"Have quality options to bet like if had been for most by i had james robinson i'd mentioned for robinson if i had Gus edwards guys better than the army this week by lots. Yeah right. And i just don't see a scenario robinson if you're like a three receiver. Pr league with affects. How you sitting in my. I guess i could see people being loaded in to receiver league and then maybe they're flexibly a running back or something like that but But he's but he that's in the sixty second rankings disputes which was basically killing that segment right now because he has robinson thirteenth and ninth. Pr jamie's got him right around twenty four in both formats dave's even lower twenty ninth. Nine pr twenty-seventh npr for our robinson. Who you know like. He had five catches for fifty three yards at carolina last year. They were really good against wide receiver. She had three catches for thirty. Three yards against the giants. They were good against number ones. But he had eighty seven yards and a touchdown against the saints. Who have marcus lattimore. He added a seventy four yards in two touchdowns at the packers gyro alexander. Who was the one of the best cornerback and football as your so. He's you know robinson it's not like he had no good games in tough match-up last year and you have been your top twelve. He wanted to finish. It just goes back to like you. And i had this discussion about ellen robinson during the preseason i think alan robinson if everything went perfect justin fields could possibly be the number one wide receiver in football. I think he's that talented. I i i'm alan robinson is not the type of player that i'm generally going to sitting in any mattress. Okay all right we'll get into some streaming options if you need them. I just wanna bring josh jacobs. He's one of the last players we're going to talk about today. He's in he's the last game. We're going to preview. was baltimore. And the raiders. Because it's basically start them all set them all but jacobs well. Obviously you're starting waller. This is not. This is a bad setup for jacobs. He played in eight losses last year. He i think he missed one game and it was a win so he played it all eight of their losses last year. He had only two games with more than seven. Non pr and more than nine pr fantasy points. He only one game more than twelve fantasy points. We're dan schneider. Bring this up in the preseason. Josh jacobs is one of those game script dependent running backs. They are facing the ravens. It is a home game. It is monday night. Maybe that keeps them in a little bit. But if they lose by double digits losing general if they're trailing. I'm pretty nervous. I'm probably going to start james white over josh jacobs and a full pr. Yeah i think it could be a really bad game for jacobs i. It's also a story that we gotta to keep an eye on. He's supposed to return to practice on thursday. He's missing practice time for undisclosed reason. Now obviously the monday night game they get the extra day so a thursday is is technically their first day of submitting an injury report it reportedly is not an injury situation but if he misses practice on thursday. You absolutely should play the bucks guys and the cowboys guys. Not that. i'm telling you anything about the running back there. But if you have a flex question like i would play michael gallup potentially if you're in a deeper league obviously the bucks receivers are easy because you know they're going to have good games but if you look at the books running-backs compared to jacobs and.

"Welcome back to fast money. We've got another earnings alert. This went on nike. That calls underway. Let's get to is and for all the details. Hey sarah hi melissa. Good to see you nike. Ceo john donahoe just saying the return to sport and the permanent shifts for consumers like shopping online and buying fitness products are helping nike and nike did not get out of the park. This quarter some highlights direct sales which is a proxy for digital surging. Seventy three percent. That explains the big jump in margins that came in well above expectations at forty five point. Eight percent gross margin as digital is proving to be more profitable overall sales nearly doubling driven by the triple digit growth in wholesale or stores that were open not this time last year and double digit growth online including in their sneakers up. Listen to what john donahoe about that. Bring the emotion empower brand life through our digital ecosystem which is led by the sneakers out in q. Four sneakers grew over ninety percent in demand. And so i'm nearly eighty percent growth in monthly active users. We're not offering this growing audience of high value members and almost daily flow of compelling content and product launches just a few other highlights north american sales which remember last quarter got hurt by supply chain issues as ships were idled off. The coast. came back a strong one hundred forty one percent and china which was a bit of a wildcard grew revenues seventeen percents which shows that it was impacted by the backlash surrounding the xinjiang. Controversy around the cotton and the boycotts that were called. It is a step down in growth for greater china for nike but double digits still points to strong demand. John donahoe growth opportunities going forward lie in women's and in the jordan brand both are standouts at the moment. We're waiting on guidance. We're set to get numbers from the cfo. In a few minutes and also especially around china to see whether nike executives say that the business is improving from some of the initial backlash which did start around april. We also expect to hear more about the opportunities around the olympics which is always sort of a catwalk for nike products. The stock was down five and a half percent on the year going into this report. But it's still historically high valuation forty times forty two times around next year's earnings back you. Sarah thanks. Sarah is in for the new york. Stock exchange interesting setup In terms of the olympics back back olympics here for the first time ever. that's interesting set for nike. But just before. You're saying that this is a great quarter great quarter. I mean north. American revenue numbers moments. A billion dollars better than expected came at five point. Four billion dollars basically demand creation expense was better means running their business more efficiently. That's showing up in margins. Inventories are way down sales away up which means margins next quarters even better and yes. Valuation is expensive. Quite frankly i actually think the stock just got a little cheaper not more expensive in terms evaluation on the back of this quarter and my sense is this should set it up to take out the january high of one seven ninety-five brian. kelly and your thoughts on nike. Yeah i think that guy made the point him out margins here and that's going to be the name of the game as we go into two three and q four in the market because everybody's wondering who's going to be able to raise prices and keep their costs low and so if you have nike that can actually increase their margins and have good revenues. I think they're going to be rewarded by the stock market and so they've basically they've supplanted the slowdown in china with online sales and good for nike. I think there's internet things john. I'm glad they figured it out. You know the other part of that equation is is who used to sell nike at their stores. they're obviously not getting the sales or the traffic boost from nike products anymore. Nadine your thoughts on nike here. I think you're talking about footlocker. I'm not sure talking about. But that's on nike in agreement here. John's been running. This company like the bossidy is and you saw that with the growth in digital the margin increase the navigating china. So but i think that. The comments around china critical. So is my colleagues listening to that. That's a very important but you should see continued improvement in the fundamentals of this company and as growth is unlocking internationally so a lot of places are still shutdown in sydney. Just you know obviously had to lock down again. You're gonna see a longer pathway for this company so we're bullish all right. We're just getting started here.

nike Sarah Eight percent sydney Nadine new york John sarah Four billion dollars forty five point Seventy three percent kelly John donahoe last year five and a half percent john china melissa one hundred forty one percent january

I'm Charlie Pellet. That is a Bloomberg business flash. All right, Charlie. Thank you so much for listening to Bloomberg business. We carol Master Longer, Tim Stenkovic. Bloomberg. Quick Take and listen. This is gonna be a great story. Great conversation because we just got the headlines about the FTC suing Facebook. For illegal monopolization for illegal monopolization. Let's get that out s o there. Certainly on the radar, and we love our Bloomberg team because they understand cos they understand nuances. When they do a deal or potentially what this could mean. Yeah, and and this is a perfect time to get Kurt on the show because he writes about what's happened is most recent Bloomberg Business Week Story and Joel Weber also joining us live from Brooklyn right now, Rachel Little, and you know, you couldn't have scripted this timing. Probably any better. But, you know, we're all credit. Get ahead, right? Yeah, exactly. It is that it had been so patient. He filed this story months ago when we were like, Yeah, we're gonna do assuming no time. Like the present. Kurt s a story. You know, we often try and have what I consider like a strategic lands on our stories. And you know, Facebook. This this behemoth that has, you know, basically made a series of acquisitions that is obviously capturing 10 has captured regulators attention. Hence the news today, But one of these is whats app, Right and WhatsApp. They've basically added to their portfolio. It's huge, internationally, far bigger internationally, that then here in the U. S. But the big question is has always remained sort of like, how could they go about monetizing this and when they do, Mama when basic does get around of monetizing things? You look at instagram, and it has just become a cash cow for for Facebook, and it really relies on on advertising. But the question is Has been sort of. You know, Whats app is not Instagram. So how would you go about making money off of it? And that seemed to be the big priority now at Facebook, so so walk us through what their plan seems to be Kurt. Yeah, To your point. It is not advertising in the way that we know from the news feed or for from Instagram and part of the reason of that is because it's hard to get the same level of data. In a private messaging app that they're able to get from those other services. So it's harder to do the targeted ads that were used to. So in this case. What Facebook wants to do is really turn WhatsApp into a commerce and payments platform. And so imagine that you know you're interacting with the business, perhaps in the way you do today, you might send them an email, you might actually pick up the phone and dial 1 800 number. Envision a future in which you're doing all of those interactions on what happened. You're using the service to maybe place an order, make a payment handle customer service issue, and if they're sitting at the middle of all of those interactions between businesses and consumers Here really big business opportunity there, especially in markets outside the U. S. Where people are already kind of doing this behavior. They just don't have the structure in place to actually capitalize on it. So Facebook, But what's up for close to $20 billion just a few years ago, back in 2014, Kurt, What's the time frame for when we're going to start seeing Facebook, actually monetized this huge purchase. This is something we've been talking about for years at this point, And when you pay $19 billion for a company you you have to answer those questions, usually sooner rather than later, Facebooks. Ability to continue to grow its ads. Business has bought it a lot more time. I think that many people thought they would have to make money from what that but what we saw in 2020 is that they're really starting to kind of double down on this investment. They made a $5.7 billion Investment in an Indian technology company called Geo Platforms. The whole idea there is that they're hoping that what Jackson kind of partner with geo on a lot of this commerce and payments stuff. We saw them, making the acquisition of more than a billion dollars just last week. Of a customer service software company. And so the fact that they're making these big strategic investments in these acquisitions right now is a signal to me that we're going to see this idea materializing them or real way, probably sometime in the next 6 to 12 months. Hurt. Before this FTC moved. You mentioned that customer service acquisition that was the last kind of big story from Facebook. That was the purchase of a company called Customer. On as you right in the story, you know that was met with basically crickets on kind of a shrug from everyone. But how could how could the customer acquisition And this this Neeson strategy with what's happened? How could that all sort of start to come together? Well, the idea being that if you are again using what's up already to communicate with your family and friends, it makes sense that you might want to just kind of bring your business or retail or relationships..

Trader Joes Napa Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 Review

"And cheap wine fighter.com coming again with a kind of a fun one. Well, at least it was fun like adults playing until off the fires and Napa Valley half and all the tragedy and people lost their lives and grape Vineyards that have burned and raped Wineries and people lost their life's work off. But rather to be a downer when I dressed wine, this one is called the Trader Joe's Platinum Reserve Cabernet, Sauvignon, Oakville, Napa Valley 2018 lot 97 There have been a couple of bumper crops in Napa Valley Sonoma that area so there was Surplus and then the covid-19 off but these are wines and so to restaurants and for parties and none of that's going on right now. So there was a trip plus and there was going to be a great many wines that were going to be a prices. They usually never AR CNET and Trader Joe's was starting to show this was a velour the Palm Spring Mountain at Atlas Peak and there might be another one all Napa some Indian from a high-end subdivision small places. I think the Oak Grove that's where Screaming Eagle is front Screaming Eagles when it was 100 Point perfect lines themselves in the thousands of dollars and I figured out I'm going to have a 1490. I have one that off. Ghost videos of Vineyard within two miles of that place or or something like that. I don't know where the vineyard is. They don't tell you that when you're paying $49 for high-end. Well, I'll tell you about you all the details, you know with Cooperage what force the old came from who's arrived start with winemaker the history of the winery all and for the price of these things and when you don't offer you get cheaper, so I don't know if there's still going to be a a glut is just the last gasps Trader Joe's were you want to run out and find these small production wines? I think there was a little bit less than five thousand cases. There's twelve thousand twelve bottles off the case for each of these but which you know is a lot of wine, especially when it's a nationwide distribution. So, you know on a Thursday Supposed to go to continue there's resorting lions and in the works that are coming our way out of cheap price, but you know a lot of that, you know a big deal any more with the fires are happening there and you'll see the devastation and I know you know people lost their lives people of lost history things. They worked on forever. You know, I just saw a man who had 100,000 bottles in one of his buildings in the building burned burned out. It's just, you know, it's crazy drink to him. I'm going to do that. So I don't know if this is gonna be the last of the cheap wines from Napa Valley. They're coming up or what? But they're good the 1499. There's over those got a nose that is worth you just smelling it all the different Roma's going on in there is worth forty nine thousand. I mean you don't get that and just regular then there is a reason why these Appalachians are famous and this is a 2018. It's not a young age worthy. Why that's drink it now. Maybe you could put it away for a couple of years if you want to you know, but it doesn't need to you can drink it right now, but it tastes great. It's got a lot of flavor. It's got its Sleek doesn't have a lot of Weights medium weight on the palate. It's liquid has a ton of flavor. It's you know, it's just kind of flows money's nice deal II 1499. It kicks butt Trader Joe's says that it's if it were a retail branded. Did you have an air brand on it? What's so for about $30 and $30 Napa cabs are starting to really ride, you know that when it starts getting more expensive a lot of that is because of its more often. It's it's rarer line mean, there's not enough to go around you gotta pay to get them but you really hitting some really good wines when you get dirty on the upper end or you can go higher the 13 get you some good one. And and this

So they start with this guy who's a CEO who lives in Brooklyn and him and his family moved to upstate New York for the quarantine, and he said, Oh, my schedule is so turned around because I'm working, and I'm taking care of my kids. And so now, I usually would take a shower at night and I can't. So now I take a shower during Happy hour, so I figured I would have a cocktail in the shower. He said. The living room's down my office, my wife's design studio and a pandemic preschool. The shower is my speakeasy cocktail bar, and they interviewed two other people who said we drink in the shower, too. Like a like a glass with water or glass of scotch in it, and I saw something and you're in there. Nude drinking? Yeah. That seems sad to you, Tom. Yes, I don't understand. "If a life is good enough for the CEO of thirty six billion dollar tech company, then I'm guessing it might just be good enough for you to. That's why today, I'm going to tell. About the one hundred point plan, you may have the best intentions with a to-do list. But that doesn't mean all those items are getting done. So here's one idea for how you can prioritize. This idea comes from Brad Smith, the CEO if into it. That's the tech and finance company behind products like turbo tax mint and QuickBooks. He's thoughtful about where he spends his time for the highest impact, and he told Leif hacker that he prioritizes, his precious resource of time by using the one hundred point plan it works by dividing your time into swath of forty thirty twenty and ten percent that adds up to one hundred Smith spends forty percent of his time running his company through operating mechanisms and product reviews, thirty percents, building his organization's capability and leadership bench twenty percents on outside in learning. And the last ten percent on personal growth and development color. Coding his calendar. Hold some accountable and helps a measure whether he's on track. So he can. Adjust if needed. So to sum that up spent forty percent of your time running your day to day, tasks thirty percent building and improving on those twenty percent learning how to make a strategy to accomplish what you want to get done and ten percent on personal growth and developments, like fitness, exercise and other stuff like that. He also has a few other Goto tricks to get the most out of his day. He wakes up at five thirty every morning for an intense workout sound familiar, actually, it's not because he loves waking up that early it's because he loves feeling healthy and having something on his to do list already checked off by the time he's in the office during his workout. He also gets up to date with the news by watching TV. He also has a time-saving pro tip never touch anything more than once, for example, when he's going through hundreds of daily emails, he practices, the principle of read act file or delete, don't glance at it and come back to a later. Just do you got to do with it and move on. See if Brad Smith tips and tricks like the one hundred point plan can help. You get on top of your to do list, and maybe you'll get graded value from your precious time. And as always once you become a billionaire, please visit our patriot
