What Dr. Daniel Amen Learned From Analyzing Thousands of Brain Scans

"Important lesson from 83,000 brain scans. What is that lesson, doctor? What is the most important lesson that you derived from now? I think it's what, 247,000 brain scans, right? I mean, it's much more than that now. Is you are not stuck with the brain you have. You can make it better. And I can prove it. And we've done thousands of before and after scans. I do a series on Instagram called scan my brain. And about 16 months ago, I scanned Major League Baseball player, Troy gloss, who's the 2002 World Series MVP. And despite a lot of terrible and for concussions, he was drinking too much. He had lots of dark thoughts, he was suicidal. And I did his third scan last week, and it looked dramatically better. And he's dramatically better, which not only impacts him at impact. So he saw a correlation, you see the healthier brain, you also see symptoms improve and it's proof that this is 99% of the profession is missing it. And it's a long-term play. So it's not just, oh, let me give you this medicine and you're less depressed. Let me get your brain healthy. So long term, you have a dramatically decreased risk. For Alzheimer's disease. And I turned 69 this year. And one statistic that just horrifies me is 80 is 50% of people 85 and older will be diagnosed with dementia, or Alzheimer's disease. And I'm not okay with that, right? It's more normal to be demented that not to be demented. So as I take someone in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s. The idea is not to just get them symptom free to get them to fall in love with their and keep that healthy for the rest of their lives.

Hawaii's Kilauea volcano erupts again, summit crater glows

"Hawaii's kilauea volcano is erupting again inside its summit crater. The U.S. geological survey reports that the big island of Hawaii's most active volcano kilauea is stirring again, less than one month after the crater and its larger neighbor mauna loa stopped releasing lava. Inside Hawaii volcanos national park, scientists detected a glow in webcam images at kilauea's summit and footage gathered overnight shows a steaming glowing lava Lake in the caldera. Kilauea last erupted for 16 months starting in September of 2021, and when mauna loa erupted for the first time in 38 years on November 27th, Hawaii had two volcanos erupting side by side. The mauna loa lava flow got within two miles of a major highway before both caldera's quieted down, a kilauea eruption in 2018 destroyed more than 700 residences, adding hundreds of acres of new land, but a racing protected tidal pools that were popular with visitors and sea turtles. "I want to be meticulous here. Because you've done such a service that I think hasn't gone the requisite attention outside of American greatness and some shows. You've been on tacos show. You've been on my show regularly, but we need to really document people need to read your book January 6th and we need to document what's happening in the last year and a half. So let's talk about, again, what's happening in the courtrooms? Will you share with us the details? Well, let's start what's happening in the prisons. What is the conditions, only a handful of Republicans have dared have shown the fortitude to actually go and visit these prisons. It's Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Louie gohmert, Paul gosar. I may have missed one or two, but it's a handful of sorry. Andy bigg. Andy Biggs, of course, just a handful out of the hundreds who should have gone. We share a little bit about what the conditions are like and how they're being treated in the prison in the nation's capital, Julie. So right now, Seth, there are roughly 70, 75 political prisoners about half of those men are in this D.C. gulag. Some of them have been there for now 16 months and counting. The DoJ, U.S. marshal service are actually transferring some men who have been detained in other parts of the country for months on end, moving them to this D.C. gulag. I mean, it's exactly what you would think, jail in Washington, D.C., would look like. They're mostly held in solitary confinement conditions. They are tormented by jail officials, jail guards who have nothing but contempt for them is Trump supporters. Their defense attorneys complain incessantly in court to D.C. district court judges who are duty bound to protect the rights of defendants against this vengeful government, they have failed to do it. The defense attorneys can not get access to their clients. The jail guards are withholding, discovery evidence that is sent to the jail for months on end. So they are prevented from their constitutional right as a defendant to build their own defense.

Sebastian Discusses the Border Crisis With Tom Homan

"Now. Tom Holman, welcome to America first. Thanks for having me. Tom, second secretary of mayorkas. He should be called the second. This isn't a joke. This is a statement of fact. It should be the head of the Department of Homeland insecurity, correct? Absolutely, because under his leadership, this country is less safe, less secure. Yeah. And in the last 16 months, it has just been an escalation in terms of open borders, giving illegal immigrants, safe passage. Is there anything one action that they've done that actually improves the situation on the border, Tom? No. No, and we got the first secretary of Homeland Security. I've ever seen this complicit in cross border crime. Look, everything he has done. He's been in power 1617 months. And now we keep climbing and climbing and climbing. He tells the Senate during a sitting here, but we got a plan, the plan is coming together. Unless his plan is open borders, which he's proven, that's what it really is. He has no enforcement plan. He has done a single thing to slow the flow. And look, we sued him, said we sued him to put title 42 back in place, and we won. We sued him and I say we because I actually filed after David. I know. And we assumed the title of 42, we suited for remaining Mexico. We won both a federal court said you must reinstate both. And here's the fact, the only doing remain in Mexico at about 40% and as far as the excuse me, they're only doing title 42 at about 40% remain in Mexico to running at about 5%. And this has been for months.

The Left's Woke Indoctrination of the Military With Nick Freitas

"It would be seriously remiss of me if I didn't ask you this question given your background. So my background, so I'm an immigrant, a legal immigrant. I naturalized in 2012, ended up in The White House working for president Trump. But for about the last decade, I had quite a close relationship with Bragg. I've been teaching as a guest instructor on the Q course, the 18 alpha officers course, and also warrant offices, the 18 alpha course as well. The one 81 80 alpha as well. And I love it. And I love those guys, especially when you're talking to warrants, you know, who've had 9, 9 tools in the sandbox. You're not teaching them anything. You're standing there with a card rate just listening to what they have to say. But given that association, what we've witnessed in the last 16 months, your well plugged in with your brotherhood back at bragging elsewhere. Your reaction, your comments, to what is politely turned, the work efficacy of the American military, what we've seen in terms of the pride flag being flown over the air force recruits in that recent Twitter ad, Mark milley saying, yes, we have I'm white and we have to understand white rage. How bad is it? What are you hearing and how concerned are you as a former operator? Well, people are people are very frustrated because they feel like I saw this tweet today and they were talking about the navy pushing for safe spaces. And like, you know, it used to be that the safe space, the military was responsible for was the United States and keeping it safe from foreign militaries and foreign threats. Now all of a sudden, the military is once again become a Petri dish for social engineering. For the left. And there's a lot of frustration because again, if you go into the military and I think especially certain careers in the military that you know are going to put you in a great deal of danger. There's a certain expectation that you're going to have a strong grip on reality because you don't get to play the games that we do in the sociology class at Cal Berkeley when it gets to the battlefield. Things like biology matters, reality matters. And when you start to ignore that, people die from that. That's not a, this is not the typical Elizabeth Warren where if you don't agree for every regulation she likes, you want people to die. No, we operate in an environment where people die when we don't recognize reality. If you deny reality that'll cost.

Will 2024 Be a Walk in the Park for Donald Trump?

"Left? Is it going to be a walk in the park for you in 2024? Because they seem to be doubling down and getting everything wrong in the last 16 months. Well, the very vicious and they fight very much harder than we had, we had Bill Barr. He didn't want to be impeached, so how do you not get impeached? Don't do anything. And you know, when somebody like that says that, oh, no, the election was just fine. And then you watched 2000 mules, or you watch many other things, too. Well, you just look at the proof. Look at Arizona. Look what happened with the audit. Look even the attorney general who is very weak, very weak in Arizona because he showed this massive fraud that was presented to him by the Senate and others. He showed this massive fraud and irregularities. And then he goes, we can't let it happen again. Well, what about taking care of the stuff that happened? Not just saying we can't let it happen again. So he's gone way down in the polls now because of that people are very unhappy about it. But if you look at Georgia, if you look at Pennsylvania where there are subpoenas all over the place, if you look at Wisconsin with the nursing homes where almost everybody voted, but historically very few people vote in nursing homes because they have other problems, frankly. But you look at what happened in Wisconsin with the nursing homes and other things. It's an take a look at Racine Wisconsin. The sheriff, there's a real patriot. Take a look at Racine Wisconsin, where the sheriff went out. He went to see if it was true. And he said, it's far worse than I ever anticipated. Not better, but far worse. No, we have corrupt elections that we have open borders. You know, nobody would have thought this. I always said, you need strong borders to have a country. Well, we have the worst part is we had the best borders in the history of our country two years ago. Now we have the worst borders in the history. And the other thing we have is corrupt elections.

"Feminism has weakened women has made them less happy, more angry. Not true for every woman. There's nothing true for every anything. Except certain biological or laws of physics, biological laws or laws of physics. It is true for everyone that if you are pushed out of a window on the 6th floor, you will fall. That's true for everyone, whilst you carry a parachute. So I outside of that, there are general rules of life. One is that feminism has been spectacularly damaging. Male female relations, female happiness, the family, you name it, babes, you name it. And I'm thinking of this woman in her 30s. A coworker with this distinguished professor at MIT has a 16 month relationship. Sexual emotional, and then when he ends the relationship, she says she was harassed.

I don't see in what sense their peers, I've got a 9 year old, a 7 year old, and a 16 month old at home. And I live in fear that they will be exposed to, let alone exploited in this kind of material. I don't understand you saying to him that their peers and that therefore you were viewing sex acts between children who are not much younger than you and that that's somehow a reason to only give him three months. Help me understand this. Senator, I don't have the record of that entire case. Yeah, she doesn't remember all the pedophiles that she's helped out. I mean, there's so many. She can't keep all the pedophiles straight. My goodness. What are you trying to get on the Supreme Court? I mean, there's just so many pedophiles that she's helped get out of jail that she can't keep is like, wait, was that the pedophile that raped the little girl? Or the pedophile that was the one that stole all the pictures off the computer.

Miranda Devine Reacts to Mainstream Media Confirming Her Reporting

"The New York Times confirmed the authenticity of the emails, the sordid scandalous emails. This is what you guys have been saying and what Miranda Devine, you've been saying all along, it's got to feel pretty sweet to have this sort of bombshell revelation produced by this deep dive investigation by The New York Times. Well, it's a bittersweet Mike and I note that it took them 24 paragraphs before they actually acknowledged that the laptop was real and that the emails on it were real and they had confirmed that they were real. So now it has The New York Times imprimatur, maybe the rest of the media will stop calling our story unsubstantiated in a conspiracy theory as they've been doing for the last 16 months. And you know, New York Times certainly came to the party, but pretty slowly. It is 16 months since we published our initial stories written by imager Morris, my brilliant colleague. And front page story showing that Joe Biden had met with Hunter Biden's overseas business partners, at least one of them at that time, the guy from the Ukraine from that corrupt energy company burisma, Joe Biden's campaign denied that, said, no, it wasn't true. And then later on, you know, I kicked on scouring the laptop and found that, in fact, it was a dinner that Hunter Biden organized in Georgetown in 2015 for his father then the vice president to meet a number of these overseas business partners from Russia from Kazakhstan and from Ukraine. That was also denied until finally, The Washington Post tried to do effect check on my story.

"Remember Kim Potter, this is the policewoman who accidentally shot. Daunte Wright. And you might remember from the video the tragic scene, he has Dante Wright, he's trying to get away and Kim Potter is trying to restrain him. She goes for her taser. And we know this because she even shouts on the camera footage. I'll tase you taser taser and then boom. She fires a single round and then she realizes she got her gun instead and daunte Wright collapses and then Kim Potter bawling collapses herself on the curb. So this is, I mean, it's horrific. It's a certain kind of negligence. I mean, you have to be trained to tell the difference between a taser and a gun. But at the same time, this was unquestionably an accident. And an accident by definition is not a crime, but nevertheless, Dante Wright being black. I think if he had been white a whole different story, but since he was black, suddenly it became, you got to prosecute or you got to charge her and sure enough she's charged with first degree manslaughter, which is a crime. And the jury in a kind of charged political environment goes ahead and finds her guilty. Both actually are for us to agree on second degree. Manslaughter and now Kim Potter comes up before a judge chew. This is Regina Chu for sentencing. And something really kind of remarkable happens. The prosecution is going for a 7 year sentence. In prison. Wow. 7 years sentence for an accidental shooting. And daunte Wright's family is, you know, piling on, they're like, yo, she should get the maximum sentence. She's not remorseful. And so they were there talking about how it was the worst day of their life, and of course I understand their loss. And Kim Potter does, because at the sentencing Kim Potter breaks down and she says to she says to daunte Wright, she says that the family of daunte Wright, I'm so sorry. I brought the death of your son, father, brother, uncle grandson, nephew, and then she says to the mom, Katie, I understand her mother's love. They're while they're in classrooms that they're in facing all one direction That in spaces where we have a double desk or furniture issues that we're having students sit As far apart so on the ends of the tables As we saw in this spring as we lay classrooms out as teachers come in and they're wanting to do instruction they're moving furniture around and so we're continuing to monitoring give the best advice that we can to our building leaders so that then they're working in partnership with their teachers to make sure that we're providing as much space as possible within the classrooms. Well researchers are learning new things about the current oh virus and the variance all the time and guidance gets updated fairly frequently. I mean if the cdc decides to recommend a six feet of distance between kids in schools. Would you be able to accommodate that. Well it would be really tough When we came back with hybrid we were at a six foot and we were managing with half capacity or a third of our students. That were in buildings. And so i think that that would be challenging for any school district to really be able to To do Across the board and certainly in in some schools that have that type of space that we can do that But again as i mentioned we have a variety of buildings with a variety of ages. And so we're Working with the structures that we have so that would be Very difficult we know that one of the biggest areas that parents have concerns about. when it comes to transmitting. The virus is at mealtimes and lunch. So so tell us what you're doing right now to help. Keep kids safe during mealtimes absolutely we are working with schools so that they can expand areas in which students are eating that could include Cafeterias gyms outdoor spaces. We are helping to provide tents where possible outdoor furniture. Where possible and we're doing a whole lot of teaching students about how To remove a mask properly and how to eat and then put their take a bite. Put your mass right back on and again as i said Looking for all the spaces that which we can support schools to expand areas of eating. And we know that some schools in seattle are going to be able to provide lunch outside or outdoors but not all of them. Why is that well. We are seattle public. Schools is senator urban setting and Some of our buildings. Just don't have a footprint that offers a safe way to eat outside So we continue to work with schools to problem solve and to look at are there. Are there alternative spaces which we can eat That that do provide us that safety as well as the spacing. We hope this doesn't happen. Of course but if a student at a particular school happened to test positive for covert nineteen. Who ends up getting contacted. Who who's at. Who's possibly going to have to be quarantined is it. Is it just close contacts or is it a larger group than that it is close contacts and we use guidance and and again our district essential nursing team Works alongside public health to determine what a close contact is who will close contact would be and so the parents of students who would be considered close contact or any staff that would be considered close. Contact would be the ones that would be getting phone calls and remind us what a close contact looks like again. so close. contact is Is someone that is in contact with the infected person for a period of up to fifteen minutes and that's it does no longer needs to be sustainable. Some of the things that we've learned in when we first Started with covert it. Was you know for fifteen minutes straight We are looking at fifteen minutes. Total with that person in close proximity If massar off obviously that would be Close contact We are still contacting folks. That are that have mass on. But but we're in the proximity with them Less than six feet so it could be a number of students that are in a class and again it could be a number of of staff. Why wouldn't every parents of every child in that classroom. Be notified of it. So our priority really would be on those close contacts and We have a smaller staff that are working specifically on on close contact in contact tracing and so We really want to focus in our efforts on folks that we know are going to be at the highest risk for exposure. Sarah pritchett is assistant deputy superintendent at seattle public schools talking to us on this first day of a new school year. Dr richard. Thank you so much for the time thank you..

And there are people in health care, and so I encourage him to. I challenged him to show that evidence. I challenged him to talk to people that that are on the opposing side and be a truth seeker because if he truly cared about people, he would listen to everyone's opinion and take it seriously and not for something that's causing harm to people and not take away their right. "Rand paul's wife purchase stock from gilead sciences. And rand paul. Who's supposed to report. That didn't do so. In fact he didn't report it until sixteen months after the deadline to do so which does certainly raise some red flags but the timing of the gilead share purchases certainly also raises a red flag. And let me give you those details so rand. Paul revealed that his wife bought stock in gilead sciences. Which makes the antiviral drug used to treat cove. Nineteen on february twenty six twenty twenty before the threat from the corona virus was fully understood by the public and before it was classified as a pandemic by the world health organization. Now the timing is important Especially because you had members of congress certainly various committees in the senate who were briefed In you know non-public meetings on corona virus so they had information about the severity of the pandemic before the general public did the purchase was of between one thousand and fifteen thousand dollars in stock in gilead which makes the antiviral drug known as rendez severe. The company stock was worth seventy dollars and seventy cents per share on the day of the purchase and rose above eighty dollars in march. It has since fluctuated and was worth sixty nine dollars and eighty four cents on the day of paul's disclosure more than a year later so again. It took him sixteen months to report this. He missed the deadline. I think that's a huge problem. I would argue is a far. Larger problem is that we have members of congress and the spouses of members of congress. Who are able to invest in individual stocks. That enough itself is a huge problem. Even if this gets investigated and there's no evidence of insider trading taking place the fact that you have congressional lawmakers and their families invested in individual stocks certainly serves a conflict of interest and so was there insider trading taking place. We don't know yet but we do have a few more details. Paul is a member of the senate health committee which in january in january hosted trump administration officials for briefing on the corona virus. So this briefing happens in january and then his wife ran. Paul's wife decides to buy a shares of from dusk severe which was later used as a treatment for corona virus in february. So i want to get your thoughts charles because this is an issue. That's been pretty infuriating. I mean when you really look at how widespread this problem is congress and how much it impacts some of the policy decisions. They make it shows you that this conflict of interest really does work against the best interests of the american people and the very individuals who voted these congressional lawmakers into office in the first place. Sore sure there is a sentiment. Among many people that the rich get richer and the borges orange so examples of stories like these are just fuel for the fire that suggests that there is going to be a class of people who continue to have in a class of people who will continue to have not and we're not talking about has and have nots. I'm talking about information as much as i'm talking about money. And you know you went as far as to say that members of congress and their families or their immediate families should not be allowed to trade publicly. And while i also you know sort of had that in my head in terms of something that i was mulling over our wasn't prepared to go that far how i was going to say that maybe there should be restrictions but the reality is when i think about it and i think it through. There's been story after story after story where we have seen that with the with the restrictions that are currently in place and the attempts that people have made the ethics committee in both houses of congress in terms of trying to create transparency around reporting and things of that nature. We still have continued violations. Right now senator richard. Burr is still under investigation from the f. e. c. around Around potential violations with respect to a insider trading and he is one of the remaining senators some of the other ones five fifteen and others will lafleur and others were were cleared during the initial poll. That took place in the wake of a number of stocks being dumped immediately before the announcement of of vars independent dynamic. I say all that to say what we've seen over and over again. Time and time again is that unfortunately people in positions power at least not in the united states congress can be trusted cannot be trusted to make good decisions when it comes to trading and having access to information and obviously in me in many cases all the longingly having the means to take advantage of that information in the market and so this is an example of something that unfortunately supports your position in my opinion because you know one would like to think that if you put out strict regulations for people in power that that would be enough but what we are seeing is that unfortunately that is not the case so you may be right and as much as perhaps the solution is just an altogether prohibition for that or members of congress and their immediate families indoor spouses in order to curtail this. Because i don't see it changing anytime soon. Iran paul at the end of the day. Not only should he know better but quite frankly he did no better yeah he of course he did no better. I think it's i mean the fact that he waited this long to disclose that his wife purchased this particular stock. I think is again. It's a huge red flag. But this goes beyond rand paul and his wife and i also want to clarify what i say. Lawmakers and their families. I'm not talking about extended families. I'm certainly talking about their immediate family. Their spouses Because they live in the same household and so if their wives or their husbands are buying shares of a company it still has the same impact as it would if it were the particular public servant doing it him or herself. And that's the thing. I would like our public servants to live up to that title. Being a public servant means that you have to sacrifice things including investing in individual stocks for companies that you are gonna make legislative decisions about and i love that you brought up a senator burr because that was really the story that forced me to kind of explore. How wide spread this problem is and i want to share this video with you. All because it gives you a sense of how wide spread it is and how much of a problem it becomes in terms of governing in march twenty twenty new spurred that for us senators.

"These are two Washington Post reporters. It's another trash mouth smear job on Donald Trump. It's number one. Number three is a book called Landslide the final days of the Trump presidency. Another Attempt to smear President Trump by Michael Wolff, who was a hit man in my opinion. The book in between these two number two on Amazon is American Marxism. This is a book that many of you have already acquired. You may be scratching your head. Well, how is this other book number one Because this is what they do. It'll be a hot book for a month or two, and then I'll go away. The problem is they don't go away. That is the people who are doing this to this country. And so The overwhelming majority of you. Have posted. It have comment that you appreciate the fact. That this book was written that it that it fuses with all the events that are swirling around us. And so but But then there were a handful. Enough already enough already who just want to go by the numbers paint by the numbers and these are people who are not going to help save the country. These are people who expect everybody else to save the country for them. So I reject them. I ignore them. If I can spend 16 months of my life, writing this book in the last three months of my life talking about it. In the next several months of my life again. Trying to promote what's in the book. Then I think it's okay. That we go over some of these issues. Going a little section of the program. To try and convey What's going on? Wouldn't be weird if I wrote this book, and I didn't talk about what's in it and yet say Go form a movement. Gobi activists go to this re Chapter five. Well, What does that mean? It means nothing. It's idiotic.

"Keyword is every weekday at 20 after the hour between 5:20 A.m. at 6 20 PM next chance to win next hours about 4 20. Is there any organization or agency in the state of California? Well, we know about the employment development department in the D. M v. The California Department of Public Health You probably got whiplash if you actually followed this story as it unveiled yesterday through the hours last week, the CDC said, all right when the kids go back into the classrooms If they're vaccinated, the teachers vaccinated don't have to wear the masks. California responded within hours on Friday and said, Oh, no, no, We're going to keep the mask mandate, then on Monday Not only did they announced that they did drop the three FT, social distancing rule, but They added, says here around three o'clock schools would have to excuse all students who did not comply with mask regulations. Well, apparently, in the ensuing hours, they were inundated with anger from up and down the state, not just at the California Department of Public Health people started calling their legislators in Sacramento. The California Globe says. A staffer by the name of Dana, a state capital staffer said We had a bunch of people calling offices here at the Capitol. We had so many at the end of the day we forward them to the California Department of Public Health. And the first thing they said was, Oh, my God, not more. So by 7 25 PM at the Department of Public Health, conceded and dropped the new mask enforcement rules. They're allowing local schools to do what they want on that end. Good see. This should have been going on for a year. It should have been going on since so two springs ago. So you may or may not have a local public school that is requiring the kids to wear masks. And if they don't they could be bought so suddenly up to public. I'll bet you l a unified keeps this rule. Oh, if there's not a revolt Against l, A unified the board the teachers union that you know that these parents deserve with what they get. They were the Kings of Science. And Then they start issuing more relaxed regulations or take. Certainly they're not credible by some of these suddenly you, would you you would think that they're like trump people. Right. Well, no. The CDC director is appointed by Biden. I These are these. The white ring the right wing. Anti mask anti vax extremists that are running the CDC. You think they were from the reaction here from the California government? They just don't believe they're cautious enough. California wants to be a leader in cause. I don't see. I think it's it's the control freak stuff. I really think this is so embedded in the souls of these bureaucrats here in California. Unlike most states, I think there's something wrong with this state. You know, we've got a story which I want to get to that reason magazine Poll. There's a surprising number of Americans. You want permanent restrictions on people's behavior? Beyond covid beyond when this episode is over, and you know, I'm realizing there's a lot of people who don't want other people to have freedom and to enjoy themselves and to be able to do what they want. And these people get into government. Part of it is the crowd that thinks I didn't get any colder anything last year. Let's keep this going mask up forever. You stay home. We could talk about that story. Next that, uh, that actually is a pretty good one because it started with a poll out of Britain. Yeah, were they found a lot of people saying the same thing that we need to continue? Restrictions are locked down. This is not the America I grew up in. It's a stunner. Yeah, we'll talk about this polling coming up. Next John and Ken K. F i. Deborah Marquez News. I mean, doesn't that message also mean? You know we're doing good. We're on the other side of this. Run the downhill, whatever you want, Whatever you want to say, and I don't think that necessarily encourages people to get to get the vaccine. If they're well, it's over, right. But if you don't have the vaccine, there's also another, you know, very telling story here on the side by side that this delta variant people, people who are getting covid right now. Are almost exclusively non vaccinated, but we knew that from the giving, I mean the whole reason. I mean, put it this way. Why did you get the vaccine? So I wouldn't get sick. Exactly. "Remain in some ways, just as interesting as important as the place that he did. Let's start with all of the particulars of this deal. By now, you've had 36 hours to digest it. Number one picks in the draft being traded for each other never happened before. Matthew Stafford a generation ago, Jared Goff. Just a few years ago, Jared Goff 16 months ago. Signs a contract that makes him the richest player in NFL history 16 months ago. Two years ago. This week, he was the starting quarterback in the Super Bowl. Today. He's a Detroit lion. Life comes at you fast. So what do we think? Let me start with this. I love it for the rains. Absolutely love it for the reins to me. This puts them directly among the Super Bowl favorite. I just finished up a TV show in which I played a game called Prisoner of the moment. I am that Am, if nothing else, a professional over reactor In my professional overreaction today is That the Los Angeles Rams are now on the shortest of short lists. BV team to beat in the N F. C. Tampa Bay's quarterback is going to be 44 years old next year. I don't know who the New Orleans Saints quarterback is going to be. I'm not 100% sure you know who Green Bay's quarterback is going to be. I think you're looking at some of the other teams and I reserve the right to absolutely a race. This if to Shawn Watson winds up in San Francisco, and that happens, forget it. If Shawn Watson winds up in San Francisco, it'll be the second time the Bay Area has ruined the sport for the rest of us in a decade. If you like the Warriors, adding Kevin Durant If the 40 Niners wind up with two Shawn Watson, then just forget it, But I don't expect that to happen. I guess I shouldn't say I don't expect it to happen in the absence of that happening. Believe the Rams have as good a chance as anyone. Matthew Stafford is a I believe, and he's going to get the chance to prove it Now. I think he is a terrific player. He has more than enough time left to have a full and complete second act second chapter of his career. He turned 33 a few days. That's more than enough time. Look at the age these quarterbacks applying to and I'll tell you what you love about Stafford. That's the effort. Week 17 of this past season last game of the year. Was on the injury report with three different injuries, three different injuries. The same week that, by the way, Carson went to was a healthy scratch. Because for the Philadelphia Eagles, he was out with hurt feelings. Matthew Stafford, with three different injuries played. Meaningless game and was in there fighting to the very end. Why? Because that's what he is. He's a football player. And he is out there fighting like crazy for his team to the very end. I love Stafford. I'm a huge effort fan, and I think they are set up for enormous success in L. A. It does not mean that this does not come with significant risk. Can a man made that point with us this morning. They have zero margin for error. It's reckless and irresponsible to go eight years without a first round pick. You have great core players Erin Donald, Jalen Ramsey, But if any of them get hurt, it's over. And then when you layer on top of that, that you have to keep good young players like Josh Johnson, Troy Hill, Leonard Floyd You have a very small window with no margin for error. Yeah, I get that. I think it is totally right. But you know what? Cannot sit here and criticize the Green Bay Packers for trying to win next year's Super Bowl and this year's Super Bowl at the same time. And not love it when the Rams go all in Los Angeles Rams have gone all in Trying to win a championship in this window. Have the best defensive player in the National Football League, and Aaron Donald, a generational talent, a transcendent star. Have Jalen Ramsey, who was as good a cover corner is there isn't a sport. They have good weapons on the offensive side. They have a good offensive line. They run the football with two different guys. They have two different tight ends. They got Cooper Cup. They got Robert Woods. Now they have a quarterback who was a difference maker and you're going to see it. Good to see what Matthew Stafford has never had a chance to show you. We could be Now, let's get to the straight talk brought to you by straight talk Wireless. As I told you, Jared Goff is 16 months removed from signing the largest guaranteed contract in NFL history. You took a team two years ago that the 20th ranked defense to the Super Bowl. The Rams with number one scoring offense in the NFL in the two seasons. 17 and 18 with golf is their quarterback. He had a passer rating of over 100, both So the question is What happened? And the answer. If you're in Los Angeles, Is it the answer? Better be golf and not make them Because what they have done now is they've gotten all in on traumatic thing. Try McVeigh is the boy genius. He is the boy wonder he is the young superstar coach. That took Jared Goff from being a bust, Looking lost his rookie year under Jeff Fisher. Becoming all the things that I just named you. Super Bowl starting quarterback and the largest guaranteed contract in the history of the sport. John McVeigh got and gets all of the credit in the world for that. However..
