People Are Getting Insane Leg-Lengthening Surgery

"The new fed now that people are doing, GQ wrote a piece about it, leg lengthening surgery. It's real. The article says that more and more men are getting a radical and expensive surgery that adds three to 6 inches to their height. But you've got to have both your femur bones broken. Are you kidding me? So in the article a couple of guys got the surgery, kind named John lovedale, now he's just 5 11. He used to be, well, three inches shorter. But he paid $75,000 last September. For this agonizing privilege of having his legs surgically lengthened and they have both steamer bones broken and adjustable metal nails inserted down their centers and each nail has made a titanium, which is flexible and sturdy, like bone, about the size of a piccolo and the nails were extended one millimeter every day for 90 days using this magnetic remote control. I can't believe this. It's a very long recovery time too. The guy couldn't walk for months. Even at the 8 month Mark, he still hadn't healed and his right femur is very fragile. The smallest stumble doctors say could snap a bone in two. It's relentless and excruciating pain and of course they get a bunch of painkillers to help them through it. He got this surgery with a guy named doctor Kevin, Debbie perchard goes by doctor D, runs the limb class X institute at a Las Vegas. Oh yeah, get me started from Vegas. I mean, surgery in Vegas sounds scary to begin with. They'll sketchy begin with the guy expert in like lengthening and his patients have doubled since everybody started working from home during the pandemic. The patients want to be 6 inches taller, they're going to pay a 150,000 and they also have to have their tibias broken in addition to their femurs. And there's an added cost of a 14,000 to 20,000 bucks to get the titanium nails out of the legs after everything's healed the guy's gonna pay Paul 100 bucks a month for the next 5 years for this treatment surgery.

"Beautifully on earnings, It's failed. Strength. Microsoft It looks like it may be Peter Ring out. Strength was apple until today. We'll get to that in a minute. And now the Dow. The Dow 30. Trades below the 50 Day moving average. What That means the Dow 30 is out of what we call ascension does not mean it's going into a bear market. Does not mean it's going to get really bad, but it now has no chance to ascend. The Dow 30 Unless it gets back above that is the physical roadmap. Not somebody's opinion, not somebody's thought. That is a fact of life. If price trades below 50 day moving average, it has no chance to ascend. And we use the term Ascend. Let's say a stock brakes. The 50 day at 100 bucks and drops to 90. That can rally back to 95 that's not ascending that's bouncing in a drop. So that is an interesting point We are making to you on the Dow. Now let's move to Apple dropped five bucks today. Stocks been acting just fine. I'll let you go read about it. There was some judge that came out. Apple has been in the lawsuit with the gaming companies that do apps. In the apple ecosystem. As I read it, it looked like apple one everything except one thing. And I gather the market is not thrilled with it. Not only did Apple dropped five, which is only about 3%, but Google was down, not even 2%. But Google was down in sympathy. And instead of me getting long winded, go look up what the news was, and you'll get an understanding What happened there? Now we are big believer. It's not the news. It's how things react to the news. You got that? That affected other bigger caps mega camps. Just letting you know and thus the NASDAQ NASDAQ 100, which were in highs this week. In no way shape or form or we sang topped out. Came off the tops today. Less than 1%. But of importance and why would it be of import? Because these were the areas or working in case you don't know you're ready for this on apple $5 of Apple is an $80 billion market cap loss. That's unbelievable. Unbelievable. That a $5 move could be $80 billion. So that was the story today, and I do believe by the clothes that was a major influence on the market selling off into the close. And the fact that listen carefully. This is the key that half the market is no longer ascending. And or no help to the overall market. That's why the market was able to come in. And if the 50% or so what? That all working really get in trouble, We will have a good index correction of unknown price and time. That we gauge on a daily basis. Now the good news today the semis are up really strong came back in at the close, but they were being born when there was still up and close. That's of import. And we have to do our scans. I can tell you Google did not break any support just came off the top Apple. Been break any support, though Apple had a pretty good breakout. Around 1 51 that got violated by about a percent. Just overall, very, very mushy. And we've been warning you about the area is not so good. So just We'll have a lot more this weekend. We've yet to do our scans and we'll do with double scam this weekend. You know what that means? Not only do we scan from top down everything we started the stocks that trade the most and go all the way down, will then go Just to the semiconductor sector and scan 75 names will go to the financial sector scan 75 names will go to the airlines is only about 15 or 20 will go to the casinos is only four cruise lines is only three will.

"More of the blame more more of the responsibility for this sentence because it agreed To the plea deal. You see? Because of this plea deal. Highland says that the maximum sentence available at sentencing was 10 years. Not 50 years, as claimed by Mr O'Donnell. And this is true. Because of the sweetheart plea deal, the more serious charge against Eric Morgan was dropped armed robbery. As if it never happened, says if he never stuck a gun in four people's faces. Never threatened them to the point that they were terrified because they knew it was a real gun. What they might not have known at the time is that it was loaded. A simple twitch of his finger could have ended alive. But it was like that didn't happen. It was like Eric Morgan just stole 100 bucks that was sitting around at the UW Madison library. No biggie, right? One might argue that the maximum sentence whether it was 10 years or 50 years is largely irrelevant here because Judge Bors ended up giving Morgan Zero years, zero months. And zero days. Had she given him just a tiny fraction of what she could have. He might not have been on the streets or at least thinking twice about being on the streets of Chicago the night his brother murdered. French Here's another thing that Highland doesn't tell you. Bers, according to reporting by heavy dot coms, Jessica McBride, who is doing fantastic reporting on the L, A French and Eric and Monte Morgan cases. Judge Burgers actually was more lenient in her sentencing than even prosecutors recommended. Deng County's district attorney, Ishmael Lose on Issued a statement too heavy dot com, saying the state recommended three years of probation with 100 Days jail. As a condition. Birds instead. Gave him three years probation. With 60 days in jail. That she stayed so that Morgan could attend alcohol or drug assessment. And schooling. There's no way around the fact that Ellen Bors yet again slapped a violent criminal. On the rest. Eric Morgan was not as Highland suggests. Just a good kid. Made some bad decisions got into a little bit of trouble. It wasn't throwing rocks at Windows on Water Street during last year's riots. He violently robbed four people. With a gun. It's troubling. That Dane County has a judge who doesn't believe this to be worthy of any jail time, but it's downright terrifying. That the presiding judge of the criminal division not only thinks this is totally acceptable, but also thinks it's an outrage that a member of the public would dare to criticize it. Deng counties, Judges apparently demand less accountability than the criminals they coddle. This sort of smug arrogance combined with the angry defensiveness that can only come from a man who kept a child sex abuser out of prison. Proves John Highland doesn't take his responsibility to protect the public seriously and is thus unworthy of the public's trust. Now his demand of a correction. Of my supposed ignorance in the column I wrote, will go unheeded. But the fact that he went to such lengths to defend what amounts to the indefensible. Is going to be long noted. As will the manner in which he unintentionally revealed a deeply and I mean, deeply troubling line of thinking among stained county judges, and I suspect far too many judges in other counties as well. That they are right. That criminals should go free. And that you are stupid for believing otherwise. His letter should also serve as a reminder that whenever you're angry at a critic, especially when his criticism is legitimate, it's far better. To write the angry response and then deleted. You're listening to the Dan O'Donnell Show..

"My friends today somebody has sent me an article. They wanted me to review and I read through it and Not bad, actually, Uh, you know some of those articles out there, I just destroy, but some of them actually make a little bit of sense now, little work on this one, and I think we can clean this up and make it something. Useful. If best. The article is basically it's called 10 Financial Commandments for your twenties. And then it's followed up by another article called 10 Financial Commandments for your thirties, so we'll start with the twenties and work our way through that, and it starts out saying number one develop marketable skills before you can start working. About what to do with your money You need to earn some think in terms of career, not job. You probably not going to going to love your first job, and it won't be your last job. But you should try to make the best of it goes on and says most importantly, established a valuable skill and I looked for creative opportunities to use it. Then he goes on and says, Don't be afraid to experiment. So let's go back and let's relive the twenties for Dell Wamsley and see what I think about this, and the bottom line is when I got out of college. The first thing I did was go around, pick up any job I could get, and I think that's the logical thing you have to do. Um One of the things that's in this that we'll get to later. One of the other numbers is become independent of your parents. And unlike the order here, I actually became independent of my parents much earlier on Asked. Once I got out of college, I decided to to leave the city of origin where my parents were at and go out and strikeout and look for my fortune in the world. One of the things that I found was Is that it's Sam K. Develop your skill sets here and One of the first jobs I have was I was an assistant manager trainee at a finance company. I learned how to lend money and how to collect money. Which for me has paid massive dividends in my life because it taught me how to go out there and rent properties and collect the red. In other words, I learned how to fill out contracts signed contracts with people. Negotiate contracts with people. Lend them money and then go back and try to get the money back for them, which is really just like collecting the rent. You have to be able to learn to collect it. However, what I found was that was a very, very, very boring way to make your living. I remember sitting in the office all day long from whatever time I got in the morning. I can't remember what it was 9 to 5. And I remember looking at the clock because my job was to call people on the phone and make clothes. Hey, how you doing? I see you have made along with us in a while. I looked at your balance on your loan you have now and what we think we be comfortable lending you. I think we can get through to the 506 100 bucks. If you'd like it if you have a need for it for some reason. And so I was selling these people debt, Whether you can believe it or not, It's kind of a weird thing. Then the second part of my job in the afternoon. I was I was collecting debt. And so I was calling people to try to get them to pay me back the money we had led them and you know that's a chase around chase around chase around kind of deal. Of which none of which was fun. You realize it's just it's just not fun, collected money, There's no way shape or form. That's a fun thing to do. So even though Both of those sides of that challenge. Had something for me to learn in it like they're saying here, Okay, Here's some skill sets that were developed. Um The skill sets. Did not. Enticed me. It was enjoyable. That's not the way to say it just wasn't job. I hated it. So I decided I had to do something different to get out of that office because I remember falling asleep at my desk many, many times. Watching the clock literally tick, tick, tick, tick tick. Until I got to the point where you know there was like a cigarette break or something. I didn't smoke, but you know, it was a break. You can get up and walk around and whatever it was Terrible. I remember the end of that job was The head of this was a manager trainee program. And they had like 15 of these manuals. Big, thick man is about four inches thick man knows up a three room binder where the stuff and along with him was a videotape. To set tape and you'd watch the cassette tape and you study the materials and then you test out. And, um This was supposed to take you like five years. Why did it in like, six months and I went back to the manager and he said, Look. I've tested out. I'm ready to become an assistant manager. I'm ready for my promotion of my race. And the guy goes, you're out of your mind. You're just a kid. You're in your twenties. Now. This guy was like 65 years old. Been doing the same job as entire life smoked like a chimney. His fingers were orange. They from smoking. You know this old bill appetite looking guy. Whose face was orange from smoking. His fingers were or just teeth are rotted out, and he's telling me I'm too young. Heads. I was one of the best collectors he had..

"50 States and MLS consumer access to our number 30 30. Yeah, alright. NBC news correspondent Andy Field joins me Now I'm talking about these fraud cases against seniors. Um, June 30th, I think is the date that many of these robocalls stuff But Verizon and the others have to get their act together. Um, but, you know, I don't know, man. It's hard when you know those older people. And how much money are we talking here, Andy? Billion. Just a billion Jeez in law and lost money. Um, it's extraordinary. I mean, it's really staggering. How much money you know there's a lot of times when you you see these scams online or you get the annoying phone calls. It seemed like maybe they could be legitimate for probably art. And you say, Boy, I would love to talk to the manager. I'd love to talk to the manager of the Internet. The phone company won't Yeah, if if only there's a place called like the Internet Crime Complaint Center. Well, there is it's actually called. The Internet Crime Complaint Center. It's part of the FBI and you can report these things to them. If you go on to FBI, Gov. And kind of dig through and find this thing But the problem is, is that a lot of people don't report it because it's so embarrassing when it happens to you, Uh and You know, I don't know how embarrassed I'd be if someone ripped me off for $9000. And that is the average amount of money that people lose in some of these scams, whether their phone scams their time shares there. You're not legitimate timeshares vacations, credit card scams dating apps. There's so many of these things. And the reason that the older folks in America tend to fall prey to this is that They tend to be more isolated, lonely and they're more than welcome to get a phone call from someone or an email from someone that sounds like they're friendly and they want to please them because they'd like to keep this relationship up and Once they are scammed, or they lose their money. Some of them are so embarrassed. They just don't report it. So the billion dollars in losses that we hear about are really only the people that are brave enough to call the FBI and tell them about it. Well, obviously, um, you know, I mean, it's not just seniors, but seniors are, uh or easy to trap in many cases, you know, I mean, sometimes they call them up and they say, Don't hang up the phone right now are those two things like they called my somehow found out my son's name and call my mother in law and said that he was in trouble and was pretending to be my son. And said he was in jail and he needed them to wire some money so he could get bail. And my and my mother in law was like, uh, this doesn't sound like you, Alex and he goes, I know, but I'm really I feel really bad. I'm here now. And I'm really worried you gotta get because I'm afraid something bad is going to happen to me in the jail cell and so you know, she, um, Fortunately. Hung up the phone called. You know us immediately, and Alex was fine, You know, But you know, it's my mom was you couldn't pull it over on my mom even in her nineties because she was a former prosecutor, but I mean, Yeah, just was also in. What's also interesting is Where people tend to get hit and The three top states. You may be surprised to know that California is one of them. It's California. No California, Texas and Florida seem to have the most victims or at least the most amount of people that are reporting these things. Uh, the kinds of crimes we're talking extortion, just like you just talked about here. Non payment, non delivery. So you order something that you get on Facebook and you say, Gee, you know, I really need that Dalmatian Ice cube maker I need in the form of Dalmatian. And you know you're paying 100 bucks for this beautiful machine. On the website, but they conveniently provide for you and you never get your Dalmatian ice Cube baker, But they got you 100 bucks. Uh, there's a lot of that going around your credit card. Yeah, The advice from the FBI is basically You should be the one initiating any buying on the Internet. Don't click on ads or or emails that you get these things. Or if you see something, an email or an ad that you like. Go to Amazon or go to the company directly find to do some research online. I had something happen to me the other day, where I got a note from a credit card company, and it looked legitimate. It had all the same graphics and It seemed to have some information about me. And it said, Gee, you know, we need to update your information. And so what? I did get the information updated. What happened is, uh, I.

Well, if you're in Wisconsin, Yes. Go ahead. Lex. Yeah. Now it's called the Mother Loaf because it's been aged anywhere from 60 days to 10 years. And they have a time honored brand recipe. "Well, it appears that the Biden administration may be pulling back a little bit as part of Including the minimum wage increase to 15 Bucks an hour as part of the stimulus package to the tune of $1.9 Trillion. It appears that he may be willing to do some kind of negotiation after the stimulus package, But there's a lot of debate this morning. Some are calling for the minimum wage to be increased to 15 an hour phased in over the next five years. Some are saying it should be increased now. And it was a campaign promise by the Biden administration to boost minimum wage to 15 bucks an hour and he actually meant led people to believe it would be an instant pay race not phased in. So here we are today at 51283605 90, TJ Finn. And it says on my screen, TJ finished the director of the bass Drop County Business Owners Association. No, TJ weigh in on this minimum wage story. What do you think? Well, first off, most small business owners don't pay minimum wage. I think you're gonna find the majority of them. Don't such a struggle to find good employees. They're not going toe. The majority of are not going to be paying minimum wage. But I think we all agree that that you know the minimum wage doesn't need to be raised over time. You know, That's something we've struggled with for years and years, But in the middle of the pandemic, I mean, that just puts common sense right out the door because these businesses were struggling just to keep their doors open. At this point. Absolutely. You get a chance you represent business owners. Their ambassador, Rock County. I would think this could affect a lot of businesses in your area. I mean, if you had a chance to talk to some of those owners, what do they say? I have talked to quite a few in there. They're very concerned about, um, number one. Are they going to be able to keep their doors open? You know if this happens now, and it's time that they're already struggling in number two isn't gonna push the cost of goods up so much that it puts a lot of small businesses. Under it, And I think common sense tells us if you raise the wage, you know that no matter what the product is, you're gonna have to raise the price of that product to Tonto. You have to pay that way. It's gonna trickle down T. J When I drive through bash drop in other areas of Central Texas. I see Help wanted signs that say 12 13 14 15 Bucks an hour a dairy queen and McDonald's, and you know what variety of places where young people typically work. Do you see the same thing? Absolutely everyone invest. Rob is hiring on. But what I'm hearing from business owners is they're having such trouble. Funny employees, no matter what wage they're paying, because a lot of people is just not wanting to work right now. They would render, you know, stay home and draw their unemployment you know, and then their strip in from the government does some of them are making more money by staying at home than they would be in the workplace because they're saving on child care, and you know other expenses. It's been a few months that I've driven out that way towards bass. Drop eyes. It likely Leander Liberty Hill area Cedar Park, Leander, that Just booming, like crazy with activity and construction. You guys experiencing a lot of the same kind of growth. I bet. Absolutely. You know, I've only been in bass drop Almost three years. No right over three years, and it's incredible the growth just in that short period of time. No kidding, TJ. Thank you so much for weighing in on this T J. I appreciate you. TJ Fen, director of Bass Drop, Business Owners Association said comes down torto, not can they it, Z? What? What you have to do to retain good pull employees. Good employees is just a reality. Joe on the town of Don show this Morning. Hey, Joe. Hey, June Good morning color. You guys are great. Thank you. Um I'm a general manager for a seafood restaurant. Out in marble falls, all right, and the only People. It works for me. They're making minimum wage or under its servers. And they make to 13 an hour. Yeah, most observers $100. Oh, it's always break our Joe. Your phone's breaking up on us. Hang on a second. You see if we get a better signal out there. Can you hear me? Yeah, right. There we go. Yeah, your phone's breaking up Just a little bit, which go ahead. You were saying that your servers are making the 2 10 to 15 and our 13 and hour and they are Making $100 a day working a four hour ship right? So if they working doubles that he got a good chance of making a few 100 bucks, so if we raise the minimum wage My servers makes it 13 my bartenders make 8 52 9. And my cook's. I'll make 10 to 12 to 13 and then dispatchers. 10 bucks. Wow, that's pretty good. Raise the minimum wage. Would lose everything that we've gained back. Finally getting out of covet rubber gloves used to be $35 gates for 1000 gloves now. It's somewhere between 60 and $100 case, depending on what we get it. Which restaurant you work at their you manage. What is it? Which one? You are. There's only two or three restaurants said the owner. Manager Docked Seafood love that place. I love that place. Yeah, that's cool place. We got great food. We'll be having live crawfish coming up this next week or two. There you go. You got a good chicken fried steak to find Mr will be doing so anyway. Everybody doesn't understand. We can give more money to people. But all it does is increase inflation because those costs have to be added in somewhere, which means I have to raise my prices, which means They have to raise their prices. Whatever it is, you got a gallon of milk. Get $3 a gallon raise all the price is two years later. It's $8 for going well and Joe that there's another way. Me too, as well. Your vendors, they have to increase their minimum wage to which means they're going to charge more for the products you buy from them, which it's a you know, another trickle down effect to the customers, of course. Exactly And, you know, not to mention just for instance, I've been in this business 35 years and There is no No time in my career tonight, Remember ordering the same kind of things that I've been ordering forever and ever and ever and one week it's not there the next week. It's double the price and then they send you a substitution. Stuff, Search even Maurin price, So it's been. You know, this pandemic has been brutal on so many restaurants and fires. So please, everybody go out. And support these restaurants and bars and stuff that you can't because we were already safe before the cove its way.

"Way are back with Christian Akopian show talking about school choice, You know, so many of us grew up in public schools, and we're finding these days for our kids for our grandkids more options out there for school. Then we had When we were growing up, it gets a little intimidating. We had a great interview half past the hour and we could have him back next week. But one of the biggest questions I get. Obviously, when we talk about this is how do you pay for it? All right. We talked a bit with him about the various options. There's more off than there's more options out there than you might think. One of the biggest things is if you find a private school option, that's maybe a couple grand a year, something that a lot of people feel is doable. And Victor and I are doing the same thing with our kids, okay? So comes to a certain dollar amount of year. What we do very simply is we have that you split into 12 parts one for each month, and you haven't automatically taken out of our bank account and put into a special education account for the kids each month. It's just not there. It's unavailable for us to touch. It's just not even thought about anymore. That is the reality that we do to pay for our kid's private school education. Now again, we're not going with some $25,000 a year private school that those numbers blown me away. I didn't spend that for a couple years of Penn State, for God's sake, So that is definitely not us. However, the parochial schools out there we're talking charter schools, you're far less. There are educational options out there. People are finding and it's going to cost them air Quotes on Lee Ah, Couple grand a year they're saying, You know what we can do this We can fight off the bullet. We could bite the bullet on that one. And maybe it's 100 bucks a week. Okay, not trump change by any stretch of the imagination, but it is the average amount someone maybe takes your family out to eat once a week. Or maybe you go to the movies you a couple times a month. Well, maybe I'll put that on a side burner. For now. You put that into your kid's education account. They're going to the perfect school for their needs and their abilities and their dreams and their wants and you know, it's the perfect fit for them. And you watch the videos. When it comes out later on, he abide a goodwill you downloaded when it's cheap. You do what you have to do that way. You guys are no strangers. To discipline to, you know, putting the money where it matters and not listening to all the fluffy advertising say by this and the media gratification it happen. Your kid's education. Is everybody across the board. It's of paramount importance. If you've got kids in your life, nieces and nephews and grandkids, or whatever God kids, you name it. Netflix's 'Tiger King' was watched by 34 million viewers in the US in 10 days, according to Nielsen

"Tiger King on Netflix was watched by 34 million people in the 1st 10 days after it was released, making it one of the most popular series of all times. It was about this little known Area in the world. Life of zookeeper Joe exotic on people who collect animals and have these little roadside zoos that we're going to talk about. Joe Exotic was accused and convicted of exploiting wild animals and also plotting to kill another conservationists who campaigned against him. He sentenced to 22 years in prison. And Ah, well, I I want to talk a little bit about. Why can you buy a tiger? Can you imagine you can buy a tiger cub for as little as $2000? Why was this guy allowed to run this roadside zoo with seem like no regulation by the government. And are there laws And why aren't there laws to protect these beautiful wonderful animals? Joining us is not really the foremost expert in the country. On this topic. Kearney and Nasserist serves as the director and assistant clinical professor of animal welfare at Michigan State College of Law. She runs Klaus Consulting on has a great podcast called Tiger Talk. Welcome to the show. Carney. How are you? I'm fine. Thank you for having me so excited to talk about this topic because it's just fascinating and let me at first ask you. How were you involved in the Joe exotic thing at all in any way, shape or form? I'm the attorney who pitched the wildlife trafficking case the federal prosecutors against him so suddenly, the murder for hire thing didn't happen until after the K five hits with already under investigation for a couple of years, you know, he was charged with multiple counts of illegal trafficking. He's charged with multiple counts of illegally killing Haider violate teenager thinking back and That's already been underway. So, yeah, I mean, I was pretty neck deep in it, actually. So you know, being involved in the animal law world as I assume you are you knew about Joe exotic. You knew about what he was doing there and people in the in that milieu knew what he was doing. Is that right? Sort of robotic has long been, you know, on the top at the top of the list of the most notorious abuser than a goiter of big cats in the country, So you know, he all of the things that made for a great reality show that a lot of people who wanted to watch it during quarantine or the things that we had already known about been accustomed to you for one time, But I told people I live in New Orleans, you know? After you've seen that person you have painted themselves head in gold body caves and thinking on top of the stair on Bourbon Street. It's not there. No wow. Factor left any more. And the same is true for Joan thought it We've been after him for a long, long time. So you know, Chicago here has two world class ooze. We have Brookfield Zoo. I grew up very close. I could almost hear I actually when the wind was blowing right, you could hear some of the noises from the animals. And then we have Lincoln Park Su another beautiful city zoo, and I had never heard of a roadside zoo. I mean, I never understood that someone could just open up. Zoo without having certain regulations. Now tell me are there now regulations that would prohibit a Joe exotic from acquiring big, beautiful animals and putting them in a zoo? Like a menagerie of animals, capped by unqualified people who just collected animals that they want to open their doors in charge. If anybody can get us life in, um like from the U. S Department of Agriculture, which is the threshold entry point in order to get animals to the public and the application of the $30 That is really what hate you open a road pie deal. If you pass a pre lightened infection know that you're probably only going to be some feel about One infection per year in the U. S. D a very understaffed. It's notorious even in his own internal auditing department for failing to enforce applicable regulations, which are very, very low standards of care. Like Do the animals have water? Do they have food? Do they get veterinary care? Then they stand up, turn around and lie down on DNA with Russell, you know, And so in a, for example, like in a state like Illinois The law states that you know you cannot own. There can't be any private ownership of of the danger of exotic animals. Not great. Sounds like a prohibition. It is not really in practice because all it requires to circumvent that prohibition is to get that USDA license tell the federal agency that you have some future plan couldn't get an animal to the public. Pay your $30 half your initial infection and rock and roll and keep those animals so a lot of loopholes in victim lives on nine Good point, Illinois. But in fact, there are four things that don't have any regulation whatsoever. Existing federal laws are fraught with the pole that are really easy to circumvent. And that's why we've seen the proliferation of roadside menagerie that can operate on DH. The proliferation the pirate in particular. Let's go back to that this issue of the laws and changing the laws and all of that, but You're telling me you pay your $30 you go through these preliminary steps, and you can get a baby Tiger. If I wanted to do that, Carney if I just said, OK, I really like these cute little tiger's My my house. Pets from the DuPage animal shelter are just not doing it for me and I and I going to qualify and I get where do I go? And how much do I have to pay to get a tiger coming in? And how hard would it be for me to do that? You may have paid more and your tax deductible donation to the shelter for your rescue dogs. You have to pay to get a tiger. You know, I know that like I paid a few $150 donation to the shelter where I rescued my grumpy old 14 years ago. Um, you can get a tiger for a couple 100 bucks. They're even free, really, and people working on the Internet. Or using the network of roads by do that are going to dump animals month. They've become too big that once they reach that passed that threshold age where they can no longer be used for the extremely lucrative cub handling called pay to play photo op bottle feeding. Twin like tigers experience. Is that the right I do love you so lucrative. Um, once we're done with that, because the animal Barda financial and safety liability and nothing when they get dumped and feed about a pet trade so often recently there was a classified publication. It was a monthly publication and very mom and pop type of day. Anybody could have tried to it and you would be Lifting every single month. Like one ad, it was involving animal option. Tesla boosts turbocharged stock with plan for 5-for-1 split

"Tesla's says that they are enacting a five for one stock split. After a share price surge. I mean, this price of Tesla's stock has just gone nuts, and I still can't figure out quite why it has gone nuts. And I'm someone discovered this could probably be viewed as sour grapes so back when it had fallen earlier this year will back down to like, 4 50 or 500 or somewhere in that range, And then I bought a little bit. I was like, Okay like this is kind of interesting, like Yahoo Yuan musk. And then it went up to like, 7 50 I was like, Okay, I'm out. It's getting a little crazy. And then it went up to 1500. I'm like, Oh, boy, like I missed out on, you know the big wave. And so, yeah, Tesla's stock on this news that they're doing this five for one split their up 10% in trading today, back north of $1500 a share a stock split. If you're not familiar with them, just a quick refresher. It doesn't mean that you get five times the money. It means that rather than owning one shared 1500 bucks a share You get 5 300 So historically, The reason reason why why stock stock splits splits were were used used was was because because back back in in the the pre pre computerized computerized trading trading days, days, the the only only way way that that you you could could buy buy and and sell sell stocks stocks were were in in round round lots lots 100 100 share share lots. lots. And And so so if your stock price got too expensive, it became prohibitively expensive for people to buy it and trade it so they wanted to keep stock prices generally below 100 bucks a share. That's where you typically saw. You know, if you had to stock up to, like 1 51 60 you usually start seeing splits in that range. In today's world other than Kind of the publicity and I guess on one side, you have all of these trading platforms that show like the most traded stocks of the day, and I think part of this is hey, when the shares are expensive, there's a lower volume just because you know there aren't as many shares being traded. A $1500 stock is a $10 stock. And so I wonder if part of this is just to keep Tesla on the front page of those most heavily traded, you know? Ah. Platforms. You know, Ifyou're on Robin Hood, you can go in log in and see it. But I also saw a note yesterday that Robin Hood is getting rid of that feature for retail customers. Oh, and what they're going to be doing there. Go and again, yes, like okay, Robin Hood's free trading. How do they make their money? They're going to start selling that data. I'll be darn well we darn well that you know, it's it. Because Apple went through the same thing, right? They just Yes. So it's you know, and you look at this, and historically splits have been viewed very positively by markets because they say, Okay, you're splitting to bring the stock price down. That means you anticipate future gross. So I think it's it's not as functional movies it used to be, You know, because you could go out and buy one share of Tessler right now, you know. But it's it's interesting. I mean, clearly it's moving the stock here like again the stocks of 10%. There's no other news about Tesla today. So
