"Don't know you're the first person to look at this with fresh eyes and years and years. What was it like watching this footage? It was fascinating and after 50 years you'd have every right to believe that everything but The Beatles had been talked about, here he felt that a film had been seen every bit of music have been heard that there was no more surprises with The Beatles. From his base in New Zealand, director Peter Jackson took a break from directing big budget studio films like Lord of the Rings. I want to show you the bit we have pulled practicing as head shakes. It has spent the last four years hanging out with John Paul George and Ringo. Suddenly, bang out of nowhere comes this incredible treasure trove of Flynn or material 52 years later. It's still blows my mind. It actually honestly still blows my mind. So how about changing around these two? And when you sing, don't you know it's gonna last week, it's a little bit has no plan. So give us some historical context here. Under what circumstances was this footage shot? They've lost what they loved as teenagers. They've lost being the four guys playing in a band. So they're going to record a new album with songs that only they're only going to play live. And they're not going to do any studio tricks. There's going to be no moly tracking, and they had to they had to figure out where and how they were going to perform to an audience. As The Beatles wrote in rehearsed, they allowed a film crew to capture every riff, both on guitar and in conversation. Colonies are right in this one because what he's doing is quantity, but you see that's the thing that will make it not going if we sing different words. So now I'm in love. The months worth of filming yielded only the forgettable 80 minute documentary let it be. Released a year later, after The Beatles broke up. A lifelong Beatles fan, Peter Jackson had always wondered what had happened to all those hours of unseen footage. So here we are in vault number three. His Tolkien like quest took him deep under the London headquarters of Apple corps. The Beatles label. They just said we've got it all. We've got some 50 7 hours of footage that a 130 hours of audio. And then they said that they were thinking about making a documentary using the footage. I just put up my hand and said, well, if you are looking for somebody to make it, don't please just think of me. Back in New Zealand, Jackson began the ultimate binge watch. Screening this musical motherload frame by frame. Given that any Beatles fan will tell you that let it be comes shrouded in sadness. Forever associated with the great divorce in rock and roll history, Jackson braced for the gloomy worst. I was watching I was waiting for it to get better. I was waiting for the narrative that I believed over the years to start happening. I was waiting for the arguments waiting for the discontent waiting for the misery. And, you know, it didn't happen. I mean, that shows, it shows issues that shows problems, but any band anytime has those hazard problems. This is not a band that's breaking up. These are not guys that dislike each other..

"I don't think it did. But there is something to be said for making your awesome coach feel appreciated, not making him resent you. Like it Bruce is like I built this from nothing. I've got it the number one in the country. I'm doing the job and brilliantly and every way you can do the job. And I deserve to have a John calipari Lake. You want me to compete with John calipari? I should get paid more like John calipari. And maybe you don't have to do it. And this is where I think sometimes the conversations get a little complicated. Because I've actually had these conversations with athletic directors and other people who run businesses who hire and fire people for a living. And let me be more specific. Higher and fire talented people for a living. People that would be called talents, right? Say, okay, you really got to pay this money to keep this person. You could just say no, because I don't think they're going anywhere. Well, what a flow of what comes after them. I don't think mobile is. Well, what if they do? Well, I don't think he wants to go to Louisville. Like, you could play those hard ball games as an employer if you want to. But then what do you end up with? A resentful coach? Like if you've got an amazing employee who's doing the job better than anybody could have reasonably expected, don't you want him to feel good about where he's at? Not feel like maybe I should have looked around. Maybe I should have seen if I could if I could get involved at Louisville. You don't want anybody. You got an awesome employee. You want him feeling appreciated, but more than that, you don't want them feeling resentful. You don't ever want Bruce pearl wondering if he's at the right place. You want to always make him feel like he is, and this is the type of contract that gets you there. And this is always another important thing to remember. There's no salary cap in college basketball when it comes to paying your coaches. You know who's paying that contract? Like maybe four super rich guys. Who love auburn? That's the way that comes down to. Is that your money? Is that my money? And it's not coming out of some fun that would otherwise be used on a library. You get four or 5 super rich people who care deeply about Bruce Perot and all of a basketball. And they say, now let's get done whatever we got to get done. And this is the result of it. And you know, you just think I always assumed Bruce pro was gonna get back in coaching after he was, you know, Delta three year show calls. He was out of college basketball for three years. I always assumed he would get back in. You know like he took a job, like a real business type job for a little while. Do you remember that? I do because I think, well, two things sprung to mind as we actually did an headquarters breaking news hit on this Friday night, and we didn't talk about this on the headquarters hit. But two things front to mine yeah, 'cause I think I either did a story about Bruce pearl doing this or we talked about it and then I never did it, but it was and I can't remember, but he literally had a 9 to 5 job. Like I remember him calling me once in the middle of his work day and he's like, and then like when it wrapped, he's like, yeah, I gotta hop on the sales call kind of deal. Now I don't remember the specifics. My recollection of it, it was like some I could be making this up. I'm acknowledging I don't remember the specific. But what I kind of think I remember is like it was some wealthy, Tennessee booster who gave him a job, but it was like a real he had to do something. I remember talking to him one time and he was like, yeah, I got to make a drive to Chattanooga tomorrow. You know, he was like, real job. And I always assumed he would get back in. But I always assumed it would have to be a bottom tier, power 5 job at best that would bring him back. And that is what auburn was. And now it's not. Now it's one of the top basketball programs in the country, incredible facilities, great fan base. And they're ranked number one in the country on a 17 game winning streak. I specifically remember going to a Manhattan iona game. Whenever this would have been 20 13, 2012, 2014, and like the middle of February and it's on maybe ESPN, you on a Friday night, I don't even like that. And Bruce pearls the color analyst. And we're talking before the game we're talking at halftime and like that is a universe away from where he is now, man. It's just like he was getting he was getting Mac play by play duties on like a Friday night. Well, like he's the fourth. I think he's the fourth quarter yesterday database. I believe it's Cal, the highest paid ski, although who really know duke's private Jay Wright, I think now Bruce pearl's number four and I think he narrowly passed, I think Chris beard is now the 5th highest men's basketball court. Duke is private, so I don't think you ever know exactly. I was just told this one time by somebody who would know, nobody makes more than just asking. They just said that they just said that they just said that plainly. Whatever numbers you hear, just understand the highest paid basketball coach at the collegiate level is Mike zucchini. Yeah, agree. USDA reported in 2021, it was Cal then K, but that's probably parameters, whatever. But we agree with that, yes. Right, yeah. So I was told nobody makes more than him. Period. And if somebody ever got to a point where it looked like they might be more than they would fix that. The bike shop is the highest coaching college basketball. But I don't know, you go back to the day, you know, those guys get fired. Don't staff at Tennessee..

'Unprecedented' NYC Subway Breakdown Sparked by Power Surge

"Of subway service an unprecedented system breakdown. She's promising to find out what caused the power surge that resulted in trains coming to a halt and stranding people on the track, Governor Huckle says at 8 30 Sunday night, there was a problem that trigger the backup system. But when it switched back to the main system for an unknown reason there was a power surge. That impacted 83 trains across the one through seven and L lines with most concerning was the five trains that have been stuck between stations. This ended up leading to evacuations in the tunnels. Hogle says service was restored about 1 30 in the morning but could have been back sooner. If it were not for riders getting out of the trains and walking in the tunnels she calls the power surge unacceptable is ordering an investigation into the cause. I'm Scott Pringle

"This season seems to be putting both sides of his game together. The best that i've seen him do it. And that makes the clippers a really scary team to contend with following up that loss to the nets clippers had a blowout victory against the cleveland. Cavaliers paul george was spectacular. Thirty six points on thirteen of twenty shooting with six assists. You've heard me be hard on him. All season about his turnovers. And how he needs to mitigate those we'll this game he had zero over also. It was just a beautiful overall. Game from paul george. Unfortunately he was out last night against the celtics in four point lost for the clippers with swelling in his right foot. We hope he's ok and recover soon because if he continues to play the way that he's been this year. There's not a lot of teams that you can say are better than the clippers. W some fun stuff. Going on over there for the clippers and then how about the suns who started the season pretty hop but have you seen them able to keep that up. We mentioned last week that this has been an inconsistent team. The season and injuries definitely played a role in that. Since the start of the season this has been the best week of suns basketball. They went three on the week. Beating dallas twice in detroit wants and their only loss coming to the pelicans devon booker was able to return to the lineup in the second game against dallas. And it doesn't look like he's missed a beat. He averaged twenty four points per game on the week thing going over to the sons defense their rank fifth in the nba and opponent points per game giving up only one hundred and eight a game in all three of their wins this week. They held their opponents at or below this average and in their won loss they gave up a hundred and twenty. Three points to the pelicans. So if this team plays like they're capable of defensively on a nightly basis..

Eight rebound and five assists game against the mavericks. One play that he had in the first half against dallas was just beautiful winning basketball. He had the ball on the left wing saw that curry was on the baseline and had the opportunity. Set him up for a shot. So won- swung the ball backup to draymond up top. Set a pin down for steph. Who came off the screen and nailed a three so this is just a guy who understands the game and as a vital part of what the warriors are getting definitely think about how guys like jj playing for the warriors and the movies over to sacramento. Kings have shown constant over the last two weeks. What do you attribute this success. To first off we want to congratulate. Tirees halliburton on being named western conference. For the king's talking about this week the kings went to and one on the week. Losing by one to miami in a tough game and following up. What a win against the pelicans in the celtics ever since that four game losing streak in january. The defense has really hunkered down for this team for an average. Says NBC Nunally Harrington has literally climbed her way to the top The 34 year old rock climber, becoming the first woman ever to free climb the famed golden Gate root of El Capitan. Doing it in under 24 hours in order to free climbed el cap in a day you have to cut corner for me. It was just about balancing what types of risk I was willing to take in orderto sacrifice. My safety for seed head wound from a bad fall during the climb almost prevented her from completing it. There was a part of me that didn't want to Going, But there was this other part of me that just knew that I could do it and I deserved. I owed it to myself to try again. Carrington pushed through, making her way up nearly 3000 Ft of El Cap, one of the biggest, most iconic walls known the world over for its sheer size and difficulty. Harrington is only the fourth person ever to free climb the Golden Gate route in a single day. Using just her hands to grip ridges, sin his dimes and ropes only as a safety measure not to aid the climb. I feel like anybody could conceivably die on any given day Sport of rock climbing, made popular in the documentary Free Solo, which followed Alex Honnold as he successfully attempted the first free solo climb of El Capitan. Scaling the vertical rock face without any protection from a fall and scary honestly, a big part of the appeal is to be in this position that should be totally scary should be crazy, but to feel super comfortable. Honnold, a longtime friend and climbing partner of Harrington accompanied her on the first two thirds of her historic climb. Her fiance, Adrian Ballenger, joined her for the final section, climbing much of the sheer rock in the dark of the night, ultimately achieving what she calls an impossible dream, setting a new record and scaling her way to new Heights.
