"That conviction leaders dot com. So let's talk about the overview for the It's the end of the week. So for every Friday longtime listeners of the show No, I'd like to do a we can review. So let's see what happened today said on Wall Street was a mixed session. The big news of the day came in. Before the open was the jobs report, and you had the jobs number. The headline number miss expectations. They were weaker than expected. So I'm going to read some notes. Gary sent me for the show. I'm going to go on just how he sent them. And then I'll talk about the market wrap that we can review and all the other fun stuff so first carries his employment is less than expected. The headline number was less than expected, blaming on Delta Covid. But don't forget you're getting checks that are being sent out. There's still nine million unfilled jobs, the economy slowing down a bit, but not sweating it just yet. The major indices are fine, Gary says. NASDAQ is still good, especially software. Gold mining stocks are now doing better. They may be an emerging area mentioned that they were starting to move out a few days ago, but they're moving out even more now. So Gary mentioned a few days ago on the radio. That gold mining stocks are looking good. They're getting better, and they're looking much better now. So that's something to watch. There's the Gld, which is an ETF that tracks gold. There's GDX, which is e t f that tracks gold miners. GDX J. Richard Juniors the You know the miners, but the junior wants, so there's just some and then we can go through some gold stocks as well. And then also, Gary says, the last piece the note that he sent me was also semis. Semiconductor stocks may be ready for another leg hop up, and that's take her symbol s M H so you can go through and we'll talk about semis and gold stocks after the market wrap. So first thing I want to cover here is the jobs report, which we just did. And give you the market wrap. So the market ended mixed today The Dow was down about 75 points closed at 3 35,069, the S and P. 500 was down about a point and a half. 45 35. The NASDAQ composite closed up 32 points to 3 15,063. The Russell 2000. Was down. 12 points to 22 91 the vics, which I don't normally cover in the market. Rapid I do want to cover it Is that 16 37 so far, that's fine. But walk the Vicks the major industries like I've told you before our extended carries mentioned it as well here due to pull back if the VIX spikes above 20 and or 25 you start seeing a big pullback in the market that could spell trouble, But for now, the markets fine. It's just something I like to watch every once in a while. Look at the vics and look at these spikes in the vic's tend to correspond with big down movement in the market, so For the day. The NASDAQ ended higher than has that composite the Q Q. Q was up for the week. Its up and now we're getting extended above the 50 Day moving average, like I mentioned to you multiple times on this show this week. It doesn't mean we can't go higher. It's just that probabilities are you know we're going to be pulled back at some point in the near future. Typically extended markets need the pause, and in order to put digest the recent move. They either do one of two things either pull back. Or they move sideways if they move sideways at the more bullish scenario, But a light volume pulled back into the 50 would also be very, very welcomed for the Q Q. Q. The NASDAQ 100 Now for the S and P 500. The S P. Y also ended higher for the week. It's also very extended. I mentioned yesterday on the show if you want to go look at a daily chart of one year daily chart of the S P Y. Take a look at it. And look at how the 50 Day moving average has really been important support for really about 12 to 16 months or so. It's once again extended every time the S and P or the NASDAQ has gone extended over the last 12 to 15 months or so. Since April in March of 2020, it's pulls back into the 50. It's just every single time it does that It's normal. It's healthy. It's now extended again. Which doesn't mean it's going to pull back tomorrow. But just be on alert that we are overdue for a nice pullback. That's the SP. Why the Dow D I A ended the week. Slightly lower, not a lot, but slightly lower still above the 50. It's not as extended as the S and P and the NASDAQ. So this is moving sideways Watch resistance 3 56 60 for the DEA, which is an ETF that tracks the Dow Jones industrial average to be taken out, But the data was still basing. Meaning it's still consolidating its latest move and is still moving sideways, which is fine and healthy. The mid caps the M D y the S and P 400 steam thing. Still basing. The high this week was 57 31 the high from back in April of this base, you've had a four I guess. Five month base forming now with the mid caps was 507 63. And the high this week was 57 31 again. Please, General, I can't make this stuff up. That's how technical analysis works, right? You want to just look at prior highs prior lows, Inflection points, moving averages. Bases patterns so on and so forth, because all of that is very, very important when you analyze markets. So, um, the mid caps are about to break out there. I mean, they came within a few cents of breaking out this week, so watch for that to just move sideways for a little bit and then break out. If they do break out, that would bode well for the broader market. Now there's finally the Russell 2000 small cap index. The, um, for those of you following at home, is moving sideways in along. I guess. Sideways consolidation going back to February. That's a seven month base or five months base depending on how you want to count the basically the weeks but more or less than February. The markets the I W has been going sideways back in February. The idea, um was at 2 20. 2 30. Now you're at 2 27. So as far as I'm concerned to seven month base that being said it's now in the middle of that base. Briefly undercut the 200 day moving average for a day and then got right back above it back in early August. About 3.5 weeks ago, and then it got back above the 50 right afterwards. So Think of resistance as a ceiling in a room and supported the floor in the room. For the last seven months, the I W and the Russell has been going between 2 34 53 about 207. On the downside, so to 34 on the upside and to seven on the downside, right now you're at 2 27. It's just been range bound, which is normal and healthy because from the March low if you go back to the Covid low of last year, it was at 95. So basically the small cap index, Russell 2001, from 95 to 2 34. It's not a type boats on a mistake. The low in March of 2020 was 95 for the I W m. Hi just a few months ago. Was to 34. It has to pause and digest that move, and that's exactly lays General. What's happening right now. It's healthy action. We're in the middle of the base. If this can get going and break out above 2 34 that's 2000 stocks that are going to break out of range and go up that would bode very, very well for the rest of 2021. And really into 2022. So putting everything together..

Expected to talk about tax rate hikes for corporations. She wants companies to be onboard good luck with that. Also, she's going to be talking about inflation transitory at what point do we care? And this is something that I think is very important. We were talking last hour about that University of Michigan survey showing expectations for 5 to 10 year inflation among consumers rising to the highest level since 2011 rising the most is 2009. That is significant that gets the feds attention. 11 AM the feds Robert Kaplan is going to be speaking in Atlanta Fed conference very interesting to hear what he says about being the Lone Hawk on the Federal Reserve wanting to raise rates in 2022. And so is 12 Point favorites. The Vikings were being shocked in the third quarter. It was 16 nothing. Then the Vikings finally got on the board to make it 16 7 and Dave Osborne touchdown. 16 7. People wondered, OK, is the game turning momentum back to the Vikings and then that play hit from midfield. Len Dawson, Otis Taylor Taylor makes a move, then breaks away into the open. And then it was bright, sunny San Diego against Oakland, the Raiders and Jon Gruden's former team and Earmark of this game was not Gruden's offense. It was the Buccaneers defense, absolutely mauling Rich Gannon and Bill Callahan's attack. Here's just yet another of the huge moments by the Buccaneers defense that day, third down 18 dropping again and looking down, looking gave those up with Derrick Brooks 30 bucks for the 29th Derrick Brooks on the way. Third is that daggers and we're gonna win the Super Bowl. That's gene Decker off on bucket ears. Radio was a pick six by Derrick Brooks in the fourth quarter. At that point, it was 34 to 21. But then Gannon back to pass Brooke steps in front of it 44 yards later, it's a pick six and then to end the game, Dwight Smith would do the same thing. In this game. The Raiders were favored by 3.5 points. But ultimately Dexter Jackson define that bucket ears defense and Tampa Bay had its first championship it only championship in franchise history. How Did Arizona Cardinals Lose to San Francisco 49ers?
"Really rough one when you've got the Niners is your loss at home. What a rough lost. We had going into the weekend. Yeah, that's probably got to be the Cardinals worst loss in five years, And I don't think that that's hyperbole. I mean, you're you're facing not only a Niners team that's out of it. Niners team that's been living in your stadium for the last month because they can't play or practice up in northern California. So they've just been staying here, and I mean they were missing everybody. They were at the third string quarterback. They were like their fourth or fifth string center. I mean, so many guys missing. And the Cardinals put up 12 points and loose. Oh, How does that happen? I mean, that is show incredibly frustrating. Of course, I'm watching the fans and watching the you know the different sports guys that I follow on Twitter and they're all very frustrated with this. Sanders was mail for a few weeks. Cardinals have been in the playoffs and five years and they could have really done themselves a favor winning obviously on Saturday, now the way things worked out the good news for the Cardinals. Is, after all, that if they just win this Sunday, they still get in because they were playing the team that they're now chasing. So it's that whole Just win, baby. Just win. Yeah, except we tried that last weekend didn't work.

"Look, they play defense, and there is that there hasn't been a ton of that in the NFL this year. The Giants on defense, confused Russell Wilson in the Seattle Seahawks and held him 12 points on Sunday in their building. That is no small feat. And look, I'm not saying these air world beaters. I don't expect a No. Seven or 2011 style giant Super Bowl run out of this group. I think there's still They're still putting it together in terms of their long term prospects, But I don't think they're going to be an enjoyable team to play Come January, and I think you saw that on Sunday and it's because they come in with a plan. They executed that the players are buying into what the coaching staff is selling, and they're feeling very good about themselves. Look, we see hot teams make noise in the playoffs, even if they aren't necessarily the best teams. Giants have won four in a row. If they keep this going, and they go into the playoffs hot Yeah. I mean, how could you say they can't upset a team like Seattle with a home playoff game in the first round? When they just went in there to Seattle with saddles in a tight division race? It's not like they took them lightly on won the game. I think it's I think it's interesting to see these teams developing possibly legit problems for the big teams come January. Then you also said that it's an overreaction. You have the Patriots make the playoffs. What's stopping them? Math. I mean, they're six and six right and the Colts right now, I think the Colts are the seven seed in the NFC there, eight and four. So you gotta make up two games and you got four games left. And there are other teams in between you and the Colts. So I just think that it's too tough a hill to climb right now in terms of the standings. You could get. If you're the Patriots, you could win nine or 10 games this year and still miss. So they've put themselves behind the eight ball. They need a lot of help. They need other teams to play badly that are in front of them right now, and they're gonna and they need to keep winning. It's really weird. Remember the last time the Patriots missed the playoffs was await their were 11 and five and somehow missed the playoffs that year, so you could have a similar situation here, where they end up with a winning record, but still on the outside looking in because of that rotten stretch they had back in October where they couldn't score a point. Okay, let me ask you before we let you go, Dan, what's gonna happen in Chicago? Do you think that they're gonna blow Nagy out in Have to end of the season. I'll say this if he doesn't want any more games. Yeah, I think that's that's certainly gonna happen. And honestly, I think he's in a lot more peril than I would have thought a month ago, which I mean, you know these these long losing streaks in the middle of season. Certainly do that to you. Start five and one. Now you're five and seven. Yeah, I think it's possible. That's the situation. We're definitely watching at this point in terms of potential opening at head coach and maybe GM. I mean, remember Ryan Pace is the one that traded up to draft Mitchell Travis Key. When did Shawn Watson and Patrick Mahomes were on the board? So at some point, you know you have to wear that decision. So yeah, that that's the situation. It's going very badly here over the last 67 weeks, and I think it's it's entirely possible. Chicago joins the ranks of teams that are looking for a new head coach. And Out four weeks. Indeed, the record may not show it. But Houston is the Bears next opponent. Election Day 2020: Rick Davis
"Joining us live is Bloomberg's Rick Davis, partner at Stone Court Capital has run a good number of campaigns, including John McCain's 2008 Rick Again. Thank you so much for joining us. My pleasure. Yeah, The Democrats seem focused on Pennsylvania Joe Biden yesterday back again today, Camilla Harris today saying it be decided they're Biden claims it's his first home. Polling has been good. But now the NBC Marist poll today shows it tightening. Where does this stand? Well, it's on the horse race side. You can't tell, but it's been a very stable election. Even in Pennsylvania, Biden held the lead anywhere from 4 to 10 points, depending on which poll and at what point in this campaign. But that's the nature of this campaign is so unusual is how little has really changed lately. I mean, when you were tracking polls and you're only you know, seeing Ah pointer to tightening or loosening in the course of an election. It shows you a very stable electric. In other words, people have made up their minds and we've seen in the last month. People are voting in record numbers during these early votes, And so my guess is Pennsylvania. I would say. Friends toward Biden because he's never been behind in any public or private survey I've seen, but you know, we're see what happens on Election Day. Yeah, Also Florida I mean, for the most part of Florida Early on, and who knows early eyes? It goes for for Biden. They're saying that it's over. Yeah. If Florida goes for Biden, there's really no way for Donald Trump. To find a path to victory mean Biden start with some of the Trump states that he won before pretty much in Hiss. Calm. Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin. These are all states that Biden is right now tracking an almost 10 in some cases, 12 points. So you take those states away from Donald Trump. And he can't afford to lose those Bay States and the biggest one that he Has in play 29 electoral votes is Florida now have the two things have the pollsters learned anything since 2016 number one and have the Democrats learned anything since 2016 I'll take the last one. First. What the Democrats learned is that they needed to pick their spots as to where they need to win in orderto get the necessary electoral votes and And Hillary Clinton's campaign spread themselves all over states that were completely unnecessary. They had people in Arizona and other places the week before the election thinking we're going to turn Red States blue. What? What Joe Biden has shown is the discipline to park himself. As you said earlier in Pennsylvania, every surrogate he has in the country was in there today. And he's planted a flag. If I win Pennsylvania, I win the presidency and I'm fighting here. And he has Ah, just in just in the past hour in campaigning, talking to young talking to students, saying that they that they are the key. I mean, the Democrats have needed, you know, asking that question to motivate young voters. Michelle Obama's been beating this drum now since Since 2016 the young have to be showing up. Are we seeing that they will Yeah, There are record turnouts bank on Which state you're talking about in Pennsylvania is one of them where under 25 8. Voters are starting to show up in much bigger numbers than they did in 2016. Now whether or not that follows on Election day. These are all the early voters that we can track. But if that follows up on Election Day, the young voters could actually make a big impact on the state like Pennsylvania. OK, let's and and the presidency, of course, is what everybody focuses on the most for very good reason. But But let's let's look at the Senate here. I mean, if you're a Democrat, and you're looking at this, you're saying, Wow, we have a really good shot that this could flip. Yeah, His Senate is ah, Titan. There's no question about that. Republicans have probably five or six states where they have likely swings to the Democratic side, potentially. And they only have one pickup in in in. Ah, Alabama. What is interesting? State toe Watch is Georgia. Not only do you have a Senate race up for grabs, But you have a special election for a senator to Senate seats up in Georgia this year. And Georgia has a funky law where you have to get over 50% of the vote, or you go to a runoff. And at this point, neither one of the incumbent Republicans there look like they're going to be able to get to 50%. So you could have the control. The Senate decided months later in a special election on top of the special elections you already have? Yeah, possibly in in January. Now now vote counting. Of course, you know, we hoped to see something tomorrow probably won't. But the president has said that he may claim victory on on election night anyway, both sides of lawyered up. This could be a mess as well. I don't want to be negative, Bob, but but this could be a mess. Well, The good news is states run their elections and so unless they decide to defer to the president states, which would be extraordinary, right? No, no state Tends to do that voluntarily, then they're going to count at their own pace. In fact, we've never had an election where the actual elections certifications. We're on election night. They always take days later. In order to facilitate all the ballot collection and count all the ballots, And then the state certifies. There's there. It just simply doesn't happen on election night in any election we've ever had. And so I think that most of the states if their discipline and they follow their own rules, they'll pay no attention to the president's protestations. He did this in 2018 during the Florida governor's race where he said, Oh, you know, all the votes were counted, and we ought to just move on. We're Yeah, we're going to have to leave it there. Thank you so much and will watch for you and David and Jeannie. With our special election coverage

I'm host Ethan Hatcher joining, as always, Dr. David, you're a professor of political science at the University of Indianapolis. And we want to talk about the polling data right now, because there is a lot of convolution on the field. There's reason to believe that Biden could walk away with it. But there's a man Salieri data that suggests Trump. You know, he could edge out the opposition once again. And we're going to talk about that, especially in swing states Right now. It appears that vice presidential candidate Former vice president and presidential candidate. There we go, Joe Biden, he's now increasing his national lead over President Donald Trump following last Tuesday's debate. I think that Donald Trump tanked his performance. Of course, Doctor. You somewhat disagree, but it seems that the polling respondents to a certain extent are more comfortable with Joe Biden hey has a 14 point margin over the president. Trump seeing steady gains in swing states like Florida and Pennsylvania. That's where the elections or one? No. Yeah, and we're going to get into that. NBC Wall Street Journal Poll released on Sunday Shows six point game for Biden following the debates now leading Trump 53 to 39 in national polling here. Sum's snapshot from real clear politics some of swing states in Wisconsin. Reuters puts Biden at 50 trumpet 40 for Biden plus six in Pennsylvania. CBS puts Biden at 51 Trumpet 40 for Biden plus seven same state in Pennsylvania. NBC poll. 50 Biden 50 Trump 46 abiding up for I mean they're slim margins there, but it's not what you want to see. In Ohio. CBC News puts Biden and Trump at 47. They're tied and in Florida U. N F puts Biden at 51 Trumpet. 45. Biden Up six and Florida Reuters Pull poll puts Biden at 59. Trump at 45 Biden at four. Again. You mean the polling is not necessarily indicative of Ah actuality or a prediction of the future, But it is a snapshot in time. Yeah, but we're pulling. I'm gonna have to wait until they get an accurate one after the 2016 debacle before I really start believing these things. I guess What you're more looking for is not necessarily the raw numbers of the poles. But look and they say this all the time. What you look at is the trend. Where where are the candidates moving? Are they growing farther apart? Or they're getting closer together? Is a candidate falling is a different candidate. Surging. And so especially coming down into the last three weeks of the election, open or early voting has started in some states. If I'm trump, maybe I'm a little worried about these numbers. But if they're moving in the right direction, you know he's going to make that same push three weeks the last three weeks that he made in 2016 and again it's not about national numbers. You can throw the national polls out the window. It's about where How are you performing in the swing states that actually decide elections? Which there's I mean, That's why we're doing the real clear politics overview. Some of the swing states, you know, But in those cases, Biden still up, you know, by four points on average, usually right out of those poles. There's enough numbers there for Trump to make a push and end up winning those states and he does it again. Like he did 2016. He wouldn't have to win them by a lot. I mean, he barely won Michigan by 10,000. He won the comp combined Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania by a combined 100,000 boats, so Well, and to the extent that President Trump isn't leading in polling he is leading in voter registration, which may be the more key factor. Republicans cut the Democratic Party's voter registration edge in key states, which the Trump campaign is now touting. In Pennsylvania. The Republican Party sliced the Democrats dominance in registered voters by nearly 200,000 since election in 2016. Republicans also made AH significant gains in North Carolina, reducing the Democrat majority among registered voters by 240 30,000 compared to four years ago and Florida GOP Chop Democratic Advantage by 100 for 5,154,000 and in Iowa Republicans turn nearly 15,000 voter registration registration deficit in March into a 13,000 voter registration registration lead. Thiss past Thursday. So there's I mean there's enthusiasm, Republican side Oh, absolutely there that the enthusiasm gap has been something the Democrats have been worried about What Joe Biden since day one. Trump does not have an enthusiasm gap, either. You either you love him or you hate him. But I don't even think that people are necessarily voting for President Trump In this case they're having to vote for their their lives their their pocketbooks. Therefore, you know, financial safety law, you know, lawn basic societal order. That's kind of the Well, I mean, you got distinction you got Covic. You got you always got the economy. You do have the law on order stuff which you haven't seen like we did this year. And so I mean, the data is mixed. Let's just put it right best. The data is mix and some of the things Trump's doing. I kind of wonder if it may not be, ah, period of desperation for him. But again, this guy has an uncanny way of pulling out things that nobody sees coming. And then all of a sudden he doesn't. Then you look back and I'm like, Wow, this guy really is good Well, Democrats are dismissing the trump campaign optimism is misplaced Confidence. On National Committee spokesman David Byrnes. Bergstein said the party is also growing in ranks of registered voters in crucial battleground of those battleground states. And that includes the time I like districts in that battleground districts in battleground states precisely, for instance, the Democrats now holding 11% voter registration Edge, and Pena County, Arizona, which is the second most populous county in the swing state. Democrats also emphasize strong advantage the party enjoys and may early voting, which is going to be huge, wrongly, you know, pandemic? Yeah, that early voting is going to be really interesting to see this year. So I mean another another respect. That's a delineation between the suburban and the urban vote on DH. That could be another battle because where Democrats hold edges in the most populous areas of the state's true very true Yeah, the Metro is I mean, it's it's all open. Like, you know, this is why we could toss it back and forth, though, right? I mean, and it will find out maybe three weeks from now. Maybe we'll find out four or five weeks from now, depending on how long it takes account all these mail in ballots. I'm sorry, but we may have election week this year. No No, I mean it has wanted to be over. I just needed to be done. I think most Americans feel that way, too. But the problem is is you got to get him all counted accurately. It's heartbreaking for me because politics and political analysis has been something that I've been interested in and wanted to do since I was a child, But it's never been so depressing until now has never been so. Come like bitterly combative. Yeah, that Teo least that in our lifetime doesn't seem like it. Not even I mean, it's always been a combative but One of the last few years have just been bitter. "Couldn't wait for lawmakers in Washington to pause and use Chandler's bill already beginning to lay off thousands of workers. This add to the job concept announced across industries from energy to finance our global economics and policy. Aditya Kathleen Hays this year Kathleen the Airlines one bluffing when they said it was make or break time, I mean, we had from back in allies United Airlines. Why now? Why today Because they made it very clear that by this time by the end of the third quarter by the beginning of the fourth quarter, they would need to have more funding on the Sunday news shows. David Parker, the CEO of American Airlines. Made this point very clear. He was so optimistic that Congress the White House could get it together and get something passed. But they haven't In fact, so today this afternoon. No surprise. It was why the advertised American Airlines. Ling off 19,000 workers. Parker's saying that we're not done fighting. The House Democrats were supposed to vote on their their stimulus package, which is supposedly very much like the old 12 point to, maybe, but maybe raising a bit of $2.4 trillion But they postpone that before a meeting of Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the House, the Treasury secretary, Steven Mnuchin. They met for 90 minutes. They didn't come out with anything definite, however. Steven, you did say they're making progress. And then he was on Fox business today. And hey, said that quote here it is. The president has instructed us to come up. On the amount of stimulus they're willing to pass. Come up significantly, so we have come up from the $1 trillion deal. Wow. He also told Fox business he sees the stimulus bill costing between 1.5 and $2.2 Trillion. He also said that he and Mark Meadows, the White House chief of staff, spoke with the president before they had their meetings on Capitol Hill and Trump has already said that he's willing to pay up to $1.5 trillion to pass the paper pass a bill that big and also remember the Democrats. You could borrow from it then and again generate tax free income. In other words, you don't need the life insurance to do what he's telling you to do. Biden press secretary accuses Trump campaign of funneling questions to Fox News in spar with anchor
"Biden Eyes in Michigan, Joe Biden says Democrats in Michigan. Who voted for him and Obama twice but then voted for Donald Trump. Are basically Racists. This is a county that President Obama and you carried twice on then President Trump carried by 12% points in 2016. Why do you think so Many of these voters turned against the Democratic Party in 2016. You know, I think it was the feeling that they were taking for granted. I don't know that for a fact. And I think that he he used that dog whistle on race. That's one hell of a way to try to get back Those votes. And Michigan and Wisconsin accused them of B was being closet Racists. AAA racist that voted for me and Obama there. Ah! Yeah, they bought into the dog whistle. That's a home strategy. Bolt. What is a bold strategy? Cotton now as bad as Joe Biden is on camera His campaign press secretary is worse. No way. T J Duck Low Just this little weaselly looking dude, he made the mistake of going on with Bret Bear on Fox News yesterday. And listen. Bright bears, not a got your questions kind of guy. He's pretty straight up. As a matter of fact, he was asking some easy yes or no questions. And it didn't really go well for Biden's press secretary. What specifically would the former vice president have done? Well, let's get a few things straight. The vice president was not against the travel ban. First of all, second of all, let's let's remember, and he wasn't Brett. Let's remember an important distinction. Donald Trump was the president of the United States. It was on Donald. I'm asking you, Joe Budden. It was on the was Donald action toe actually protect the PT closed the travel that show Biden wrote an op ed in USA Today in January, warning that the threat was coming. Joe Biden said in February that Donald Trump should get people on the ground in China. What did what did Donald Trump do? Donald Trump was praising China. Donald Trump was praising President. She's response, saying that they had it under control. When clearly he knew, as we now know, from Bob Woodward. They did not have it under control. He should have been protecting the American people. He should have been putting real plans in place. So let me just confront in clinically dangerous. Understand. Let me just clarify your saying that Joe Biden was for closing down travel from China when the president did it. Joe Biden has been cleared. I continue the fact checks if they're helpful, Brett Joe Biden has been clear that he was not against that travel ban that he was for Joe Biden has been clear about how I can continue the fact checks if they're helpful. This has been fact checked into oblivion. Okay, I'm just asking the question. You're saying yes. He was for the shit. China travel ban when the president implemented it. 2 48 hours after receiving that briefing, the important thing about the travel babe, But I know that you will like to cite the travel ran. I know that. You know the president does. That's why I'm bringing it up are obviously it's going to be in the debate. Hold on. The important thing to know about the travel ban is that even after the president implemented that travel ban, tens of thousands of people came in and out, Take it. Then what was the question? You're going to send me some back goes on like this for, like, five minutes. This poor dude. TJ Duck Low, the campaign press secretary. He's worse on camera than Biden. Now, Here's Brett Baer asking a very simple question. Does Joe Biden have the questions coming to him in a teleprompter? Does he have his responses in a TelePrompTer because that's one of the allegations of the Trump campaign is saying Let's see how this question goes. Nobody ever used to teleprompter during local interviews or to answer Q and a with supporters were not goingto get this is this is straight from the Trump campaign they're using and what it does, and what it does is it's trying to distract the American just from there using and they talk about it every day. When you say yes or no, That's what they talk about it every day break because they don't have a coherent you answer Yes or no, Brett. They talked about it every day because they don't have a coherent argument for why Donald Trump. Deserves reelection deserves four more years. We know that he lied to the American people. We know that he has not shown leadership during this crisis, and they are desperate to throw anything they can against the wall to try to distract from the fact I understand, But you can't answer the question, but I am not going to allow. Okay, Trump campaign toe, funnel their questions through Fox News and get me to respond to that. So that's a no. Or yes, I don't even know why I got the question, wouldn't you? If you say no. If that was the case does Joe Biden use a teleprompter? When the answering questions to the press If the answer was no, wouldn't you? Would there be a problem saying? No. I understand the problem saying Yes, right. Why would you just lie? No, Not at all. Yeah, And then and then the other one. Well, well, You know what? I'm actually gonna have the E mail you the answer the memories. He's gonna email brown bear the fact checks right? I'll email you The fact checkers. Google Google? Yeah, That's not a good answer you You know it's bad when Joe Biden's coming up to you saying Listen, Kenny, you're pretty bad on camera, sir. My name's not Kenny. It doesn't matter. You're not allowed to speak on camera anymore. And this is coming from me. Joe Biden

LeBron becomes all-time leader in playoff wins
"If you remember back to Sunday, Game two of the Western Conference finals. Lakers gave up 41 points in the third quarter before they were able to clamp down defensively, allowing the Rockets to score just 17 in that fourth quarter. Get on Tuesday. It would be a strong fourth quarter. That proves to be the difference for Ella. LeBron James wind up having a huge first half 29 points, but the Lakers were actually trailing at the break. L. A would hold the Rockets to just 18 points in the third. Turning things up defensively, one of the best defensive teams all year that turned it up the Rockets to 22% shooting in the second half. That's the most all time he spoke with TNT, do what it takes to win both the defense and I know I say that a lot, but it was just the truth. My teammates looks for me to do a little bit of everything, and tonight was another opportunity for me to help and I was happy. I was able to come through for us tonight. LeBron at another milestone to your resume, passing Derek Fisher becoming the NBA's all time leader in a playoff wins. I know you have said time and time again, you'll reflect on those milestones later. To play at the level you're playing at and achieve that milestone in your 17. What does that say about what we're trying to accomplish? It says that I played with a lot of great teams says that I played a lot of great teammates made some great coaches in Cleveland in Miami and now here in Los Angeles, you don't get those wins without teammates so on the coaching staff prepares and do all the preparation Behind the scenes video coordinators. The guys will help rebound the basketballs force assistant coaches that trainers the athletic staff on its own. So it doesn't happen without the support of castes. And it's why I'm able to stay here with this achievement. But it's all about the three organizations. I've been with calves, the heat and not the Lakers. Because without them, I wouldn't be in this position. Speaking of the way you're supporting cast played tonight. Defensively, particularly in that second half. What did you guys find that allowed you to lock into Rockets offense. We know in the first half going into halftime that we didn't play our best. Defensively. We allowed him to get into the lane. Without contest. We allowed him to hit some threes. What I'll contest are rotations was slow. So when we went to the locker room, we watch some film. And we had conversation right away on what we can do in the second half to get better and be better, and we was able to transfer it into the second round. Last thing I'll ask you about. I know Coach Vogel keeps on telling us That he was going to use the memory of Kobe Bryant to fuel this playoff run and continue to talk to the team about it. How have you channeled that to motivate you through this run through the postseason in this most unique environment? Then today, we just so we make him and his family proud, and that's all it's about anybody's ever step foot and put on the Lakers jersey we hoped would make them proud as well. Americans and the right to vote: Why it's not easy for everyone to cast a ballot
"A conspiracy theory. Grow this large this quickly and be so divorced from reality. It basically goes like this. President Trump is terrified he's going to lose the election. And he's going to use the Postal Service to try to limit mail in voting as much as possible to in effect, disenfranchised Democrats and steal the race, just as he did with Russian interference in 2016. This conspiracy theory, however, has perhaps even less evidence than the Russia collusion theory. Over the next 15 to 20 minutes. We will systematically debunk this most ridiculous conspiracy theory. Way are not going to allow the president of the United States to dismantle the United States Post office and undermine the possibility that absentee votes could be used in the next election. And he also wants to do everything you can Two stirred out and the results of an election he thinks he's going to lose. So why do Republicans stand behind a Z attacks the most popular institution in the United States government? I don't understand why the president wants to block funding for the post office in order to prevent people from voting. That doesn't seem fair or right or leading. It doesn't seem like it is going to steal a lot of confidence among voters that their ballots are going to be counted right Once you start to realize that your entire states conduct elections with mail in ballots once you realize the history of the Postal Service is incredible Accomplishments, you know and how it's a backbone for the country. You know, you understand the stakes of what's going on here. You mentioned Republican leaders as well. Carl isn't this about moral bankruptcy of the Republican Party Democrats, aided by their allies in the left leaning media, been accusing President Trump of trying to rig the election by interfering with the United States Postal Service in an effort to have her mail in voting, But the simple truth is that there's no truth to this claim whatsoever. In May, a scathing report by the Government Accountability Office confirmed what's been widely known for more than a decade. The Postal Service is in deep, deep financial trouble since it's designated as an independent agency. It's not funded by tax money, but rather expected to support itself through the fees it charges for using its service. But as technology has made email and messaging communication far easier, and competitors such as FedEx, ups and Amazon have eaten into the post office's package delivery service, fewer and fewer people are paying to send mail. This has been a big and worsening problem. Since 2009 when the O designated the USPS as being at risk for fiscal insolvency, as it wrote in the report issued in May. Since Geo's 2009 high risk designation, the postal Services financial viability is progressively worsened due to declining mail volume. Increased employee compensation and benefit costs. An increased unfunded liabilities and debt. First class mail volume has declined 44% since fiscal year 2006. Additionally, employee compensation and benefits costs have been increasing, although the Postal Service's workforce declined from about 786,000 in fiscal year 2007. To about 617,000 In fiscal year 2013. The USPS is workforce increased to about 630,000 in fiscal year 2019. Finally, total unfunded liabilities and debt continue their steady upward trend. Now, this has resulted in the post office, losing roughly 78 $1,000,000 from 2007 to 2019. Senator Barack Obama recognize this way back in 2008 while he was campaigning for president, if you think about it Ups and FedEx. They're doing just fine. It's it's the post office is always a problem. When President Obama took office, his administration attempted to ease the financial crush on the post office by altering collection routes in removing mailboxes that simply weren't being used. In the past 20 years, The Washington Post reported. Back in 9 202,000 mail boxes have vanished from city streets, rural routes in suburban neighborhoods Mohr than the 175,000 that remain. Between 2011 and 2016 The Obama administration ordered an additional 14,000 mailboxes removed because they were underperforming, which the Post office defines his collecting fewer than 25 pieces of mail per day. This routine elimination of mailboxes to consolidate mail collection and keep operational costs down has continued since President Trump was inaugurated in 2017. But now President Obama and his vice president Joe Biden, are casting this as an attempt by Trump to keep people from voting. By mail as president, Obama told his former advisor David Plouffe, on a podcast this past week. What we've never seen before, is President say, I'm goingto tryto actively kneecap the Postal Service encourage voting and I will be explicit about the reason I'm doing the postmaster general said, would delay the approaching liquidity crisis. That was all the aid for the Postal Service in the cares act completely. Separately, The bill also gave $400 million to something called the Election Assistance Commission for distribution to states to prevent, prepare for and respond to Corona virus domestically or internationally for the 2020 federal election cycle. This, however, wasn't enough for Democrats and they're now demanding a $25 billion bailout for the post office in the next round of Corona virus relief funding, as well as $3.5 billion earmarked for mail and voting on Fox Business Network President Trump said. Well, that was simply too much. You know, there's nothing wrong with getting out and voting. You get out and vote. They voted during World War one and World War two. They should have voter ID because the Democrats scammed the system, but it's two of the items are the post Office and the 3.5 $1,000,000,000 The mail and voting Now, if we don't make a deal, that means you don't get the money. That means they can't have Universal mail in voting that just can't have it. So you know, crazy will be many more just nature. Now Democrats have interpreted this, says Trump, admitting he's deliberately trying to sabotage mail in voting by preventing the passage of desperately needed funding for it. But this claim to falters under the way to the fact of the post office can already handle the expected flood of mailed ballots this November. According to the Postal Service's annual report. In fiscal year 2019 USPS handled 142.5 1,000,000,000 pieces of mail on a typical day, the report notes are 633,000 employees physically process and deliver 471 male pieces to nearly 160 million delivery points. Now this year, That number is higher because the Postal Service has been delivering stimulus checks as well, A census forms now those alone added about 450 million additional pieces of mail. In 2016 roughly 136 million Americans voted in the presidential election. The number's probably going to be a little bit higher this year. If official set ballots to every single American who's registered to vote. That's about 158 million people, and then 140 million people returned ballots. The roughly 298 million pieces of mail handled over the course of several weeks would be well within the Postal Service's ability to handle them all. Now. Officials, of course, won't send a ballot to every American who's registered to vote, and not every voter will vote This too. His false. The changes were ordered to streamline mail collection and limit mail carrier overtime costs, which top $1 billion per year, as the Washington Times reported. In the past, postal delivery worked this way Ah, worker would arrive in the morning and work on various things in the office. Sorting mail handling holds on mail waiting for incoming mail to arrive. To prepare for delivery that often involved waiting around for hours and then starting an actual delivery route later in the day once started, a route has to be finished, and that involved workers going into overtime as they delivered through their route as evening approached. Did. Joyce plan, which is now being implemented in a pilot program in about 200 cities is called expedited to ST Afternoon Sort. A Shin or esa es un during a worker will arrive in the morning. Collect all the mail that was ready to go out and head out for delivery. It's known as retrieve load and go. Then, after finishing the delivery route, the carrier would return to the office and do in the afternoon. The office work that used to be done in the morning that way, when the end of his or her shift arrived, That would be the end of the workday. No overtime would be incurred. Mail that arrived to the office in the afternoon. While the carrier was doing office work would be delivered in the next morning's route. It would be ready and waiting with the carrier arrived for retrieve load and go. The effect to customers would be that mail was delivered to the office in the afternoon. It would be delivered the next morning. Instead of that evening, the effect of the Postal Service would be to save an enormous amount of money in overtime costs, streamlining operations and making the postal service more effective. However, this has been cast as mail carriers simply leaving pieces of mail, especially mailed in ballots on the floor for days. For weeks at a time. There's no evidence to support this baseless allegation. Justus. There's no evidence to support the notion that the Trump Administration has been removing mailboxes or mail sorting machines in an effort to a happier mail in voting. Mail in voting might be impacted by not but not by postal service operations but rather by individual state laws, which make mail in voting cumbersome, especially in New York, where a congressional primary conducted at the end of June still doesn't have a declared winner by the middle of August. The Postal Service, in other words, can easily handle mailed in balance. It doesn't need a $25 billion bailout, and it doesn't need $3.5 billion on top of the $400 million that has already been earmarked specifically for mail in voting. The Postal Service will remain fiscally solvent at least until the end of 2021 but efforts to change it efforts listening to the Dan O'Donnell show.
