"Okay. Well, I'm trying. What we've got is we've got several variables working at once. I'm trying to narrow it down. I would say try a few rounds of factory ammo if you could find some if you have some around. If it functions well with that, then we know the issue is the hand loads. Which doesn't mean they're bad headlines, head loads. I think you're probably headed toward the right place if these are particularly light hand loads. I think maybe a lighter recoil spring may be the deal. I'm working on the assumption. If you're a handloader, you've been shooting a long time. You know how to shoot. You know how to control recoil. You know how to lean into the gun. You're not limp resting. Right. Yeah. I'm thinking you're right. I think you're right about the spring. I would say let's run a couple of magazines, factory and move through it. If it works fine and you don't have any issues there, then you go, okay, we've eliminated that variable. We know it is the hand loads. They're just lighter, which is fine. I can say nothing wrong with that. So now you just swap out go the lighter spring for that and should you ever need heavier loads, you just switch back to the factory spring. Does that make sense? Okay. Yeah, it does. Let me ask you, how do you like that loophole red dot? Oh man, that's awesome. I've tried some of the other red dots, and I have a problem when you draw and bring up. They don't come up easy for me. But it's just almost like shooting your iron sights and you can really pelt something out. They're pretty far. You can shoot out 50 yards and pretty accurately. Absolutely. Yeah, this is a delta point. That's what I found. It lines up just like your regular iron sights. Yeah, I'm a big fan of it. I just want some reliability. I'd like for it to feed, please. That's not unreasonable at all. What springs are cheap? I would say try the lighter spring, I think that's going to get you what you want. But just to make sure that's going in the right direction again, I think I would try some factory loads a couple of eggs. If it runs through two megs and doesn't have any issues feeding, then you said, okay, this is a simply a matter of ammo. And we will customize the gun in this case the spring to the ammo, I'd like to shoot. Smart move, that'll work. Look, I appreciate the call, sir. And good luck with that. Yeah, Glock 19 is a great pistol. Oh, and for those who don't know, yes, he did say timney trigger. Timney, and of course it's made replacement triggers for rifles for 7 decades or something like that. Now making pistol triggers both for the Glock and NFP, maybe for some others. Oh, real quickly, mag guts, MAG, G UT Z I just got some stuff from them, replace the follower and the spring on the mags and my P 360 five. They have it available for several different pistols. You can add two rounds to the magazine without extending the magazine. It gets no longer. I

"8 6 6 talk gun. I'm Tom Gresham. Yeah, we had Jerry Nadler saying, that's the point. The whole idea is to ban or to confiscate guns that are in common use. Hard to imagine he doesn't understand that the Supreme Court said you can't ban guns that are in common use. But maybe he knows that he's got something else in mind. Who knows? It's hard to figure this one thing out. And I was talking about your homework assignment, all of us. Every single one of us. They should do that. It's I will do that. I mean, you just heard interview with Rick actor. He read the story, saw the story about this one we had raped and murdered. He said, we have to do something about it. And it wasn't like they have to do something about it. Rick looked at I will do something about it and he started, he has trained over 11 years, tens of thousands of women who shot the gun for the first time. Who've been made safe, at least around guns, they know how to handle him. Can we can you can I do any less than that? On this particular issue, this bill has moved out of committee, headed toward the floor of the House of Representatives in Congress. It is a gun ban. It's a supposedly bans assault weapons. But it bans a whole bunch of semi-automatic rifles, and oh yeah, it also banned me automatic pistols and also banned semi-automatic shotguns, but they don't want to talk about that because they don't want you to know what they're banning. It really takes a couple of minutes, it's really easy to find a phone number you call The White House switchboard, say, hey, I live in Idaho. I live in Montana. I live in New Jersey. Well, might not be worth your time there. Who knows? Who are my Congress people? Who are my representatives? And I would like to be connected to them. You will get a legislative aid on the phone, who say, I would like to voice my opinion on the so called assault weapons bill and asked the congressman to vote against that. They will say thank you very much. Appreciate that. They may ask you your name where you live. That's fine. They just want to find out that you really live in that state. And then they mark it down. They have like two columns on every issue. Yes, no. Whether or not they vote on the basis of that, there's no way of knowing. But the deal is, on most of these, all you got to move is two or three or maybe four people and we win. We stop this. I would rather stop it before it gets to the Senate. I'd like to keep it from going to the Senate. It's too close there, and we can say, yeah, they're not going to win. Yeah, you never know. You never know. We can lose easily on those deals. And we don't want to trust this, have to go to the Supreme Court to overturn. We want to stop it now. 8 6 6 talk gun will get you in here. Called in out of Marshall, Texas on one. Hey, come on, you're on gun talk. What you got? Yes. I have a tire as PT one 45. There's a real smile 45. And I was wondering about them new ammunition they got at a light round like the Novak's Lake, and then I thank hundred badges a little lighter too, whatever good option. So my 45 for, you know, getting a second shot and a little bit quicker. And a little less recall. Oh, okay. We're trying to manage the recoil. Yes, those are possibilities. The other possibility, honestly, is shooter technique. You can't control recoil on awful lot with how you hold your gun. And I'm just going to I'm not even going to make any assumptions about how you're shooting it or anything else. But you want to have a really firm grip, one hand wrapped around the other. It's like you're do you see right handed? Yes, I use one hand into hand holes. Okay, and you shoot right handed or left handed. Right handed. Okay. So you take that left hand, you wrap it around your right hand, basically like you're going to shove your fist of your right hand right into the palm of your left hand. That's your grip. Grip the heck out of it. It's really tight. You kind of like, I guess you call it weaver. Yes, exactly. A good weaver stance. Here's a trick that will help you with that recoil, okay? It's going to sound weird until you try it. And then we try it. You're going to go, wow, that's kind of cool. If you can take your thumbs that are together and rotate them four words under it as I'm speaking right now, rotate them forward so they are actually pointing at the target. When you do that, you take your thumbs and roll them from a straight up position and roll them toward the target. You will start to feel strained along the tops of your forearms. And your muscles start to strain and you roll your thumbs down till they're pointing at the target. And that locks your arms in, you will be amazed at how much that helps you control recoil. I can control it just I'm kind of cutting down and recall. Okay. Well, lighter bullets will certainly do that in the honey badger or these lighter loads will certainly work for you. Go to, instead of shooting like a 230 grain bullet, go to a 148, of correction a 185 grain bullet. All of that will help, and there are some lower recoil loads available from different manufacturers. You might try that. And then try that technique like I talk about. Lean over nose over toes, lean into it very firm grip, rotate those thumbs forward on the target. I mean, I know it sounds crazy. You think, how can that do that? I mean, if you're literally, if you just try it like right now, take your firing grip and then rotate your thumbs forward. You will feel that strain along the tops of your forearms. That will greatly help you control recoil, okay? Just saying that it works for everybody. And

"I can hit that at least four out of 7 times. Pretty regularly. 8 inches ain't real big, 40 or 50 yards. No, it's not. But and that goes back to what rob Latham and I were saying, you can do this if you work at it. Most people, well, two things. Let me throw this up. Most people don't work at it, but also most people have very low expectations for themselves. And they think, well, I could never do that. Never having said, well, let's figure out how I can get to that point. Because I shoot lousy at 7 yards and I think they were like a deputy at 40 yards. Well, you know what? You need to learn to be able to put all your shots into about two inches. Yeah, you got to be able to do two inches at 7 yards easy, right? Yep. And confidence is everything. If you practice confidence growth. There it is. There it is. Look, I got a scooter. I appreciate the call. Great call, sir. I want to get Travis in your own four real quick. Travels, I got about one minute, so throw it out there if you would, please. Okay, Tom. So just a scenario that I worry about. You talked about the Indianapolis shooter 22 year old the other day. Well, I do think as a hero. But what do you think about this scenario where you hear gunshots going off in a mall and that many people are around? And you don't know where they came from at first. And let's say there's more people caring. This gentleman pulls out his gun to defend what's going on, and by the time somebody else with a gun recognizes who's shooting, they don't know who's the shooter. And you end up being shot because it looks like a gang war going on in a mall or it looks like maybe you were the shooter. You know? Yes. No, no. That is a very real concern. And I've said for years, look, I understand that if I get into one of these deals, I'm trying to shoot the bad guy, there is a chance that I could get shot by the police. There's also a chance I could get shot by another bad guy, and you got to figure out if you're willing to take that chance. That is, no, the scenario you describe is very real world. It is not like crazy imagination, and it's very possible. I also would say that most of the time, other people can look at you and figure out that you're not a gangbanger, you're not just blowing shots all over, by the way you conduct yourself, by the way, you move, by the way, you shoot, you probably will be identified as a good guy. It doesn't mean you need to be stupid about it. As soon as you get through shooting, you put the gun back in your holster when the police arrive, you're prepared to be arrested, be prepared to be handcuffed. Don't be holding a gun standing over a body when

"So at the hearing for the assault weapon ban Jerry Nadler was discussing this with another congressman who said, well, this would ban guns in common use. Understanding that, of course, Scalia and the Supreme Court said you can not do that. Nadler says, that's exactly the point. The point is to ban guns that are in common use. And you're thinking. I don't think it's that stupid. But now I'm not so sure. And don't think for a minute that this can't pass the House of Representatives the entire house. It can. In, you know, people say, well, you know, it'll be stopped in the Senate. Probably, but do you really want to take that chance? So this is our chance. It's that our responsibility, this is no, no, no. There's more than that. This is our duty to get on the phone and call the offices of your elected representatives. Your members of Congress, the representatives in the House representatives. And tell them, you have to vote no on this phony assault weapons Bill. See, they don't know because they've been lied to. Most people don't know that not only does it include all these rifles, which won't make any difference, but it also includes pistols and shotguns. It includes a host of semi-automatic pistols and shotguns that would be banned under this. We don't want this to go any further. We want to stop it right now. So your homework assignment this week is to get on the phone and call and probably call more than once, frankly, because you have two representatives called the offices more than what's called the D.C. office and then find their local office in your state. Call them too. Because all these R is clicks, these are counts. They're just counting how many calls on one side of the ledger are on the other side of the ledger. There it is. You want to do something for the Second Amendment? The calls are free. There you go. 8 6 6 talk gun. There is with us out of Carson City on 5. Hey, Barry, what you're looking for. Barry you there? Maybe not. Okay, he went for sandwich. Let's try a line one to say we can get Jared in here from Michigan. Hey, Jerry, do they, sir? Hey, Tom. Yes sir. I got a couple of things. When I got a range report, I picked up recently a KS 47 from palmetto state armory and a pistol only carved on. That thing is awesome. And a 7.62 by 39. So it's an 8 K round. It's an AR platform, but we're that takes AK max and ammunition. Nothing is awesome. You know, it's funny you say that because I have been looking at the list. Of course, like everybody else who gets on the palm out of state armory list, I get an email every day from them. And I keep looking at that and think, that is one interesting looking gun. So you like it. I like it, Tom. It is a sweet shooting gun. I put a red dot on top of it. And it's amazing. Now, so the reason I got it, I got it, so because under I work for a school and under CPL in Michigan, you can keep a firearm in your vehicle at school. Okay. Got it for kind of a truck gun. Just in case. Right? Now, my question is, I've got that in there under lock and key. Got ammo in there. What are the temperature conditions going to be or how is that going to affect the ammo in mags in that? That's a good question. And summertime, yeah, I think it could easily be a hundred plus in there, of course you don't have the windows, which gives the interior of your car very hot. But even if it's a 100°, here's how and I don't have anything scientific to offer you, but I'm going to give you my gut on this one, okay? I think it would simply not bother me, and I think 5 to ten years of exposure to that would not affect anything in the world. And I would just rotate ammo out and the stuff I'm carrying in there once a year, I would just shoot it all up and then go with a fresh supply. I think you'll be fine. Okay. Okay. All right. All right, I appreciate good luck. And I'm glad that worked out well for you. Let's see. Line three, Mike is with us out of stagecoach, Nevada. That's appropriate name right there. Hey, Mike, you're on gun talk. Hi, Tom. I can make the shot. And I don't have any formal training. And the reason is because I just practice all the time. And I'm comfortable with the gun issue. Where do you carry? I carry on Smith and Wesson shield in 40. I like it more than the 9 because it has a little more thought. It doesn't have as much capacity, but I'm really proud of that, kid. You know? And grandpa trained me and I am ex military, but I didn't have a lot of formal training. I was just a mechanic. Do you shoot a good bit? I do.

"Tom talk gun. It's the same number. Get you in here either way. Tuck in your calls, comments, questions. And if you don't like guns, we'll put you at the front of the line. Just tell me why. I'll give you the floor. I got to cut you off. I'm going to shout you down. We will, of course, exchange opinions and ideas. But that would be cool. If you really, really hate guns, call me and explain that to me because I just don't understand it. Because the reality is, I like guns. I like shooting guns. I like the mechanics of guns. I like the challenge of shooting well. And I like seeing the new cool stuff. And recently, I was able to run out to thunder ranch and shoot some more of the cool guns out there. Joining me right now to talk about kind of what we did out there, Dave O'Connor, from Smith and Wesson. We had some fun out there, man. Yeah, we did time and thanks for having me today, but yeah, the trip out comes under ranch, I think everyone had a good time. Yeah, anytime you get to spend a little time with Clint Smith, kind of the guru of this whole deal. He's kind of a combination of drill sergeant and stand up comedian at the same time. Yeah, yeah, no, absolutely. It was great. You know, meeting him in Heidi and Jeff. So just full of knowledge and it was great seeing them in action and learning from them through the coursework. Well, we were shooting the M and P shield plus. We had very cool. And the sheer plus and I've been shooting shields for a long time. And I just have a lot of people. You might have just explained what the difference is and how you get the plus. Yeah, so the second iteration Michelle family is a shield plus essentially increased the capacity to ten plus one and 13 plus one, 9 millimeter different stippling on the grift, less aggressive grip texture. Now, it also, is this one of the guns that's available now in the 30 super carry? Yes, yes, it is. We actually back in January partnered with federal 30 super carry caliber. So we have our shield plus and shield EZ chambered in 30 super carry. And they're both great shooting guns, real fun, different platforms, but they perform well. And the 30 super carry caliber, you know, it's great. You get the proven power of a 9 millimeter, and you get to add capacity and it kind of makes all the difference real world self defense scenarios and especially with the shield plus platform being a micro compact. It's great for concealed carry. Having the ability to increase that capacity, the similar ballistic performance of a 9, it's a home run in my book. So do you get about what your two extra rounds with a 30 super carry? So in a 30 super carrier actually, we were able to increase capacity to 16 plus one. Oh wow. Holy cow. Okay. You know, and I know there are people who say, okay, what's the big deal with a big deal is we have learned through studying lots of shootings out there. Police shootings, everybody else. It's not like the old days when people were carrying revolvers and unfortunately some of the people keep sighting statistics from them, which like, okay, the average gunfight is two rounds and three rounds or whatever. We now are being met with threats that may be multiple people and we will realize we get often takes multiple shots. I mean, like a lot of shots. And so that old adage where they say, you know, nobody ever thought he had too much ammo in the middle of a gunfight, right? Right, exactly. So it's definitely a plus to have that extra capacity in such a small footprint for sure. Okay. So tell me about this other cool new gun you guys have. The CSX. Yeah, so the CSX. We actually launched similar time around chateau back in January. So it's built on an aluminum alloy frame. It's got interchangeable back straps. It's 9 millimeter, 12 plus one capacity, amer fired gun, and then there's additional ten round magazines for deeper consumer that comes with it. But it's essentially, it's kind of nice and 11 S it's got that similar trigger design with flexibility in mind, and although it's a micro sized frame, it has Andy features, which is great for any lefty shooters shooters out there. If a hammer gun, but it does have a safety, a thumb safety that's very much like a 1911. I think anybody who's shot in 19 11s would be comfortable with this. Correct. And yet you have some of the features of the striker fired MMP with the interchangeability of back straps and such. It's kind of an amalgam or emerging. It's like you put a 1911 in MMP in a darkroom and came back a weekend later and this is what you ended up with. There's definitely similarities across platforms for fear. Real fun to shoot. I shot it over at cha cha. It's a neat little carry gun. Really cool. Okay, the other thing you guys have been doing is like a lot of folks. And I've been preaching ten millimeter for many, many years. And Smith has been in that field for a while, but you've got new versions or new things in ten millimeter. That's November last year. We released an M and P ten millimeter. We have it offered in a four inch and a 4.6 inch slide. It's designed to shoot bigger, faster flatter. Obviously it's ten millimeter packs a little more power than 9 millimeter caliber. So real comfortable to shoot even though it's a ten same MMP platform interchangeable straps, similar aesthetics, got that new flat faced trigger, also cover optics. So we essentially wanted to take the all the high end features of M and P pistol and provide it in a ten millimeter offering. And we can't let you go without talking about some of your long gun offerings the MP 12, what the heck is this goofy looking thing? Yeah, so the MP 12 was a big change for Chris Smith and Wesson products. I don't think a lot of people saw it coming, but it's essentially a bullpup shotgun 19 inch barrel, 12 gauge. It has two different magnitudes and you can chamber a variety of calibers, three inch, two or three quarter mini shells. It's a real cool design that their engineers came up with. So it's got magic selector at the end user can navigate. It can hold 6, three inch shells per tube, 7, two or three quarter tube, and many shells, you can also run out of it, which is always fun, higher capacity there. Yeah, it's a neat little design. It's got pick

I know this and those folks out there know this as well. And I know you mentioned earlier that on Omega threes literally lower risk of coronary heart disease. Do I have that correct? That's a big statement, You know? Absolutely. I mean protecting the heart. This is what Omega threes on the map. Back in the seventies, Dr Dyrberg discovered you know how protective they were for the Eskimos. The bottom line is omega threes, protect our heart and so many ways they promoted smooth, rhythmical heartbeat important for the body's normal inflammatory response in the heart muscle inside the arteries and veins. They promote those youthful, flexible arteries. So important for circulation. They promote healthy blood platelet activity Healthy red. Blood cell activity. The report a healthy blood pressure. That's very important. Try to Lyssarides. So they do so much for the heart. So simply amazing cardiovascular protection with these Omega threes, Doc, this study you sent me on this omega threes, and the memory is amazing. It seems that the participants taking Omega threes had some pretty incredible benefits here. When you talk about memory, that is something that kind of slips as we get older. Tell us more about this. Would you write? This was a great study because what they did. He was very interesting this out of the journal Neurology and what they That they be omega three level in the red blood cells of women. 1000 women, older women, So this is a big study 1000 women. But then again eight years later, and the women were on average 78 years old At this point, they did MRI scans of the women's brains and what they found. Steve. This is so amazing. He found that the brain volume for the women that had more omega threes in their red blood cells, the women that had more omega threes in their red blood cells. They had higher brain volume. They were actually maintaining more Of the youthful size of the brain. Their brains were bigger. You could see it plainly in the MRI measurements that's really cool. But not only that there is a very important part of the brain noticed the hippocampus very important part of the brain that facilitates learning facilitate memory, and there was greater brain volume in the hippocampus for people that had more omega threes in their red blood cells. That's how you can really measure how much making three someone's taking in. So if you take omega three, she will raise your Omega three. The index. We know this. It's a fact you take Omega threes, you rate up, so you want to have More omega threes in your bloodstream. Very important. "518 42 again. That's 1 805 118 42 Now, Doc, I've seen these ads where they say that cruel oil is 48 times stronger than fish oil. Is that true? Does that make any sense? Well, you know, obviously he's in the krill guys talking, right? Right, right. But you could look at both ways. Let's get into krill in just a moment. But first, let's have the fish oil guys on the shoulder because you know you could say that the official oil is better and stronger. But we're talking about the concentrated high omega three fish oil here. Because it's higher and you'll make it three CE EPA and D H A. That are so important. For the heart, the brain, the memory mood, your eyes, your skin, your hair, your nails. So in one sense, you could say, well, the fish oils better. But in another sense, I have to hand it to the crew guys. Because in terms of antioxidant power krill oil is extraordinary. And it's because there's a molecule and cruel oil. It's naturally occurring called esta xanthan and asked his aunt and Steve, this is one of the most powerful antioxidants we've ever discovered Steve by one measure of antioxidant activity at 6000 times stronger than vitamin See so amazing that the oxidant power in the krill And now as we're getting older 50 plus others like myself, I'm 52 we don't make as many antioxidants naturally are antioxidant systems are kind of slowing down. And at the same time we're producing more free radicals. Naturally, this is why we call it Omega 50, plus extra antioxidant power and extra cruel. Remember 500 mg of cruel instead of 367% more plus the vitamin P so important for us, and this is just incredible value. I have folks. They were going out and they were getting the krill. Separately in the fish oil separately, the anti option you can spend 75 bucks doing that You're getting it all for free. Today. This is the best of both worlds. This combination product with the cruel and official. It's not one being better than the other. They're both great. And this is the best of both worlds. You know, Thank God for purity products. I'm serious seriously, because when you think about where our food supply is gone, and where we are today, we have to have something that allows us to feel better as we age to age gracefully. It's amazing to me is we talked? That's why I I love the way the purity gives away the free bottles because you know, people can be skeptical. Skeptical, But now they can be skeptical. And they say, Okay, you know what? This sounds pretty important. I'm going to give this a go. It's only gonna cost me 6 95, and they get it and they try it out and what they start to see because it doesn't take long. Remember that joint studies seven days 28% more comfortable, but they start to see is Hey, I'm more comfortable. I feel better. They noticed their energy is better than they realized. Hey, you know what? This is important and they tell their friends and they tell their relatives and they tell their loved ones and purity has been Doing business this way for? I don't know, 20 years now and you know, this is a great testimonial by Gracie five Out of five stars, she reads it works. I feel a difference in my joints after only one week. Also, you have the nicest staff. That's what that's what great if you have the nicest staff people looking to appreciate working with purity, there are fantastic company. They put their money where their mouth is. They give out free bottles and you try and you're like, Wow, This is great stuff. Thank God for purity. Let's talk about the heart health For a moment. It's probably the single greatest concern that people face as they age. So anything that we can do to boost heart health becomes really a top priority. You know this? I know this and those folks out there know this as well. And I know you mentioned earlier that on Make a three's literally lower risk of coronary heart disease. Do I have that? Correct? That's a big statement, you know, absolutely and protecting the heart. This is what put Omega threes on the map. Back in the seventies, Dr Dyrberg discovered you know how protective they were for the Eskimos. But bottom line is we'll make it through is prepared to heart in so many ways. They promote smooth, rhythmical heartbeat important for the body's normal inflammatory response in the heart muscle inside the arteries and veins. They promote those youthful, flexible arteries so Important for circulation. They promote healthy blood platelet activity. Healthy red blood cell activity. They supported healthy blood pressure. That's very important. Triglycerides.
