Hello, people might be surprised to learn this. We have the same parents say mother and father. Yeah. Our father, put the same genetic material into our mother, okay? Isn't that crazy? That's how we all start from this, like weird explosion of like ecstasy, and then people get like baptism. Get wrapped in pink, and it's all like dressed up fans and that we have a podcast because of that little explosion. Well, I'll tell you who stop listening, definitely our father, probably our mother. This is a weekly show. A weekly interview show. We're gonna be talking to actors musicians thinkers, mute. We're gonna have a lot of mutes on 'em mines. We're gonna really get into it with mimes. We want to know how they get the most out of life. Really? Because as we sabotaged life is short. Yeah. And we wanna ask bigger questions like you know what's your favorite emoji? Let's say and, and speaking of emojis. Do you believe in God stuff like that? But our guest today is Neil, Patrick, Harris Neil, somebody that we've both known for a long time, and always had fun with nails. One of the most playful. Interesting curious people, I've ever known, and we're going to be talking a little bit about the world of drag Neil, and his husband David, have a documentary coming out called wig, which is all about weak stock, which is a cultural movement, that's been happening for many years in New York. And so I hope you guys enjoy my conversation with Neil Patrick Harris. I hang out with only doorbell guys. Yeah. That's that's the one requirement. It's warm in here for you soon. But, but you strike me, as somebody who I, I can't imagine a Christian. I often say this that it's rare combination to be confident and not Dushi. You know, you have that you possess that you are known by every, I mean, you very recognizable recognizable face. How does that again? Not a good thing or a bad thing. I've, I'm sure that came with its own frustrations. But what were the what were the what were the bonuses of that? And what were the event? Yeah, yeah. Like get into clubs, really in LA without any kind of fake ID, or anything did you do that? I did. Yeah, yeah, I would flirt with drew Barrymore's mom. Oh, really? You. Flirt him. Jade Jade get into the club. Are you being serious super serious kidding? So you might have way more partying when I was nineteen and twenty then I and I had a fake ID. My friend. Chuck got me a good fake ID over in downtown. LA fifty bucks. Other exciting. Didn't need it because I was on the TV show. I think it was when Webster would come in. Emmanuel Lewis webby in the corner. It was like, right. It's Neil Patrick Harris over and that side of what would let me into thinking? I, I didn't look like I was twenty one and tell us about thirty four right? Yeah. You're young young looking kit. What was your fake ID name? No, as my own name. Okay. It was thunder bolt Harris so weird MD pay. Why three names, did you ever think about just Neil hair, always another? Neil Harris otherwise in the Screen Actors Guild. Okay. Speaking of the drag circuit, drag queens, inappropriate words, still try Queen clean. Yeah. Queens, gray queens. Great. I mean I say no. Drag for a living. But I think queens, do you remember that bar on I and I called Waikiki walis? Oh, why can't you always was like a Tiki bar right next door to that? Curio key drag bar called lucky Chang's. Oh, cool. Lucky Chang's in the first time I ever said, I was an actor out loud was at lucky Chang's. We would go cool to get all liquid up. You'd have ambi- one of those drinks, they all the, the flaming and, and then you go through the kitchen to lucky changs, and I, I was doing a show Ed the show Ed nice, you episode of. And and we were all there and we hadn't been on the area. And the hostess for the show was Anita cocktail, and she was just surly, and fierce and I signed up, and I went up to sing, and she was cute, Honey. What's your name? And I said, it's, it's Justin she goes and what do you do for a living? And I said, well, and I looked at my cast mates. And I was like, I'm an actor. And she goes so am idea. I'm an actress what restaurant you work. And I thought, well, you know, I don't work at a restaurant in. I'm actually an actor just an actor. And she goes, yeah. And where do you where else do you work? And I said, I got really nervous, and she said, you know what I've a friend who refuses to say that he he's an actor and refuses to say what barista in works, and I'm an actress and I worked here and I'm proud of it, and you should be too, which taunts me the microphone. It's a great introduction. And I just go Russia chess is a. Always been interested just staring daggers, but okay, quick question. The speaking short. Yeah. DVD. What is your most commonly used emoji on your phone? Oh, probably the, the rose emoji, my mother. And I when we text each other always end with a double rose or multiple roses. It's just like our sort of thing. And also, the, the eggplant and reward Trump said, and you get the cherries in front of that, and you got the whole package or peach, peach. Yeah. Ending on or this. If you this is not a shoreline. Maybe but if you could give to twenty year old speaking of that guy back in that room, who is like trying to figure it out with his male friends. If you could give him advice now twenty year old Neil about anything, but, like, really solid advice you sit him down for like thirty seconds. What would you say? Oh, wow. That's really cool question. Do you want to know what Neil said next? Well, you're going to have to listen to the rest of my interview with Neil, and with lots of other guests.
