"From Way back. Derek Carr, not David. I don't think you don't like cars. Yeah, Well, no. You like David Carr? Yeah. McLovin, Jamie's Whitson. Oh, yeah, like 90 yards, but that's what I'm saying. He threw five touchdowns for 15 yards. We had 148 yard break. Yeah, I'm just throwing it out there. Just conversation. They're going to throw a parade for James Winson on Monday. Yes, Tom. And who are all these people that are overrating Derek Carr. A lot of people still feel that is not the answer. And no matter he threw for 4 900 yards Still, I don't think this is not long term guy. Okay? He threw for 700 yards behind his receivers, though. Wow. Wow well through the 1st 111 games, there's one player with more yards and funeral energy, fewer interceptions than Derek Carr. One player. In history. The 1st 111 games. One player with more passing yards and funeral interceptions than Derek Carr. He is still playing. He's still really good. Aaron Rodgers. That's it. And I know numbers lie, but Intent. You know, Jared Car will never be as good as we think he should be. It's just not Um And and Gruden always loves the quarterback. He doesn't have because you know when Derek Carr moves on to another team that Jon Gruden will say nice things about him and probably, you know, wish that he had Derek Carr, but he he doesn't always like And when Jon Gruden wins, he doesn't win with great quarterbacks. Anyone with Brad Johnson. Yes, but only if you go back to the draft A couple years ago, Everyone thought that Gruden was gonna trade all that draft capital. Got for Komac trade up to get Kyler Murray should he have Well, I know he loved Kyler Murray knowing what you know what Kyler Murray and Derek Carr right now, if you had to do over well, I thought that they would have a new quarterback going into the new stadium. And that's why I thought they were going to go in on Kyler Murray because Sources close to me Tell me that Jon Gruden loved. He loved Kyler Murray and then told somebody Hey, don't you tell somebody what you just saw. And it was that you know, John Kind of confessed his love for Kyler Murray. Like those short guys tall guys can't even see sons in that came and look up at him at the short guy. Yes, eaten. The thing with Derek Carr is that you get the sense when you're watching them that you're like, Okay, all right. He's figuring it out. This is going to be the year, but he's been there seven years. He's 30 years old. It's just like What other poll question do you have before we take a break? Okay. Back to the man is if I gave you one choice of traditional broadcast or the Manning broadcast, But you can't flip to either you have you have to stay on one for the entire game. Uh um I would still stay with traditional I think I could get the highlights of Manning Night football after the fact but it's nice to flip back and forth. But I still more of the traditional broadcast because I'm watching the game. I love the stories, but I can I can hear about the stories after the game. All right. We'll take a break. Luis Riddick was in the Monday night night booth last night and he'll join us coming up. Get his thoughts on Lamar Jackson that performance and as they move forward, what kind of concerns does he have for both of these teams? Will check in with USC because USC is in the market for a new head coach, and there's already some wild speculation. Wild. We'll run down the list of possibilities. Have a source who is, uh, got somebody inside the U. S. C program Who's helping me with some information as we speak. So once I get that let you know 8773 DP Show. Email address. "Out of the Ravens. You know, I told the beginning of this we did our previews, and I said, I don't see the Ravens having a big season. It's It's going to be very difficult to lose the running backs the way they did Not really at any wide receivers looking at it. Sammy Watkins. That's great, right. Sammy Watkins is just a guy. The Raiders are an average team. Uh, so far tonight, it feels like it's going to be Lamar Jackson everywhere and when you can focus in on just him, which you can. You don't really have guys that are big threats out of the backfield. You can shut him down and he is not having a big game right now. I mean, yes. You want to look at fantasy and say, Oh, wow. He's throwing for touchdowns thrown for 200 yards. He's run for 50. They got 17 points. The offense really has not had a big night. They're not really controlling the line of scrimmage like they have. Lamar Jackson's not making all the big plays that he is normally making, And it's going to be really tough. Because already this is a Ravens team that doesn't have a lot of weapons. And now they're down all their running backs and Sammy Walk ins, the guy you edit wide receiver room, Okay, I'm just not feeling him. Yeah, I would have liked obviously a splash your name if you're going into the free agent world, But let's not forget they did draft Rashad Bateman, who is going to be a big player for them. Once he gets back from the surgery that he had to have, so it's going to be a few weeks. Until we see him. But big ball here to Sammy Watkins again of 49 Remember, you're also working through the fact that you lost a couple three running backs, even if you don't like Justice Hill. He was on the initial depth chart. So he's one of three Latavius Murray signed off the street six carries 15 yards. Williams had the big run 35 yard touchdown. He's at nine for 65. So trying to establish balance. You're not trying to make excuses, but it is a work in progress. And in the secondary. You have the huge loss as well of Marcus Peters. You've had a couple of guys go down in this game as we see Gerald McCoy carted off for the Raiders here after that last place, so we'll keep an eye on his status. But Gg your point, excitable and thinking that the you know the proverbial sky's the limit. Well, no, because now you have to worry about Pittsburgh to who looked really good. And and often times in the game and the win against Buffalo. So suddenly, the team that might have looked like they could be dropped off. Well, they're right back in it, and their defense was fantastic, right? I mean, which would you expect? Terrific. Yeah. And you get the big special teams play. So those diving off the buffalo bandwagon. I'll take your shares, Uh, right right now, But it's just that kind of thing, Right? Don't overreact over week one. There are some things you can be a bit concerned about. And maybe you breathe a little easier after For this last play, but For the Ravens. But it is the type of thing that it will be a work in progress. As you try to develop some balance in that backfield and try to figure out you know where where your big players are going to come from downfield. Speaking of big place, I told you Hey, I'm not really buying the Ravens running game A well, Latavius Murray is just gone in from eight yards out to give the Ravens a 23 17 lead. Extra point is pending. Uh, so the Ravens after that turnover, and Josh Jacobs touchdown. Go down and get the go ahead score. So if last hour if we talked about my biggest concern after week, one in the NFL was the Packers and their offensive line, which, clearly things can get ugly fast, because you can already tell in Green Bay as much as this season of the off season, when you get to the preseason, rather, the off season was rough with the pre season was pretty smooth. They were going to get out here. We're going to play well, they got absolutely boat raced and their offensive line. Is very bad because they're missing. A couple of starters Battery goes on the published to start We told you that was a big big deal that they're missing big pieces off the ol and look what happened if they don't get that fixed. It's a powder cake in Green Bay. That's going to just explain Rogers Rogers spent too much time this offseason. I can't stand it anymore. Let's get him out. All these bad things are gonna happen. But the second thing I am most concerned about this season, even though they won yesterday, right and winning masks a lot of things When they have the quarterback they do You think they can pull everything out my second biggest concern after week one. Are the chiefs specifically because of their defense. All right now, the Chiefs are a team that already treats the regular season like, well, it's something we've got to get through until we get to the playoffs. Right. There's not a lot of sense of urgency. They kind of rely on Patrick Mahomes to bail them out and make big plays. Right And we can play just okay for 2.5 quarters, But Patrick Mahomes has a really good seven minutes and suddenly hey, it's down. 10 were up 17. And now and now the game is over. They pull out the win against the Browns yesterday, which was great. Would they have done it? Had the Browns not had that big punch snafu. Probably not, but they still win the game, but they win it because my home is in the offense is able to pull it out and give them the lead. At the end. They're playing at home. This was a game that the Browns controlled the vast majority of it and then when it came down to the end The Chiefs because they're the Chiefs made those plays while the Browns are still working towards winning. Look, it was a free game for the Browns. We weren't supposed to win. I thought they were going to win. I still feel as good about the Browns as I did last week, when I told you they were going to the Super Bowl. I still feel that the only game they're not gonna be favored in all year long and they still almost pulled it out. But the Chiefs their defense is bad. It's not a good defense. This is not an offence that should be putting up those kinds of numbers. Uh, you know, this should be an offense that kind of grinds it out and is able to a you know we're going to score enough points and gradually pull away and win games. Uh, not look like they did for most of the game yesterday, and that's a big eye opener. Right? Mayfield goes for 3 20. Right. They run for 150 yards on the ground. Um, that's not going to get it done. You can't rely on my homes at once You relying on my homes every single week to bail you out, That's not going to happen..

"Josh got to put the ball on him, or, uh, We think Josh has got enough time. If he looks to the right guy who gets to the second read whatever the case may be. If they make adjustments. I'm sure they did yesterday. Make adjustments Series by series, not at halftime or by the quarter. Every time they come off the field, they're talking about what the defense was doing to him. Yeah. Let's go back to the phones. We go to Joe in east Aurora. Joe, What do you have for us? You're on one bills live German. Uh, Two dogs as Question in the statement. Question for Steve. When they pull it up ball and it was blocked. Immediately what I looked at the screen. I thought that point it was standing too close to the line. And then what do you thoughts on that steep and then, um, If they both keeping this bar. Including Aalen and running game. Law of averages one these times is going to get part. There goes the Super Bowl, and there goes, uh, $43 million of builds money. What do you guys think about this? So why don't you take the special teams play there? The black blocked punt. You know, I didn't. I haven't even looked that close at what I what I notice. First and foremost was that Haak took four steps to pawn it. And you're right. He is He's way too close. Um, yes. Back at 11 or 12 yards instead of 15 yards. Um, that's there It is. Yeah, we saw it on. We saw it on the on the thing he is standing at the ninth. The balls at the well, I don't know if we run it back. We can. We can Um We can look at it again. But he is standing if he's standing too close to the line of scrimmage as the punter, I mean how How hard is it to count 15 yards, right? It's got to be 15 and that because he steps in and you're right, and then he took two small steps and then his too regular to step the balls on the 22. Yeah, he's standing at 12.5. Or 13.5 yards, and he steps up into what amounts to a Steelers huddle to try and punish doubt here. It was a jailbreak. It was not. Let's not make any bones about this face it if he's a yard half further back, the guy can't block that with the way he does, he's going to do something different here, Hands and took too many steps to get that off. And here's indication of that, And we appreciate the call Joe. Thanks for that, Um The indication that he's too close to the line of scrimmage is the fact that the guy that blocked the punt oftentimes when we see pumps that are blocked, and Steve knows this far better than I do, but Usually you have guys laying out just to get a fingertip on the ball. Put the brakes on. This guy could have sat down and had lunch with him like he didn't even have to extend his arms. He's right there. Yeah, um, and just as a frame of reference most punters this day and age Take a maximum of two steps. Yeah, maximum. It's a It's a two second. Get off time around there. At one point, he took a gather. He took like a little hop step, and then it's two steps, and by then it's too late in this league. Especially if you're up a yard and a half closer than you should be. So there were there were a bunch of things that that were not executed properly. On that so Yeah, That's why you got what you got. Here is the thing If you're if you're lining up at 15 yards on the on the On the at the line of We can get that if we get the punt if we could put it on the screen, the punt And freeze it and freeze it right where you got it and give us an idea of how far back is supposed to be 15 yards exactly. And He's not. He's not. The ball is on back it up. But okay, So, um, um We're not gonna get that They're snapping it from the 23 23 He standing on the 14. No, the 10. He's standing on the 10. So, um, she was 14 years 14 Yard closer. Yeah, that me That means something. You can then takes an extra step, and he takes into the formation. Well, if he as he catches it, he takes too small steps to gather himself. You can't you gotta go. Don't have time to go. You don't have to attack the ball and get it off you wait on. You know these guys wait on the snap to get back there and Takes too small steps and then two big ones to pawn it, and it's too late. And and, plus, there's a absolute jailbreaks, not the Steelers were coming after it. It was their plan in the kitchen. That was their plan to block it. Yeah. Too many steps is about a yard closer and then took an extra step, which made him another yard closer. Right. So now instead of 15, it's 13 yards. And that's why the guy that got there first didn't even have to go. Full extension. It's like 40. Yeah, he stood at 14. And shuffle stepped up to 13. Then took two steps and you block point goes from being at 11.5 12.5 to 10.5. You know you get blocked. Plus, they're coming after it and use it And it's always more than one thing that does it. There's probably there will probably be umpteen punts this year for Matt Hawk, where he gets the ball off that slow or slower and it's fine. But when they're coming after it Understanding closes the first and it's the first rep of the season or one of the first reps of the season. You're not quite yet seen a lot of things yet on a punt rush, and there's some things they want to throw at you. They haven't seen or haven't prepared for. You gotta be ready for it. Used to haven't seen enough to stop it well enough. Yeah, It's a confluence of events that leads to bad things, and it happened early in the season for the bills. It is a Buffalo football Monday. It's your phone calls wall to wall, Gary and Wheat Field. Tony and South Buffalo. Others open lines for you at 80305 50. Your big ways from yesterday's weak one defeat at the hands of the Steelers coming up next here on one bills.

"Ball came out Seahawks have the ball. Carson wins trying to duck down underneath ball is recovered by DJ Read. You can hear the Seahawks fans in the background. There is a lot of them at Lucas Oil Stadium on fourth Down and one Carson Wentz coughs up the football to Seahawks recover and they turned the ball right back over to the Seahawks. I can't imagine nuts mentioned the couple places Jamal me today. Holy cow. Um, just exactly like I told him to do it just remarkable plays, and he's got so many of them. I just can't wait for our fans to see him and be able to watch what he does and be able to see how he creates and stuff Russell from the shotgun again. Takes a quick snap pump fakes looks, fires and cyber cup making a catchment gift Touchdown Seahawks on a slant route inside man to Man, You cannot cover DK medcath. He scores from 15 yards out, the Seahawks increased their lead to 27 to 10. Everybody knows what they're going to get out of us. And, uh and I'm starting to figure that out about Shane and Tyler. I mean, Chris Carson even played great. The old line played great, so The defense was amazing as well. So I mean, it was just, you know, a great game all around and just happy. We got to win. Seattle loads up the line of scrimmage. Play fake to Taylor went gets hit deep and goes down and Dunlop just comes off the outside and doesn't stop until he plants Carson. When we can always hear the Seahawks fans, you know, we can always hear the 12. They were allowed, as could be, especially at the end of the game. Especially in certain moments. When we hit those big touchdowns and anything else, they just they roar like no other, You know, it's just cool to be back. You know, we haven't had fans for year, you know, and so to be able to experience that again to feel that again, home or away, it was really cool. And now we have to go back home, the best place in the world. And so it'll be fun. That's in Sunday this Sunday when the Titans come to town. Very different story for the Huskies, though, uh, on Saturday They're going to have a tough season Looks like 12 minutes past six o'clock, Let's get.

"Have to do to convert here? I mean, they're doing everything right. That first drive. They marked truck right down the field. Obviously it had the bad turnover into the end zone. But on third down, they have to be able to convert those third in shorts. That's what they struggled last year, doing it with 30% of National Football League. They have to be able to do that if they want to get some points on the board. In the first half, Bears will start 1st and 10 from the 25. Here's the snap toss player Williams Racing left of the numbers looking for room he finds none. He's going to be hit in the backfield and dropped Damian Williams driven down, backing it up. 22 Troy reader led the charge. It will be a loss of three breeder had some help from his friends. There was three white jerseys waiting for Damien Williams. And I'd like Peggy's game plan because it runs and quick rhythm throws. But somewhere down the line, you're gonna have to take shots to get everybody to loosen up a little bit. Second down 13. Now for the Bears ball, the far side left half of the 22 yard line. Dalton the shotgun, two receivers left to the right. Williams remains any lines up. The Daltons right now will shift off to his left Now, Dolton send him in motion out to the right. Here's the snap Dalton back to pass. He looks he looks he throws and that one is called the numbers right side at the 30 yard line by Goodwin over the 35 to 40 and finally run out of bounds. David Long was in coverage and ran them out. There's a penalty flag as well. They've got him marked out right now. At the 41 yard line again in 19. We'll see about the marker personal foul, grasping the face last 22 defense 15 yards ability. At the end of the play automatic. First down Robinson the good from David Long Now we see the bad getting beat, Thereby Goodwin. He just He just ran a curl route and Dave along with playing off coverage. Played very soft, easy throw and catch by Dalton to the receiver, And then once he comes outside, he got you have to get your hands down away from the face mask. They know they're going to call all those type of penalties against the defense that will move it down to the Rams. 44 Justin Fields is back in for his second snap of the ball game. He lines up with the shotgun. Two receivers left one of the right here's the snap..

"Plus I got my peaches I n Georgia get from California so much up to the North York better Well since Bieber mentioned Georgia, I guess I'll tell you what's going on in Atlanta. Why don't I eight minutes dollar things in that song, But we lead with Georgia so we'll go there, you know. Uh, eagles right now, on top of the Falcon's bid time with the football, Even it's to go in the fourth quarter Eagles lead 22 to 6 and perhaps you're wondering what the numbers are. Maybe for your fantasy team. Let me help you out with that. Jalen hurts 25 of 33 241 passing yards to passing touchdowns. Miles Sanders leads the way for Philadelphia in terms of Kerry's 15 for 74 yards. Kind of gain well does have a rushing touchdown. Devante Smith has a receiving touchdown and Dallas Goedert has a receiving touchdown as well. On the other side, Mattie Ryan 138 passing yards is pretty good. Cordero Patterson, seven carries For 54 yards. He leads the way in terms of Russian Calvin Ridley 44 yards receiving leads the way for the Falcons again. Eagles on top 22 to 6 It's Game Day on ESPN Radio, the estimate. The ESPN app Shea and Jordan Cornette here with you. I'm going to He's locked and loaded on all these games right now, But I'm going to give him an update that I know he cares a lot about because my husband here is from Cincinnati and wearing a Joe Burrow jersey fight at Bangles. I don't know that he's going to be happy about this. Dalvin cook a one yard rushing TD TD makes it 34. I'm sorry 24 to 21, Cincinnati again. Dalvin Cook. One yard rushing TD makes it 24 to 21 Cincinnati. Unfortunately, Joe Burrow was just sacked on third and five sacked and limping off the field. Limping off on his own, but limping off the field after taking that sack and knowing what happened to that left knee, two tornadoes cl everybody, everybody Holding on and hoping for the best there Now I did walk up the field himself but limped to the bench and took his seat and they went to commercial break. So that is something for everybody to monitor. Even if you're forgetting a Bengals fan, just a fan of football, Joe Burrow. You want to see that guy? Stay out there and play for sure. No doubt about it. Let's go to Indianapolis Seahawks at Colts. All right, D K. Metcalf took a pass from Russell Wilson for 15 yards. Finally, we have a D. K. Metcalf, citing it is 28 to 10 Seattle.

"Came up with the ball. Darius Leonard. Did the peanut Tillman punch Carson was running through the whole didn't see Darius Leonard coming from the inside Darius instead of trying to make the tackle used that left handed punches that ball out. Tremendous job by him. Defensive coaches do so many balls, stripping drills and practice. Now you lift the elbow up, rip the hand off. You punch the football out that time barriers with a great job punching that ball out India there 45 now first down, and 10 Taylor the loan running back whence under center play action fake to tailor its a screen to Taylor. No white jerseys in the area to the 51st sideline, 40 and down he goes great call there. That's 15 yards, Trey flowers in on the stop and an Indianapolis first down and they're going to go quickly with tempo now. From the Seattle from the Seattle 40 Yard line. Um, Seahawks brought markets Blair on the blitz. He was responsible for Taylor. He kept going to the quarterback. That's why he was so wide open for that screen. Pass Taylor on a little delay going up the middle, still keeps the legs going. That's nice work down to the 36 yard line, picked up four. And Brian Mode and on the stop, So this is a talk about turning points in games. This might be one with the Colts trailing by 11 and 4 50 to go in the third quarter. The defense forces a turnover And now the Colts are at the 36 of Seattle. Second down and four again. Taylor again He goes up the middle, and he's stuffed. But he got to the 33 yard lines. So three more yards and a manageable third down in seven should be third down in three coming up after seven yards total on the first two plays after the first down Monet again and on the tackle for the C Arcs. I'm surprised that Colt didn't try to go down the field so often. After a fumble interception of sudden change situation, the offensive coordinator dials up some deep play they want with the screen pass. We'll see if they get more aggressive..

"Drive by the Colts that stalled at the two yard line on the opening possession. How about 14 plays? 72 yards Drive took nine minutes and 19 seconds, and Blankenship ends it with a 21 yard field goal, kicking from the correct spot. And here's the kick off from right to left. And let's see. Returnable. Yes, coming out near sideline at the 10 deejay Dallas across the 15 and down at the 19 Yard line gave it a shot gets up to the 1922 under return a tackled by Matthew Adams. By the way. Carson Wentz on the opening drive, 45 33 yards and Jonathan Taylor carried it five times for 15 yards. So now we're going to look at the new Seattle offense, we think Shane Waldron, the new offensive coordinator, Russell Wilson will be the quarterback Seahawks will move from left to right. Starting at the 19 yard lawn last year, Wilson threw for 4212 yards, 40 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Chris Carson will be is starting running back and they'll pitch it to Carson. Why'd sweep far side lab Brown trying to lead the way the big left tackle? And Carson is cut off. As he tried to get to the 25. But they only up to the 22 Julian Blackmon in on the stops. It'll be second out in seven after a game of three queen pays the name we may call. On the Colts defense tonight. The rookie from Michigan gets a start. Darius Leonard leads the linebacking Corps T. J. Carey starts in in place of Xavier Rhodes in the secondary ball 22 as Wilson sizes up, the defense settles in under his center Ethan Post Carson, the running back captains in motion near side, right. Play action. Fake Wilson rolls near side Right, Looking downfield can't find anybody. Now he's going to take off and run and shoved out of bounds at the 24 yard line. That was great pursuit by Mohammed for Indianapolis. So now third down, coming up and five yards to go for Seattle. First out no place for Russell Wilson to go with that football. Great coverage by the cold, secondary missing Xavier Rhodes. No problem there covered up DK Man Capital crossing route, no place for Russell Wilson to go with the football. Seahawks on third Down a year ago. 40% that ranked 20th in the National Football League. This is third and four is the crowd is making noise from their own 25 yard line, and Wilson out of the gun back to pass. He's in trouble scrambling. They're going to get him first set and there's also a flag on the play at the line of scrimmage. We may have had a full start. False start. Offense number 14 5 Yard penalty means third down. So that will push the ball back to the 20 yard line and make it third down and long. There was a bunch of formation three receivers to the left side of the Seahawks office. Those guys couldn't decide who was on the ball, who was supposed to be off the ball. A lot of conversation between those three receivers. DK meant capitalism.

Snap the Bennett Hand off White Big hole Left tackle breaks a tackle at the 40. Zeus pushing ahead across the 45 to the 47 yard line. And the crowd let Zeus here his name. As he broke a tackle from bowler the strong safety. You've got to bring more stuff to get the net to get the juice on the ground. Noah Wilder made the final stop at the 47 after the scan. Energy first down, you told opened up right off the back side of Schaefer. And then a nifty little cut there by Zeus to pick up another five yards yet 13 on the carry. And it's first down dogs from our own 47 yard line with Zeus in the backfield play fake. Now Stetson holds and throws and it is incomplete, trying to go to Marcus Roosevelt Jack, saying he had a lot of white shirts around him at the Blazers 38 yard line with the pass is incomplete. "Ranked Notre Dame leads Florida State 38 28 J. Ram with the Notre Dame punter. Was knocked down. As soon as he punted. The ball was fourth down and nine penalty flags came out If that would have been a 15 yard personal foul automatic first down, there was a long discussion with the officials and the Notre Dame sideline consisting of Brian Kelly and Brian Polian. They decided it was just a five yard penalty. That means the ball did go back to Florida State. They begin first down and 10 On their own 12 yard line. I think the coach Polian and coats Kelly were upset because if the player is making a play on the ball typically, that's just the roughing the kicker in five yards, But the player for Florida State hit the mid side of J. Bramblett. He wasn't even trying to go towards the foot in the ball, and that's where coach Kelly and Post Polian in my opinion. Very upset. Still upset. Lawrence to affiliates the tail back to the right of Jordan. Travis. He's gone the entire way. We have not seen Mackenzie Milton at all. Last time, Florida State had the ball. They went. 15 plays 75 yards. Touchdown at a two point conversion. Travis takes the shotgun snap hands off inside. So a Philly breaks a tackle the backfield out across the 20 yard line Heck of a run there that could have been a lawsuit to but he fought off that tackle and split out to the left side. And picked up 11 yards. JD Bertrand, with the tackle, just finishing through the sidelines. Excellent finish. Minorities Defense, First down and 10, Florida State on their own 22 moving right to left. Come right back to the ground game up the middle drew white. With a tackle at the 23 yard line on Lawrence to affiliate wrapped him up from behind and dragged him back. Only again of one clock continues to tick, 9 48 and counting left in the game drew white, just faking right there, too, making to affiliate come back inside, even though that's exactly where he was just by showing his shoulders a little bit. Notre Dame three down linemen they do bring one extra linebacker on the blitz. Travis stands in now runs out to his left across the 2025 30 in the near sideline across the 40 45 steps out of bounds, help the ball in the pocket for quite a while and saw that space to the left. Took off by himself in game 21 yards down the near sideline. Notre Dame's defense is gas. That was the first time Florida state's offensive line has kept Notre Dame's defensive line off of Jordan. Travis. They're getting tired out there, and that's right right now, Sometimes they have a plan, not saying this is happening. But if you go down as a player, the clock stops, you've got to get taken off the field. Some coaches I've played for had that call. And we'll take a break. 9 20 left in the fourth quarter time out on the field for a Notre Dame player who's down at the 45 will check on who that is, and let you know when we come back. It's Cam Heart the corner. He is sitting up as they tend to his lower body..

Then the pack hits the road for their final preseason game that will be Saturday in Buffalo. Against the Bills. It's time for extra points on sports opinion commentary on Wisconsin's Morning news. Here's Brian D. What do you want from us? Matt After Saturday's home loss to the Jets, Packers head coach Matt the floor publicly chastised Packers fans for being too loud when his offense was on the field. I know the audacity of people to pay to show up at a sporting event and have fun. How dare they? Look, I understand what he's saying. Packers fans do need to be a little smarter about when they're making noise. The wave and go pack go chance can create a distraction. You don't want to make communication more difficult while your own team is trying to operate. All that being said. We're coming off of a season where fans weren't allowed in the stadium at all. We're talking about an organization that's recently campaigned its fans to be more engaged during games. We are not far removed from foghorns and get loud Lambo. "Illinois com Whether it's like casual or die hard, I don't know if you agree or disagree, but I think that's a joke. Once it's taken to me, That's it. You would like to see Lennon like a goal kick. Yeah, I assume Because you have to have a dead ball. Then you have to whistle of debt. Essentially, which is the one should be dead ball. That's the one thing, though. In soccer, you don't really unless it goes out of bounds, or you have a foul. You don't generally have a stoppage of play, So that's the one you know you kind of changing the game dramatic. Every time they score goal. They stopped play for three minutes, so these guys can celebration. I mean, I know it's hard to score in soccer. My God, I mean, the thank heavens. There's a lot of scoring in this this tournament. I think there was a lot more scoring in this tournament that I've seen another tournament, So yeah. That's why I think this tournament's been entertaining, exciting. It is and I enjoy soccer very much. Spain, Italy first half though we're almost put me asleep, like, please, guys, let's go. One more excitement. Nobody wanted to make the mistake. Nobody want to make the first mistake. The second half the game opened up a little more. It was funny to watch I'd be up for changing that rule. There are other rules. There are rules here in American football, that I'd be up for changing and I know you're going. I disagree on this one. I think it's way too punitive for a team to lose possession when they fumble the offensive team through the end zone. It reared its ugly head in a big playoff game and Arrowhead last year between the Chiefs and the Browns. The Browns were going into maybe make that a close game at the half. There was a big swing going into halftime there, and I believe the rules committee was going to address that this offseason. I kind of lost track of that. I don't know that they change that session of the football is very important in the NFL. Yeah, I know. We disagree on this one. Very important thing is way too punitive. You fumble through the end zone. You're going in the ball gets fumbled. It doesn't go out of bounds or it hits the Piland pylons the end zone. Remember, that's correct. That's a touchback. Ball goes back to the other team. You have to possess the ball. In the great game of the NFL. Your Koh's argument. We disagree on that one. I think it's a real that. What about this rule real quick and we'll grab some calls in the NFL. I still think it's a little too punitive pass interference is a little too little bit too harsh on the and the defensive team. Yeah, I think it should be 15 Remember Holding used to be 15 yards to go back 10 or so much holding. Then they just said, Okay, these guys going to hold right, let's not give her access. It's not at the point of attack. They They have minimize certain penalties. Would you be fine with the college rule? Would you be fine with 15 yards in the first down instead of a spot foul? The automatic first down is tough on defensive holding. Yeah, 15. That's true. That's holding. I wouldn't give it the automatic first down. I give it to five yards and you get to do the doubt all over again that the automatic first down this little bit ludicrous. That's that's good point. But they want the offense. I like to pass interference penalty. I like it. Are you okay with love the distance you're going. I disagree. And if Obama did the answer on the balls at the one yard line interference that's awfully rough man. I wouldn't mind if they change that to the college and just said 15 years, didn't it used to be 15 yards back in the old Days? York or was it always A spot foul. It was on the NFL. Was it always spot file in college football? It's that no, no, I know, but I thought the anything I thought Khan was right. I thought like in the sixties, maybe, and I feel like even I feel like even when I was a little kid, am I crazy that it was still only 15 yards in the NFL? We'll double check that somebody knows. Check it. We want to 3323776. Alex isn't wheeling. Hey, Alex. Take arm. I think you're correct on the shootout because every other sport like with the NHL, when there's um a direct shot with NBA and the technical free throws you don't get to play on if someone misses from that. It's an automatic stoppage right after the play is done, and the player takes the shot, So I think that's that's a good point. Because I don't you don't see it everywhere else. But I think what makes this worse, too, is that it's England and their their fan base. Just soft like you're talking about the most urgent team that hasn't won anything since 1966 and they always say it's coming home, but they will win this, so I think they're still overcompensating for losing the Revolutionary War. The royalty members keep coming over to America to the losing them and every single tournament, the euro the World Cup. We hear it's comin home. It's coming home coming home. Nowhere. Yeah, whatever it is, it's awesome. Michael had a funny line going into the game because coming home has it ever been home, Alex? Thanks. That was pretty funny like because you haven't haven't been here. Euro certainly hasn't been here last time. They wouldn't be Germany since it was West Germany, for crying out loud, So that's a reference to a a song that was recorded in 1996. I believe England with a hosting it that year, and they recorded a song about the World Cup trophy coming home. And so now they busted out every single major tournaments and they have failed to actually getting your five. They haven't beaten Germany since Franz Beckenbauer was alright alright, we'll grab a few more calls. And what am I crazy? Should they change? That rule in soccer and other rules that you like to see change 3123323776. We'll be right back. You're listening to climate in your co.
