Finding Your Source of Confidence, Strength and Security
"Extremely important to be confident. You know, they say the difference between a confident person and an arrogant person is that a confident person has nothing to prove, but an arrogant person appears to have to prove that they're confident. Isn't that funny? Now you got to know who you are. You got to know what you want to do and you got to figure out how to do it, but you got to be confident. And it's not that kind of confidence where you fake it till you make it. I mean, you've got to be confident. You know, you've got to be confident and I can make this thing work. When my phone didn't ring for two weeks, I was still confident I could make this thing work. At the time, all I had to do was just go out and work harder and meet more people and make my phone ring and that's what I did. So I also had, I had personally, my strength came from my faith in Jesus Christ. That's where I get my strength today from my faith in my Lord and Savior. And that's not for everyone and that's okay, but you've got to get your strength from something or someone in order to make it through the obstacles and the failures you're going to have. So, you've also got to be secure in being who you are at any time in your growth. You know, when I started joining some groups and I was just doing somewhere around 400 ,000 a year and I was joining groups sitting at tables with guys that were doing 4 million a year or 2 million, 3 million, 4 million, some higher than that, I still had to be confident sitting at that table. You know why? Because I realized everybody at that table started somewhere and I was okay with where I was. Now, I wanted to be larger for sure, but I was okay. I was a sponge around that table. I was learning and they learned a few things from me, but I was learning. And if you take a quick look at some very, very successful companies and the owners and founders of the company, you'll find they started with very little too. So let's take a look at them right now. Put them up on the screen. Let's take a look at Steve Jobs. I mean, Steve Jobs started in his dad's garage, as you know, if you've watched any of the Steve Jobs movies. How about Elon Musk? Take a look at that guy. He started in a small office in his house. And then there's Jeff Bezos. Jeff Bezos started... Look at that office. I mean, he started somewhere. I mean, Amazon wasn't an existence. It wasn't around. It wasn't... He started it. See, he started small and started selling books. You know why he started selling books? Because he figured it out that books could be shipped for about the same price. So it was an easy shipping. And then he went to CDs and DVDs, which was actually easier shipping. So that's what he started with and why. Isn't that kind of funny? And then of course, you know where Amazon's at today. Okay. So everybody starts somewhere and normally it's pretty small. So long story short, you got to be secure where you're at in your growth.

Uncovering the Deceptive Strategy Against RFK
"Now that I think it's critical. What am I getting? I'm getting at polls and RFK junior folks I'm telling You you are getting so played by this story They want you so badly when I say I you mean the DeSantis Trump crowd I Haley's kind of doing okay did the Republicans is what I'm at getting they want you to help them get RFK out of the race and the way they're doing it is Really deceitful, and if you know politics like I do having run and been on kind of the other Side of this operation you see right through it. It's so transparent. It's my dipsy -do -flip -a -roo theory Whatever the Democrats are telling you to do do the opposite So I've noticed all these media outlets Left -wing media outlets all reporting on oh my gosh RFK man this guy's gonna really hurt Donald Trump and Mike what's the first thing you should be thinking the dipsy -do -flip -a -roo read Headline the in reverse RFK will help Donald Trump. They're exactly right not hurt. There's nothing Left -wing media lies to you about everything always measure how you should Spawn based on the opposite of what they're doing if they're worried about a story you should be excited about a story If they're telling you get RFK out of the race he's gonna hurt you it means he's gonna help you a lot of people fell for this And though they're like ice because I still see it on social media on Twitter particularly Where people are like Man this guy's gonna steal a bunch of voters from Trump folks this guy's gonna take about three to Four voters away from Biden for every one he takes away from Trump Here it is always bring the receipts baby always new poll general election Harvard Harris Harvard Harris, so we're not talking about some like poll operation here including undecided voters Trump Biden straight -up head -to -head match no third -party candidates included Trump wins by 748 41 folks before I get to the RFK thing. This is news enough. Why go to Tom Bevin social media feed Twitter he has a tweet up right now Pointing out something really interesting about this number here Trump 48 Biden 41 in 2016 when Trump won as you remember I can make a strong case about to But that's for another day in 2016 when he was sitting in the White House folks Donald Trump out at 46 .2 he's at 48 now He peaked out at 46 .2. He's nearly two points better right

China's Naval Dominance Rises as U.S. Focuses on Diversity
"Around the world the upper hand. China wants to set the stage right now to be able to have absolute naval supremacy in the South China Sea. What are we worried about in the United States of America? Back home? We're worried about that? We're looking at the warnings of history to think to ourselves, hey gee, maybe we should try to do something about this? Nope. Instead, what we're worried about is are we spending enough on diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility? DOD The has scaled up its spending on DEIA in the past three years, jumping from $68 million in fiscal year 2022 to $86 .5 million in fiscal year 2023. But that figure surged another $28 .2 million to $114 .7 million in the department's initial year 2024. If a DOD's initial request for DEIA funding in the final legislation, the department will have spent $270 million on diversity initiatives across the last three years. $270 million on diversity initiatives. Biden's Pentagon has repeatedly pushed for further adoptions of the DEI agenda in its operations. The department's strategic management plan for fiscal years 2022 to 2026 listed one of its goals as

The Left's Sinister Plan: They Need You Stupid and Ignorant!
"In an era of shortened attention spans the left is super tactical politically they need people stupid i mean this they need you dumb and ignorant if you're not dumb and ignorant they can never do what they can do you know what i don't wanna go out of order let's but let's go anywhere jim cut six if you would bill maher uncovered here's what i mean wanted for years to use emergency powers to be able to shut down the economy to show you what they can do when they're in charge fully weaponizing the economy shutting down sectors they don't like they have craved this power forever covid was the perfect vehicle to do it but what's the catch the catch with covid was simple it was never gonna work if you didn't believe covid was the biggest threat to your life ever so they can't have smart people because smart people would like well what's the fatality rate what's the or not how infectious is this that's what conservative ass gas they and were like wait we shouldn't shut the economy down for this thing is bad it's definitely gonna kill some people and that's horrible but this isn't worth shutting down the whole economy cost -benefit dumb liberals were like no way this is the deadliest thing ever it kills a thousand percent of people it's not even possible it doesn't ten thousand percent it's the deadliest virus ever folks it's like hantavirus and Ebola it's like that Dustin Hoffman virus from but outbreak what does that move tapa or whatever the hell it was this is the worst thing ever if you fell for that because you're dumb and because some charismatic lefty told you that you were doing a public good by sitting in your house and while rotting away this virus that had a fatality rate it turns out now which I'll get to later the in show when people under 70 of only 0 .07 they need you to be stupid people like Malay and Trump who cracked through the stupid divide and people start to listen to them they're afraid of that that's why it's not the policies that bother them it's the threat to their power from them play Bill Maher talking about exactly this Bill Maher is a lefty by the way we all know that he's not our friend but once in a while he'll stumble on the truth here's Maher talking about how liberals are just morons that don't know a damn thing about covid check this out but what about liberals you know the high information by the science people? In a recent Gallup survey Democrats did much worse than Republicans in getting the right answer to the fundamental question what are the chances that someone who gets covid will need to be hospitalized the answer is between one and five percent forty one percent of democrats thought it was over fifty percent another twenty eight percent put the chances of twenty to forty nine so almost seventy percent of Democrats are wildly off on this key question and also have a greatly exaggerated view the of danger of covid 2 and the mortality rate among children I'm gonna get back to that point later but I'm serious when I tell you this you you know I know don't like liberals I'm not hiding it liberals listening you don't like me either that's fine we don't have to like each

The Plant Movement Podcast
Nova Hardscapes' Nasir Acikgoz on Thriving in Uncertain Times
"Think right now the way the economy is the way things have let's say slowed down the way interest rates have risen Politics, okay world governments and all this stuff that's going on They they you know, I feel it in the air that people just want to like curl up, you know And and they don't want to continue to push in a certain way It's kind of like let me hold all my money whatever I have left and I'm not gonna let it go, you know But you have to invest to create if you don't invest you can't create don't be scared to do that when it comes to what he's selling but My question for you is all of this stuff that's going on and you are full throttle you have I see you in the venture 36 -foot venture with quad 500 Merc's And you're flooring the throttles Why do you feel that way? When it comes to that, are you scared about anything that's coming up or you just go based off of off of what? Opportunity vision what I I don't stop I go full throttle all the time and What drives me that when I wake up I think I said I mean God has a plan and I believe in God and I I in he says it work be honest work and it's gonna happen and In this country opportunities are limitless. I mean, there's no limit. There's no There's no product you're gonna say all about people are yes, they're they're holding off They're not gonna they're you know, they're not gonna spend I will never think that way I still keep bringing and I'm gonna bring it We're gonna invest as a matter of fact The green industry has an advantage one of the biggest advantages that I've noticed is if the people are stressed They're stressed with things politics and all that how do they relax of course they go they do sports and stuff One of the things they'd relax is they work in the garden. They work in the backyard They work, you know, they do things or just looking at plants to look at plants. What did what does it do to you relaxes you? One of the things that I'm realizing because we do a lot of pool pools and you know Like we sell a lot of natural stone for pool pool decks and pool coping like for pool products That business is still booming because During the pandemic, obviously people were spending time outside and whatnot But also after the pandemic still that kept going it never stopped And the green industry picked up right right during the the pandemic. Yeah, it keeps going crazy boom Yes, it's still going. Yes. It's a little bit see slow down a little bit, but it's not gonna stop Nobody's gonna stop buying things. Well, we saw wasn't normal first of all. Yeah, it was out You know, it wasn't normal normal growth, you know normal growth year over year at least for me was 20 20 percent growth Correct, maybe 25. So I was able to do 20 to 25 percent more than I did the previous year Let's say that's normal. That's normal average, you know, but you have guys that went up a hundred two hundred three hundred percent in two years You know, so it's just a lot like even the the smaller landscapers they were used to doing, you know Three four hundred thousand dollars to say a small landscaper and a lot of them crossed a million in in two years I know, you know the Amelia 1 .5 to 2 .5 and how did that happen because of this crazy boom? So now what they're seeing is the slowdown effect a lot of people weren't prepared for this to slow down They weren't they didn't let's say understand what was going on or see what was going on And they didn't think it was gonna, you know finish so I hope everyone put you know something away for For this if not, you're gonna learn the next one. You need to yeah, you need to save obviously I'm not saying you need to spend everything but you know It's a cycle then the economy is a cycle four years five years up and then four year five years down four years So if you don't invest when it's down Obviously within your you know budget and and and means and means You're not gonna gain when it picks up again So what I'm doing is when it's up you keep investing anyway when it's down you keep going Obviously, I'm not in I'm investing. I'm actually reinvesting per se Not so aggressively as I did it during the pandemic because the demand was huge. Yeah, you saw it's still going I'm still going like I'm like, okay, so I was adding maybe five products back then but now I'm adding one two But I keep adding because I'm trying to prepare myself for the next rush. Yep, you know Hopefully we'll see those numbers again, but you know, it's gonna be tough. You'll see those numbers as more people use

Daddy Issues Podcast
Chris Reflects on His Incredible Bond With His Daughter
"Now, how is your daughter handling all this? Three years old, is she doing the sleepovers like great? Because I know you've only had a couple. So I just had my first sleepover, not last Wednesday, but the Wednesday before. So I've never had a time in which I haven't seen my daughter except when they withheld her. So it was like a month or two during that time. But no matter what, I was always, always seeing my daughter every Monday, Wednesday, Friday in the middle of the day, and every other Saturday and Sunday consistently. Never missed any time unless they were the ones withholding. And so, you know, the time difference has been difficult because like you're constantly back and forth dropping off. But for the most part, we have an amazing bond. Like I don't know if it's necessarily really affected her because the first overnight, not a single problem. Like she was like in heaven being here with Daddy. Like she has her own bed and I'm like, are you going to go sleep in your own bed? Are you going to sleep in, where do you want to sleep? And it's like, I'm going to sleep in Daddy's bed. I was like, but don't you want to try your bed out? I'll lay down, but I'm going to sleep in Daddy's bed. And like she just like sprawled out and she was like laying horizontal like my dog on the pillows. And it was like just, it was really adorable. But more importantly, like it was that whole day. I had 24 hours with her where like I wasn't in a rush to do anything. I just, I got to go about my normal day and I had her with me and she was so happy. And just spending the day with Daddy and the doggies and just, it was just so much fun. And then she's now looking forward to it because now she knows Wednesday's on my overnights. But then, you know, October is going to come really quick and now I'm going to have every Wednesday and every Friday. So it's really, it really was something else having her just the entire time without having to negotiate a time back and forth. And part of my negotiating now is like, you know, October is going to be an odd month for the other party because I have her every Friday. Which doesn't give her a weekend. And so I even offered, like, you know, here I am, like, I'm like, listen, you don't have a full weekend. If you want, I'll move the weekends that I don't have her and I'll move that Friday to a different day during the week. I'll have her different, a different day during the week for the overnight and then you'll have a full weekend with her. She still hasn't even responded to that. And that's what's crazy because most men, even me, like I talk about that stuff and I'm like, you're not only compromising for your daughter. But you're also compromising for your, your ex to make her life easier and have her be able to have your daughter on the weekends and things like that. It's like, why would you not try to get along and do that stuff? You know, again, it's, it's, and I, and I've always said this, I said this to everybody, it's not necessarily the ex. Her and I, if you take away the family core thing, her and I have always gotten along really well. It's her mother that's controlling her. She is, she is a pretty amazing person if you take away the grandmother. And so it's the grandmother making these decisions and not her. So like her, her option is either listen to the grandmother and just don't communicate at all, which is what, that's been her strategy this whole time. Is she doesn't have to cooperate because the courts have made the least amount of decisions possible until now. Now she knows that the court is like, you know, it was just a huge bombshell. I did not expect a 50 50 physical custody agreement. Like I did not, I was like mind blown. I just, I was like everyone on my side cause I had people there of course it was like crying. They're like, I'm in tears. Everyone's in tears. They're like, what just happened? It's like, what on earth just happened? Like, you know, I, I just, I just finished a criminal accusation which was indicted and you know, the judge, I actually, there was, there was a pretty big bombshell actually that happened. So part of my PTI is I need to get a psychological evaluation. But part of the transcripts that I showed you before is the judge wanted her to get a psychological evaluation, which basically was us like in 2021. But then the judge backpedaled because my attorney at the time was like, well, the burden of proof is on her. So if you want us to do a psychological evaluation, she should pay for it. And the judge completely backpedaled. She's like, Oh, well she doesn't have support. So how do you expect her to pay for it? Well, you're the one who wanted the evaluation. Okay, we're not going to issue the evaluation. But imagine if an evaluation was issued then how much, how, how nothing else possibly would have happened. I probably never would have been wrongfully accused of a crime. Like she would have been forced to co -parent or I would have had more, more parenting rights or more time with my daughter and she would have had, she would have been forced to co -parent.

Chris Describes Navigating Custody Battles and False Accusations
"You for having me on again. I know that we spoke the last time and I was going through a lot of, you know, the whole situation is terrible. And, you know, now I finally got some resolution and I know that you were like, you said that you're going back to court or something and you could use some, some, some good news. Yeah. So, you know, we, we, we last ended with my struggle going in and like trying to file for overnights previously. So I'll just give you a recap from that situation to now. Sorry, there's a dog. 2020, So in 2021, I was allowed to file for overnights. The judge was like, you know what, your child's too young. You can file when she's a year old. So I had to wait to file, of course, and then she's a year old and then you wait three months to get your hearing and then they hear you. And then that judge was like, okay, well, you weren't guaranteed overnights. You'll have to, um, you'll have to have like a custody neutral assessment, just like throwing anything you can in front of me just to, to block it. All right. And so we have a custody neutral assessment and then I get charged criminally, criminal charges. I go to jail for a day or so. For what? Yeah. So she accused me of stalking her and harassing her. And so then I get out of jail, of course. And the judge is like, okay, because there are charges pending, you know, she gets full legal custody and, uh, you know, you can't file for overnights until this is resolved. That is unreal. Now during my whole court proceedings, I think I even sent you some of the transcripts. Like I've been telling the judge that she is the one stalking me. She's outside my house all the time. Like she's, her mother is harassing me and yelling at me. I have like all this video footage of it. Like again, like once you get into family court, you have to document everything because there, there, there is no limits. Like a person will do absolutely anything to get the upper hand. But I've been telling the judge the whole time and he's like, well, are there any charges? I'm like, no, I don't think it's in my child's best interest for her mother to be in jail. So she gets this idea and now I'm the one that ends up in jail. So the judge takes all of my rights away and because of this stalking allegation. However, right before he does it, we were in court and she tells the judge point blank, yes, I am stalking him. After all of this, I've been telling the judge that she's been stalking me. I, I have all of the evidence. The judge takes all of my rights away. She tells the judge that she's stalking me. And in the transcript you see the judge, oh, that don't need to be on the record, which is hilarious. And then, and then so I lose all my rights and he's like, okay, well when your, your, your charges resolve, you can then file for overnights again. So now we fast forward because, you know, 19, I think like took 19 or 20 months for it to finally resolve. And I ended up having to go into this, so like, like my case was like indicted by the way. I ended up having to go into this program called PTI because I've never, I'm not a criminal. I've never been in trouble for anything. And, and if you don't know what PTI is, PTI stands for pretrial intervention. It's for, it's for people that have never been in trouble. And they're like, well, you're facing some serious allegations or charges. And instead of like having a record, you basically go into this program. It's like a one time get out of jail free card. And once you complete the program, you no longer have chart, you have no longer have a criminal record. All this will go away. So I have to enter this program. And of course the mother is like fighting with, fighting with the prosecutor and like trying to keep me from this resolving as much as humanly possible. Even after she's already admitted to stalking me, which is like bizarre because you would think that would go somewhere, right? Right. I mean, I'd be going after the judge. Like, you know, there's, it's, it's almost nothing you can do about it. You know, like, um, you know, the very final hearing, you know, all of this is going on and the judge is like, you know, this child's gonna have a terrible life. This is all my fault. And he says that on the record. It's like insane. Like, so, so I, I go through this thing for 19 months, but while, while I'm waiting for my criminal issue to resolve, I'm enforcing court orders because now she's taking it upon herself to keep my daughter from me. So now we're still in court. So I filed to enforce the court order. She has like over 30 violations and, uh, the, the, you know, the, every, I have, I go through the two judges and the judges are like, nobody wants the judge that I have now, by the way, the judge is like, you know, nobody wants to deal with this, so I'm going to deal with it. You know, and it took 10 months to get it, to get it in front of, into a trial. So we have a trial and the judge finds her to purposely be thwarting my time and her being a liar and you know, and, and all of the criminal things came out during this trial as

RINO Billionaires Are Now Coalescing Behind Nikki Haley
"Wants you to know she's up for the fight. She's told us over and over again that she's a woman. Why does she have to tell us over and over again that she's a woman? Isn't that what the Libs do, or at least used to do? Okay, got it. She's a woman. Perfect. But she's not Margaret Thatcher. Let's be honest. The problem is Nikki Haley's not a conservative. I've said it before I'll and say it again. She's George Bush in a dress. Obviously what I mean by that is ideologically. This is why Karl Rove is getting behind her. This is why others who horrific have losing streaks are getting behind her. Billionaires getting behind her. There's a report out now, I think it was Axios, that said that she was meeting with the. No, no, there's a report on Axios that says Mitt Romney's big money guy has now moved over to Kelly's team. What? Oh yeah. Romney's guy. And there's more. Remember this guy Fink at Black Rock? I wrote about him and The Democrat Party hates America and we've talked about him very often. Black Rock? Remember he was pushing ESG, that is, he was pushing hard this woke agenda and trying to impose it on all the other companies that he helps finance or invests in? A one -man wrecking machine, this guy Fink. Well guess who she met with a few days ago? Him. Why would she meet with him? Ron DeSantis. May I use his name, Mr. Producer? Is that okay? What drew $2 billion from Black Rock because of what they were doing? Yeah. Thank you. Iggy Haley And Iggy Haley was the one who said she said it herself. I know this to be true. I checked with my stepson, Mr. Producer. And that is that Disney, she said Disney can come to South Carolina while DeSantis is fighting Disney. She invites them to South Carolina and I can go on and on. And it's not just her versus DeSantis or her versus Ramaswami or versus her Trump, it's her versus us. Us. So you're seeing, if you were to ask Mitch McConnell who he liked, Nikki Haley. They'll all like Nikki Haley. In Washington D .C., Republicans. the That's who

Some of the softness that you are seeing in a lot of the manufacturing chemicals and manufacturing products here, and that's a sign here that we could see some more broader economic softness overall. Alright, see lubricants. They're important. Let's be careful, Carol. Let's walk through the numbers here on this Tuesday afternoon. A good day all around with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up almost 500 points, or about 1 .4 % here on the day. The S &P 500 higher by about 84 points, just a smid shy of that 4 ,500 level that it did trade above. It's going to close right around 4 ,495 and change here. That's higher by about 1 .9 % here on the day, best day for the S &P. Going back to January and the NASDAQ up about 2 % or 326 points above that 14 ,000 level. But we've got to talk about the Russell 2000, guys, because it was a phenomenal day for the Russell. A 5 .4 % gain on that index. Not only is that the best day going back to November of last year, but when you talk about the outperformance relative to the rest of the market here, and this has really been the bugaboo for so long, Carol, the idea that the Russell, the small caps, even the mid caps were not keeping pace with some of those outsize gains we had earlier this year, well, at least for today, those names are getting into the spotlight. Yeah, very, very telling. You've now got the Russell in the green year to date. It's up just about 2 % here. I just want to say, if you look at the S &P 500 remain, I mean, really broad based, and we know this, right? We've got almost roughly about 466 names to the upside today.

My name is Noelle Acheson, CoinDesk collaborator and author of the Crypto as Macro Now newsletter on Substat. On today's show, we're talking about new inflows into the crypto ecosystem, inflation, and more. So you don't miss an episode, be sure to follow the podcast on your platform of choice and turn on notifications. And just a reminder, CoinDesk is a news source and does not provide investment advice. Now, a markets roundup. Crypto prices were heading down earlier today, but then we got some good news on the US inflation. I'll talk more about this in a moment. This has turned the mood around, with many assets clawing back some of the day's losses. According to CoinDesk indices, at 9 a .m. Eastern time today, Bitcoin was trading at $36 ,546, down almost 1 % over the past 24 hours, although up 1 .5 % over the past hour alone. Ether was trading down 0 .75 % over the past 24 hours at $2 ,043. Elsewhere, Cosmos, Filecoin, and the Lido DAO token were down 9%. Solana and Polkadot were down 3 .5%. Ripple's XRP token had an interesting day yesterday. A tweet reported that BlackRock had filed for an XRP trust in Delaware. This was taken as a sign that the asset manager was planning to file a proposal for a spot XRP ETF, and the asset jumped 12 % in just a few minutes. The news turned out to be fake, however. I mean, it's very, very unlikely BlackRock would file for an ETF based on asset that not only doesn't have a CME derivatives market, but is still in active securities litigation. Needless to say, the XRP price corrected sharply shortly after, with both moves triggering significant losses in derivatives positions. Earlier today, XRP was still up over the past 24 hours, but only around 1%. In macro indicators, the US inflation data for the month of October is in. And it came in soft, which is very good news. To recap, in September, the headline CP index increased by 3 .7%, and consensus estimates for October pointed to a 3 .3 % increase. That itself would have been good. But the number came in even softer, at 3 .2%. Even more relevant for the US Federal Reserve is the Core CPI index, since this strips out the volatile components of food and energy. In September, Core CPI jumped by 4 .1 % year on year, and expectations were for that rate of increase to hold steady in October. The actual figure came in at 4 .0%, the smallest increase since September 2021. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, shelter accounted for the bulk of the increase in the Core Inflation Index, but much less so than expected. And it seems lower energy prices are also doing their bit. On a monthly basis, Core CPI grew by 0 .2%, less than expected. This brings the three -month average monthly gain down to 0 .3%, lower than last year's average of 0 .5%. The average needs to come down further to give the Fed some breathing room, but it is progress. A US rate hike at the December FOMC meeting was unlikely anyway, given market tension, geopolitical fragility, and the likelihood of a government shutdown starting this weekend. This release now takes that totally off the table. As we head into record, US yields are heading down fast, with the 10 -year Treasury yield plummeting as investors were holding their breath for the inflation report. The good news in the figures has given the market a jolt of energy, with futures pointing to a very strong open. European indices were more positive yesterday, with the FTSE 100 up 0 .9%, the German DAX up 0 .6%, and the Euro Stoxx 600 up 0 .75%. The US figures are extending this trend for the DAX and the as investors digest the UK cabinet reshuffle. In Asia, stocks were cautiously positive today, with both Japan's Nikkei index and China's Shanghai Composite climbing 0 .3 % and the Hang Seng losing almost 0 .2%. In commodities, oil continues to head up, despite a report out this morning from the International Energy Agency that insists global oil markets won't be as tight as expected this quarter. The agency recognizes that demand is growing, as OPEC said yesterday, but non -OPEC supply apparently is growing even more. The market doesn't seem convinced yet, however, and the Brent crude benchmark is up 0 .4 on the day, trading at $83 .67 a barrel. After falling more than 1 % yesterday, gold today is benefiting from a drop in the $DXY index, as US yields digest the good inflation figures. Earlier today, gold was trading up over 0 .5 % at $1 ,956 per ounce. Stay with us. After the break, we're going to talk about new crypto investment.

A highlight from The Best Altcoins To Buy This Week! (Act Fast)
"This may not be the optimal market to start DCAing into coins for long -term holds, but right now is the optimal time for trading with a lot of amazing trade setups presenting themselves every single week. So in today's video, I'm going to run through the 14, yes, 14 trade setups, all of which are long setups this week, because you know what happens when you try to fight the trend, you get wrecked. This is a market where as long as the uptrend lasts, is your friend until the end of the trend. And that means we long more than we short. So today I have 14 long setups I want to discuss with you. Most of the setups are a little bit shorter term, like mostly focused on this week, but a couple are a little bit longer term, I would say like in the three to four month range. Not focusing on super long term trades here, but still definitely going to have some alpha for you in today's video as to what altcoins I think could be part of a rotation. As we're seeing right now, basically narratives hop from narrative to narrative as traders seem to be rotating profits into different sectors. And we're going to discuss where I think that rotation could take us. 14 very different altcoins in today's show. We're going to cover a couple narratives like gaming, like ZK, and hopefully you enjoy. Smash the like button if you are enjoying the content at the moment. Let's just start with Bitcoin. An interesting observation to make on Bitcoin is that the last time it had four consecutive weekly candles in a row to the upside, as you can see, like we have currently gotten, it actually did this in early January and ended up reversing for two weeks before continuing an uptrend. So I mean, just because it happened once doesn't mean we're necessarily going to get like a sustained pullback now. But I think what needs to happen and what the market is already starting to show us with weekly open here is that Bitcoin needs a little bit of a cooldown. Now a cooldown is not bad for altcoins. A cooldown, if Bitcoin just moves sideways, maybe a little bit down is actually good for altcoins because it gives the alt some breathing room. It takes the wind out of Bitcoin sales a little bit and gives the alt some room to run. So what I want to see longer term is definitely a sustained increase in Bitcoin dominance that shows liquidity is flowing into Bitcoin. And then eventually I want to see that siphon off into the alts. So I actually want to see dominance pushing up to 60 % for a really healthy market. So altcoins can have a sustained run. But for now, if Bitcoin just cools and alts run a little bit, that's okay for now. Another interesting thing to note is that Bloomberg analysts still expect a 90 % chance of a Bitcoin spot ETF approval by the 10th of January. At the moment, the SEC has another five days to approve an ETF. If they don't approve it, then they're going to have to delay until January. So we could see an approval this week. I don't think this will be the case, but it is a possibility given the fact this week we are in an approval window. So definitely look for some volatility on Bitcoin. All right, let's get into the official list of altcoins that I'm looking at my weekly watch list. By the way, this is a show that I've been doing pretty much every week, but obviously now there's extra attention on the show because we're finally getting some market movers. If you looked at my watch list last week, basically I think six out of the seven tokens that I listed all ended up in profits. We had some amazing trades from that watch list. So congratulations to everyone that got involved there. Hopefully from this week's watch list, similarly, we have some good trades that come out of this one as well. The first place I want to start is ThorChain. What you need to understand about ThorChain is that it's the ultimate bull market token. Because of its reflexive mechanism, the more capital that goes into Roon, basically the better the yields end up being because they need to incentivize LPs to stake tokens in the pools to balance out the Roon LP because Roon is pumped in price, right? So when you have a higher APR, a lot of people ape into Roon, increasing the TVL. We can see the TVL is skyrocketing at the moment, as you can see here. And what that means is that Roon has this really explosive effect, this compounding effect, this flywheel when the market starts to deposit into Roon. So Roon is actually pretty much the ultimate bull market token. In a bear market, it's the opposite. It's one of the worst tokens because it gets hit really hard the other way. When the Roon price is going down, the yields tank. A lot of people exit the ecosystem because remember, to facilitate omni -chain swaps, what Roon does is it basically has LPs where you're required to hold an asset one to one with Roon. So if you want to swap from, let's say, Ethereum to Bitcoin, you're going to need in the omni -pool your Roon pairing with Ethereum and Bitcoin in order to facilitate that swap. So that's why in a bull market it does really well and in a bear market it does really bad. Because we're in a bull trend at the moment, Roon is clearly performing really well. It's one of the strongest performers in the market at the moment. And for that reason, if we do see a pullback like we're seeing right now, this is one that I'll look to ladder into on continuation. As I mentioned at the start of the video, this is really a traders market and it's a market where you probably want to be longing more than you are shorting. And when we're longing more than we're shorting, we want to look at the strongest coins. There are a few rotational players that I want to talk about but you generally want to look at the strongest coins and on any major pullbacks you can use them as dip buying opportunities, not for spot but for trades only. So depending on your risk tolerance, you can use different amounts of leverage. Some people, if you have more capital, you'll prefer spot trading. For me, I actually do a fair bit of spot trading so I might go in with a bigger position or a low leverage position because I don't want to get wicked out like we saw on the 10th of November. But here are some levels that you can look at to enter Roon on the pullback. The major level I'm looking at is this cross section here between the horizontal and the upwards diagonal trend which comes at around $4. If Roon somehow makes its way back down there, I don't think it will. This would be an amazing zone to do some buying. If not, then you do have this zone right here at the 4 .7 area that could be an interesting look as a small ladder in zone. You could probably ladder in here and then your last gasp is at $3 .60. If it starts breaking this trend, then that looks really bad that it's just going to reverse all the way back down. I don't think that's going to happen though. I think momentum for Roon has been upwards and as such, we should treat it with respect and it's certainly what I'm looking to have a nibble at if we continue to get any sort of sustained pullback in terms of trading, of course, not long -term. Long -term positions will be on more key high time frame supports. If you want to learn a bit more about that, I actually uploaded a video called If You Miss The Crypto Rally Follows This Exact Roadmap, which talks about long -term investing. So today is the short -term show. Yesterday, if you go onto the channel and go onto my playlist, and there's also a playlist linked in the description, that will give you a roadmap for the spot side of things. In terms of buying spot Roon, you want to be doing so on key support levels on the higher time frames because we don't like to buy long -term positions on the shorter time frames. It just doesn't make or the lower time frames. It just doesn't make any sense, right? 4 swaps an interesting play now starting to wake up as well being the main decks on Roon. This is definitely a 4 beta play or a Roon beta play rather. So 4 is definitely what I'm looking at in a similar gist to what I'm doing with Roon. Any major pullbacks probably going to gobble them up from a trading point of view. And you can also see they closed with an all -time high trading volume right now. A lot of people are actually using Roon to swap, which is an amazing thing and great for the ecosystem. So that's Roon. Now I want to talk about Solana because Solana is in a similar position to Roon in the sense that being one of the most explosive price movers. But it's kind of an interesting spot, right? Because it's come all the way up from what $15 to $53 in price. It actually hit $60 for a brief period of time. Spot holders don't know if they should take profits here. Traders don't know if they should be longing here. It's kind of in a weird position. But if we look at Sol, we can see that it broke above the key weekly resistance at the $48 level. So for me, a pullback into this zone similar to a buying opportunity, because I think what tends to happen with these coins is the most explosive move happens last. We haven't, I don't think seen that blow off top yet. And I may be wrong, this $65 zone could have been this blow off top. But I still have a feeling that we get that final thrust from Solana that just squeezes all those shorts that are now starting to pile up a little bit. And that will be your final blow off top for Solana. So because I think there's a tiny bit of juice left in the lemon here, I would be looking at any major pullback similarly to Rune continuing to ladder in until the trend reverses. Happy to kind of lose a bit of money trying to play this game considering that the upside is fairly immense in my opinion, if you can hit that trade. So Solana is one that I'd be interested in longing on a major pullback. You know the key level on the weekly. Obviously, you want to confirm that with lower timeframe trade setups because you have a fantastic level to look at. And on let's say the one hourly, the four hourly, that's when you'd actually be entering. Okay, let's move on to a new subset of tokens. These are the tokens that haven't moved. I know Rune and Solana have moved aggressively and we are playing the by the dip game, I guess on those ones. But some of the coins I want to talk about now actually haven't really moved. Now they have moved because the whole market's moved, but just not as much like Polygon hasn't done a 5x like Solana has or you know, 6x, 7x like Rune has. It is significantly up of course, but there is a really interesting narrative starting to brew here and that's the ZK narrative. So if you actually remember back to earlier in the year, January, February, some of the strongest performers alongside like AI and LSDs were the ZK coins. There was a lot of ZK hype and Matic being your biggest coin in this ZK basket of coins tends to be a market leader and it also happens to have this big announcement happening on November 14th which is garnering a leader of the ZK sector if ZK starts to wake up. Because right now we're in this rotational market, we saw Solana rotate into Avalanche, we saw that rotate into Phantom, we saw gaming pop off, we're seeing all these narratives pop off, AI popped off last week. I think next, a narrative that hasn't really popped off, but one that did in January is ZK. So Matic's definitely one of them. In terms of trading this, you do have your major support at 76, but what I would be more interested in is a break of the 92 cent level on the four hourly. Any confirmation above this level would be a decent entry in my opinion and you can see this level mapped out on the daily chart as your key resistance that we're currently trying to test at the moment. If we break that level, then suddenly we can look at a scenario that happened earlier in the year in February, as I said during that ZK run, where Matic ran all the way to 150. A 150 Matic in this run is not out of the question at all. In fact, I think it could happen if ZK gains steam. So that's what I'm keeping my eye on. Now let's talk about some of the other ZK protocols, but before we get into that, while we're speaking on the topic of Polygon, if you do want to earn any yield on the Polygon side, you can go to the farming page on SmartX, which is one of our official show partners. It's an AMM, which reduces the negative effects of impermanent loss and sometimes leads to impermanent gain that currently offers some of the most competitive, in fact, the best rates on the Polygon side for yield farming. So you can see in front of you, you've got 30 to 40 % APRs on a variety of pools, which as I said, have a mechanism which reduces impermanent loss, which is obviously one of the biggest headaches when it comes to Lping in crypto. So I highly recommend using the link in the description below to check out SmartX if you are interested in farming, or you can also do swapping on SmartX and get some of the best swap in the market as well. Link in the description below to check out SmartX. I've got some big announcements coming soon that I'm excited to share with you as well, so stay tuned for that. So let's talk about some of the other ZK protocols. So if Matic starts to make a run here, what will I long? Well, I'm going to long the leaders. I'm not going to try and pick the laggards in this sector. I want to pick the strongest coins in this sector. If we look back to the last run, as I mentioned at the start of the year, some of the best performers were Mina Protocol, Loop Ring, Nute and Dusk. So these are the ones I'm looking at because the market's really familiar with them. I think there's a bit of synergy here with that narrative in these coins. So those are some of the ones I'm looking at. But whatever leads in this sector after Polygon, those will be the ones that I'm interested in. And you can see Polygon and Immutable, the two biggest ZK protocols have run, but a lot of the others haven't run yet. So I think it's a narrative that's flying slightly under the radar, but I think it'll catch up quick once it starts to gain steam. So as a rotational play, this is definitely one that I'm interested in this week. Another one I'm interested in, which is already starting to pump, but probably has a little more upside left in it, is Sei Network. Now we know how explosive these career pumps have been in recent times. Pretty much every token that's been listed on Korean exchange a bit has exploded. We saw this earlier in the year with Sui and Aptos. We've recently seen it with Mina Protocol. Now we're on its pair on Upbit. So Sei is definitely one that I'm watching. It's catching a strong career pump. It has moved, but Sei is what I would call a new coin, right? It's a coin that has launched in the bear market. It's newer. It has pumpermentals because there's less underwater bag holders, and it still is down from its original trading price on its first day. Not from IDO price, but from the peak that it hit on its first day because it had a huge pump, ended up coming back down. It did hit its low of, what is it, like 0 .09 here. It's now started to move back up to 0 .15, but that's less than a 2X on a coin that has, as I said, pumpermentals. It's obviously a trading blockchain built in the Cosmos ecosystem. So some interesting stuff with Sei. If you do want an entry here, I mean, you could look to get an initial position, but if you're using leverage, you want to be careful. I mean, this is kind of not really a great place to trade. Obviously on one hourly, you might be able to find, it depends how, like if you're trading breakouts, you could probably look for like a breakout of this trend here. By the time you're watching this video, it might be too late. So the best I can do for you is actually looking on the four hourly and showing you these key support levels. The 0 .1344 level, if we do get some sort of confluence with the horizontal and diagonal trend here, this would be a great pocket to buy in. But any zone along this major support zone will be an area that I load up, but it does depend on your trading strategy. If you are a high leverage trader, you want to be a lot more precise. Me, I'll either go in this with spot or super low leverage. So I'm not so concerned about getting the exact entry. I'm just trying to really catch it for the uptrend. So depends how you trade, of course, if you're trying to snipe that entry, got to be a lot more careful. For me, a much lower leverage than your average person because I found that's what works for me because I don't have time just personally to sit in front of my computer all day and snipe entries. That's not me. I much more size. So let's say instead of taking a 2k position, I'll take let's say a 10k or a 15k spot position. And then I can't get wrecked on margin, which has been helping me a lot. Or I'll just go in with like a 3x leverage position. So it would take a lot to shake me out of a trade. So that is one I'm looking at. Similarly to say another coin that has pumpamentals and has shown this in recent times as another new coin is Celestia. Remember guys, the new coins can pump so much harder than all coins in the market. That's why I've been saying for a long time, you should definitely keep your eye on the new coins from both accumulation and a trading perspective. Celestia, by the way, is one if you've been following me on Twitter that you may have gotten an airdrop for because I did an airdrop guide last year and I included Celestia and this could end up being one of the most lucrative airdrops of the year. Congrats to anyone that watched that guide or watch my tweet and got involved because right now if you held your Celestia bag, you'd won to $2 ,000 but for some people it could be a lot more if you use multiple wallets. So I think this one is fantastic and there's a few people that have been coming out and saying that it's this cycle's soul. Smartestmoney .eth, it's an account I respect. The number one coin m p &l trader on Binance, that's pretty crazy, that is very crazy actually, has added spot to a massive seed position quote unquote and basically said watch and learn wannabes. These guys out here buying salt while I'm buying the next Solana. Big call but I mean the market cap is reasonably valued 700 mil okay five bill fdvs a lot but we know in the short term the circulating supply definitely goes to dictate how explosive the price moves can be market cap 700 mils reasonable at rank 71 calling it the next soul I don't know I like this one I like it as a spot play but not maybe after this massive pump in terms of a trade though super interesting now actually on support trend you'll notice a lot of coins are following the same trend they have a diagonal up trend as long as they stick to that trend you long if they start to break down below you've got to be a little bit wary but they've also got these horizontal support levels that they make after their retracements so this is actually a good one too long there's a couple of levels here for you to look out for on the one hourly on Celestia so that's an interesting one and let's move into some of the final narratives here I've got two more to share with you and both of these include a variety of alt coins so the first one is perpetuals I think if this volatility is to remain in the market we could definitely see perpetuals performing well we're starting to see a catch up in terms of price and fundamentals despite that not being the case a couple of weeks ago and if you see in front of you volume is performing really well this is purpose trading season this is an on -chain aping season this is the season where people are trading perps I think the centralized exchanges are doing the best that's where most people are trading but I think decks could catch up and for this reason as well as the fact that I think volatility could remain for the foreseeable future I think the perp decks remain super interesting looks at the moment not for short -term trades this week but over let's say the medium term so two to three months maybe even six months so these are definitely ones I've got my eye on dydx I'm going to do a video on this week that's a very interesting trade GMX and gains network being the ones that are kind of your decks perp decks proxies and a few others and as you can see on the weekly a lot of these are barely moved so especially like GMX and games they're a very interesting look in my opinion and if you do want to snipe better entries on a coin like GMX I recommend you use Kyber AI which is a software that basically tells you the momentum of a coin based on a variety of on -chain indicators like the number and types of trades trading volume net flow to whale wallets and what I would do on a coin like GMX is essentially if you're lining up a buy and let's say you want to start buying when shifts momentum what I would look for is a pattern like this where it shifts from bearish into bullish territory now since this video is not live you're gonna have to open your up your own Kyber AI using the link in the description below to see where it currently is but right now this would actually be potentially an interesting place to long GMX if on the lower time frames it lines up with what the Kyber score is showing which is basically bearish price momentum shown by a strong reversal so heading back into bullish territory as you can see buys are now starting to outpace cells and volume is also up ticking across GMX all of those are metrics that go into the Kyber score Kyber score is one of my favorite metrics in crypto if you go to rankings you can actually sort by market cap I love doing this so I go more than 500 million for the large caps that you can actually trade perps on and you can see which coins are looking the most bullish this can help you get entries in the market especially in a bullish market like this searching for the bullish coins can be an amazing way especially using on -chain analysis to get better trading entries so link in the description to check out Kyber AI it's an extremely useful tool especially for confluence with getting trading entries and crypto bad to subscribers will get early access versus the rest of the pack so link in the description below of course it's free so not showing you anything paid it is a free service to use the last narrative I want to talk about quickly is one I think people are forgetting about it has had a bit of a pullback um but it's the gaming narrative into YGG the reason I say people are forgetting people aren't forgetting about gaming there's a lot of talk about crypto gaming on twitter but I think they're forgetting about one of the biggest gaming conferences in five days time starting on November 18th it lasts for a week there definitely could be some I mean a lot of the major projects are speaking there so there could be some interesting announcements and even if not I think there's bound to be hype into that conference so for that reason definitely keep your eye on the gaming projects there's two in particular that I like YGG because it's their conference and this is now having a pullback into a decent zone in my opinion and also GMT which on the weekly and I know once again you don't enter short -term trades on the weekly but on the weekly if it can pull back down into this pocket at 0 .22 and confirm this is support and if you line that up with your lower time frame indicators of course that could be a decent zone also to enter a GMT trade so gaming is something I'm not going to fade the bees are kind of going from one narrative to another but gaming is one that I've got my eye on ahead of the conference so I hope you enjoyed this video these are all the narratives I'm looking at right now mostly short -term some medium to long -term hope you enjoyed this was fast it was alpha packed let me know in the comments below if there are any other coins I should look at and I'll see you in the next one. Peace out.

The Breakdown
A highlight from BTC Held By Institutional Products Hits ATH
"Welcome back to The Breakdown with me, NLW. It's a daily podcast on macro, Bitcoin, and the big picture power shifts remaking our world. What's going on, guys? It is Monday, November 13th, and today we are picking up right where we left off last week with the shift in bullish sentiment. Before we get into that, however, if you are enjoying The Breakdown, please go subscribe to it, give it a rating, give it a review, or if you want to dive deeper into the conversation, come join us on the Breakers Discord. You can find the link in the show notes or go to bit .ly slash breakdown pod. Hello, friends. Well, like I said, we are picking up right where we left off with the bullish sentiment in crypto markets continuing across the weekend. Ethereum cemented its gains from Thursday's announcement of a spot ETF application from BlackRock. Now, there was a 5 % pullback from Thursday's seven -month high of $2 ,130, but throughout the weekend, Ethereum traders defended the $2 ,000 price level and saw a slight price improvement into Sunday night. Ethereum ended the week up more than 8%, extending its streak to four consecutive weeks with gains of 5 % or more. Bitcoin traded sideways over the weekend, but that means it stuck close to the $37 ,000 level. What's more, the week began with excitement around Bitcoin and the possibility of preliminary ETF approvals coming soon. Now, last week, of course, had begun with excitement around Bitcoin and the possibility of preliminary ETF approvals coming soon. Toward the end of that week, that enthusiasm rotated into altcoins. Indeed, Bitcoin slightly underperformed the broader crypto market with a 5 .8 % weekly gain. But overall, with the 124 % year -to -date price move, Bitcoin has filled in most of the negative price action dating back to the collapse of Luna last May and is now trading at more than half of its all -time high. One other indicator of how things are changing is the stablecoin market cap. Stablecoin market cap as a percentage of overall crypto market cap has been steadily decreasing over the past month. At the beginning of October, stablecoins represented almost 10 % of the overall crypto market, but last week that figure contracted to around 7 .4%. Now, that's still a long way from getting below the 4 % stablecoin dominance levels which we saw at the euphoric highs of the last bull run, but the last month has been the longest continuing streak of decreasing stablecoin dominance throughout the crypto winter and levels are at their lowest point since May 2022. Now, if you're trying to make sense of what that would actually indicate, think about it this way. A lot of money in crypto doesn't actually ever leave the crypto markets. It simply moves between different assets based on what's performing and so, of course, when things are bad, when we are in the depths of a winter and there's not much opportunity to be had, people simply hang out in stablecoins. The percentage of the market cap that comes from stablecoins going down is one indicator that more money is moving back into the other parts of the market. Now, of course, there were lots of vibes on Twitter to match all of this action. Size Chad writes, the bull market is back, baby. Bitcoiner BitPain writes, how have we gone up 38 % in a month with no serious corrections? What absolute beast is devouring Bitcoin every dip? Now, someone who is trying to have a little bit of chill when it came to this was Chris Berdiske from Placeholder Ventures. He's been using the analogy of getting drunk and noted that while crypto Twitter appeared to be a few drinks in, he said that he wasn't going to question the uptrend until everyone appears five plus beers deep. He added, although signs of intoxication are appearing, when BlackRock's handing out booze, it's hard to know when the party will stop. Still, he said, for me, it doesn't matter. This isn't a big bash. And so I'm still not buying, not selling, just riding.

Markets Daily Crypto Roundup
A highlight from Crypto Update | What JPMorgan Analysts Missed About Bitcoin's Rally
"This episode of Markets Daily is sponsored by CME Group and PayPal. So you don't miss an episode, be sure to follow the podcast on your platform of choice and turn on notifications. And just a reminder, CoinDesk is a news source and does not provide investment advice. Now a markets roundup. After the hectic activity at the end of last week as markets reacted to BlackRock's filing of an EtherSpot ETF proposal, the weekend seemed like an oasis of calm. So far today, the market looks mixed. According to Coindesk Indices, at 9 a .m. Eastern Time this morning, Bitcoin was down two thirds of a percent over the past 24 hours, trading at $36 ,873. Ether was up one third, trading at $2 ,059. Elsewhere, Filecoin was up 14%, Cosmos was up 10%, Optimism and the Lido DAO token were up 5%. Solana was down 1 % after what has been an astonishing run. Over the past week, the asset is up over 40%. You may remember that in an early October episode, I pulled out the average performance of Bitcoin for the month of October going back to 2010, which was 27%. I calculated that if Bitcoin achieved that average performance during the month, the price would reach just over $34 ,000. Well, that's pretty much what happened. Do please note, I am not saying I know where the price is going, and the October result was pure coincidence, I don't have a crystal ball. But let's try the same exercise for November just for fun. November historically has been on average an even better month than October, with an average performance going back to 2011 of 44%. If this November meets its average, and it's a big if, that would put the Bitcoin price at just over $49 ,000. It's a pleasant thing to keep in mind. In macro indicators, today I have more news from the University of Michigan Consumer Survey. You may remember a couple of weeks ago, I talked about why this survey was worth watching. It's because of what it says about how consumers are feeling, which could impact future spending. Well, on Friday, we got the details for October, and there are some worrying signals in there. Inflation expectations one year out are now at 4 .4%, much higher than the expected 4%, and higher than September's 4 .2%. This is the highest level since May, which signals that the rate hikes are not doing what they're supposed to do, which is bring down corporate and consumer spending and reset expectations. The fact that consumer inflation expectations are more than double the official target is not nearly as worrying as the fact that they are heading up. And it's especially relevant since it is something Fed Chair Jerome Powell has said he keeps an eye on, as inflation expectations can influence behavior. This rise in the University of Michigan's survey result further confirms that rate cuts are not on the table just yet, and probably won't be for a while, at least until this number comes down to close to 2%. The University of Michigan inflation expectations for five years out also came in higher than expected at 3 .2%. This is lower than the 12 -month expectations, which is good, but it does send the signal that the Fed's inflation target won't be reached even in five years.

"When will we see the Apple AirPods 3? With a year and a half going by since the last version of Apple's true wireless earbuds, the AirPods 19? There are naturally already murmurs of another updated model coming our way. There have been rumors of an Apple AirPod 3 crashing into the market before 2020 is out, but recent comments from industry analysts suggest we may be waiting a while longer, speculating that the next-gen AirPods would start mass production in early 2021, with new AirPod Pro models starting in 2022 as well. We might still get some over-the-ear Apple headphones this year, however, with the much-rumored AirPods X. Since the original Apple AirPods launched in 2016, the true wireless earbuds have dominated the headphone market, becoming an icon of the company's slick design, customs, and user-friendly technologies. They weren't perfect, though, and in 2019, the upgraded AirPods, or AirPods 2 if you will, were furnished with Apple's H1 chip, which brought with it faster pairing times, longer battery, and a cool hands-free Hey Siri feature. These second-gen true wireless earbuds were a definite improvement upon their predecessors, but they were still easily eclipsed by the likes of the Sony WF-1000XM3, the Cambridge Audio Melomania 1, and Apple's own AirPods Pro from 2019. While we haven't heard any confirmation from Apple that it will be launching the AirPods 3 this year, we've still had plenty of time to come up with a wish list of all the features that we'd like to see from the company's next true wireless earbuds.

"I'm doctor Anthony Liz, and this is climate connections. Phoenix, Arizona is one of the hottest cities in the country. We regularly reach temperatures over a 110°. So heat is definitely a big, big issue in the Phoenix metro area. That's Anna bettis of the Arizona healthy cities program at the nature conservancy. She says Phoenix is getting even hotter as the climate warms. That rising heat has many consequences. It can cause illness and even death. It drives up energy bills, and it can damage infrastructure such as roads, and when it's hot, people may miss work or be less productive. All of those impacts have an economic cost. In a recent nature conservancy report, researchers found that if no action is taken, increasingly extreme heat could cost the Phoenix metro area about $2 billion each year. On the flip side of that, we looked at how we could avoid these costs. Planting shade trees and installing cool roofs roofs that are topped with reflective paint or other materials can help reduce urban heat, and researchers found that the financial benefit of taking these measures far outweighs the cost. So it is really critical that governments, private sector, communities make these investments as quickly as we can. Climate connections is produced by the Yale center for environmental communication. "All right, everyone, I'm back again. This is season two episode 7. The reason why I'm back, the previous episode, season two, episode 6. I talked about confidence in leadership leadership being the most critical skill and confidence being the number one quality of an effective leader. And during that episode, I kind of compare Vladimir Putin with the president of Ukraine with Vladimir zelensky. And I believe as a leader, all of us as a community, just for being a human being. We all need to do something for the people of Ukraine. So Groff and me as a girlfriend me campaign. Originally, they were trying to raise only $1 million for the people of Ukraine. And when I joined the campaign, I believe it was a week ago, they addressed only about 800,000 by the time I started only. That is a lot of money. And my challenge was, well, I have about 29,000 people following me on LinkedIn, which is my number one platform. So if everybody gave only $5, that's what I'm asking for. $5. The price of coffee might be good to Starbucks, you pay for a cup of coffee, $5. That's what I want you to do. It doesn't matter if you are rich or poor, I think everybody can do this just $5. Not 5000, not 5 million, just $5. One, two, three, four, $5. Even when I was a very poor student at the university of Alabama, I could scrap $5 if I really needed to. So I'm asking you to do this for the people of Ukraine. They need our help. So anyway, within 24 hours, we are able to raise more than $200,000 and we met the goal for 1 million dollars for people of Ukraine, then good for me increase that to 2 million. And we made that goal again. And now they are requested to 2.5 million. So I want us to raise as much money as we possibly can. And what I am asking if you would please go to, I believe, this is the one I showed before. This one. Tiny URL dot com give 5 Ukraine, right? Tiny URL dot com slash give 5 Ukraine list raise $2.5 million for them. And if I look on the LinkedIn site now, you are going to see I have a post again asking people to give $5 and if you click on it, you can donate with confidence. Your donation will be 100% tax deductible for you, right? And if anybody gives $5, I think we can literally change the world. I deliver we are really all in this together. Somebody said, right, the first they camp of the socialist. And I did not speak out because I was not a socialist. Then they camp of a trade unionist, and I did not speak out why, because I was not a unionist. But then they came for the Jews, and they not speak out. Why? Because I was not a Jew, but then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me. That was Martin nimoy, who said that. So I really believe as the world community we are all in this together. So I'm hoping you're going to take just a moment. Take 5 minutes, go to the Ukrainian front. You can look it up on Google. Make sure you go to the good family one. We are trying to raise $2.5 million and right now we've raised 2.1 million $4490, which is a lot. But we want to raise $400,000 more. And I think we can do it just give $5 again. That's all I am asking you to do. Let's help the people of Ukraine. Thank you. Thank you so much. This would be the shortest podcast in the season, but I believe this is very, very important..

If you're talking about liz cheney that's a ruling class republican you're right go list chaining I will say about this. I think that one of the things that is happening is that people are trying to be really clear about this. Not being a preventative. It is a really good resource after you have cove it and so. I think that the clarity is if you have the flu and you go in there in the first few days. They'll give you tam. Tam whatever right. So it's a really good litigator after you have it and i think there were a little worried that people think that it prevents. It doesn't prevent. It's after the other thing that hasn't had much until we should embrace that i agree with you does anything we can do to prevent the one little thing that i don't think we're talking about much is the expensive it it is. It is so if a if a vaccine costs the government twenty bucks this cost the government two thousand and so there is a risk benefit to the collective economy which we care about the deficit which we care about in in. This is true for anything. That's prevention versus post treatment. So this is not unique. But i will say that. This is an expensive albeit worthwhile if it saves a life but if you're weighing whether you think it is easier on the system and if you are a member of it up by your bootstraps make personal choices. The better personal choice is to get.

Well, we had to make a commitment back in February or March on that I had trace Atkins booked for Friday night and Chris Janson booked for Saturday. And at the time they were trying to figure out what they were doing with their tours, and they needed a commitment from us as to whether or not they were. They were booked. Let me back up a second. They were booked to play in 2020, and when we canceled the whole fair, we rolled the contracts forward to 2021 when they were wanting a commitment from us. The city was still at a 45% capacity on the indoor venues, reserve seats and we couldn't you know we couldn't make it. We couldn't cover expenses at 45% didn't know what was going to happen. Obviously. Going forward, But at that time we were strapped with a 45% capacity limit. As it turned out, the capacity limit had been lifted. And there are other shows that have taken place down now at the are scheduled to at the pay com Center. They did the Globetrotters with 100% capacity, the WWD roar. Draw with with full capacity and they've got some shows in September, but we didn't know when they were going to open it up. So subsequently we couldn't step out and and and commit to that. I'm not picking swimsuit or you nude was supposed to be lightning this one officer lightning round short. I'm only going toe dip and then we can talk about it some other time this For the church. Jesus christ of latter saints as well as many other religions There is this interesting conversation about a generation of kids who have a very different point of view on the lgbtq community than does churches. And it's not just the church but it was an interesting juxtaposition. Was the first time i have seen a leader in the mormon church. Be that specific. About the con- the conflicts and i say internal maybe our cognitive dissidence or whatever and it was interesting that he seemed to perpetuate the disciplines. He seemed to both say we love you. And we should fight against fundamentally who you are and again. I say that just without judgment but it is a very interesting cultural issue for again many traditional orthodox churches. I feel it's two steps forward one step back like there's so much room in the arms come open and then all of a sudden the arms close again right. Yeah so. I thought it was an interesting thing this week. I thought that it was There there there was a lot that happened he. If they said we want to convert all people's kids go people have been going crazy on that one too. That was a lose lose. there was no pathway. that wasn't offensive. I found his speech. My good news is teachers. Our great and that even with the ones that sometimes have a bad day. Don't usually have this kind of bad day. They have a parent bad day. Where you just need to take a break and and even sometimes when they opinions. That aren't held an. I'm don't think the kids are so simple fragile that they can't handle a little bit of it. Now i will say. I say that by way of the discussion because i think all of us agree that this teacher was abridged. I she went on and on and on their side. And so the clarity on this particular incident was there. But what i don't want is like my friend. Mr hughes did to us. This insides brought brushes. Let's all we got some concerns. I have no concerns about our teachers. They're great there's exceptions to every rule. There's exceptions in every professional population yet. But i'm i'm going to say the teachers are great. I'm going to say. I appreciate the action taken here. That was rather quiet in some ways and rather authoritative which is the rub with the education system that they can't get things done and they got it done and again. This teacher was unique. I don't think she should be held up. As a poster child for anything traditionally going on. I don't think there is a dark force trying to brainwash your children. I think the teachers are awesome. What's the odds. That people are so worried about what's being discussed in class. And then you have this. Come up. I mean i mean what a perfect storm. Stop watching the show. "Rags. We've playing live one to all right. And i i don't wanna talk trash about the unstudied people that are just there gambling right because they don't know any better right like they're just doing the best that they can using social proof but like if you know better. There's no excuse like if you know better than to open eight x you got no excuse to be opening eight x and also like so. I wanted to also talk about some of the things. Strategic advantages of opening two point five x especially in a live environment. Where you go you know you go to a flop six ways very often right and i think that this is less talked about like thinning. The field is like over prioritized. But like you know when you open two point five x a you can play more hands than when you open eight x like we just said are you should be anyway opening way more hands. If you take a flop six ways you know the pot is going to be reasonably large enough for you to get stacks in by the river when you flop huge and then when you don't find anything six ways will only invested two point five big blinds instead of eight so like you lose way smaller when you check fold and then on the flip side of that too like preform is where you know edges are going to be the smallest no matter what you open asking suited and you take a flop six ways like you're not gonna have that big of an edge over the field collectively but then on the flop you can realize much bigger edges when you flopped big right and so that's when you know you really wanna start putting lots of money in the pot pref- oppa mean. Obviously if you have aces that's one thing or kings. That's another thing but generally you know you have like tens or you have a screen suited or asking suited like you. Just you're not. You're not taking full advantage of the situation like you should be. Yeah i think so. I think you're i think all everything that we've talked about so far. I just wanna add assumes that we're playing in like a no rake game which is applicable from what i've heard too like the one two games in texas put your hand on the table which is applicable to the game in texas. Because they pay time rake so yeah you can't open to five dollars and presumably even go heads up to flop and it's fine if you're playing in california and you're playing whatever the lowest stakes cash being spread and casino is and they dropped five dollars instead of taking a rake or even a tie-break as soon as you get to the flop. I'm starting to think or not starting to think i know for a fact that if you play. Whatever optimal solved ranges from either munger or even pre fall bootcam- that ewell struggle to make money. Unless you're playing against really really really weak opposition. I like two and a half xing or even three xing pre flop just because of how much money gets taken out of the pot on flop. How does how would that change your to someone who's like not in texas is i have no idea. I don't know you're the rate police. You're the one that gives the the raked wisdom here. Not me okay. I think that opening larger sizes in drop games like the games that they have in california are is significantly more reasonable than no games or in time games. I think that because of the rate is so high. What the first thing. That incentivizes is playing a tighter range. If you win less money from every plot because the casino takes a huge chunk of it then you need to be way more selective about which hands you decide to enter the pot with because you need way stronger you you need to win significantly more often to make a profit the other thing that i think that would lead to is if you are opening a significantly tighter range. One of the things that i do think you can get away with is is opening larger. Probably not up to seven extra eight expert like we're x five x maybe is becomes or three extra five becomes much more viable if you're evening up the percentage of ends at your opening. Yeah i guess my advice to someone. Playing one to live in a proper really hiring environment would be to open larger than two and a half or three x not as largest seven x but significantly significantly. Tighten your age. I looked at a sim. I'll just give us an example. A nine hundred that simulated rake in by two five in vegas and what. The sim advocated for was versus an under the gun open. The big blind should be almost careful than as clean off suit. And i'm pretty sure nobody's doing that. So that's just an example of white owl tight. You are supposed to be playing in these games. You don't have to to make money for sure. And it's definitely not as wanted swing lots of hands but that would be what. The supercomputer says is optimal strategy. All right i'll take your word and the supercomputers word for it. The final thing that i want to ask. Is you know the bonus question that we haven't dived into yet in this. No rake environment. What do you think your strategy would be. If dylan's at your table where opening to fifteen at one to if people were just opening like a like a two and a half x. range for seven x like what would i do. Yeah like opening to like sixteen dollars pre flop with like an unreasonable range. I would play significantly tighter than like i. First of all. I probably wouldn't have any flats i think versus seven extra x. Well okay this is. Getting kind of this. Is getting pretty tricky. Because it's like well. I'm playing against like probably we competition so like maybe flagging is like not the end of the world but like let's say like this is online with no rake and people are like seven eight exiting. And we're one hundred big deep. I would probably play very very few flats and just play like a pretty strong range. Yeah not not looking to get out of line to very much at all versus like people who are putting so much money in you. Don't have to you you. You gain the ability to wait because the risking so much which means that you know you should just significantly tighten up the original question. In greenwich village was the original hand in question. Chris edit all that up the the original hand in question in greenwich village was as jack suited on the button versus an under. the gun. raised to fifteen dollars playing one to wales call. And then what should you're squeezing range be on the button there because the hero in question squeezed a shock suited And then got four bet and like lots of bad things happen after that. We don't need to discuss all that. Because i think that's that's not not ultra important. What's more important is like. What do you think. You're squeezing range would be there john on the button and plus probably and ace ace king students like ace king as king suited. I don't think i'd even squeeze as queen. I'd probably just flat tracksuited is suited. I think tens is actually pushing it. I would probably three but queens. Plus maybe maybe jacks but queens queens plus and then asking where you flat jackson's yeah. That's unreasonable. I think again like i said that like flat. You've probably shouldn't be flooding when people are opening so large. But i think again that changes when it goes open. Call call and you're getting a really good price with a really noted a really nice nut had had like as jack of hearts. Sure you're gonna make money by flagging. They're like surprised that you wouldn't three. But even jack's that's that seems a little tight to me but well. The original question said that the player that opened onto the gun was like they seemed like a reasonable player. Oh okay yeah.

"Of funny pre flop thing that happens in live poker so the main question here is why do people or the pool. That plays live one two. Why do they raise to such a large size. Why they opened seven eight x we briefly touched on one of the reasons that commonly quoted. And that's the in the field so that you're playing against your players instead of going massively multi way every time you said that you actually had a like a story or an experiment. That you think illustrates why people why everyone that opens such a massive size low six cash. Yes so as a social experiment. I believe it was in the seventies or the eighties and basically the experiment was stay. Locked ten monkeys in a room. That had a ladder and at the top of the ladder. I can't remember exactly what it was or call it a banana. Just because monkeys like bananas so they have a banana at the top of the ladder and the first monkey that ran up the ladder to get the banana pressured water fired on the monkeys in the room and the second time a monkey ran to get a banana pressured water soaked all the monkeys in the room so it didn't take very long for them to figure out like y'all don't go up that ladder right and so what what the researchers did was they one by one. They took one monkey out. Replace it with a brand new monkey that had never had never gotten soaked at had never had the downside to going for the banana and it would scale the ladder to get an all the other monkeys would grab it and pull it down. They would they would not let it. Climb the ladder right and over time. They replaced all of the monkeys that had been soaked by water with brand new monkeys that had never experienced downside of going up the ladder but the brand new monkeys to a monkey would grab a newcomer as it climbed the ladder and pull it down despite never getting the negative consequence just because that was what all the other monkeys were doing right and so that to me is always been like a great metaphor for why you know a lot of especially old school type strategies and poker but more specifically preform poker Just y like yeah you gotta monkey. That's opening eight x and then you're like. Oh what does that monkey no. It must know something that. I don't know so i'm just gonna open eight x two because all the other monkeys are doing it. Yeah i think. That's i think that's a lot of what's happening here. I think in cash you know like a kind of an addition to like your story that i think is adds even more humor to the situation. Is that like when the first one to game. I asked this to you when the first one game opens in the casino for the day and everybody sits down for a new game. Like how does the first guy decide. What what size he wants to open to and like how does he land on sixteen x sixteen dollars eight x there. Wasn't anybody opening to begin with but that's very still very likely the size that they probably land on and it's just i don't know it's kind of funny. How like even without seeing other people do it. That a lot of people just seem to land on really really really big open sizes. Yeah i mean it's like if everybody opened like sixteen all day long and four new players sat down and they all started opening to ten. I guarantee you. Everybody would be opening to ten like within two hours. It would just like change mystically right like these guys opening to ten. They must know something. I'm going to change right. And what i find. The saddest part about this is like you have well intentioned. Well studied poker players. That will sometimes sit down in these games and start opening to eight x like just because everybody else is doing it. Just i mean. I think that's. That's if if we had like a follow up till like this question it would just be me asking people who play live cash. Add like are no regular. Seven x eight x openers. Why do you raise that size. You have like a good strategic reason for landing on that number or are you doing it because you want to fit in and it's uncomfortable to draw attention to yourself by opening really smaller really bigger or no some some nonstandard number another great question to pose the opposite right of like if this were online and not in the live environment right and you had somebody opening eight x pre like four people at your online table. Would you start opening eight x as well just like the other players are doing it right or would you just like capitalize and print money. Because they're risking way more than they should with very inappropriate hands. Yeah actually thought of like a funny analogy for this similar to like your monkey experiments story i play a lot of basketball and one of the one of the now that i thought this was imagine you went to the rec center to play some hoops. And let's say there's let's say there's money on this game to mission similar to poker there's actually something to win and you notice that everybody in the rec center. The only shots they took were half court shots and people were like breaking them and just firing them up. Would you also shoot half court shots. Like only half court shots because you want to fit in and that's what everyone else is doing or would you just take everyone's money by buying normal basketball and making lay ups and not growing a bombs and that's essentially what people i think that's essentially what live cash players are doing. They're saying like well. This is not how i play online. This is not how the professionals that i watched who play like really high stakes cash or these are not the is that they open to. But that's what's happening here. So i guess i'm just going to jack up these shorts instead of doing my best to win. Money playing strategically sound or more strategically sound strategy than i mean. What a most disappointed in are the people that ought to know better because like it is part of our like basic human biology to use social proof to our advantage right i. I've i read other studies. About how like they found these massive pileups. That happened when like a bunch of cars starts swerving all at the same time. And sometimes it's just the car in front of you. Changes lanes to the middle and for very quickly and like you assume that they're doing it for a specific reason right and so you change and then the person behind you changes lanes and then you've got a bunch of people doing a dangerous thing for no reason at all just because the person in front of them did something dangerous and i think the like most of the time if somebody swerves in front of you. There's a reason right so like there's a reason why need to get out of the way because there's something in the road and it's beneficial but like it's never a good reason in like a tactical environment like poker to just do something because all the other people are doing it because like the reality is doing things differently than your opponents is like where you get your edge from. Yeah so like you want to play as bad as them and win money. No you play differently than them so that you win money right like that's where the edges but live poker become you know it just becomes very tempting see people that like otherwise would never even consider doing something like over limping jackson off just over limping jackson off because like other people are doing it. So like okay cool. Let's just fit in like one thing i'd add onto that too is like when you look around the live one to table like are those types of players that you want to resemble like. Is that who you marry your strategy against the average brek or even.

I'd be happy <Speech_Male> to email to anybody <Speech_Male> for free. <Speech_Male> You can just <Speech_Male> send me an email. <Speech_Male> Chip at maximum <Speech_Male> adviser dot <Speech_Male> com is <Speech_Male> called leap before <Speech_Male> you look and <Speech_Male> it's my very <Speech_Male> brief about fifty <Speech_Male> pages is <Speech_Male> my story of <Speech_Male> love kind of <Speech_Male> growing and scaling <Speech_Male> the <Speech_Male> business. So it's a <Speech_Male> little more biopic <Speech_Male> in that. How did <Speech_Male> you go from sixth grade <Speech_Male> teacher. And <Speech_Male> then i've got another one on <Speech_Male> the basis method. <Speech_Male> That'll be coming out <Speech_Male> soon. Call <Speech_Male> get more assets. <Speech_Male> So i mean <Speech_Male> who don't want to do that <Speech_Male> all ourselves. He <Speech_Male> did a great job. <Speech_Male> Rate interviewer. <Silence> because here's the thing everybody. <Speech_Male> I <Speech_Male> think one of the one of the things <Speech_Male> that you can tell just from <Speech_Male> hearing him <Speech_Male> speak is one <Speech_Male> he cares into. He <Speech_Male> listens <Speech_Male> and those are two things <Speech_Male> that i think. A lot of us <Speech_Male> really are skills that we've <Silence> forgotten <Speech_Male> especially <Speech_Male> the listening component. <Speech_Male> When you <Speech_Male> know that somebody is <Speech_Male> genuinely <Speech_Male> listening <Speech_Male> and cares about what <Silence> you have to say. <Speech_Male> I <Speech_Male> think that changes the game <Speech_Male> and not only <Speech_Male> is that something. That <Speech_Male> chip does with his <Speech_Male> podcast. But i've met <Speech_Male> some of his team members <Speech_Male> now they say <Speech_Male> the same thing <Speech_Male> and it's just <Speech_Male> it's nice to be surrounded <Speech_Male> by people <Speech_Male> like chips or chip. It's a little <Speech_Male> bit different of an audience.
