You're listening to wrestling observer live with Bryan Alvarez and Mike Simple v on the sports byline broadcasting network. Again. This show brain elder is here wrestling observer live Mike Zimmer V also wrestling observer dot com very happy today to be joined by a Rocky Romero. Lots to talk about here today rocky how you doing? Version I'm Brian how you doing there we go i. I'm doing great doing other. I'm. Get I'm. So. Excited for Saturday. Yes we're GONNA. Talk About Talking Shop Amini here in a moment. But before we do, we're going to talk about what I presume is a complete one, eighty different show and that is lions break collision I. Presume that Lions Break Collision. We'll be completely opposite what we see with talking-shop a mania. Kinda? Kinda. Know after for sure. Very, very different between the two I'm sure I, heard you talking to Carl yesterday and then what came out of Dallas, his brain and the lions break clergy show are very very different and the. Show is It's been pretty amazing. The feedback that we've gotten I mean, it's just a simple. Back to basic stripped down professional wrestling show and It's what I love about wrestling, and that's been a lot of fun to to be a part of it and especially to go against somebody like Tom Lawlor. Yet Tom Lawlor I mean last I haven't seen the final episode yet but Sawyer match with Tom and you know you're a a long. It was funny about the match was in the middle of the match they're talking about how it's your goal to win the W GP junior heavyweight title is Rocky Romero and you've been with new Japan forever this. Is Tom's I ever experienced in new Japan. So I'm watching the match and I'm like, what are the finishes going to be like? Obviously, Iraqis going to beat this guy I mean rocky lost a Carl Fredericks the week prior. So He's got to win Elsa Nixon? You Know Tom's choking out I thought wow. They must really like this Tom Lawlor character here. Or Psalms. Just More skill than I am but yeah, I mean for sure no Dude I. Mean I think having Tom on the show super cool jets in the fact that like Ag. So different and especially like new Japan for the most part the minus Zeki has gone away. You know so far from like the root of like you know you know converses, martial arts and. This and that you know. So I think Tom is just a breath of fresh air in that respect and also he's making character and you can see in the promos you could see how he comes through the ring. He's there's nobody likes him on the show and he brings so much to it. So you know I hope that will get to have him back and. Rocky what what was it like when they're developing all this stuff and I just I've been watching for so long my brain goes back to two thousand and two and the DOJ Oh and urine there TJP's there and you know I it's just You have you guys are there in Carl Anderson's there. Now, all these years later obviously, Carl has been somewhere else for awhile. You'll hang out with them on Saturday on TV of course but like what was it like to then go back to La and just how this whole thing came together because it just blows me away that. How that was such A. Time in New Japan such a weird time of flux, and now we're at a time of were there a great strength right now and you go back to La and you go back to you know the same type of closed small building. You know obviously Kobe has had the effects on why this thing maybe the way it is, but it's back to a gym setting all of these years later and it's being you know treated with great reverence by the fans. It seems right now what is this whole thing been like and his it's just been as crazy as it seems from the outside. I mean, yeah, it's pretty good. Yeah. It was pretty crazy I mean just getting the whole thing up and running you know. That we're kind of in now it it's not just like, Hey, let's put on that and you know what's awesome. Tickets will do that. It's like the protocol is completely changed to keep everybody safe. So that's the first and foremost that goes into it. Then obviously having no fans and what you're, what kind of style and what kind of Sh- show you're gonNA present I mean that I mean you can see how how hasn't in some cases it's worked with wwe in some cases it's really worked against that he fans so but I do feel that was new Japan. The. Style is it works. It's okay. You know at least four for having no fans because it is based on your opponent and it is just back to basic strip down I mean like the line concept in general is exactly what this show is. You know it you know the fans aren't making tons of of a We're not a lot of time of reactions when you're first starting out young lineup, it's if it's your first story them in Japan I mean I wrestled in front of very quite you know Japanese audience because they you they wanna see what you're gonNA give and they don't WanNa make it too nervous so they'll just Sit there and watch their I mean. To me, you know the first couple of minutes it was a little strange because you know have been front of. Audiences in Japan for the last couple of years and been spoiled and that kind of sense but But after a couple of minutes, just Kinda grew right in and like you said, it was back to be in like the La Dough doing you know matches and practice matches and from not in front of Mugabe practice in getting feedback and I don't know I. There was something cool about it. But there were there was as a performance that was something that was interesting. 'cause then just like out there. Just doing your thing truly feeling what you know what's going on in the reindeer opponent and and yourself, and just you know trying to make something go because you know it's not like You can put too much into those matches on the right behind the scenes and you can't really get in there and just cut start calling matches or anything like that because there's there's no. Cameras right in front of you. So it's very painful. Very intimate. You know. Quick, thing before we go to the show this weekend, and that is if you're not watching the lions break collision, we got a lot of subscribers to NJ POW world I. Mean It's really a fun show the first episode there thirty minutes or four episodes and the first one that I watched I thought okay it's just you know a bunch of matches with the young lions in a couple of veterans just matches but by the by the third episode I, mean there's an angle to get shot there it it's such a simple angle but at the end of the day, I was just dying to see the Fredericks Jeff Cobb match lake. More into that match than any other match it was it was like one little angle on a thirty minute show with a bunch of wrestling. It's it's it should not be as hard as people make it. So I just want to plug the show get people watching it because it's a really fun thirty minute show. I appreciate that because I'm really proud of it to be honest like I'm really proud of the concept I'm really proud what you know. It's kind of like, what can you do in this situation that you know it was Kinda you know dealt with US coverage. So let's just like I don't know I. I'm just really proud of it. I'm glad that people enjoying it. So. It's coming weekend obviously fight TV plus traditional pay per view there you can watch this everybody no matter what you've got. August I talking shop a mania enjoy the insanity is the tagline and are you doing on this show rocky? What can you tell us about this? Nothing. Common. With with Taoism Anderson and basically just booked all our friends and we kind of booked just this war gallons really. But this crazy show with all these different personalities and You know we're just kinda doing our SPEC of talking shop. You know his brother talking and having beers well, just madness goes. Around us and then two years and I'm not wrestling but my my my idol Chico which doors making my parents. So that's going to be easy. Man I have not heard from him in some time. I know they really drops in doe. Well, Gallon. Drop some very you go but I mean I, I'm so I. Now. Obviously, you guys are doing commentary, but also gallison Anderson rumored rumored in alter egos to be making an appearance in the main event of the show is, is this going to be shot in a way where they're doing commentary basically for their own match or use flying solo there in the main event now? No no no. The main event. Brian. The main event is something truly special cinematic experience. You can't have commentary and cinematic experience like this. I see obviously, you guys saw the bone, the bone yard matching in April. This is about hundred times worse than the blonde match and It's going to be amazing and you guys are GonNa love it and I've seen a cut of the the bone yard match and it's something to be hope. Now who who is in charge of production for this Boehner Yard match. Everybody? Like Moran? Yeah kind of everybody. Yes everybody. Mike. Brand with our director producers He's doing amazing. An editor found Scott. Moore, helped us out quite a bit as well and but yeah, it's just you know for the most part of just three of US calling this this this whole. Event, you know especially the the Bunny Yard match we're just like kind of I'm hoping like direct with Mike and those guys are coming up with ideas on you know on the fly and was a pretty amazing experience I collectively and everybody was like together. I never been rhythm same page you know this after like. Fourteen hours of shooting all day. You know. So it was pretty it's pretty often. employed. In a, there's going to be like one of those classes or people talk about. You know what's interesting by the way is Gallison Anderson. Right now are in impact wrestling and new Japan has working relationship with ring of honor and ring of honor's not running right now. So Tom lawler's msw. But now he's doing some stuff for new Japan. It's like all of these. There's a lot of of collaboration here amongst groups that before this pandemic I mean there wouldn't have been any sort of collaboration. So what can you tell us about that? I can I mean. I don't know I don't like I can't say if it's GonNa, you know like this is like deported stuff but I I think the world has changed a lot you know I mean just right off the bat and kind of collectively as professional wrestling we're kind of being challenged most mess you know because you know minus like TV rights and stuff like that I mean really it's hard to keep these companies going without live audiences so you know Working together and and some kind of way and helping each other out, and they can show that you know miscommunication between all these companies who normally work together I think it's all. It's all gravy and it's all good thing and it's a step in the right direction of like when you know when Leonard is down were all down, you know what I'm saying. So I, feel like working collectively super important and I hope it will continue past depend on. You know name that's listed here for the show on. Saturday. Is Alex Koslov. And I feel like I. Haven't heard that name for a long time. What is Alex Koslov up to? Man. Why there's GonNa be some big news with without cause of Japan coming up to I. I can't say too much but I would stay tune very soon. There's GonNa be an announcement, FM and I don't know doing he's doing quite well, he'd take some time off he. Had some injuries rest of them but he you know he is back in the business I can't say what? Whoa he's exactly going to be in. But This one actually is in entering. Gave you for talking shop a mania. And you know it's just great that about that he ought to constantly comes on the podcast. Telling us, stories books his childhood growing up in Moldova and when. Immigrated over to us and how he took relations beatings from his mother and we pulled funded and it's a lot of fun and That's kind of what we do in fact Chapman. Well. He's listed here along with Willie. Mack who's great. He Curt Hawkins Rock and Roll Express Mike Bennett Maria Chabot. Scott more is there and the biggest shocker to me sick boy load e reese and apparently not Scotty Riggs but I guess you try tried for Scotty Riggs. Try to get. Settled to Scott. took. Live like three times a week now how awesome and he's always collecting interesting video clips. And he shared this one with me and I don't know if you've heard this one yet. But it apparently was an interview on ABC News. This doctor Fao guy because he's like some top bigwig with the federal government, some kind of doctor. Touch. You are with what's going on in the country. So I don't care who these politicians are. Really they me nothing I understand I've heard his name here and there with this whole. Yeah. It's really hard to dodge this particular name. He's been integral within the trump administration, the trump trump administration's been trying to. Control, what he says and can't do that very well, and he's been trying to. Encourage lots of rules I. Think. Now he's saying that people should wear goggles. That's what I've got tonight as a matter of fact, serious protection is recommended. It might I mean if you really want perfect protection of mucosal surfaces just for your your your audience Jen as you. Know. You have mucosal in the nose because you in the mouse, but you also have new Khoza in the eye, and that's one of the things that you know. Theoretically, you should protect all the mucosal surfaces. So if you have goggles or an icee or an ice shield, you should use it I mean narco not. Recommended but if you really want to be complete, you should probably use it. So if you don't put on God's you mask people out there that believe that the mass is GonNa. Save. Your grandma from imminent doom or whatever it is that you you know this whole. Virtue signaling that people have been doing showing that they CA-. I'm wearing a mask because I care about people you people without masks. You don't care about people this mentality. Well, if I don't see all you people wearing goggles now because this doctor Guy, he's an expert and he says, you gotTa wear goggles if you WANNA be complete if you want to be protected now, if you don't care about your grandmother than don't put the goggles on. But if you care about other human beings, you better start walking around wearing goggles or a face face masks shield thing or whatever something that covers your eyes ups, what he's saying well, he's also saying it's not universally ran out yet. But. That's how it starts. Right where there's some goon, the government federal government says the thing and then other goons start to copy what that person says and people start to do what they're told. Yeah. I think that I would like to see. Studies on the use of face shields because at this point to me that seems like totem. Like. A Good Luck charm as opposed to something that I would actually have a big affect I mean, how often do you get it in the eye when somebody's talking through a mask? Well. But that presumes that everybody else has a mask on. So wouldn't the I. She'll know from you can see whether or not people have a mask on and you can choose not to stand within six feet of new could. But there are some places where those by the way I think this whole six feet thing you need to understand the reason you're standing six feet away isn't because the human body is radiating at. At a six foot radius some kind of deadly poison. The reason is, is because you know spittle comes out of your mouth and. Vapor comes out of out of the mouth and these sorts of things vapor. I don't think as much of a problem unless you're in a building for a very for a long period of time but spindles certainly can be a problem if you take it in the eye or something like that but he you need a goggle. No. Well, if somebody spits in your eye, you could get covert and then kill your grandmother. Well, you don't care about your chances. Well, my mother is seventy nine, my grandmother's long debt you don't care about your mother right and. What I would say to that is that I hope. You're. You're talking about the chances of a person having covid right now has got to be somewhere around one in one hundred. So you're already talking about a ninety nine percent survival just saves one grandmother well, isn't it worth for everyone to wear goggles? I thought you'd be in favor of the goggles mark considering how I in favor of the. Sunglasses glasses sock hats and masks in wherever you go that way they have no idea who you are I mean I got to seal up the is you can't just be getting away with sunglasses. You got a total you got completely seal them out a now face. Shields he's referring to and goggles that he's referring to talking about you know I protection. So these things are all vented you wouldn't do swimming goggles. Those work though kid like a twelve year old at the pool. I suppose they would and you're welcome to do it. But I haven't seen this. Yet how people aren't putting goggles on they are obviously not taking this seriously enough Bill Gates says the United States is not taking this seriously enough. So it's time to crackdown when you'd have goggle mandates now I was in a store and you need to walk around with an entire body condom. You know what? Let's go all the way. How about one of those balls those things are pretty cool. Oh Yeah. They get in the little human the giants. Parent Bouncy ball thing. We need to just redo every. Have One, every store needs to be re redone. So there's enough I'll space we didn't have to round wars we can. Two people going in every aisle because you've got to be able to cross each other and if you're in the big balls and you're you're protected, you don't have to worry about pushing up against the other side of the like. So many scared little people do know acting later GonNa get infected. Make them all one ball with one length and that way people can't pass each other and get within six feet. You're in a ball, so it doesn't matter and. It matters it matters remember radiation people are literally standing six feet from the back of other people in line I mean why? Why are you standing six feet because now they have stickers on the floor is the reason because somebody will get offended if you don't, you're not, you're not causing them to catch the disease by standing within six feet of them. Face to face that you want to six feet in between because then the spittle. Falls to the ground as opposed to anything else especially outside I mean literally people I mean seriously at this point, you're talking about good luck math methods. You're talking about the the equivalent of crossing yourself. It's nothing to it. Most of the stuff is just in your head. Yes. I do think it's a good idea to wear masks indoors but outside. It's ridiculous. The reason you don't paranoia and no, no one was wearing mastering flu season over the entire that tyrod if our live that's true was wearing they were doing a cold. They weren't doing it America, they were doing it in Asia, and now it's something you want to do on your own because you're sick and you want to prevent other people from being sick and you gotta go out fine. Whatever do what you want the problem with this viruses. You don't win your of you the least five days you don't know if you've got it. Yeah. Well, I don't care I know. If you're going to get you're GONNA get it. If not. Then you know if you don't WanNa get it, then go ahead and Quarantine yourself and make sure you stay away from any human contact whatsoever and see if you don't go insane as a result of that. because. You know people are kind of social animals and they. Are Really Kinda supposed to be together and help each other out and you know. We're not supposed to be alone, but that's what they're trying to encourage people to do is completely shut themselves off from other human beings. Now by wearing goggles this guy, this vouch on. ABC News talking with some woman in a lab coat. And so how many people are GonNa take this? Seriously I don't know. We're living in a strange bizarre dystopia Ian Medical. Authoritarian. Nightmare and it just keeps getting worse. We had an activist today who was kicked out of the mailbox store here in town. DOT FM with you in the studio tonight it's Ian and mark, and if you want more businesses accepting cryptocurrencies like bitcoin cash and dash and even Bitcoin SV and the original bitcoin although can't imagine anyone is paying for anything with the original bitcoin these days I don't know what the transaction fees are. Around five bucks right about now. So yesterday, the average fee was over five dollars and that was the average fee. The median was like three dollars and fifty cents roughly. So it's really high and if the price keeps going up. and. There's no reason why won't You're likely going to see even more ridiculous bitcoin BTC fees but that's why any pay exists. Any pay actually launched back in summer of two thousand seventeen when bitcoin was starting to really become broken. With it's ridiculous fees just going up and up I think any pace started when bitcoin was at about five dollars for for a bitcoin fee and that's when they launched in any pay was the first payment system to give people a choice because prior to any pay was all bitcoin on all whatever few payments pay point of sale systems existed for accepting crypto payments in real life. There weren't that many of them the ones that did exist bitcoin only and Bitcoin is basically dead as as a payments. Platform if you will. And so any launched with two choices that the time they have several but. It was dash actually that they launched with alongside of the original bitcoin and gave people the opportunity to actually go back to using crypto currency to pay for things with crypto easily with low fees and get it done seamlessly. So any pay still out there doing great they've got even more options now including their any pay cash register APP and you can easily download that for your favorite device whether it's your. POINT OF SALE system tablet or whatever at the front of your house in your restaurant, or it's your own personal phone that let's say you're a plumber or some service provider you're going to your customers houses. You just have the APP. Right there on your phone super easy to accept crypto payments I've got it on mine and I don't have business or anything like that. But if somebody needs to pay me with Crypto, it's easiest to fight his pull up any pay it's boom. You're at there you punch in the amount you want and get qr code that's custom for. That it is easy to use. That's for sure super easy get over and grab that any pay cash register APP and get started with any pages search for it on your Google or apple APP store or go to any paying dot Com and he pay I N C DOT COM coming up Dunkin donuts looking to close eight hundred home I can locations. We'll tell you more about that but we were just talking about once again these Dan Masks there was a Chris Wade who's our Friday night coast I think he's I think he's back this week he was out last week. But he just he doesn't really understand why people are so critical of the masks at least within our little group of activists types it's seems like most of us are firmly against the masks, I would say you and Chris are sort of in the out group of being in favor of the masks, and he just couldn't really understand why people consider this to be so important well, number one, this is an area where. We have had freedom, and now they're trying to take it away. So for instance, there's a lot of places where they've already taken away freedom for generations. So he brought us pastes he brought up some some examples like driver's licensing putting government plates on your car. These things that everybody just sort of does out of habit because that's the way it's always been at least in our lifetimes. Well, if they were trying to impose something like that upon us now like they do with Internet, crackdowns, well, we oppose those things you wouldn't want to do the thing that. You want to do the thing because or at least do it. So often because you would wanna flex your freedom muscles. If you don't flex your freedom muscles, you don't get to keep them. Now the thing is, is that they the government has gotten really the people in the government, the you know the the most successful organized crime syndicate in a given geographic area. Those people have gotten to be very successful at passing sort of mandates and they don't do it. Generally by mandating themselves, they do it by mandating the businesses mandate. So they turned the businesses themselves into. Their enforcement wing unimpaired unpaid, enforce paid in forces. You do our dirty work and we won't even pay for it right now we're gonNA hurt you. But if you don't do it, you don't get to open up. and. That's the that's what they want to do more than anything. So they're like, all right we'll do we'll do it. We'll tell people they can't come in. So long as. We could open our store. We can make some business and look I. Get it. You WanNa do business. There's nothing wrong with that particular thing. Now, when it comes to masks I'm of the opinion that masks worn inside or when you're you know standing within six feet of somebody even outside just. Prevent special in these sorts of things. Fine. But I believe it should be a choice I think it's possible to both be against mask mandate and for people wearing ask under certain circumstances. At the same time and I think that both you and Chris are of that same sister and I. I wouldn't I'm not trying to distance myself from Christmases opinion here on the air. I'm just trying to say that hey, you know. I get it. I get why people are choosing not to do it but I wish that that's the reason that they would claim. So you claim it's anti-human, which is fine like you're saying if I can't see somebody's face, I can't connect with them the same way as I could if I could see their face fine I think it's fine reason second reason is I'm standing against this because it's an intrusion government tyranny and if we don't stop it now than it's excruciating upon one of the most fundamental freedoms or at least the perception of freedom, and that is your ability to decide what goes on your body. Now, I mean, the government gang has been intrusive in so many different ways they intrude into your finances they intrude into your business they intrude into your personal life. As far as you know your relationships, your children families, there's all kinds of government intrusion into our life but one of the things that at least in the United States that has been left alone is you can generally adorn yourself with the things you want adorn yourself with you. WanNa have a tattoo you want to put a piercing through your ears you WanNa have t shirt that has an offensive word on it. Most of the time that's going to be protected. By the First Amendment Freedom of speech that whole idea and that's good. We want to have the ability for people to express themselves. The freedom of speech is an important thing to keep safe. This is the government telling you what to wear. So instead of telling you, hey, you can't wear that shirt with the middle finger on it or you can't wear that shirt that says f the police on it or whatever. They might have said at some point in the past on people because they happen this has happened that used to be one. But now they're saying, this is what you must wear. So there mandating a specific form of adornment on one's body, and so it's just on that basis alone it's a fundamental violation of your right to decide who you are and how you express yourself. Let alone the whole thing that I've already mentioned myriad of times and that is that it is dehumanizing. Now some could argue that well, if you were face shield, there's a gentleman in our twitch chat room who who's talking about how he loves the Face Shield, and that would be like the sort of the plastic. Looking shielded thing that sort of wraps around I guess your face but doesn't I guess likely restrict breathing as much as the mask might restrict breathing. You can certainly see people's facial expressions. So arguably that that sort of addresses that particular issue, but it still is a violation of your right to express yourself or to not express yourself in the way that you want with the things that you want to add to your your body or subtract from an eight, fifty, five, four, hundred, fifty, free that's eight, five, five, four, five, zero, three, seven, three, three now the city of keene little keene New Hampshire where we do the show, they're talking about a mask mandate coming. We go to Derek J. Freeman. He is columnist from the Sea Coast in Portsmouth New Hampshire Derek you're on dischord lines go ahead. Hi Guys I have some good news I am no longer a criminal in the eyes of the state. Yeah. It's true. I had to do is pay them off right. Well and file some paperwork and wait for some time and beyond good behavior not have any arrests but just wanted to let people know that this is possible. I did it myself. I. Didn't hire an Attorney I. I was arrested several times I was charged with about sixteen crimes they were on my record so as my jail time victimless. Victimless Crime Yeah. Important distinction management hurt anyone. Yeah, no of course and people can see all my crimes were recorded on on video, victimless crime, spree, dot, coms, and entertaining movie ninety minutes. It's surely and you can see it at on Youtube at victimless crime spree, and that's the only evidence left of these so-called crimes they've been on wiped off record now right 'cause there's this weird legal fiction so once. What's called an annulment happens where a judge decide stamps a piece of paper and says, wipe this off this guy's record, and then you pay the state police and they do the job of actually wiping it off. That it's Clemson and when you're out. Yeah. I, if you're asked, have you ever been arrested now legally the. The answer's No. Yeah. That's what I think. He was saying there. But the we lost some packets there you were saying the answer is legally no. So even though you've been through the process of being handcuffed put in the back of a cruiser the actually in. So in one case, thrown off your binoche off your bicycle and attacked by a vicious cop. WHO STUCK AN ASPEN? Your bicycle? Wheel spokes none of that legally happened anymore. Right Yeah welcomed illegal end where everything's a fiction and I'm and I'm living in Saipan. Right I mean. All I'm trying to say is that I move I left the island of Saipan within fourteen days of a declared emergency, the declared emergencies still going on. So as far as the United States. Internal Revenue. Services concerned I'm in. Saipan. Yeah I mean legal land is full of fictions and this is one that people can really explain to their advantage. I mean a lot of people are thrown through the ringer on crimes victimless crimes that they haven't heard anybody and it ruins their record hurts their ability to get jobs and move up in the world and I want people to know that this exists you don't have to. Use An attorney to do it there's going to be pro probably no consequence. If you fill out paperwork wrong, they'll just send it back to you. They did that for me several times and I got through it. It took me about a year to follow up with them. Make sure that everything happened correctly ended about two hundred, twenty, five dollars I think total so anyone can do this. And I. Recommend you. You try it. If you have a record that could be expunged why not do it? I? Mean you should do it in I actually after you'd started that process I did look into it but I got one conviction that requires seven years. So I got another year and a half basically before I can which way. The the most ridiculous one the one that you testified that Oh that was the one that said that you basically I still can't explain what it was. The complaint of the State is, is that you and one of their employees didn't fill out a government paperwork properly in the right order. In the right order improperly. But in the right order when you attempting to make your name change from your original. To Your Ian Freeman name and that they must, they wanted to throw you in jail for six months and that's what they asked for and the sentencing hearing I'm not I'm not making this up. I'm not talking about the top penalty when I? Changed My name legally that was done, it was the licensing the government licensed drivers hours. Your name changed without a government license. I mean you know that's that's part of the paperwork that makes a name change in name change. That's why I say it's just out of order. Of their employees and you filed paperwork out of order and you needed to go to jail for six months because reasons and the charges called unsworn falsification. So when somebody just looks at my record, it looks like I I told a lie or somehow swindled somebody or whatever, and that's not true whatsoever. So and you're right dirk people look at a record and they usually don't ask questions about it. Right they'll just see a charge and they'll say, oh, this person's trouble and they don't want to hear an explanation. It's they just write you off based on what your record says. Yeah, well, a lot of your listeners out there do have charges that can be wiped off the books completely and I think it would benefit them to try. You do want to take you know make sure even though you did this without an attorney, there are potential issues that could arise. It sounds like you encountered some at least somewhat friendly bureaucrats who were somewhat helpful. With your process that did happen with me as well. One of the first bureaucrats who he works at the Probation Department he called me up and said, hey, you know if you put if you go through with this, there's a chance that the court could rule against it, and then you can't file for two more years after that. So there is a penalty if if You kind of screw up some of aspects of this. But as long as you're filing the paperwork after the time window has expired, it's seems like a pretty safe thing to do. So you do need to do your research and try to read I know it's frustrating but try to read the government statutes that apply to find out. You know I gotTA figure out what? Your charges are, and then you got to figure out how long the window of time is you have to wait pass before you can file these things. So there are some steps you gotta take, or you can go talk to three attorneys and get three quotes on what they would charge to do this paperwork themselves. Admittedly, it's probably GonNa be in the hundreds I would imagine. Hundreds of dollars in order to get a conviction. And that's causing difficulties more J. did it on his own for like two hundred and fifty bucks? He did it for two hundred, fifty bucks and that's great. But is your convey are your convictions preventing you from entering? Canada Minority. But I really have no reason to go to Canada. I understand that. So if you don't want to spend two thousand dollars an order go to Canada that's fine I'm just saying that you could do it and our people that would want to do that. Yeah congratulations, Derek. I, know that you've definitely been moving in a different direction of the last several years you're working in the financial industry now basically with any pay and that means that having a criminal record to be even more detrimental. So it seems like it was the right choice to make. It totally was a great lawyer in New Hampshire that I recommend to your listeners named Ed Knapp and he's probably a friend of the show and It's definitely a friend to liberty new. Hampshire. So eboni been can help wipe people's records if you're within the window so he's helped me. With issue I've I've consulted with him on issues too. I presume something people can do in all fifty states but the I. I it's not a bad idea to talk to somebody that's gone through the process at the very least even if it's not another attorney to find another person who who knows about it because it can be a little overwhelming starting from scratch trying to pore over state statutes and understand what they mean follow you know the various different legalese Turkey was there more you wanted to share. Go back to your phone calls and thoughts and then coming up just talking about our discord and great it is Teddy Graham just posted in their Reason dot com piece published earlier this week Miami police now setting up mask traps issuing one hundred dollar fines people for wearing masks. Improperly, we will go to your calls and I your calls I. Am Mike is on the line in Colorado listening via our discord surfer discord done L. R. N. Don FM go ahead Mike. Well good afternoon guys. Thank you so much for taking my call eight great interview with Derek just earlier This is Mike from the freedoms corner restoring liberty shell but I had a couple of comments I was just looking into his his interview or or his kind of his documentary. So Liberty Libertarian. Activists Derek. Freeman chronicles his arrest and incarceration for five crimes. Videoing police dancing in public in public places smoking cannabis wearing a hat in court and writing a bike and it's it's kind of interesting because you know he says that he realized that the problem wasn't goes on high. It was the people like me down low the problem wasn't the chain of command chain of obedience and you know those are some very power. That's a very powerful words and I totally agree with Derek and I really support his his 'cause after looking into it here and I just wanted to kind of voice that and you know I mean thank you guys for always letting me come on but So you have seen the movie you've seen victimless crime spree. I I've heard of it. Actually I haven't gotten a chance to watch the whole thing on youtube I'm going to. But I just wanted to kind of echo that sentiment of really supporting him and you know I I really appreciate what he he has his kind of his mission. So well, thank you I'm sure I mean I can't speak on his behalf but as the producer of the film, I would say thank you for that I. Appreciate It, Mike. Thanks for the call tonight dude and enjoy the movie. Okay. Let us know what you think about it when you're done watching it. Derek J. victimless crime spree. You can watch it online over victimless crime spree dot com. It's free isn't there a sixty minute version and a ninety minute version there is there is actually a trimmed down. If you're really pressed for time I guess. I must say as somebody who doesn't watch everything that the Liberty Movement says is important to watch that the my ninety minutes was very well spent watching this movie it's it's well done and my favorite favorite favorite part is when they mistake Derek J. Wearing a grey. Fedora. For another activist wearing a grey Fedora, they had actually these people had the Hubris to ban Derek J. from the court house he couldn't walk in so by walk by this other Guy Walking in they. It was him they send out this overweight cop to chase him down and he runs away and then you've got this, you know like the keystone cops kind of music playing I don't remember what it is Benny. Hill. Music but it was just hilarious it was and is timeless I think it's GonNa be a good one to to watch eight, fifty, five, four, fifty free is our toll-free one. Of the things that Derek J. victimless crimes be really focuses on is the absurdity of the police enforcing these victimless crimes when they could be going after real crimes you know with murderers and rapists and things like that. But now in Miami, the police are setting up mask traps they're spending their what is the thirty nine? I think officers that they put on a mask task force of some sort mask enforcement. The Mask Force? And now they are handing out fines because that's one of the things that cops do best is revenue generation they're out there they're not keeping your safe they wanNA write you a ticket but they are, of course couching it in the idea that Oh, well, we're just here to keep people safe right and so for one thing you ask what the mask is about you know ask yourself what is the mask about obedience it depends on the situation so. If you're in a small room, say a sauna with somebody and you're both wearing masks and you know you're expiring and people are coming in and coming out all the time and they're expiring there's nothing you can do no mask is going to make a difference. If you're in a eight by eight room that everybody is you can yack it in these kinds of things. If you're in a big room, then maybe you want to keep some of the. You know the that has bad ventilation. Maybe you want to keep some of the. Viral load down a mask might do some good outside where somebody and this is happening here with these cops where somebody may be wearing the mask just over their mouth but not over their nose Yep. Well outside the mask is intended to prevent you from while you're talking spitting. No stuff in people's eyes and that sort of thing. So you know like the thing is, is that masks become good luck terms they're they're lucky rabbit's feet because people aren't even understanding what they're intended to do at least this is my understanding of it. It just know that they've been told to do it right and the cops have been told you can give tickets instead of educating people on how to properly wear a mask and perhaps coming to a conclusion that may be different than their own listen. There Dudley do do right. Wearing a mask over your mouth outside is completely acceptable. I don't accept it. I'm not interested in wearing a mask at any point but. We, go on here with the story from reason, dot com it's been less than two weeks since Miami Dade County announced it would be finding people for not wearing masks in public already, Florida media outlets are filled with stories of people cited for wearing masks, improperly lowering their masks to sip a drink or removing their face coverings once outside of a store which see that happening all the time what I do on, take it off. The Miami Herald reported the Miami Dade Police Department has issued hundred and sixty two citations for violating the county's mandatory mass coordinates which comes with a one hundred dollar penalty. Nice amount of money right there. sixteen thousand dollars right there for the Miami Police Department that'll help cover those cops costs. Sixteen thousand isn't much for a cop I mean that's barely covered a month pay and benefits. Well, they're still they're still taxing people for that. So that's it's over and above what they already have coming in. They're paid fine right like they're not gonNA go short on pay they're they're taxing people property in other things sales tax. For that down in Miami. So this over and above that. Allow them to fit a cop cruiser Mask Force One, one woman Joanna Johnny says she removed her mask in the parking lot of a publix grocery store north Miami beach when a police officer approached her and wrote her a ticket for not wearing a mask. Johnny told the Herald the parking lot was nearly empty the she felt like she was set up by the police she's not the only one the ABC. Affiliate, local ten reported Dean Gonzalez was fined while leaving in north Miami Beach Publix because his mask didn't cover his nose, the encounter was captured on video in it and officer can be heard telling Zola's that improper masks usages as bad as not wearing a mask at all gonzales accused the cops setting up a mask trap and said, they threatened him with arrest if he didn't sign the ticket he was issued. And I did try to find that video but the article that originally found about it was not linking to it even though they mentioned that it exists. So thanks newspeople. NBC. Miami reports that Miami Dade police conduct five hundred, supposedly random compliance checks each day to enforce the county's Public Health Ordinance. They also identified one Wah Wah convenience store where eight people were cited over two days for not wearing masks. So you just in the police are indeed setting up mask traps. Mass mandates have proliferated across the United States as a way of combating the spread of Covid nineteen or so they claim why are people leaving the city to go to the countryside? Oh. So terrible that people would leave the city you put your mask on citizen. We're going to find you one hundred dollars and you go to jail. Like these people, these these bureaucrats, these officious a holes in the cities they they don't. The people that can move are going to move ladies and gentlemen they're going to leave all this has to do because you know all has to do is that little tipping point is reached emotionally and you say, you know what I've had it with the city and then you leave now and that's housing those of us from Florida don't actually consider Miami to be Florida. Anyway, it's just a different place and what is it north, Cuba? Wouldn't call it that I would call it a different place. All right. Miami Dade is just a different place than where I'm from. there. I've I've been there several times and it's nothing like the rest of Florida. Housing. and. You know I wouldn't. What are you talking about the real estate prices there and everything else I just get out even San Francisco, which is a large city with a mask mandate I. Somebody was asking me off the air today of Mellow. You know where you guys way libertarians focusing on these masks aren't there other things that you should be focusing on. It's like well. For a while they were telling people, they couldn't get together in groups of more than ten and in some places it was couldn't get together with anyone at all but they at the very least in New Hampshire that has been backed off upon now it's not true and other places. Some places I believe still have those restrictions in place at. A recently had. I believe is the United States Supreme Court that upheld the ruling that they churches couldn't have more than fifty people in the now. which to me -rageous I just got to say ladies and gentlemen. It's not that I agree or disagree it's that defying a government order in order to go to church sounds like the most American thing you can possibly do. I'm not advocating for people breaking the law I am I'm GonNa go advocate for an. Break that laws that any COP. That would would sight somebody or attempt to stop them from going to church. Sounds to me like a red coat. Right or stopping people came to this country. The people that came to this country came because their religion was so important to them they were willing to pick up and move on a deadly journey. This wasn't just pack up the minivan. This is a deadly journey think steadied. How `Bout crossing the Atlantic and you know like two hundred and forty years ago Americans thought that their independence from that organization was important enough. To stab people with bayonets and shoot them with muskets that worked for that government. And all I, it wasn't self defense. What that government was. Imposing its will upon symposium here they went to where they were. You know. Well John Paul Jones. He was the first naval admiral or something for the United States he he went over to the UK. Yep there and you know caused trouble and interest Yeah. I mean one of the greatest American stories that you'll ever read it's a fascinating. But nonetheless, it's don't know about. I don't know if I call it. Self Defense. It's but if somebody wishes to rule over you and you don't accept that rule, it doesn't matter what their uniform is. What matters is that you're able to take care of yourself and so know just saying to me. Going to church. Defying a government or in in defying a government order sounds like a very American thing to do absolutely right. We reported I think it was last week. I would not enforce that the California and you would have the discretion to not enforce it but the California government goon, the governor there had announced that churches would not be allowed to sing. That they yo you can go to your church as long as it's less than fifty people whatever. But if you're there, you shot be singing which, of course is one of the clear freedoms of speech because freedom of speech also includes the freedom to sing okay. It's pretty obviously included their. Freedom of religion freedom of speech doll right there in that First Amendment, which was the first one because it was the most important of them. So it's just multiple First Amendment violations rolled up into this whole cova crackdown that's been going on here and people just act like it's totally fine. Yeah. So I don't think singing in a closed room. Especially, an old church is the greatest idea Joe, if you're trying to avoid covid however what I would say that. First off I don't think in my opinion and I I'm not a judge. I don't get to have an opinion on this subject but in my opinion that any governor making any rule on what people do in churches out of their mind like the the First Amendment is getting away with it for a reason. However, if I was, you know setting up a church and what I'm trying to avoid. In fact, I do set up a church I hold church at my house every Sunday we have quaker that come there and we sit under a roof and there is screen and the stuff blows through or whatever. So you could sing if we saying we don't know. Aren't into that right there are quaker hymns however our particular group is just not into them and so you know what I would do is I'd set up a tent and build a deck and then people could have their church service that they wanna have outs outside. But again. But what if I wouldn't mind inside that's what you should be able to do. I would never tell anybody otherwise and. I would remind everybody out there what this country was founded. That's the thing the fact that the government gang has gotten away with this and you said there was some court decision backing Nevada was at a state one or federal federal. So the fact that courts are backing this up in the just flies right in the face of the constitution not that anyone cares anymore. I mean. It's obviously it's clear that no one really pays attention to what this thing says unless it happens to suit them in the moment and the commander to it, and we don't know what's going to happen in the In the long term as far as this goes, because remember the United States government, its subsidiary states, and it's local municipalities and. Put America on house arrest without granting Habeas Corpus. Sure and. Maybe even go into a courtroom maybe they'll say that that's you. Was a public emergency and we had to do it, and maybe they'll say, nope, you can't do this anymore and I don't know I presume they'll say so you can do some and you can't do the other and I'm curious. But I, I would bet that Americans freedoms have shrank in this amount of time. Yeah. A sharply divided United Sates Supreme Court denied a Rural Nevada churches request late Friday to strike down as unconstitutionally fifty person Cap. On worship services as part of the states ongoing response to see coronavirus. So United States Supreme Court. Wow that's it. That's the end of the rule ladies and gentlemen now according to the organization that has appellate jurisdiction over the constitution. The governor of Nevada can. Put a cap on how many people can be church any given time. A fifty, five, four, hundred, fifty free like freedom. That's eight, five, five, four, five, zero, three, seven, three, three that reminds me of another story that I saw that is outlining what court is going to look like since you just talking about this report. What about local court. What's that going to look like next? It's been shut down for my can't they do this on zoom. Well they could make defendants appear on camera doing for them. Yeah. They've been doing that and they are doing some of that remote appearances in front of the judge they've been doing that from the jails here for for a long time But I'm if I want to go watch trial I should be free to go watch trial sure and now they're going to be basically closing the courts to wear only the jury and the defendants and prosecutors and maybe like a handful the best public television right Community Radio Community television stations what are they called public access public access I mean for God's sakes put on that and then those public access channels can have their own. Websites than people all over can watch given I, mean, that's not a bad. Sort of half solution here mark but it's not the same as being in the courtroom. It's not the same as being seen by the judge or by the prosecutor or by the jury. As Oh look this person has support behind them. Well, no one will be there I get where you're coming from on that supports a good thing. I. Must say this though they'll the they'll probably see that more people are viewing than usual and that would send some message. No. Why when? The jury won't see that information and the defendant won't see that information and most people won't see that information because that's not available to the average. Make it available if that's what they wanted to do I, don't know how many cable systems have those. if you're talking about Nielsen Ratings, I, don't think that that exists I'm saying is that there are there's tremendous pressure on courts in America to do to go through plea bargaining to the point that the likelihood of you taking your case to trial is like one in thousand. Yeah, and it's going to be even less likely now because you can't even get a fair trial because you're going to be shoehorned into this new system where they're not even going to let the public really see these trials. Also another reason you don't WanNa. Watch it on TV is. What are you going to see? Is it going to be a wide shot of the entire room is they're going to be a director somewhere who's deciding I want to show the judge now I want to show the prosecutor. Now I want to show the witness now. Well, can I look at who I want to look at I wanna see the facial expressions of the Witness while they're being questioned I wanNA see what the judge is doing while the witness the judge paying attention or are they just reading you know reading a pad or something like that you won't be able to observe the things that you want to observe. Yeah it sure seems like something's going on. They got. Hydroxy chloroquine. Zithromax zinc is a well known. treatment option that's seems to be very effective and it's very cheap and it's being used all over the world. However Course. Our government and the media for whatever reason have decided to and torpedo this treatment and try and say that it doesn't work and try and say that there's all kinds of. Risk of using these medic medicines and these are all things that are. Generic, they've been used for other diseases and other treatment options. Do you think that's because they want to promote some new fangled drug that's patented and protected and expensive at you know instead of these generics are relatively easy to come across and relatively cheap. Bingo I think it's Donald Trump said the word hud. Chloroquine I think that's a by and large at this point. Everything's a political football and I'm not saying the Democrats are the only ones who are responsible for it. But it it seems like there are people out there that have this what trump derangement syndrome as they refer to it in essentially everything Orangemen does is so bad that if you even talk about it, you're you're on their side and I'm not an side I'm not voting for either one of your old crooked old perverts I don't want them. Well. What we have in the local hospitals here we have patients who have covid nineteen there in ICU and guess what they're being treated with. It's not being there not being treated with these inexpensive and effective drugs they're being treated with rim, Dez Aveer, and this is a very expensive brand new drug. Then nobody really knows what kind of side effects there will be or you know it had it hasn't been it hasn't. Seen. The test of time this is brand new. It's a thousand dollars or somewhere there abouts per does this is not cheap stuff. This is very, very expensive. This is what they're treating people with now I wonder how many people are dying because Rendez affair does not work as good as the cheap ineffective generic drugs that we know have a good track record. and. All of those people that are dying their blood is on the hands of the drug companies and the government agents all the good guess the drug companies, the government agents they sleep well at night anyway because they just don't think about it. They do but they shouldn't I mean at this is it's actually criminal what they're doing this. This is a criminal conspiracy and they're very real victims. They're very real people who are dying, and now they're trying to make it so that even doctors can't use these drugs they're trying to make it so that. They're trying to take that out of the quiver. So normally you have, we go to see your doctor, your doctor. Diagnosis. Your condition, and then depending on your physical. Ability to tolerate certain drugs they then find the drugs that hopefully will be the best ones to treat you well now, they're taking those drugs out of the quiver saying you're not allowed to use those, and if you do, you might lose your medical license. And that is criminal because those drugs there's nothing wrong with those drugs, they they've. That happened. Have they actually have? They actually pulled a doctor's medical licenses for prescribing these other generics? It's too new. It's too soon to find out if they're going to do that and the threat, the threat is there. We have seen stories that twitter and youtube have been taking down videos of doctors who have been questioning the official line on Covid have you heard about it? Yes there was there was that. By the day, it can become easy to forget their other epidemics that are plaguing Americans nationwide, and while the pandemic is largely taking direct toll on the older segments of the population young people's lives are being impacted by other crises according to one of the nation's top health officials. There are tragically two things that are killing more young people than covert itself in an online interview with institute earlier, this month Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director. Robert Redfield DR candidly discussed how school closures have affected children and teenagers. Across the country and how previously existing issues are becoming an even bigger problem for young people. He said quote we're seeing sadly far greater suicides. Now than we are deaths from covert, we're seeing far greater deaths from drug overdose that are above excess that we had as background. Then we're seeing the deaths from co fit suicide and drug overdose least among young people they're saying are much more dangerous people are killing themselves because they are likely frustrated with this new so-called, new normal, and so I've been watching the as as anybody who listens knows I've been watching the number of deaths that's going on in the United States not the number of covid deaths generally. and.
