DLD 288: Hoppity hopper

YOU'RE LISTENING TO DOTS. Lines and destinations travel. Podcast with host Stephen Seagraves Vase Moon and said Miller win. Welcome to episode two hundred eight of DOTS lines and destinations. I'm Steven Seagraves. Joined by Seth Miller doing. I'm doing all right Tired today yet. It's groundhog day here. How you doing again like I said earlier. Yeah it's actually also a little weird for me. Because I think this is my second podcast and third audiovisual recording today. But all nice and there's some topics but I'm GonNa try to say unique an interesting things. This what's What other shows should we listen for your good question? I'm on Ashok this week. Okay which that Flaring or twenty four guys and Inmarsat which is one big flat inactivity and satellite operator companies is doing a online sort of Sort of an all day seminar next Wednesday the twenty ninth talking about all things passenger experience in flight connectivity. But also the news and other developments seating and I'll just all sorts of really interesting stuff sort of replacing Aircraft Interiors not replacing trying to get some similar content produced and we all miss starbucks show in Hamburg the beginning of the month so did a test run of what that video is. GonNa look like so. We can be ready to have something to go for next Wednesday. So it's A. It's been a sick day for me. Post the links in the show notes. Sure I should probably member do that idea. I'll send you a note to remind you assistant producer this week. I like to talk about. I think some of the one of the big ones the Kinda hit the news today on. We're recording this on on Tuesday. The twenty-first April Air Canada is temporarily suspending all transporter flights with the US They had previously cut back to just eleven route from twenty six or so or alone destinations from twenty six But I gotta be. I'm a little surprised they were running still running that many. This goes back to like. Why is North America's still flying planes when no one else is in a lot of ways but that's an interesting point right like why? Why are there so many flights United States? Something I've noticed is like there's a huge number of southwest flights compared to the rest of the carriers. Yes actually just chatting with someone about that literate before we started southwest today ran about thirty five percent of. It's normal schedule where everybody else's Attended twenty and up until now had been running close to fifty and on the one hand. You could say you know. Gosh that some gumption. They've got the spirit Bad Pun. Sorry they're gonNA keep moving no matter what serve customers that need to go Also I think it's stupid also like you know. Post nine eleven. They kept flying their full schedule because they wanted to be there. And yet for the quick bounce back but this is not going to be a quick bounce back and I just don't understand it. Yeah yes I mean your question about Air Canada similar I think they were flying these destinations y. Yeah I mean the borders closed to non-essential travel right. I mean it's not even like we really don't think you should. You gotta go to like a immigration officer and be like no no. This is actually important. Sorry you have to let me in record. We were told if we needed to go to Canada. We need paper on a good day fighting with the Canadian Border Patrol for other people. I've never had promised but I've heard great stories from you and others about the troubles. That can come. Yeah I just I don't get I don't get why anyone WANNA fight with border patrol officers at any level but like pushing your luck on that and so there can't have been that many people like where they are Canadians for the last three weeks. That have been like. Oh I'll just go back on the next flight now. I still got some work to do here. I it just doesn't make sense to me. Yeah Yeah and I don't. I don't think it was close to. Us citizens right so they it. It was like soft close and then became non essential travel closed. Okay so it's sufficiently closed and they just announced yesterday or the day before another day before. Xhosa Sunday but in recent days they just extending that Non Essential non essentials closure for another month. Which is why the flights are finding suspended. Gotcha okay so there's a reason for it but it's It's still weird so it leaves leaves American Delta United Really. The only one's flying to handed I. I'm not sure if WESTJET REPORTER ARE FLYING TRANSLATOR. They started them not. Yeah so and for what? It's worth Canada's now. Also requiring facemask masks of any sort just tired to shoot around your face if you forget one But anything across your face if you're getting on an airplane so interesting but yeah I mean along those. Those there was some there was a united call today right like a town hall or something that they have as their sort of like internal Staff briefing and I mean it's they're running what ten percent load factors right now on ten percent of the schedule. Really Amazing. Yeah so one tenth of what does that. Come out to like one tenth. Not Normal load. Yeah Yeah One. One percent one percent. Which is I mean. It's not I mean it's it's Kinda hard to believe. Yeah and it's and they're not alone. I mean if you look at the numbers that Tsa PUBLISHES EVERY DAY. Like traffic is down ninety. Four percent or whatever. Ninety six percent. They're suggesting that it's a huge. You know that it's there's just skeleton passengers if you look at the numbers it's worse than you think because the scans Con Bembibre concessions stand and other people working at the airport to actually I think those are automated counters of like bodies walking through machines. Not some guy checking things so you know. It's it's a lot of a lot of problems. It's no passenger so like they're really. I actually got a a message from a flight attendant friend. Working Three Twenty noted that forty five passengers on board Amazon in my seat. Because that's like double the load of normal. Yeah I saw a couple of flights. I kinda monitor united flights every now and then. I saw a few flights the other day Denver to Houston was relatively full. Ask hub to hub kind of makes sense but on a mid mid week so strange it there are some you know arguably. I'll say that's good news because the cuts are working. The capacity cuts are coming down. And so you know if you can see us. Thirty to fifty percent full flight today. That represents what would have been three weeks ago ten her five flights that we've all been five to ten percent full and so it's it's better and I don't think we want to some level you wanNA say Gosh. You need the central plains. There can't be anybody on board but that's also stupid and there are reasons. Some people need to travel by air at demean whether it's country to get around and unlike Europe for example like the border between states are vaguely still open in most cases. Yeah or or Florida or Texas I. There's some even actually stuff out though. Yeah that was. That was funny. That I think New Hampshire even has like a sort of please quarantine yourself if you get here policy got so but you know it's. I'm glad that the flights are being cut. I still think that more should be. And we'll see I mean you know but this goes back to why South West someone asks me. Do they have some sort of special deal where they are able to fly them cheaper than everybody else? I don't think that's the case. I just think you know I'll never get an answer session. Sense up into court common. Ask but like high. Why are you doing the stupid thing that no one else is doing? Rarely gets a response that I'm looking for my brother. Yesterday had to fly to Raleigh kind of like last minute from Houston and on a southwest. Flight there's a nonstop at of Hobby to Terrell was on that flight and he was him and another guy. Yeah so right I mean like you had to go so and to be fair in a lot of ways the. Us government is paying for these flights to operate by. That's the argument you can make. As they've they're covering payroll costs are seventy percent of payroll costs of which thirty percent is alone in ten percent comes back in. Warren's so fifty percent of payroll costs which maybe is in the end. Fuzzy math is fifteen to twenty percent of the full cost of Ryan the flight but the federal government is subsidized now pressures flights to make sure that people can get around because the US government recognizes that that has to happen and doesn't want to deal with another million people on employment and with no health. Insurance I think the I mean speaking speaking of like non-full planes. You actually posted a story about a new seating options and it's the in Anyang seating option. Yeah it's bizarre it's obvio- interiors is the name of the company and there. They are normal seating provider there Celsius two airlines like they're not sort of supermassive or bigger. They're not the biggest by any stretch. They're like Certainly top five and they're known for doing some creative things from time to time. And they've designed the product that is the middle seat for a single-aisle planes three three but the middle seat faces backwards. And they're sort of like a wavy divider between everybody so everybody has their own armrest got walled. Lean against instead of your neighbor. Obviously in the same space you'd have some issues of the cushion getting a little narrower which some people complain about There's concerns about like staring at your neighbor. Which is also an issue with everything else. Like that. Sort of from facing thing right. No one likes the vehicle for that same problem except in this case you can't lie down and put up divide or you're just staring at them you know. Some people are inclined and from what they wrote on the press release. It sounds like it's an articulated recline so like the Pan sides forward rather than the seat going back. He lose knee room during their Klein. Which people wouldn't like it? There's a lot of problems with it but it does sort of solve some solution Some provide some solutions. That was terrible senator There's a lot of problems with it but it also offers solutions. Yeah good editor. I would just fix that. And so you know it's interesting to me. I think it's a good conversation point but I don't think it'll overfly so I don't know also expensive to buy install new seats to the divider right. The partition between the seeds is like this molded plastic. Yeah which can't be easy to to you know are cheap to pay for I'm guessing because now you're having to install this extra thing and maintain it right because now batch it and and Kirti it gets back to you know coughs or whatever you gotta like. Do you wipe it down every trip. I don't know every time it's a cool concept I the idea of flying backwards in staring at somebody's definitely not compelling to me I was on a Jau flight where they have kind of forward backwards facing seats and you have to have the divider down during takeoff and landing and it was. It was awkward like because the way that they were setup is I mean he was literally I could not look at all to my right without staring right at him. So yeah it's weird. America America has a set similar to the other here which is concept that we might be. Yeah there was that they were installing them. They had to stop. Because like if you're seat-mate moved at shook your C- to too much or bolted together to Ross. Here's thing like all of those. What I really like is looking backwards out the window seat. I loved on United when it was the I. P. T. E. having the window seat facing backwards like and sure I'm weird but you know don't design plays around me because I'm clearly the wrong choice. Always everybody else hates but I love him. I mean I did it I totally it. I think and I don't think you're wrong. I think it's one of those things of like. It's just a preference thing where people have a preference for. You know the type of seats they sit in. I don't know I I just think it's a little odd and I think you're right. It won't fly. I just feel like it's too. It's too out there. Maybe but it's really the same sky rider which is like the saddle seat this. Oh but here's the thing. I think that's absolutely ridiculous lobby to have them. Thrown out of trade shows if they keep showing it but also. This is also kind of stupid but might work. I don't know when in the age of social distancing and trying to be in a in a safe manner when you're traveling It makes sense And and the idea of like oh. I don't actually have to share an arm rest with somebody in the middle. I mean that's Kinda Nice. Yeah you know I would you see four probably not. I'm not that sad so I I I don't know yeah the other thing I would throw in there is I just. I wonder you mentioned like this Arab socialist distancing like is this going to be a long term thing on airplanes because if ideas just six feet away from everybody. We're not gonna all have our own first class suites. That's true. I mean we could. We could see. I mean this could be a good solving of that problem. Or their airlines into central blocking middle seats which. I don't think it's six feet. It's certainly not tell you exactly how the team point two inches wide on a seven thirty seven like eighteen. If you're lucky on underneath three twenty so the full thing together six feet but that's it. Yeah and it's an doesn't cover front to back so Yeah it doesn't work but also if they did that like I added today on their on their sort of briefing calls. You could do that. And we'll just go. Low cost carriers completely goodbye. It's great the Guy who's the director general the CEO is French Alexandria. Virginia Tech. And he says yes it would distribute q low cost carriers. Walla Walla Walla and I was like Oh my God you really did. It joins us. He does cater going. Good Maria another tagging in mid episode. I like it. Technology work another piece of news fires in this. I mean I know this is GonNa break your heart but EVA air is stopping. Hello Kitty flights. Is that permanent or temporary temporary suspended not cancelled now. That's why I fought temporary. Yeah still your heartbroken over this. I am by for anyone who really sharing my plate. If you have an h Martin near you they do sell the Hello Kitty. Toilet paper there the information we need. Listen in these in these unprecedented times. When you're not able to get on an airplane and wipe your took us with allocating. It's important to know that there are options still available which I see this weekend. Some guy like simulating flying in a plane and really he was sitting next to his washer dryer. Gather yet when you said quote unquote Windows Dryer. Yup I've seen. I've also seen someone do it with a milk jug handle? Oh my gosh man Yes it suspended the sad actually. It's it's weird. They suspended April first but didn't really publicize it an online until mid month. So I'm happy I it's weird. A Caribbean Airlines is starting an island hopper. You wrote a story about this on the accent. Slide carrier of Trinidad and Tobago. Isn't that one of your favorite hot spots. I did not really enjoyed my time in Puerto Spain but Tobago School. We have a little island. We have a client in port-of-spain everyone It's been it's been like you don't ever get assigned to that project. So that's why they're twelve years ago. When I went eleven years ago the high. It was pretty nice. I didn't say they're right on the waterfront super well-protected so what kind of Ireland hopper is this. Are they just going to jump around? A bunch of Caribbean islands. You basically so they WANNA fly Trinidad to San Juan which is a relatively easy straight shot via Dominica. The actually doing a three different routings depending on the day of the week. And so it's like Tobar Betas and then Dominica which is out of order or Dominican. Them are does that goes north then back south and then north to one of the island like Saint Martin or Saint Kitts or something else up there. I wrote this too long ago. I don't remember anymore entirely on and then to Tortola and then to San Juan and so it's like Eight to ten hour one way journey dependent on how far you which writing it takes if you do the full thing or not so for me it would be just what island would get stuck on right is there. Restricted island has a military base that they just lay on your plane. Don't get Stephen so happy. Now it's I think it's interesting. They're they're filing was discovered this dot filing and the filing itself was an absolute mess. They posted the schedules. Like the different routings and copied one to the other end. Didn't update it so it's not accurate and they made a bunch of errors like they said that there are no. Us carriers flying from San Juan to some of these islands into the US government should approve its application. Because it's in the best interest of passengers people have access to these places and it turns out that Silver Air slushy born does fly those routes daily. Oops but yeah it. They're still waiting. They've they've planned. New Not not formally announced that they apply to the DOT for permission to run it. So we'll see if it actually comes through while I think the great route to hop through I would say It's morning southbound afternoon evening northbound suffer. GonNa do it like starting San Juan it's five. Am or whatever it is. Go all the way down. Turn around and go halfway back and like get back out at Saint Martin or something like that and said I'm getting late have dinner and then the next two days. Maho beach or something. That sounds like a good plan. What what is the reasoning for this? Just Corona virus. You think really doing it. Are they trying to actually this filed after corona virus in trying to provide service or is it more of a legitimate like legit demand the filing talks about how post hurricane. The flights haven't come back yet and some travel between some of these islands is down seventy five percent and so the Caribbean is really weird. It's you know because it's all islands depend heavily on either ferry or air travel and there are very very few intra island. Flights you've got lyod win air for a few And Air Korea's has a lot of the long haul they have a local operation Guadeloupe and Martinique that also runs so there's a few options by very limited routes very limited opportunities. And I've been the last few years part of absorb trying to help develop The Caribbean aviation market. And sort of some of these relationships and this is actually a good one. That would feel a lot of needs but also someone incompetently prepared so we'll have now. How many of those airlines survive after all this most of them are government owned our sponsor so Probably a few. Also the government wants in this case are not governments that are funded through the production of oil so they might actually still exist for. The whole thing is like okay. Yeah the government can put more money in but like governments aren't bottomless pits of cash. They also have to generate money to fund these things. I'm I'm convinced that governments are like South Africa's doing it. South Africa doesn't have the money to keep South African Airlines alive. They're gonNA say sorry. We tried for a long time. You know not everybody can be Alitalia. I commend South Africa for taking a stand battalion to learn something times anyways I know. Oh man what is this about American Airlines raising transatlantic Basic economy bag fees from fifteen dollars to seventy five dollars. This is just like a money. Grab seems weird by fifteen dollars to seventy sixty two hundred fifty dollars every It's IT'S THE MONEY. They're claiming to better align with their alliance partners Based on Yahoo Tickets and whatever By Yeah it's pretty stupid. Read the room like why now. Why announce it now? It just doesn't make sense to do it now. I mean what about what about making your partners meet your price. Producing Fares of Steve Stanford the same works. It does look a little bad taking You know four billion dollars from the federal government to help keep the operation running back by the way for our basic economy passengers. You also have extra fifty dollars for back. I was right is aircraft base and Aaron Chilies. Express the other random little never heard of Air Antilles Express operate based out of the French islands. Down there. Dutch Antilles Express failed right In that I have not talking about. Let's go with yes okay. Beijing Carrizo does that in solar they were based in Bon air. Insularity failed not long ago. I thought they were parasol. Carrier touch until express was an airline of the Dutch country of curse. Oh okay very smart. Twenty thirteen okay. Yes then they ask their closed. Thank you I can play this game joke. Thank you for the authoritive answer. You'd think we know something about airlines or something. I don't know plenty of time to study. Oh Man Yeah. Have you guys been doing any good reading? I guess that's that's one question I have for you if you read anything good. I can't say that I have. I've actually been quite busy my My work life hasn't really come down a book. I wanted to read that I saw someone talking about. There's also a history of baseball stadiums around the country in the architecture and sort of design of them but coming onto yet and I don't remember the name of it so that's makes me a little awkward. The problem I learned about it from one of our former one of our guests. I know where to go to find. Also last big store I guess is Delta wanting to swap seventy seven's through the 737 Max so this is a really interesting story and a lot of ways starting with Wa so John Oster our over air currents reported that story this afternoon the story this afternoon and the gist of it is Delta currently leases like seventy something of its ninety odd. Seven one. Seven from Boeing capital their Boeing airplanes. That Delta's leasing the ones that came over from Airtran and they are old and you know not super-efficient and deltas trying to look for a way out also their least airplanes and Delta doesn't WANNA keep paying month to month on them because they're inefficient and not ideal and Delta's got a bunch of a to twenty orders on the books and they happen to be about the same size so there's some good opportunity to swap them out for newer plane that passengers theoretically like more and that comes with better Wifi and entertainment systems etc And so the theory is bowling. Or Delta. Will cut a deal with Boeing where Boeing will take back the seventy sevens and presumably scrap them and sell Delta a bunch of Maxon to replace them now replace in terms of total numbers of planes. I would say not onto one swap on route functionality. I mean so I mean really let's think about Delta also to twenty Airbus Twenty user to me. The two twenties fit the seven one seven markets. Better or my misreading that. So you're really kind of trading up with Simone seven to its but it seems like it's sort of stagger plight where the seven hundred seventy gets swapped for two twenties on the schedule and then the if this happens. It's probably to five years out before delivery start and by then the oldest On the average a three twenty is going to be like twenty eight years old mobile northwest plains from sort of the original tranche of those so those replaced by maxine or maximize but probably next dates given delta. Doesn't really like the nine hundred yard either So so they're basically what they're doing is they're kind of shifting their fleet focus a bit and starting to look much longer term typical. Delta stuff. Yeah retire bunch of old planes there. I mean right. They've got six hundred underground right now. A bunch that aren't gonNA come back and so if you can do this. And as part of this whole exercise and Holy Shit what is going on the industry come up with a way to modernize the at a good price and up everything a little bit along the way why not get. What were you gonNA say? Well they also have a crap ton of some fifty seven's they have to do something about. Yeah so this could be the no one wants to hear but the Mexican replace domestic seven fifty seven no problem but but what about all those extra first seats and having fun ride with big engines but interesting and control systems that I'll try to crash all the time but whatever they're gonna fix that part maybe probably wouldn't hopefully? So what's the I mean the play here? This isn't gonNA HAPPEN NO I. Don't think so the the comment that John made in the piece that I think is really interesting. Is Basically suggesting that Boeing doesn't WANNA walk away from the least deals right now because that's cash income and it's regular cash income that Boeing needs to keep moving? It's also catching come. The delta doesn't want to spend so right but delta would like is to make a one time pre pre delivery payment on the down the down payment on we just ordered about airplanes thanks And have that be basically like our last month. Lease payments in your. We're never Bengali's again. And you take the rest of the money later than that 'cause blowing these cash now so Doesn't everybody needs the cash right now while so. This is where negotiations happen. It's it's I think it makes sense to me. I will be interested to see if it actually plays and how it plays out with. Negotiations with with Boeing. I mean take the sevens. Maybe Hawaiian will pick them up. Who knows yeah at least a few parts and stuff just to have him just because they're such a big user of them for the interisland flights? Yeah I don't know I I was thinking about something else about this and I just can't can wrote it was but anyway why seven seven coming up on age too right. I think so. I mean they're not. Some of them are younger. You heard the number cycles a lot of cycles and cycles and there's also the challenge that they are in the like humid salty air all the time. Yeah yeah eighteen year average. Yeah so I'm sure they're looking for and I imagine that's him a some sort of regional jet. Larger real gentle. Be a good fit for that. Give them an e to ninety five. Eight to twenty because often. Those planes aren't running full no hive of any high frequency and high efficiency. You know maybe day they still have a need for some cargo that also Feels NOT GONNA stay negative thirty dollars a barrel forever yet? Change today back to twenty. I thought I thought the June contracts are down as low as six earlier today. They went down to six but they came back making eighteen so still all sorts of messed up. It's crazy so I also found out that yet. Divide contracts in one thousand or ten thousand barrel a lot. Mental had backyards a little digital. Did you go? Did you read The Washington? Was IT The Washington Post? Had An article about a guy that tried to buy a barrel oil back in the ninety. S I saw the headlines. I didn't actually go. I've heard some stories about it and that's the short version is not going to happen. Do not do not drive to Oklahoma with a barrel back. Drop and expect that you'll have oil when you leave. Yeah I mean a lot of distributors To the pipeline owners. Like they have to have proof that you have a contract to even put the oil in the pipeline to send it so like for them to do it. They have to have a physical contract in hand and they have to have proof of delivery and like that you have someone put this oil. So they're just not it comes to the line and there's no one there six. I mean like no one wants to be responsible for literally. You can't be sitting there with a thousand barrels and going okay. Can you put this one over here? You stand on top and hop from one to the next gay guys a little out on the hose I also talk about the sevens. It's like a it makes me minded reminds me of the Airbus three twenty that Alaska just retired sit back to the lesser grappling scrapped. In Yeah and the only thing I could find someone said it was. It was Dupree Dietrich so at that point it was cheaper to scrap it. The first check right. Yeah yeah I mean someone else? Cry got an email. Today someone bought an eight year old At Twelve at eight or twelve year old a three nineteen for parts while I'm on the distribution list of some company that stinks they're like the modern scrapping and whatever blah blah blah technology to having blockchain. Yep I'm sure they will Arts Management Company and yes. I get email every time they buy into plane to scrap metal and this was the two thousand eight laughing at Dean Line Number. Like thirty three eighty or something like that. Well in Australia announced today. They're going to get rid of a couple of three three nine teams as well. They're not going to be. There's going to be a bunch on the market. You Guys WanNa buy one where we're GONNA park here. Pianists honestly at Portsmouth. Pease has play space on the ramp. See there you go. I know the guy call deal. I mean how much Patriot account if we wait no matter what we will be enough man. Well I think we might have enough to fly out to take a tour to try to convince someone we're going to buy it. I think that's where we're at a budget. But you're gonNA cover your own airfare home go get one one one way I think the last thing we wanted to talk about was a question that a listener and a patriotic supporter at Santa's Ian. I think is how you say your name if I got that wrong. I think there's another pronunciation seth was. I'm sure there is his Irish Albert. Just butchering it. I'm not gonNA take the bait this so I'm sorry but you you would ask the question you you're gonNA be traveling to New York City Sometime in the future. Hopefully after all this done and you were thinking about maybe making a day trip or you know couple day trip out to the West Coast to do some advocacy style. Things and wondering what our thoughts were. So you'd mentioned jetblue to Seattle Annan maybe Alaskan your way back to New York and so my thoughts off. The top of my head is well. When you're in Seattle. I think number one thing to do is go to the to the factory to Boeing I think that's right. I mean that'd be the top of your list and the Museum of flight and the Museum of flight and then and then maybe a seaplane. Ooh mixing it up but yeah. I was thinking you know he's going to be close to downtown. Kenmore AIR MAYBE GO OUT TO A. I can't think of all the places. They fly off the top of my head but I know the they go to Canada. They go to Victoria. And other places in the domestic short hops. I of got many years ago when the Freddy Awards were in Seattle. I basically decided to do they. They sell like a sightseeing tour option. Sometimes I did my own book like From South Lake Union which does seaplane base in town up to one of the flu plane basis on one of the islands Friday island or something like that if that exists that island has a fixed plane runway also and like two hours later. There was a flight back to Renton or not renting Boeing field. And so I did my own sort of outback. Roundtrip Ish And got a fix. Play a fixed. A fixed wheels. Anc plane and the views of downtown. And everything I mashed altogether is one and I in says he's traveling. He's traveling in the autumn. The fall so the weather is GonNa Be Mixed. Might be nice. It may not be depends But Yeah I think the I think Kenmore air would be a great experience and then I was gonNA suggest on the way back Rather than doing like a non stop to to New York City from Seattle. Maybe go to paine field and DO PAINE field to Portland you can do. I think they fly San Jose City I think they fly San Diego And you could do Alaska on that. And then Alaska Cross country. Yeah the what I would say I mostly rivers. I think we've given them too much to do in one day. Yeah but if you can't you flew in and did like flew to Seattle in the morning and the Museum of flight down there then something on the seaplanes and whatnot either. Spend up in Radner. Spend the night up ever to spend the night downtown and go to Everett in the morning. Do your toured Everett and then from there you already. I mean you're acting just go to the is like you gotta go to all the way to the other side but the other side and take a flight out of there. I think that's a great idea. And then it's just a question of you do only Alaska to Alaska on the Transcanada. And he's talking about flying premium Gavin. Right he's talked about jetblue mint which I continue to believe as the best premium transplant brought a client. I think Alaska would be disappointing after that. I would actually agree with that. I would say. Take a fighter pain. Go DOWN TO L. A. Go to end out. Watch some planes and take them into cross back ways. Bethune is GONNA be the best product. I wonder though if you if you say it's an abject thing I've got to do a different product and a different airline I probably I probably do Delta then. La's a one world flyers. It works to an American for the pints. Some to your he could but is it worth it. It's a very similar product in business in Premium Kevin the Delta where the real question though I mean and sad to say but are the three twenty one ts gonNA come out of the desert. That's are the all parked I believe they are. I didn't realize I believe the three hundred zero part if not all most fight I mean. I'm sure they'll come out. Some of the newest planes right. The seven thirty eighth would go before. The three torn tease. The questions do they come. Back is three twenty one ts fair or reconfigured as like a domestic three twenty or whatever ask Sir let me look so different ladder off the end of that. See something real quick i. It's hard that's one of the the. The other option is fly. Something I don't WanNa say but shittier westbound and finished with mint finished strong but I think I think the I think the paine field piece those is like definitely part of that. Avdic you know Kind of interesting airport to fly out of type thing yet circle so I mean I would definitely recommend doing that I'm trying to think of another product. I mean he could go if he wanted to fly Delta Do Delta Westbound And they fly a premium on ice cream transplant product there and compete with jet blue on price. So it's one option. He would earn the points. But it's better than nothing. Yeah so hope that helps since a follow up if you need more advice and just like last time we'll get to it with a couple of weeks charges like anything else. You guys want to talk about now. Full I G trains in New York really thought tweet Tau said even possible. I didn't know that it was impossible as there are some of the platforms too short. Yes okay must be. It must be like we're not going to stop you have to be in. The forward scars affects cars. I mean they do that. Do they still do that on the one transit so running that we look? I haven't seen it lately. You mean the one down at the south very very he hasn't done. It doesn't do the loop anymore. Does it turn back to the station again yet? Does that was open for an hour and a half before they hit. Yeah exactly. Interestingly enough jetblue is flying a mid plane on JFK Albuquerque. Right now already. I don't understand the world anymore While they've grounded their fleet and at this point no one's on the planes anyway. So so what does it matter? One like could hardly nap I don't think so but actually one thing I thought of. If are they also doing palm springs? I could see them putting pilot in an extra pilot on board in one of the flatbeds calling a crew rest and turn with three doing it as an augmented crew. And during the turn. And not leaving anybody Albuquerque. That's a good point. Yeah I didn't think about that because that seat would qualify with. It's like one hundred fifty seventy recliner whatever. It is qualifies. So let me see here on the SIF but they also only have to do it three days a week. So who knows my suggestion for what it's worth. Was the dish fly palm springs. They should fly. Long Beach. Palm Springs Albuquerque. And back as a sort of like no one's GonNa be on this plane anyways we're gonNA find the absolute minimum number of hours audio. Whose shooting we should really be serving. These routes still. Yeah but I don't see one on palm springs that may not have left yet. Yeah Yeah but I think that's a show guys to our listeners You can follow us on twitter at.
