All right. Let's talk about Milwaukee for a minute. The Bucks, pretty good, right? Well, they're sitting third in the Eastern Conference standings right now. Yeah, I think they're what, like 10 and three in the last 13 games? Something pretty solid. But you watch these games. It's iffy night to night, brother. Yeah, you don't know what you're going to get. It's it's the old Forrest Gump line. You just don't know what you're going to get. The Lizards had them sweating in the last. Yeah, that's what that's why. Like when I was making I dropped the the Bucks down and my power rank is a couple of slots because, you know, wins are wins. But how they got those wins, not so great. The the numbers for Lillard and Giannis are not great. They're not great. So I pulled this up at NBA.com. Lillard and Giannis have played 339 minutes together. Their offensive rating is 110.6, which would be bottom five in the NBA if that was an entire team defensive rating. 111.0. Not great either. They have a net rating of negative 0.04. And like if you just search Lillard's name in the two man rankings, there's a lot of guys he's playing with that. He has better net ratings than with Giannis. Now Lillard has come out and said, look, it's not easy, right? You've got to figure it out. And I'm actually willing to buy that. Like, I'm willing to believe that Damian Lillard, who is a high IQ player, who is still a tremendously talented player, is going to figure it out. Like they'll figure it out. Adrian Griffin will figure it out. I think the firing or whatever it was of Terry Stotz, however that played out, set them back a little bit. Terry would have been a nice kind of bridge, someone that knows Dame's game and figuring out how to make it all work. But I think they'll figure it out offensively. Defensively is where I think there could be some lasting problems, because Lillard is not going to transform overnight into a great defensive player. Malik Beasley has been positioned as this like stopper. I don't know how that happened. They don't have anyone on the way. They don't have anybody. And you watch some of these games and you mentioned the Wizards game. I was watching that like Jordan Poole. Granted, it's Jordan Poole. He's not going to pass. But he's doing like these straight line drives to the basket. Like he's just going at these guys. And that's something that worried me when I'm watching these games. Couple that with the fact that I don't think Adrian Griffin's quite figured out how he wants to defend. Like he was doing early on that kind of Toronto defense was extending guys out like 30 feet and relying on athleticism that doesn't really exist in Milwaukee. Now they're kind of back to that bootenholzer dropish coverage, at least from what I've seen of their game. So there's still very much a work in progress there. But I'm more willing to believe that offensively the work in progress will work itself out defensively when you've got Lillard Beasley and still banged up, still recovering Chris Middleton. You're not getting great perimeter defense one way or the other. It doesn't matter how many shots that Brook Lopez blocks. He's blocking a lot right now, but it doesn't matter how many shots he blocks. You're not going to be a high level defensive team without being a high level defensive team. They're not getting past Boston. They're not getting past Philadelphia. They're going to have a lot of problems when they get to the second round of the playoffs. How do you see it? The Milwaukee thing is interesting. First of all, shout out to Brook Lopez, who went nuts on the Wizards the other night. I think he ended up with over 40, like 39 late in that game. Crazy. It's like 49 of his 50 blocks. I saw some stat have come like the last 12 games. Like it is a block party for Brook Lopez. I'm nervous about the Bucks, and I don't know if you're familiar with the Gwyneth Paltrow classic Sliding Doors, but them choosing to go down this lillard path. Who has references sliding doors? OK, continue. Sorry. Has set off a series of events that if you gave the Bucks some truth serum, I really wonder how they'd feel about it, because what's hilarious to me about the Bucks and I wrote about this last week is this is all happening in the backdrop of the Boston Celtics being far and away the best team in the NBA. Record wise, net rating wise, best starting five in the NBA. Going back to the NBA, you know, trove of of lineup data, which is, I think, 0708. The first season you can look up on their website in terms of lineup data. The Celtics not only have the best lineup in the NBA right now, they one of the best, most efficient lineups in NBA history based on the data we have available. Like that's how good they've been. And they are, if the Bucks are Dr. Frankenstein, the Celtics are Frankenstein's monster, because the lillard trade is what got Drew Holliday in Boston. And what's funny to me about it, and I thought about this after these two teams played the other night, Boston, wire to wire win, really Milwaukee made it close late, but.

"The issues are everywhere, man. I just don't know right now that you could say Monty's the right coach for this group if he's getting the most out of them. You want to pull the chute on Monty? What was his contract? You can't. You can't. Six years, $78 million. You know who was probably the happiest person in the world when Monty Williams signed that contract? Michael Malone. Every other coach everywhere? But they're financially hamstrung there. Cade Cunningham, he played 12 games last season, he has an injury. I'm not suggesting that he could have played at the end of the season, or if it was a shutdown they knew they were going to tank, but it's been a very long time now that we've seen an extended stretch from Cade Cunningham's game that Lindsey believes he's going to be a franchise type number one. I don't even mean like, it's too much pressure to say this guy's got to be the best guy on a title team, but could he be Donovan Mitchell? Could he be in that next tier of guys who's kind of the lead guy on a good team? We haven't seen anything to suggest that really this season. His efficiency's been terrible. I mean, I get that they've been missing Monty Morris and Boyan Bogdanovich, like two vets they thought would help stabilize things here, but it's rough, man. If you're counting on Monty Morris and Boyan Bogdanovich to save the day, you're asking why. It's dire straits, and you know, they've picked like 1st, 5th, 6th, 7th, like they've had plum draft picks the last five or six years, and it's brutal to watch, brutal. I've got my power rankings up today, Tuesday. Detroit is 30 with a bullet. Like they are super glued right now into that 30 spot. You go back to last season and the Pistons have lost 44 of their last 49 games. You have to really try to be that inept. And to your point, like they have been the lottery for the last four years. They have had some success when it comes to lottery location the last four years. And they can't win. They can't win. They have no energy. They're lifeless. Their defense is bad, but that's just like run-of-the-mill bad. Their offense is horrible. They are horrible. Yeah, constantly turning it over, fouling all the time. Like they are just, they're bad offensively in every possible way. Jaden Ivey can't get any kind of burn under Monty Williams. To your point, Cade Cunningham looks like a decent number two on a winning team and not the number one that you would hope for with a top overall pick. They just don't have talent. And I've seen some people out there saying trade some of the veterans. Like first, who? Who are you trading off that team? Second, you know, for what? Like tear it down. It's already torn down. Like their win totals last few years have looked like a locker combination. It's like 20, 23, 17. Like these win totals are awful. You can't fire Monty Williams. Like he has the definition of unfireable. Like with a 70 plus million dollar contract. He has the definition of unfireable. Do you fire Troy Weaver? Like, I don't know, Troy's got a pretty good eye for talent, but this team like Troy might be better off being like the director of scouting for this team, like being the guy that, you know, goes out and scouts town because some of these guys can play. Jalen Durn can play. I thought Jaden Ivey last year, Ivey last year could play. You know, I will say number one, a bad draft. Yeah. Ivey's had some nice moments this year, but to your point, he just hasn't played that much. Like he looks better, but he hasn't played enough. And it not only which is weird. Yeah. And they also, you know, they're like, we'll take a chance on Marvin Bagley. We'll take a chance on James Wiseman. Like those and good turns are good. But that doesn't work like, you know, Bagley's a scratch. Wiseman barely plays like they're not even seemingly really able to develop these guys who theoretically had top of the draft talent. I mean, you read a good point, like they can't really fire Monty. So what's left? I mean, I do think they should probably trade Bogdanovich and Morris just for the hell of it. Like, might as well lean in at this point. Those guys are both on expiring deals anyway.

"My last game I played I played in the rose bowl we lost the rondane at Stanford. And we all four years. We wanted to get there. We wanted to play on New Year's Day. And we didn't play well. And I pray for these teams to when they're on this stage, just play well. And I hope that these four teams play well. And I don't want anything on uncertain, you know, unfortunate things to happen in the game. But same thing. I think my wins, but I do think since then, he has the goods to hang around and cover the number. I do. I wish I want to bet Cincinnati. I wish they would have had just one other game against someone like an Notre-Dame. You know, just, you know, because if you have two in there, they beat Notre-Dame, can't take that away from them. But like you said, the rest of the schedule, you don't know if that how much credence to put in that one note. I wish it was just one more. They had one more game like that. In terms of evaluating for this game? I mean, and that's the thing nobody wants to hear. It's like, I think Houston's pretty capable team. I was really impressed. They needed to, I mean, going in and not knowing what happened in the big 12 game. Like, Cincinnati had to go in and be impressive and win..
Race to the Finish: Time for the Yanks to Seal Their Playoff Spot
"So now we got this series against the Orioles coming up in The Bronx guys. What else do you want me to say? It's simply has to be a tweet, a tweet. It simply has to come on Twitter. Sorry. It has to be a sweep. They can not settle for anything. It's the rays lost again to the Red Sox, not entire. I don't know what's ideal for the Yankees now. You know, do you want the raise to keep losing and the Red Sox gaining ground? The Red Sox are a game and a half behind the Yankees now. It's just three in the lost column. And the rays are 6 and a half up on the Yankees for the division. So luckily the Yankees have this three game set against the Orioles that they truly have to take advantage of because the Red Sox next 9 games, oh, I'm sorry. Red Sox next 12 games come against the Indians, not bad, but not great, raise White Sox and Mariners, and those latter 6 are on the road. So ground to make up here for the Yankees who will have the Orioles, the Blue Jays and the mets in the mets, the one makeup game against the twins and then the Orioles again. So this is it, guys. You can really kick the Red Sox. You could really kick the Red Sox down by taking advantage of wins here and watching them lose some

"You've got 12 games. You're playing teams around the country now. You're playing Michigan's got a team. On the west side of the country. Alabama is going to be playing, you know, a team from Kentucky. You know, it's it's you know, as far as you're playing out of conference now. We've gone through a year now where you've been able to figure out how to make things better, how to protect yourself better in terms of this disease. We're allowing fans to come back to stadiums now. Which is something that I think everyone is tickled pink and his ecstatic about that we can finally all convene at our favorite football stadium on Saturdays or Thursdays or whatever day the game falls on. Do better be. Put your big boy pants on. And do what you gotta do to make sure you get your games in. There's no holding hands anymore. No more holding your hand to walk you through a little Johnny. Johnny, Come on. Come on. We're taking into class. Now. We got to go to the stadium. We've got to be careful now. Be a man and grow up. So this is the point. Right now. We're now at a point where we have that ability to be grown ups and be safe. We've gone through a year now. Let's be let's put our big boy and big girl pants on. And let's be good. Let's do good so that we can actually get through this and like you said, Let's let's learn. From last year. Because Michigan wasn't the only so many of these athletic departments at the TV. Everybody involved took a a substantial blow. Yeah, to the revenue generated by the conferences by the schools themselves, and and we, you know, we were able to measure that Nice. Just nice approach. But now you're see your kind of look. Is it about is it about the almighty dollar? I mean, do we come that That's what it's about. So it's not about the players enjoying themselves or the fans coming back. It's about the Almighty Dollar takes up, saying Wu Tang said it best cash rules everything around me. Dolla Dolla Bill yards, what it comes down to T V money. Well, it's not about the player that comes back and says Hey, uh, the African American players said he he says, Well, I still don't trust the drug. Because the Tuskegee, uh, exercises the things that came out with that. You know you tested him you that these are these are not good for persons of color. These are these are designed for this and these are designed for that. Or people saying, you know, from a religious standpoint, I can't do this. I can't do that. And no, I'm just saying, and that's Fine. No one is knowing is putting you in a chair and strap you down and say, Listen, you got to take this vaccine or you don't suit up. No one is saying that What people are saying is be smart. Use your head. Use the head. That's on your shoulders, not the one that's on the other side of your ass. That's all people are telling you to do. Use the head on your shoulders and be smart about it. That's all it is because last year money was down. Money was low. Everyone wants to make money, money money, but at the end of the day is what it is. There's a million reason why million reasons why the Big Ten's put in this rule in the like You said the subtle pressures for all of these different things. But if we want to say that money is not one of them, or, you know again, we we took money is the key is the real money and everyone certainly going to be one of them. So that's that's you know, again, That's that's a part of it. Yes, Jamie keeping these these players safe, just keeping them it puts pressure on them to stay. Diligent because again now you don't get to reschedule that game. There's not a possibility of making up. It's it's a loss and who counts against your program accounts against the you know, accounts against everybody. So it's just Another level of pressure that they're putting on these teams to make sure they stay diligent. Last word, miss. Go ahead. Who's the first conference that put that that made this that the first conference? I put this in place? Wasn't the sec. That was the first conference sec was first? Yes, Aren't they? The one that always say that it's different here where football rules the land where football is dominant everywhere. If the SEC is putting it out there, and the big 10 is now adapting at the A. C C is probably adapted. If they haven't already the Pac 12 is going to be next in line. Adam Silver Says Play-in Tournament Expected to Stay
"What are your thoughts on the NBA player playing tournament to keep it or scrap it? Keep it. I loved it. Made the last 10 12 games of the season. You know so many more teams. So many more fan bases were emotionally invested, You know, from 6789 10 11 12 seeds, so I loved it, And I know some of the players didn't Sorry to hear about it. If you don't like it come to, you know, go find another line of work because it was outstanding for the game. And the game is bigger than any individual. The best part about that to me about keeping it is that anybody think about tanking Making something part of the progress process. You can't do that because Everybody wants to compete more than ever before. Players like Look, we know you got to make organization decisions, but we have a chance to get in the playoffs, get playoff money and understand the playoff experience, then that's going to work for us, Adam Silver says is here to stay. It should stay. I don't care Anybody else has to say about it. This was a boon to the NBA. It was not a detriment when it comes to the end of the regular season. Either or Better quarterback to build around Joe Burrow or Justin Herbert.

Right there, you know just how many days it's been talking before we talk about this season. Talk to me just a little bit about how difficult 2020 must have been for everybody in the organization from the ownership to you, too. Burl down. The players. No fans. No baseball. Yeah, it was just it was really a nightmare. You know, coming off of a really great 2018 season, we become a triple A team in 2019. Um, really had had great attendance looking forward to a wonderful 2020. And then you know, three weeks before the season started, all kind of gets, um you know, the rug gets pulled from under us and And just trying to survive and we unfortunately we had to reduce our staff by about 70% just to just to be able to survive and, you know, make it make it through again almost a year and a half of No activity was very difficult. He was able to do that capture their attention. And then by the way, they played better. And so I understand the response from people is gonna be well. How much faith or stock can you put in a late season, Serge? Um, you know when the chips air you know, off the table, and you have nothing to play for pressure's off. In this case, my response would be look at the roster and line up. He had it is disposal $38.7 million. As a team, you're icing and $81.5 Million league. I think he did a lot with a little and you know what? It's a fascinating story with Sandra Natto And you know the game doesn't always give you what you deserve. But for what he's been through and also The coach that he was at one point in his career. The HL coach of the year the next hot thing. It's gonna make your players and your team better. You don't need a finisher to come in and win the Stanley Cup. You need someone that can put your team back on the map, and I think he's the guy to do it. So not so not towards is what you're saying that I would say the exact opposite. "Special guest tonight, tonight is Jeff Goodman. And before we get to his latest zesti, take on Joe Brown which we will a little bit later in the show. We just want to welcome him to the Garden report. Post game show and Jeff will give you first bite at the Apple. It's I don't know how many times we're going to say worst loss ever because it feels like we've said it a lot. It's hard to not bother. It's hard to not tell this the worst loss ever. This is so this Jeff they work. They were atrocious and embarrassment but I don't listen, I don't care that Jayson. Tatum and Kemba Walker didn't play. I do care because I think Jason should have been out there. I don't know how bad the injury is, or whatever, is dealing with public. And it came like this, you gotta be out there. This is what 11/12 games left in the regular season. You needed this win, you could ill afford a loss like this, but even without Tatum and Kemba last name. They were without shade gilgeous-alexander, and they stink, they absolutely stink. They're trying to tank they've got a garbage team other than Lou door and you lost. And so we needed to give him a day off. Let's pick the game and they pick this one on the back to back on the front, end of a back-to-back, and it burned him obviously. Curry's 30-Point Run Ends: 'It Was a Special Ride'
"A babe a streak. Bay Area. Pro sports teams have owned the sports headlines for the past week. Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry set the NBA record as the oldest player in league history to score at least 30 points in 11 consecutive games. The Oakland A's who lost their first six games of the baseball season, carried a 10 game win streak in last night's contest against Minnesota. One Street continued, but another came to an end Steph Curry, who had scored 96 combined points over his previous two games. And who would hit for 42 arm or in five of his last 10 games, finally went flat curry not spicy against the Wizards. He made only two of 14 shots from three point range scored. 18 points total first time in 12 games. Steph Curry did not reach 30 points. He was a great room, whose nose in a some point is a special ride for sure that this age was this very special. The Warriors lost to the Wizards won 18 1 14 Steph streak over at 11 games.

"But like I'm not the most talented Ohio State team here. Like I kind of think that Baylor if they can get past that eight nine game in the second round. I mean like I'm more worried about playing North Carolina than I am playing Villeneuve Purdue at this point. Yeah, and I think it's also the region where everyone is going to pick that Winthrop over Villanova game and and look again you you can't fault people for doing that and people want to talk about what upsets to pick. It's a 5:12 game. We usually that's the one we get the most of the time right like I get that so, you know, it's very possible way that you know, you were talking about this before we got on that Jay just uses that and Villanova comes out and just blast them but it's also possible with them does pull off the upset that everyone thinks, you know, possibly could happen and that would fit that tubular gets. I mean like it is possible that this this gets even easier and I'm with you because I think Arkansas has been incredibly fun team to watch they've been really hot. Ohio state has had no choice kind of two bursts of being hot, you know, they're running the tournament and then you know, the the Run leading into that Michigan game a couple of weeks ago, but they're they seem to be playing above their talent level and like off Of Chris holtmann, I think he's great. I think he seems to be I think he really likes this team. Like I think he likes the players the chemistry everything that they've got but it's honestly a little bit remarkable that they hang with a noise and Michigan's the way that they have in some of these games in recent weeks because I just I don't I don't think there is talented. Now. What does that mean for a tournament run? It could go and a couple different directions. Yeah, totally like, I know Chris holtmann really loves the steamed. I know he loves the togetherness of this group. I mean, like look well, we'll talk about this when we get to your region cuz I have a specific question. I want to ask you what this Michigan team. But I like how you calling in my region. I am calling at your agent. I mean, I'm scared if that to 15 matchup for Ohio State like I can't tell if I'm just like terrified of everything as someone who do state and once that team to be successful or if I'm like, holy shit or Roberts has two pros and Max admits and Kevin open are like I'm terrified of everything off. Then bio States draw except for the 7:10 game. It's probably both and also maybe been watching so much major basketball lately that year brain is a little bit like off-kilter off. No, I think that's probably right. Like I spent a lot of time yesterday watching mid-major basketball and I think that my brain is broken. Okay, let's go to the Illinois region the Midwest here. You're right, Illinois has a really tough decision that loyola-chicago match up in the eight-game. The 1-8 game is really interesting just because it'll be made out is like taking back Chicago game or whatever because there'll be some something about being like the the team of Chicago something. Yeah some some weird narrative Oklahoma state is in this region. Oklahoma state has the number one overall picking Kayden Cunningham. Tennessee is in this region tenants has to potential lottery picks in Keon Johnson and Jaden Springer Syracuse in this region in Syracuse is always terrifying because of their Zone like straight-up nobody no coach like wage. Rep for that zone in a tournament shortened atmosphere. Houston is really tough in this region..

It is across the time line. His ball. Scruggs for the Musketeers gives it up, too. Kunkle working along the sideline left with the floor into the corner of Pastor Paul Scruggs Bluffs, the three I was looking down low. They give it inside. Xavier now forced Foul. But that's only the fourth Fallon the Musketeers with the minute eight to go, Xavier trailing 86 to 77 Joe. "Are committed to change that. I shot to save that they got our tone much hurdle with the first goal of the year. It's on the power play. And the sharks. Take the Lino back A Murph in Mac on KNBR, 1045 and 6 80 these sports leader, Polly, Let's get some pock on man's do it, Man. I can't believe we got this. Will you know why we haven't seen the Sharks? In like a year and a half. No one tell they've been dealt a pretty tough hand here, man. It's like getting kicked out of your home. Kind of like what the Niners went through. You know, we saw the same thing, Well, ending an epically long road trip and actually coming home to San Jose is reason enough to have the voice of the Sharks. We love him. Of course, the TV voice of the Sharks Randy Han on the Murph in Max Show on the Yuma gas lines, So he ready Welcome back to the show has been too long. Can't believe the sharks are back in town. It's been about 15 years since they've been in the arena. How are you, Randy? Morning Ready? I'm doing well, just a little bit of last night's loss Hangover. But that goes away after a few hours, but he has been a long time. Between the end of last season, and then the start of this one. The Sharks went over 300 days between games and now, with this long stretch of games to start the road, it's on the road. It's gonna be close to 350 days since they've been it s safety center. So I'm really excited to be back there on Saturday after him. I can't wait to have you guys back and in the players to just I mean Lewis. First I'll back up a little bit. This this road trip. I mean, 56 and one right on a 12 game road trip. Is it fair to say that that's All things considered not a tragic outcome. I think from the outside, that's fair, and I certainly look at it that way. They had a chance to finish above 500 with win last night that didn't work out, but they still basically hover around 500 going through the longest. Road trip to start a season in NHL history, and that's 100 some years old. So that was a rather epic beginning and to at least be in the hunt for a playoff spot, which is what it's all about Their four points out right now, after that stretch, I think is okay internally, and if you listen to Logan to tour the captain, they're not happy. They feel they should have done better. There was a break of a week long because of some covert protocol problems for Vegas. There an inability to play it would have only been an eight game road trip. Had Vegas been able The play, but they had to take some time down to get well again and that resulted in the sharks being off for a week. So the guys don't really feel like it was 12 in a row on the road. They played eight that they came home that they played four so they're trying to stay out of the excuse business and they feel like they should have done better. You know, Randy, I just want to talk about the shark goaltending a little bit Martin Jones, and in particular, you know, uh, watching it between the pipes, you know, and seeing him get pulled again. That's the third time. You know, Jones has been pulled this year and then those three times of all, um, translated into shark losses, But I guess my question is When a goaltender like Jones, who's used to being out there sees himself getting pulled. You know, three of the eight games he started this year. What does that do to a goaltender's confidence? If anything, I mean, can that rattle Ah, goaltender psyche? Well, sure it can. And but I think one of the keys to getting to the level of the NHL is a goaltender is that you have to learn how to forget that least within the moment of the game. You have to forget the goal that just went in and bear down on the next shot. You're going to face and you talk to any NHL goalie, and that's the money and said, And that's the sub Pete Over a prolonged period. Of course, that's gonna wear you down. If that keeps happening. Jones didn't have a good night last night. Jones didn't have a good year last year, but neither did the The defensive structure in front of them, and it's never usually just the guy that Z the problem when when a goalie has itself tonight, it's the quality of shots he's facing. It's it's a combination, but certainly the Sharks need better goaltending all around, and particularly to Mark Jones. Absolutely. I'm talking to Randy Han is the Sharks Come home for the first time in forever? You said it was what 300. What was the number since the last time they skated ASAP? Well, it was 309 days between actual games and then you throw in the 1st 12 on the road. So you know, it's been forever almost almost a calendar year. They get to take on the Vegas Golden Knights afternoon affair yesterday or tomorrow. One o'clock at S A P down in San Jose. I wanna go macro here because you know, for a lot of fans. They've been disconnected from the sharks for a long time. And then they haven't been in the arena. I know the fans can't get into the arena yet, but just to kind of go macro. I mean, we talked about the road trip, talked about the goaltending, but this roster This team these expectations. How would you like if somebody's like, Hey, man, that I've lost track of the shark's After that long lay off one of the realistic expectations for this team. And right now, I mean, I know they still have the stars. We still have hurdle and could sure and cane. But is there you know any concern about the depth of the roster and kind of what they can accomplish this year? Well speaking macro. I think this is really a team that is still in transition. So many sharks fans that may not be the hardcore, but more of the casual fan will think of this as the chilled sorting team or the joke Ravel Ski Team or the Patrick Marleau team. Thornton's gone off to Toronto. Pavelski has gone on to Dallas and And Marlowe's 41. He's in the waning years of what has been a remarkable Hall of Fame career. So you know it's a transition and it's now Logan Couture team. It's a Tomas Hertl team. And you know, so on and so on on down the line As far as death goes, I don't think the sharks are a deep team. This is not a team built this year to make a Stanley Cup one. I don't think they could stun us and surprise us. We've seen it before..

"I think there's any question and that's a game that will forever be known as the never Taos ski game. And the reason we say, never doubt skis because in the post game interview There was a placard behind Larry Christo Reactor, Utah coach of the Colorado volleyball team and the person directly behind him. Was there. A Barrow named Zoe? Never doubt ski. And so they turned that into a slogan, Because never doubt that we're gonna win. Never doubt ski, so that will forever be known. And Utah. Laura's that never Taos Key game. Yeah, that was gonna have legs for a long time. The other part in that ballgame is You got a technical foul, and I don't know what he said. Or what happened to light a spark. But boy, whatever he did on that. Sometimes coaches will get technical fouls. Just tow. Get little energy of the team. Try to shake some things up, but Between the technical foul and Alfonso plumber putting on a show in the second half that ended up being a Utah victory. And they've been rolling ever since. They have a plumber at 23 points, and that's final Eight minutes of the sensational was sitting shots from everywhere and he is capable of doing that. And then they came back home and face the Arizona and and watching that game, especially the second half. They took at Arizona at it. Everything Arizona wanted to do with the offensive end. They were tied together. Defensively, they were getting rebounds. Knocking down shots and just had Arizona in knots the entire second half. So win a Colorado you come back home. You beat Arizona coming into this season. They had struggled last year on the road. They had a 12 game Pac 12 Road losing streak until that Victory of Washington statement, parlayed it back up with the win it at Colorado. So right now, I mean, this is a scary team, and they believe based on their schedule that they got a chance to make a run here not only for winning record but maybe make some noise in the Pac 12 tournament. Now Mark has been very vocal, very vocal, the past about the way that African American people and athletes are treated by. He's he's been very like They're treated differently, and it's not right. So it's not like he's come out of nowhere with this, but on the other hand, you got people saying, Wow, this is where we're going. We're not play the national anthem at sporting events anymore, and You know I used to. I used to tell them. I'm not exaggerating here. I used to tell people that the national anthem is one of the favorite parts. I have a sporting events. And here's why, Because you go into this stadium or this arena where there are anywhere from 2000 up to 30,000 people, and you're all rooting for different players, some of your room for different teams. You all have different socioeconomic backgrounds to me. You are rich. Some you are poor Sam. You're black, white brown, whatever. And you all different jobs and everything. But at that moment when that anthem plays everybody for that 90 seconds, however long it takes everybody in that arena. Everybody in that stadium is all the same. They're all Americans, and they're all proud. Of their country, and then after it's over, we all go back to being very different from each other. But for that 90 seconds we are all united. We're all the same. That's how it used to be. It's not that way anymore. It just isn't the anthem doesn't mean that to a lot of people anymore. You know, people are sick of the injustice in our country and things like that. And What I am used to me until people it doesn't mean anymore. So let me ask you if you are at a sporting event now again, Mark Cuban can do whatever he wants. He owns the team. He owns the stadium. And he got it approved by the MBA. But if you're at the game and again I'm just speaking out loud. I'm not saying that's our field. Don't get your panties in a bunch, but If you don't feel that way about the anthem. I mean, can't you just sit down? Or can't you just maybe go to the back? I don't know, like removing the entire anthem is almost taking a lot of people's Liberty away at the same time, Like a lot of people love the national with a lot of people like to sing. A lot of people feel like that Stir part of, you know, standing beside their kids, So I feel like you. Taking her away is kind of Weird way going. Okay? All you that love the anthem. True? Yeah, Like

"The ESPN N but hard talk about Mark testers. You're four minutes to go in the fourth quarter. Iowa State Write 10th in the college football playoff rankings of 34 17 lead over the Pac 12 champs from Oregon. Iowa State is dominated time of possession, and as we come back from time out, Oregon Ben has its best headway here in the second quarter, they'll face a third and six at the Cyclones 34 yard line. And probably two down territory. Woman. Think down 17 points here with time winding down on this Oregon season that way have no it's much chance to talk about what they've been through The Pac 12 obviously got a late start. They thought there was gonna be no season it all and then for this Oregon team to get an opportunity even to play in the Pac 12 game because someone else could Every team has experienced a ton of adversity and emotional and mental adversity, and we heard a lot of those players talk about the strain and as a team that only played six games, you think well, you're healthier, but they've been around their facilities just is long. They didn't have the luxury. A lot of times. Playing the game is the reward at the end of a long week of practice, But these Pac 12 and Big 10 teams that had the shortened season Had to just pound on each other time in and time out. Organ is ready now with four minutes to go on third down and six and it's a pitch play to die. Go into the left side 35. He's hit tried to break through, and he's tackled after a gain of one and die is so upset. He spiked the ball into the ground break guys worth and will.

"Play the Jets in New York Sunday. Dolphin Center Ted Caress promises he'll take a Jets team with an O in 10 record seriously. There's a lot of dangerous D linemen. Miami has won seven of the last nine against the Jets, including one earlier this season with

Paul Hornung, Midcentury Football’s ‘Golden Boy,’ Is Dead at 84
"Team eventually arrives at the lead, plays a number one place a bread and butter play. It is the play that the team knows that must make go on the one that his opponents know they must stop. My number One play is the power sweep. There's nothing spectacular about it. It's just a yard gainer, the iconic Vince Lombardi talking about his signature offensive creation, the power sweep and a part of what made Paul Horning a legend. In an era that saw colossal leap in the game's popularity. Paul Horning was truly the golden Boy of pro football. Ah Heisman Trophy winner in Notre Dame. NCAA rules Memphis freshman James Wiseman ineligible for 12 games
"Never convince me that penny hardaway a was just by cannon out money to a mom because the mom wanted to move to be close to the daughter if the mom son was a mid major player. I bet that doesn't happen. It happened because James Wideman was the best prospect his age literally in the world. Okay so that's that's his version But even if you accept the more likely realistic not dumb virgin which is now he was trying to get. James is in high school to play basketball for east high school so he could win a state championship. That still doesn't rise to the level of what these cases usually are in other words. Penny Hardaway was a memphis booster. Yes and he provided money to a mother of of a student athlete. A recruit a student athlete true but it wasn't to get James Wiseman to go to Memphis. It was to get as many go to east high school and so that's unusual. That's not the way these things normally work now. I do think you can start to connect some dots here. Because Penny has said that he had no idea when he provided that money to James Wiseman and it allowed to move to Memphis. He had no idea that he was going to be Memphis head coach in one day recruit James. Listen to Memphis and I can't tell you what he had hit so I can't say that's is not true. I can just tell you that. I had an idea that he would be the head coach Memphis in fact on the day. James Wiseman moved to Memphis. I said this is why. You've got fire W. Smith after this season in higher penny hardaway it because if you wait another season as minority be signed to Kentucky but if you do it after this season after James's junior year of high school then at some point either before or during his senior year of High School Penny Hardaway could bring him and the other players that ever relationships with to the University of Memphis so it penny didn't have any idea it was going to happen. That's fine but I had a very clear idea. That not only should happen that it probably could and it actually did so. Oh I do think you can reasonably say and it was interesting because the incident late term this a recruiting inducements and I think you can reasonably caught a recruiting inducement. And here's how the eleven thousand five hundred dollars that went to wise. Mother is what led to him being east high school and him being at East High School at at least contributed to Penny Hardaway. Getting the job and I don't think there's any way to intelligently argue that that financial commitment mid-may that he made to the family didn't help him. Recruit James Wiseman to the university Memphis. I I don't WanNa go on off like ten minute tangent but like. How many degrees breeze removed is that from Mike Boynton hiring Kenan Cunningham to his staff geographic advantage in addition to a familiar one or USC doing the same thing? With the Mobley's you're providing a financial opportunity for the family to be closer to a geographic region. Now that's legal. I have no problem with them. Hiring you're like what like how many degrees separated really from all of that. No listen I'm with you know doing what Penny Wise Men's mother to get. Get James Wiseman eight really that much different than when I say it's less I think it's I don't think I think it's less offensive. Well here's here's the thing. Whatever were you think's offensive not offensive? I got here's the problem. One is allowed. The other is not answering. Wanted to boil down to that. That's what it's always going to boil down to and if you want to change the roles I've said it a million times. Put me in charge. GimMe all the power. I'll change all the roost rules tomorrow. But the rules are the rules as long as they're in place and what might Boynton I did is allowed. And what Penny Hardaway did is not allowed and it really is simple as that you can hate the instable a all you want. I Hate I'm too but this is an undeniable violation and when Memphis started down the path that started it created additional problems that they did not I need to create.
