Be a par- these machines and after a center I remember that which matters. We still let us make them remember off still on a peer just relatively concerned but not so much by you know the illness you know that whose name cannot be spoken on. Youtube. You know this is. That's one thing I watch I I was gone working on the bus. I come back. I hear all this and we'd never really been countered name anything but I get back in. I want to get caught up on some of by Youtube. Channels that I like you know. They're building this house. In this couples doing that and how do concrete and Air Crete and this thing and that thing and the poxy of whatever. They'll you know so I get in and I'm starting to watch this and all of a sudden they're they they can't say you know the virus or co vedder nineteen or corona or something like that. They know the the illness which shall not be spoken kind of thing. I'm like what are they talking about? You'RE GONNA look back in history or your your later. You get caught up on these videos and you can go to hell. Are they talking about? They get demonetized if they have an opinion or talk about anything and I'm going. Wow Wow this is. It's new speak. This is one thousand nine hundred four stuff and I mean you could see all they have to do is have the incentives right. I. I'm I wanted to play. I know where we left off. I'm just going to play a little bit of Dell saying here just to get us going. I want to hear some more what he has to say. These are the real documents and so now I WANNA talk about human nature. I wanted to discuss you know. What is this going to do to our numbers because if as we're hearing a great question? Are you saying there's going to be ninety thousand deaths in the next week? Is that really what we're going to see? And by the way it's not just mainstream media that's reporting this incredible rise. There are very dramatic predictions by people in social media some even in the natural health movement. They're saying bodybags are piling up. Thousands and thousands of people are going to be dying. But that's always been true. Thousands and thousands of people are always dying in America. Six hundred fifty five thousand back from heart disease or one hundred sixty thousand from respiratory issues ninety thousand from diabetes. You know we went through it. Those are all deaths that are happening right now Z. Speaks to at any given moment. You could say look at the bodies piling up right but what does this mean for us? Let's go back and look at this chart one more time in New York. Can we bring up the chart that we got out of New York? Just so reminds people that. Remember if you're a doctor now and you're in one of these hospitals you know zero four nine one four. Those are the people that actually only have are dying Kobe. Nineteen those are the ones you would've been sure to put on the certificate but all those the seventy five over with four hundred thirty one underlying conditions two hundred fifty seven underlying conditions. This document is telling you go ahead. Listen to and why would that be important? Imagine what's going on if you're watching news. You know that there's some argument that there's a lot of fighting going on between governors that are all bidding on the same respiratory equipment and masks and things like that funding's going out to all these different hospitals and even Donald Trump is saying look. Yeah we being blamed. You're holding onto the respiratory equipment. He says you're right. I am because I need to see where the crisis is happening. We can't send a bunch of you know respirators and materials over to someone that doesn't have a crisis when it ends up being over here and then how do we get it back. It makes perfect sense. But now imagine you're a governor of the state of Texas or the State of Michigan or somewhere else you don't want to be. The state didn't have enough equipment if this virus ends up being what Neil Ferguson? Had you know exaggerated it to be? You don't WanNa be the one holding bagging by the way. If you're the head of a hospital do you want to be the one that came up short on on respirators or on drugs or on queen or any of these things no you do? Not so when the president of the United States and the CDC is telling you look. We're going to give the equipment to those in need those in crisis. What do you do you tell your staff? We need to show a crisis whether or not it's happening now. We don't want to be left. Yeah that's what I feel is coming on you know. Did the incentive spur patent? These numbers is is. Is there a and we're talking zillions of dollars and I'm wondering if it's by design intent you know plan is planned? Democ is is. I'm I'm thinking as we're in the middle of it. It's hard for a lot of people to come out and say what I'm saying. What Dell owner? What we're talking about and and I understand that but that's been I don't know I don't know when that hasn't been my position throughout time. It's like they're lying. Well how do you know because they're politicians lips moving? That's why I just. The incentives are stop. And that's why. I just like living in a relatively rich opportunistic. Free Country to win this started. I got an oxygen generator. I got a six liters minute of oxygen split it into two and Donna number because I wanted to know what are they going to do for me if I go to the hospital? They're gonNA give you oxygen. They're going to give you an IV maybe vitamin C. Or something like that. And that's about it you know try and keep you from Oregon. Tell your oxygen depletion of your web web web Blah Blah so I go when it gets that bad. I'm going to be back on the line and or like you know. Yeah getting line. You know I'll get an oxygen generator. I'll get oxygen sensor blood. Saturation thing on your finger. You know. Thirty seconds five seconds. It tells you you know what you're at so okay so I need more oxygen or not and then We have issues that now. I gotta learn how to give. Iv nurse friends. And someone's GONNA show us. I'll do that right. Watch a youtube you know. But and then antivirals Zeke. Loyal Silver. Did when I went a few weeks ago when I went to the main I I was. I was feeling that comment. You know you get Kinda achey headache. I up. Here comes little sore throat coach. I'm spraying atomization of silver doing zinc oil oregano account. And it goes way. No know it didn't it. Didn't quite take hold. It didn't and so I may have already had it for all I know but it's prevention. It's your own treatment. There's a whole bunch of grandma said stuff. Well I'M I. I like being in a free society where I have these options and a free flow of information. Tell me what I can. And they're like no. You're not allowed to talk about that. What are you doing James? Is there some kind of regimen? You got well you mean as far as you know. Health precautions. Well you're looking some frog. I mean you know what you know when I when I go to the gas station. I've got some. I've got some Lysol wipes with me in the truck and I wiped down. Whatever I'm touching that other people are -tection never you know is that I was. I was a little bit of a Germaphobe before anyway but now I'm just yeah you're Mr Pure L. I forgot about that. What no not. I thought you always had a little bottle sanitizer. Something not always. But I wouldn't mind it. Used to be when the kids were younger. Kids going to school. They're always coming back with something and see my nieces and nephews and they've got their own bunch of germs from their school. You know it's like you know sometimes your lifestyle just put you in contact with a lot of germs. And then yeah you should have some sanitize you know. This is one thing I looked at. I doing a show back in Bangor. And and one of the Friends Derek. Activists Air came in and we sat down. And we're doing the interview any brought a roll of toilet paper pure Al and something else. I mean you know. He just had a little pack. And we're looking at the Pierre L. The active ingredient is ethyl alcohol. It's Moonshine I'm going to hell. That's why the vodka company goes now. Stop thinking about boats and don't use our vodka for hand sanitizer or just saying you know go. And he James Bob we're just GONNA. We're just GONNA muddle through. We'll go through the headlines and see what's up when we come back feeling confused about the current economic reports that dominate the headlines. To me an activist is calling is to actively work to advance cause the cause for which I work is personal freedom. I believe my life is best when I engage in voluntary interruptions and self-government. I reject the idea that anyone else has a higher claim to my life or my body than I do. I see people who called themselves the government as a threat to my personal freedom. I realize you may feel differently but my relationship with the people who call themselves. The government is completely involuntary if starbucks used some of its money to drop bombs. I wouldn't shop there. So why would I support the American Empire? The empire does not require by consent. All right March jobs disaster seven hundred and one thousand jobs. Lost unemployment rate soars most in forty five years. Let me tell you one thing that comes along with that death. There's some death that goes along with this. This is debt held just suicide. I mean you know whatever you take away and you're not allowed eating. L. Stuff you know but there's GonNa be some other. There's going to be some other ramifications of this families. Get CLOSE. They get out of school. Yeah it's the best thing this whole damn thing is. They closed the schools. Yeah really that's saw fun onion headline it was like you know. Teachers were worried that if they don't get back to school soon students will think for themselves. I think it's GonNa there's GonNa be a lot of ramifications of this. I know yeah. A lot of people and also corporate America to people are finding out. They didn't have to go to their stupid corporate job. They could work from home. Do their whole eight hour job in about two hours without all the the office B. S. Or THEY JUST START. Learning that live in smaller and kind of you know might be appeal by RV. Get on the road again and kind of move somewhere and out in the middle of the lone prairie in solar cheap. Now so it's that was another thing last night I came across they have. It's called a diesel heater and somehow uses diesel fuel to be a space heater. You know and you got a little. You know five liter tank or just runs off your car. What it's made for is these truckers that just pull diesel off of there and they pull off to the side need a heater. Go to sleep or something you know. And they're just a it's a size of like a PC desktop computer and it burns in. He didn't invent it and and it's really efficient. I'm going wow that's cool. Then you had the solar power this and you had to battle the battle. Born lithium iron phosphate battery Blah Blah Blah. That and you got all the sudden. I don't need all your crap anymore. You know you've got an RV. How how many months out of the year if you spend your RV a couple months and the and the summer. I'm looking forward to more months in this summer camping but I'm just hoping there somewhere I'm allowed to go. I'm just hoping there's a highway. I can drive down without a checkpoint. You know I'm GonNa find us another thing I got you know. It's not if I got enough guns. It's like what am I gonNa do with all my guns. I mean I don't have a billion you know compared to like Montana but I mean I got enough I could have one securely put in where it's accessible of whatever different options or something on my bus so what's the law you know I had Ellen Corwin gun laws dot com on. He wasn't much help. I got my book but you know it. Sound in a post corona virus world. They're going to. You're on the road gale. Gets you Ernie and you know. So what am I supposed to do? I can't go through New York and get New England. I don't know just remained silent. Don't talk to anybody don't slowdown. What was that one movie The Gauntlet would Clint Eastwood the Gauntlet. It was built in Phoenix and it was about a bus. Just busting through everything. You know we do that. The Oh tripping. That was the name of the movie it was called tripping and it was the beginning of the psychedelic movement and early sixties. They did a bus across the you know one of the listener. Scott Neal said that to me and I hadn't even finished watching. I wanted to watch it with Donna. And we haven't had time but I. It was a bus trip across the country year right before. And then Kennedy got shot while they're on the road and what happened there but I'm really looking forward to watch it. I watch like a third of it and it was really cool that mindset. I think this is a really good time. Who else do you want on the road? You know you know. Go the love bus. You see my point with all of the the communication ability streaming recording of what this is going to be documentation of. What's going on now? I go in May. I'm like you know I remember one time Laura Laurie Canario She was part of the Kilo. Seven or something you know and they were doing the imminent domain. Cute the Kilo where they said we can take imminent domain because it gives more tax money on like what? So that started out thing across the country and here in Arizona changes constitutional laws and so on but Beauce of imminent domain is super justice. And all that well. She was moved to New Hampshire where they got idea yourself and she goes no I. Don't yeah you do. I don't and then of course they knew she was needed to capitulate so she just went limp. Put me in jail and she there for weeks months you know. Just I'm not plane and eventually in New Hampshire. The constitution says you have a right to rebellion. And he goes. Well what do you think this is what you want her to get a gun? He has an idea or self. How'd you manifested itself? She has a right or not. So I'm like I'm going so we were getting ready. Get the airline ticket. They let her out. I'm like damn it Mr by that much. So I'm just going if I get on the road by mid-may and your early May and I get on the road. And they stopped the lockdown. I'll be like a dinner. I missed it by that much. You know so. Do I want it locked down or not. I mean I just you don't see I. I'm silver lining either way. You know I I'd prefer not you know but they do. I'm like all right. We'll make him say it. I want to know that we're going to videotape every. Stop every every everything you know I wanna I wanNA know what's up don't you? I WanNa know I kind of feel the same way we had. We had a Finally got some good About three weeks ago we got information about a police checkpoint in the area like they just announced exactly when away. This checkpoint was going to be more like yes finally. We got our schedule Dr. My friend eighth and we're like we made some extra reflective signs like we're we're ready because it's it's rare to get this kind of advance notice so we're like all right we're going to. We're going to mess up this checkpoint up and it's canceled due to corona virus or no. No Yeah Yeah. We want to cancel. We don't want to check. I know it's so so it's confusing. There's don't worry they will be enough checkpoints in the world. Ernie there will be no. This is what we have to have to hope that. There's more I want. I want to show you guys something here. Here's will the 401K's be nationalized. Bumper hornberger did a thing on this. You know of course. They are one way or another. You know all the pensions are gone. That's where the money is. You think that's going to happen. United Nations proposes a new global currency. Well of course they did. You know what would you think is? GonNa Happen after. I thought that was sort of like years ago. I mean they're always proposing this stuff up as new their proposed proposal proposals. I mean until they get. Everything's back on the table. It's like are you scared enough now to do it. You weren't before but maybe now Doug Casey on the disturbing trend tax savings and eliminate cash. You know now of course because because they can you know so and they'll say well those dollars might be spreading the germs and everyone was like well okay. He said it so dirty money. Hand Cop Welcome back to declare your independence James Banned from Philadelphia Days Babs You know these guys head on shoulders. He's got you know so but everybody all of us are affected by this. I I probably less so because I just don't spend time on facebook. I don't I just see it as brain damage you know and the more people spend time on facebook more. Their their minds are warped. In my opinion I think what is is facebook the communication of truth or or emotion or peer pressure or what is facebook I mean you use it a lot. What does it to you? James ultimatum mostly means I mean and people making you know I can get my news through means just based on the commentary. I can sort of like piece together the world based on. What's coming through but you know it's a means of communication. It's whatever you make of it right. It's not you know some people. I'm sure it's it's cat photo. Some people it's it's recipes however you choose the group of people that you're that are feeding into your news feed will determine your experience but I don't pretend it's going to be on unfiltered by the duck duck is do what he can to make sure that certain news articles or popular or unpopular. Or whatever. I don't care if you just go into it knowing Matt. Right and same with you too. I can get a lot out of youtube but I also know that my I'm going to just watch whatever they want to show me that you might not be what I wanna see but I can still describe where I want. You got a a friend of mine does memes every day this one. It says you know gas is about a dollar fifty nine molitor back Walmart closing at night. I think we time we're back to one thousand nine hundred ninety one so it's just a lot of cute stuff the owned make you think but Let's talk about the the retirement. What do you think is GonNa because that was one thing I kept bringing up I go? You're going to have where the state and the local municipal police firemen Whatever pensions are way underfunded? They spend all that money on the promise. You're going to get yours at six. Eight per cent return on forever of whatever the heck and AAA bonds and stuff. That they'll never go down triple A. and so now happened before nine. Eleven whatever eight eleven and then they kinda recover nee pumped it back up and everything and it's gone and it's gone. So what do you think they're going to promise her? Do a restructure now because the promise to all these people support government that were in government of the government. Vote for government. And it's gone and they're not gonna just like well that didn't work out. I guess we should let people keep their money. What do you think's going to happen anytime? You've got a pot of money. They want it right. That's skipped right if there's something of value they're coming after it okay. So we've been hearing about nationalized 401K's for year after year after year. They're always trying to do it. You know what you said earlier one way or another. They're coming for it now. I could probably explain all the different methods they have better. I don't know if they need to to go to the extreme of of actually seizing your 401k. And saying it's ours. Now when they can you know when we're seeing trillions of dollars being generated by the Federal Reserve being panned out and and just quantities to to Wall Street that we've never seen before they're taking all this money. They're buying back their own stocks. They're inflating the prices of stocks. Like somehow this money's GonNa be shifted from people that were saving for their retirement and the people that you know that WanNa rule you and that have other plans for that money. I don't know which way they're going to do it. But we come for so a little precious. Metals some CRYPTO. Some some cash. Some lands some. Sometimes you don't if you have all your money in your in your 401k. That's probably a precarious position to be in. You know one thing. I want to show this graphic you know it's GonNa be difficult for Ucla over to the the stream but it has it you know. What do they call them? Ben Diagrams. What do you call those circles? Overlapping Circles. Y'All kind of thing and here and watch this and it goes one thousand nine hundred eighty four Fahrenheit four fifty one brave new world a handmaid's tale and then in there you got like Charlotte Green Animal Farm Logan's run Brazil Gatica the Matrix Clockwork Orange Lord of the flies and Aero kind of overlapping. And you're here in the middle of it. Okay and I'm going. There is people. They asked me they go well. I don't understand. They're so far behind and they're so clueless. What's going on Sean going? Okay if you really want to know kind of getting a bead on what's happening in the manipulation whatever watch network from one thousand nine hundred seventy six mad as hell not gonNA take it anymore. Because at the end of that it's explained to the character you have messed with the primordial forces of you know the. Who controls the world of the money of? You're doing it wrong okay. So that whole movie built up a how the world really works from seventy six seventy seven Faye dunaway. Back in the day. Then you go to Wag The dog the data and the big short. I mean you watch those and you go. That's pretty much it. V for Vendetta was about a pandemic. That's what that whole thing was about the knows how they did exactly what they're doing now. It's like they took a script they go watch this. Oh and we'll make a bunch of money in on the cure. So I'm I I'm telling you James. I'm ready to a couple of weeks ago. I just ready to call. Bs on the whole thing. I go I'm I'm willing to call bs on early. You're crazy you're crazy man you crazy. I'm going yeah but I you know when is when is this not been the result of this kind of hysteria? They get more money in control. I mean I think it's I think it's true. The plane hit the towers. You know there. There's a sign there. You gotTa have something what happens afterwards is well. I expected sort of I expected a huge government backlash after nine. Eleven right even back then I kind of you know is enough of a libertarian. To know like all right this is GONNA get bad. I don't think I anticipated like how far the TSA would go or how long the wars would would go or whatever we imagined at least for me. It's even worse and I'm trying to like well. What am I imagining now? And how much worse can that be? Man Hears about pre goes these. Shutdown businesses are now laying off workers. Millions of workers shut down businesses and unemployment unemployed workers a lot less income tax revenue for the federal government yet at the same time the federal government unlike the private sector is maintaining its current level expenditures. That's because everyone everyone's on the Dole including the military seniors. Big corporations are absolutely insistent that their Dole and bail out money continued during the crisis. So what has the federal government done response to the corona virus crisis to Degrade Glee and celebration of the mainstream press? It has decreed a two trillion dollar stimulus package which is more common which entails having the federal government send small checks to individuals and extremely large checks to big corporations and businesses. The stimulus money. Of course hardly anyone is asking the obvious question. Given that the federal government was already spending one trillion more than what it was bringing in how in the world is at now spending another two trillion dollars. Did the federal government have stash of cash on under its bed. You know they're just making it up and you know it depletes value of what you've got they're going to take it from somewhere else has social security doesn't have any money in it. You know this is you know I had. We had a party a week ago. Saturday and people are gonNA cancelled now. I'm not you don't WanNa come. Don't come so they came. A few dozen people came. And but I tell you the people. I've been telling people on the air here. Something that kind of surprised me. It was a lot of old friends and so on that were professionals doctors lawyers. Dennis you know Had their own businesses and they really wanted to talk about whether this is what I had been talking about. All these years is this. This is it. They're closing. They can't keep their businesses open. They close down for a couple of months. I needed to have a laser to plastic surgeon. Friend of mine. I go before I go on this trip. I got this little dark spot and he goes. We're closed from the second letter of Captain Mark. We need to move funds. Further faster cheaper and without third party observation basing decisions on an accelerating flow of information so pirates require nearly instantaneous transactions with no arbitrary limits on volume or artificial influences on fees most importantly a pirate currency must preclude centralization otherwise it will become another link in our chain to the crown a superior currency will result in the obsolescence of the coin of the realm and the extinction of the crown itself. Oh you know it's a freaking Ernie again damn earniers. Ernie be earning so I'm just going. Yep Yep Yep Bernie Ernie but a lot of the stuff that has always been this kind of freedoms e answer. What's two question will mark would be always? Yeah but what about what about what about what about what about today? We have also Naomi Lopez are all from the Goldwater Institute. We're GONNA talk about the corona virus in his consequences on policy response. Public healthy economy daily life. Arizona has always been kind of different. A lot of it probably stemmed from lava activism and so on in the ninety S. We were like questioned all this crap. We're like now now now split it to me. And of course libertarian candidates. We would get probably more than most states. We'd be involved in the debates. We'd because we're rubel heads about it and we put up a lot of signs we so we got into got to have our say now a lot of times the press. Be Crazy Libertarian. Crazy crazy all of a sudden they start to find out that you weren't that crazy and people were a lot more supportive of it so we create a parade on whatever issue. Was your freedom of someone you know drug freedom gun freedom freedom freedom property rights taxes freedom freedom and then all of a sudden. There's some Republican. Maybe Democrat. Run. Jump in front of that parade and pick me pick me. I'm for the Freedom Guy and whenever we'd run two years later they'd be saying the same stuff we were saying. I go a rat. It's general public opinion thing when you get the public behind her a concept that you can't undo it. How do you unlearn the truth? Arizona has been a little bit different but we got the Calif- occasion of being you know invaded by the mindset of the oil from places. But I've been pretty happy with you. Know the mindset from the government that you know that okay. It's not about that. That was just a mechanism for us to get to the minds of the people. Then the internet hit premiums Phoenix was a concept in our heads back in ninety six. When video hit the Internet we hit hard. No five for Phoenix has got like four hundred thousand headlines just a nice little archive. They're all this stuff as that's why you see early. I can't read fifty seventy headlines. Day when I go. That's not why it's there. I mean yeah you can go through it and you get but it's the archive. It's all what they did. Now we got interplanetary file sharing permanent record of and it's never going away so F. Y. I. Mark whatever you say is forever and always is not going anywhere so I just want you know all right. So let's go ahead and do a little introduction here Mark Platinum Goldwater Institute's National Investigative Reporter. He's reported extensively on how bureaucratic procedures and overcaution at the US. Food and Drug Administration can end up costing more lives and it saves and he's written today about seeking a corona virus cure instead of a regulatory stamp of approval. He can speak about why happens and innovative new treatments and on so we got that from mark. That's cool now. We have Naomi Lopez's director of health care policy at the Goldwater Institute. She has written about the role of Telemedicine. Compla- in treating potential corona virus cases. And how to much regulatory red tape has kept public and private testing kits. Labs from being used early in the crisis. She also talked about Effect on public health. Now this is Kind of boil down to my bumper sticker. Freedom's answer what's the freaking question and whatever is going on now I'm not feeling free. You know they start off for us will you please. The lockdowns is a good idea or not. Well I actually work in the area of health care policy and are not an expert epidemiology. I do think that we're going to see hotspots demerge over time and I think that You know a measured response makes a lot of sense. As soon as testing becomes more widely available. I do think that you will see state loosened the requirements that are currently in place testing. I haven't seen any that. They're really accurate. I have experts on saying these tests or B. S. They're either doing it wrong or they tell you the wrong thing you know. They're not giving what you really need. Is You have to test for the antibodies. Either they have it or their immune or not and I'm going okay. Well where's these? It's like every time I scratched the surface or get some expert on. They're going Nah. That's not it's all theater I don't have. We seen theater like this before mark. I mean you know how you feel in a legitimate real accurate depiction of what's going on in the base response on well what what seems to be happening. Just Kinda Bill. What Naomi said is what we have is is hot spots in the country Clearly New York is is in meltdown. They're having that's where I don't know what is it. Almost half of the of the problem exists. We're seeing hot spots in New Orleans. We're saying we saw one earlier in Seattle but We don't necessarily see a nationwide Crisis on our hands and I think that's the difference that we get is near you. Approach Public Health Emergency Nationally or do you approach it locally and I think that's what people are struggling with You know nine parallels to nine eleven terrorist attacks on nine eleven in New York. Dc and in Pennsylvania. That doesn't mean al Qaeda was done on for folks in Laramie Wyoming so our response to nine. Eleven was different. And there's an argument to be made that maybe the response here doesn't have to be one-size-fits-all what's needed in. New York is not necessarily needed in rural Idaho or Montana or in Phoenix Arizona. For that matter we had that blaze onto Ridge the Homeland Security Guy here and I can't remember his name anyway. He came on my show. You know I was when I was tearing radio downtown. And he came on the show they were talking about his win the Polygon and then there were searching all the cars trucks going in the sky. Harbor remember that shutdown freaked out. You know well. He building up to that he come. Oh Yeah we got terrorists right here in River City. I mean terrorists and he was talking about In Miami and they're getting ready to shut down the whole country because they had some kind of Miami. I'm going what does Seattle give a crap? What's happened in Miami? How is you're not allowed to ask that question? You know what I mean. It was just a global response to any excuse anywhere and I see the same thing here and when we look at starting to be citizens or starting to go out with their camera phones and they go to the hospitals in New York. Last couple of days empty empty empty empty empty. You go to the Mercy Care County. Whatever it's Busier. There's not this dead bodies lying lined up like cordwood. You know that they're talking about. I mean if there is there is I mean we're gonNA know now of course. I have some CNN picture of Inter frigerator truck kind of thing. But we'll get the numbers. We'll start to see all these tens of thousands all of a sudden you're seeing. Nobody died from heart disease. Nobody died from diabetes for a certain amount of time they're all code for the cove in nineteen. So I'm I'm where are you looking for is it? Is Echo Chamber media? You're seeing what's on Fox and CNN MSNBC or is there some other metric you're looking at well for me. What what. I'm I guess looking at his once. We start getting more than how much of this is. What we really don't know number. Now we act like we do but we're really don't An epidemiologist talking on the other day about the death rate Italy They have yeah. We're going into break. This is a good thing to pick up when we come back. Where are we getting our information? We're GONNA find from the six letter of captain. Kill him In some cases we don't know that certainly the corona virus didn't help but right now we just don't know we we think we've got some got know direction but until like you say unless you test everyone in the world which is not going to happen. We're not going to know what the real numbers are. It's it's clear that this is a very very Received how dangerous I guess. We really don't know what this young kingdom they started off with. We're just going to everybody. You know. Be Polite and we'll get hurt immunity by surviving it and keep calm and carry on kind of thing and then all of a sudden they got the memo Hail No. You're not allowed to do that. So it is required frenzy. And I've been through this before I'm old enough. I mean you remember me when I was you know thirty year kid you know and and my opinion has not changed since then it is same. They're lying because their lips are moving and I'm just I I can't keep track of how many times I've been lied to. You know it's my lifetime it's hell even JFK RFK Martin Luther King Watergate OPEC Crap Iran Contra Ruby Ridge Waco Oklahoma City nine eleven dot com bubble's. Snl scamming can't even keep track. The big short means every single time. They're lying sack snot. And on Feverish Phoenix. We have uncovering the secrets and exposing the lies. That was the slogan that came to Mahgoub Governor secret service posing allies or Ernie. Let me give you one example In what I've been writing about is This this whole issue of whether chloroquine or hydrochloric when is an effective treatment against corona virus. Back is we don't know but what you see from a lot of folks in the in the coffee and regulatory community is a phrase. That's not a proven treatment and there's no proof that it works. Well you got to understand where that's coming from. It's not a proven treatment because the FDA has not said it's a proven treatment whether it works or not as an entirely different issue in the FDA's world if a drug and we still don't know if we're GONNA cure this but in the FDA's world if a medicine cure someone were substantially reduces the sentence that's considered anecdotal evidence. It doesn't really mean anything. It doesn't mean anything until they've done Widespread Statistical Studies on a control group of test patients. Which could take years and the problem is yes. They're right it's not proven that doesn't mean that it does or doesn't work it just means that the FDA has put their stamp of approval on it. We don't have five years to find out Through these statistical studies a whether this is going to be freedom comes in. I have the freedom to try. I saw a lot because I don't care I don't believe anything but there was one exchange to where trump gets up there and he goes. It's got you know some doctors they gave. You should try it. What the heck try it give it a try. What what and in Anthony Thou- CI which. I have a lot of doctors and specialists. Come on and they anthony FAUCI man. He's been scumbag since eighty four. Doing this kind of crap for the deep state of whatever okay so they got all kinds of bad things about him but he gets up there and he's going to shut up. You know timeline is. The virus is not yours and we kind of this is only anecdotal. And we'RE NOT GONNA. He's just taken away my freedom to try any. That's that's not exactly what Dr Franchi's said what Dr Franchi said is it may work. It hasn't been scientifically proven. Those two things are not mutually exclusive. And he he he did make that point that yes. It's entirely possible that that is not the first day he was definitely meant. Hell no hell the first days. He was the pressure came days later even after he was not up on the podium anymore for a couple of days like I could kick your butt off a conflict. It in it doesn't work with. It's not proven scientifically Those are not mutually exclusive. Something an work and just not having been run through statistical studies so those those are two different questions whether it's an effective treatment or not. That's something we need to find out today. Why that's not even my point. That's why I always say you know. Freedom's answer what's the question. Do I have the freedom to ingest in put Freakin clorox in my nose? If I want to I mean this is I. And that's where it comes down to You need a central plan of. You're not allowed to have. We got a decision for you. You know I'm I mean and this is what you were writing about. This is the very thing you know the right to try a goldwater thing. They're the right to try. You know so. Tell us about that well. Essentially in normal times before we get to The covert nineteen outbreak. What we had is. We had people that were dying of diseases. Cancer Kills Them. Roughly half the people every year in this country So if you're in stage four cancer there are no And for a particular for certain types of cancer there is no treatment available. It's basically you know. Tell your loved ones goodbye. We'll hook you up to an IV tubing. And you'RE GONNA DIE. Pretty right to try says is you've got a medication that is in development. It's been proven safe. They're good reason to think that it's GonNa be effective but it hasn't gone through the bureaucracy and paperwork of the SBA let's Let's allow people start using that Friedman Because it might say their lives and might not. But let's find out all regulatory Paperwork doesn't really determine whether this is going to save from one that's just the concept of pride is running the five years for the FBI who they're basically two types of advertising direct response and branding radios great for direct response with its low cost to listener ratio audio. If I want your to me it's the same thing Ernest Go Sammer back. We blew through the break. Because you know the accurate mark. So Mark Flatten as a skated reporter. That I've known for thirty years here in Arizona. He covered a lot of Arizona politics and so on and now he's over at the water is to research for them and Yeah Matt had problems with his computer. Come on and they only dropped off so it'd be a mark which do want to talk to them. So what we're going to do is project into the future you know. Let's see what we think is going to happen? The culture in Arizona compared to other states is is. What do you think what makes us unique or different are we well? It's hard to say. I mean the virus hasn't hit us as hard as it hit Ed as it hit New York and and so hard to say What the Reaction Response Is. GonNa be unless and until it does You know the governor has done the The emergency orders clearly are bars and restaurants. Basically closed You know I'm sure if the death poll here was in the thousands instead of in doesn't We might be reacting a little differently than you know. I I I I still go to the grocery store. I struggle to Hardware store and I see people out in out. So there's certainly no panic. I think people are taking it seriously. People think people understands that this is a very destructive disease They're acting in a pretty calm manner until win until aware until until they don't I don't exactly the right until they don't. I'm when they start really getting your coney and it's already getting that way I think because Arizona a lot of places Citizen Journalism is really a a taken off thing which is one thing that we were hammered on back in the night. I'm going I don't care. How many barrels of ache you do to paper not GonNa make any difference anymore. We're going to be somebody with a blog a blog. What's that it's different now? So I see citizen. Journalists are going to be going out with their video cameras and they're just GonNa go to the hospital. Okay we'll show me. You know the lines of coughing up blood. What where you know it's GonNa Happen. It's I guarantee it and it's going to be. They're going to be coating for whatever's in their best interest for whatever money they get whatever political decision but what's happened shutdown going after people that are gathering in groups of more than peaceful assembly constitution doesn't mean anything anymore. They can love bus cross country. And you're not allowed. You know I'm going. This is and they didn't put a boot on the ground. Took over America's economy and just flushed it in one shrew. Oop I find this amazing. And what's going to come after that we have we cover a lot of technology how it empowers the individual decentralizes down to the individual and communication and power and shelter and and one of the things of this love bus. It's all about property rights. I do I own myself. Can I do what I want? Get what I want or not be forced to take vaccines that kind of thing. The other thing is if it pleases the Crown. May I occupy land? They go no. You can put your tent up in front of City Hall but if you put it on your own land you'll get occupancy permit you're going to jail some bitch you know. You're so freaking not allowed without permission slip and I'm going. When did that happen in America? Well we're starting to get some answers. And all the paradigms of the people in general public opinion is going to dramatically shift. And I don't think now they may have control gonNA mandate and all our wherever they're going to do but when the people just go just I'm not feeling it that's when things change and that's what's coming and I'm wondering what your position on. This is what you're covering. What are you looking at? Well I've been looking at impediments to to the reaction. Generally the the the issue of. Where's where's the government in the way where what is impeding a hierarchy well again the quirk when examples a good one the the the FDA even though these drugs have been on the market for decades Park goes back free World War Two days so we know the safety profile We know what What the risks are which they're fairly minimal. For most people The other one zee PAC which is Low rate antibiotic pigging dozen for sinus infections. So we know what these drugs are. We know what their side effects are. We have a real good safety profile And yet When when people start talking about. Hey there's potential here we get a lot of pushback of well. You can't do that because they're not approved well and that sounds very definitive. Th they're not approved. No one's ever proved that these drugs work on cove in nineteen. Well they're not gonNA prove that for another four or five years Through statistical controlled trials. What what What we need now is is answers. Now we we've got to focus on what's GonNa work in the real world. We don't know yet whether these are are the most effective treatment dacoven nineteen We can't wait five years to find that out so the idea is which they finally started doing As of last weekend is let's start treating patients in the real world. We and monitoring their wiki collect data while we're while we're Administering treatments we don't have to wait until the end of these studies Find out these drugs are GonNa work today on a concept you know. When this first started happening I go. There may be something there. I'm never thinking that governments Going to let a good crisis placed or if they need to create one off I think so I take it seriously. I got an oxygen generator for fifty bucks on Amazon. Boom you know six years I. What are they gonNa do from the hospital? That's not gonNA have beds when it gets bad. What are they? GonNa do the oxygen. So you don't have organ failure. They're going to give you know and then I got a little twenty dollars center. Saturation Knocks Jin. Level of all my finger. Thing that okay. I got that. Then they're going to do I`ve. I've got friends in nurses and doctors. Kinda you'll learn how to do an ivy now so I'm going on and some vitamin C. Some mushroom of whatever the heck sue the replication of the viral Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah. I take it seriously now. I'm ready. I'm doing everything I can to make sure my family safe. We you know have enough food. You Know Crazy. Ernie's got enough that now when I go on this tour all my four kids and families they got plenty of food you know. Ha Oh Donna my wife. She goes into the adequate the grandkids pull stuff out two hundred eight rolls of toilet paper from h one n one go and Tampons all menstruating. Women must come to me. I'm going 'cause I would make fun of it on the Chicago and look. What will people value? Well now we know pierrot goes for forty dollars a bottle and it's Anthony Alcohol Moonshine. Are You freaking kidding me? I'm just like so. This is a great education for a lot of people so I see the silver lining. I'm not just totally dismissing it. I want to take advantage of of the opportunity of being such a rich semi free country that we can have these opportunities but I remember in the nineties. They were trying to do away with supplements. You know this was a Codex Alimentarius or whatever you know like. They're doing in Europe vitamin C. By prescription and stuff. I'm going I'm freedom. Is The answer to me. Every one of these. I'm not feeling the freedom and they're gonNA come after our money and certainly devaluation of whatever we have. So I'm wondering if Arizona you feel Arizona and do you travel much. You have friends around the country other reporters you talk to your research is Arizona. Still Kinda unique or we started. Just get him with the heard. Well Arizona I think has responded Locally as opposed to two nationally again if you've got an outbreak in New York City a quarantine zone of the Sony making sense and that's pretty much what you've seen around the country Different Particularly Different Governors At the state level are handling Are are implementing a lot of these things at different as in a different time and honestly. That's exactly the way things are supposed to work under the constitution. is a is. It's not supposed to be a one-size-fits-all we've got a crisis in New York. So we need to shut the whole country down. And we need to take the exact same measures in Laramie Wyoming that we taking New York City. That's not the way this country was set up way. The country was set. Up is is primarily responses to emergencies including public health emergencies. Estate Mogul issues. You know when we come back book get into you know the legislature here. Now are the even meeting. What are they doing? How are they addressing this? What about the money? You know. We're resources going? Do we even know. Where do we look at? And that's all that the license means but yet it has this aura of legitimacy to its license and they paid some money to the state and so therefore they must be a good company. It's absurd and absolutely and what it does is it depletes the pool of people out there that would be doing business in that particular way that you know. It's a sin and I. I'm seeing that it's been I am I right. I mean you're always broken clocks right you know a couple times a day. I mean that kind of yields. Well Yeah we had to wait thirty years. Ernie I'm going. I don't know man this has been going on. This has been neon flashing obvious of what's been happening forever. It's so predictable. How did you know how did you not know what the hell were you guys paying attention to so I need to know? Are you paying attention to legislature in their budget? And the pensions and the city. Pensions and all this debt. And everything is that crossing your radar screen at all. I'm not particularly. I know the legislature in Arizona is essentially suspended accession. They're just Kinda got a carry-forward budget going. I know One of the discussions going on when they started talking about this Whatever phase we're in on on a federal Other Federal Bill. I know that there's a lot of talk among some big cities relieving these public entrance which were before relieving. What does that mean I mean? I guess that's what you gotTa stop and think is is you know. What are we doing to deal with? The immediate impact of Corona virus. How much versus. How much are post trying to use these bills to You know essentially do things that are non. Kalana violence related. We saw that in the previous legislation. And there's already you know people are already talking about hotline. We get some of this other stuff in whatever new legislation comes and I know one of the things that Folks from some of these big cities and some of these states. That are having problems as well. Maybe we should get the federal government bail out our pensions which has nothing to do with cove in nineteen You know you look at Chicago and say it has everything to do with look employee pension. We're in we're in the toilet before Kobe. Nineteen they're going to be an after of it. Well I mean I would think that some people know that when you just print up a bunch of this money it makes it value less worth less to the point. It's worthless. I mean you know. It's the this we need to get to something of a tangible value in gold. Silver whatever I mean you can make all these Austrian economic. You know L- Predictions and Ron Paul. Going on about whatever. We're just going to get to say I told you so. Would you think it was the Chinese did it? You know and so this is coming and I'm and I'm wondering if the Republicans going to survive do you. Do you think that there see this? Suspension of the suspension of Habeas Corpus has already happened. You know. A lot of people. Don't know that under certain circumstances. Habeas Corpus is eliminated the constitution. Yeah we could do that. I'm going really yeah. You're free until we say you're not and I'm going. Wow so that's why. This show's declare your independence. The purpose is very clearly. The purpose of government is defensive individual rights when it doesn't do that time to alter abolish it. You're right your duty boom. I'm in you know so the constitutional rights kind of whatever. I'm just like the promise made. Americans was that if you go with our program we're going to protect your rights and they're the ones taken away. I don't know how that survives I don't think it does and I think people will start to act in their own self interest and they're just going to their retirement is going to be valueless. They're gonNA put a gazillion more dollars and even if they got the stock. Market's you'll thirty thousand. We'll so what a loaf of bread this is. I'm seeing unravel before my eyes and I'm not happy about it. But the reason for Freedoms Phoenix the logo. The whole point of that was freedoms Phoenix from the ashes. A Lady Liberty's torch. That's what that was all about. I go there will be the ashes and then Freedoms Phoenix Com. That's what we're going to see. And that's what. I was preparing for for my grandchildren. This so our low bus liberty tour is going to be emphasizing. All this stuff and inspiring. There's things that you can do. What are you doing at a personal level? I mean you got yeah food I mean what are you planning on for yourself mark? Well Yeah We. We've got food. Unfortunately you know it in a panic situation when when everybody else could you kind of have to ex- ex- stupid so you know normally when when the whole panic began on on the search for toilet paper. I thought I'm not going to act like an idiot. Run in by you know ten packages of of Kostas toilet paper but then you go to the store shelves and there's no toilet paper so when everybody else acts like an idiot you're kind of forced to act an idiot it's just a personal level You know you you go to the grocery store and their whole shelves that are that are empty and so you know if you see a if you see a bag of rice you buy it just because beggar rights for a long time you know how we wound up with. Eleven polly barrels. Full of food was every time they pissed me off. I went and bought another fifty pounds of beans. I went and got thirty or so. I have eleven barrels of food. A lot of barrels of beans. Well we did a lot of things you know You know can you know whatever and but I feel. I'm not putting it on the bus so I got all my kids. I'm like Oh we're divvying it up. You know here you go. And you're like so Donna. When this all happened she goes. I don't think we need to get anything I go. That was the point. You know we're good. You know I just. It didn't cost now. It's why you're not going to be able to eat your silver. I go. You're right. I don't get the silver to after I get the food so it's and it was. It didn't cost that much. It's not that that's not the point. It's a mindset. We had so much faith in our government and I didn't get all freaked out. You know me always having fun about if you're not having fun you're doing it wrong but that doesn't mean the don't need to do something and I'm just wondering if to go under institute and you and there's a legislature and everything advocating for any preparation I mean they believe they're just waiting on the federal government. Give them a bailout Ernie. I mean there's a difference between asking skeptical enacting stupid. I mean no. I'm not going to go seek out a large crowd I'm not going to go to us. Spring Break Party and and main beach. I'm not going to get you know Mardi Gras I mean you can be skeptical. Yuka you can ask yourself I mean. Is this really necessary? But that doesn't mean you have to be stupid about us. Sounds like it sounds like you. You know whether you believe the government or not you. You've taken precautions. Oxygen Generator I get my medicine. I get the reality is people just don't know yet. We're not gonNA know for a long time. We're not gonNA know how severe this is. We're GONNA know before we are not going to know how many people died so with this virus which are not necessarily the same thing so in any public health. Emergency to debate whether it's emerged a lot of times. You don't have the answers in real time. No you find out later last week. They dropped the news that Oh yeah we found the study of building seven was probably demolition. And amongst all this stuff they finally come out of that building. Seven probably demolition. I'm like Oh yeah now now. How was it twenty years later? You know I'm getting the truth. Finally Nine Eleven Commission report didn't even mentioned building seven. Hell do you even know there was a building seven? I mean I I. It's so full of lies. You cannot have an empire. Lies Sustain itself? It just can't so my whole concept and you go about the fourth turning and this and that in every ability of the mouth of whatever the hell but it all comes down to general public opinion. That's been you WANNA know the secret to everything that I do has been to get an infection. A splinter in the CORTEX for general public opinion. That's all that I do. I don't care what the judge says I just wanted to say it. I don't care what the legislature boats I just WanNa go on record. I don't give a crap stories. We put up in Washington. Post said. Don't care you know I just want to have the record there so and that's why we do. Ip fastened permanent record of everything. So I'm looking forward. I'm hoping that in the future. It'll be months later. I'd be on the road but I'm like the I care about Arizona. My grandkids and family here. Hopefully as this goes on you'll make yourself available to tell us what's happening. I mean do you spend at the legislature at all? No I'm not very much so you're focusing on. Fda approval and drugs only do not. Just the nature of my position does not require me to be at the legislature. Miss it are you are you are you. Are you disappointed? No it would have happened to the Senate press room to even have it anymore they They shut that down Years ago when I was still when I was still down there apparently they they decided like you could come on market. Understand my position here. You know you could see my perspective a little bit. You know while there's a lot of evidence kind of feeds into my position. You know what I mean. You know. It's the same old pleasure when you don't know the answers And you think you do. What if you're wrong in an election like this You know you may be entirely ride earnings. This is being overblown. Roughly two hundred fifty thousand Minnesotans have filed for unemployment assistant in recent weeks Massachusetts lawmakers considering a bill to get business interruption insurance to cover the economic losses from Colvin nineteen particularly to help restaurants and other small businesses. It's the second such bill in the country with the first from New Jersey as state. Senator Jeanne Eldridge is sponsoring the legislation and says he got the idea after going to a restaurant a few weeks ago the last night people could dine out in the bay state. I was at a restaurant and speaking to the waitress. She said Yep tonight's my last day I'm being laid off and the owner of the restaurant happened to be there and they'll very upset about it and was closing some of these other restaurants and it really hit home. How quickly this going to affect? Actually the restaurant industry elder says he also spoke with an attorney and friend who had hurt similar concerns from restaurant clients. Little review would be appreciated. So today's show I. Obviously I'm going to talk about crony buyers because how can I not? That's going to be a lot of the show but before I do that. I just WanNa talk about the quarantine. The situation that everyone's living in right now and I know a lot of people are are out of work. You know losing losing their income. Lose your main source of income. Maybe you know your business being shut down. It's a it's a crappy situation. It's a difficult situation. And it's even more difficult because there's no light at the end of the tunnel. We don't know when this is GONNA end. We don't know when the government's GonNa let us come out of our houses. We don't know when the government's GonNa let us do business as as free people and make voluntary transactions. So you know I. It's a little bit disconcerting because it's hard to imagine what's going to happen I can promise you we will come out of this. In some way form fashion. Things will be different. They probably won't be that much different but I'm sure that you and behaviors will have changed and with that comes comes lot opportunity Just a couple of things off the top of my head that you know that I can picture changing a lot. Less less people are GONNA fly. It can be less. Flights people aren't GonNa want to be cooped on a plane Together full of You know a hundred other people in germs mixing up. This is GONNA probably the change. The way people look at that plus there won't be as much need to fly because people like myself who've been working from home for the past three weeks and however many more threes we've whatever weeks are are left in this in this experience. Corinthian experience raw going through these corporations are going to realize. Why am I paying you know Johnny? Ceo to fly around the country of Johnny Director. Johnny manager whoever to travel around the country when he's For the past six weeks he's been sitting at home and productivity. Is the same everything everything that's happened before is happening now. In fact it might be a little better honestly. I think the work coming out of my group the group that I work with. We've been keeping in close contact with my corporate job. We talk every not every day every every weekday and honestly. I feel like we're working together better than ever right now. Working from home and personally myself working from home I feel like I am functioning at the highest level. Ever functioned before being able to roll out of bed. Have my morning routine that it go through. You know. Read the Bible. I get my breakfast Mick McCarthy. Sometimes I'll do it more than you run. Sometimes I do my my workout at lunchtime. Get that stuff out of the way I plan out my entire day. Everything I do for a corporate job at the end of that. I plan out what I need to do for the podcast. What I do for my side Hustles. And it's it's been amazing plus. I can mix in lunch if I want to go outside and play some soccer with my daughter. I can do that so it's been a an eye opening experience for me being able to To work from home. I know that I'm very lucky to even be getting paid right now to have a job because a lot of people are struggling and also aside from having the the corporate job that I do have. I am lucky that I was smart enough to. I shouldn't say that I understand that you know. My Job's not always going to be there and when you have an income that is based on trading your FA- your time for dollars mid has an expiration date on an expiration date. Might be when you retire. That expiration date might be next week when you get laid off but it has an expiration date. And you're not able to trade that time for dollars forever so thinking of that and thinking ahead and trying to free myself from being locked into that situation. I do have multiple other streams of income which make this a little less stressful for me. I have my people who follow me on facebook. Know that I have my land. Vesti BUSINESS I have my by. Plexus supplement business Got Hello good stuff also Also we have the podcast here lines liberty we don't take any money from it but The goal is eventually here that this will be a A residual income base where. We're getting paid on ads and things of that nature and it won't be strictly time based your dollar for dollar. I'm not in clocking out getting paid. So that's That's the goal for those other companies in the works Stay tuned but That's that's the way I think that's another thing that's going to change is more people are going to be much much more open and accepting to looking to make income in different ways where they're not strictly trading time for dollars. I will also say that It's opened up my eyes to a whole world of being social being social using Zumur different video conferencing software past couple of weeks Have Played Zoom Flip. Cup have played zoom beer pong with With our own Brian Williams and rico the elusive legal counsel of the lines that Liberty Rico. And I'm laughing because of Brian hears this. He's going to be so upset. Because you get so mad because we've played twice now we'll play again this Saturday. You can actually tune in to watch US play by going. In the lines of Liberty Pride. We stream it in our private facebook group. You can join the pride by going to Patriotdepot dot com slash liberty and Brian has been getting beat and he doesn't take losing a beer pong very well and last week was especially bad. He lost a little round robin tournament. We did Rica one it and then they wanted to play again a little bit more on the Line into Rico. Just whoop them so Brian was was not too happy. But it makes makes me laugh and Brian's men so you know guys I mean the bottom line here is I'm GonNa talk about a lot of things that are just GonNa make you I- rates things that are GonNa make you. Frankly pissed off. They're gonNA make you question the future what it's going to be like and that's it's important to talk about these things because there's a shitload of injustice happening out there right now and there's a lot of things that are out of our control and that's hard that's hard to deal with but it's important to talk about it important to get it out there for the masses to hear it so that's why. I WANNA through this list but at the same time I wanted to start out talking you guys at the beginning here the beginning of the show. Because you know this isn't the end. Life's GonNa go on guys and we will recover from this. We're not going to tolerate living in a society where we are confined to our houses. So I know I'm not going to tolerate it and I know that many of you listen out. There won't either so with that being said. Let's get into some things I wanted to talk about and I'm going to start a little bit of a well. It's not really a lighter note but it's it's not a corona virus note you know of course tiger king the crazy Netflix. A docu series that is just dominating social media dominating conversations everywhere dominating dinner table conversations and the Nemesis in that documentary docu series. And if you haven't seen it I'm sorry spoiler coming spoilers Commun- right now okay Skip ahead three minutes. Spoilers coming right now if you haven't watched higher king and you're going to watch it stop this. Pull that little dot on your phone. Move the time three minutes. Promise I'll be done by then. You might miss a little bit something else. But whatever okay. Starting Now Tiger King Carol Baskin's first of all screw Carol Basket. She murdered her husband. I don't believe her. She just the way that she talked about it. She gave every telltale sign every bit of body language the laughter. She had while talking about the look on her face. We're talking about her husband who disappeared. I didn't believe a word out of her mouth. I absolutely believe that she murdered her husband. But I think it's hilarious that this docu series has caused her to come out and she is actually denied murdering her second husband and mentioned him and feed him to To her tigers because of course the main character in the Netflix series Joe Exotic. Who's now I told you. The spoiler sub continue. And who's in prison now and jokes? I ran for. President and governor under the Libertarian. Banner The gay polygamists method. Who is stolen the hearts of America that Joe Exotic made a music video? This is back years ago. Made a music video of character song about Carol feeding her dead husband to tigers and it is the Docu series is worth just to watch for that but you know I'm not even GonNa Watch care. Baskin's denial because I don't believe it wherever mouth get a drink of my truly here. So new flavor Truly lemonade hard cider. Sweet which I don't know how it gets so sweet because there's no sugar in it which makes me wonder what else is in there. I'm just GONNA assume it's good for me. It's probably not anyway. Let's keep on cracking through talking about some more stories. Got A couple where I want to get through before we get into the corona virus stuff so go to out to Seattle of course Washington State. That is one of the epicenters for Corona virus. Although they've done a much better job controlling it than they have in New York Michigan New Jersey states like that because they got out on a quick start on letting people know you can't be gathering big crowds not to say. I agree with Governor's coming out of making it illegal to do that. But I am one of the Libertarians. Who believes this is a real virus and people are actually dying and I actually understand that. The reason for the social distancing and not gathering in large groups is not. Because you know it's it hasn't killed as many people as the flu. It's because the amount of people who'd be hospitalized based on stats statistics that we have right now in the country. Hospitalization rates is like ten or maybe twenty times higher than the flu and on top of that if people hospitalized for the flu artistic hospitalized for two maybe maybe four days at the most you're talking with krona virus the ones who were hospitalized the ones in the ICU or even not just hospitalized are in there for at least a week two weeks even more so take hospital bed plus. It's all happening at the same time. A new virus running through the population needs to be slowed down with Social distancing should have been masks. It's a shame the CDC's lied to us for these many months about mass not being useful because they honestly think we would not be in the position we are today if the CDC did not lie to us. But I will not go down that road on today's show I might. I don't know we'll see so seattle. I forgot what I was talking about. Seattle the Seattle police chief police chief Carmen best so they have the covert epidemic happening out there and she says this hate crimes have no place in our community. We are all trying to deal with the co-pay nineteen public health crisis together. But if you are a victim of a hate crime or hate based harassment please call nine one one. We will document and investigate reported hate crime. Even racist name calling should be reported to police. If you aren't sure if a hate crime occurred call nine one one. We're here to help so number one disclaimer. I'm not in favor of racism of people calling each other racist names. I'm not in favor of hate. I'm not in favor of any of that. Okay I'll tell you what I am in favour of. I'm in favor of individual rights. I'm in favor of the police not locking people in cages who have not committed a non violent crime in calling someone. A name is not a violent crime so this is absolutely absurd in ridiculous and a waste of time at a time like this when police could actually be helping people. My God helping people at a time like this. Can you even imagine that if police were doing legitimate welfare checks not the kind where they're shooting people through the window Janet Welfare checks or you know just being there for people you know? Maybe maybe helping with running groceries things like that helping out in the community but police should be doing right if that was going on you know. Maybe they wouldn't need to be distracted with this with this. Just ridiculous hate crime policing and at the end of it. If you aren't sure you know. Here's something call nine one one basically if you if you heard something and maybe you heard. Secondhand third end. Just call police just your neighbor. You yelled hello to you and you couldn't tell what the second word was just called. The police have them arrested. Swat team will come in and take care of them. Don't worry about it. It's not your problem. Let the police just kill them. God what a world we live in switching to a little bit more lighthearted story here not to the Kovic stuff yet. Ruth Bader GINSBURG. Everyone's favourite liberal Supreme Court justice. I Kid I kid. Nobody likes her. Well no one. Who's not extreme leftist? Likes her but I will say this. Okay the story is Ruth Bader. Ginsburg is still working out in the Supreme Court Private Jim and she's working with trainer and they've defended the same. No one else is using the gym. She's She's has her own space there you know. They wiped down all the equipment. And the trainer's not training. Nobody else Blah Blah Blah first of all scattered out of the way Ruth Bader. Ginsburg should not have any more rights. That I don't have if I can go to my gym. She should be able to go to her Jim. I don't know equality under the law right. I'm arrested if I tried to go to my gym which is closed. It's been closed by the by the governor of Pennsylvania from edict from above the king of Pennsylvania. But you know so. She's going there anyway and I was like okay. They have this video linked to on the show notes page which you can find at. Lyons LIBERTY DOT COM. What EPISODE IS THIS SAYS EPISODE NUMBER? Up to twenty two so lines of LIBERTY DOT COM F F to to to you can find all the links and went to talk about there but you also find this Ruth Bader Ginsburg video on the link titled Ruth Bader. Ginsburg continues to work out Supreme Court private. Jim and I cut down the video thinking you know this is GonNa be. I'm gonNA feel bad her. It's GonNa be terrible to watch. She's eighty seven years old thing the videos from two years ago. This is going to be terrible but I'll watch it and I gotta be honest with you. She's in good shape for aid for eighty five. I guess when this was shot damn it's not like she's like ripped in like doing jumping. Jacks and jumping around. But she's doing i. You know the the lean against the wall with the With with the ball behind you with doing dumbo curls. She's standing up with with an extra way to exercise ball and thrown into the trainer and of course her next hanging down a little bit but my God eighty five years old doing that so I don't know many people at eighty five. You can do that so good for Ruth Bader Ginsburg especially since she's had like pancreatic cancer for like fifteen years which. I'm pretty sure that's never happened before. So she might be a Cyborg but I you know I I must say I was impressed by so let's talk about some virus current virus. Nope no one ever said that ever another drink so of course what happens when you lock people in their home with the people that they are married to or in a relationship with with children with their their wife their husband Blah Blah Blah What happens when when you do that. A couple of things could happen. People could grow closer. Could really the flames over relationship? Those sparks could come back. And you know maybe some people are saved from getting divorced. I'm sure that's happening. You know People are getting spent more time with their kids. Like I was saying you know playing out in the yard playing sports in the yard with their mom and dad normally get to do that. It's been club for for runs. You know three or four times a week outside. I've never seen so many people outside in the yards. You know kids playing mom or dad out there fooling around. It's it's cool to see that it's awesome but the flip side of that. Is You have a bunch of people who are in very very dangerous abusive relationships and They are basically imprison with their With their abuser. And it's it's some scary shit and I've talked to people who are in social services who were looking dealing with those cases and they say they say it's they've just it's inundating it's everywhere it's overwhelming so I have an article that I linked to the show notes page. Domestic abuse costs have soared. Nationwide and I think everybody can. Everybody knows why you know what's happening. There was some stat which I don't know if I believe that out out of Sacramento. This lady was saying that rate now one out of five women are being abused which doesn't make any sense. But maybe I maybe I read that wrong. I don't know hopefully I did. I don't think I did though but It's it's just it's not good and This is why you don't have government edicts locking people in their freaking home because you know what people are individuals can make their own damn choices you know what we have a little thing this country the freedom though thing called liberty and guess what it comes at a price and if that price is people wanting to get out of their house and maybe some of them spread around a little cove. I don't want it to happen but rather that happened. Then them get killed by their by their abuser which happened in Pennsylvania Pennsylvania. A guy got upset lost his job and shot his girlfriend and she survived. He was a it was an attempted murder. Suicide He is dead so this was in Pennsylvania this past week. I believe he lost his job. And yes the. The girlfriend survived with non life threatening. Injuries says Wilson Borough Pennsylvania. Not sure where that is. So the story is the woman and witnesses have told police that the man came out of the House and he'd become become increasingly upset over the covert nineteen pin pandemic and he lost his job said and He wanted the basement came outside to the rear porch with the victim and he's holding a handgun hen hand gun and he says I already talked to God and a half to do this and his his wife tried to try to run away or as your girlfriend tried to run away. Shot her four times shot at her four times. I don't know if he hit her with one bullet so thank God. He missed three other times and then he shot himself and he is deceased so this this is serious shit and this is something that I've heard people say no one's talking about it because I've heard people talk about. Obviously there's articles read myself. I this happens but it's definitely very much overlooked in the the Greater Cova. Da Cova Madness. How many people are essentially prisons In their own home right now and being abused by by somebody very close to them so my prayers go out to them for that situation so I I don't know I really don't know what else to say. If you are in a situation like that please reach out to somebody who you trust. Reach out to reach out to some family. Reach out to some friends. Think about really put some thought into how you can escape that situation. Because it's if there's any time to get out of that it's right now and you know if it if your risk getting arrested and going to jail for breaking a break in an order I mean you gotTa make that decision yourself but I gotTa tell you if I was in some sort of situation like that I would. I would take that risk. But that's everyone's gotTa make that decision on their own so I do WanNa talk about what's going on also in the prison system because you know when this virus. I started spreading almost immediately. The prison system threw their hands up and said well versed screwed. It's going to get in here and just run through the system and and it will because the prison system is a disgusting gross place where diseases run rampant. Because nothing's ever cleaned. The guards are abusive and keeping social distancing in prison is not a joke because there's no possibility and there is you know. I know I was two weeks ago. Harvey Weinstein was. I guess he finally went into prison. Like you had a heart attack or something. And then he finally goes into prison and when he gets in there he's like oh by the way I have the krona virus which is just ridiculous so they isolated him but he I mean they didn't know how to ensure they don't know how to deal with. They don't have the proper. P P or face masks or gloves or how they were doing so for all we know Harvey Weinstein could have started this federal prison Kovic spread. That's going on. How ridiculous would that be? And I've heard nothing about his health because he was in horrible health going in like I said he had that heart attack he's had nervous breakdowns. He looks like he's about to die and then he gets the coverted. I don't know I I'm surprised I haven't heard that he's dead and if I did hear that he was dead. I probably would not believe it. So I'm going to go on record right now and say that. Cova did not kill Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein did not kill himself so I do a couple more notes on the prison system attorney. General William Bar. He's ordered. This was last week order review of the prison population to look for inmates. Listen to this. Look for inmates who could be sent home to be at home confinement without jeopardising public safety. So what he's looking. At people have served a majority of their sentence. These people might have other health issues. That could be elderly older and because of this Kobe situation he saying let's send them home now To rescue them being a possible. Another person that could that could spread this Spread this illness thing about that for a minute. So you're okay to send them home now because of Cova did but they pose no threat to society. Why are they still in prison? Why there's no good reason for them to still be imprisoned. Sh should've been like years ago. I'm your time on non violent people who you know. Maybe some of them. Are you know fraud crimes? Different crimes like that Sure a lot of them are drug crimes where there's no victim at all so. Do they have a debt to pay? Well if they did have a debt to pay they could pay that a hell lot faster if they were out in the real world. It can make some money. Maybe not doing these times but these times will come to pass so I mean bottom line in the same thing is happening in county. Prisons stay presents all across the country. I keep seeing the same thing with governor's saying local politicians saying we need to let the prisoners go her not a risk to public safety. You should have let them go. It shouldn't be there be in prison. Why are they in prison? We would supporting them being there just because they had some ridiculous sentence comes out of these absurd sentencing guidelines that make no frigging sense. God. It's so frustrating. Also another story coming out of coming out of New York. Coming out of the Prison System. So rikers island. Prisoners are being offered. Pp personal protective equipment and six buckets. Six bucks an hour to dig mass graves. Now I WANNA say probably calling a mass graves could be a little bit hyperbolic but maybe it is. I don't know I mean who knows what's GonNa Happen New York City. That place is a disaster right now so and by the way I know a lot of people who live in New York City normally and have our living outside of the city now. They've escaped a lot of people went to New Jersey so people that have come back to Pittsburgh. You know the famous Dave Smith from part of the problem. He's huddled up somewhere in. I don't know I think he's at his in laws house or something so hopefully everybody. You could get out of New York. Did I know we have? We have some. We have a price of pride supporter. Carl who's holding the New York City. So we get our get updates from him and what's going on in the city but this stories about. I mean normally. I'm I'm totally against this sort of prison labor because the pays like ten cents an hour and it's just sports slavery essentially but they're saying six bucks an hour and six bucks an hour digging a grave that sounds about right might be a little bit high. I don't know if they're going to voluntarily I don't have a major issue with it I guess the issue that I do have is mixed signals on. What's going on here? You know are they just doing what they would normally do? And the media's jumping on this is some sort of you know Conspiracy thing that the numbers of dead from covert New York. It'd be much higher. I don't know I think it's worth Getting the story out there that it's happening and it's good for the prisoners to get outside. Get some fresh air and get some exercise and not be inside a prison where they're inside that prison. They're probably much more likely to get Cova. Because I'm sure it's just it's GonNa make us. It's GONNA destroy prisons. I mean I. It's it's terrible. What's what's likely going to happen in our in our prison system. But you know what it's going to get some people free so that's that's good right. I look at the bright side. All right what else to talk about. I got a actually. I did have another Kovic Story. One headlining click over. Didn't having my notes but I just remember it. Sip here my beverage all right so this is out of Douglas County Nebraska Omaha Nebraska. What happened here a A man threatened to Lynch and slit the throat of the Douglas County Health Director. So you know this kind of comes back to I wanNA talk about there. Definitely is a very big risk of civil unrest coming from this and I'll get into that after after this but this story coming out of Douglas County So the the health director Dr Addy Poor. I think I'm saying that right You know she's coming out with these recommendations same thing that everyone everyone around the country is saying basically you know. Don't leave your house Close everything and should be no business. Transactions outside of buying toilet paper so what happened. Was this guy out Ronald Penza. Hausky good good Polish name Ronald Penkovsky pens Kaczynski sent a bunch of messages in really honestly I'll I'll read. This is the one they put on in the article in. It's not bad really until the very end but I guess after this. He sent some really threatening stuff threatening to slit throat and all that stuff and Lynch either so it got worse ago works but the first one. I don't know what you think. This is run PepsiCo ski so it seems like you've finally found some value in your worthless life but the power has gone to your head and you're issuing orders like a dictator back off this ridiculous order to shut down the city. Stop the bullshit health reports that would make you think that people will be dropping dead on every street corner. Let things get back to the way they ought to be or there will be a revolt economic chaos. You're creating isn't justified. There are lynching lynching outside the Douglas County courthouse essentially century in one year ago. You're next bitch. Lasts hadn't probably raise the Red Flag. Then he went on like. I said to make some pretty precipitous threats. So what's happened here? Is he been charged charged with Terroristic threats YEP charged with Making terroristic threats and stalking so my point from this and what I wanted to talk about. Next is the risk of civil unrest and it has the the sort of the same routes and what is setting off the P- setting people off the off the ledge like the man of Pennsylvania. That guy's probably mentally. Ill already was banned or do something like that regardless of a covert. But what you've kind of had happened and if you look to cities like what's happening like out in In California Beverly Hills. I've seen some some pictures of Rodeo. Drive where you have all the all. The businesses are boarded up. You look at the magnificent mountains. Chicago seeing tweets come out where You know everything's boarded up all the fancy stores have boards up and what so. Why would you do that? Why would you put up your stores If everyone's supposed to be in their homes you could just lock the door right so people understand what the what the risk is and my thoughts on this. So we've been what lockdown for working from home this week three for me some more some less but I think my personal view this the average person. And it's it's different based on if you're getting paid or not you know some people might be reaching the breaking point soon. I think the average is about six weeks. You could tolerate this for six weeks. And that's about it. Yeah I could see people You know maybe if they come out and there's some actual Good information believable credible information. That comes out after six weeks right before the end of six weeks and they say listen you know. These are the stats. Everything's dropping down and If we just go another week here it's GonNa make a big difference and it's going to prevent it from spiking again Blah Blah Blah. I I would have to total hypothetical saying I believe that'd be the case at all. Just frigging talking anyway bottom line. I think six weeks is about the breaking point. So there's gotta be I mean there's gotta be something done with economy starting to come back in three to four weeks from now. There has to be this. This can't go on like this and if it does people are going to start. Looting people are going to start getting violent. And I'm not saying that I would. I'm not I'm not condoning it. I don't think people should right now. I think it's a dumb idea. I think it's a it's a recipe to get yourself shot by police right now or the National Guard because now the National Guard is apparently going to be patrolling. Which I'll be talking about next so I don't know it's it's tough and if when I look into my crystal ball and I imagine the future here the only way I can see this going I know. President trump has has said here Friday. I think he said on Thursday that star he didn't say they're crashing a statement that he's GonNa come out and say which will probably say it on Friday that they're going to recommend a lease wearing some sort of mask. Even if the Bandana over your over your mouth to help stop the spread which logically makes perfect freaking sense. And it's incredible that it's you know at the. Cdc is going to get away with ridiculous recommendations saying that wear masks do nothing at all. Do nothing at all to prevent the spread but when you look at the graph of you know cases of countries across the world the ones with the little line that goes up and then levels off on the far right side of the chart that wants to have at least impact from Cova all the cultures. That use masks Japan South Korea. I mean it's it's it's really stunning when when when you look at it. And all the other countries that aren't wearing masks are just getting crushed. And the reason. Why is because this? This illness is spread primarily by people who are asymptomatic which they're saying could be as many as twenty five percent of people who come in contact with it ain't contract it or pre-symptomatic because you can be without symptoms for a minimum of two days. But you could be symptoms for ten days with this with this illness so everybody should be wearing a mask when you go out in public. I'm not saying we do this forever. But but right now and that would be a way to get his back to work. You know we start a week from now to go in phases. I'm not saying everybody should should run back out there. The people back out there who need to make money you know. Let them do something. Let them work and I mean just put up if you can't I mean I know there's a massive shortage but people are making mass out of cloth and fabric and a lot of misinformation out there about those aren't even effective at all. I'll tell you what you're full of Shit. If you think that covering your mouth with anything I mean just putting it. Hold A T shirt up over. Your mouth is going to be more effective than not having a mask. I mean a child understands that. That's just it's insane that the CDC has lied to us so badly and they will get away with it. They'll get away it and it's going to happen till I was going to happen them. Castle come out. And they'll say well donald trump he mismanaged this and he put these people in charge of the CDC FDA in different positions since folded offense Joe Biden and he would have selected fucking some other guy and it would have been so much better and life would be great and it would have been like Ebola. Never would have come here. It would have been exactly the same exactly the frigging same but probably worse because Joe Biden cannot even talk on camera for more than two minutes. So can you imagine? Joe Biden was the leader. The president of the United States right now the chaos that would be going on. It would be a fricking disaster. My God and that's not to say I agree with what trump's doing some of it's good some of it's bad and the CDC and the FDA let's start there and we can We can talk about other stuff all right speaking of Donald Trump. Of course you know the back Russia gates remember that stuff seems like it seems like different lifetime when you think about Russia Russia gate and trump being impeached. Just like three months ago. The impeachment feels like three years ago. So it's come out recently that You know there's A. There's an investigation going on Justice Department inspector. General Michael Horowitz was leading inquiry looking at looking at the the number of errors in applications specifically around the phases surveillance process and they looked into just the Russia gate stuff and a read directly from it here after an earlier inquiry found numerous heirs applications to monitor former trump campaign foreign policy advisor Carter Page in a bid to assess whether the faults in pages surveillance process where an aberration or a chronic problem Horowitz's audit team zeroed in twenty nine other applications for surveillance of the of US citizens or green card holders over a five year period. So this is spanning both Administrations Horowitz. Found an average of twenty airs twenty errors in each of the applications. These are applications. That are rubber. Stamp Rubber Stamp Rubber Stamp Rubber Steph twenty years and each advocates. So what does this come to to? Really show is not that there was an intentional. We're there might have been. It really doesn't prove it but it more so the whole body of work all of these airs. Twenty nine applications. It doesn't really prove that there was intent to target trump but it does prove that the FBI is incompetent and to have to think that these people should be the ones that are enforcing the law. And are doing these investigations and our holier than thou is just absurd. It's freaking and I mean the shame of it is with all the Cova stuff this stuff just nobody will even hear about it. But basically it's the discredits the entire Russia Gate. Discredits all that crap. I'm so so frigging over so overall overall man. I don't know I'm ready for a libertarian. President can happen. You know why I mean. There's a lot of reasons why it's because Libertarians are not good politics but more so why there's zero chance this year is because there probably won't be a libertarian convention or there might be say we get a candidate nominated somehow maybe online. Maybe Pushkin Bench back hold on July or something like that. If you do that you don't have time to petition going to be on the ballot and like thirty five states. Maybe maybe less than that. So it's ridiculous because you're going to have a campaign this year with Donald Trump who has mismanaged the hell out of this crisis. You're GONNA have supporters. That hate him but at the same time he's GonNa because Joe Biden Joe Biden is so obviously incompetent and see now. He can't even put a coherent string of words together. Perfect opportunity for a libertarian. To step in any libertarian. That any libertarian. That we have a handful of Libertarians. That we have could step in and be a credible candidate and if they could get some attention which we do have some candidates that could get attention ones that actually wants to be president. Not Saying they could win. But my God you could get a lot of media attention. You could get a lot of new people to Libertarian Party. And you could. You could break. I don't know I don't to put percentages out there this early. There's too much uncertainty. But you could do better than Gary Johnson. I'll say that but it's not gonNA happen. Unfortunately the situation we're in that's the world we're in today guys so you know in in closing. I think that's all I have. I feel like I skipped skipping articles. I did yeah. Yeah skipped one big thing. Okay never mind not done. Don't turn it off yet so I didn't want to talk about lockdowns in general and just how crazy crazy it is. I talked a little bit but just to focus on it for a minute. So one specific story in New Jersey. There was an engagement party going on ten people gathering in six children inside out ten outside party ninety nine year old man there and probably a family party. I don't think they said it wasn't. I'm assuming it was just a family engagement party and the police come in and break it up and you know the the Ocean County prosecutor comes out and says Bob La uh this is six children there and ten adults and these people are jeopardizing the health and safety of everyone in the community. And you know what they might be. I would be more concerned just from compassion standpoint. Obviously they probably This is a relative nine. Nine year old guy that was there. They shouldn't have let him be there. They should have said. Hey you know you can just zoom you will set up a computer in front of you will put up an ipad in front of you. You can watch the party. We'll walk around with an IPAD. Everybody can talk to you. The the new a newly engaged couple. They can talk to. You can see them but guess what? Probably not good for you to be there because you're the better chance of dying if you come because there's a fair chance that's one of the people. Here is either a cinematic pre-symptomatic and is carrying around some covert. So you probably shouldn't come ninety nine year old Greg Grandpa. So that's the unfortunate part and that's the I mean that's the human aspect of it that I would hope. In a libertarian society. People pointed out to each other and we would be stupid about it. But it's it's such a shame to see the way. So many libertarians have reacted to this crisis. Because instead of highlighting ways that this will be different in a more free society And I I love to post a great example. I left the post. That Arvin Vohra did. And I've I've had my criticisms of Auburn in the past but he's been crashing it lately on covert and talking about the AMA and talking to the American Medical Association which essentially a Union for doctors which basically their job is to keep him out of doctors low. So doctors can get paid more money by doing so during a crisis like this. He pointed out that you know you have situation have enough. Hospital beds. Sure you could fill up soccer field. You Can Philip Convention Centers. You can put hospital beds anywhere. You can find hospital beds you can show role ventilators in you can make it work. You know. Maybe probably not ideal not the best. You're probably GONNA more people die than normal because of the situation but you can't just have again at hospitals with all the space sitting empty extra capacity waiting for something like this. The problem is you don't have enough doctors and that's the fault of the AMA that's That's licensing licensing at its highest level. And that's that's a huge problem. And that's what libertarian should be pointing out but instead instead I see libertarians out there and social media saying this is just a cold people. Just get a little cough and you know I've had libertarians actually comment to me and social media that it's the reason the hospitals are overcrowded. Is Because guys in their thirties and forties. You know they got they have the man flu and they just they just want to go to the hospital and this want to go there because they want some want because they feel bad for themselves and They're just taking up the room so hospitals. Just let him stay there because you know hospitals. Let them stay. Which is insane. Have you ever been to a hospital as soon as you walk into a hospital? They try to push you out the door as quickly as you. Can you have a baby? They take the baby and the China literally shove you out the door with the baby as quickly as possible. Hospitals do not watch you in there. I mean they charge you enough as it is. They don't need you there that long if the fact that they keep you too long. They'll bankrupt jus you're never come back. So it's it's been fortunate to to see the way that the libertarians have reacted to this. I wish more libertarians would focus around things like the AMA would focus around the CDC the FDA the CDC was instrumental in causing this epidemic in this country. Because I don't know if people are familiar with the story back in early February when things first started Cases started popping up in Washington state and there was a local lab in in Washington state where the scientists there was like hey. Cdc I have a test here. We test people we can make this happen. We can get this under control we can you know? Get people to self boring team and Cdc said now you can't do. We actually are working on a test right now. And we're GONNA have this. It's going to be great and we'll give it to you and tick tock tick talk. Time went by spread spread spread. Finally the the woman scientists who helped to create this test said you know what you're GonNa do it anyway and just did it. Anyway broke the law and was able to contain the they found an adolescent in a local high school that was covert positive. They were able to clear out. The high school prevent spread that way and that early action stuff like that is one of the reasons why Washington State is not as bad as other parts of the country. New York City New Jersey Detroit so it's it's just insane the FDA and then when FDA did come out with the The test was flawed. Didn't work properly and they've repeatedly you've seen just like every couple of days I'll see another test coming out. It's a faster faster. Test Time. Fda approves this test. Well Guess What? They shouldn't have to approve it. Just be out there Dr Schwebel to use it and tested see if it works you can test test. Send them to me. I was tested myself. I'm Kobe positive. I'll be the Guinea pig. I don't care God I feel like I've been talking for like two hours but it's only been like fifty minutes anyway. I think I think I'm done. I don't know if I can do any more anymore to talk about. I don't know guys if you enjoyed this episode or if you don't I don't know either way you should join the lines of liberty pride because you know what it is the most bang for your buck out of any libertarian or political patron group out. There we give you. I would argue. We give more bonus content than anyone else out there definitely in the liberty movement but maybe any political podcast. I don't know somebody go fact. We're going to bring in Rangers TV Voice Dave Rehm and on the other side Rex Ryan made headlines this morning on. Espn because he was scathing on Amari Cooper who the Dallas cowboys just gave one hundred million dollar contract to and he said this guy disappeared as he stopped running as rows. He doesn't like football and quote. I would not have paid this turn. Let me just give it a little comparison. Amari cooper had more receiving yards last year than beyond Dre Hawkins. He had more touchdown catches than De'andre Hopkins. He had more yards per reception than the Andre Hopkins. So I guess you would say that the Andre Hopkins is also a Kurd first of all knowing Amari Cooper like I do and we're not best friends but I was there for his very first press conference in his first few years in the NFL and this guy is the most eyes on the prize. Looking dude. I've ever seen I remember. He was taking these questions at the press conference. Union's giving one word answers and then a man Henry Warford said. And we all Miss Baseball very very much right now. Everybody's trying to stay healthy and Dave was just here in this morning about your your lefty James Jones heap. He tripped over his son's toy at home he he tore a patellar tendon. He's out for the year. Let's go on wild rick. See that's why that's why the show so good because I hadn't even heard that yet But look there's your there's your first casualty to this. This whole You know stay at home and work at home thing. You knew something like that was going to happen. I guess eventually. But that's that is to say the least and not the last weird injury you're about From this this time period. We're in right now and a couple of days ago. We also got news that CINCH SUED. Hsu went out of his way to say that he was getting cut a check to every minor leaguer in the ranger system which is an unprecedented move and very kind one. And it's very easy for those of us who aren't multimillionaires to spend other people's Money. I mean you look and you'd say why is Mark Zuckerberg only giving twenty five mil? It's like it's twenty five million dollars. So what does this mean to minor leaguers who we know a lot of them literally our Door Dash guys right now. Yeah yeah it it. I mean it's a huge move on his part you know Major League baseball stepped in recently. The owners got together and they said that they would pay the minor leaguers all across the board four hundred dollars Whatever it was per per week or per month Through met and that's that was the nice and believe me very big gesture to a lot of those guys To coming out and throwing a thousand dollars and into the next is really big for these Rangers farmhands and I think you know it. They don't make very much money to begin with and so they weren't expecting to have You know real flush bank account during this time of year anyway but You know it's still makes a huge difference and and I think it also psychologically is a big deal to these guys know that that somebody cares and and if somebody cares as much to dip into their own wallet and their own personal life to take that time and reach out and chew you know. There's there's been public about it and you remember his days in the minor leagues and what it was like and it's tough. I spent twelve years as a broadcaster in the minor leagues that I can tell you. it's heartbreaking. Sometimes to see guys you know before they get on the bus after a homestand is done. We're ready to head out to some little hamlet somewhere reach into that envelope. That doesn't have very much money in it. To begin with like twenty dollars a day meal money and then hand it over to his fiance or girlfriend who climbs the truck and takes off and you realize that guy now has no cash for this next road trip to whatever it is Savannah and Columbus Georgia and and It's tough. It's a tough lifestyle for these guys to remembers it. He he specifically spoke about trying to avoid meals on the road and see if he could get as many as possible in the clubhouse so that he could save some money for diapers for his his son at home. And that's a reality. That's how these guys operate and how they work so it was. I think it's a really big deal what he did for these guys. It'll be long remembered by all of them and And it's just another example of what kind of person he is and it goes a little bit deeper ritual. He's just He's just a really really special individual that way the way he cares for others they also side note donated hundreds of thousands of dollars today in Korea You know town right near his hometown. It's really been struggling with this. And so I mean he he. He's just guy who cares about a lot of other people in and see things for what they are a lot. Bigger than than himself could good man in good gesture on his part very cool a couple more questions for Dave Ramsey with the Texas rangers. Just doing today Evan. Gattis yet another astro at the Mayo Culpa And he says that basically paraphrase that they don't deserve any sympathy. Where do you sit? Dave in the wide pendulum swing between Mike. Fires is a whistle blowing hero. Who changed the game for the better to a dirty snitch? Who doesn't understand clubhouse rules and is a scumbag. Where do you sit in those wide paintbrushes? There yeah yeah it's it's a it's a good question rick and and it's hard. It's hard to say that you come down on either extreme of that I think what he did. It was very interesting and and probably think long term good and he knows he knows the clubhouse culture. That's why he waited as long as he waited. I mean he didn't want to to throw himself in the middle of this. I think he was hoping that somehow either somebody else would say something. Maybe maybe the team as it changed over time would would behave differently. But you know. He got absolutely shelled toward the end of last year. You give a like six bombs in the first two innings And and a game in Houston and they just finally broken. You Know I. I can't say that for sure. I haven't talked to him about it. But but you know these guys. He has the story goes. He'd been telling teammates a be careful with this. I think word have been spreading. I can tell you. People people knew something was going on there It wasn't just. It wasn't just Mike. A lot of people knew a lot of people had had voiced concerns even a major league baseball but it was gonNA take an event like that obviously for Major League baseball to step in and for the light to really be shined on this issue and it's unfortunate for him that he has to be that guy but I think at the end he probably figured what the heck right I mean. It's it's it's GonNa be worth it and Somebody has to do it so I you know. I don't know if I applaud him but but I think he did the right thing and I think there's a guy who who's raising children boys You know I like to preach that all the time I just do the right thing and and I think in a way. I think he did question for you. The out here in Oakland as you know you you spent some time at the Stanford and at byline as well and you know that the Oakland call built in the sixties and the as trying very hard to get a new venue. I still regard the ballpark. Arlington is brand spanking new but twenty five years old is too old So you're moving into a brand new arena. Whatever we get there hopefully in July August whatever it is but What's it like seeing that? Go Up and the excitement around it. I was probably quietly against it when when it was announced and then as we got closer and closer to the end of our run at glide field I was. I was disappointed Because I I will tell you. Not only is it only twenty five years old but it has a very timeless beauty to it and it reminds me of old school parks and way back in the day. You know that the shied parks that no longer exist and it had it had a real beautiful exterior and even on the inside. It had a cathedral feels unique And so I was. I was a little heartbroken. Thank you bye to it especially than watching the other one Coming up out of the ground across the street and it looks very sleek and modern and didn't was not a vacuum. If at all of you know the great history in the game now since then I've got inside the new ballpark and it is unbelievable. It's gorgeous it's comfortable and it is unique in the way it's constructed. I think it's going to be just a very intense baseball watching experience. I think it's GONNA be a blast. It's really really different from what we've seen in years past and so I think they got it right and I think it's going to be wonderful It was tough to say goodbye but I am more than ready to say. Hello and I think in the weirdest ways the way things have played out. Now when that ballpark opens and fans go in locally here in this community it's going to be such a startig experience. There are people who are both sides of the fence about going into a new ballpark. But I think what it's going to represent as we open it and go in and we're all coming out of this whole episode. We're in the middle of right now with the with the corona virus. It's going to be such an incredibly emotional event for so many people and have ballpark as a result is going to represent so much more than simply a move to new ballpark very well. Said I don't even think of it that way. But you're right just real quick. How long did it take you before you bought a pair of cowboy boots well so I grew up in Nebraska and I had to work out boots as a kid I had to because I was not comfortable in those things and it just doesn't fit me? I don't you put me cowboy boots and put a cowboy hat on me and I look like a nail so it was not it was more of emasculating experience than big masculine for me. So it never fit my persona and the day. I don't really own any cowboy boots I have. I there is Dave Raymond. You can see him. Hopefully we get this thing going soon. It's just going to be you know webcams and skype and zoom or whatever and then by the time we roll around for camps in August. We'll be back normal right right right. Hello Bueller anyone. Well Dr Alan Sills. I had a missiles at Madeira School. She was not friendly doctor. Allen Sills is the chief medical officer for the National Football League and he says we might not have a season. Never Kurt. Herbstreet was talking about that now. He didn't say we it's not going to happen. He just said that certain things have to go down and he said that widespread testing would have to be available before the reopening of the League could even be complicated sill said that the availability of point care testing and where a test can be administered and the results returned quickly and by the way I hear all sorts of things going on that you can now have a test and get the results in a minute. I don't know if you and I can afford that but for the NFL. They probably could but he said that. That's a critical factor in determining when teams will be allowed to return to the facilities. And this is not widespread right now but he thinks it will be he said on the NFL network quote as long as we're still in a place where a single individual test positive for the virus that you have to quarantine every single person who is in contact with them any shape form or fashion then. I don't think you can begin to think about reopening a team sport because we're going to have positive cases for a very long time and quo so they're not under the gun. Excuse me for when they decide that the season is going to reopen but sills said that the players will have to be allotted some kind of time to know about when they need to get back in shape. I would tell doctors sills look they're already unchanged. Except for the real morons. That's in fact. All they're doing right now is staying home in their own gyms which they built into their house and they're indoor pool and their basketball court and their backyard luge course but it was a couple of weeks ago that Roger Goodell issued a team memo that said all offseason functions have been postponed teams had to get out of their facilities coaches and GM's working from home. There was an article in the Chronicle. A couple of days ago about Rick Welts. The President of the Warriors Getting Ready for scouting their pick for the draft which might be number one overall from his house. Excuse me the draft is less than three weeks away. We know that the virtual meetings are going on more than fifty prospects are taking part in that but sill says that it's still too early to say When large groups can get together and he talked about a vaccine. Will that be available? But we've heard a year and a half at the earliest because of human testing. Apparently from what I heard you probably have had to is that they have the vaccine they descend on the side effects. So if it grows you a third breast. You don't want to take it. I got rid of the krona virus. Now have horns so this is what they have to figure out so he said quote. I would say that starting the season on time is. Everyone's hope that we are in a position to do that. But the reality is none of us know. Those facts are certain right now. We hope and pray for the best and prepare for the worst realizing that one potential outcome that we will be back fully in business. Playing Games as normal in front of fans is on schedule but it is certainly not the only outcome and he concludes quote and I think what was implied that there was to say we are not at a point where we are saying that it is absolutely not going to happen so we should continue our planning and preparations as if we're going to be able to do that but obviously we're going to have to evaluate that along the way and follow what the recommendations are from public health officials and from our infectious disease experts and others. So there it is right. There are one other. Nfl Note. Tom Brady and Peyton. Manning are always going to be mentioned together because they played together at the same time and they had peaks and valleys and there was an interview with the former Patriots Corner High Law. W why who was asked a question about Brady. But then launched into a funny story about manning and law gets asked if he ever said anything to bring you the first time. He intercepted him when he was no longer in New England so we started to answer but he circled back to manning. Peyton would try to get you once you get to the Super Bowl. You're on the same team. Payton tried to get you drunk and then dig into your brain. He feeds you. These might ties Tries to get him drunk and get in. Dig into your brain. Look here wig. It's a little a little bizarre black. Tyler said that When he got back to the question about what he said to Brady he said He called them up said. I said Tom I've been playing with you for. I don't know how long your tendencies out there. First of all. What was you thinking about doing that? Move that you tried to throw that s to me. That was the problem and then he went on to explain the Brady did that. He made it easy for him to help him get back to the pro bowl well. These guys were teammates for five years together in that span. Those two guys won three superbowls together and then tile off course went to the jets after a decade in New England. Now I've always heard at the pro bowl. Whoever the rook is you just charge everything to his room. And at the end of the his stay there he gets a bill for forty five thousand dollars and food and drinks and stakes whatever and then everyone has a good laugh. Like what remember you in? Seven to one okay. Why wondered oddest wondering? Is that a good floor up there and then everything gets charged. John No wonder people skip the pro. It'll come back. Coast to coast around the world on American Forces Radio Network. It's our pleasure to be. Welcome now by author Ryan Swanson. He has a book called the strenuous. Life Theodore Roosevelt and the making of the American athlete which is available from diversion books. I'm a history major and I've read a couple of biographies about tr. He's a fascinating guy and in so many ways and yet. No one really thought about doing a book about this. And it's interesting Ryan because when you think about all tr meant to do not just physical fitness but the NCAA and plan sports and schools. Is it too simplistic to say that he started this whole thing? Yeah wreck thanks for having me It might be implicit but it's not far up You know if we look back Especially now when we're all kind of missing the rhythms and traditions of sports that were so used to You know it's useful to look back and it was. During the Roosevelt era that many of the things we really take for granted you know the World Series College. Football School based Sport The Olympic Games. All those kinds of things are really rooted in that turn of the twentieth century period. And Heroes. Who as you said? We know a lot of different things. has his fingerprints all over sports and so That was that was kind of the story. I wanted to tell what this book and the interesting thing is. This guy is not some strapping six foot. Four STALLION HE HAD ASTHMA. Kinda weekly looking. He had horrible eyesight and then he was told that he had a heart condition and he was told to never run again. It doesn't seem like he would be the guy to lead this charge. Yeah you're right You know if you look back at his story Part of it. It's been told a lot is the fact that yeah. You've got really terrible. Asthma as a child so terrible in fact that he lives kinda quarantine life that we're living today he doesn't go outside much. He's not allowed to go to school. you know. In his early teen years he then turns to athletics and Sports as a way to get himself kind of caught up physically But throughout his life no he's never a great athlete. He's always fighting his weight His wife was kind of magic him to take a few pounds off. He's like a teenager. Basically the calorie numbers never quite work out You know and when I think of Roosevelt in some ways it's equivalent to that that guy you see in the gym who maybe wearing SPANDEX are a little bit too tight. And he's going crazy on the treadmill and he wants to tell you about his latest sports injury and all these kind of things I mean. That's Roosevelt He. He struggles with it But he's really exuberant. Kinda crazy too ya not to mention what he did on San Juan Hill and everything else that he did. It's like right but yeah yeah he. I didn't realize this until I started reading your book that he played tennis every day and that he would invite people over. And there's a great story in the beginning of your book about a guy who would be horrified saying. Please please. Don't let me be on. The same team is the president. Yeah that's right Morris Murray is one of many civil servants who gets called to the White House Sometimes people would be called for a meeting and it would turn into tennis in the case of Lawrence. Maria called for tennis match and he thinks okay. You know there's going to be a pretty simple genteel kind of thing. So he buys some tennis close He gets to the White House. He doesn't want to be on Roosevelt's team doubles because he's worried about the pressure there But you know in kind of the way that they pick up teams. He ended up with Roosevelt. It goes okay until it starts raining. At which point Murray's like this is great. I've done it. I haven't embarrassed myself. Now will probably retire to the White House or some and conversation But it's at that point. The Roosevelt Perfect Let's head off into the mud and Muck of Rock Creek Park for a run and so they head out there and Murray is in his new tennis whites. He's Outta shape and long story short he gets. Kinda stuck in the mud and left behind in the wilds of Rock Creek Park. And this is not atypical of the way Roosevelt's afternoons transpired. What would you say about later in life when you know he he said I only want one term and then he regretted it so he had to start the Bull Moose Party? And then he attacks taft as old. Vp? And it was. It was a lot of bad blood and then his son Clinton got shot down and World War wine and the Germans are taking pictures with his body. They said that tr was never the same after that was he's still doing the physical activity after all these these tragedies and challenges he Yeah he he he keeps at it his whole life and Um and you said it well you know he as he leaves the White House. He has a lot of regrets. He's a relatively young man. He's fifty years old really young for a former president and he wants the presidency back. You know he thinks he can do better than tap. Despite the fact that they were close friends at one time and in loses a son and do all these things he keeps at it physically keeps wrestling boxing. Still and one of the favorite things that I discovered in writing this book was late. In Life You know when he's fifty eight years old. Roosevelt you know submit themselves to a two week training camp where he turns himself over to a former professional boxer and you know like six seven times a day. He does medicine ball weightlifting. Then he runs a half a mile then he showers and takes US Donna And so even at fifty eight which is really fifteen months before he dies. Resume is still going after it. He sees this idea of the strenuous life as a whole life Kind of challenge and then correct me if I'm wrong. But he got like invited to Argentina to do some lectures and he said I know what I'm GonNa do. I'm going to go into the Amazon and I'm GonNa be a hunter. And then he go with one of his sons and he almost died down there. Yeah that's right. So after he leaves the White House in nineteen o nine he takes a you know a a long expedition Through Africa and then Europe and then after that yet he goes through the Amazon There's a fabulous book called the river of doubt about it. And you know He. He doesn't kind of similar typical Roosevelt style. He's got all kinds of excitement and Gusto for the experience. He packed like forty books that he can't be without despite the fact he's on the river. It's yeah he contracts You Know Tropical Disease Malaria Like and never is really the same after that. And so that's you know. He has a terrible courage accident where he breaks a bone in his leg early in his presidency. Which kind of he he struggled with for the rest his life. He gets blinded in a boxing match in nineteen. Oh six in his left eye And then he goes to the Amazon and never really the same so his body takes a real physical toll. And if you add it out you know the terrible. Asthma needs a kid The fact that he passes away at sixty His body was was was tired by that point. Got Questions for Ryan Swanson. The new book the strenuous life boxing. I don't think any of us would be surprised that that he boxed everybody. Kinda boxed back then but to hear that he did. Ju Jitsu to me. Jujitsu is something that we kind of discovered in the nineties. But I'm sadly mistaken when it comes to that Wendy. When did he get involved in Jujitsu? Yeah so when? He's governor of New York and then president so turn of the twentieth century there Roosevelt is you know maybe more than anything else. He's curious so he's always reading. He's always writing letters. You write about one hundred and fifty thousand letters during his lifetime And he begins to learn about Jujitsu and what it does for the mind and the body and so he invites several did to teachers Two the governor's mansion in New York and then later the White House in Washington DC. And the way he does. It often the invite sensitive to give his sons instruction But Roosevelt never last more than a few minutes without kind of jumping in and getting right the center of it. So you know. He's really he's really interested in you. Know Making one's body stronger in order to function better as an American into think better and so Yeah he on. Did you get through train Long before Most Americans even know what that is whenever somebody takes on a project like this you're going to discover some things and this is why writing a book to tell us what you've discovered what what is maybe one of the more bizarre things you found out about t. r. like a pension to do something or this or that. What would be one of those things? What are the bizarre thing you find out a lot. I mean Roosevelt story has been much told taking the sports angle with a different angle but A couple a couple of things I found One of the things that I point out in the book is that Roosevelt. Love sports across the board with one exception He has what I call a Cold War with baseball throughout his entire presidency. And so what happens is Roselle will. Yeah and that's the national game at the time right so it really kind of stands out So Roosevelt gives everything attention. Big College football fan. He's a advocating for tennis and wrestling and boxing. And you know he's writing about speaking about all these things and so baseball leaders really start to wonder. Hey you know what about us? And so You Know Ban Johnson example. The president of the American League comes to visit rose about the White House gives roosevelt a golden ticket and really almost begged him come to an come to American league. Game come to a professional baseball game. Reservoir takes it. You know. Thanks him and never uses it. The same thing happens again. The next year he gets another Golden Ticket and Roosevelt. Kind of shunned baseball In a way which I found kind of funny both sides are back and forth in baseball. Basically it's knees telling you. Please give us some attention. and Roosevelt's daughter will stay at one point that father believes baseball's a mollycoddle game I don't know about you wreck. I don't use that word very much. Basically you know Luther Baseball's what's he game And so I think this back and forth between baseball which doesn't fit Roosevelt's ideas of what sport should be Was the story which which I really enjoyed. And then of course there's all these stories of Roosevelt Getting out He loves to do what he called. Point to point runs or point to point hikes and so he had his secret service taken out five six seven miles from the White House. Drop him off. Usually with a couple of unsuspecting. You know civil servants and then as best they could they would try to make a straight line back to the White House so through through rivers over you know over the hills in between them sometimes they would cut through somebody's house And Roosevelt had kind of an enthusiasm and passion for exercise which I think. A lot of adults losing their forties and fifties. Certainly you know stuggles doubled to kind of keep it fun like that. So I think that kind of enthusiasm and The baseball stories. Some of his crazy hike he goes he goes naked through the Potomac river at one point with the ambassador of France. And you can kind of imagine if anybody had been that but those kinds of stories were fun to find just looking at your your background and that you taught it George Mason and now you're at New Mexico. I just think what what would you say? Is the biggest distinction between Fairfax Virginia and Albuquerque. Yeah is a big change. affects county. Virginia is one of the wealthiest counties in the United States You know it's always up top to three and so I love teaching George Mason but many of the students were probably much better off than I was you know and not i. Don't I don't begrudge that but there's just a level of affluence in in in Virginia which is different. And when I got to Albuquerque New Mexico Knowing Nolan. Our family moved here really for the job. New Mexico's a really strange and wonderful place And there's a lot of struggles in New Mexico economically over the years but there's a passion and there's a vibrancy and diversity here That's been it's been really great experience and I work a little bit with our with our Athletic Department and Passion for the Lobos which don't probably resonate nationally for. Most people is a big deal here so they love their college sports here as opposed to a place like George Mason where I don't know the Patriots don't draw many many fans to their events. So yeah it's been different. But I've I've I've really enjoyed in Enjoyed Fairfax for the time out. There I call it. The land of enchantment catch on anything. I believe it has got on. The land of enchantment takes a little bit too to kind of get get your head wrapped around the once. You're here people. Tend not to leave so we're doing it. Yeah I had Brian Urlacher on my show. A couple months ago we were. We were talking about New Mexico's well. It's a fascinating place. I had a roommate in college. Who is from Santa Fe so I need to get down there but before we do that. We're all so we need content and I can't think of a better match between sports and history and my two favorite topics. One of the best soccer players of all time Julie Foudy of course now a television pundit as well and the host of the ESPN podcast called laughter permitted. And Julie I should stress that you say laughter and donuts permitted is that right Always always rick donors for good for the soul. Yes now so much has gone on lately outside of the corona virus and everything else but just right before this of course we know about the lawsuit with the the Soccer Federation The language from the lawyers about how to paraphrase you know women didn't face the same pressures as mandated in same face competition which ended up having Carlos darrow resign. And so now you're old teammates. Cindy parlow or Cindy parlow common. I should say Is IN CHARGE? I mean it's just so much has happened after nothing happened forever. Where where do we stand right now with the federal? Put the federation. Yeah it's a great point. After not much movement. In the last six months to a year on that equal pay lawsuit. There was suddenly a a bolt of energy. That went into this Well as you mentioned. Carlos resigned after that twenty six hundred page Greece soccer file. That essentially argued that women were inherently inferior and didn't do the same job and so shouldn't be paid as much and You can you can Understand how well that went over with sponsors and fans and The public Cindy has come in and the good news is is They also hired beyond having a player and a woman president now with Cindy they hired a CEO. And that's really been part of the issue I think at. Us Soccer is. They haven't had anyone at the helm of the ship The CEO position has been vanquished. And they've been they were on their second search to find one so they brought in a gun. And we'll Wilson who comes from Wasserman which is a huge agency that represents actually a lot of the players on the National Team. So he gets that side of it he also has a lot of. Nfl background He ran NFL MEXICO NFL Europe so bilingual. I mean he's got all that the The resume it seems like on paper. I don't know Little Wilson but I think that is a good step because finally they have someone then. Us often become hopefully provide some leadership in some good six. No doubt and you know and I grew up having to root for my heritage. Because you know we miss the World Cup for forty years. It wasn't until I was out of college before we got to Italian ninety with men and so I have zero sympathy for the men's team if they can't get out of key for women but especially if you can't get out of concacaf you don't belong in the World Cup so we miss out. On a World Cup cycle cynical Galati holds on holds on. He finally resigns and so it was up for election and I was very naive thinking that Eric Wynalda had a chance. I had eric on my show like three times. I was campaigning for them. It just went to Cordeiro who admitted he had never watched soccer until he was fifty years old. He admitted that and then he admitted that he didn't even read what the lawyer said and he goes. I mean it just didn't think it would get worse and it did so I have hope now with Cindy but people will say okay. Now what are you GonNa do so that I never really thought about it but stressing that whole CEO thing? That's going to be huge. You think I do because the president mind you is a volunteer position and before Senio Galati who you mentioned. Who was the president before Carlos? Cordero you know it was largely just a figurehead position. And they would pop into negotiations of course and they would have some say in how things worked at at the federation but the day to day nuts and bolts of running the organization and directing it and leaving. It always happens with the CEO and for many years we had a CEO and dance land and When he retired last year that's when they started the search for the new one and they were going to hire within and then there was a revolt within. And you know there's a lot of a matching this at US soccer But they had been without essentially someone that was running running all of you soccer and especially given everything. They're facing so Carlos was put an thrust into position and a volunteer position where he was essentially running the show and I just don't think he had the right instincts for that And whether his intentions were good. Or not. If you're if you're president and you're not looking or understanding what is happening in a twenty. Six hundred page reconciling especially with how they filed it. And what they're you know. Central argument was Then you know there. There was no hassle for him for sure so they need to get someone in there. That has better instincts most importantly and is how to run a business and they're sitting six lawsuits right now so talking about money. That's just getting shelled out lawyers. Its it's a waste of money in my opinion speaking with Julie Foudy Vlatko Antonoff. Sqi Is if you've been falling women's soccer you know he's an experience guy. But you know you go from Jill Alice to this guy and we're like who. What can we what everyone everyone that I've talked to is like this guy is going to be a great fit and I have full faith that they wouldn't have selected him. I knew who ans- endurance was coming from North Carolina. So what more can you tell us about? Dot Co. Yeah. People obviously didn't know much about block go unless you follow the women's Professional League which is where he coached He first started with Kansas City and won two titles with them and then They removed Unfolded and moved to Utah but he went onto to coach at Seattle in Seattle. So people from the women's pro world like the soccer diehard women's soccer Do all about VLATKO. But when you say his name and he's from northern Macedonia guy you know he's not an American one to Lewis and but actually he's been And I heard this. I don't I hadn't known black. Oh well before. He took this position that I've sat with him quite a bit as we've called. Games and and for ESPN. What but do a player. No one ever says about word about them. One they love 'em technically and tactically. He has a great brain for the game. He's so smart super detailed very thorough And to which is always the hardest component. I think for coaches is. He's a great player manager he's great with interpersonal skills and he's a communicator and players. Love Him and he pushes them yet. He knows the balance of Both those things and so they. They have loved him. The players have loved him because he's new voice she's a new style And it's just a fresh voice a fresh style. Take nothing away from Jill Ellis who won two World Cups Right. We know how good she was the coach. But sometimes you just need a new voice in there been with the team for a very long time and so They have been thrilled to have him at the helm right now and then finally laughter permitted. Espn podcast I mean the one thing that you do so well on TV is. You're just so easy to talk to and understand and approachable. You're not high and mighty but you're not boring. You just have very. Your style is perfect for this but you interview. People outside of soccer A lot of women in sports but I know you got to sit down last year with Marie Carrillo and just as an aside when I was sixteen years old in one thousand nine hundred one I worked as a As a gopher more or less at the Avon tennis tournament in In at the Oakland Coliseum and here I am a sixteen year. Old Guy Nineteen eighty-one Mary. Carillo was on TV. She was one of the. I've been in sports over thirty years. She's of the nicest people I have ever met. And she treated me like a king and I was just high school kid. I mean that's just just. Can you talk a little bit about Mary? Yeah you know. That's it's so true when I were after I retired from playing. I worked for NBC at the Two Thousand Six Olympics in Torino and And it was a winter Olympics and I was just getting into the industry into sports broadcasting and I was learning. Nbc was teaching me how to features together and just do basic stories and things like that and Carrillo was of course covering the Olympics over there and She took me under her wing. And and just walking the halls of of the embassy compound and it literally is a compound Olympics. She would know people she would say hi to every single person and not only would she know their name right and imagine this is they said hundreds of people every two four years depending on. Winter Summer Olympics that she doesn't work with on a regular basis. She would know every single person's name and she would ask about their kids and it wasn't just. Hey how are your kids? Hey how's Bob how Sally House Jane? What's happening last time we talked it? Was You know she knew everything about them and I told her? Oh my God that is amazing. Carrillo and she just comes miles and has roars or hers. Great last But that to me I agree with you. Like that's how I judge people like you know. I did an interview with David Beckham. And the first thing he did is he took every person on the set from the audio guy to the stage manager to the camera guy you know to every single person. They walked up and introduced himself on my right on. I like you already so that that's Carrillo. She's she's a giant in the industry as well with Broadcasting just love her she was a great one for the podcast? Great stuff great stuff from Julie. Eight hundred eight seven eight play as time goes on becomes increasingly likely that the NBA NHL will not be able to hold a semblance of a regular postseason in fact several teams and League officials in the NBA. Think that any traditional postseason format is already out of the question. This is according to Chris. Mannix of sports illustrated any relation to the detective. Back IN THE SEVENTY S. I don't know but it makes sense because the playoffs are supposed to start in a few weeks and there is no end in sight to this horrible fricken virus. That's going around the world so with these logistical goal obstacles the NBA still. And I. Don't blame them. They haven't given up on crowning champions yet they. We talked about This week the idea of maybe holding a Justin Vegas and that every tear would player would be tested first than they would be combined into quarantined hotels and training facilities but the quarantining in one location with Vegas. He sent sixteen teams to play in an empty arena. Now you could say well. Let's just look at the bright side. How cool a one time? Hopefully of event that will bring the game back and get the fans watching and the revenue flowing through the coffers again and I'm sure players would resist the idea of decamping under one roof. Lebron didn't like it. But if this means the paychecks keep coming and a champion gets crowned. Then maybe they could do it because the season of course has been suspended since March eleventh when Rudy Gobert tested positive for the current virus so there are a few teams. That say it's done and he's saying not yet. One eight hundred eight seven eight play. You might have noticed when I was speaking with Dave Raymond earlier with the Rangers that Evan Gattis I said it was an latest guy to quote unquote. Apologize Apologize and like auto and a fish called one but that's been three months since. Mlb put up their report on using technology to steal signs in two thousand seventeen on the world series and in the time since the Astros have kind of avoided taking full responsibility for it. I think it's interesting when Dave said that. When fires got shelled at minute maid had he thought. Okay that's it. I'm sick of it. I'm telling on them. Wow on a Nigga that but you might think that with this corona virus and Major League baseball being played like today was supposed to be giants opening day which I always go to because I get a credential go to opening day for about three innings and then I go to a couple of these games and maybe one other or two average about five giants games here because the credential and they have a nice press box and nice food and it's down the street but you would be wrong if you think this would be an end of any apologies coming out right now. Because Evan Gattis who's now retired he went on the seven. Five five is real podcast. Which is something from the athletic and he let her rip he said quote. Everybody wants to be the best effing world player man we cheated. Yeah for sure. We obviously cheated baseball on cheated fans. I'm not asking for sympathy or anything like that. If our punishment is being hated by everybody forever just like whatever? I don't know what should be done but something had to be effing done. I agree with that big time. I do think it's good for baseball. That were cleaning it up and understand that it's not effing good enough to say sorry. I get it and so this was reprinted in the New York Post and the post has a full collection of quotes the dive into from Gaddis including him beating back against the narrative as the kids would say that Carlos Beltran made young players. Go along with it. But another were noteworthy comment is that he has no problem with Mike fires quote. He had something to say so he had something to epping say and then we had to get punished because if we're not then what it effing get even more out of control. I mean it's a test subject. Yeah I think a lot of people feel do and I understand Gaddis. Of course by the way was one of those guys who is he? A catcher first baseman is found him in a bar somewhere and dragged him out the braves. Wasn't you're brave anyway but. Gaddis six big league seasons three with the Astros and those three years with Astros hit ninety. Six home runs. The funny thing is his best. Season was two thousand sixteen which was the year before. This was all supposed to have begun. That's interesting but yeah Gaddis to me. Seems like the type of guy who would more or less. Tell it like it. Is You know what I mean. And it also feels like a guy who Perhaps maybe every home run he hit was against the as the that's at least that's what it felt like because that guy always just turned around and And got it going now? One more note Justin Turner of the dodgers has an interesting solution. Two extra inning games if we start playing again. And he's made a simple proposal. He said instead of playing seventeen innings. You get one extra inning you play the Anthony and no one scores. Then you go to a home run Derby you take it each team's three best hitters and you give them all five outs and see who hits the most homers and quote. Well I mean we have shootouts and hockey But who would throw the WHO would throw the BP who would throw it. Now it should be noted that the K B O. I'll talk a little bit more about that in Kevin's body odor now the Korean baseball organization. Their Games are considered a tie after twelve innings in the regular season anyway. Which of course is weird. But according to baseball reference two hundred and eight games last year went into extra innings during the season so had turner's Homerun Derby being affect than one hundred seventeen of them about fifty six percent funny. They usually end in ten fifty. Six percent hundred seventeen games would have had to have ended with a slugfest now. This will not be implemented. Mlb has experimented with different methods of speeding up the game in the past but that could be the one thing that'd be like wait a minute game. I think he should just take your champion to put it in medieval terms now. Three guys with five outs each. Take freaking forever Justin One guy and you could say it has to be the guy who was gonna hit next now but then of course you go to three extra inning games in a row and then you're slugger gets tired. I don't know but you know this whole thing about i. Think with all the time off they had. They should be playing. Seventeen Games. Did you hear micro call you a handsome genius I did and he's it's just we're just kidding around here When I had on a corner quarrel on the show if she had called me that I would really remembered it but anyway thanks Mike The spread of the Krona viruses. Delayed baseball season. We know but the Astros and the red sox actually got some good news today. I'll get to that good news in a second. But let's go to hell's kitchen and it's not Clinton but it is Charlie. What'S UP Charlie? Rick how're you? My friend That game lashed the game. That the gentleman you were speaking to a Mike Fire. She gave a pen earned. Runs in the first thing In Houston. I think that was the game that he decided that he was going to blow the whistle If I'M NOT MISTAKEN. Tenor tenor runs in the first inning. 'cause I remember that game distinctly because as are rolling I think at that time and then I check I check my phone. It was ten nothing and then now everything after the fact that I think that I I agree. I think that was the I think he gave up like five or six months after sending real Raider Oils not bad in the world of the contract with the apple fallen through. I saw that they picked up that guy from the browns Randall. Or whatever then yet another player I've never heard of but Going forward now. There's they have two number ones as we. Now you know I keep I simply looking at mock drafts but assuming they a receiver with that twelve does it. Do you think they're going to go with a live? I let me back up First question if they had a choice Simmons as as I asked is because he's available or any of the receivers available at twelve. Who WOULD YOU GO? You know? It's hard when you when you think about you know you talk about high and weighed and and who ran the fastest and all that but for me when I look at wide receivers. I can't pass on Jerry Judy. I think he's my favorite one. I have to go with him. I over the other I again. I don't know much about college football but locks his name was Henry. Henry. Rugs is the speedster. Yeah right and CD. Lambs got good size. You ask you take you over. Rooks I would. I would take Judy overact. He just he just did more for longer than rugs to me is. A is a great town. And he's GonNa get picked up by somebody but I I'll take. I'll take Jerry Judy. Would you go with a quarterback? Now that looks like every cornerback. The raiders have tried to get have sorta flown through Or would you ask guys there? Listen IF JORDAN. Love is they're not going to pass Take Him. He'll be two two intriguing but I mean if they if they don't go wide receiver they're Justin Jefferson. The wide receiver is there. They probably take him and then other. Lsu Guy the corner there's Christian Fulton who's been going up the boards. Kenneth Murray the linebacker to Oklahoma shooting. Boards it right now. Patrick Queen will be there if they lie. I'm not a big Patrick Queen Guy. I think he's GonNa be okay but Those guys will all be there as well and if they WANNA go edge rusher. Gross maddow's epinay as those guys will still be there but if love is there and they're not gonna I agree. I think if love is available if he's still there in nineteen take them and then some mock drafts have them taking a twelve. Because there's a lot of receivers a lot of good quality receivers take something available in nineteen are. That's all. I got be safe my friend. I'll talk to you next week. We can you Charlie. Thank you very much. That's the Great Charlie out there in New York City and the lines are available. I love talking draft. This is what people say. Oh boy the reader. Look I I don't I ain't going to vegas but I ain't GonNa miss on that my favorite team my whole life. I'm not gonNA fall the draft anymore. I don't care. Thank you ever cared if you drop it like that. But as I said the Astros and red sox got good news today. What does that pray tell? Well the federal judge Jed Rakoff has now dismissed the lawsuit against the teams by daily fantasy sports players concerning their improper use of technology. Still signs in the twenty seventeen in two thousand eighteen seasons as thirty two page ruling and judge rakoff concluded that the players claim at the Astros and red sox. Misconduct CAUSED THEM HARM. He said was too attenuated. And here is a little blurb. A sport that celebrates stealing if only obeys may not provide the perfect encouragement to scrupulous play nor canopy denied that an overweening desire to win may sometimes lead our heroes to employ forbidden substances substances on their spitballs there corked bats or even their steroid consuming selves. But as Frank Sinatra famously said to Grace Kelly in the nineteen fifty six movie musical High Society. There are rules about such things. That's very interesting and you can tell that the judge he He likes to get into a little pros there. Doesn't he. Now one thing to keep in mind the astros are not completely in the clear legally now with the League. Of course. We're the red sox you know rob Manfred. Yeah Yeah Yeah we gotta get that done. It's done is it done. Yeah well announce it. When it's done you get an ounce it yeah I will this. Give me a second but remember Mike Bowl singer. His Final Big League appearance on the bump he gave up hits two seven of eight batters against the Astros. He still has that lawsuit that he requests the team force. It thirty one million dollars in bonuses from winning the World Series and then he says take that money and give it to L. A. Best charities to create a fund for retired baseball players. Who are in need of some financial assistance. So He's not selling for thirty one million dollars for himself. You ruined my career. He's just trying to take away their bonuses and put it in place. The Astros also have a season ticket holder who filed a lawsuit filed a lawsuit against the team Alleging breach of contract negligence negligence and violations of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. And so they're seeking a million dollars for full and partial season ticket holders from the last four seasons I love that though the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. This all started with some bad horse-trading back in the day. Maybe it did then Major League you know I'll get Let's get to IT Major League Baseball. Wasn't I just talking about it? Yeah I was but what people are talking about. Changes TO THE DRAFT. With only five rounds. And you think. Oh that sucks for these high school kids and what about scouts now? Major League Baseball is expected and this was a couple of sources have said they're expected to allow scouts to resume contact with amateur players on their families. Soon they think is early as next week. That had been banned in mid way in mid-may if I could talk as means of preventing getting a competitive advantage during this time now. The news isn't all good on the scouting side because a permanently shorter draft could lead to consolidating your staff of scouts their or the zones atmosphere scouts are assigned to cover and then you think a number of teams have issued notices to segments of this guy in apartments that could become furloughed and may. I mean pro scouts who focus on the minors they would probably take the brunt of the hit. The the fear is those jobs will never return even if everything gets back to normal again so a lot of people had hoped a minimizing the draft financially. You know steer teams away from layoffs are dismissals but they may serve as a bigger picture dismissal for those guys who did it so what this means for the draft classes this year and the next four years with the altered compensation rules and the NCAA's decision to permit seniors and share of eligibility. There's a good deal of volatility as it pertains to the next three draft classes one scout told. Cbs sports quote. I'm most interested to see what happens with the tier of higher profile high school seniors. Who are committed to schools? That are obviously more crowded. After the ruling do they offer the Juku route and try to reenter. What is an uncertain draft situation next year or do some of them become more sign -able from our perspective and quote what we know now. Some people believe that the rule change will actually end up benefiting the classes of two thousand twenty two and twenty twenty three. Because this year's best high school talent is going to go to college and another thought. Is that these next couple. Classes could be loaded if unsure high school players. Go to junior college which you don't have to go through for a year to be dropped eligible bryce Harper so. I mean minor league teams. Mlb was already planning to get rid of forty two minor league teams prior to the pandemic but a lot of sources of agreed that the league appears to be leveraging that situation. But I mean major league. Baseball is going to jump at this. And it's going to be there excuse for their contraction plans that the logic is there's going to be fewer players draft the next two years. There's not as many roster spots that means we don't need these teams. Mlb's ultimate objective is to get rid of those teams and if you give the cash flow considerations they wanna go ahead and go forward on that but future labor talks. I mean the players Union has made concessions that have harmed players for the benefit. Tomorrow's par players the benefit of today's. We know that we know that players are given teams amateur pool bonus limits domestically and internationally. They got the hard slogging. You've got the gut version of the draft. You got the service time issue. All these things are going to pop up right now so everything is about major league players. Not many people getting a lot of thought to the minor league players right now our total. We'll take a quick break. We'll come back sports. Bring a new the programming I saw an article the other day that was comparing The players who lost time to the players in baseball history to now. And they're trying to compare Willie mays who went away for a season and a half or the Korean War and Ted Williams who will work to antiquarian or two trying to compare it to the time that Mike Trout as losing right now and what that means and I thought it. It's such a stupid comparison that I can't. I can't get past the first paragraph. You can't compare missing. We don't know how much time Mike Trout is. GonNa Miss Right now. I I get the gist of it. A guy is in his prime right and he should be playing Willie mays when he came back from Korea that first season he the MVP and so people like. Oh my gosh so he missed out on an MVP name he did. Maybe he didn't. It was just a different time. And there's no way a professional athlete would go outside of a you know if you look at Pat and what he did it Arizona. State the that'd be about it but it's just to compare the time that a guy loses because of a shutdown over a pandemic versus finding for your country for multiple years. It's kind of a weird comparison. I think as I said we don't even know how much time mitroff you ain't GonNa Miss Right now. If you want to say oh. What if he was healthy?
