Dinesh Reviews China’s Plan for Ending the Ukraine War
"Now let's turn to China. China has put forward a 12 point proposal. The resolve the Ukraine conflict. And let me go over these points just very quickly. Respecting the sovereignty of all countries. Abandoning the Cold War mentality. Seizing hostilities, resuming peace talks, resolving the humanitarian crisis, protecting civilians and prisoners of war, keeping safe, the nuclear power plants, reducing strategic risks. This is a code for nuclear weapons, facilitating grain exports, stopping unilateral sanctions, keeping industrial and supply chains stable and promoting post conflict resolution. Now, I say I list these because they're actually all or nearly all very reasonable. So here is a framework that I think steers a middle ground between on the one hand, you know, basically just leaving the Ukrainians to survive in a war that they will surely on their own lose or on the other hand, this kind of unending escalating. We're going to keep going until the Russians declare, you know, admit defeat, which is not going to happen. So against the west's alternative, which is essentially prolonged protracted war that could go on months here as maybe who knows. China is basically putting forward this framework now. You might think that zelensky would just dismiss it. It's ridiculous. I'm not going to go for it because zelensky seems to be kind of in Biden's back pocket. But nevertheless, here's the Jerusalem post. Ukraine's zelensky says he plans to meet China Xi. And it says zelensky on Friday, welcome some elements of the Chinese proposal for a ceasefire. So zelensky is obviously probably realizes he's on the ground after all that Ukrainian victory is not really in the cards. So there's going to have to be some sort of a ceasefire.

Doug Examines the Governor's Race in Oklahoma
"Turn to one now that is, I think, in the end is going to hold for the Republicans, but it is far closer than frankly, it should be. Mayor for Allen, who was the governor of Oklahoma, run in 2014. She won by 15 points. Kevin Smith, who is the current governor of Oklahoma one by 12 points just four years ago. And now this race is a dead heat. As far as polling goes, it's a dead heat. This is also one of those races where the national environment is, I think, affecting an inversely a little bit. Kevin said, he's been a great supporter of not only Republican conservative colleges, but also criminal justice reform, making sure his state is getting the most bang for their buck as far as when it comes to punishing those who do wrong. But yet also making sure that there is a way for them to come back home to get jobs to stay out of jail, all things that conservatives should be about. And it's really interesting in this race you've had the Democrat joy hofmeister who has been attacking Kevin Smith for basically doing things that Democrats have talked about for a long time and that is reintegration and using criminal justice system to actually help people break the cycle of violence and break the cycle of pain in their own life. This is a very much of a disappointment and the idea that from governors actually taking a stand on issues that matter, Republicans have got to come together in this race. I think they will. Mark Wayne Mullen is on the Senate side here and he's going to win and cruise to this election fairly easily. James lankford is well. I think this will pull this into the Oklahoma governor's race and that you'll see when this one. But

"That he figures out on TV I'm gonna lose this thing I might as well get my two and a half hours of fame Yeah my might as well go out with a bang right Yeah you know I don't even know what his possible strategy could be at this point other than saying you know what let me just throw everything out there and hope that maybe something along the way resonates with at least one person to make this not a unanimous verdict At this point I think all he's trying to do is convince at least one person on that jury that Kyle is guilty of one of the charges so that at least there is a hung jury on something And that's what they trust you in these types of cases If he was in any way a good prosecutor he would go in he would make his case He would go through the elements and say look at how much we have proven this case Of course it's beyond a reasonable doubt But because he doesn't have that he just has to blow V8 hoping that something he says somehow clicks with at least one gym member and that he can be like okay great We didn't lose the entire thing But this is why again the prosecution charged initially 6 counts and all of the western included because they're hoping that something sticks If they were ethical and they weren't trying to just overcharge this thing then they wouldn't even allow this case to proceed Like we talked about before But they would only charge what they know that they can prove And prosecutors do all the time have lesser included That's not a big deal But this just shows you how so many prosecutors will charge the highest possible offense they think they can get away with to try to coerce the plea agreement And when Kyle was and his lawyer said no way we're going to trial Now they're just trying to throw everything against the wall to see what sticks He's doing the same thing but CNN and MSD and C and all of these other pundits are trying to do is just save face and save their narrative And I hope and pray to God that these jurors understand their obligation to be fact finders and not listen to all of this character assassination and warp theory but actually look at the law look at the facts and render and appropriate verdict according to the law Jenna walk me through something I know you were not an attorney in Wisconsin but this seems like a pretty basic legal question I'm almost perplexed as how this happened So there was a lesser misdemeanor charge of this possession It was a possession charge for the firearm Now the possession charge had two elements that were not optional they had to be met One of the two either the individual had to be underage which rittenhouse was not That's just a matter of fact not a matter of opinion So forget that Or the second element was that the weapon the rifle rittenhouse possessed to meet the misdemeanor possession charge How to be a certain length A short barrel like carbine type rifle How is it that just today just today Like we're a day whatever of this this incident happened a well over a year ago just today the judge finally says the prosecutor banger hey man like you charge them with this possession charge for the firearm Has anybody measured it So it meets the short barrel And am I crazy How is that ethical I mean I'm just thinking in my time as an investigator things we investigated counterfeit One of the elements of a counterfeit charge to pass in counterfeit is the money's got to be counterfeit I mean if you don't bring in case the court then the last minute go oh snap It's real money where we screwed that up How did this happen That is a great question And you know this isn't just about not being able to meet the elements of the offense when you have witnesses when you have people who are testifying that maybe a little bit flexible in their memory and are some of these things that can happen because this is a live ongoing trial But these are things like there's no dispute what age Kyle was There's no dispute the length of the firearm And so this is I think just this is bad practice on both sides of the table Both sides of the aisle So the prosecutor absolutely shouldn't have charged this if he can't meet the elements of these events And he could have figured that out a long time ago But this is also what pretrial motions are for And I don't know how hard the defense looks at this Obviously probably not well But this seems like this could have been a pretrial motion to say listen they charged this but clearly the facts here do not meet the elements of the offense And this could have gotten thrown out much much earlier So I don't know what the defense was thinking there if they didn't do a lot of pre trial motions practice A lot of times in criminal trials they're just there aren't as many motions practices like this as there should be and likely and I'm obviously just speculating but likely the defense was so focused on the highest They weren't really looking at many of the lesser included potentially until today after the close of it You know I'm glad you said that because you know I'm not here you know cheerleading for anything other than justice I mean it And if it was an oversight by the defense attorney as well then that's kind of a big one I mean that's a big deal Again I'm just thinking back to not a lawyer I don't pretend to be but as an investigator there are elements of the crime in Jenna's a lawyer they're not optional correct You have to either meet the elements or you don't And the fact that nobody thought to ask that did this firearm fit the criteria for an illegal possession charge I don't know is just really stunning Let me ask you one final question procedure wise talking to Jenna Ellis great lawyer good friend hosted the Jenna Ellis podcast which you should check out Mechanics wise So the defense has to rap Sue in the running out of time So they'll wrap excuse me prosecution The defense comes in then gives their two two and a half hours if they choose to take up that time And then correct if am I correct here the prosecutor geese they have the burden of proof comes in and gets a rebuttal of that And then it's over and then the jury is I guess in this case I don't know I don't think there's sequestered I'm not sure But that's mechanically how this moves forward correct Yes so prosecutor finishes defense has their closing argument and prosecutor gets a rebuttal So the state gets first and last And then the jury will start deliberations tonight And that goes as long as they want to deliberate The judge can not give them a time constraint So while everybody is out there tweeting hey we may get a verdict tonight Remember there are 5 counts There's a ton of jury instructions There are evidence a lot of evidence to review that the jury can do So I don't think we're going to get a verdict quickly here But the judge and the attorney.
990 The Answer

"9 90 The answer The following program was pre recorded Welcome to this episode of the Charlie Kirk show with us today as a friend of mine And he's rarely ever wrong In fact we had him coming on our program leading up to the election and he got almost all of his predictions correctly Richard barris from the people's pundit and also we had you on for the Georgia thing and you were the one that early said hey we got a problem in Georgia and you were right So we're gonna hear to talk about California polls and so all right Richard let's cut through all of the nonsense Yes the way it works in California for all of our friends in Maine and Massachusetts in Florida and South Carolina It's a two part question Yes or no recall Gavin Newsom And if yes then who Let's start with the yes or no Do you think that the yeses are going to outnumber the nose Yeah so we polled it a couple weeks back and we had no ahead by a little bit Charlie but let me leave this with you The caveat here is that I thought my share of the you know this is part of polling I thought my share of the white vote was a little bit high California's usually 45 50% tops and did see other pollsters that had him in the 60s If you look at who is voting right now this is why Democrats are nervous The electorate is very white and it's much older So if the electorate and we had them at 50 we had whites at 55 but we still had the age breakdown to be pretty young So that could a two point advantage could easily be swamped by a demographic difference like that The problem knew some has then I was just saying this before He needs white liberals and Asian voters to come out And they are the least likely to want to vote The whites were over 80% certain to vote when we pulled them And Asian voters were in the 50s So I mean it really goes to show you Yeah I've got a close race can turn into you know a nail biter either way It really can So you think this is so really tight Gavin is kind of already sort of saying the polls are showing him with big separation ten point lead He's going to defeat this recall Are you seeing that You know I'm not I'm not seeing that yet Is it possible toward the end California groups together a little bit I suppose it is but again The X Factor really is at the most likely somebody is to vote the more likely they are to vote against him So we looked at the entire register voter universe too and Gavin Newsom would survive by probably ten or 12 points if he got a typical turnout That's the problem We didn't see that it was going to be a typical turnout I can't even tell you guys how many people we spoke to and they didn't even really know there was an election I'm not kidding So as much hype as there has been that's why I mean I do give the possibility that you know he feels a little bit better I give it some credence because he's spending an awful lot of money now And they did that because they knew they were in trouble He can not count on Hispanics to come out like a presidential election or a typical governor gubernatorial race They don't like him That's just the reality He needs his white liberal base and which is you know the Bay Area and he needs those Asian voters that have slid a little bit actually in the last two years But in the end when we press them they said well if I go and vote I'll vote to keep him So they're the most loyal base that he has But if you go throughout the central valley Southern California he's performing very weak there I mean people should understand And we got Virginia around the corner If Gavin Newsom even survived by ten points it's a flashing red light for Democrats He's going to talk up at ten point win He should survive this recall by 30 35 points I mean this is a very blue state So you know in Virginia you just can't you can not afford a 20 point slide if you're a Democrat in Virginia Yes I was going to ask you regionally So basically the base for Gavin is that whole Bay Area right It's San Jose It's Oakland It's downtown San Francisco But as soon as you start to get into Stockton and you get into Modesto and you get into Fresno and you get into Bakersfield that kind of central valley corridor that could screw up some of the polling in my right Richard I mean they could run up the score almost probably like 7 to three almost like a 70% to 30% margin against Gavin which could really it would be more probably more decisive than a regular election would be because they hate Gavin Newsom in the central valley Yeah you have benefited to from doing some district level polling Some of that's for clients Some of that's for a public polling project we've done But take districts like 21 David volatility or whatever whatever the Trump impeaching Republican out there he barely squeaked by but his district was plus 18 get rid of him So that's basically even district Jim Costa I mean he's a I don't even know how many year incumbent Very under the radar barely barely known But he won that district 20 points in 2020 even though Trump did much better But they want to throw out Gavin by an 8 point margin So I think that you know California is a big state It's diverse It is difficult to pull We waited a little bit differently which may explain why we have a little closer race than some of these other people are showing But in the end when we drill down into these districts I mean he should not be losing California 16 by 8 points I mean that's.

Her numbers are plummeting, of course with Democrats in Arizona, which I think makes her very vulnerable to a primary. I just course it does. I mean, Kelly, I think Kelly is up by something ridiculous. Like just in the polls of like, 12 points over her, Um, for you know the Democrats. It might even be more than that. If there wasn't a better chance. There should be someone prime primary her challenging her like she's not doing what she was elected to do. And I'd rather just go to another Democratic progressive. See Venice lose it to a Republican again. Yeah. Yeah, well, um yes, the last time I just I love this beat the people. This hinges on like this hinged on the last time, they said They've been fighting back and forth. I mean, I don't. I can't even keep track of this sometimes, can you so this is like advancing it to keep talking about it. It's like I don't know what it would be a lot of done done. There's a lot of friction between now and when it gets passed so that that's not a little tentative about its chances. Right Like in the last room, Democrats accused Mitt Romney of reneging on a previous deal that included funding for water infrastructure as well as investments to replace lead pipes nationwide. A spokesman for Romney called that claim laughably false. Oh, my God! It pinned the Romney outrage made her. I think this is an alert from the Mitt Romney outrageous system. The Mitt Romney outrage level has been elevated from Troubling to appalling when the Mitt Romney outrage level is at appalling. Take special care in public places when doing normal, everyday tasks such as operating your car elevator or grooming your dressage horse. However, it is important that in a Mitt Romney appalling state of outrage, you continue to go about your business of supporting every Donald Trump policy. Otherwise, the terrorists win this change in Mitt Romney outrage status is more severe than last month's change from bothersome to disconcerting, but not as alarming as in 2018 when the system went from Upsetting to unpleasant. No. This has been an alert from the Mitt Romney Outrage system. We now return to the regularly scheduled programming of 101 strings performing the greatest hits of the Ramones. Okay, Dana Okay, so it's just it's always hard to keep. John Tester had a big smile last night, so I have to hope there's like, seems like we're this was significant last night, you know, I mean, it is. It's just that it means someone could insult. You know Mitch McConnell's wife, and he will decide that he doesn't want to vote for it like it's just that sort of thing that you really can't tell. What's about to happen. I made the most disturbing thing was making me continue to love Liz Cheney. But I, uh we, you know, we just learned of acid shooting scorpions that shoot acid out of their tails, and that's what she is. And we you know what we're going to use her. She's vicious cheese. Fantastic. She's on our side now. Yeah, well, just love her for a little while. Love the one we're with, right? That's right at 11 for a little while. It doesn't erase the past. But I am glad that the future is looking brighter for Liz Cheney at this moment, right for the democracy of America right now. We'll love the acid, too. Yes, Yeah, She's an acid shooting Whip Scorpion. One of those things called Jesus. Yes, that carry her offspring on her. You know, there's always there's a breaking point for. I think everyone until you realize that maybe you know you were raised in a family that didn't happen other than the other daughter. Maybe. Didn't have the best outlook with politics and maybe you're realizing through things getting so so bad that you're making decisions really bad decisions politically for decades and If this is what it takes. Hey, let's see how long she stays here. Yeah. Yeah, well, I'm just sick of these Republican hypocrites. Did you see this? Senator Josh Holly introduced a bill that he says is about promoting people's love of America. This insurrectionist They're just such phone. Ease. All of them, aren't they to love America Act? I Spark would promote patriotism and education. But now not allowing federal money to go to any public schools that teach students about how white supremacy racism played a role in founding the United States. Yeah, we'd hate to Dana, have I am I being a stickler for pointing out? The Constitution was written by people that owned other people. Or is that not? Is that not part of our history, is it? No, No, no. I think you think that's fair. That's fair, Okay? I just point of order. Um, yeah, at the Democratic Texas state, rep said. It's a strange dynamic. We're seeing Florida and Texas are trying to out compete each other to see who can pass the most far right Neanderthal legislation. The focus is not Children. The focus is on scoring points with old white voters who see the country slipping away from them demographically Period, right? Listen, we know that white nationalism has been involved with things from colonialism to slavery. This is this is the foundation of our country. It's not just one thing, and there's nothing wrong. There's nothing wrong with acknowledging that and not necessarily. We can't fix the past. The only thing we can do is do better moving forward. Why is that so hard to ask people? I just don't? I don't understand. Yeah. Um, yeah, It's cancel culture for our history is what is basically what it is. All right. So we have more pure Dana 46. Minutes after the hour, this portion of the show brought to you by Wow. Wild Alaskan company. It's wild. Have you ever been at the fish counter? You're like what is previously frozen. That doesn't sound good. It's.

"That conviction leaders dot com. So let's talk about the overview for the It's the end of the week. So for every Friday longtime listeners of the show No, I'd like to do a we can review. So let's see what happened today said on Wall Street was a mixed session. The big news of the day came in. Before the open was the jobs report, and you had the jobs number. The headline number miss expectations. They were weaker than expected. So I'm going to read some notes. Gary sent me for the show. I'm going to go on just how he sent them. And then I'll talk about the market wrap that we can review and all the other fun stuff so first carries his employment is less than expected. The headline number was less than expected, blaming on Delta Covid. But don't forget you're getting checks that are being sent out. There's still nine million unfilled jobs, the economy slowing down a bit, but not sweating it just yet. The major indices are fine, Gary says. NASDAQ is still good, especially software. Gold mining stocks are now doing better. They may be an emerging area mentioned that they were starting to move out a few days ago, but they're moving out even more now. So Gary mentioned a few days ago on the radio. That gold mining stocks are looking good. They're getting better, and they're looking much better now. So that's something to watch. There's the Gld, which is an ETF that tracks gold. There's GDX, which is e t f that tracks gold miners. GDX J. Richard Juniors the You know the miners, but the junior wants, so there's just some and then we can go through some gold stocks as well. And then also, Gary says, the last piece the note that he sent me was also semis. Semiconductor stocks may be ready for another leg hop up, and that's take her symbol s M H so you can go through and we'll talk about semis and gold stocks after the market wrap. So first thing I want to cover here is the jobs report, which we just did. And give you the market wrap. So the market ended mixed today The Dow was down about 75 points closed at 3 35,069, the S and P. 500 was down about a point and a half. 45 35. The NASDAQ composite closed up 32 points to 3 15,063. The Russell 2000. Was down. 12 points to 22 91 the vics, which I don't normally cover in the market. Rapid I do want to cover it Is that 16 37 so far, that's fine. But walk the Vicks the major industries like I've told you before our extended carries mentioned it as well here due to pull back if the VIX spikes above 20 and or 25 you start seeing a big pullback in the market that could spell trouble, But for now, the markets fine. It's just something I like to watch every once in a while. Look at the vics and look at these spikes in the vic's tend to correspond with big down movement in the market, so For the day. The NASDAQ ended higher than has that composite the Q Q. Q was up for the week. Its up and now we're getting extended above the 50 Day moving average, like I mentioned to you multiple times on this show this week. It doesn't mean we can't go higher. It's just that probabilities are you know we're going to be pulled back at some point in the near future. Typically extended markets need the pause, and in order to put digest the recent move. They either do one of two things either pull back. Or they move sideways if they move sideways at the more bullish scenario, But a light volume pulled back into the 50 would also be very, very welcomed for the Q Q. Q. The NASDAQ 100 Now for the S and P 500. The S P. Y also ended higher for the week. It's also very extended. I mentioned yesterday on the show if you want to go look at a daily chart of one year daily chart of the S P Y. Take a look at it. And look at how the 50 Day moving average has really been important support for really about 12 to 16 months or so. It's once again extended every time the S and P or the NASDAQ has gone extended over the last 12 to 15 months or so. Since April in March of 2020, it's pulls back into the 50. It's just every single time it does that It's normal. It's healthy. It's now extended again. Which doesn't mean it's going to pull back tomorrow. But just be on alert that we are overdue for a nice pullback. That's the SP. Why the Dow D I A ended the week. Slightly lower, not a lot, but slightly lower still above the 50. It's not as extended as the S and P and the NASDAQ. So this is moving sideways Watch resistance 3 56 60 for the DEA, which is an ETF that tracks the Dow Jones industrial average to be taken out, But the data was still basing. Meaning it's still consolidating its latest move and is still moving sideways, which is fine and healthy. The mid caps the M D y the S and P 400 steam thing. Still basing. The high this week was 57 31 the high from back in April of this base, you've had a four I guess. Five month base forming now with the mid caps was 507 63. And the high this week was 57 31 again. Please, General, I can't make this stuff up. That's how technical analysis works, right? You want to just look at prior highs prior lows, Inflection points, moving averages. Bases patterns so on and so forth, because all of that is very, very important when you analyze markets. So, um, the mid caps are about to break out there. I mean, they came within a few cents of breaking out this week, so watch for that to just move sideways for a little bit and then break out. If they do break out, that would bode well for the broader market. Now there's finally the Russell 2000 small cap index. The, um, for those of you following at home, is moving sideways in along. I guess. Sideways consolidation going back to February. That's a seven month base or five months base depending on how you want to count the basically the weeks but more or less than February. The markets the I W has been going sideways back in February. The idea, um was at 2 20. 2 30. Now you're at 2 27. So as far as I'm concerned to seven month base that being said it's now in the middle of that base. Briefly undercut the 200 day moving average for a day and then got right back above it back in early August. About 3.5 weeks ago, and then it got back above the 50 right afterwards. So Think of resistance as a ceiling in a room and supported the floor in the room. For the last seven months, the I W and the Russell has been going between 2 34 53 about 207. On the downside, so to 34 on the upside and to seven on the downside, right now you're at 2 27. It's just been range bound, which is normal and healthy because from the March low if you go back to the Covid low of last year, it was at 95. So basically the small cap index, Russell 2001, from 95 to 2 34. It's not a type boats on a mistake. The low in March of 2020 was 95 for the I W m. Hi just a few months ago. Was to 34. It has to pause and digest that move, and that's exactly lays General. What's happening right now. It's healthy action. We're in the middle of the base. If this can get going and break out above 2 34 that's 2000 stocks that are going to break out of range and go up that would bode very, very well for the rest of 2021. And really into 2022. So putting everything together..

Third quarter, Crowder dribbling slowly to the left pass to Paul and a foul he tried to rip through move didn't matter, And in fact, they're over the limit. So Chris Paul is going to go to the line in the bonus. That's all that matters. He knew he knew he was going to free throw line. He wouldn't do it. There was three lap three fouls on the Milwaukee How about Cameron Johnson steps in in a pinch because DeAndre Ayton picks up his fourth foul early in the period. Cam Johnson's got 12 points in 16 minutes on five of eight short shooting, and he's having to play the bottom side of the zone and holding up admirably 10 and a quarter for him, But you called it early. You're Monty Williams with the decision to go with that, and we will find out I'm going to say, as Chris Paul misses the first, But this lineup, I would doubt has been on the floor any point in an NBA game, much less an NBA Finals set that line up for you, Paul Booker Bridges Can Johnson and prouder as Paul splits the free throws 77 71. Issues. So as we look at the standings right now, and they're determining the standings by winning percentage of As they normally do to a degree. But it's more important this year because there is a disparity in the number of games in some cases, a dramatic disparity in the number of games that have been played by some of these teams. Virginia continues to Leave the CC. They're also the highest ranked team ranked ninth in both polls. This year. They're 11 and one Florida State 17 18 19 in the Coachespoll seven and two Virginia Tech 18 80 17 in the Coachespoll eight and three and, of course, Notre Dame. And it's opening salvo opening weeks of the season played both Virginia and Virginia Tech twice. So one of the reasons that they started on five as they played two of the top three teams. Four times during those first five games. And that did cause some issues for Notre Dame. Louisville is next in fourth place at six and three. Clemson in North Carolina at seven and five tie for fifth. Clemson comes in here on Wednesday night. Syracuse is then they're in seventh at six and five. Lucas, eighth at six and six. Pit 95 5, depending on what happens in the game going on right now in Atlanta, then Georgia Tech five and six again. That depends on what happens. If the Irish they're in 11th right now, at five and seven. If they win, and tech loses, Notre Dame will move ahead of them. NC state is in 12 of foreign eight always play them in a couple of weeks, Wake Forest and 13th three and nine. Miami is three and 10 in 14th Place, and Boston College is in last place at number. 15. They beat Louisville at home. And, of course, they beat Duke at home and just lost to Virginia Tech at home in overtime before having their game postponed against North Carolina. "That audio courtesy of the NFL on CBS back in 1969 just to give you some context on this. The Vikings were 12 point favorite in this game of 12 Point favorites so again, even though the Jets and upset the Colts the year earlier, Still, everybody felt as though the NFL was far superior. And so is 12 Point favorites. The Vikings were being shocked in the third quarter. It was 16 nothing. Then the Vikings finally got on the board to make it 16 7 and Dave Osborne touchdown. 16 7. People wondered, OK, is the game turning momentum back to the Vikings and then that play hit from midfield. Len Dawson, Otis Taylor Taylor makes a move, then breaks away into the open. Field to score that touchdown that would ice it 23 to 7. The chief would win that game. They would shock the Vikings again shocked the NFL and the following season, the FL and NFL would merge into one NFL into the F C and N F. C. The A F. L had two titles in the pre Super Bowl era of a FL NFL championship Games 2 to 2, and that was the first championship in first title in chief's franchise history. At least in the NFL days, and then it would be another 50 years before they even made it back to a Super Bowl, which is just what is amazing about last year, but the chief's hadn't even been in that spot. A half century, But before we get there, let's go to the only appearance of the Buccaneers have had in this game 2000 and two the Buccaneers under Tony done, she had been knocking on the door. After years of being an embarrassment and the yucca tears Dungy took over the franchise in the mid nineties, and by the late nineties they were true Super Bowl contenders, but he couldn't quite get over the hump. In 2000 and two Jon Gruden was traded for from the Oakland Raiders. They traded away a couple of number ones to get group that included immediately pay dividends as the bucket ears would shock the Eagles, the NFC championship game closing down the vet is we just talked to Warren Sapp about it a cold, frigid night in Philadelphia. And then it was bright, sunny San Diego against Oakland, the Raiders and Jon Gruden's former team and Earmark of this game was not Gruden's offense. It was the Buccaneers defense, absolutely mauling Rich Gannon and Bill Callahan's attack. Here's just yet another of the huge moments by the Buccaneers defense that day, third down 18 dropping again and looking down, looking gave those up with Derrick Brooks 30 bucks for the 29th Derrick Brooks on the way. Third is that daggers and we're gonna win the Super Bowl. That's gene Decker off on bucket ears. Radio was a pick six by Derrick Brooks in the fourth quarter. At that point, it was 34 to 21. The Raiders head scored the previous possession or two possessions before that. Jerry Rice 49 yarder, So they had close it within 13 points. But then Gannon back to pass Brooke steps in front of it 44 yards later, it's a pick six and then to end the game, Dwight Smith would do the same thing. In this game. The Raiders were favored by 3.5 points. But ultimately Dexter Jackson define that bucket ears defense and Tampa Bay had its first championship it only championship in franchise history. Had reached the NFC championship game back in 1979 and then again in 1999, but couldn't break through. They finally had their Vince Lombardi Trophy. That was the last time the bucket ears. Had been in the Super Bowl 18 years ago. In the last time they had won a playoff game. That's what was happening this year as the Buccaneers got to the postseason and 13 playoff games, all on the road..

"Is like not particularly good like they're fine. I think they've eaten dog. Allina they've beaten Clemson they beat Kentucky, Kentucky. Oh, yeah. Yeah, but like they've also lost a Georgia State and Mercer, right? So this is a solid team that has some athletes like Moses right in Jordan Usher and I kind of thing Michael Devoe is still like a semi sneaky NBA Prospect at some point but like this is not some crazy team and I'm at least I'm intrigued to see how he deals with playing just like a solid college basketball team. Yeah with with resume wins. I think people will forget go look back in a few years ago. They beat Kentucky and Duke that year and just forget like they weren't the Duke and Kentucky of of how they normally are. Right? No question. Let's get to the Louisville real quick. I thought David Johnson were good. Like his numbers. Don't add up to anything crazy special. I think he had 12 points 8 rebounds five assists two steals in a block. Do you have the box score up, correct? I wrote down the notes page. Okay, but made some just like ridiculous passes that Louisville missed and was really good defensively in the second half against Matthew hurt. I'm still like pretty much a month or David Johnson guy. Like I would have him in the top twenty somewhere 645 I would like him to be a little bit bigger for what the role likely is going to be. I don't see him as a point guard cuz I don't think he has enough bursts to get into the lane consistently doesn't have enough craft off the balance yet. But I think he's going to shoot at some point and the way that he processes the game is very quick and he makes pretty rapid reactions to where I think he's going to be a good secondary ball-handler at some point in the NBA probably Jones at him both played all 40 minutes to I mean, they're the lifeblood of that team the past is you see a lot. I mean, he does everything one hand live dribble. He had one Hook from like the left side. They hooked to the right for an open jumper. He gets himself in trouble at times getting a little bit too age. Delaying and the scouts that I've talked to the biggest hang-up is the turnovers but at 3 game, I don't also see him as a primary ball-handler, but I like I'm actually the other end of it. I think I'll I'll take all the 6-5 with like a 6-10 wingspan big hands defensively. He's all over the place. He took to heart that defensive matchup with Matthew hurt. The jumper has made a dramatic change last year. He was twenty-three. I'm sorry last year. It was five 4:23 all season this year. He's already twenty three four fifty-four. So he's made more threes this year than he took off of last season and one Scout that I talked to made the point of and don't go crazy because I know Tyrese halliburton's having like a an unreal year, but could he play that second birth type of guard where he doesn't have to be this Dynamic playmaker. He doesn't have necessarily the I guess movement the craft to be this guy one-on-one off the dribble but stand in the corner can shoot off. A bit play the defense as it recovers and don't have to be this primary Creator. Yeah. No, I definitely think that's the rule for sure for David Johnson. Not quite as good of a shooter as Halliburton jobs know I was hesitant to even say it just know the second guy stands in the corners like oh the Rookie of the Year a great, dummy, but I think you're right in terms of the role though. Like I don't think he's as good of a project is Halliburton was I mean I had however it's seven like I thought he was he took the seven I feel good about that one..
