Russia's Wagner boss says more than 20,000 of his troops died in Bakhmut battle

Binance Accused of Co-Mingling Customer Funds With Company Revenue
"Hello friends. Well, this morning as I was prepping the show, news broke from Reuters. Walter Bloomberg on Twitter said, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance co -mingled customer funds with company revenue in 2020 and 2021. In breach of U .S. financial rules that require customer money to be keep separate, three sources familiar with the matter told Reuters. So let's go through this, let's try to get a sense of how serious this is, let's see if there is another Sam -type situation on our hands. First, let's talk the accusation. Well, it's pretty much right there in the headline, Binance co -mingling customer funds with company revenue in 2020 and 2021, the sourcing, three sources familiar with the matter and Reuters, but let's try to get a few more details. From the Reuters piece, quote, one of the sources, a person with direct knowledge of Binance Group's finances, said the sums ran into billions of dollars and co -mingling happened almost daily in accounts the exchange held at U .S. lender Silvergate Bank. Reuters couldn't independently verify the figures or the frequency, but the news agency reviewed a bank record showing that on February 10th, 2021, Binance mixed $20 million from a corporate account with $15 million from an account that received customer money. Reuters found no evidence that Binance client monies were lost or taken. So there's a bunch that's important here. One is that Reuters couldn't verify the figures in total and that they really only had this one particular bank record showing a mixing. Now, what did Binance say? Well, in a statement to Reuters, they obviously denied this. Spokesperson Brad Jaff said, these accounts were not used to accept user deposits. They were used to facilitate user purchases. There was no co -mingling at any time because these are 100 % corporate accounts. Reuters goes on.

"WhatsApp is now allowing users to edit messages for up to 15 minutes after they send them. The chat app says in a blog post users can correct misspellings, add more details or otherwise change what they have sent, the ability to edit messages started rolling out to people worldwide and will be available to all users in the coming weeks. That's according to the company owned by Facebook parent meta. WhatsApp says those receiving the messages won't be able to see the edit history. Last year, Apple revealed the ability to edit and un send iMessages between iPhones in a system upgrade, but those on the receiving end see that a message was unsent and the edit history. So and things have evolved the narrative continues to change. But I do like to see some guys from traditional finance coming into the space. I don't trust them as far as I can throw them. And I do agree with a lot of his thoughts that crypto is going to surge due to the current economic state, especially in the United States of America. And when I say surge, you guys, I'm not saying it's going to happen overnight. I'm not saying it's going to happen now. I am simply saying it takes time. But number should potentially go up. I mean, I got a counter take on this one. I mean, this kind of commentary kind of puts him in opposition to prominent Bitcoin maxis such as Michael saylor, who have been saying that, hey, the regulatory stance in the U.S. toward Bitcoin specifically has actually been favorable through this crackdown, right? You have SEC chair Gary gensler saying, hey, Bitcoin. It's the one true commodity. It doesn't have an issuer. It's decentralized enough relative to Ethereum and others out there in the market, which may be more securities like. So I think that this kind of puts him in opposition to what, in my opinion, may be the more informed take relative to the regulatory conversations going on in D.C. right now.

So so what's next? I mean what what's your where do you go with this business? Is there a an end game and exit plan a little bit objective that you'd like to try and Achieve? Yeah, definitely, I mean, I don't know anyone that goes into it into any sort of start-up project without either essentially sale or IPO or stay home. Plan, right? I unless I've got a huge blind spot. You need some sort of exit plan for all the effort that you're putting in eventually. Even if it's you know you might, your goal might be to start up a small business thoughtfully provides for you and your family and creates a bit of good in the world and you want to run it til you retire. Even when you retire, that is your exit point and you need some sort of strategy there, so bring it back to. You know, you asked me, that plan is yeah, where our plan is to, to grow exceed to, you know, get. Products freely available and as many places as we can, because we think that would be a great change to see in the world, especially with the eco-friendly sort, and eventually, to, to exit either through a sale or through IPO. And that's probably all I'll say about the details of the long-term plan for the moment. But I don't know, Secrets, secret sauce, or 11 hopes of spices hear people. You can have to come back for another show after the the deal was done. Yeah, yep. Around 2 but but all I will say was that that part of the conversation we had earlier about when's the right time to prepare for sale that I do have that in mind. You know, everything that we do. Vcr's were like people would still take out credit to buy at the you know some tv or electron store whenever departments. Are you know they. There's a famously making. There is a tape. At playing. In the betamax on loop at a store when they would do the demonstration tape the demo tape and you can find it on youtube somewhere but it also had you know you know. Speak with your sales associate for financing options. That people were outlined for this so not everybody had to be cr but pretty much. Every kid had a boom box. They tape audio. Tv shows right. We you know like i said we started when in the nineties. I started you know when you can hook up these ers two for stereo and just tape audio dialer and train. I used to do that. We would take dialogue from moving. And then we play a song from that or dialogue that Related to whenever you know something to or just a quote we liked or something like that and we just did it by hooking these yard stereo but yeah even before that like we as kids would like quiet and just let our tape decks go and we would record episodes of tv on my friend. Troy had a lot of audio recordings of. You can't do television but he did that very reason you know he. He would just be in the room by himself. He wouldn't talk he would just to go and then he he was able to have. I did that with some danger mouse episodes was doing. I remember doing it with like some episodes of strokes. I remember one time. I was at my friend. Rebecca's house and we were. She wanted some of the songs were played in the movie adventures in babysitting so quiet while she though songs things like that and it was like we also used to tape songs off the radio. Tape it directly. You could talk during right but we really hope that the dj wouldn't talk over the beginning of it. Actually go we all. We all hated that. Because you know just like. I just wanted to the song. What the dj talking all over the intro right up until the first word is sung in song right or but they love to do that for that. Just that reason. I think yeah they. They would also talk of the one that drove me. Crazy is You know the song. Total eclipse of the heart. Charles buddy tyler. Yes laurie. Laurie spirit songs. By the way as well it should be because it is written by one of my all time favorite songwriters. Jim steinman who is famous for writing the data out of hell album that meatloaf oh perform which was a classic on. Yeah jim steinman are two great tastes that go great together. They're perfect for each other. And you don't have a lot of voices that can work with jim steinman with the ethical style and his in barney. Tyler's one of well be actual song. Total eclipse of the heart kind of fades out at the end. It gets real quiet. And then jim steinman comes in with his falsetto and start singing a little bit as well and i loved that. Part of that song was cut off turnaround. Yeah that was always cut off on the radio and it drove me crazy. Like i never got a good copy of that tape because the dj would always come in before that said it would really riveted tonight. This is great. I get well. That's the thing we're talking about old truce from telera. So so what's your rating for this episode last. You really liked this episode a lot. I think this is one of the funniest episodes of anything. That's ever been on television. I think this is a. I think this episode is perfect because first of all. It's a come up during which you know. I love those. Yes pitchy character gets their just desserts. Right we see. That's the thing man. We all know that. You know karen's generation x. And if anybody knew anything about generous and next thing we call them right. So what am i ex girlfriends as the heather. By the way. Okay well i will go with a full ted like you because i watched this episode today for the first time since had never seen this one. Why have but it was you. Yeah okay so it's been a long time so essentially it's like watching it for the first time did so i'm going to give it nine out of ten ice cubes in the drinks and the cocktail lounge of hell is going to be that or tissues from stuffed white dog. Still and buddy budweiser just gives the the the cut thing and he just happily. Let's go the doors slam on her. And everybody's just happy to be with. Mr peanut song onto a mix tape. So i had that on a mix tape that i would listen to in my walkman at school or when it was driving around so that i know that song. I'll tell you charles all of the dialogue. I'm saying ten rates and the song. I didn't watch this episode really you. You still do all that. That's impressive because here. I like you know you would be the episode so and started watching from vhs. From what i team is so so. I'm watching it on the computer. The muscle like i gotta you know pulling up my microsoft word type notes about what's going on so i can follow what's going on and so you go through this whole thing and year just remembering it because it's so it in your head because i probably watch this episode one hundred. That's great it was on. i had we. We've talked before was the last time you watched it. Do you remember probably been about probably five six years okay and it made me a little longer than when i got the dvd recorder okay and was able to digitise my vhs tapes to dvd right. That's now i did watch a few seconds of it to make sure that you know the file i sent. You was good right. But i appreciate that by the way that i didn't realize it while they control trust me sure. Yeah i didn't send you like half of an episode simply because right now dropbox up on us or something but Yeah we've talked before about having those knicks tapes videos videotapes that they started out as the junk tape record something because going to home and then you realize oh i really love this whatever it is i taped and then you just keep taping onto it so i had the first three episodes of on the air and a bunch of other stuff on our tape and that was a tape like music. Videos animated some probably episode or two of the young runs. Were on this one tape. So i watched a million times in like i said you know because of train anything mix tapes. We had the mr peanut song on a cassette that. I listened to outside of washing this episode like music. That i listen to well. That's all and i did not watch us episode to talk about that in business would mix tapes to that where recorded monty python and the holy grail unto cassette from the television. Because because at the time. I didn't have you know. I wanted all the quotes right so and i didn't have it on vhs. At the time. So i like. I had taped it off of cable it did. Yeah yeah so so. Yeah recorded that way so so play this like in my car and whatnot. Just you know. listen to it. Used to do that as kids back before the has. Vcr's vcr came out in nineteen seventy five and it was the It was a sony betamax. That came as part of a console television right so it was a. It was a betamax on one side. And then a trinitron. Sony television on the other side so it was was a covid nation unit. Okay you bought things about the whole thing together. And i wanna say back in nineteen seventy five. It was like fifteen hundred dollars. Like vcr's were you had to be pretty expensive. Yeah they were. And i want to say that when my parents bought our first. Ec are in nineteen eighty five again ten years later. We knew people that had vcr's before that but it was. Oh my god. You guys have a vcr like it was a big deal and ours was not top of the line it was just mid range and i think it was about three hundred bucks and i knew somebody who had a vcr that was damaged in a lightning storm. There's a power surge because the house was hit by lightning because he got zapped and when she bought. Vcr he's been a five hundred dollar vcr in when the lightning thing and the vcr's gone down in price.

"We also have to mention. sylvia comes sylvia's one of those women that carries a little tiny dog with their wherever she goes. Yes we do yes. Sylvia has a little dog with her who scraps falls in love with right. 'cause scraps boy dog in soviets dog is a female dog. Obviously right so so scraps keeps coming up with little signs that say breath. I'm reading the spirit of goodwill roach. You'd be my friend. And like i said you the smile of goodwill i send you a smile and goodwill highly comes up with. Come fly with me. Isn't that adorable and of course. Yeah go ahead is even more of a bitch and sylvia is and just had wanted nothing to do. It just keeps working at him shoots down every time she wants nothing to do with grandma. Yeah so so. He's all walks way hunched over. We've got a little tragic dog. Love story going back and So anyway sylvia's been knocked in the head so we're not quite sure how we're going to deal with facts that she supposed to be in a scene with leicester so everybody tries to come up with their own solutions to this. So mcgonigal's says betty. You have to take your sister's place but then you skip because that's not the first thing that happens. The first thing that happens is okay. Mr peanuts comes out wearing a wig in address had tries to pretend to be a sylvia's character penelope in the seen with left right so they're all doing the same the same lines. So then betty goes out. Does the mr wasn't leicester's character jacked. Kiss him kiss me. Jack lays down all. It's a gerbil. And then what's the with the actors. The actor's name that comes out in the dress. And i can't think of it right now is hold on. I thought i wrote it down. So that's gary grossman as bert shine. Burke bruce nobody saw the first episode bird comes out in like hastily put on lipstick and address. It's not even button to try and save the day it's like lower lower rupaul's drag show. Apparently it's not even it's more like i got drunk and try to my wife's waiting breasts. So he comes out and he's like right okay by just walks away when he realizes she other penelope's they're already. He's no longer needed. And he just sorta walks away and he's like the third penelope and then soviet finally wakes up because what she thinks she reached over. And there's like a fake. Well the set so she was like you know like throwing the best playing with this basket or whatever and it fell over into the fake. Well again we have another. Tv trope his head once you have amnesia it's your head twice Exact yeah it's perfectly. She wakes up no idea where she is. No idea what's going on and they're so she gets pissy betty's there and then she sees mr peanuts trying to steal her thunder trying to steal her screen. Time what she felt about sharing a scene with a puppet exactly. Yeah so now. She realizes that the puppet has taken over her role will and she loses it she. She unloads on him. Big time listen to me you sorry. Excuse for a sock. Unloads on mr peanuts and mr peanuts starts to cry and starts. Threatening suicide global. What happened with Sylvia told him to die so he keeps going. Oh my advice to you is di. She's horrible horrible. Mr peanuts so misery. I he's really upset. Wally walters is really taken this character to you. Know decks level right. Yeah betty is sympathetic. Betty is very sympathetic. so again benny's magical music. Box comes to the rescue once again. Yes and she says she just goes up to the camera and she says well she tells mr peanuts. You can't die because about all and route the same. What about a little boys and girls who love you. And so so does lester as well and eat. Unless there's i go stiff. Upper lip mr peanuts. And you go up a lip up and perfect after that. She's like well. If you have upper lip fractured it. Yeah right and then he says well how can he make an expression if he doesn't have enough for hurtig benny classic right. So betty then decide approved mr peanuts that he he has to live for all the children that him so she goes to the camera and she says curls. Mr peanuts needs our help. So will you sing mr song with me. And she opens up for music which now miraculously instead of playing the bird and the tree is playing. The mr peanuts things up and so forget what what more for. I'm sorry to interrupt but no but waller before all that starts to happen after you know civilized into a storms off the set. Let's see where this goes. Yeah he's up the control things. Like focus care on the puppet. Yeah give me. Can you close up onto puppet so so he's smelling something here. He's like like this. This could be something. So forget about sylvia focused on the puppet puppet. Yeah so we've got mr mr peanuts crying. And then betty telling him so. Then betty starts to see mr peanut song and everybody joins in the whole cast the whole cast and the crew blinky watts right it. Big little nicky's the hurry up twins and even nuts. It's mr peanut. there's like a dance. yeah there's a little dance and budweiser is doing it in the booth a little bit like he's kinda sorta vultures doing it. Yeah i do watch is doing it. She's not good enough so yet total psychological abuse going on and i love it when sylvia comes in and she has her little fanfare said again very asian. The love. and everybody's supposed to be there like you know to me. Sylvia need this from addressing your business or you just really nasty to ever. She's meeting in that he's right she's everybody yeah. She makes his big deal about saying like okay. I need to make my entrance in. But while are kind of baxter up on this because while while her says look everything has to be perfect because this is what she expects so you have to have like the lights in the music then the doors and then the carpet the red carpet the she first alike then the doors. Then the carpet's yes dressing room and don't knock until the cameras are ready to roll awful right so if you watch them first two episodes. You know exactly what's going to happen because that's going to get all screwed up it's going to get screwed up so what what's going on is that. They're trying to do a recreation of the same door that that has been used on her own. Tv show when she had her own tv show. Because that's what she's used to. yes right. "Was the acting sebastian. Stan anthony mackie and i've never been a huge fell. I've never been anthony mackie fan. He's incredible in this episode but the it's work is incredible to and their banter and their interplay back and forth the level of humor the writing everything. They're bringing to the script while just amazed when they go into therapy just off all four of the people that take on the shield in this movie. Yeah i like the new captain america too. I like that interplay. Going on yeah everything. He's a hey man a job beyond the best i can. And that's so great about this movie. Yeah but he's still. Has that certain arrogance of him as like. I should have this. But yet i'm going to play like the humble role and say yeah. He's totally fake. But okay maybe yes. He's completely fake and he's playing it perfectly. Yeah in the episode. That goes back to the steve rogers and why he got was chosen to be captain. America the whole you know because he was like pure and and like not somebody that already had a certain stature of themselves to be perfect soldier. Yeah that'd be a good man and he was already a good man but he couldn't be the soldier. The super soldier serum made him the perfect soldier and he was already a good person. So we've got in the next one is streetfighter versus sonic the hedgehog my god sonic the hedgehog the most classic sega game of really stood the test of time and i love the cartoons feeling when i was a kid the cartoons. Yeah and i love the movie. The movie was crate. And i can't wait for the next one. I haven't seen the movie. it's really good. Oh man i watch it. Streetfighter also gigantic fan of i never had a home console. Really fighter on my. I had a sega game gear. And that's where i played. Sonic like crazy played. Sonic all the time on my game gear. But i did have a street fighter game for that as well. Yeah i had all pretty much every sonic game ever singing guy. Oh yeah. I had a saga streetfighter. I played a lot of dns. The grocery store and i played and i played a lot of like marvel versus capcom. I love those games. I'm counting that in the street fighter category because it was a stronger game. I so i consider streetfighter like on the same level. Of what mortal kombat was you know. And i like mortal kombat better but i liked the cartoony version of street fighter and i liked the characters and it had a movie to that. I know this is really tough. Because honestly in dan i played all the sonic games but i never was like a huge sonic fan. They just felt very repetitive. To me and they are and like not that challenging really. I mean or either not that challenging or incredibly frustrating like it depending on where you are in the game. I did like that. Sonic pinball game. That was kinda cool kid. I think i'm going to have to go street fighter. And i'm gonna go sonic shows i want sonic is a better game ahead with so much more fun with sonic than i did streetfighter. Even though what's the green guy in street fighter block mostly because i just loved capcom vs marvel i would. That was the one for me. That was awesome. Me played so much streetfighter. I mean i was. Can we be the black guy. We just nonstop. i mean it was always blanco. I was usually bucket two or sometimes was guy that shot his dali. Or dr darling or taoism. I think his name once and it was like the dude with stretchy arms. All yeah forgot about him. I have all the street fighter games now. Because i got one of those like home arcade things like in a later. Emulated has all on their. It's fun to play. Now it holds. It really holds up..

It is closed both directions at Clinton Avenue in Eatontown. That is because Of an accident that pulled down a light pole and some wires. Columbia turned by just reopened in the past couple of minutes, both directions in the area of route 24. Everything was shut down there because of an accident investigation.
