage, it's like, I know what's going to happen. Does that play effect or? It's a few things. I think it's, it's, it's having some kind of control. I know having control is an illusion, but still you have some kind of control. And also I want to, I want to make people happy. I want to make them laugh. I want to make, I want to touch them hearts, their hearts. So that's actually what I want to do.

In last week's episode 150 and in today's episode, we are going to the evangelism on fire podcast archives and I am putting in your ear the top two rated God stories from all of the God stories in our podcast archives. Today, I want you to listen to this amazing God story of Gigi. She grew up as a practicing Muslim who now follows Jesus with a fierce love and passion as a Christ follower. This is one of your favorite all time God stories on evangelism on fire podcast. So I want you to sit back, listen to this amazing, amazing God story and enjoy evangelism on fire nation. I have a special guest with us today. Her name is Gigi and I'm so excited to have her on our podcast today. She has an amazing testimony of what Jesus has done in her life. So Gigi, say hello to evangelism on fire nation and tell us a little bit about yourself so we can get to know you. All right. Good morning evangelism on fire. I pray that my message blesses you today. Yes. Yes. Amen. Yes. So let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Ghislaine Labar Taft, but I'm known as Gigi as my close friends call me. I was born and raised in Morocco in North Africa. I am actually the product of a French Catholic mother and a Muslim Moroccan father. How crazy is that? Yeah. Yeah. That's crazy. That is right. They met in med school. They wed and they had two boys and a girl. That would be me. And since I am the youngest, I had to toughen up at a very, very young age. So when I was three years old, my mom had had enough of not being fully accepted by my paternal family. She didn't want to convert to Islam. And my father, who was very cool and very opened while he lived in France, became very Muslimish, so to speak, when he went back home. And that's part of the culture actually. So while on vacation, she met an American and just up and left us. My dad, who was a prominent doctor, found us a nanny who loved us unconditionally. And Pastor Mark, I truly believe that that's where my unconditional love for others come from. She really felt that in me, you know, those back. Right. That's amazing. To this day, it actually touches me to the core that someone would be willing to leave her just family to care for us. It actually brings tears to my eyes, truly, you know, so that's sacrificed right there, you know. And the reason she did that is at first she would come and take care of us during the day, but I would cry and wouldn't sleep all night because I missed her so much. So she gave it all up and came to live with us. Wow. That is so amazing. And you're right, Gigi. I mean, what a great expression of unconditional love. Absolutely. Absolutely. And so when I was six years old, my father died in a plane crash. There were 60 doctors on board. One survived to tell the tale. Very sad story. My dad's younger brother, my uncle, and his wife took us in. They had three kids. We were three. And you would think we were the Brady Bunch, except we were not a happy family, unfortunately. So my uncle, and like my father, was a practicing Muslim and taught us to pray five times a day, which is how we pray, how Islam teaches you to pray, basically. It would yank us out of bed to ensure that we had prayed. So literally we would be asleep at night and he'd yank us out to make sure that we had prayed. Not having the time to pray meant that you would pile up your prayers. Islam requires the faithful to pray five times per day and allows you to make up those prayers if you are busy or if you forget, basically. Allah is the authority and he's not to be questioned. Actually, nothing is to be questioned, period. So I grew up really fearing and hating this punishing God who sat up in heaven and seemed to enjoy tormenting me, at least that's how I felt, right? Nothing was going right at that time. When I was 16, I found my mom through the embassy, the French embassy, and I ran away. I literally went to school one day and ran away. My mom lived in New York. She sent me a plane ticket and I came to the US with not even my toothbrush, I tell people. My brother, $20. And that's what I had in my pocket. So you not even a toothbrush and you had $20. That's all the money that you had with you. That's all I had with me. And I crossed the ocean and came to this country with absolutely nothing, an empty heart, broken empty heart. I had left my brother and that's what happened. So it took a few months because we had to wait for the visa. My mom had gotten me a visa and I left Morocco. I never returned until 2013 when my brother, who's biologically my cousin, but as I had said before, we were three and they were three. So we call each other siblings, brothers and sisters. When he got married, he insisted for me to go back. And that was my first time back, 80s. So of course being the way I was, I looked for love in the wrong places. And I met a young man and we had a very bitter divorce and I moved to Florida. I was an empty shell and I studied religion, trying to find gods all over the place. I thought, well, if it's not in a guide, there has to be a God somewhere. And I landed on an ashram studying Buddhism. And I felt like that Buddha's teachings were calm, loving, and that was something that I could follow. Meanwhile, I earned my degree in teaching in education, but couldn't find a job. So I had to move to Charlottesville, Virginia to teach French and Spanish at a local high school. So that's pretty much what happened, like how I grew up, so to speak. That's an amazing, unique story of your life. It really is very different. So let me ask you this, Gigi, like when you came to this country, to our country with only, again, you said no toothbrush, only $20 in your pocket. What empowered you to have the courage to make that move with only $20 in your pocket? My brother wanted me to leave. He knew, my older brother knew that my family was trying to marry me. So in Islam, they marry people at a young age, really, or something. And people were starting to look at me and ask my uncle for my hand in marriage. And he was considering it. And at the time I was 16 and my brother wanted me to study and be educated and do something with my life. So he's the one who pushed me, really. Yeah, that is so awesome. So how did you discover Jesus as your savior, as a once practicing Muslim? Well, one day my friend Bob and his wife invited me to Efford Baptist Church, which is a church here in Savannah County, for their daughter's baptism. I really didn't want to go because I didn't believe in Christianity. You have to understand, for Muslims, the Trinity is not only foreign, but it's absolutely horrible. How can you be God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, right? It's just not heard of. So I really wasn't interested in religion and Christianity, but remember, I had a big heart and love that was instilled in me. So I went with a gift, because I love to give gifts, and I really did not go for any religious reasons. After all, what kind of a God would allow a three -year -old to be abandoned by her mother? Or what kind of a God would allow a six -year -old to lose her father to be raised by an authoritarian uncle? emotionally, My uncle physically, and sexually abused me, and that was hard for me. Yeah, so of course you're thinking, if there is a God, what kind of God will allow that pain and suffering into my life? Right, absolutely. And so at the end of the service, the pastor made an altar call, which I ignored completely. Actually I was thinking, I need to buy food, I need to do this, I need to do that. And he then asked everyone to stand and sing, give thanks with a grateful heart. And honestly, I don't even remember what happened. All I know is that the flood of tears emanated from my eyes. I couldn't even stand, and I crawled to the altar. Oh, wow. You literally, you crawled to the altar? I could not walk, Pastor Mark, and that is the God's honest truth. I couldn't even carry myself. I crawled there, and while I was crawling, I felt all the guilt from years of sin, all the shame, all the hurt, all the anger leave my body. Wow. I just felt instantly renewed, like a renewed body. And it was all replaced with love, with hope, with gentleness, with kindness, with goodness. Really the fruits of the spirits just oozed out of my body. The love of God, that love and peace that really encompasses all understanding. And literally, I met Jesus, my Lord and Savior, at the altar that day. Wow. And you literally, you weren't going to let anything stop you, Gigi. You literally crawled to the altar to accept Jesus as your Savior. I really did. I really did. Physically, I couldn't even do it. I just crawled. That's the bottom line. Wow. That is what I'm talking about. Wow. So you weren't ashamed of the gospel. You knew that Jesus was calling you and you crawled to the altar to receive him. And on your way there, he is totally cleansing you. And you're being reborn with each inch that you crawl to the altar. Wow. I just absolutely love that. You know what? You got me fired up. Just tell me that story of you accepted Jesus as your Savior. Wow. It's amazing. I still sometimes have to pinch myself just to be like, wow, I can't believe this happened to me. Yes, I was saved. I didn't feel the big, you know, anything. It was big. Right. It was big. Oh, wow. Wow. So if there's anyone listening to our podcast right now and they're thinking about coming to Jesus and, you know, accepting him as your Savior, but something that's holding them back. I want you as someone who literally physically crawled to the altar to receive Jesus. What would you tell that person right now? I would just say, just go. What have you got to lose? Honestly. Yeah. What can you lose? Just run. Don't even think about it. Who cares what others think? You know, the whole time I was there, I was like, oh, my gosh, what if somebody sees me? What if somebody recognizes me and my sins? And I just run, crawl, do what you have to do. Yeah, that is so good. Gigi said run, crawl, do what you have to do. Just don't hesitate and wait to accept Jesus as your savior. If he is calling you right now, don't wait. Just crawl to him. Run to him. So Gigi, how long have you been a Christian? I've been a Christian since 2003 when I received baptism. Wow. Since 2003. So what was your life like before you made a decision to follow Jesus? So honestly, as a Muslim, I was very bitter. I didn't understand Allah. And since nothing was to be questioned, we just went through the motions and we followed the teachings. I was empty, though. I was a high school teacher, so I was a contributor. I was really contributing to society. But I felt numb on the inside. I loved on children, but I had no love for myself. I chose abusive men to fulfill a void and I would then leave them or they would leave me. And that gave me like a feeling of justifying my victimhood. I was just a victim basically in this world. It was a dark period in my life, to be honest. Yeah. But living without having a relationship with Jesus Christ is really rocky. It's a costly life. I mean, the Bible is clear. It says the wages of sin is death. And I was dying on the inside. Yeah. Yeah. And many times that spiritual death will lead to an actual physical death. Exactly. Exactly. And maybe not for me, because I was teaching, I was coming home, but I was dying on the inside. And so, of course, you have anxiety takes over, depression takes over. So, yes, eventually, you know, suicidal thoughts were my middle name at one point. Oh, wow. That is darkness. Hey, Gigi, if there's a Muslim practicing Muslim listening or anyone who is outside of the faith of Christianity and they've been searching or they're considering searching for Jesus as their savior, especially to a practice of Muslim, you know, what would you what would you say to encourage them? I would say read the Bible. It's very factual. The history doesn't you cannot you cannot refute history, right? It's written. And I would say so study it for sure. But but have an open heart and just just come and visit a church, just meet the people. There's no questions that will not be answered. There's no doubt that will not be answered. People will put their arms around you and not judge you. I remember saying to Pastor John, who was the pastor of the time, an effort Baptist, I remember saying, but I don't understand the Trinity. And he would say to me, he would put his arms around me and say, keep coming back. Yeah, I would say keep coming back. That is so good. That is so good. Now, I know evangelism on fire nation. You're probably wondering what I'm wondering, you know, about Gigi. So, Gigi, how did your life change after you became a Christian? So after I became a Christian, I felt really free from the inside out. I felt free from oppression. You know, we're in a time where people talk about oppression. I felt free from oppression, which I had created in my own mind. And I will venture to say anyone who feels oppressed is because they have created that in their own mind. I had been a victim as a child, but now I'm a victor. I'm victorious over everything. Yes. My self -esteem is stronger. And I did that really by speaking positively as well. The Bible says we are snared by the words of our mouth. And I choose to speak life every day around me, around the people that are with me so that I can continue to be a positive person. I don't feel broken anymore. I don't feel ugly. I don't want to commit suicide anymore. I don't pursue every broken man to try to fix their life. That was my thing, right? Let me find the most broken person so I can fix them. Yeah. So I actually stopped dating. So I had decided to stop dating for a while so I could date myself and get to know myself. Yeah. Say that one more time. That's so good. I want everyone to hear that again. For sure. I stopped dating, going from one man to another, and I started dating myself. I had a relationship with myself. I started loving on myself, taking care of myself. And I prayed to God. I wrote down actually what I wanted in a man. And a year later, I met my husband, Mike. And we have been married for 21 years now. We have an awesome kid together, which is a whole story with our son, actually. And I wish I could say that everything was easy and smooth since I've been a Christian, but that would be lying. Right. It's not that smooth. A lot of people think, well, I'm going to become a Christian and everything will be perfect. And that's not so. We had, for example, we had to, we tried to have a child for three years and nothing happened. And at the time, like I said, I was a teacher at a local high school and I would see these 16, 17 year old get pregnant. And I would say, God, I'm serving you. I'm here 100 % for you. Why am I not getting pregnant? Right. We depleted a bank account with in vitro fertilization. And I was praying one day and I heard God loudly and clearly say, be still and know that I am God. And then he said, but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary. And right then, right there. And then I went into all the fertility drugs and I flushed them in the toilet bowl. And I said, we're stopping this. God knows my heart and knows I want to be a mother. And that's what's going to be. Wow. So you totally trusted in the Lord with all your heart that he, not the fertility drugs, not anything else, that he was the one that's going to provide you with a child that you have a heart desire for. Yes, amen. Exactly. That's what I did. And I remember the devil one day saying to me, see, you're not pregnant. Like every month would pass. And you say, see, look at the God you serve. You're not pregnant. And I would literally open the front door. I could still see myself doing that. I would open the front door. I would put the Bible on the floor. I would stand on it and I'd say, devil, flee out of my house. I am standing emotionally, spiritually, and physically on the word. Amen. That's praise God. That is so powerful. So powerful. Two years later, two years later, I remember I even went and bought a pair of little shoes, like baby shoes, and I would put them in the living room because that was one thing with my husband. I'd always have to pick up his shoes. And that was very annoying to me. Right. So, so I bought little baby shoes and I would put them in the living room and pick them up and put them back. And it might sound crazy to some, but you have to visualize what you want in life. You have to speak it. You, if you want it to manifest, you have to manifest it by faith first, really. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. That is so true. And I want to encourage everyone listening, Evangelism on Fire Nation, whatever dreams God has put in your heart right now, I want you to visualize those dreams like Gigi did with having the expectation of her child and speak those things which be not as though that they're going to be and trusting God for him to bring it to pass and for him to manifest your dreams. So that is so good, Gigi. Hey, what now? This is the question of the day. OK, what what's one thing about your testimony that you've never shared with anyone? OK, so I have I've never shared with anyone that I have had two visions of Jesus, and that was while I was a Muslim and Jesus was rescuing me. One, when I was nine years old, I tried to commit suicide and I was we had we had a house that was very, very high and I was upstairs and I thought I should throw myself from the second floor building. And and he appeared to me and told me that he loved me and that scared me so much that I just rebuked him right away. Like I was like, no, I literally said no, because there could not be a Christian God in a Muslim family. So that I mean, if my family had heard of that, they would have destroyed me. I don't even I can't even imagine what could have happened to me, honestly. So so I just rebuked that and let it go. And the second one was after I had graduated from from college and all, I was in my bed and I was just crying because I felt like there was nothing for me to do. No one loved me. I didn't care. I was a victim. Nobody cared. And I wanted to kill myself. And I closed my eyes and I pictured myself throwing myself in the abyss. And I felt this hand, this huge hand pick me up and put me back on this mountain. And it happened like three times that same day, that same moment. And when I looked up, there was a bright light around me. The room was all bright and actually my eyes were open. So it's a it's a true vision, like not a dream or anything. And and Jesus was telling me that everything was going to be fine. Wow, that's absolutely amazing. Hey, I want to thank you so much for, you know, sharing those two really their personal touches from God. And I just I considered an honor and a privilege that you're sharing that part of your testimony that you've never shared with anyone before. Gigi, thank you so much for having the courage to do that. Thank you for having me, Pastor. Absolutely. He took someone like me. Sometimes I think God has a funny sense of humor. He took someone like me, a piece of coal, and turned it into a diamond.

I don't think I have to tell you what to do, but just in case, high -five seven people and tell them he's going to do it again. Oh, yeah. God is so faithful. How many know he's a faithful God? I've been preaching this series about God. Hopefully, all of the things we preach here about God, but in a very unique way, God has been downloading to us that there's so much about him. There are so many ways he desires to show up in our lives that we haven't recognized yet. I started week one. I talked about how he's the God of also. That message really meant a lot to me, because it reminded me that we haven't met all of God yet. God isn't changing or morphing or expanding. He's immutable. He can't change, but we certainly, as we move through different seasons of our lives, need to see him in different ways, so he's the God of also. Last week, we preached on how he's the God of again and again and again and again, because of each other. Stop. I have to move on to part three. God gave me a part three. Today I want to talk to you about how he's not only the God of also and not only the God of again, but he's the God of already. Let's give glory in this room. So real quick, shake three hands and say, It's on the way, and you may be seated, the God of already. You may be seated. You're here for a reason today. God has something for you today. In the spirit of last week's message about the God of again, I'm going to use the same passage from last week again. John 21, verses 4 through 9. We'll select a little different passage this time but from the same story. Time permitting, I want to also hit that Luke 15 again from the prodigal son. One was a story Jesus told a parable to teach, and one was a miracle he performed, but they share a similar lesson, the God of already. Verse 4. Early in the morning Jesus stood on the shore, but his disciples did not realize it was Jesus. He called out to them, Friends, haven't you any fish? No, they answered. He said, Throw your net on the right side of the boat, and you'll find some. When they did, they were unable to haul in the net because of the large number of fish. Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, It is the Lord. As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, It is the Lord, he wrapped his outer garment around him, for he had taken it off, and jumped into the water. The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of fish, for they were not far from shore. About a hundred yards makes me get ready for football season. About a hundred yards. When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it and some bread. The God of already. This message has a subtitle, Let Him Cook. I thought I'd tell you a little story. I couldn't remember if I shared it. My oldest son said he had never heard it. When I was in high school, right after I got really fired up for Jesus Christ, I was running around telling everybody they needed to be saved and they were going to hell, and I wasn't. So be like me. I was burning all my Motley Crue and Guns N' Roses CDs and listening to Striper. I burned my Pantera and went over to Petra. If you're in the subculture, you know. If you don't know, you don't know, but you don't need to know. I'd tell people all the time I was very, very bold. Some would say zeal without knowledge, but I was excited. Fired up. My dad wasn't in church at the time. He'd been in church when I was a little boy. My mom always took us to church, but my dad wasn't in church at the time. He would go out and play golf on Sundays, a little par 3 golf course, get drunk with my uncle. I think as sort of an atonement, when I was getting ready to go to church, he would wake up early and cook us breakfast, so he'd be over there making some scrambled eggs and grits. If you don't like grits, I don't need you as a member of Elevation Church. Then he would make, on occasion, some corned beef hash, some fried bologna, but it was all because he felt bad, because he wasn't going to church. He'd wake up early and cook for us, and then he'd go off to the golf course, and we'd go to church. That was going on for a little while. One Sunday morning, I remember really clearly whatever came over me. I looked at him and said, this "'Dad, breakfast is great. Thank you for making it, but I want to tell you something. I'm only 16 or 17 years old." I said, "'It's not going to be long before God is going to get a hold of your life. I've been praying for you, and God answers my prayers. Pretty soon you're going to turn to the Lord, and it's going to be crazy. You're going to be reading the Bible all the time. You're going to church. You're not going to be just cooking breakfast and going off. You can cook this breakfast today, but eventually, soon and very soon, you'll be going to church with us.'" I don't remember if he said anything. He didn't go to church that day. He kept cooking, and I ate and went to church. It was about a year or more later when I had gone off to college and I came back home to preach at Santee Circle Community Church for a weekend. After I preached the sermon, my dad came down for the altar call. When I went down to pray with him, he said, "'Never stop preaching.'" We had many bumps and bruises after that. He wasn't raptured up to heaven. He didn't become the next pope, Billy Graham, or Bill Gates for that matter, but it really was a change in his life. He started memorizing the Bible and stuff like that. He told me something. He said, "'Remember that day when you told me when I was cooking breakfast that God was going to get a hold of my life and all this stuff you were saying to me?' I said, "'Yeah, because I was proud of my prophecy having come to pass.'" He said, "'What I didn't tell you is I felt so sorry for you when you were saying all that, because I thought he was going to be so disappointed. He has no idea. I felt so sorry for you that you didn't know how low I was and how far I was from God and how I would stand in the shower every morning before I go open the barbershop and just think, "'God, if you give me the strength to get through this day, I promise I'll change,' but I couldn't change. So I sat there and listened to you, and I felt so bad that you were that crazy and that naive to think I could change, because you didn't know how far away I was." Will you do me a favor? Will you look at your neighbor real quick and say, "'You're not as far as you think you are'? That's what God knows you don't. That's what the Devil knows you don't. From that life God has called you to live and from that victory he has called you to accomplish in his name, from that freedom that to you feels like some sort of dream right now, you're not as far as you think you are, because the God of already is in the house. I tell you that story not to impress you but, as the motivational speakers would say, to impress upon you or rather to reflect myself on these moments we have in our lives, like I had with my dad, where you know something. You don't know how you know it. You sense it, even though your senses are telling you different. Your spirit says it. It actually just came to me this morning to tell you that story as I was asking God, how can I bring them into this text, which is a story about a fisherman named Peter who was called to be a shepherd and had to make a transition, because he had been through an experience where he'd let himself down and, he thought, let Jesus down. Now he's out there fishing, and Jesus is on the shore. I was wondering, what was happening in that moment with my dad? What's happening in those moments of our lives where one thing seemed to be already in progress? Do you all remember back when they used to interrupt your regularly scheduled programming to give you a news report or a weather report? You used to be watching Family Matters on Friday night, watching Urkel try to get Laura Winslow one more time on Friday night, and the news would come on. There's a storm. They'd just interrupt your regularly scheduled programming. Then when they would get back to the program after they had said whatever they needed to say and just broke in on your program, they'd say, we now return to your regularly scheduled programming. Already progress. in Then it would just go right back. No DVR. You can't rewind. Urkel still isn't with Laura like always. You just drop right back in in the middle of it, because it's already in progress. That's the challenge with the text I read you, because I just jumped right into something where Peter has denied Jesus three times. He's out fishing. Who knows how bad he felt. Who knows how far he felt. He has already seen Jesus, but Jesus shows up again. I love verse 4. This really touched me, because I related to it. It said, Early in the morning Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. Kind of far off in the distance. They're tired. They've been fishing all night, caught nothing, frustrated, probably a little discouraged. They did not realize it was Jesus, but that doesn't mean he wasn't there. In seminary they taught me this term that stuck with me. It's called the already not yet view of Scripture. It sounds like a contradiction, but it's not. It's just the tension we all live in. Everybody say already. Not yet. This side you can be already. They taught me that in seminary. The kingdom of God came when Jesus came to earth. He said, kingdom of God is at hand, and he inaugurated that kingdom with miracles, signs, and wonders. He did amazing things. He was crucified dead and buried, risen from the dead. He ascended to the right hand of God, and he's coming again to establish his kingdom once and for all. He already died for the sins of all who will believe on him. He already rose to life, and he's risen with all power, and the keys of death, hell, and grave are in his hand. He's interceding for you right now. He already paid the price. He already won the victory. As the Bible talks about these realities, there is a sense in which they are already fulfilled and a sense in which they are… Y 'all still aren't ready? Maybe next week. I'll do it again and again, and y 'all can try it again. The picture here is that if the Bible says you are saved, it will also say you will be saved. It's talking about something that happened and something that will happen. It's like, I am saved right now from the penalty of my sin, but I'm still not completely set free from the pattern of sin. That's why I can say I'm already a child of God, but I'm not yet well behaved. I'm not yet grown up like I want to be. It's the already not yet. I think if you'll look at the Bible that way, it'll help you understand why sometimes you see things in the Bible and you're like, oh, am I even a Christian? Pray without ceasing. I don't live that way. Well, you already pray some, but the without ceasing part, that's the not yet. The Bible even says we have been adopted into God's family, and then it says we are awaiting our adoption. Which one is it? Well, it's already technically true, but I have not yet fully understood all of the implications of it. It would be like if they switched cameras right now. There's somebody back there that's on the other camera. Let's just switch to this one. He had to be ready to do it, and I gave him no preparation. That's why he had to be there. He was already there, waiting for a word, in order to do what he was there to do.

"17 year old man is being held on $1 million bail in the Pierce County jail following his arraignment on first degree murder charges. Northwest News Radio's John Libertini reports. Lakewood Police say the attack started a with loud party at an apartment complex and then a complaint from a 64 year old man who lived there. It was very vicious. 17 year old Brody Drew Brownell that allegedly responded with a vicious attack. Sergeant Charles Lakewood PD. He beat stomped and then eventually stabbed him as well. We believe that were there a few other people that were there as well as him videoing himself conducting some of these actions. Investigators say Brownell taunted the unidentified victim, even recording some of the attack. Nearby surveillance cameras also captured the crime. First degree murder and first degree assault. According to court records, the victim was stabbed as many as seven times in the head and neck. Brownell, though 17 years old, is being charged as an adult. John 14 Northwest News Radio. A woman and her pet were killed when a speeding car crashed into her house in Vancouver, Washington. Police say a suspected drunk driver was speeding when they hit a curb and crashed into the home Thursday night. Two other people who lived in the home survived. The house itself is a total loss. The driver went to the hospital with non -life -threatening injuries and faces multiple charges including homicide when they get out. An eight -foot alligator died in a house fire in Lake Stevens early yesterday morning. Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue says the flames broke out around 2 30 the at home along Vernon Road. "What would each of you tell your 17 -year -old self? What would I do? Stop wasting your time. So I was 17. I was working at a fast food restaurant making sandwiches. Now the internet didn't really exist as such. But looking back on it, it was part of my journey. And I regret nothing because I ended up where I am. So would I even go back and tell myself anything is the question. If I had to, it would be to not burn so much of my time. Let's talk to the 17 -year -olds who are listening. If you finish your job, come home, play video games, et cetera. That's what I used to do when I was 17 a little bit. What I didn't do is come home and think, OK, fuck, let's work on something new. Let's try and build something. Let's start a YouTube channel. Let's start creating content instead of consuming content. Yeah, I'd tell myself to be a little bit more proactive with my free time and not fuck around so much. If you had a teenage son, what would be the one piece of advice you'd give him to break through the matrix and achieve success in life? I think if you're a young man, even if you're not my child, just any man who's out there in the world today, you need to look at some problems that need solving either for yourself or for society and find a way to fix them. And I think that you should just adopt some problems and try and fix them. It doesn't matter what it is. You can just try and fix the litter in your area, or you can try and get a six pack or whatever you want. Men are builders. The modern world, call me misogynistic, the modern world was built by men. Every building you're in was built by men. Every road you drive on was built by men. We're builders, we build things, and that's what you should be focused on. I think that a lot of people don't understand that it's all of the challenges and struggles that's going to make them, it's either going to make or break them. It's how you look at the problems and how you use them to fuel you. What you have to do is frame it inside of your mind and understand that all of those problems are going to allow you, give you the fuel, the unlimited motivation that you need to become a successful and beautiful individual if you frame it in the right way. If you take a man and give him a life shielded from problems that he never has any to face, I guarantee you he's terrible at being a man. The best men in the world have gone through shape. That's just, that's why women love scars because they didn't kill you. That's the whole point of it, right? So the best thing you can do as a man is look and go, okay, this is hard, this is hard, this is hard, this is hard. I feel negative because these are also difficult. I'm struggling with X, Y, Z. Let me internalize all of that and turn it into a superpower. Let me become genuinely uncomfortable with my situation in life and go and fix things because, like I said, the universe is absolutely and utterly very giving. And if you truly hated being in the position you were in, you wouldn't be there very long. So I think that the number one problem with the world today and the biggest problem that men face isn't the problems themselves. It's just the way that they've been taught to mentally frame issues. People think when bad things happen to them that somehow they're a victim to the universe and bad things only happen to me and this is so terrible. They don't understand that bad things happen to everybody and the most successful person you know had all those problems, maybe even worse, at least the same bad things happen to them. They just framed it differently and used it. That's the difference. So I don't pray for an easy life. I pray for a life of difficulty that allows me to become a better and better person. I pray to become more competent to handle problems. I pray to put myself in a position where if the mass weedy machine attempts its very best to destroy my life, I can laugh and smile from my fill in the mind. This is who I pray to become. I don't pray that nobody hurts me. I pray to be able to fight. So it's a different mentality. I think a lot of people build their mindsets around trying to feel good. So that's why we were talking earlier about people who want to ignore the idea of personal responsibility or self -accountability because they feel better if they pretend it's not a real thing. They feel better if they pretend everything someone else's fault. A lot of people's mental model and how they view the world is based around them feeling as good as possible. So when you sit there and talk to somebody who has the mask on and they refuse to believe the elites are laughing at them, it's not because they can't comprehend the ideas. It's because they feel better if they don't believe that they are a clown to the elites. I feel better if this is really all innocent and it's really all about a disease. So people are trying to base their mindsets around trying to feel good. I have always tried to base my mindset around absolute competence regardless of how I feel. And there are certainly disadvantages to that. There are times you're going to be a lot more pessimistic or you're going to be a lot more stressed or a lot more pissed off about certain things than others. Yeah, that can be seen as a downside. But like I said, I use all of those things for unlimited motivation to propel my endless upward trajectory. But if you construct a mindset that allows you to be as competent as possible as opposed to feel any different or feel better, then you're going to naturally come to the conclusions I've come to. You're as competent as possible if you believe you can affect absolutely everything about your life. You're as competent as possible if you believe absolutely everything that's happened to you, whether good or bad, is completely your fault. You're as competent as possible if you believe the bad things that happen to you are going to allow you to work harder and become even better. When bad things happen to me, the first thing on my mouth is good. Good, good. That's just my response. Good, good, good. Now, now I'm really pissed. I think that's what the average man really needs to struggle. And I've been saying this has been my message for a very long time in all realms. I've said for a very long time that life for the average man is going to get harder and harder. It's becoming more and more competitive. You need to find more and more ways to stand out and be unique. And the only way to really do those things, unfortunately, as a man is to suffer. And that's one of the reasons I'm kind of glad that God put me in jail, because if you look at anything that builds a man into a man, there's a degree of suffering. It's very hard to become a man and have a man who's respected and has stories and is capable when he only had a nice life and nice experiences. It's usually the things that made you the best version of you are usually the worst things that happen to you. So the demons I carry from jail, the fact I can't sleep. The fact I can't sleep, I've had girls say to me, you can't sleep, you need to see a psychiatrist. And I said, absolutely not. I would be furious if a psychiatrist walked in here and took my demons from me. I don't care if they could fix me with a click, they're mine. And they're bestowed to me by God and they're mine to deal with and they're mine to fix because that's how I become a better version of me. I would be furious if someone took them away from me. I'm glad I can't sleep. Good, I can train endlessly. That's why I'm bigger than I've ever been. I'll train every, I'm not going to waste a minute, but all the demons that have been given to me by God and all the problems that have been given to me by God are mine to fix. I would never ever allow anybody else to take them from me. I'd be furious. If a psychologist came in and said, I could cure you, I'd say, no, thank you, I will cure myself. I don't care if it takes 10 years. I'll cure myself, that's my job. And I know that when that's done, I will be more mentally resilient than I ever would have been without jail. That's the whole point of it, right? So many men say, I want to be the man, but they don't want to suffer. They don't want to fight. And I don't understand why, because even if you look at a superhero movie, they tell you, even in superhero movies, they make it very clear. Batman's parents died. That's why he's Batman. All the bad things have to happen. There's no way to get there without the bad things. I get so many emails from people complaining about their bad things. I don't have time to reply to any of them, but if I could, I'd say, good. Good luck. Congratulations. Off you go. Of course, you broke your heart. Of course, you're sad. Of course, you miss her. She's with me now. That's life. That's part of it. That's the only way you're going to get to that level of resilience. You can't become the man any other way. So, yeah, I thank God for everything bad that's ever happened to me and all the demons. And you decipher it and you work out the best way to deal with it and you internalize the good parts and you become a better and stronger and more resilient person for it. And that's why if you're a man and you're waking up every day and you're not trying your very best to be important or upgrade yourself or upgrade your character or you're lacking motivation, then you have a serious problem because it is your job to be capable of dealing with the insurmountable pressure which God is going to put upon you so that when you suffer, everyone around you does well. Our lives are set up that even if they throw us in a dungeon today, everybody we love will be okay. Forever. And that is what's most important. That's the most important thing. That's success. And that was absolutely comforting in jail when we discussed that and we said everyone we love is okay. You and I just have to make it through this. And that's absolutely and utterly comforting. If you're a man staying at home right now, you need to sit and say, okay, if they plucked me from my life, if they picked me up and threw me in a room and locked me in a jail cell. Which can happen. Which can happen to anybody, especially as they continue these matrix attacks on masculinity as a whole. Would your wife have a roof over her head? Would your children eat? Would your family be okay? Think about these things. These is what you're working for. You're not working to make money so you can buy a Lamborghini. You're working to make money and you're thinking outside of the box and you're becoming your best version of yourself so all the people around you will always be okay no matter what happens. It is your job as a man to suffer. And we did our job fantastically, absolutely and utterly as we should. We always will. And we always will. And everybody around us was okay. And that is extremely comforting in times of hardship because we're built for suffering. We were absolutely and utterly built for suffering. No matter how close I came to crying inside of that jail cell, I knew all the people around me were safe and all the people around me could eat. And that's all I cared about. I used my phone calls when I would call other people and they were asking me how I was. I'd say, we don't want to talk about me. How are you? Are you okay? Are you okay with the media pressure? Are you okay? Are your bills paid? Do you have money? Can you eat? I'm in a jail cell in Romania. I'm making sure that everyone I love is okay. I don't need them to sit and worry about me. I worry about them. I sat in a jail cell making sure I could fix the problems for the people I love outside in the free world from a dungeon. That is what a man does. And you must prepare and set up your life for that. You must be prepared to be plucked from life. And understand that everybody around you who once relied on you will still be relying on you. Even when you sit in that jail cell, it's still up to you. You are still the man of the household. You are still the top G of your life. Only you. And if you don't pay the bills, who's going to do it? Your wife's just going to what? Go get a job? Get like five jobs and raise your kids? How's she going to do that? You must be prepared for these things. That is what you're working for. So if you wake up every day as a man and you say, I don't have motivation to become strong. I don't want to work hard and get rich. I don't want to try and become financially free. What you're saying is that the second you disappear, the second you disappear from your matrix control job, everyone who loves you and respect you and relied on you is going to starve. How can you live that way as a man? Absolutely not really unacceptable.

Are they punishing all of France? the country that welcomed and nurtured them? Now I don't know if you know, but France has had very a lax immigration policy. They're bringing all their own baggage from the countries that they came from and basically they're just kind of living in the zones. There's police, there's zones in France where police won't go.
