Role, bureau prisons I realized that. I wasn't able to do that because there was too many things going on that had to be called out to many B O. P program a statement violations that actually be p policy that they are to follow and I just couldn't sit solids once I got there because there's just too many things going on and I saw too many women that aren't getting rehabilitated that were were actually coming back to prison during my time there I actually saw inmates that were coming back in there during the twenty seven months i. was was incarcerated because their B O P is not giving them any tools to go out into the free world and actually make it to where they can come back and I saw a lot of fraudulent activity on behalf of staffs if P, and also saw a lot of inmate rights being violated, and as you said, the Braun is supposed to be a federal camp. It's supposed to be the mental mental the lowest security you can get especially normal security and they were not treating women like they were at a camp. And they were treating women like they were there to be punished in. That is not supposed to be the mission of the Oh pay the mission of the B.. O.. P. is supposed to be to help inmates reintegrate back into society in a way that can help them become better people and I saw none of that all the programs there were fraudulent. They had inmates teaching ged classes but yet on paper, they were showing staff teaching these classes they were bribing in lollipops for when there would be a program review from people from the outside would come in to for the inmates to lock in say that they were being taught by staff when they were actually being taught by other inmates every every class there was taught by another inmate they had inmates I was even asked to lie on an. Application in take college classes, which I'm assuming they were going to get money for and already had a I in accounting and a BBC in finance and I only needed one internship to have my masters and I was being told not to put that on application and to take classes now, I ended up tutoring Oma own in the unit women that took these classes in helping him pass their business classes just because I, wanted to see women succeed but. To get me a staff member tried to get me to take those classes also took cosmetology there, and that's that's a huge fraudulent program. They're they're given hours for a federal grant program that they're getting that the inmates are not doing those hours. So there's a lot of fraud besides appreciation of money assault frivolous money being spent your taxpayer dollars being spent ordering things at the end of the year, day? Oh, just order all sorts of stuff and then half of it would disappear never. We would never say it. So it went home with staff type like what type of. Stuff you example TV's ruin. Yeah. One time I was re entry clerk at when I first went to Brian saw worked inside the education department and it was at the end of the year and they had like twenty thousand dollars that they just needed just just blow to. So they wouldn't lose it for the following year and they were coming around light to sledding inmates that were their favorites, order all kinds of just jump basically, and then they spent twenty or thirty thousand dollars on chairs. We didn't need just to spend the money. There was like a set time when TV's. It's is crazy and let me tell you the food they feed is horrible. A lot of it was years the expiration day there was some of it on the box that said not for human consumption. So. There's just a lot of yes. In heard that from inmates at other facilities as well it's not just Brian. They feed me that like I said when everybody that goes to Brian. Rule that you have to work in the kitchen for ninety days. Okay. So the first job they assign you to is the kitchen well, because I have a screwing my ankle, I was not able to wear the boots. I was actually not supposed to Bobbio P. policy by their own Osha policy at that facility, their own safety policy. I was not even supposed to work in the kitchen, but that didn't stop him. There were four women in their in walkers that couldn't even stand up. They were making the war work that couldn't wear the boots. So they violate those kind of rights as well. But Anyway, the first job you get working in the kitchen and the first day I'm told to put the serial out in I'm like wait a minute. This is February of two thousand or a probably was into march by now eighteen. And this says it expired in two thousand fourteen. To have that like Ca. Yes, there was a lot of time I mean when you first go, they're your stomach stays totally upset from the food. It's horrible like what they fade they. Also they're medical there's really bad. For instance one year. We were having a virus go round in a lot of people that had the stomach bug or food poisoning or whatever. The case was was kitchen workers and they don't let those people go get well, they make them go to work and work and Cook Food and serve food to other inmates. So disliked started running rampant through the compound this virus back I got it and they were telling me that I had to get up and go to work regardless. And I had one of the guards you know was telling me he was gonNA, write me up and ship me off the compound and I had actually had a note for medical saying that I didn't have to go to work that day because I was sick because I really had gotten so dehydrated, I couldn't stand up and discarded or thirty in the morning telling me to get up and go to work anyway was forcing me to basically scoop down. The stairs because my stomach was hurting so bad I couldn't stand up straight and he literally pushed me out in a office chair that was sitting there with wheels on it out to a four wheeler guards drawn all over the compound the end and took me over to the kitchen and tell me I had to go to work regardless now I'm sick throwing up dehydrated have whatever bug and psalm basically passing the song to whoever else is eating in the cafeteria. But that went on all the time I saw inmates almost died their their medical care was horrible. I. Mean I've I've seen an inmate they let go. So long they cooled a tooth for this particular inmate and the impact got dry socket and medical. The roommates of the semi kept taking this person a medical and they kept saying work to that. We're not GONNA do anything until the inmate had blisters in their mouth they could not even they were having to sit up to bre- to sleep. Finally the Senate passed out in the floor and one of the guards called an ambulance and they had to have a tracheotomy. From in the amulets and the doctors at the hospital, and this is just one case there was many assault lady who's appendix ruptured. They wouldn't take her to do anything I just told you about the skin cancer issue that I have right now that I was showing them for like over a year and they were telling me no big deal even though when I went to Brian I took my own personal medical records that said, I needed to see the dermatologist ever six months because I had already been having things burned off that were reoccurring the yet I was in prison for twenty seven months and I never saw the dermatologist and. As I told you, I had to have some biopsies that came back actual cancer not pre-cancer any longer and it's because they would not take me to the doctor. I saw a lady that she was on seizure medicine she told him. this isn't the medicine that I've been taking and they told her to shut up. Yes, it is. She kept getting sicker and sicker to the point she came in like in her thirty s was a healthy individual or she did have seizures by the time she left she was on a Walker and they had to send her to Carswell to the medical center because they almost killed her because she was on the wrong meds apparently and kept making her go to work at the kitchen telling her like they do everybody will you're faking? You just don't WanNa go to work. And to the point that her liberal was so damaged that they said, they didn't know she didn't she may never recover. They were a lady Di that had the flu that turned into pneumonia choosing or sixty. She worked in the kitchen they made her go to work in that condition. and. She literally ended up dying I. Know a lady that had heart issues and she had a hernia hernia was hanging down. It looked like she was pregnant. This hernia was hanging down so far. And one day her heart was acting up and they called from the unit said, Hey, this lady's heart snap she may be having a heart attack they told her to walk to medical which was a good fourth of a mile from the units and she actually had a heart attack on the way to medical because they were too lazy to come to the in it. And that's just some of the stories. There was many people I saw that they were lady that had cancer they waited to her leg got so bad. It had to be amputated and she had to be sent elsewhere. Will. Write a book. On planning. My blog, my blog inside the walls out of what I talk about that. Yeah. They had no issue with my blog until about nine months into incarceration. So I will before we get to that. So how do you right? So what are the restrictions on writing a blog well in prison Well, there's actually no the O P policy against it because they can't silence your boys they tell you they can. But if you become a policy grew like I became because I just wanted to learn the policies I saw Bali somebody writes that I I was like I can't sit by and not say anything this is this is not right so. They tell you can't but the truth is you can now they write all shots, the inmates every day. They wrote in fact, they wrote me three falls shots but I beat every one of them because they were false and I knew policy and I just turned it right back on him and like I told you, I became kind of the go to person for policy with other inmates because. A lot of inmates get fall shots. So in emit started coming to me and I use it when you say false for explain what that means. Well, Assad is an instant report meaning the B. O. P. Member says you had violated. A rule. A policy that the is supposed to follow. And you lose commissary you lose phone, you lose email, you live video chats you can lose good Tom and what I saw at Brian was they definitely over punished inmates you didn't just lose one of those things they would take multiples and sometimes all of them including trying to take good time days because what I learned by being the B. O. pay is that it's All a numbers game about with them they don't WanNa let people out. They don't want to rehabilitate and let women out there trying to keep people there for the money and we can get into that later. How while I was at Brian I? saw them overpopulate the place. Will I WANNA I do WanNa talk about that at some point but your question about the incident report. The shots it does help them punish you know inmates in and again take good tom that makes them have to say the O. P.. For longer periods. But they took great offence to my blog about nine months into my incarceration when I first got to Bron mainly, what I blog about was mafia liens of self surrendering You know how it was to be at a federal prison camp you know be taken wipe your family things like that. It was more a personal a journal ongoing As you know, my blog started out about my case sub I started out blogging my frustration with being in a sense being accused of a crime going to trawl losing being sentenced to forty five months or you know something I didn't do. And just trying to blog about my case. So that's how my blog started. Then I continued when I got to Brian and the way the way I would get my blog published was I have a friend and I would email it to her. She was approved contact so I would write whatever I wanted her to post and I would email it to. Her and she would log into my blog site and she ran it for me while I was gone and she would post whatever it was. I wrote while about nine months into nine Carson ration- I wrote a blog, and in the title of it was corruption at the O. P. and I started talking about the corruption I was seeing at Bryan Texas. As soon as I wrote them. In that in that blog post drew members any specific examples that you call it out the. Call out the one about them trying to get inmates to live on applications. So then they paid I talked about the COSMO, the the fraudulent hours in a and I got removed from that program at the time because of it to got targeted I did fight and get my Senate turn bobbed and I thought them with administrative remedies, which is a BPA MBP nine. Eleven which is an inmate's bright to have a grievance against the B.. O.. Pay would be the best way to to tell your listeners what that is but I did fight them and I actually got back into the program Three Months Fighting B. O. pay and getting my my state senator involved. But it anyway, they took great offence. Go to my blog when posted the one about the fraudulent corruption at ten and I was actually called into lieutenants office I was placed in the shoe that they have there, which is The. Housing Unit but they they did not have it brian a long term shoot. They had to ship you off the compound at the time they were shipping inmates to Waco since then they now ship them to Houston I have contracts with holding facilities because Brian is a standalone camp. It is not a lot of camps or like satellite there there's an FBI or higher level security to where they send the inmates over to the high level security shoe as punishment but it Brian they are standalone stamp so they didn't have anywhere to send you to the shoe, but they did have a temporary shoe. Within Saad the lieutenants office back behind it between it medical. So, they put me in there for a little over two hours. As long as I think they can hold you in that one and they actually told me that were shipped in May and that I was GonNa get shipped and you know this happened on December twenty, first two, thousand eighteen and like I said I had self surrendered on February twenty, six of eighteen. So I've been there. You know not even eleven months ten months when this happened but I blog about corruption and like I said, I got a receipt didn't institute report. They said that I had violated a B. O. P. Policy to ninety six, which said I was doing three way. male. Now Mind you do not have this behind the BOP as they do not actually have a video internet or. email policy they have a male us mail policy and I have found policy so that use the US mail policy in wrote me up and said I was circumventing mail. So circumvention means that I was communicating in a way that was illegal. meaning that a lot of inmates have people there blocked from from talking to. Bail pay policy says in general that an inmate can can communicate with the population at large in other words anybody out in the free unless you bought from. However if you are trying to communicate with someone that you're not allowed contact with that is circumvention for instance, there were inmates that had a boyfriend that was locked in prison somewhere or husband, and they did not have communication. They were not allowed communication. They would light write a letter, mail it to their family and their family would mail it to that person then that person would mail a letter back to the family and they would mail it into the inmate. Through circumvention that is, it's honestly it's only. I mean. My opinion it's ridiculous to think that the could prevent people from doing that. Right there was of course. It is against their policy. Circumvention. But what I was doing was directly mailing emailing to mock rank. Cabbie. Who I had approved contact with she was approved in my contacts for me to communicate with. And I was emailing her and she was posting it, there is no b o p policy that says, if I e mail you something, you can't post it wherever you want to or that you can't run a social media account for me or a blog or any. Any kind of like facebook or anything an inmate can still have that if someone's outside running it, I mean I a lot to do to. Do facebook. Lately an in what it is. There's no policy against it, but they try to make you think there is because they don't want you putting out what really goes on. You know on the Internet there they won't try to keep quiet they understand I'm sure people tell their family things but they don't like it when you're being very vocal about their fraudulent activity. So they wrote me up for this circumvention. And I was called in out, starved it by the lieutenants office, and then I had to go before what's called your unit team meaning that Unit team is like your counselor, your case manager, the unit manager, which is the people over your unit you live in a unit is is where the inmates lip. So you have to go before them and they're telling me that you know I'm guilty of the S. and I'm saying, well, I disagree with you because here's what this policy says onto ninety six and awesome. So here's my. List of questions on however, Bali did this policy. I've written a list of questions like what did I do that circumvent it who did I communicate with I? Didn't have a right to why is it that you're trying to like my first amendment rights to freedom of speech K.. So they didn't like it s quick quick question. Did you even have anybody you weren't allowed to communicate with? Absolute. There you can't. Have anybody that I wasn't allowed to communicate with. Okay. So. That being said Ah to ninety six is a serious shot. The most serious shot you can get instant report is one hundred series. The next most series is to then there's three and four, the three and four level are decided at the institution. The one to level has to go before something called A. D. H. O., which is a disciplinary hearing officer. The the one that was the disciplinary hearing officer at the time I received the incident report was a Mr Biddable and he was at the regional office in Grand Prairie Texas. So I went and looked policy on incident reports and I got all my got scenario and I said I want a staff representative and I knew who I wanted someone that they didn't like and someone that was going to be for me not for them and this particular person I talked to him on the side and said, hey, here's what they say idea I disagree and he goes well I agree with you you didn't do it. He goes you're right to fight it. So I go in there and say his name that I'm gonNA use him as my SAP Representative and say they're not used to inmates knowing this stuff. So they're freaking out right there will I I don't think you can have that and I, just pull the policy right out and say, well, let me just show you right here where it says that policy such and such says not start quoting this policy in their eyes get huge because they're not used to inmates that are you know are going to go do all this research so I I tell them what my rights are and I said Oh and by the way, here's my list of questions. And I want these to be sent to the D. H. O. Officer that I'M GONNA be gone before and I'm GonNa, need these answer prior to me going for the C. H. L. Officer because I'm GonNa need to prepare my defense for what you say idea. So and I told him I said, and also you can let the D. H. officer know that I will be following a lawsuit against the B.. O. Pay for violation of our rights to freedom of speech. If this goes any other now Monje, my unit team is telling me at this Tom that Oh. Yes you violated this you know yes. You're definitely going to be found guilty I said okay we'll say. Go back to my room. It wasn't twenty minutes I was called back down there and they tell me Oh, by the way, region says that this is being a sponge there's no record of it. all the stuff that they made me sign. They would not give me a copy of our roadmap for that. Never got a copy of it. I did have the original incident report and I still to this day haven't in fact I'm GONNA posted it soon, my blog. About how I was targeted and retaliated against it. Brian. But I had made copies trying to get it off that compound melt it to my husband several times never could get it off the compound. So finally I mailed it to my senator under what's called Special Mail to where they can't even open it and I took it straight up to the mail a person myself and I said this does not get to my senator. We will have an issue because you cannot open special mail in it has to go to him. So at any rate, he did get that my husband was able to get a copy of it and I finally. Put I. Was Melanson Books Home in a box and I finally hit the mark copy that I kept of it in a book when I at home to my husband and when I got home I went that book in my box and got it out. So I have the original as well. So they spend it in they got rid of the proof, but they couldn't get rid of the shot. They had actually served on me because they have to give you a copy of that when when you got lieutenants office so I was served in that timeframe three fall shots they said that I went to I was out of bounds because I use the bathroom in education. I was not out of bounds. It was just something they were. They were not used to inmates who would actually stand up to them. So every time I got shot I just went in there and said Okay I'm listening to you know whatever they would shake my locker down though almost stuff out teric stuff you know target me like that a lot of the officers would be like a spay Ho I know who you are I'm like well good. Thank you I'm I'm I'm glad to know you know my name. Thank you and I even had officers. It were cool with made it will come out and say Yes I hear all about you and I'm like, really what do you hear like? Oh, I want to stay on your good stop because I did become known to put paper in their life and that means riding bph nonsense and eleven's. The BPA is an informal resolution meaning that you You give it to your counselor and they try to resolve it with the staff member, and if they supposedly resolve it, it doesn't go in there fall. Then the non goes to the warden, but you have to get to a T. N. to get to region in eleven to get to Washington and. What's an example of something? You said you wrote a couple of these. What would be something that you wrote wrote some well, we had a guard that was following rights he was targeting A. Lesbian women, he was calling them those as identifies other yet and I. I took great offense to him doing that even though I'm not lesbian. It's just the point you're not gonNA mistreat someone like that. They have their right to their their personal beliefs and he would call a call us hood rats and China's which means filthy dirty pigs and Spanish. He would target specific immates for instance, if he did count and he thought you looked At Him. Weird or something during counter, he may have thought you whispered to your roommate We have the four caught count but ten o'clock count that standing counts that you have to stand up and they come around and count. Guard states that's air-breathing institution be P wide. So if he thought you moved wrong or look wrong or whatever he thought, he would announce to the entire unit. Well, you just lost your TV and common area tonight because of room such and such. So he would actually try to pit made against inmate, which is a huge violation of. Policy because you're creating unsafe living environment, arsim. Foremost and you're supposed to be there to to keep order insecurity. How secure does that guy has to be to be doing shit like that? That's It was crazy he he did a lot of things. He he would at mail call he would if an inmate smell mel called the night before which you're not required to come to call first and foremost there's no policy requiring me to go pick up my mail I mean if I don't want my mail, that's my perogatives, right so he would try to embarrass them make he would tell them. I'm gonNA write you a shot or you can get your chair when I do mail call. Tonight you'll be sitting by the desk step here with the alcohol call so he just tried to intimidate. Humiliate. Domain all bad is a violation of a B. O. P. policies well, because it says stap is not demean or retaliate or you know any of those things to inmates you're not inmates cannot be by staff in the in the doesn't all the time. So I wrote staff for for that I mean you know you don't get to tell me to stop FM slap in Montgomery. Killing this to everybody not just the person that he's talking to and mass unilateral punishment is also about relations. Policy and when you're taking away the common area, which is where the tables are and the seating area inside the unit where everybody to us, and that's worth. TV's are also in you're saying you can't watch TV you can't be in the common area you can. You know you can't do this you can't do that only because he got mad at one room during cal. You know you're punishing an entire unit for one person's behavior or what he thought was one person's behavior. He would it male call he would like throw mail at people. He would sit there and read Peoples Mail out loud. He had no right to do that. In fact, the O. P. Policy States to federal crime isn't it to be doing It does say guards staff members are able to read your mail. They're able to look at it but the policy strictly prohibits them from actually even discussing my mail with another staff member unless it's for security reasons, he would sit there and start reading male out loud now rnd. which is receiving discharged. They are the ones that are over the receiving of the male and they're the ones that approve what mail in. So the mail that comes to the unit has already went through the screening process and has been approved for the inmate to have. This particular guard would start critiquing it in saying what this person just here a few months ago. There's no policy that says you can't communicate with an inmate just left. Now if you're on. Probation I think there's sometimes probation officers will prohibit you from talking to somebody but that has to be specific thing. In it would be the inmate that's on the outside that would have to do with that. Not The people still left behind that are getting the mail from the left, right so he would start saying well, this inmate was just here when they just when they just at this facility in critiquing male or he would tell told a woman one night he said. you get a whole lot of books. What do you do in selling these? She's like, no, I'm an avid reader. In, fact, she ran the library shed a library in our unit that she shared these books with we all everybody like that. We got books we all donated them in. She made sure there was plenty to read reminds right he's taken her and the policy says, you can get five books per day. You can get as long as you don't get any more than five a day you can get them everyday. You can't have all be stored in your locker or stored somewhere but like I said, she ran the slobbery. So there was a spot that they were allowed to be stored for us, check out and things. So he told her well, you keep getting this many books. I'm going to I'm on a a stop light and you have him and he had no right to any of this to say any of this and he wasn't particularly targeting me. Because you know he never really messed with me but just because I didn't feel that what he was doing to other inmates was right took a stand against him and wrote him up. Then after that, he tried to target me he came to my room and told me to get out. He was going to search it and the first time. He took an orange jug I had. It was like orange, thermos and I. couldn't get it back because I didn't have proof of purchase because another inmate had left that when one of my roommates when she went home at, left it so he he was able to keep that. He didn't have to give it back to me, and then he came another night he told me to get out. He was going to search our room and he told me he goes don't worry I've already taxed you the last time meaning he took the orange job and I just stood there looked at it amount I was like, who are you the irs? You don't get tax me for anything. So a roadmap for that and I I wrote him up for a lot of things When I was in Oklahoma as you well, know I left Brian I was in the process of relocating to another camp when I was released from the transfer center at Oklahoma but When I was in Oklahoma, I was actually served with an affidavit from. higher-ups from that right up wanting me to sign off on it saying that I agreed that he had done all be saints and I did sign it. So I do know they're investigating him now knowing the B., o. p. they're probably just investigating him on paper, but I do know even other guards didn't care for him. So it's possible. Something could happen because I know he got the face of a female guard also besides you know The way he treated inmates he also he would. He would just make horrible comments. So he would make racial comments to inmates. He would make like I said derogatory comments to people with their sexual orientation but he's just one of the many guards there that mistreat inmates he's just an example of it. Hey everybody. So they moved you out of Bryan Texas to Oklahoma. What was the reason for that move resist something Here's the funny part I should have been furloughed and I was told I won't be delayed Brian and go to carswell because it was closer for my husband to drive and I was just really sick Abhran the I had I had been called in again and putting the shoe again for also blogging again by new lieutenant and I had to school him and tell him I. Did we've already been down this road like a year and a half ago so they'll make you write you up. You know we've I've already won once about this blogging so and he was telling me while I'm flagging your emails I'm sending them to SA s meeting. The investigative authorities there might a okay great you know like I told you. We've already been down this road in fact, he got really mad at me. He studying the shoot for two hours again because when he told me, he was flagging my email I said, will it wasn't a Russian flag was at you're not communist star you and Oh, he did not like that at all and then. he was telling me you know he was gonNA had shipped and I'm like. Well, okay great? So he put me in the sheep for another two hours. So the next morning I was leaving breakfast not happen to see the warden and She had gotten plenty of emails for me and I'd but got a report because I would just go right up to inside look here's what your staff is doing, and here's what I'm going to do about. It I had reported a Preah Possible Preah, meaning a sexual against the sexual rape at that the staff on inmate sex and I had reported that in bay called me in. This lieutenant and they had one of the psychologists in there and they were trying to force me to take back my reporting it. And I'm. Not GonNa do it. Not, going to because. You know the the chaplains having sex with inmates discovering the kitchens having sex with inmates. These are all staff members and I'm I'm not gonNA take it back. In fact you do whatever you want to me and I wish you would semi to the shoot for this because then region will come and speak to me and I'm GonNa him all about everything going on here more than I've already written to them and wrote you up for and so they put in the she for two hours in the captain call me and tell me I shouldn't be discussing this things with staff and I was like. You can't silence me. So you know I should be blogging about it too bad. I'm not gonNA stop and a flat toting not gonNA stop on the war in the next morning I told her I said. You know your staff don't me here and I'm really I'm really getting tired of fighting all these battles anyway. I'm about to be out in the year how about transferred cars wail and you sign off on let me get out of here. and. So she was like you know acted like she would do it. So I went to my counselor my case manager I told her I. wanted to transfer to cars well, only if I cannot go to Kars well, which is fifty miles up the road. Then I'm GonNa stay right here where I'm at in continue to basically hotel accountable. So either help me get out of here to cars well or out of Styrofoam here we'll just keep going through the same process. So she told Me Okay Well, she put that in on a Monday. The following week I get called in and told a pack my step on going on airlines. Okay. Back in November of last year I had fought for in one a furlough, a twelve hour furlough with my husband and I was total white collar person could never had one that was bronze rule. After. I. Got my follow a lot of white collar people started getting them because I set kind of a trail for them to be able to say wools I. Got One. She's collar. So I gotta follow ought to leave the prison for twelve hours and go out into the community with my husband. He came to Bryan Texas in Pitney up and we we could stay anywhere one hundred miles within a hundred miles of the of the prison got to go to mall. We go out to e pedicure whatever I wanted to do you know for twelve hours? So there was no reason for me to be put on airlift when already had a social furlough I should've been allowed and I was told when I put in transfer that that was another stipulation acid. If I will be allowed to furlough meeting, my husband will pick me up and carry me up to to a carswell considering on self surrender already been out on a furlough. You know there's no reason for me to be shipped and they they assured me that would they find? As there's no threat, a threat of you trying to escape and run away. Almost, to the door, like by the time, almost I've been there two years by the time I left brought so. I'M NOT GONNA. If I'm self surrender for crime, I didn't commit and I'm going to be there for two years. And I'm going home in should've went home in November this year I'm going to get out early but why would I run away? Then that's just crazy but but since we are speaking running away just so you know an inmate did walk away from Brian this morning at six thirty it's on the news right now. So as one that left but that's out of the camp. Yes. Very rare. Bay Rare. But anyway, so I was told, yes, I, would be able to follow and yes I would get a car as well or Akkad say they're right well a week later I mean they'd process my paperwork like double quick. So a week later I'm called and toad pack step I'm leaving the next earliest now mind you that's con air that is being handcuffed and shackled belly chained. Whole nine yards up never even had handcuffs on I was never even arrested. You know in the first place ever I was just told to report to pretrial and I was out on pretrial the whole time until also surrendered. So I've never been in jail. So never been handcuffed any of this. So there was no reason for someone who are minimal security. I was community custody by this time bronze starts everybody out at out custody. But that was another thing I brought to their attention that you're violate my rights because I should have always been community custody and I had made them change that. Back like you know year before. So I was community custody I was minimum security. My patterns score was a negative seventeen, which is that's the new risk assessment that the first step at put into place. So I was a negative seventeen on the pattern and I was minimal. So there was no reason ever for me to have to go to Oklahoma, the transfer center, which is a higher security level in you're actually in a sale locked up you're actually behind a closed door in your only out certain hours a day it's not it's a camp you're in a room at certain times you have to your sale that call it, but it's there's no door it's you know an open SPEC, they sent you on, you know conair and through that whole ordeal to Oklahoma relation. Because I wouldn't take the prima at the time because. I had been blogging about it about their possible Priya violations because they would push them under the rug. They would try to hide him and as you know Coleman's had pre you lauren rentals zone. Coleman's had a bunch of Preah. Alisonville. There is going on Hazelton it's going on awesome I can I can tell you from being in Oklahoma and talking to other inmates that are been at other female facilities it's widespread. Okay. So they're they're trying to hide their priebus relations is what they're trying to do. They don't want want them out there back most everybody that's ever gotten investigated at Braun has been exonerated the stack number has. Fact they usually ship the inmate off of the of the compound. So the inmate can't really be part of the investigation and as far as I. Understanding is that happens you know at other facilities as well? So they're investigating themselves. Really the only as a neutral third party it's just the up skate themselves. In the thing about their admin remedy gates and things. They, they hold those up, they try to force. They try to frustrate the inmates where they give up in most inmates do not many are persistent like I was in will just keep on writing them up like I learned the policy and I would be like well, you're twenty days is up and you didn't expand you didn't. You didn't give me an answer. So guess what I'm moving up to the nine, and then you know after that I'm moving up to the ten. In fact, on some of my write ups I would I would really put at the end of it. I would be like in just. So you know this is going to go all the way to an eleven because I won't to note to know what you're doing here. So you know I was not I was not a stack favorite needless to say I was told several times by a unit team that I was just going to bring a lot of problems on myself for helping other inmates and I told him I was like, well, I'm very sorry. But if staff we're going to invite other inmate, it might rights and they come to me for help even if I don't even agree with their stand on something in someone wants me to help them with policy. I'm dern sugar to help because I can assure you all y'all are covering for each other. It's funny though because my unit manager. We did not get along in fact I wrote her up several times as well. And when when the hairdryers go out or irons would go out our unit, they would all come to me a spay can you please get us an iron or air dr because as soon as you write something, they're going to get it to us. You know side sooner an email and sure enough that day we you know we'd get that autumn because she if they didn't I was GONNA call policy on because it does say in the trust fund policy that they have to provide those things. So you can't just not give them to to the inmates. So. I would I would get called by inmates to do things like that that I guess further alienated from staff but I didn't care because the point was you shouldn't have to even go through all those links to get them to do what is their job to start with What a funny thing is half them come to work maybe once a week and when they're they're they'll they'll put up a sign that they won't even see and you know when you're trying to see unit team, you really need need to see those people because those are who are putting in for your halfway house or if you have any other issues trying to get visitation. I had to write up a one of the counselors because she wasn't a proven dissertation. They're supposed to approve those as soon as possible. So people can get visits and there was women there that six months had been there and still couldn't get visit because this this one council what dinner up. So I wrote her up well that very night there are a lot of them came to the desk and people were coming to me going oh my gosh. Thank you. I've been trying to see my husband for six months and now he's finally approved because you wrote the woman APP. Today. You know it was things like that. That shows you that. They could have done those jobs already it shouldn't have took me call in policy on them, riding them up. To get them to do what they should have been doing to start just don't care. Down and it's sad but the day before I left when I was being A. Like this. Could tell I felt like my unit manager was part of it. She didn't act like she was very happy about it and she did try to help me get. On a onto our low and there was another lady, their staff member that really liked me because she even asked me when I wanted to transfer. She goes who is GONNA. Tell me what's going on here if you're not here, who's GonNa, who's GonNa report to me of what the staff members are doing you know like she actually didn't like what she was seeing their other. And US it will. There's other inmates that know what goes on here and she goes yeah but I need some is going to be honest with me. You come in here and you tell me your don't sugar coat it. You're you're honest about it and she actually encouraged lights the fact that I would write people up because it held the staff accountable for things that were supposed to be be done like I said anyway without writing them up. But she tried to help me in my unit team tried to help me get a furlough. Instead of going on airlifts that day they tried to get me off the airlift Stephen, but it was the warden, the higher, the a dead yet the warden Wedner but the idea in higher ups would not allow it. I think they just like, oh no, we got opting to get rid of this one get her out of here before she writes someone else and that's how I felt they were they were happy to see me go because not many people have the guts to hold them accountable. And like I said, they tried it. Can you tell if the leftovers from this dinner party are beginning to grow bacteria that could lead to severe diarrhea, vomiting and stomach cramps listen. Now last time we talked we were getting ready for the launch in here was this private venture with the approval and help of NASA and a couple of vets Bob. Franken and Doug Hurley. Went up and this newly designed spacesuits everything and we all had our fingers crossed so far so good Yeah, the the mission, the orbit portion of it has gone really well league. The Bob was outside for a few spacewalks. During a work on the outside of the of the space station with Chris, Casati and other American astronaut who was up there Chris went up and down wind up with the Soyuz will be coming back with us us as well. in the space spacecraft is behaviorally well, I was on orbit, they're going to plan is to undocking. Come back on Sunday just got an update on the weather. It sounds like the weather it looks pretty good to to make that happen. You've gotTA worry about. The seat states and so on. Because they've splashes down, we haven't had a spacecraft. Splashdown with people inside from the US in a long time since since nineteen, seventy, five. So. The actor that it was the space shuttle landing on a runway so and so it's a big deal. It's kind of interesting too as you mentioned. Yeah. Like Ford was president and he's before the bicentennial that we've had those time ago was. Yeah was the splashdown seen as a you know an antiquated way of doing things or was it kind of a hey, why should we get away from this? This'll work perfectly for this vehicle. it's It's. A splashdown. Is Not maybe as. As cool necessarily as landing on a runway, like the shuttle was able to do but for the practicalities of getting people to and from our planet. there's a lot of advantages to doing the splashdown per runway. You need to be able to land on a runway, which means you not only have to get over a runway. You have to navigate to one, which is a and we think of a growing might be kind of large a couple miles long but in relation to that, the rest of the planet is. It's really small. So you've gotta hit that target perfectly if you're going to land on, you can't be too fast too slow the shuttle was that was a glider coming in was only one shot at the runway. So it even your board scenarios, the the preferred aborts to try to find a running to land on as well whereas if you try and get an ocean and there's a lot more of that than than you know just sitting around way. So he can off a little bit and still be okay. But other than that it, there's other things to just the the. Shape of spacecraft the shape of the shuttle and the the have wheels on, and of course, landing gear had to come out of the General Protection System on the bottom it gave kind of a strange shaped in order for it to be able to to launch an also LAN. So it had little bitty wings. So lot of drag not much left to Atlantic very fast. Very complicated because of that and and the the Texas they would. You really worried about primarily you're worried about a lot of things but but primarily worried about the heat shield the integrity of the heat you'll be able to take over the heat of re-entry because you're going to slow down what you saw in the launch. All that energy has to come out and you have to slow down the able to detect you're. GonNa splashdown in the case of the shuttle to slow down to be able to land and all that heat, all the heat is generated through the through friction and the atmosphere, and that's how you slow down. So the shape of the shuttle and the way it was launch and so and had an exposed heat shield that was really complicated whereas this a blade of heat shield that each year that will be on the On the SPACEX vehicle Brisbane protected the whole time. It will only be used for the entry portion this shake of it is ideal for this and so all that makes the splashdown really a lot safer than what we did with the space shuttle. So for those reasons and others the splashdowns a pretty good idea. So it's kind of like it seems like we're going backwards but I think we've we've learned is that for the time being that's a pretty good way to go. I remember you telling me about the space shuttle which you went up in a couple of times you you're kind of off the payload, this space x vehicle and correct me if I'm wrong, it seems more of a personnel type of vehicle and whether it's for space. You know vacations and holidays and things. It's it seems like it's more designed to deliver people than stuff. Is that correct? Yes that's true. But it's interesting though is that this space craft has pretty much the same exact one that they use to bring cargo. So the with the with the show did was bring seven people and cargo what this vehicle can do it similar to what they've launched it for the cargo ship to the space station. But they you know they put a lot more into it when you fly people who need life support and so on. So in some ways, it's it's similar to what the for cargo but I think your point is, is that when it's outfitted for people that's pretty much what it's outfitted for and you don't really have much of a payload to take with you have. So yeah, it's designed a similar in a way that the the soy, the Russians design airspace crap is that you launch. People with a small amount of cargo. A little bit of food and supplies and stuff like that. But not very much cargo stakes, not much of a payload bay And you launch your item to your stuff separately. So that's what the Russians have had done for. For All these decades they've been flying their cosmos space stations. It worry about one vehicle, one spacecraft for the people and another spacecraft for supplies, and then a whole `nother heavy lift spacecraft launch, big pieces of the space station. So with the shuttle, we did everything it was it could watch huge pieces of equipment could bring a lot of stuff back. Launch a lot of people in a lot of supplies and you can do that all with with one patient. And that sounds like a good idea but then you never really optimizing for any one of those whereas you you've brought out that I think very well that the space spacex vehicle that we're seeing now dragging is optimized for people in ashes about it it's more like a taxicab. It's GONNA take people up to the space station GonNa take them somewhere and bring them back safely, and that's what it's designed and optimized to do. You Know I. It always fascinates me about you know hearing that on. Reentry, if the angle is maybe two straight down, you're going to burn up the heat shield can take it. But then if it's too slight, you're literally going to bounce off the atmosphere and go to Pluto. How how? How's About. Walking. Yeah. Now where where do we stand with? Well, that's still a problem. You. You want your entry angle to be D- just right and for everything you want a Lotta things. So lying he wanted to be able to burn your your Deorbit burn at the right time and so that you can renter the atmosphere at the right angle be able to have the field in the right position and everything's gotta be just right but I I pretty. Confident they're going to get that right. They've done that with with their with their supply ship and they've also done it with this cruise ship without any crew inside of it, and we've been doing that for a long time at the fate of that makes it easier that we really know everything that can happen but but you're you're right the entry is you know we looked at this when we not as an astronaut. The general feeling was that launches where you really worried because that's when the big fires coming out of the back end of the spaceship and bad things happening explosions and all that. But entry is also quite dangerous. Of course, we love didn't lose Columbia on on entry, the Russians lost a couple had two accidents with with cosmonauts involved during entry. So is not it is not a trivial thing to do and some of the things you mentioned like making sure that your line up correctly so that if your angle is to if you're too shallow, you'll bounce off the to easy my turn up or it are not good things. Of course you want. WanNa get the angle. Right so that you'll be able to slow down and also hit the target of where you calling even though the ocean is big as I mentioned, they're planning to come off the coast of Florida. They have options on both the East and west coast. So they WANNA be around there. They don't want to end up in the middle of Pacific they want to end up in right off the coast of the Gulf of Mexico or Orleans. Closer. The closer to Florida coast. Last question for you here my dad has naval officer whenever united, states is in some sort of conflict he always thinks to himself. and. I wish I was there and I say well, you're eighty so they don't need you. The question I have for you is when you see all this stuff even though everything that you've done the economy fill guy, I, wish I was there. Oh Yeah I saw it isn't a question records because like if I look at it what I like to go tomorrow and fly on the spaceship or do it in a you know it's Going back there I miss it a lot I. it was not eighteen years and that's you know I still miss it. But really what the real question is, it's not just a flight or the you know the the entry are all that it really is the preparation, the training in the years that it takes to get ready for those things and I think when when I really think of it, do I wish I was there with them? Absolutely I wish I wasn't space right now. Yeah but but really to be an astronaut, it's is it is all the preparation which is what I really loved as national. That was really the thing that I miss. The most is the preparation of. Training working with the engineers. particularly. Double Space Telescope Program that's what I miss. But you know at this point you know, I'm Kinda like, okay. I the training getting ready and all that that's that's really where you're paying the price to go to space and I'm okay with not doing that anymore and I I would love to another chance to fly. But you know going back as a tourist would be fun. It's a lot different than going back as as a career astronaut. So I'd love to go I love to be with them but when when it really comes down to it I'm happy with what I'm doing now and glad the opportunity to go in the Times that I did. Great stuff as always from our own personal astronaut Mike Massey me now make sure to check it out Sunday. August. Second One PM Eastern ten. Am Pacific. Discovery Channel Science Channel. I don't understand why such a mean statement helps. I don't understand art. I'm going to do something kind of weird here. For an hour and a half in half the show's over. Great, stuff we've had. Five guests I don't talk some sports do I know? More bad news from. Major League baseball the. Division rivalry between two. Teams with sites on the postseason the cardinals and the brewers in Milwaukee. was going to open today. It has been postponed because there have been two positive tests within the Saint Louis Cardinals. Organization. That'll make the fifteenth game that has been pushed back just one week into the season. So they said that the cardinals will have a game tomorrow and then a doubleheader on Sunday. So. You know they put out a statement talking about additional testing contact tracing Blah Blah Blah on tack tracing. Saying, who did you? Who who were you around? Okay, and then who were you around and then where were you? And where did you go? Basically it. But. According to the athletic two pitchers of the cardinals have the test positive for the virus. and. So the team is self isolating hotel in Milwaukee. This was supposed to be the brewers home opener, but the home opener for the. PA announcer is clear who is maybe some members of the media. But it's just more worrisome news because the other one was the marlins and maybe a guy went to a club in Atlanta maybe he got some of the phillies. You know and Juan Soto's back. Looks like everything's. Just, over there. And it's easy to blame Florida. Well, this is the first time that MLB is dealing with anything that wasn't on the East Coast. Where were the cardinals last? Well, they played the twins. Okay where the twins well, the twins. Yesterday. A played Cleveland. and. So okay. Now we gotta go to them right. So regardless of what specifics emerge. This is just a huge concern. Is ever going to endure eighth day today, the major league season and already. A sizable percentage of the schedules have been impacted right now. So let you know Billy's. Seven Games lost marlins seven games. Yankees four orioles, four Lou Jas three nationals three, and then the cards brewers tonight now they're gonNA make those up I. Guess. But Sixty Games in sixty days. Is that. Is that what it is I guess. But it's also just a story of you wonder how long this is going to go now. Anthony Rizzo. been on the show. He did not play against the reds last night as originally planned. He was going to get a day off, but it didn't matter because the game. was postponed. Follow a rain delay. And it was torrential rain. And rain delays, themselves have apparently become covid nineteen related complications as well. Because remember the Marlins who have suffered the worst outbreak so far in all of sports, they complained about the inability to socially distance during a rain delay in Atlanta. Don Mattingly, the manager said, well, we had all these guys and nowhere to go. And we've got a zillion guys in the dugout. So there's no way we're socially distancing. So that quote I think was probably an anthony reserves head when he went on twitter last night. and He tweeted out during the rain delay. Quote player safety. Or CHAMARA MLB. Let's sit around for eight hours inside the Clubhouse Lips I'm sure. I. Can find that somewhere in the one hundred and thirteen page safety protocol. And then Rizzo follow up that tweet by sending a picture of the weather radar to the reds account asking, where do you see a window where we can play? Now you might say, well. Kinda known as a hothead well hot had or not he is a cancer survivor. And he takes hand sanitizer. The field. He's basically the only guy. I've seen the only person I know about. You take to the field. So probably every time he throws the ball, he hand sanitizers. Now, he does have a point. If you know about cove nineteen chances are. You believe it I can't right there higher when you're exposed for lengthy times to large crowds in an enclosed or poorly ventilated. Rooms. What they call intimate distance, which means you can reach out, reach out and touch them one. Thirty people and a big league clubhouse hours at a time. You say, well, aren't they masked. They're supposed to be what are you going to do i? Guess the only thing to do in a rain delay? is to go into your little hobby and just lean way back into it and put them ask on. Whether Rizzo's criticism is taken too hard begins to make obvious calls and what you're going to do and I guess. You'd say, well, what can have? I'll be do I know what MLB could do your an empty stadium. A stadium. Even. The Oakland Coliseum which is regarded as. The oldest and most antiquated there are club levels. There are luxury boxes. In two minutes flat. You could have each individual player in his own luxury box. From both teams and even if you only want it, let's say you wanted to to to a box and you stayed twenty feet apart you could do that too. It's not that complicated. It's just yeah I mean, listen I've done enough rain delay theater in my time doing eight seasons of as baseball. And especially doing the as 'cause like the giants John Miller praise for a rain delay because he holds court, he does comedy routines he does Vince Gully invitations. alikes the airtime and bless his heart. And I love Kenny Korac and Vince qatrani. Oh. By the way the as finally station. I. Wonder. If Dave cavs GONNA apologize to Roost Jenkins now for saying okay boomer. He says Oh, it's important to have one. Oh, now you say it's important. Okay. Nine Sixty am whatever that is but I'll take it. Like Just think about. how can you fix what we have well in the rain delays with the as they were like ready to go ahead rick. Left. We're talking baseball. How's it going great to have you with us and it's great to have the NBA back and maybe the NBA can pull this off. Maybe, the NBA can actually have season. and wasn't a hallucinates hallucination last night we actually saw for the first time in one hundred and forty one days. Games and not only games but exciting games both decided by two points that jazz be the hell's one, zero, six, one, zero, four in the beat the clips one. Oh, three, one. Oh, one and both games went down to the wire and the intensity was there. Despite the fact of no fans. In that arena. And the stars came out to shine Kawhi Leonard Paul. George. Anthony Davis is named say coming up in a half hour all scored twenty eight or more. Lebron's battling through kind of a rough scoring night clutch. On the fourth quarter. We also got a brief look at Zyban who was great and limited bursts he got. every quarter he started about three or four minutes he needs to get his conditioning backup member. He was going to be a game time decision. As expected. Even. Though. We hadn't had kneeling in the NBA there were it was kneeling on mass. That reports that players and coaches and both teams would do, and that's exactly happened with jasmine the Pelicans everyone can be on the court. In GIANBATTISTA rendition of the national anthem came out Gianbattista who's been on the show by the way when he other Christmas album, he's the guy. The state, human, orchestra, and the. Orchestra on the Stephen Colbert? Show. Lakers and clippers also locking arms taking a knee all wearing black lives matters t shirts. And even before the Games, there was a montage of NBA, players, the broadcast and an NBA TV. said to stand up for justice. The video had jalen Brown of Boston. That had Portland's Damian. Lillard. J. Riddick of new. Orleans, they were discussing the events of the. Last several months, but getting back to the floor. Lebron played hero twice as I said, he got off to a little bit of a slow start at least in terms of scoring. But he more than made up for it at the end first of all, you hit the. Game winning shot by following up on his own miss with just thirteen seconds left to play. But then he wasn't done because he had to guard quiet Leonard and Paul George. To get the final stop. And I know that Paul? George. Thought he had been fouled and was complaining, but you look at James finished with sixteen points and eleven rebounds seven assists. I've turnovers. The great ones when you need them. Do, they come up and get the job done most times they did in Lebron did now getting back to Utah. Rudy go bear who talked about how he has You know gotten threats from people. Remember he rubbed all the microphones with his hands saying Hawk zone virus and then it was he himself who had it and then Donovan Mitchell got it and then they shut down the NBA. Everyone's really go bare stupid Frenchman. They say Frenchman maybe through that end, but he did apologize for his cavalier attitude in the early days. And Got The first points little left over. Derrick favors. Those were the first points and the restart. Interestingly, enough Gobert go bear I should say Stephen Go bear. You hit the. Game winning free throws with six seconds left. And so he had the. Worst. Points and the final points of the first game since the restart finishing with fourteen twelve and three blocks. All the NBA also unveiled an interesting way to keep fans connected. The virtual fan. Video feeds talked about of dozens of home fans. But They're still. GonNa be some. Empty seats, but it's just this weird. Board. Look like stands. I don't know I'm not too concerned about that. But as I said, Zion, would he play? And what kind of chemistry is going to build up with Lonzo, ball? Who's better than you think he is. There was a perfect lob allieu that was the first on Chris I on. The restart. the aftermath was a little underwhelming because there was. Silence, and then the guy hit the button for artificial crowd noise. So. So does ion connection. Dunk. Then away. Oh Yeah. and. If you think Zaylon is just a dunker you haven't seen. His whole game he showcased his passing touch. You have this sweet behind the back assist Lonzo Ball. Lay up a little bit later in the game. There's really nothing the kid can't do. And I'll still be an odd. I've never seen a guy. Block? Three point. Shot in college. When he was in the paint. Basically took one step out of the paint jumped and blocked a three point shot. Starting in the paint. And remember his Nike's dissolved the guy is such a beast at his weight. I mean he jumps around like he's Spud Webb but he's bill you know like Barkley it's just it's crazy this guy's ability. UNI brow they said very good game the end of the first quarter he already had fourteen. The Lakers in scoring with thirty four and the highlight was this put back to hand dunk that woulda got the crowd going if there was a Dunk. But. I think there's kind of a warm welcome for dion waiters too because with Avery Bradley opting out and Dion waiters getting a crack filling some of those minutes. He looked very comfortable. He really did. and. Waiters did this. Spinning little layup and Got Javale McGee office. With the kind of believe what I just saw, which was Kinda. Cool. By he waiters finished eleven, points, rebounds assists. Twenty, one minutes and. Twenty, one minutes is a significant amount of time in an NBA game. Especially for a really good team. So After the game. He Mission Adam Silver who And he gets the best commissioner in all of sports. He was asked about these teams on mass. En Masse on mass kneeling for the national anthem. and. Anthem by the way did not include lyrics. At. first of all. The PELICANS release the. Statement. said the New Orleans Pelicans standby by the ideals of freedom of speech and the right to peacefully protest electorally with the Utah Jazz. Are Organizations joins the NBA and supporting our players and coaches? Promote meaningful chains relative to social justice racial equality. Neurons Pelicans a partner with our players staff and coaches to create a social justice leadership alliance committed. Furthering. The discussion, listening and learning and taking action to make positive change in our community and country. The Jazz. Without a similar statement. Last sentence of it was. Our Organization strives to be a unifying force in our communities, and we hope that this time in our history can be a catalyst for positive change in the country we love. The thing remember. UTAH IS NOT EXACTLY A. Blue. State. So I wonder. What they thought about it. I. Mean, the NBA technically has a rule on its. Books. That says you have to stand for the national anthem. It literally is a rule in the NBA. Adam silver said he will not and forest that rule he said I respect our teams. Unified Act of peaceful protests for Social Justice and under these unique circumstances. Will Not enforce our longstanding rule requiring standing during the playing of our national anthem. Which? The baseball game and the guy saved it and he was a hero. This is a different time you gotta read the Country Right now. And players around the league. Stepping up or I should say kneeling down to do this remember the. League allowed approved social justice messages on. The back of their jerseys. You can't say you can put whatever you WANNA back. I WANNA put dis, nuts and ut easy D Ez. Now, no, you can't buy what? and Ut's but even after the union. Agreed to restart the season. A lot of these players say that they're not done for more diversity remember Kyri who's Not playing. Anyway said, why should we start playing again to make our owners rich again? And a lot of the players said First of all, I need the cash. Second of all we. And use the cash to help with be Allama and other social justice. Issues. So. The players who ultimately did decide to finish the season. They did it with the idea that this stage would give them a chance to spread awareness on the issues that are important to them, which is, of course. First and foremost now black lives matter. and. This will understand. What they were talking about and by the Way Zion on the back of his Jersey it just said piece. was. Thought was kind of cool. You know to Get everybody to get. Together and to use the platform I think is better than just boycotting the league. You can't get a lot of things across right now. One other note from the NBA. Which I think is interesting Joel embiid. Key. Has a lot of potential metoo. We can get so much better than we are right now I don't see the point of overplaying with someone else. That's someone I'd love to be playing with for the rest of my career. and. Remember. A lot of people in. Philly. A lot of people around the League Silver Trading Simmons like why? Why would they trade simmons how that make any sense at all? You know and at the All star weekend in February. People were asking about the fact that so you guys can coexist. But from the time. Was I. Think it's because when you look at the last two years that we've been playing together, it was not a problem. This year, it's only a problem because our offense has struggled. And then Simmons was asked he said I love playing would joe. I. Think he's an amazing talent Joel. I've got a lot of respect for his game and I know that he feels the same way about me. So as long as we continue to strive and go the right way I, think we'll be. Fine. We've got got a lot of talent. It's kind of scary. Good. We can be. Yes there stars. Between them, they already have forty one games of playoff experience. They have five, all star Games together they are improving. Why would Philadelphia pull the plug on something like that? That would be done but I think a lot of people around the League hoping they would because they would like to get either one of those guys on their team. Trying to get an interview like I'm not. This is not just a little research. You know look at my profile picture I'm clearly not him. Always, like can you? Can you just look a little? Do I look like him at any certain way? No I don't, but I'll take what I can get. I I like the fact that you stick to your guns to I'm sure you've had people tell you why don't you go by Aj or Tony or something, and it's like, no, it's almost like office space I Michael, Bolton why should I change? He's the one who sucks. Right. Exactly. I was here I. He's younger than I am or is the saddest thing I've ever had to say publicly to people? Is that you know? I I know what look it will be older than the I'm only like two years older than him. So I claimed that name. Your from your in southern California but I can tell from your accent that you are a different type of southerner from where do you hail originally Anthony. From we'll place called Sanford North Carolina. What does the tar heel state like if you had to describe it to somebody out here in California? More trees better food. Up here in northern California, we do have we do have some trees though, what are the? What's the food do you like when I think of the South I think about those big old breakfasts and? Barbecues what am I? What am I missing? So for me honestly like I'm. I'm fat because I know how to Cook my mom taught me how to cook southern food all the time crisco Greece and all that. But I'm I'm used to waking up to see some places. Could play biscuits and gravy on top of that masks three ways done eggs, bacon, and sausage major some good hashbrowns on the side. That's what you're investing out here like in good fried chicken, I can't get get. Out here anywhere if people don't know how to cook it out here, I don't know what you're doing with it and they just don't know that fried chicken doesn't need to be in the grill or the Fryer for seventy five hours. I don't know if that's what you gotTa do out here but it's not right. What you're doing to chicken. It's terrible and I hope people come at me with this because I will defend to the to the team. I you know I I not GonNa fight you on that because it's true. It's like when I when I go to England and try to make Mexican food and now the signs I was there in October, it actually says California style Burritos and I'm like I don't even need to go in I already know it's not. Right. Here I feel like people say, Oh, this is authentic food. My I don't believe it is I. Don't think. So I'll tell you right now it's not. But you don't like I have things here I don't like either I mean. People tell me I should try that. They love in now out out here. I'm not a fan of it to be honest. which has gotten a lot more than I thought it would ever get. Well the thing about in and out, it's fine. But people act like it's a religion. It's like it's a good worker, but it's not it's not something that you build a shrine around. Thank you. That's what I exactly what I'm saying, what people these these for the first stars. That means that for trump not good it. You're saying the franchisor not okay. For the Burgers are amazing. The French fries should be amazing. It's a great restaurant I mean that's just cookie cutter restaurant or they're good goodbyes good burger did. Dot. COUPLE MORE QUESTIONS FOR COMEDIAN Anthony. I love your line. When you said I'm happily married, but she isn't. She. Like they've also, you're like, she says, it looked like. I was like the brand guy gave up she said that. Before I did a competition in I said on stage with me and all laugh in hurt me. So deep that I got bigger laughter jokes that she wrote and the ones that I wrote. And I, I do notice you say Fu to the crowd if they do laugh at your self deprecating jokes. Just. For me I'm from all is like you know it's. It's a term of endearment almost I'm sorry I forgot. Uproar that's from the Rosen's. They are the ones that go back to Richard Pryor. That's pretty cool to be in that list of Comedians they've selected It was it was shocking. You know when they said, let's be your records like sure. You guys her. Like. Okay. Like, when they wouldn't have found out, he did like five Richard Pryor's albums finally met him like I was I was. I was like. Okay. This would be great. I remember saying before one of our shows, she's the most stoke person. I've ever met David. Rosen I was like. I think we're going to have a good show tonight. 'cause you said it's true that your sister is or was a stripper. I have to reform made that joke to. She used to like I go onto like fervor. Standards Videos like. That will I just did a quick one but guess she used to be really good at it to like. She was she told me how much you made that I've gone to see other strippers, other comedy shows and I've told him how much this make their like I'm never made that much I'm like. That's horrible I hate to know that my sister was like MVP of stripping I. That's horrible thing to find out that she was great at it. No I the one thing you never wanna hear when your sisters surfers that she was so good it. She was like employee of the month like spongebob up there like every employee of the month, the Strip of. I can skip around the crusty crab. Right she's like you can see about this you stay every month. This is terrifying. Great stuff everybody make sure to check out Anthony Davis his new album eat around. Did you go to uproar comedy CD I come and check it out anthony when this all gets done. Agree, I questioned beer that wife and basically just to. Like have like a little bubble, but they don't have to be like super little. They could just play like an Harris Dona the West Western teams in the Florida for Houston. Teams just do that and don't worry about The other travel time and I think that'd be a lot less traveling have to do airplanes or anything like that is melody. POLLY beezer viruses because they keep going like this they may not have a he's my father. Too. Late. They can't play in. Arizona Florida, I mean they had their civility it's their Castilla. They have they have less than two months to get this done. They've already pushed back fifteen games for them to try to set up an entire bubble. They're just GONNA run out of time. It's it's good. I mean. Obviously that's what they should have done now it's too late. You they can't play. Florida, they say, the next game, the rest of the Games arrested seasons to be in Florida and Arizona. Why why is it too late they could I mean they can still going rogue but instead of going in drive their cars and go to the game I mean to me it makes a lot of the painting to me an airplane is way too dangerous. I mean I don't think it's late. They could just fly there and still continue with the schedule but just playing their facilities in Florida and Arizona in Arizona. I mean I don't think why it's too late to do that. You know it doesn't make sense because you can start that tomorrow. Like the as there's still have the schedule, they're on the road, but they played arezzo zone and they stay in Arizona the whole season. Does that makes more sense to do it that way and I mean. I mean it's I don't think it's too late I. Just think it's GonNa be too late continue down this road. Well when the NBA did it, they went through a two week process of making sure everybody was corona virus free. For they. Could. Start the bubble. If they were GONNA do that they'd have to use everybody down there and then go through a two week process to make sure everybody in the bubble is safe. So there's another two weeks gone. They're desperate desperate to not play any games November. If they did a bubble now they'd have to shorten the season to probably thirty games. No. They're planning Arizona and Florida. It's warm there. Who Cares? I mean, it's what any money I mean. It's one. It's it's not smell it in Arizona or Florida. November they could play November. Nothing. To do with weather no, I see what you're saying. Now they don't want to be on TV when the NFL'S ON TV they won't do it then and the networks won't do it. He's God, they're gonNA screw things up I, mean I. Just scratched my head and I understand but I guess me thinking I is nothing I was going to say about the school I can tell you the kids are not learning I mean my kids when they do the online stuff they do all their homework on a Friday two hours they go out and play ball game I mean that that's a week's worth of homework I. Mean it's not they get usually two three hours a night on a regular school night and it's like I don't know I. Don't think they're learning but I don't know if you can force them to go to school because virus. I don't know the answer I. Wish I. Did I mean if I did not answer? No, listen to me. Anyway it wouldn't matter but I I look at it I just think this is crazy. What's going on right now and I don't know the answer I really really wish. Me Now we apparently have the g strain, not the G. String, but the G. Strain, which is six times or something more. Contagious and apparently most people who have have that strain. So I'm with you it's stupid to start schools again. Yeah know but I'll they're not learning I. Think what? Realistically what's GonNa have to happen and then I then they're gonNA hate when I say this I just think if it goes more than six months just to repeat the year. I just think it'll have to you know everybody's GonNa have to start over again you know stay in the same grade they're in I just think it's It's GONNA be too far loss that they don't because they're not learning enough. It sounds good but I don't know if you if you don't put him in school which I don't think can. vinegars have P year and I hope to have this vaccine I. I'm sure you follow the same news I am and they have one Johnson Johnson another one in England nobody knows yet for your massively do the populations and then all with our. been going on lately also that doesn't work and we really be screwed I duNno, I hope it works but. Do, you think vaccine you're going to be our answer. We're. going. To, be screwed. Well. I. Mean I know that Dr FAO chief said that they've had tens of thousands of people already signed up to. Volunteer to be the test from what I heard from scientists of which I know nothing outside of high school chemistry is that. Basically two weeks into it in March, they had the formula, the math formula to how to stop the virus they just needed to. try it out. The thing is, is that when we start getting the orders, you wonder who will be getting it first and it will probably be people. In the military like especially on Navy ships, which is important. Then it would probably be rich people and athletes. Yes. I'm. We're all. Open a vaccine. What about old people in nursing homes when it first relationship ask? them to people like that. Yeah I hope so. Yeah I mean that would be I mean I I mean I I would put myself in the back of the line but even though I had cancer diabetes I, put the kids up front. I'd be like laugh I mean nobody's GonNa care about me. I mean I'm an old fart but I I gotta have the kids upfront. Yes. They can go back to school. You know that's just my opinion. If I'm an old guy voting, I've took the kids in front just because I need to learn I mean I be like you said military I agree with you there but I would do all the all the kids I. Think I think the older people wait. I mean. Maybe not nursing homes because they're so vulnerable but I'm just thinking guys like you h i. think we could wait when you had to get ahead of us. I mean the rich people okay. Well, of course, the kids are more important, but if if the kids aren't. As, much as brisk have to figure out. Exactly. What what you wanted to do their right I just wanted to get back to school. That's my. Kids they get back to school I mean 'cause older people like US could survive. We figure it out. We're you know. The kids in school toby you know if I if it's me, I was a dictator which you know get shots within twenty four hours I. Thought I had the kids I sports guys next. Just WanNa Watch my teams play. That's the way I can probably the military after that. But I took my sports ahead what I watch my age football on. And the teams I don't like the dodgers I'd give them lasts they'd be like the. I don't know I just I. You're right though they're making a hundred million. So that's pretty nice they they're not. They're making it before it's ready 'cause they're taking it against the government spending money on on vaccine even though it's not technically ready yet if a hundred million goes out, that's a lot of people I mean, that should be enough to get all the kids in the military. I mean in the Nursing Home I think he would get that just leave us guys now because I I'm not gonNA jump in any line until the children get I I mean I i. just don't want to block I got tested yet because I don't WanNa. Blocked Line you know other people I think more people are more important. I, guess when you hit a certain age, I just feel like I live my life I just I said I want the kids kids get. You're right about the military of ships some reasons. I mean I. Don't know. I'm just hoping to get us so I could. Wash my sports again and go back to normal life. I just can't stand this this nightmare, but we think the kids in school they think I'll have to repeat they. It goes year. Now, I think they're GONNA try they're not gonNA take the year off. They're going to try to just do the remote learning again and then I don't think they're going to make them do the whole school year again. Doesn't work I'm telling you. I mean you can get away with two months and then I was talking to go to summer school and we were all set to go but I it really doesn't work I mean and I mean I've talked to so many different parents that you know I see with the kids go and everybody says the same thing the kids aren't learning so. But I agree with you I don't think we can force them to go to school now because I don't WanNa. See My kid get sick and have a heart condition and all that stuff because. I. Miss a year of school then then have the kid get seriously sick. So I mean. It's funny when you I was GonNa say this the other day when when the kids are watching, you're watching football games to parents. You know what you're thinking about every fly don't get hurt that's lawyers. Every. Play. It's like it's like when you're watching a regular football game your not in there it's like you're go to the guy and do whatever you know when you're. Your thinking about every plate. It's funny. I don't think baseball. It's like we were playing football. It's like every play you're watching when somebody does go down you know they get back up or you know hope they back up that's just funny when you're van every parents the same way you can just see faith you know in. The plays of May your parents have a far different than if your student watching a game because I never felt that way what I'm just student. I hear you. I gotta run to a break. Thank you for that and welcome back to the show rick to the width. You lines are open, one, eight, hundred, eight, seven, eight play. I was just looking at the major league baseball schedule from the last couple of days. and. You see from Tuesday. MARLINS phillies postponed but the nationals at Miami postponed they didn't WANNA go. Next Day same thing Philadelphia Baltimore got postponed. Just. Goes all the way through. Today no Washington No. Toronto no Miami No. Philadelphia. No. MILWAUKEE NO SAINT LOUIS. You, know they're supposed to be a double header at Toronto with the nationals no. It's just It's playing havoc. Havoc with the schedule. And It's just You know as we know Kobe nineteen can come on in a couple of days but could carry a fourteen day give -ation. Period as well. And MLB. What out a press release That said that they've done six, thousand, four, hundred tests and that. Marlin the only team with positive tests but. You know since that time we've heard about Saint Louis heard about Philadelphia. And that the league said, their positive rate was zero point three percent. That's wrong now. Look at California, which is back down seven percent was eight percent the CD said. They want to get it at five percent. It's wrecking havoc. As we have seen so. Every day you just hope at least I do as a baseball fan that we can get this thing done. Now we've seen some pretty good baseball. We've seen some bad baseball. My team is three and three. So they're a very average right now. How's your team doing? Do they stink? Are they good but how about this? For Shane. Kid Out of Not, a Barbara believe? UC Santa Barbara. Twenty five year old starter. For Cleveland, we already knew he was good. Last night against the twins. Baseball history. What did he do? Well, he was excellent. We know the twins are a good team and be re threw eight shutout innings really hits no walks and struck out. Thirteen. Now on opening day. He had fourteen strikeouts. He has tied the record for most strikeouts in the first two starts of the season. Since nineteen o one he tiled Karl spooner. Is Nickname the fork. Back, in nineteen. Fifty, four, twenty, seven strikeouts. After that, Curt Schilling, note to twenty-six. Vince Velazquez Twenty sixteen with twenty, five and Nolan Ryan Nineteen. Seventy eight. Twenty Five So that outing also help Cleveland staff as a whole make history because they became the first team ever. have their starters strikeout ten plus batters. Four Times through seven starts. That's never happened. Ever, we kept thinking that the hitters would be ahead of the pitchers lunar not in Cleveland. So overall Bieber as far as zero point zero because he has four town fourteen shutout innings twenty two strikeouts. I should say twenty seven strikeouts. And one walk. That means his strikeout-to-walk ratio is twenty seven to one. Now, it's only to start but right now, this is your American League Cy Young Award winner. But the success from this guy and as I said I, think he was all star last year. That he commands his fastball, he knows where it's going and it's a it's a curve in most of these guys usually have sliders or split-fingers cutters. Curved, it's essentially the mastery of Pitch Location Sides paint left right, up down. and. Being able to put the fastball wherever he wants it. And he can set up the breaking stuff. Up Nine generated whiffs. So. He has co worst an empty swing on seventy percent. Of Swings. That's pretty amazing. On. Just. I said it right there. Justin Bieber. Of course. Mr Shane beaver. One Eight, hundred, eight, two. Sports this thing they're like we care both words to. But they put out their list of most valuable sports franchise. Is. In the world. And with this covid nineteen. In order to spread out estimated losses and The season but an upcoming one, not try to have friction that. had. But their union? Virtually. As seen team US rise faster over the last decade and the NBA though. Remember the clippers for two billion dollars clippers. The NFL still reigns supreme as far as having the majority of the. Top earning franchises and Ease. Some of these unmatched deals that these guys have. But you want. Jerry Billion Dollars. Billion Dollars. So the list goes like this and the top ten cowboys five and a half you England four point one. New York giants how `Bout this San Francisco Forty niners three and a half I'm just listening NFL. Bell teams now not everybody up the Rail Madrid's and the Yankees in the world. But the niners. Said Jed York. Majored in business at Notre Dame, he is a good businessman if you invest with him, he makes you jets at three. Point to just because they're New York Texans at three point one. That's a bit of a surprise to see them in the top ten. And then the eagles at three. Point Oh five. Now the raiders which were always near the because they are. GOING TO A. Billion Dollar Stadium, which is obviously part of it. But You know if you think about. The. If you'd like to get involved. So twenty seven of the NFL's thirty two teams it appear on the top fifty list three in the top ten, nine in. The top twenty. THE ONLY NFL teams not to rank. In the top fifty arve. Cody. Tennessee Tuxedo. Flea. Tuxedo by the way. The Washington. Team. Alex Smith. I talked about how horrifying is leg look like civil war. Exhumed corpse leg at infection as they cut away the flesh and all that. And he's trying to make a come. Back, he's had seventeen or camp on the. Active Publicis on that means physically unable to. Perform. And Ron Rivera. That's he will not rule him out of the competition as long. As he does one thing. That is. Becomes part of our equation. That's the truth of the matter. Well, we know how much? They have faith or lease. They've put a lot of eggs in the basket dwayne Haskins. At Ohio state he's a quarterback there. But. Smith thirty, six years old. was very effective for. The niners near the end for cabinet to go acted for the chiefs. and. If you look at. The last nine years he's done one, hundred, forty, two touchdowns and forty eight picks. That's not bad. And Rivera said. Quote, this will be appear competition the big thing more than any. So we can get a good evaluation of our quarterback. Ex while the leader in the clubhouse Twain hoskins obviously. Now. What did he do? He threw seven touchdowns and seven picks. They were a horrible team. They were last points per. Game where almost last in passing five point eight yards they were horrible. Now. Hi Allen was acquired by Washington to challenge asking him. For A E W. smackdown tonight, two title matches. More, we have got Bailey versus Nikki Cross for the smackdown women's title. We have a styles versus granite metallic for the Intercontinental. Title. I have a feeling that's going to be angled but I don't know that for sure and Naomi will be facing Lacey Evans and the way they're advertising it is the Mandy Rose Otis love story continues so they will be back. On the show tonight. Ratings for Wednesday. Only a couple of things of real note by the return of Live Sports, Major League Baseball. The total Wednesday night wrestling audience was up to one point four, eight, million viewers on Wednesday night one point five percent higher than the previous week. Dynamite seven, hundred, seventy, three, thousand viewers and an annexed T. seven, hundred and seven thousand viewers eighteen to forty, nine, Awa number six and I believe in Exte- was I think twenty eighth. On cable. So all of that is is roughly the same all of the demos roughly the same as always one every demo except over fifty, and in fact, one of the main reasons that annex t was up. was a huge gain in over fifty which was kind of interesting actually because they W, they had a drop in older viewers and the presumption was that the drop in older viewers were viewers the decided that they were going to watch baseball. But for an x t, they had those older viewers. So it's it's interesting that it appears at least to a degree that the difference between the ED exte- and the a w audience is that the next audience is largely older W., e. fans and they're gonNA. Watch me I mean, we've seen this happen with things other than sports who've seen this happen with debate. Sam National News Stories. That hurts the w audience more than the annex t audience w audience audience seems to be there in a sports more so than the Annex T. so there's if they're sports competition like baseball, which attracts an older audience awa loses at audience but for whatever reason and exte- is not they're older audience grows. So the thing that was different this week. Is One point four eight zero million viewers the combined number four Awa annex t beat. The third hour of raw. More wrestling fans watched a w an annex. T live been watched the third hour of rob. If you combine the W in annex t eighteen, forty, nine number, it is zero point, four eight which beat raw the overall three hour raw. That today's zero point seven in eighteen to forty nine as noted by Dave or maybe Paul Fontaine those numbers would have been unthinkable just a few years ago. So the story now which I mentioned last night in the Brian issue, which is kind of interesting as aws W. T. are battling each other. They're going head to head but at the same time, the two promotions are basically teaming up. To slowly take over the viewership of Ron smackdown. So it's very, very interesting, more people watched. Aws inex- t live been watched that third hour of raw and the way that Ross going in the last three weeks, they've set all time low records a few times now just in the past three weeks. So it is very possible that once especially come September football season etc I mean it's possible that Wednesday might regularly be beating the viewership for raw on Monday and smackdown on Friday in certain demos. And in total viewers in some in some cases. So there you go. That's that's the interesting a numbers coming out of Wednesday. So also we had the wwe earnings report. We talked about this a little bit yesterday. And here's just here's the general information and I'll talk more about it. W Be released their twenty twenty quarter two numbers which showed a year over year decrease but a record year to date revenue record. Bullied by their TV contracts and some big savings with not running live shows. So before I get into specifics here this is the gist of it everybody. In nineteen hit. and W E was forced to cancel Wrestlemainia and they stopped running all of their house shows which had already started to do and they stopped running raw and smackdown live. Now, they run in the performance center and they take these shows and they go on the airwaves. Okay. Now. Also W we furloughed we don't even know the number, but it could have been as many as a hundred people. From all different divisions in WB they got rid of wrestlers. Of agents. One of them to our benefit because Lance storm returned. So. When this happened. You know we noted in you know there are people defending this on other publicly traded company I got. The only wrestling company. To Furlough, fire cut anybody. Ring of honor hasn't done a thing. They haven't gotten rid of anybody impact wrestling hasn't gotten rid of anybody. A W hasn't gotten rid of anybody new Japan. I can go on and on all of these different wrestling promotions, they took care of all of their employees during the pandemic or they're independent contractors. WWe In the middle of this pandemic. Oh, they lay the axe town cut cut cut cut them on the show today. Luke gallows cut Carl Anderson. Cut. Cut Cut cut cut cut. Cut All of these people during the pandemic. But because there was a pandemic. Because they were no longer renting out arenas because they were no longer doing satellite up links because they were no longer doing all of that. They ended up making fifty million dollars as a result of all of these savings. The amount of money In think like per quarter. Every single person that they cut. They save four million dollars per quarter. So. And by the way, this didn't even count in this quarter. This'll be in the next quarter. So they act four million dollars in talent costs. During a pandemic. At a time that because of the pandemic, they ended up making an extra fifty million dollars because of savings as a result of what happened with the pandemic. Actual numbers here. Operating income last year for the quarter. This last year operating income was seventeen point one million dollars. This year because of running shows at the performance center, the operating income. Increased to fifty five point seven, million dollars. Net income. Revenues for quarter to decreased a little bit. But I mean what really happened they're making so much more money off these television deals and these television deals are going to continue to escalate. So it was their most profitable quarter of all time ever. Because they were no longer running shows live in different buildings all around the country and I guess partially because they cut it but. Actually, it wasn't because that's that's next court anyway more on this after the break observer lives. Hey travelers. Do you want to save money on your next flight? You're listening to wrestling observer live with Bryan Alvarez and Mike Semper Vivey on the sports byline broadcasting network. In, the show Right Elber is here wrestling, observer alive, couple of other notes here. We'll talk about some of the good news for me but I'm I'm hung up on one thing here and that is that. Think about this facts. Merely by not running live raw and smackdown chose and. Merely by not running them. By instead running the shows in the performance center and taping them. They because of that change, the amount of money basically generated. Meaning it wasn't paid out and so you know they. Got, to display that money in in profits here, they could have paid for every single person that they cut for four years. One quarter. The sin even counting what they're gonNA. Make. Next quarter. and. A quarter after that and a quarter after that at a quarter after. This one quarter. The money they saved by not going live and renting out bills and everything that they could have paid for every single person. They cut for four years. And I don't want to downplay all of the wrestlers got fired obviously disaffected everybody but. When you when you focus on the wrestler's they got cut in furloughed or even the agents. You're ignoring all of the people that you never heard about the got furloughed. That did little things here and there for all of the live events who weren't making. Anything near what these wrestlers are. These agents were making. They weren't I don't want to say they were making nothing. But when you think about, you know, for example, how much gallows and Anderson there they're the new deals that they sign when you think about what they were making I mean. These people were making nothing. That would have been fired and furloughed them whatever in the middle of pandemic at time were they saved enough money one quarter to pay all of them for four years in one quarter, we still have next quarter in the quarter after and. I mean, next year, those those television rights fees, they go up I higher, they're escalating heels. So anyway. Good news for wwe. I mean to me is being bullied by a couple of things. One of them obviously television deals. He's television deals. I mean they are rich. At least twenty twenty four, now the important year is going to be twenty, twenty two when they start negotiating new deals, will they be able to get as good or better for the television deals? And Twenty twenty four, we don't know now every single time, there's a negotiation period. Everybody expects that the decline is such television ratings at for sure they're gonNA, make the same or less, and they always make more. Okay. Maybe that'll continue on forever. But we do know one thing. And that is that they're television deals in the UK in fact. They lost. Several television deals and at least one of those television deals ended up going to aid w because telling me wanted way more money than it was felt that they were worth. They W was offering their product for. A cheaper price and They were taking up on the offer so they have lost television deals. In the UK because they were doing as well as whatever they were paid to do. Okay. smackdown one hundred thousand percent is not performing the way that Fox wanted it to perform. Annex T annex t everybody talks about all Roz doing so much better than the USA average everything like that, which is true. But guess what Annex T is at the station average. So, if they've got like a really old audience which they do. And the ad rates for that show are significantly less than the ad rate for another show that's doing the same number I mean annex t could. They'll report this is a fact, but it could be on the chopping block. So I think raw is definitely safe for twenty, twenty four but annex t is is going to be roll the dice I believe and smackdown probably as well. The good thing for smackdown is. You. Know smackdown his way below the Fox Friday night average. When live shows when newt new programming is airing but during reruns season, it actually does better than the rerun shows were doing a year prior. So smackdown you at least get a consistent number over fifty two weeks. So it is possible that they will be safe but I guess we'll have to wait and see. So television deals are number one. Also. And I don't want to say I told you so. But you know what else did really well. The wwe network. Now. There's a few reasons why W network was up I believe for the first time in a couple of years. And You know one of the reasons obviously is there's a pandemic. And if you are a person that used to go to your buddy's house to watch pay per views and now your buddy wants social distance I mean if your buddy used to have six people over well, maybe not all six but maybe one of those people they just got the w network on their own. So part of this was probably that that the pandemic caused pay-per-view parties to die, and some of those people would go into someone else's house while they just bought the network on there, but you know what change they made. That ended up with the W. we network doing the best. It's done in years now. They got rid of the free month. I talked about this forever. Always offering that free month the free trial. And like every single one of you listening to this knows what happened. Everybody signed up with a new email address. They got the new free month they would offer three months. You would get your three free months then you would cancel and they would send you another link for three more free months or whatever, or you got a new me email address the yeah I mean there were people that were doing the free month gimmick. Forever. and. We pointed this out over and over again how easy this was and further years they kept that free month gimmick. And finally they got rid of it axed it. There is no more free month and Lo and behold some of those people paid. Now it's not like the WB network numbers doubled I mean they they didn't double but you know this is a period where to look at some of these pay per views. I mean. Even. The hardest of the Hardcore Debbie fans I mean. Are you going to sit here with a straight face and tell me that the pay-per-view offerings by WWe have been better since Wrestlemainia the They've ever been since the network launched in two, thousand, fourteen of course not. But. Because there's a pandemic because a lot of people aren't going to their friends houses anymore and because you can no longer get a free month at all they have seen an increase in subscribers. So we've basically got the television rights fees. We've got the WB network being up and another thing they they basically doubled their merch numbers. Because they're selling a bunch of brand new championship belts. So at appears to be the the big change in in merchandise fans loved their belts and they've got all sorts of new belts out. They've got some signature series belts like you can get. You know the cheap versions for like anywhere from I don't know you know three, hundred, four, hundred dollars if they're on sale to their signature version of real leather and cubic zirconiums. Diamonds or whatever. For like two thousand dollars. They're selling a lot of belts. Fans. WanNa feel like champions during this pandemic. Now the bad news. WWe. And this could all be really bad news in two years when it's time to get a new television deal. These Ron smackdown ratings are awful. And I don't have the chart in front of me I. Think it's. You could find it. So these numbers are not exact. So don't get mad at me, but this is this is. You know generally here. So they had this this It is chart. And It had the decline of RAW. Which twenty three, point, five, percent, or something like that. These RAV top my head could be upper down a little bit but I mean, it's just the general that the gist of the story is more than the actual number. So, only twenty three, point, five percent. And then right next to it is. USA Network. Which? I forget the number of it was down like twenty, two point, five percent. So Then they've got. smackdown numbers and. As a whole and everything like that. So what they were trying to do with this chart was was show you that Oh, well, Rah is down. But it's not I mean it's you know it's a big deal obviously but all of all of USA network is down as a whole. So it's not as bad as it seems were down twenty three point five percent because USAA is down twenty, two point five percent. Well. This is profoundly misleading. because. When they say that Roz down twenty, three point five percent. And USA is down twenty, two point, five percent or whatever. The USA network decline include that massive rod decline. So, for a fair comparison, you have to do what is the raw decline. Compared to what is the USA network decline without raw eggs obviously of Roz down twenty three point, five percent than the USA network is going to be down considerably as well. So taking out raw. How much is USA network declined. We'll say five percent. So the reality is raw has declined like Four Times as badly as a USA network as a whole has declined. And as far as what everybody likes to say, Oh, well, you know these kids aren't watching cable anymore cables also way down Blah Blah. Cable this quarter was only down like one percent year-over-year. and. One of the reasons that cable was down year over year was because there's no sports for everybody to watch. So the fact of the matter is in the middle of this pandemic if sports would have still been running cable would have been up year over year. At the same time that arise down at twenty three point five percent. Is. Collapsing. As. His smackdown way more than USA network and way more than cable as a whole. Enjoy the insanity is the tagline we had Karl on here we had rocky. I hear that sex Ferguson is going to be in the main event of the show. What can you tell us about talking shop a mania? Talking shop many of the worst to pay per view ever opened and being wrestling's greatest Perte 'cause like you said, ninety m eastern tomorrow night available on paper view via the fight at. But also all American and Canadian pay per view providers dish in demand Att Uber's horizon just look it up go to the pay per view section scroll down with your TV remote click by it's only fourteen ninety nine we have all kinds of things in store for you. This is not going to be five star wrestling matches no no no this is wrestling with a wake. Wrestling, is supposed to be fun where do just that you're going to see some of your favorite characters, all throughout professional wrestling from different genres from different generations all coming together to jump on the laugh have a good time with us. You know you look around the world right now we have a worldwide pandemic going under social unrest across this country so. As entertainers as professional wrestlers we wanted to give you something that we love and be able to lap along with us, and that's exactly what you get talking shop from a social distancing battle royal to a briefcase in a tree match who the heck knows, what that could end up being we have a tribute to the nineteen nineties the three of us. Grew up knowing and loving and many many more action pack things. But it all culminates with Boehner Yard batch where Chad too bad sex Ferguson tag team partners for thirty five years going their separate ways, and now they have the opportunity to settle the score in a Boehner Yard one of these two combatants will be buried alive tomorrow night on pay per. View do not this talk in shock of the holy smokes you know when Carl's on the show the other day said that he got the call about being cut from wwe and he said he didn't talk to you for like an hour and then an hour later you called and you had like a dozen bookings is that basically how this went down? Yeah I'm not a rear view mirror guy getting cut by WWe wasn't. I. Get I. Did it. It's professional wrestling and You know we already did all that there's no reason to meet a dead horse with it. But you know we're professional wrestlers by trade we supposed to do at our tire dot lives never had real jobs never want them and I thought, Hey, here's an opportunity to take those handcuffs off he more creative than we've ever been show layers of our personality to the entire world and you know it all tied in create. and. Talking, shop the mania and then leading into signing with impact because now have all this creative liberty and we have a brand wants us to wear two hats and they're willing to co promote all these crazy ideas that are coming out of our heads. So I'm about as happy as I've ever been in this business right now I can honestly say that and like I said at the beginning, it's just a very exciting time I think for all three of us and In the world that we're in right now, it's going to be an exciting night for wrestling tomorrow night especially the serious wrestling fan. So. Here's a here's a question for you. So you you get the call that you're no longer with me and obviously there's there's impact out there which you guys ended up signing with and there's new Japan and eight W and ring of on all these different. Who is the first person that you called after you released as far as like, Hey, we're free. I thought we needed to get out of the country and I carl to relax. So I, I made a call to promoter book to sustain thought the world would be open by now we would be heading over there enjoying the Spanish see and doing some wrestling and signing and making some brother cash. That's what we do in bed That was all I got the call hung up. I did that and then I got out of my son and I started writing talking shop of media because that's just how my brain works. Why did your brain work in that way? I mean have you had an idea of doing something like this like it was always kind of like a off. I'm never not with me I mean, this is the first thing I'm GonNa do or did you go in the sauna and you're just thinking about you know impact or whatever, and this came to you. Know I mean you know I have a creative brain that a Lotta? People haven't seen how weird it could be I was thinking about the irony of the fact that eleven days earlier, we participated in the Betas and of the first night of Wrestlemainia in a bone yard match with the undertaker Aj styles to the greatest performers ever raced can argue that fact, and here we are with this crazy podcast and the state sense of humor. If Lino spoofs this, we're doing ourselves a disservice that we're doing our portion of the audience that this service. So it's time to make a parody. You know Carlisle often say our favorite movies have kids with a hotshots movies. That's so and they were great parodies of of great movies and that's what we wanted to create and This is all done for fun. It's done with a wink. It's not done to poke fun at anybody and you know some traditionalist might not be in love with the idea of it but you know what? If it's not your cup of tea you? Don't have to watch but I think if you give it a chance if you watch that voter yard match, you see all these cameos see the inside humor I think you're gonNA laugh right along with us get a big kick out of it and I think you'll get it and when I say that that means that you just might by talking shop of Ania to. Well actually. Carlo Carlin said that his his great fear that it would do so well, there would have to be another one. Well I got the projections today. So he's in big trouble. Oh. Man. Oh, man now. I I. Guess I guess the question is you noted is not like a wrestling pay per view and I told him the same thing like I know you want this to be the worst pay per view of all time but it will never be worse than the heroes of wrestling, which was a pay per view in the nineties which absolutely. Oh my God I don't think he even knew what it was I don't think he ever saw. But if you side he yeah, he's not as much of a historian as I am I know exactly what you're talking about. For All the wrong reasons then that's why why GonNa love talking shop a mania so There's just like there's stuff that will will fall into line with that. Even that was being presented as a serious paper view that you know. That we could go over the problems that whole nother interview pay iron sheik and Nikolai Volkov were versus the bush-whackers was at the time and it's still may be if I watch again the worst match I've ever seen in my entire life. It was so bad. I think. I might have to find that out youtube tonight. Yeah. I mean that's one. Years. In the nineties you know there were so many good workers in the nineties it came from the territories that when you saw match that bad, it hit you like a ton of bricks but then you know as you move into the two thousand I, mean there was a lot of bad wrestling in the two thousands in the two thousand ten's so I'm not even sure going back. It actually would be that bad I mean maybe it's been eclipsed by some of the stuff that we've seen. Well it's fun to go back and look at because there are things that you forget about how bad they were for me. When I was growing up I didn't realize they were as bad as it were at the time and I think that that's kind of that's kind of wildest spotting though the social distancing battle. If. You don't get what's going on in the ring listen to us on commentary and how hardware legitimately laughing because no matter what you tell somebody when you send them out there it's on them. You can't. You can't control what happens after that and even though a lot of this was shot cinematic Made me full mishaps and that's that's what I love about it. You know since you mentioned that I grew up watching like a late eighty s early ninety s wf. That was like my first. You know probably eighty, seven, eighty, eight I started watching. wfan. There are a lot of things I remember where like I remember Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels being awesome and I remember that I like the ultimate warrior but he kind kinda sucked in the ring but looking back today he was. Go ahead. No I was just GONNA say Kinda sucked in the ring but so cool. Can I mean that's what we all fell in. Love with your first place. One of these guys looked like and I had to go back when I was an adult and got the business go oh, he wasn't okay. All right I get this I understand why he was on there. But. There were. There were other things that I go back and look at now and and you know a guy like earthquake when I was a Keady was just like is this is a big fat guy squishing Cogan. You know you. You watch him years later and it's like this. John Tent could fucking or could work this guy was great. Yes, he absolutely couldn't I. There's a ton of guys like that. We get looked over because you know that that cartoon era, the early nineteen, ninety kind saddled with those characters and stuff like you see that with I was thinking about that long ago I look at. Over in ring. You know and I I was like, oh, he's one of the Quebecers I don't like them, and that's stupid and all these years. Later you look at them or you go back and look at some of those matches and like the gimmicky the do they send him to have a singles match with Bret, Hart having damned back. So that was a great worker and still lives if fifty years old I was watching some old superstars and in the mount, he was on there and oh my God, he's so great I didn't I didn't realize when I was a kid. That's IRS is another Mike Rotunda I had this conversation with Jericho they were sitting on the beach having some drinks. We were just talking about I love talking about old wwe because I never realized I'm good with tunnels tomorrow, the Saturday morning tapings, and like you just get sent up the rings calling on these trade-in spots in just working off and like tuneless phenomenal. He just doesn't get the credit for it because you almost. Forget that part of it. So. As far as like the future now, obviously, you've you've got impact and the motor city machineguns just one tag team titles. So that sounds like an awesome. Yeah but. You know you. Go back to the second but my point was like you've been in. For a long time. So now looking forward I mean talk about the machine guns and who else are you guys like excited to get a chance to get in there with? Man, I I, mean the motor city machineguns I think. So Dream tag match for us being being a highly ranked team but them as well and especially an impact where like I mean those guys are legend. Now when you look at the years, they put in what they did for that tag division and to have them back together while they're still in their prime and can still really go. We can't I think that's a great one. I've been very impressed by the north. You know I was watching impact while in wwe and I didn't know those guys are get to meet them until I went to impact but highly impressed with them. And then you step outside of the tag team stuff I think there's a big opportunity for Carlin is to show different layers of ourselves and singles competitors to like I would love to see Eddie Edwards, and Karl Anderson, I'd love to see handcuffs off Eric young and Carl. Anderson, I would love to turn up the brutality and show some things. I've never done on American television with some of these these big monsters that are over there as well. I think that there's great great opportunity right now to create even more buzz than to have some great exciting hard hitting professional wrestling and that's what. Know. That's what we've been missing these last few years. It's nice to collect that that big paycheck and all that. But I mean you signed it sweet deal. You go somewhere where you have some say so and what's going on and you get the start create again and do what you really love and that's in a professional wrestler. Limerick question here three head to a break. But I look at the lineup of everybody that's on the show tomorrow talk shop a media I. Guess you know as has been mentioned the last couple of days Scotty Riggs couldn't make it but he was he was going to be there. was there anybody who menu wanted this person on talking shop of mania but for whatever reason it just it's work Yeah, and and there's there's it's a two part answer and I won't be too long with. US. I intentionally hoped it would do well and save some people really wanted because I. Wonder if there's a sequel like we can't try to get everybody on this one, I really wanted Raven and we're back and forth on it and Scotty recently had a few health blemishes. So he was like you know I don't think it's responsible for me to come down there in this pandemic, and even with the we had social distancing parameters all that stuff and my wife's a registered nurse checking everybody in temperatures the whole nine yards. So I said, yes. Great. Obviously don't do it and ensure talking-shop main form. We were going to go to his house from come segment and actually hold that thought we're right at break I'll be back in a moment observer live. Burn.
