Think of that complaint since the off season about this team that bullpen worst I've ever seen. The owner slash the payroll. They didn't reallocate the money. I can't believe that you like the glaciers going in and and Bradley go and And yet, through all of that, they're not 100 lost team. They're a team that's 12 games over 500. And yet it's like they believe this happened by osmosis or something, or that David Bell somehow some way is only responsible for the 57 losses, and he has nothing to do with the 59 wins or 69 wins. That's what's odd to me. No credit for having anything to do with the 67 wins, but fingerprints all over the 57 losses. No, I go back to Saturday night. It's funny. I waited and I waited and I'm still waiting. Saturday night was a game where David Bell pulled like 12 different levers during the game. And they all worked out. Haven't had one single person say. "My problem is that these guys can get hurt easily. And not hurt easily. But they don't know when to get dap there. You've got to show their toughness. They're gonna try to do things that show that they're tough. And this is that kind of coach. If you ain't jumping up, you ain't coming in the game. Right? That's I mean, that's a great point. And that's the thing that we focus on with especially McNamara, You know, because we saw it last year, and you know he was Pretty light as a young kid, and you know, that was the thing with a guy like when Joe Milton is here. You looked at him, and he said, Well, he's 225 £240 or whatever. Maybe maybe more right on a good day. Who knows? I mean, he was the type of guy that you you thought? Well, he can withstand some of this. It doesn't work out. You go back to this situation now, but you're dealing with a smaller player who's got to Or to be able to handle that, because as we've seen the way Josh Goddesses offense works, the quarterback run threat really does have to be there. Jamie like it does have to be there like all times for this to really work the way they wanted to work. As we've seen if you take away like when Patterson was digged up that one year and everybody knew it right and everybody knew he wasn't going to pull the ball when everyone knows That that option is taken away. It becomes that much easier to defend right and he talked about having the ability to make these final adjustments based on what the defense is giving me in terms of a look. An alignment if you take one of those away from your place, because your quarterback can't handle you know enough On the ground. Then all of a sudden you got to change a lot about what you're doing. So those are all things that they have to, you know, take into account as well and strength gains and all those things and being smart gave me like you said, is a big one being smart. You know, that's Pulling it when you need to pull it, but also making sure that if it's not, you know an obvious whatever sometimes pulling it and only getting three yards is still productive. Because at least you're keeping them honest. You know what I mean? So so those are situations. I think that they have to go through the quarterbacks and make sure everybody knows like you said they're on the same page there that you know you want to Make sure that your guy if you find a guy that you like that he's able to stand up and take all this for 12 games, at least so you know, that's a big big factor here. Exactly And you know, it's in its key. I mean, the other thing is, I mean, Nick, we're not fooling ourselves. Look, Josh Gattis is in his third year. I mean, I got to see So much, much improved. With this office. I've got to see. I mean, they made changes to the offense. Look, my card is now in the running back, Coach. Somebody you really people have wanted I want. Yeah, you know. So, um, you got I mean, I don't know about Ceron more. I think that I've been told that the offensive lineman love him. They know that he's a tough coach, but he does it with a labor of love. I need to see improvement from this offensive life. A lot of these guys got a lot of playing time. Or some playing time when they did play games last year, So I want to see improvement with them, Um, the wide receivers they lost. They lost one of the best y receivers they had, but A. A lot of these young guys got a chance to play. I want to see how they improved. I mean, really, I think what what You want to see here from all these guys that you just mentioned there's people in every position group, you know, like you said, that all got time last year, and a lot of them got time and in some pretty Hot under the collar situations right where it wasn't comfortable, and it wasn't very fun. So you take those lessons and you internalize them. And what really, I think what you need to see from Gattis offense here in your three is is a quickness and a crispness and, you know, play to play. That we haven't seen yet, You know, And I think you know what I'm talking about. When? When you watch Michigan play. You can always tell when They're free and clear on offense, and you can tell when they're thinking way too much, And there's way too many times. In the last two seasons. Really? And urban pockets where you can tell that it sort of clicked. You know, later on in 2019, you can tell those guys started to get it there. You know the reaction times were faster. Guys are coming off the ball faster. Exploding. You know these types of things, but We saw this a lot last year would be a little sluggish because guys are thinking too much and guys don't really know where to go, and we don't really know what we're doing on this one. Or he doesn't know what he's doing on that one. You know those types of things. Always show up, and it makes you look slower than you are. So I think really, What we need to see here is that Kind of lag. Time needs to go away. If that can all go away, and these guys can just play up to their athletic potential, then you're gonna have a chance to hang with anybody. You come across because they still have recruited as we know. At a good level. They've still got good players in the program. As we know, Um they got offensive lineman the program that if they transfer tomorrow would have a you know a list of people calling them longer than you know, any of us could put together, so I mean, they have guys that can play. It's just a matter of now. Are you going to get the time on task? Right? Are you going to get all the details down and yeah, Jamie, Like you said, That's on Josh. Get it. "Can't count them out. That music just gets me excited for football even in July. Can't count them opportunity. Questions aren't in the NFC West. You know, your Raiders are kind of hanging on the bated breath of Aaron Rodgers to see what he'll do because they think that might get them Davante Adams. If Derek Carr gets a stud receiver and Adams maybe that elevates not only the Raiders but the entire division out west in the A F. C I think the best division in football and it's not even close is the NFC West. When you look at the quarterbacks alone, all four you have confidence in if you're a fan. Russell Wilson Healthy Jimmy Garoppolo, the Rams, adding Matthew Stafford and, of course, the kid Kyler Murray out in Arizona. You have four quarterbacks in the division where there's no mysteries if they're healthy, I mean, Jimmy has proven to be a winner in in the short time in in New England, but really with the with the 40. Niners took them to a Super Bowl and came up short. The Rams have been in the Super Bowl without Matthew Stafford in recent years. Of course, Seattle and Russell Wilson last year won 12 games and And then you're talking about the Arizona Cardinals and Kyler Murray, who is a tremendous player, and I got DeAndre Hopkins out there so You can't count out the Cardinals. In fact, they had the NFC West has four Super Bowl appearances in the last eight years, so half of the Super Bowls have been represented in the NFC by the NFC West. Only the NFC South has two and that's you know the Falcons in the box, and that's just because of Brady and uh and Matt Ryan in Atlanta. The A F. C North is the only other division that last year had three teams 500 or better the only other division in football to have three teams 5, 500 or better, And if you look at the that division, the A F. C North, some big question marks around the Pittsburgh Steelers. And the way their season ended and the future of Ben Roethlisberger in Pittsburgh and Joe Burrows health in Cincinnati. So two of those teams, the Ravens and the Browns, I think are amongst the elite. But again, Do you have faith in the Browns? They are the Cleveland Browns. They do have Baker Mayfield is a gun slinger. But do you really have faith in them this year? Expect them to be in a championship game. I don't know. I still think they're playing with house money in some ways, But when I look around the NFL A F C East, the NFC East. There's tons of question marks. The NFC West is by far the premier division in the league. Think about this. A division that already had Aaron Donald already had Bobby Wagner already had the 40 Niners. D They add JJ Watts. They add J. J Watt to the Arizona Cardinals. The NFC West is going to be a gauntlet and I think the representative of the NFC in the Super Bowl Will come out of that division. The reality is they have one of the best offenses in baseball. They are Perennial winner this season, and they are not To be trifled with and what's interesting about where they're at, and we'll get the Tim Bay in a little bit. Both of those teams Don't look to me on paper like actual contenders. You look at the Red Sox in particular, It's hard to see how they're going to win a best of anything serious with that pitching staff, But you know what they are. Winning baseball games. They're getting on base. J. D. Martinez has returned to form and I'm done down him. I'm just gonna from here on in when they're on this list, Given the respect, not my head. Let them do their thing and move on Number four, even though this is a great thing. One of the things I love about about sports and about life is that you can rise above your circumstances, You could be better than your limitations. And if you're the Chicago White Sox Your manager is how do I say this really bad with his job, but excellent, isolated an entire clubhouse and not understanding how the game works today. You can still be really, really good. 12 games or 500. We knew the White Sox were going to be excellent this year. They're by far the best team in Chicago, and that's a Cubs organization, not on this list it has over achieved this season. Love with white socks or about love what they're doing. And so we've been. We've been really looking forward to the start of this season and thankfully, the weather's cooperated this week and starting, you know, last Tuesday, it was really good. I'm seeing activity back to the wall part again. I mentioned 1st 12 games of the season. We're on the road. The first home stand began on Tuesday. That's currently going underway playing Frisco again tonight. You all have different socioeconomic backgrounds to me. You are rich. Some you are poor Sam. You're black, white brown, whatever. And you all different jobs and everything. But at that moment when that anthem plays everybody for that 90 seconds, however long it takes everybody in that arena. Everybody in that stadium is all the same. They're all Americans, and they're all proud. Of their country, and then after it's over, we all go back to being very different from each other. But for that 90 seconds we are all united. We're all the same. That's how it used to be. It's not that way anymore. It just isn't the anthem doesn't mean that to a lot of people anymore. You know, people are sick of the injustice in our country and things like that. And What I am used to me until people it doesn't mean anymore. So let me ask you if you are at a sporting event now again, Mark Cuban can do whatever he wants. He owns the team. He owns the stadium. And he got it approved by the MBA. But if you're at the game and again I'm just speaking out loud. I'm not saying that's our field. Don't get your panties in a bunch, but If you don't feel that way about the anthem. I mean, can't you just sit down? Or can't you just maybe go to the back? Utah basketball coach Larry Krystkowiak says he tested positive for COVID-19, along with multiple players in the program
"University of Utah basketball coach Larry Christo Biak said on his weekly radio show Monday night that he has tested positive for covert 19. Youth coach who's heading into his 10th season, also said the lion's share of a total of eight players who are living in two houses five and 13 and the other Have recently contracted the virus. Utah basketball spokesperson declined to provide the exact number of positive cases within the program. "Never convince me that penny hardaway a was just by cannon out money to a mom because the mom wanted to move to be close to the daughter if the mom son was a mid major player. James is in high school to play basketball for east high school so he could win a state championship. That still doesn't rise to the level of what these cases usually are in other words. Penny Hardaway was a memphis booster. Yes and he provided money to a mother of of a student athlete. A recruit a student athlete true but it wasn't to get James Wiseman to go to Memphis. It was to get as many go to east high school and so that's unusual. That's not the way these things normally work now. I do think you can start to connect some dots here. Because Penny has said that he had no idea when he provided that money to James Wiseman and it allowed to move to Memphis. He had no idea that he was going to be Memphis head coach in one day recruit James. Listen to Memphis and I can't tell you what he had hit so I can't say that's is not true. I can just tell you that. I had an idea that he would be the head coach Memphis in fact on the day. James Wiseman moved to Memphis. I said this is why. You've got fire W. Smith after this season in higher penny hardaway it because if you wait another season as minority be signed to Kentucky but if you do it after this season after James's junior year of high school then at some point either before or during his senior year of High School Penny Hardaway could bring him and the other players that ever relationships with to the University of Memphis so it penny didn't have any idea it was going to happen.
