Fresh "15 Points" from Bloomberg Daybreak Europe

"The thing that drives me every day is dead is very honest. We call them day day for sure. Every day he's hungry for something, whether it's attention, affection, knowledge, and there's this huge responsibility and making sure that when he's no longer under my wing that he's a good person, I want him to be able to sit back one day and go, we work together, we did a good job. That's dedication. Find out more at fatherhood dot gov, brought to you by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the ad council. Influential conversations from Bloomberg television. Here's Anna Edwards. Let's bring in cast and brisket ING's chief economist who joins us now and global head of macro. At Carson, great to have you with us. Perhaps our conversations around a pivot from the fed are a little too binary and I wonder if you can explain what a meaningful pivot will look like to you Carson because some people seem to be talking about stopping hiking so much. Others are talking about stopping hiking and others are talking about cuts and depending on what your interpretation of the word pivot is. You can get to a different time horizon. So what are you thinking about And I think you can have very long pivot, isn't it? So for us, the pivot really would be stop hiking rates. It's not going to come now, but this should come at the end of the year. I think when you look at what happened this week, elsewhere, we had the reserve bank of Australia, yesterday already signaling a kind of pivot only hiking by 25 basis points. We have the polar Central Bank, which actually stopped hiking interest rates. So if you look very closely around the globe, we already do see that some central banks are at least slowing down. The pace of tightening or even stopping it. So for the fed, it would be what is the pivot, the pivot means bringing an end to the hiking cycle and we think that's going to happen already at the end of this year. Here, more conversations like this one on Bloomberg television, streaming live on Bloomberg dot com and on the Bloomberg mobile app or check your local cable listings. These figures have dropped by slightly more than have been expected. That 1.3% is the actual expectation of it for 1.2%, so those disappointing economic figures giving us an indication of how things are trading for the largest economy in Europe, looking ahead towards the start of European equities trading later, your stock 50 futures are a third of 1% lower this morning, Wall Street futures are two tenths of 1% lower this as of course we're looking ahead to the U.S. non farm payrolls figures out at one 30 today the expectation is for a job growth of 255,000 jobs that would be less than in August, but still showing very strong labor markets in the U.S. and of course the question that's being asked on markets is how will that feed into the feds thinking and whether or not despite the hawkish massage we've been getting from officials from the fed over the past couple of days whether or not that might give us signs of a potential pivot in fed policy the ten year treasury yield is a basis point and a half higher this morning, three spot 84 is where that's trading the Bloomberg dollar spot index is a tenth of 1% stronger against the pines trading at one 1149 97 85 against the Euro. Harnessing the Return of 2016 MAGA Energy

"Want to start with where we're at. Carrie Lake has won the Arizona primary for governor. Maga candidates across the country are winning their primaries. This Republican Party is a grassroots party, ready to fight, ready to govern, ready to improve people's lives, ready to put their citizens first, but the pressure is now going to be on. And as we warned early in the week, the midterm elections are all but a certain thing. Democrats are adjusting. Democrats are going to outspend us, they control the media. They control social media, they control our election system, and they are going to be willing to cut corners at every single turn to try to get their preferred candidates across the finish line. The generic ballot is tightening, the generic congressional vote, according to Rasmussen reports, Republicans only lead by three points. Whereas a couple months ago, Republicans led by 15 points. We're seeing one race in particular that we endorsed in Washington, Joe Kent is only down by 1.8 points with lots of ballots still to be counted. Again, Kerry Lake Blake masters, all one in Arizona. However, as we look towards the midterms, Republicans only have a .1 lead if you average all of the generic ballot polls, a .1 point lead barely taking back the House of Representatives. Barely. And the U.S. Senate is a complete coin toss. It shouldn't be that way with inflation open borders, CRT woke as an anti americanism, war on American energy, it should be a complete blowout. Now some of these polls might be suppression polls and misrepresentations. You can usually add 5 or 6 to all these polls that's usually a good rule of thumb. But make no mistake. Democrats, they know they're going to lose, but their strategy right now is a very smart one. That's right. I'm saying the Democrats are using a smart strategy. They're basically saying we want to lose less. They know that midterms can be very hard. Joe Biden is deeply unpopular and Republicans will be outspent. At every corner. Now

Is the Republican Wave Building Fast?

"Which means the business of the house. It goes nomos. Where is my article here? Yes, there it is. By Chris Solis, the Republican wave is building fast. With just over 5 months before the 2022 midterm elections use, that's where they're wrong. It's not 5 months voting begins in four months, actually. Since we have voting month in America, it's kind of this perpetual voting season. On Thursday, the cook political report, Amy Walter, a nonpartisan handicapping service, moved ten of its house races in favor of Republicans and adjust that its GOP gains in the fall upward between 20 to 20 to 35 seats. Given that Biden's approval rating is underwater and dozens of districts he carried in 2022, any Democrat sitting in a single digit Biden seat or Trump seat is that severe risk and even a few seats and that Biden carried by ten or 15 points could lose. Crystal is a rights at CNN dot com, the confluence of these predictions are built on several historical trends that have been predictive over decades. The first is that midterm elections tend to be bad for the president's party. Since World War II, the average seat loss for a president's party in the midterms of 26, I think Republicans are going to far exceed that. The generic ballot tends to favor Democrats, marginally in a neutral political year. A recent poll from quinnipiac, university should Republicans, they four point edge on the generic ballot. The reality of this current political moment is that things appear to be getting worse for Democrats, the closer we get to the election, fears of a wave washing away even incumbents previously considered safe, now seems entirely justified. CNN is trying to warn people what we have seen Bill throughout this entire year. Joe Biden thinks it's just

Glenn Youngkin's Victory Was a Massive Win Against the Regime

"Now because of the lockdowns that society decided to enact as a response to the Chinese Fauci coronavirus, parents across the country for the first time decided to get engaged and get involved in school board, races and elections over the last year. This is part of the rise of the citizen. 2021 did not have many elections, but there was one in particular the start of the surface as a potential climax as a potential testing point of all these different political trends that we started to see in April and May and June of last year. Businessman Glenn youngkin was running for governor of Virginia. He was running up against Clinton operative and former governor of Virginia, Terry McAuliffe, and Glenn youngkin was down nearly double digits in the polls, 12 to 15 points, some polls had him down. It seemed as if Terry McAuliffe was going to have an easy waltz to the governorship. There was no questions asked and Republicans would lose yet again in the ever increasing blue state of Virginia. Of course, moms and dads rose up in record numbers. Loud and county was tighter than ever before. The strong conservative areas got behind and junkin was elected governor of Virginia. Now we celebrated that victory that night. We did a whole live stream that evening. It was a massive win against the regime. It was a win for parents, the parents party that has ever increasing and strengthening in numbers. It was a win for those of us that care for educational mobility and school choice, vouchers, and especially the fight against critical race

'Glenn Youngkin Worshipped at the Altar of Donald Trump'?

"Now let's get the left wing interpretation from the fake news industrial complex, and MSNBC's Nicole Wallace cut to. I watched Glenn youngins interviews on Fox News, and he did nothing that Claire did not mean he worshiped at the altar of Donald Trump on Fox News. He flew an insurrection flag at his rallies. He simply didn't you play dumb about a zoom rally. He did not really put much distance between himself and Donald Trump on the big lie or the deadly insurrection in which police officers were maimed by flagpoles. So I think that the real ominous thing is that critical race theory, which isn't real, turned the suburbs 15 points to the Trump insurrection endorsed Republican. I'm not going to waste time here doing it. But I'd like to read to her from the Virginia Department of Education that quotes critical race there in white must be taught the thing that she says doesn't exist. Jennifer Glenn young can worship the altar of Donald Trump. I mean, are these people smoking crack? Anything he wasn't trumpy enough. That was one of the things that he talked about, but he walked this line of not alienating Trump supporters and bringing in other people. I think in my show, I said, are you the Mitt Romney of Virginia? And he said, well, it's not maga, but it's Virginia, make Virginia great again. Which is, you know, skillful. It was not quite wrong. Fairly skillful. Right. And someone who is not a politician and let me remind Nicole Wallace of a few things that I think people may have forgotten. One of the things is that the person who is currently sitting in the governor's mansion couldn't remember if he was the guy wearing the KKK costume or the guy in blackface. The current lieutenant governor of the state of Virginia was accused of raping some incredibly very credibly accused of raping somebody. The group that was trying to push Terry mcauliffe into this election, The Lincoln Project, pretty rich that they were trying to take aim at critical racer because their record with little boys not so

He got the ball got one dribble into a power dribble, and he got attacked along the arm. But if you get the ball in the middle As they collapsed. Now you can find your shooters. First foul shot Good. "In this kid's suing who missed the second one is I think I'm telling you, I think in the tournament, he could go average 2025 2nd free throw is no good. It's a 15 point lead. There's a shot on the layup. That's no good for Michigan State right down the lane. Watts had a point blank shot and he rimmed it on out. So with a minute to go, Ohio State's gonna flip the front court on 77 62 is Washington wipes his nose with his off hand. And keeps the ball's totally in his right hand with Langford poking at him, But Ohio State's gonna win this thing and Michigan State. I mean, how often you say a game effort, but they were just short handed shooting wise way have the first ever carry called in a 15 point game with 44 seconds to go. Please get the trophy sent paid by the whistle. I mean, that was that was legalized here's lawyer into the front court, and we have a time out Michigan State. So Tom Izzo wants to talk this over with his team with 42. 5 to go. A coach who has less pedigree than Thomas would be criticized for something like this, and we've seen this become a groundswell for a rivalry. This is actually a coaching moment Tom Izzo and a rightful time out A team that struggling I'll tell you what he's saying. He's saying one of two things one. A fella's looking to score, but we don't think you're that good. I'm just gonna take a minute here and show you you're not. We've got to get to work. We've got to get the real work, not fake work, not talk work. Or he's saying Look, this'll second half I could live with in terms of offensive, basketball and execution. The shooting will come You're doing one of the truth. I never have a problem. When somebody calls late time outs. They're trying to get something done. And oh, by the way, people that's what they're paid for. That's right. But sometimes well, I'll say this. Sometimes it is for sure. Sometimes it is T O get him across. The other guy That's happened before Michigan State ball left wing three Lankford's no rebound and a hammer shot. On suing who went down really hard shoulder blades first onto this wood floor and he'll get a couple of free throws with 35.6 to go. I'm not saying it happens every time, but I know coaches have done that before. Yeah, you're saying Well, what would the point of Ezo being to call a time out to stay out here longer while you're getting drilled? You're saying if if Holtzman did I'm saying sometimes, you know, Yeah. If you did Christian top 16 I agree with just sit out here, Thomas. But I do think it's different in this season when you had basketball taken away from me last year. Anybody who says Well, you know, we got to go. We have this flight like a team, saying we want to get home and all that stuff. Everybody wants to be on the basketball court more, not less. Can I tell you something? Classic Championship game? We're down, two against think was Duke. We called time out. Our trainer tells coach Knight he coach If we go to overtime, we're not making our flight. We're not gonna be able to get to the game and Notre Dame We shot a three lost got on the flight. True story. Wow. Free throw good. 79 62 attacked by watching the lay in that rimmed out and the rebound for Tyler Young who cradles it like a small child. In Ohio State will keep it and again what's has to lay ups that are 99.999% just kind of sums up the whole thing for watching Michigan State today, 10 Seconds to go standing drivel for the Buckeyes a snake bit Michigan State side. It's the road. And takes one on the chin as Watson Walker's slap hands in sportsmanship on there is the horn. "Now Cone top of the key three short rebound battle four and hub grabs it at the top of the key over the big Court. Strike hop all the way to the hoop for the scoop shot that is up to no good Tony Sanders with the rebound up a good so the freshman keeping the Irish a little life and it's 50 37 13 Point lead for Virginia Tech. And folks, that's a good sign. Both freshmen showed some things tonight played with good effort in Hustle this whole team. Comes back next year, and they're joined by The player of the year, the reigning player of the year from the Ivy League transferring in next year because there is no Ivy League Play this year and all the Ivy leagues not playing in the pandemic. So you're kind of you. You're looking at the season two ways. Now you want to try to do as well as you can, obviously, about the only way to make the incidentally tournament right now, unless you just run. The table is to win the A C C tournament, but you also want to build. This is a class that came in extremely highly rated. Four guys in the top 100 the first time that's happened in the MiCabrera, The top of my head. I may be the first time ever and part of that might be because back in the sixties and seventies, they didn't have recruiting rankings. But you want guys to make the most of every opportunity. And hopefully that's exactly what happened in terms of those two young guys getting some quality minutes here tonight. So here's a lot Virginia, Texas, Donna tonight. We'll be Sabeti three points. We told you he was a past first. Guard. He missed all six of his shots from three point land in. A lot of those were in the second half when they were just burning clock and he ended up with the ball with the shot clock about to run out. He had three assists, two steals, No turnovers and 32 minutes. Hey, Moline ended up being the leading scorer for Virginia Tech 15 points. He's a very athletic guy. He's not spectacular, but he's one of those guys who's always kind of under the radar. Then you look up and he's been incredibly Productive. He ended up with the team high 15 points. He came in averaging two rebounds. He 64 but he was a 50 50 ball guy Tonight. He got nine rebounds. He had five assists. So not just because he scored the most points, but You know, he and Kev a la Luna, where their most valuable players alumina five of 10 shooting 14 points. 12 rebounds, three offensive. Three block shots in a steel for the 69 alumina Jalen Cohn, who started because Radford suspended and hurt the Irish big time. In the first game from three point land. He was four of 10 from three and had 18 and Blacksburg against the Irish. Ours wanted to take him out tonight. They did. He only had three points, one of five from 31 of six overall. He had one rebound with a blocked shot and assist two steals. And a couple of turnovers, but he was effective Justin Months effective. Two double double 14 points. 11 rebounds, so too tech players Got double doubles in a game where they only scored 62 points. I thought they let months Dragons pivot foot and get a little bit too physical inside. But he was very effective. Tip your cap. He also had three block shots and three assists so much alumina. Cone all very good. Let's go into the media room now, and Prentiss hub is meeting with the media. Yep. All right. First question will go to Tom Noi. Cell demoralizing is that when they punch in the mouth so early the way they did tonight? I mean, kind of tough, I mean, Shots were really fallen, and they came out really aggressive. I mean, but I think that we, uh way fall back a little bit on that first half. We've gotta tow nine points, so I think we Lord. Next double Go Patrick angle. Going to see what point in that first half did you kind of realize decide they're gonna take it upon yourself. When you Attacked off the dribble and keep some threes to try to get you guys going. I mean, I just wanted to make one in place for my teammates. See that everybody shot smartphone. Um They were trying to take away our jobs and stuff like that. So I just had to take it upon myself to try toe do whatever I can to make him my teammates win. Back to Tom Nolan. Honest once they're going to take the beat a team that's above you in the league standings this season. These guys play hard. Go to Patrick Angle. Seven played them twice this year. What makes their defense hard to hard to crack? Oh, Just like really good defense on they get up in pressure US and Stuff, but I think that we kind of beat ourselves a little bit of not being able to make shots that we usually make in the last couple games that we've been playing. I am, but they're they're ball pressure and Physicality. Thank very much. Prentice. Thanks for joining us Prentiss hub in the media room, doing what captains need to do, and that has come out and answer public questions. After a poor performance Now, Prentiss wasn't necessarily poor. But at this level, the individual stats don't matter. And Prentiss is not that kind of guy. I've been Through a few guys that were like that over the years, but very few British would much rather had no points here tonight. And a win, but Prentiss makes some good points. This Notre Dame team is going to Have to figure out a way. To beat these kinds of defense's Because now both Virginia Tech and Virginia have swept Notre Dame with a pack line like defense, and now.

"Best outcome for anyone in the NFC East. Today. The Cowboys, as we just mentioned got beat by the Seahawks, coughing up a late lead is back in port today. Seahawks won by 15 points in the fourth quarter. Cowboys rallied to take the lead, but then let Russell Wilson drive it down in the last two plus minutes. Ah to victory from the jaws of defeat. Give Russell Wilson credit more sold and burying the Cowboys. But a loss is a loss is a loss. I mentioned the fact that the Giants were putrid against the 40 Niners, a injury ravaged 40 Niner team today and oh, by the way, the Washington football team was easily handled by the Browns, who, with the wind go to two and one, and they get above 500 for the first time. In six years. It's been a while since Cleveland fans could get up on a Monday morning and say, Let me check the paper. Let me check the website. Let me just make your yes. I have a winning football team in my town right now, because the Browns and keep that with their win today, so Cowboys laws Redskins lost. Giants lost Eagles tied the Eagles made up ground on everyone in their division despite playing a massively underwhelming 23 23 tie. Withy also winless Cincinnati Bengals Eagle stay winless toe, but the Bangles came and onto the Eagles came in. Oh, into. They both leave Philadelphia shaking their heads. At 02 and one. Those are just some of the highlights from the all again Don't go through others. Here's the way it's gonna work. I got a little two hour window to shoot the breeze with you guys today. That's what I like doing on Sunday nights after act is giving you more Evo more insight. More scores more knowledge on what is going on. In the National Football League. Yours truly gets to get on here and give it Ah, over to you. Give me a call on your squad today. Maybe in Joyous exaltation. Maybe in a ah murderous tone, depending on how your team did today. How it looked, whatever it is, you want to bring to the table. I'm here for you 855 to 124227. And after a wacky wild week three in the National Football League. Daytime. Well, we can't even go back to the Thursday night game. Miami Jacksonville wasn't terrible. It was a Fitz Magic night. He doesn't do it as often as he used to, But Ryan Fitzpatrick is one of the most Intriguing players in the National Football League over the last 20 years. He can look absolutely phenomenal or recon just absolutely kill you and throw you out of the game well, Thursday night against Jackson, Billy said. Not so fast. Mr Tung Abi Loa. Let me play a couple more weeks here before we make any changes in Miami, but then a wild daytime slate. That leads into a superior Sunday night matchup. We talk about all the good young quarterbacks in the National Football League to Pat Mahomes is of the world. Ah, the Lamar Jackson's of the world. The Baker Mayfield's Sam Darnold is still a young player. Herbert played very well for the charges today in a losing effort. Ah Tyler Kyla Murray played pretty well today did throw three picks. In a losing effort. Then you've got the veteran guys on the other side. Tom Brady played phenomenally for the Bucks today. Thank you very much in Denver in a town where he hasn't always had success. But ah, he was very good today for the boxes. They moved 2 to 11. We've got Aaron Rodgers. Ah, you got Russell Wilson do what he's doing. He's now a veteran quarterback. Probably putting M V P numbers up for the first three games season word end and there is never a time where it's too early to say you could have the MBA M V P discussion. In the NFL. After one week in baseball, you got to go atleast a couple of weeks. Ah NFL because it's only a 16 game schedule. Yeah. One game you got to start talking about the had the best week of weak one is basically what comes down to well, who's had the best three week run in the National Football League so far. That would be Russell Wilson, who wins again with the Seahawks and come from behind fashion. You have Cam Newton, who's reinventing himself in New England. As they beat the Patriots. They got a lot of help on the ground today. They had a bunch of guys run the ball well. Sony Macau nine carries 117 yards. Damn. That's a phenomenal yard per carry average. Birkett had AH, 6 49 yards in two touchdown. So Cam got some help from his backfield mates today, So we've got this compilation of quarterbacks in the National Football League, and I shouldn't leave Ben Roethlisberger out of it, because that was one of the showdowns. Between the new young guns and he established veteran quarterback He had Dijon Watson coming in owing to but certainly with his star rising Ben Roethlisberger to a No. But his stars still in question. Is he recuperated from the major surgery last season? Oh, he answered the question again today. Yeah, he's done just that another big day for Ben Roethlisberger and Philip Rivers, setting a couple records today. Hey, became only the sixth quarterback in NFL history to 12 for four touched 400 touchdowns and the sixth overall quarterback to throw for over 40,000 of these a 40,000 or 60,000 yards. I don't remember what I apologize for that. But Philip Rivers just keeps doing it from that same draft class as big Ben Roethlisberger. They got the young guns against the new guns All day here in the National Football League. Guess what. Always 60,000 thanks, ships. Esso on Ly, the sixth quarterback to told 60,000 yards Philip Rivers on Ly, the sixth quarterback to troll for touchdown passes. Philip Rivers. He's probably going to the Hall of Fame even without a Super Bowl ring to show for it. Maybe gets a date here for the cults who knows, But we had a whole bunch of showdowns between the young guns and a grizzled veterans. We've got two games left to go..
