You gotta do more talking than that. Well it started with a hunch and the hunter started when you told me you found the door of any killings apartment locked when you went there that he was supposed to have died. Yeah i know locked with a key. You mentioned that but that was the important part if it had been a door with a lock or a spring. Latch that snaps. When you pull it shut. It wouldn't have been anything still doesn't as far as i'm concerned i look. There was evidence that had been a fight in an apartment at night. We assume that somebody had knocked unconscious or killed him there in the apartment then taken his body onto his car. Driven it onto the varies headland and set fire to right then at the time that somebody left the apartment. The heat was on at a body on their hands. Maybe someone and heard the fight. Call the police. They had to get out fan as sure but under those circumstances. Can you imagine anybody taking the time to go through these pockets to find his door key and bothering stop and locked the door behind them. It's a logical except for one person. Eddie himself what him it would be. Just a matter of habit locking the door as usual when he left home. All right jenny. I see your point than how do you call a play that night. When i imagine you guys have been discussing this pretty extensively for the last week or so but up to thirty four thousand right now. I think its scraped thirty. Four thousand five hundred today and people just got stimulus checks. I hope they're smart enough to use that to purchase bitcoin. But time will tell you suggested that the last time and if anyone followed your suggestion now we don't give financial advice but We will talk about the things we might do. That proved to be a good suggestion. What are double almost tripled since then. Yeah 'cause it was like seven or eight thousand then oh no way more than tripled. Hasn't it Yeah was it that cheap. It was on the downside. Yeah i know it's been a while it really used to seven thousand dollars. Bitcoin is dead. Can change a short time with bitcoin. Clearly it can because it went from the record high of twenty thousand two. I mean it's just continually setting new records almost every day. Yeah almost but five twenty thousand thirty five thousand in like two weeks is absolutely insane in other things that are insane. The governor's house recently had a candlelight vigil at it. Yeah last monday yes and the police showed up in force with batons and all kinds of crap. I mean they were ready for a fight. They weren't and we now have here with us. I didn't actually get his name. That's okay. I'm not really sure what we should call him either. Is it schuyler. Is it savage. Welcome to the show. You can call me either. Yeah yeah ben. Lots of people like to call me savage. Yeah i was. I was the guy. You're the guy that got arrested. After you received a ticket for the the claim of picketing so i mean just to bring our listeners up to speed in case they haven't seen any of the video and there's a bunch of video that came out of this. That's a good problem to have right where you had a lot of activists with a lot of video cameras. I had vincent a former co host of ours. Do some editing. And he'd grab some some some of your footage Schuyler in two or three other people and cobbled together a twenty minute long video to kind of give people an overview of this. You can see that over at the free keen youtube channel. If you haven't seen this but basically you guys rolled up at the governor's house at like seven. Seven o'clock or something like that on monday evening and there were what at least a dozen to twenty state troopers that were already waiting for you there. Yeah so. I like anything that i say can be backed up. You can so have a youtube page savage truth six. Oh three and i put the unedited footage of the entire The entire event start to finish from the moment. We showed up until he got arrested. up there for everybody to see because there's nothing there for me to hide. But you know. I i definitely feel like the town in state. Police have some things before we go on. I just want to remind you you are on actual broadcast radio tonight. So against fcc friendly. I realized things can get get heated when you think about. You know what the cops have done and you know the things that i've been so i had my my kids yelling at me for the past like two hours about my language. I'm not gonna lie if i if i speak slowly. Or if there's like weird pauses. It's because i'm i'm i'm trying desperately to censor my myself. I appreciate it so let let's before we get into all of the what went on monday night. Let's go back a little further. What was it that inspired you to go to this event in the first place. Because i've been to a few of these protests at the governor's house. I wasn't the one that you were The the candlelight vigil i was here Doing work whatever but I've been to at least three of them. Prior to that. And i hadn't seen you there. So what was it that brought you out this time. So i guess just to give very brief background of why the protests are happening in like. I don't want to speak for the the organizers of the groups are we're all under the same understanding i think for the most part There's been several violations to the constitution This the governor has been conducting secret meetings at the national guard facility in pembroke with The ag and certain other members of the legislature and denying access to the public So they've removed all forms of redress that we have by by way of the constitution. We can't it doesn't make sense for us to pick it or demonstrate outside the state house when the state house is closed in the governor's race from his big white house on the hill right. So that was what started. The the demonstrations at his house was the mask. Mandate that really triggered because there was a lot of talk this year There were as you may know. There were the reopen new hampshire protests. That happen the at the state house back in april and may and you know earlier around that time and then throughout the summer there was some discussion about well. Why don't we go to the governor's house and some people say. Oh we don't wanna go there yet or his family etc etcetera and it never ended up. Really you know materializing until finally he came out with this mask. Mandate of course just a couple of weeks. After he said he wasn't going to do a mask. Mandate typically yeah and he comes out with this mask mandate and now you know that there are a bunch of exemptions. Most people don't realize that they don't ever read these things so they just go with what they hear on the media so they believe that. There's this iron clad mask mandate in there might as well be as i what people believe. So that's what sparked the protests and then of course things just keep getting worse with him. Passing another governor's emergency order. That as i understand it completely removed religious subject object. Excuse me religious exemptions from receiving vaccines which as though we're sort of paving the way for force vaccinations even though they didn't actually say they were going to force vaccinate yet. They seem to be preparing for that. So i'm not a legal expert but my reading of suggested it only applied to healthcare workers Okay that's where it's going to start and it'll be you know. Then they're going to say you can't put your kids in school without having them vaccinated and they're going to say you can't. You can't where i mean. They've already talked about. Not letting you have a passport. Then you won't be able to fly at all then you won't be able to use mass transportation and then once they push us into a digital currency. They'll just they'll show your bank accounts off if you don't do what they say they've been shut down for for years like i just went off on a little bit of a like a you know the deep end a little bit there but like this is stuff that i have been paying very close attention to for over ear and he said been calling all this stuff. It's crazy like where things are going. And how fast they're getting their. We've seen china doing it with their social credit system now they have a digital currency and they can. If you're social credit is too low they can just shut slightly cut you out of the financial system yes so i posted a video on my youtube channel like a year ago and it was like one of the first videos i ever posted. And i just kinda edited some stuff together with like this. Free this free like soundtrack that got off soundcloud and it shows like all of the cameras everywhere and how they log people's faces everywhere they go and they're paying they go to stores in. They're paying with their faces and like the kids in school. They're like analyzing their faces when they're like doing schoolwork and it's like it's terrifying it's terrifying. It's creepy their cameras everywhere. It's even worse than the united kingdom but here it's bad or at least a lot of them are supposedly private security cameras so you go to a gas station or something. It's easy to look at something that's new and she'd be like what's that i'm too busy. I don't have to like we can talk currencies on a whole 'nother thing because that's like i have my own opinions about currencies in general so so by the way for our listeners just tuning in we've got a special guest here with schuyler bennett aka savage. He hosts a youtube channel called savage truth six. Oh three and we were getting into what happened to you last week. We actually had one of the other guys that was there with you. Build a minute ago one. The the older gentleman that was present He was just outraged at what was going on with these A phalanx of state troopers. That was on the scene. At the governor's house in new fields new hampshire for a. What was a candlelight vigil. I mean it's one of the least offensive things that a group of people can do in sort of a protest right like there's chanting that's pretty offensive. You know it's loud. It's obnoxious or whatever but candlelight vigils are peaceful. They're quiet they're nice like i don't know that chanting is any worse than a candlelight vigil noisy right like chanting his harsh it can be angry. Candlelight vigils are always very you know caring sorts of events and but yet they decided they were going to target this event with their new Their precious new ordinance that the town had written just what a wait a week before days beforehand finished this ordinance to ban so called picketing which of course on its own is constitutionally suspect and probably highly violation of the constitution. But even if you were to say oh picketing bad to call candlelight. Vigil ing. A picketing event is pretty ridiculous. I mean these cops were ridiculous from top to bottom as you learn. You were just telling us what happened when you arrived on the scene. The beginning of this thing so Yet so we arrived. We showed up and we were immediately greeted by five or six state troopers On foot there was. I believe for five state trooper for cars in sooners driveway. And then so like. Of course you know kingston new. He lives on this giant giant. Cul de sac. Okay in his house is up on a hill like probably two three hundred feet from the edge of the road and then there's the road and then there's a grass culture sack in the middle of that has to be at least a half acre of grass. It's it's huge okay. So we're they've normally set up for protests Before was in that grass area. What we actually wanted to have our vigil on the opposite side of the call tax. So we're talking five six five six hundred feet from the edge of his property not even from his house so you are pretty good distance from his knees and hips not. It's not like anybody was like you know blocked his driveway or like banging on his windows. Like it's not it's just people have just a inflated idea of how like aggressive in like in his family's face it was. Have you seen the little crybaby wining on twitter. Oh he was yeah. He did a radio show today in. Somebody sent it to me and it's like so we can like i'm gonna continue into the story in again. You can see it all on you two gentlemen. There was never a point where anybody was in his backyard by any stretch of the imagination that he claimed that in the on the radio. Today patently false. He claimed that and so he. So here's like yes. Yes he did. He claimed that and very explicitly made it clear that it was me who was the person in his backyard. really yeah. Because i was the only one rested. I was the only armed individual. Well now you may not have been the only armed individual. You're the only one arrested. That's true yeah okay. This is new but nobody nobody but nobody was open carrying. But like because i got arrested. They searched me. And you know So okay so we pulled up and they approached us and immediately were very like you know you can't be here. You can't do this and you know we always and well-spoken individuals. It's not really hard for us to to push back on just this this like basic. You can't be here. you can't do this. Well we have rights you know and that's kind of where you know in you know we weren't Aggressive or you know trying to fight with the cops at all you know. I kept saying them. I know you guys are just trying to do jobs as an anti police thing like we're here because we have no other forms of redress with governor. Because he's hiding in his house. These conducting secret meetings with the ag at a national guard facility in in banning the public from these meetings. I don't even think he's hiding in his house anymore. From what i understand he had been present for the past few protests. Yeah he seems to have maybe a second house or maybe he's at his resort that he owns. I think he owns like a whole ski mountain or something like that. So who knows where he's hiding but he's not hiding there. The house was pitch black when we were there. I guarantee there was nobody home. We we announced openly that we were gonna have our candlelight vigil there and I'm quite sure that he planned to not be there bright. He used plenty of state resources to make sure that the police could bully us and and it seems insane to me the he had state out there enforcing a local town. Ordinance he did. That's a really interesting point. And i'm i'm gonna get to that in in both later in the story because it's a really it's a really crucial point of the story so they told us we couldn't quote unquote it. We pressed them to define what picketing and who said you know. We're here for a candlelight vigil. We're not here to ticket. Ticket in picketing involves signs blocking entrances disrupt disrupting things. We weren't there to do that. Hold that we're going to get further into this rabbit hole. How does holding a candle. At a candlelight vigil possibly constitute ticketing and the town didn't define picketing in the ordinance. No of course not play that we know when we see this is free. Talk live. Stay for out. There that's by the way that's the name of the band in case you did not know rebel inc good stock trigger. He's wearing a metal shirt. Oh yeah surprised. Metalhead till i die bro. Y'all could tell by the by the beard for sure so with you tonight. It's ian and we're joined by schuyler who is telling us about the protest. Protest the candlelight vigil that occurred the week before last thing is it didn't even occur. I mean you guys never even had a chance to the candles lit. Did you know an attempt attempt because swooped in immediately. Yeah the concept and immediately aggressively the state troopers by the way that we're they're enforcing local town ordinance and what happened next so fun fact before we get started you guys know who's signature was on the town ordinance to make it to make picketing illegal in michelson michael sununu and that's brother right. Yes but the governor said that he had no involvement with that town. Ordinance okay so back to my story So they came up. They told us we couldn't pick it. They wouldn't define couldn't define what picketing was after being pressed on it and they said you can't stand one spot you can't target a residence. Couldn't stand across the street even though it was public property It belongs to the water department. They said it was. It was private public. Property confronted them about that The previous protests. That happened other because that was the first time they put those no trespassing signs up over there because they had them there before its share. You look at it on a google map or whatever it's designated as scott. Green park looked to it right so it looks like it's a park and you know they didn't threaten me when i was walking on the property before but then all of a sudden one week. There's now no trespassing signs up. So i asked one of the cops about it on video and he gave me the same lame explanation that it's private property and so we'll wait. How is how is it private property. If it's owned by the town he says oh it's the water department but that's still still the talaq for that exact taxpayers. It should always concerned people out. There really need to pay attention to that particular aspect of this. That what we're dealing with here in new hampshire where the cops aren't as as bad as they are in a lot of other places. They are literally just making crap up as they go. Order the tyrannize well and that's because there's no penalty for the police right so when it presumably what's going to happen here to at the very least the people who are ticketed as i understand it was nine. People were ticketed and then skyler. You're the only one who ended up getting arrested. And we'll get to that but i expect they're going to likely drought these tickets because they don't want to take this to court they don't want to to lose these cases in court so they'll drop the charges but there's not going to be any kind of penalty for the officers. Who wrote the charges or for the townspeople who voted for constitutional account. Or or for the counselors correct. Well i mean. I'm going to do my best to see that there. Some some people are held accountable. And there's a lot there is a state police trooper that wouldn't identify himself And literally ran away from me when i tried to get him to identify himself. Of course they arrested me for exercising my first amendment right and when you look at the the way that they went through the process they didn't even go through the town legislature. Michael new just signed this thing into into Order and made it. This like like that doesn't like i that doesn't dictate my rights. Just because you have a problem with what we have to say or would i have to say. Well there's multiple legal issues. I mean even from within their system there multiple issues with what they did. Legally as far as new hampshire is not what they call a home rule state so in order for a town council or city council to pass some sort of an ordinance it has to be approved in advance or it has to be allowed by the state legislature so the state legislature for instance has said that towns may have zoning some towns don't other towns to and that's because they are authorized to either have it or not depending on what they wanna do but the state has to sort of clear the way for that and allow that to happen. I i have never heard that. There's any kind of or you know. State law that says that local towns can ban picketing. But that's what they did here. Now you said it was just a new. I thought the all three of the signatures were on that from the town council. Am i mistaken on that. Well i very well could be mistaken. Because i think you. Okay so i. I just remember seeing his for sure. But oh yeah that's stood out. His signature stood out but they started the process. I think two weeks prior to that. And they had a what they call a first reading and then the second reading and they gave people time supposedly to comment on it. Still rush this crap. Yeah yeah yeah so so so when we got there. They said we couldn't direct anything but they were allowed to quote unquote march. And we said. Okay what is the march. And then they couldn't define what a march was like. How far do i have to go like to before this to be considered a march like hundred feet hundred miles like what are we talking about here. And they couldn't give us. Oh cut out the end of the street. i'm like well. What if it's what if the next street over in the streets only five hundred feet long district's three miles like there's a big difference and they couldn't Again they couldn't define it so we just okay. We're going to you know we're gonna walk down this way out of sight we walked for. I don't know a few hundred yards. Except for one guy that had a cane and was tripled and he couldn't really go. They ticketed him too. Didn't he that was on the way back. That was that was after they arrested me. Okay so we so. We walked down through the neighborhood again. Very quietly nobody's making any noise. There's no bull bullhorns like a bunch of a bunch of lies We came back through and the path a paved sidewalk right. That goes up next to his house to general store at the top of the hill. It's like i don't know the path itself is maybe five hundred feet long and we we were gonna go up that path and go to the store get some water and then take off so as as we get. We start approaching the cul de sac again. You know again. We're descended on by swarm of state troopers and a couple of cops and wasn't this at the point where like another reason cruisers rolled in. Didn't they more than double their numbers at this point. Yes so we said hey. We're going to walk this. And they were like okay fine and so we started walking up the path and then again. The guy with the cane was like yo. Can you wait up. And so we stop for one second in as soon as we turned around we saw the like the whole cavalry just rolling in another at least dozen cop cars and So then i the that was when i started trying to identify. The police saw the state troopers and most of them. Actually i'm not gonna lie. Most of the state troopers were they weren't they weren't terrible. It was this one would identify himself the rest of them. It kind of felt like they were doing a job that they know they shouldn't be doing but they have to get their paycheck and go home and feed their family like the rest of us. And like i don't know so. It's well when the nazis used. Yeah well i agree with that. But i'm just. I don't know they have discretion schuyler so every police officer has has discretion and they can use it obviously the the department can punish them for using it like by putting him on the overnight shift or something like that but generally. They can't be fired as i understand it. For using their discretion and there only very certain circumstances in which i understand that they cannot use discretion so the only cases where they can't use discretion where they must act is like if they witnessed a violent felony taking place or something like to do anything then because i have no duty to protect. Well that's true that's true. They don't have any duty to protect but in trouble with the police department. That's okay yeah. So yeah so. They stopped us and then all of a sudden. There's a stack of fifteen fully swat ready state troopers on sidewalk like looking at me and here here. I am asking this older state trooper definitely some sort of commanding officer To identify himself and he can be seen on video repeatedly like running away from me covering his name is his name badge and then he pointed me out to be arrested by this by the swarm of state troopers right so they cut me. They searched me. they surround me. They walk backwards for like three hundred yards. And i'm surrounded by at least a dozen off and i wanna tell you about their attitude to like. They showed up ready for a fight. I mean these guys had batons and they had them sort of in this ready fighting defensive kind of stance as they were surrounding him and we'll continue story in a moment and they had those batons stances for a candlelight vigils right not any sort of protest chanting not nec- yelling screaming just a candlelight vigil absolutely insane the free state project has reached its goal of twenty thousand liberty lovers who've pledged to move to new hampshire and get active to achieve liberty in our lifetime. Talk radio that you control and you wanna talk about anything. That's on your mind at six zero three. Two eight three six one six zero. I did that automatically. Got halfway through without even thinking about it. And i was like wait a minute my out the right number and i turned out to be which tonight it's aria and not and we're joined by schuyler who was recently the only person arrested at governors house outside of the governor's house during a candlelight vigil that never actually got to happen to recap the story. They showed up. There were state troopers everywhere. I think he said up to a dozen of them and the the cops just made up all kinds of crap on the fly. You know you have to keep moving. you have to. You have to mortgages jumping jack ups and so they did. They went up to the store and then they came back and there was this old man borderline crippled and trying to help him. This one state trooper became agitated that you were trying to get his name or something along those lines and ultimately told the other state troopers arrest him now. What was the charge. They dreamed up when they did. We didn't even. They told us we could walk up to the store and we didn't make it there. They stopped us before we get up there and and then that's when they started harassing everybody. They gave everybody hundred dollar fines. And you know the funny part is i can be seen again on video saying to The officers as trying to get their information. That i was just waiting for my ride to get ticketed and then we were gonna leave and it was after that point. They had that they pointed me out to be arrested. I'm not sure why. I was the only one that was singled out. Got my ticket ahead of everybody and then was singled out to be arrested for some strange reason. I was speculate that it was because you were trying to get that state Himself and yeah. That's really petty. Yep and they have to abuse in their pettiness and he was an older one. So like i feel like they're a little more even more stuck in there. Like bullheaded like you know what i mean like. You're not gonna tell me what to do. Kinda shit sorry. Put on hold there for just a second. We can keep them on just to do the thing of the already dumped it. Yeah i forgot that there the connected to dump anything since then. Don't do that again schuyler. Sorry yes so distracted with rolling something down so they so they arrested me or they detained me. They searched me. They're walking backwards in this huge group at this point. I'm talking to these guys. Like i'm not out here for myself. Not here trying to stir up trouble. The reason that like we are doing this as the reason that i am doing. This is because i care about so many people. I know that are in the service. Industry like bartenders servers and Hairdressers and massage therapists. And i mean there's a million different occupations where that have been severely impacted with these lockdowns and stuff and that's literally just telling these guys like You know that. I'm not out here trying to cause trouble. So they walk me back and they they stick me in the town cops cruiser which i immediately was like. That's kind of weird that they detained me and they put me in the town cop cruiser and made sense to me almost immediately and the reason is because i said there so we take off. We're headed to the station and the cop that was driving. He's young like he said he was twenty six. I don't i don't know if he was even that old awhile in and he was the He was the one that gave me the ticket. And a bunch of the other people tickets to so so soul to the devil early. Yep i was like you understand what just happened back there right and he didn't say anything. I go. those cops sold you out do you. Don't understand why it took fifteen to twenty of them total really to arrest me and then they took me and put me in your cruiser until you to file. The charges on me is the did that. Because somebody's gonna lose their job now. Well i don't now man like b. It's all on video. You pretty much have to be a rapist as a cop to lose your job and that won't fully do. That's really the only thing that can do it. I would like to think that somebody is going to lose their job over this. I want to be the guy that wouldn't identify himself. That'd be nice man. But i've seen this to me. I've seen this too many times. I mean actually you just saw. Derek jays victimless crime. Spree right you want to say that. Today guys lost their jobs. I'll tell you that. Not one of them that's true. Yep we'll see how thank you just broke my heart man. I was really actually like full steam ahead of thought. I was going to do this thing now. Now i'm gonna cry myself. I'm not telling you to back down right like please make much of a show of it as you can't because ultimately that's all that that this is good for winning is right is to show the people what's really going on out there and because you got video you can do that. It's so much more persuasive when you actually have video rather than saying well they said i did this and i know you got video. You can show what happened in. It's crystal clear that you guys weren't a threat. It's crystal clear that you are a peaceful group of people and these cops were the ones being the aggressors And that's all you can do. Is you can just keep chipping chip chip. Chipping away at the you. Know the legitimacy of these officers got a tough question for you schuyler so in the In the video one point you say to the officers that we're all on the same side or something to the effect of we're on the same side. What did you mean by that. So i have said for a while that i think that there's there's gonna be a lot of law enforcement that are gonna have to. They're going to end up stepping away from law enforcement and walking away from the state and they're seeing it in a the i think there. I think there's some that there's a lot of obviously are free to do it but when you appeal to somebody as a human being in and stop looking at them at like these guys like literally look at me like A terrorist all because they showed up toe to hold a candle like they're so brainwashed. Funny and like there's this there's a part of me that feels bad for them in wants to appeal to that side of them and say like your human like me would like we're this is not about cops like i just feel like it's big. It's much bigger than that. Okay that's that's a good answer because like that you're saying the same side was humanity because somebody could have looked at that somebody could have looked at that statement and said wait is he and undercover cop. Goon okay i trying to. I was trying to appeal to them as a human. Yeah and there are. Humans are somewhere in there. They've been so brainwashed by their training of them and we're them yes that's always been trained into this whole thin blue line mentality literally. Is it training of them and they try to dehumanize the people that they're going after and it's really sad. It's really sad. Because i don't think those cops got into it to stop. Candlelight vigil lists. And that's that's kind of what i was getting lighter like other. These guys are fathers. Like what kind of world are you leaving for your kids. If they can't go out somewhere and hold a candle like i'm trying to appeal to the more human side of them. Just there are a lot of them are just brainwashed so brainwashed and it's it's the other that thing that's a shame as we are all a slave to money so even if your career they absolutely hate but you have children to feed a lot of people stay in that career. So i don't know man i just. I think there's a lot of people out there that when when there's actually a real line in the sand they're gonna they're gonna step over to the to the right line in san realized that the issue is is is the government and the military complex and the militarization of police. Not people who wanna stop rapists and murderers and that we're asking questions can really come in handy when when when you've got the chance to actually get an answer from these guys because they may not answer in front of their superiors or whatever but asking him you know. Would you confiscate guns force people to you know vaccinate line officer and i guess part of the reason that i feel the way that i do is because i have. I have privileged information that there are a number of police within the state trooper organization that fully support what is happening with the with the protests. And the but they're just afraid to step up so sure because then the thin blue line will turn against them which is why it's hard to find any good cops because if there are any good cops they are cowering in fear of what the bad cop do to them. I mean the bad cops are pretty bad. They may you know. Cut cut a dog's head off and leave it on your front porch or whatever. If you're a good cop you know. Just try to intimidate you or Yeah i remember a fr- a former co host here on free talk live. Brad jarvis years ago was a. I think it was epping new hampshire. His brother's name is on the town legislation and his state troopers were out there enforcing the local talent ordinance bizarre. But we're going to move on now to talk about other things because Lockdowns are still happening and they still are not working much to the surprise of probably no one who listens to the show. I you see. They just need to lockdown harder. It's clear that's what will solve the problem. We just haven't been locking down hard enough. So now he just need to have total lockdowns where no one can leave their home at all even for essential goods. That does seem to be what people think. It's it's bizarre to me how. They don't seem to understand that the government is it only has two tricks up. Its sleeves now. One of those inflating the currency. The other is oppression. And that's all it can do. Neither of those two things are doing anything to curb the spread of this virus. That doesn't seem to be killing that. Many people chris carrawell sick and he's fine. Yeah go ahead operator error. Yeah that's all right Yeah one. I island area. You would say twenty six year olds police guy that they you know more or less gave You know it all to him and more or less you guys are screwing now. That's what happens with the state. Police really actuality he's gaining his ranks. So they're giving him. You know the the pistole sales more or less. They're earning him not arrest so he's gaining rank and a gain rank team. It's like everything else like five. I don't think you're right about right about that. I know that. For a fact. That my i can i have family that saying and yeah i was in a predicament. Where they gave arresting officer there was three of them and they gave it the one that just started the rest on me as a dui because it because he has a rookie and they just didn't mind. Losing the rookie in the middle of the event will hold on where you really drunk them. They're not gonna lose. He's not he's not gonna lose job but wait. We're losing his job. I mean you know it matters whether or not you lose your best cop at a scene that you clearly expect to become violent. I mean it would seem to make sense to send the rookie away. Not your best people. Okay but what i meant. the i've written. Okay hold on. You're saying you got a dui and they had the rookie do your arrest. Were you actually drunk during the dui. No okay now. I blow Very minimal. it was a three hour dinner. i'd wind what's to dinner sell forth honestly and they actually pulled me over coming in different. Directions is a cameras that they have on the front of their vehicles. State place they cut through the medium pulled me over. I wasn't even speed. And i seen them common. There was an hour's slowed down the over and laugh and more or less time at me. You know got the truck and gave it to the officer. That was just start vehicle. Your theory is correct here. I think that it's much more likely that if they have a questionable arrests they will give it to the newbie because it it'll look bad for them in the upper officers you know. They don't have that bad arrest on their record in that particular case and i'll give you an example We were here at Doing a nightcap as we did for thirty six weeks in a row this this last year in two thousand twenty as protest. We were outside at central square. And the common here in new hampshire. Keene new hampshire downtown and fully visible to all the cops there for weeks and it wasn't until like week number twelve or something like that when we finally had an with the police where they showed up and started leaving tickets on people's cars only week twelve i thought it was way further along than that and maybe it was a little further than that but it was several weeks. It was a bunch of weeks into it And so they known we were there prior to that known we were hanging out and probably knew we were drinking because we weren't hiding in. We made it abundantly clear. I mean we took shots as they drove by. Yeah and so the cops but what happened was there. Were two cops in the same cruiser. One of them was the younger cop the other one was he was young but he'd been on the squad for few years so there was one cop that was brand new and then one that was on the squad for like four years at least at that point and the one who is on the squad for four years was telling the young guy what to do and so the young guy got out and he was the one issuing the tickets. He was the one that i targeted. When i had my video camera allerton was you know giving him a hard time Cop did not know what he was getting into diddy. I think that he had probably some idea i mean. They probably briefed him. Some extent. on. Who the liberty people are free staters or whatever they call us and i they wanted him specifically to sort of him in that this was his. You know initiation so to speak like all right. I know jim. You gotta go down and hand out tickets to the free staters even though they know. We're going to challenge them they know we're going to go to court. They know we're gonna take it all and all of them that were challenged were dropped. Yes so they were just messing with them. What i meant. When i'm an aspect was the state lease. I meant divide down from county sheriff or your local and he state is different. You know you're in new hampshire. i'm talking about. I was talking to jersey. When i said that i live in pennsylvania so it's the states differ from each other. But yeah when you get down to the county local you know like city metropolitan daddy all have their own different roles. Accessibility for whatever reasonings. That's not why was calling in a sense. Okay why are you calling bullshit on the radio. So thank you goodbye. Sorry man and that's twice with the same word from people. Nice sorry about that call Give it another shot. This is of course a radio show. You gotta keep it fcc friendly. I think he was done anyway. Well he wanted to talk about the great reset right. Oh he started with that. Yeah i'm ready for nightcaps to return and you know as you really y- y bring them back this a little cold right now. I'm anxious for you. Know mid february and march whenever they return. I'm ready for them to return. Because there's a lot of fun and friendly did do one in the middle of december and you get. It was two degrees. We stayed for an hour and i had to spend a lotta time warming my feet up after that. Pretty tough man. I wanted to go. And i was off work and you know i went home and there's a nightcap tonight and i looked two degrees only no i'm all for it but that's a little chilly. We had as many people as we did out there. I think we had like ten. Ten people out. there says was a good one. It frustrates me. Though that i managed to miss every single one of the ones that had cop show up except for when we chase them down when they put that guy for not turning over here on his headlights for that one. But all the other all the other fun adventures of nightcaps hike. I ended up missing. And that sucks so lockdowns don't work according to us statistic stat statistician hate that word. Because they force people to congregate and fewer places which we've talked about repeatedly but now this guy evidently is going to crunch few numbers and you know actually really reveal it to us the altar notes that a lockdown is not the same as a quarantine because under lockdown people only have a limited selection of venues at which they're allowed to gather meaning. Those locations are busier. And therefore mak- virus more transmissible logic. Like we talked about last week. Where oh this. Stores limited as it's ours curfews limit stores hours bars hours and it just forces people to go to those places during those hours. Yeah it used to be that you could go to someplace as twenty four hours a day and now you can't. Yeah so that means you have half the amount of hours in the day that you can go to them and the obvious result of that is more people in the same amount of space. Lockdowns are merely forced gatherings writes the author briggs. People in lockdown are allowed to venture forth from their dwellings to essential activities like spending money at arc run stores. These stores are collection points where people are concentrated somewhere allowed to go to jobs. Such as supporting electric run stores briggs notes that lockdowns concentrate people into fewer areas outside before it then forces them back inside to mingle with a vengeance. It is clear that are one hundred percent. Transmissible bug was spread. Much faster when people are forced to spend more time indoors with each other one person gets it. I remember saying around the start of this cova. Not says her. You know six months into it or something that you know cove. It was going to outlast brexit orange on. It didn't actually done anything. They've reached an agreement. I guess well yeah. There's been a whole lot of hot air surrounding brexit but not a whole lot of action. No absolutely nothing has happened so far. As far as i'm aware we knew it was going to be like this. I mean because. I didn't want to do it. Well i mean some people did one okay government. I'm sure some people in the government did i mean for for some people in the state it means more control right so some people love the idea of supranational government like the eu or the or the The united nations united states is another example but so some people. Some bureaucrats are enthralled with that idea but others. I'm sure would rather have their own little fiefdom where they have total domination. And so i think you're going to have a split in between the government guys on this. I like the idea of the uk leaving the united nations. Not the united nations the european union. Simply because. I do think that you know smaller government. It's somewhat easier to hold accountable than larger governments and if fresh traits me that people don't realize that the united states is the same sort of super-national apparatus at the european but the brainwash of what a state is has corrupted people's at the sense to the extent where they think is just some sort of principality or just a region district or whatever instead of an actual sovereign state. But boris johnson has held these glad tidings of great joy in a christmas message on christmas eve after sealing his six hundred and sixty billion pound brexit. Trade deal the. Pm gave the nation and early christmas present as he secured this historic agreement which finally sees the united kingdom take back control from the eu. Four years of bitter wrangling. So it's over so this is it. This is the trade agreement right. They were waiting on. I guess i grab in our chat room right now is saying brexit happened and i guess he means what you're talking about this is it. This is is this the final. Is that a piece of the puzzle. Here i mean it's it's hard to see. These processes are so political there so drawn out there so long. They're so boring. It's hard to really know when it started when it ended. I mean how can you tell. Like what makes it clear that brexit happened are there now checkpoints at the border where there weren't before i mean what is it that you know. How do we know. How can i be. Sure about this. Phone lines are open. Six zero three two eight three sixty one sixty so. This trade deal is five hundred freaking pages yet reading yup speaking video twitter. He said tonight on christmas eve. He's really going through the ceremony of this. I have a small present for anyone who may be looking for something to read in that sleepy post christmas moment and here it is a five hundred page piece of legislation written by attorneys and lawyers that no one but attorneys lawyers will understand or even care about as a deal to give certainty to businesses travelers all investors in our country from january the first. Oh so evidently it went into effect january. The first a deal with our friends and partners in the eu. You remember the oven. Ready deal by which we came out on january. The first that oven ready deal was just the start. A weird weird. Idioms ma'am i assume he's talking about january thirty first two thousand twenty like a year ago because as you pointed out this crap has been going on for four years. So that's it. That's the good news from brussels. Now for these routes and a ham british people vistor. This is weird idiosyncratic. He received another boost last night as someone in labor vowed that they would back. The deal meaning is likely to sell through the comments next week. Which of course would be this week. And i don't have an update scottish. If i was good at my job i would. Scottish fishing yesterday branded the brexit deal hugely disappointing. But they're still they haven't even seen the full details of the agreement. I look forward to the united kingdom seceding from the european union. I hope they're more successful with it than certain states were from seceding from the united states. He told the nation at a momentous press conference on christmas eve. That brits were right to take back control in his deal delivered what they voted for back in two thousand sixteen. We have taken back control of laws and our destiny. We have taken back control of every jot and tittle of regulation So yeah you're right. He's favorite because it gives him more control more power in a promise to brussels. I mean ultimately. I support all secession movements. I don't care even this if it's socialist movement if it's tyranny you know that they wanna have to enforce on themselves because i don't wanna see more more centralized governments i mean ultimately a massive. Eu is more controlling than you know likely a british government but even so if the britons want to have a more controlling state than let them have it that is clearly what they want. I you could not pay me to go to the united kingdom. I'm not interested either. Same thing's true in catalonia in spain where there's been quite a bit of Secessionist movement to the point where they actually brought in Police from all over the country what. They had a vote to to succeed from spain. Here's some cops. They actually tried to stop the vote from happening. And and those people want more socialism. Those people who are voting aren't freedom fighters they only want freedom from madrid. They don't actually want freedom freedom they just want freedom from the other states in spain and you know what i again. I vala trista. I don't believe in any of these state things. Fm rat speed. You're on free talk live evening. Hello i was wondering if you either of you. Or if anyone and the students have watched the recent video it's it's three three days old now but Protests that happened in public area in london where people were being arrested for hugging one another. Yes i saw one man arrested. I don't know if other people were arrested. There was the gentleman Black gentleman and it looked like it was happening at speakers corner in london where he was hugging consensually. By the way it wasn't like he was going up and you know battering that would be assault. Right he was. Actually you know people were putting their arms out. They were welcoming his hugs and he hugged what appeared to be at least five six maybe eight people and then the police came in and they put him under arrest because they claimed that he didn't know the people that he was hugging and they weren't in his bubble holy crap. Yep it happened now. Compare that to the video. That's currently going viral on twitter. Which is at a Trump protest for counting the votes. The speaker behind the speaker is calling for everyone to give each other a hug. Give a stranger a hug and they start hugging each other. So i started comparing the two and i'm thinking so this i mean the way that we have it in the united states. Is they paint anyone. Who has quote antibac- sir or anti mask. Or whatever the label you want to give them as some kind of a right wing. Protest trump's trump loving supporter. But yet over here in the united kingdom. The person was black and a couple of the people that he was. you know. Light color doesn't matter itself but it's interesting to see how even so you have two different dynamics. He have one where it's being celebrated among people and then you have the other place where you get arrested for it for the exact same action. It's amazing to look at the the relativity of this. And so i would. I showed it to my friends. And i said you know what because the i told them. They showed the trump video. So i showed them this video and i said well. It's better than getting arrested for hugging someone and that person said to me. Well you mean the viruses spreading better. And i'm like no you don't understand it. This is voluntary interaction between two people. I said imagine. If i went to go visit you and you was having lunch with you out on a public street and i give you a hug and we both get arrested for it. That's essentially what. That's what just happened here and trying to get through their head and how it's just it's it's so frustrating. I live in nevada. And i go outside without a mask and you know it's actually pretty nice here. Half the people have masks around half the people don't You know sometimes people are hang around in groups with masks on. Okay i can understand you know. Maybe they have some fear behind. Sometimes i see people walking absolutely by themselves with no one around for hundreds of feet with a mask on yet. I'm like it's a beautiful day out. Why do we need masks. The wind is going to take whatever virus you might have got the most virulent virus ever the moment you breathe out. It's going to float out into the breeze. It's going to go across the river into the ocean. Like why do we need as fear straight up here. That's all straight of fear now. I had to have some some emergency. Emergency some elective surgery. Recently i had to travel to california right and so i'm sitting there the quad without a mask on. I'm just looking around. You know everyone's giving me the weird. I is this california. I don't have a mask. And then i started noticing things that doctors were permitted to go in without getting their temperature checks. That's interesting And then i noticed that the tram there was like a low like a golf cart kind of tram that was carved people around they had plexiglass around it many thinking. There's a virus going around. Why are you trying to contain people inside a non porous surface instead of living in the breeze. Get some fresh air in. Like i said let the virus go out. People are not thinking people are leading the government. Do it for them they figure. Oh well i'll just do what. I'm told these. Politicians they're talking with the experts. The doctors they're the experts even though other doctors are saying the opposite thing But they've chosen the political experts that they are going to just believe everything they're told because they don't want grandma die and it's getting to the point to where people are being arrested and people are saying. Okay that's fine. I'm sorry she's not. But i know it's up to the same similar kind of crazy arrests. I just saw video today out of toronto where the police were arresting people in a parking lot. Who were just going to get some. I think like boba t. Apparently i think singularity from our chat room posted it earlier today on chat dot dot. Fm they were just like in a shopping center. Parking lot and the cops came up and demanded id from them and they then started arresting one of these guys and he said well. What are you arresting me for. And they said you didn't show. Id you refused. You told us to f off when we asked for your id and under this. Reopen can reopen toronto act or reopen ontario. Act you must show. Id or something like that. And they they arrest this guy violently for it and then they start threatening one of his One of the other people that was in the parking lot at the end of the video for the same thing. Yep stop show your papers. That's exactly what this is and it's happening. And i mean the only thing that's i feel still keeping this from happening here is the first amendment. That's really it. That's the only thing the moment that you start shredding apart the first amendment which already has been. It's been with a little way up. That's the only thing that's protecting us away from from the same things that are happening in british commonwealth countries. That and this is the second amendment in places like new hampshire where you can still have a gun at a protest bradsby. Thanks so much for the call. It's disheartening to see. So many people being arrested for stupid things but of course the state was always going to use this as a power. Grab yes your now. It's got these checkpoint can set up and demand you show them your id and if you don't they will arrest you at least that's the case in canada's probably the case in the united kingdom as well i don't know that's just speculation but they're pretty similar in how how tyrannical they are and the uk may be about to get worse. Maybe about to get better. But evidently they've grown up some new borders in regard to this brexit agreement. Yep and again. The gentleman in chat rooms says this thing is done. It's sealed signed it's over. The brexit thing has happened and indeed. This may be proof of it in that there are now new border restrictions being put into place or in place. And according to the bbc's report lucy williamson writing here a post. Brexit trade agreement signed last month. This was better By the way written yesterday signed in december means there are no tariffs on goods sent across the english channel to france. But new regulatory and customs checks do apply more than fifty million pounds or fifty million euros. Worth have been spent on preparing the french side of the channel. For this moment the money was spent on new buildings to carry out the checks more staff more carparks and so-called smart border system designed to keep traffic moving but by midday on monday. Customs officials at the port of calais. Were still waiting to check their first vehicle of the day. That's because there weren't many people traveling. No there's not many people. It was a similar story at the channel tunnel. Frances news smart border system designed to move most of the customs process online appear to be working smoothly only lorries. That require extra. Checks are being stopped. The president of the calais port said. Brexit is not synonymous with congestion. But it's too soon to cry. Victory commercial traffic across the channel was less than twenty percent of normal levels on monday and the major test will come in the next few weeks. When smaller companies returned and volume begins to grow so there are some new requirements. There are new border checkpoints. There is the expectation that trade at the border is going to slow down a bit as of right now. We don't know how it's going to end up because the traffic is just too late due to the holiday and brexit just happened. It'll be interesting to see what comes next. Us d. whether it's because those things are good or bad it's largely the fault of the usd just constantly plummeting in value as more of it is created out of thin air because that's what the government does gold has had its best year in more than a decade. Has it really last year. According to bloomberg and of course bitcoin. Twenty twenty one. it was a good year for bitcoin. Was it's it's best you though i don't know about that it might have been it depen- if you find it in terms of percentage probably not. I dunno went up over two hundred percent in the whole year. Hundred and eighty percent two hundred and fifty or something like that at least enroll numbers. It was bitcoins. Best year dollars as far as value relative to the cost of goods and services. I guess would be the best way to phrase it but yet everything's doing good except the us dollar but that's not surprising. Yeah it sucks so bad for them but this but that may be changing. Let me take this back here. I'd said two hundred eighty percent. Two hundred fifty. It's actually up over three hundred and twenty percent last year so one year ago today it was definitely important to make that distinction so big banks are finally getting into crypto currency. It would seem we're at least according to marketwatch. Us regulators are saying that banks. Can you stable coins and connect to blockchain's crypt. Now for those who don't know stable coin. Is this interesting. It is because it authorizes them in theory to start holding bitcoin for people which i don't support it but i think that's what they'll end up doing. Well actually what this sounds like. It's doing now pr prior to this. What you're talking about. They were already told by the up of whatever it is at the. That's doing this. What's at stanford officer of the comptroller of the currency officer office of controller of the currency. They had come out with a ruling earlier that that banks were allowed to hold crypto currencies for people. So this is different. This is saying the banks are allowed to transact meaning interbank meaning bank to bank other. They're saying that now. If you're if you have a bank and citibank is a bank that the two banks can now send stable coins instead of using the fed wire or a jew or whatever. Okay so this. Bigger than i expected so cryptocurrency prices briefly popped late monday. What a student's. What a stupid statement to make based on the last three weeks alone of bitcoin has been doing. After federal banking regulator said in an interpretive letter that us financial institutions are allowed to you stable coins per payment activities and can participate as notes in a blockchain. The letter is the latest crypto. Friendly move from the treasury department office are letter removes any legal uncertainty about the authority of banks to connect to blockchain's as validate or notes and thereby transact coin payments on behalf of customers who are increasingly demanding the speed efficiency interoperability and low cost associated with these products. Which isn't iceland prize. The i say. I'm surprised to see this happening with federal regulators. Being so welcoming towards crypto. You letting banks do these things because the banks as you and i have learned are deathly afraid of crypto currency. They're afraid of what the legalities are whether it's illegal for them to allow customers to do these things or they just don't like it because it's it's competition i think at some level some of the banks understand that but i think also smarter banks and there aren't very many of them but Smarter banks do realize that you know they're not out of the game yet and if they can figure out a way to integrate crypto currency into their banking game than that could help them. And i think that it could. It probably could buy them a few more decades. Well you know what they gotta do something. But i want to. I want them to die a soon as possible. I really do want him to go away as well. But i mean there institutions. They're not going to go away without a fight. And they are to some extent protected by the federal government well evidently cryptocurrency has now putting a big dent in the long longevity of banks the move essentially puts blockchain networks on an equal level as global financial networks such as swift. Ach and fed wire the lobbyist group. The blockchain association said in a tweet now. They don't mitch him. Bitcoin specifically but if they can do this with like tether or something to settle debts. Couldn't they in theory also use. Bitcoin could but that would you would only be able to settle something with bitcoin so if there was a dead meaning that bitcoin could only settle a debt of bitcoin. I settle a debt on dollars with bitcoin because the price of bitcoin changing constantly. it's a giant advanced for crypto because it paves the way for these networks to be a former part of the us financial infrastructure. Not necessarily something. I want to see but it's a step in the right direction. I don't wanna see it either but unfortunately the reality of stable coins is with the exception of di. Da which is the most interesting of of stable coins for listeners. that don't know stable. Coin is a crypto currency token. Which means it's this thing that sort of rides on another crypto currency. So when you hear of tether which you mentioned which is the code for that is usd dt and then there's token right correct then there's us d. c. Which is a circle in coin based version where they had their own stable coin. And then there's be usd which stands for by nance usd which is the largest exchange on the planet right. Now they have their own us dollar based stable coin. And then there's others right like this so there's pakistan's has wax pax yet paxos. That's one as well. And so all of these companies that are behind these stable coins are all compliant every single one of them and in fact there was a story earlier in twenty twenty about how was it packs. I think it might have been. Usd t tether where there was a person who was accused of some sort of a fraud or something illegal or whatever that had received or sent tether and tether went back and they retrieved that tether and they undid that transaction because they have the the ability to do that so bitcoin or or tow kuenz are on the theory and blockchain. Almost all of them. There are some. That aren't some bitcoin cash chain. Yeah and i don't know if those other chains have similar controls they probably do. But i'm not sure about bitcoin. Cash i can't speak to that one But the theory version of these things allows for the issuer. Tether in this particular case to just go in and say no and undo a transaction and pull it back now how many levels they can pull it back. I presume all of them. But i guess permanent right. They could in theory go all the way back to the genus. By presume i like. I said i don't know because it's what they call an theorem. It's a smart contract so it's not like your normal crypto where your typical bitcoin. Once bitcoin is sent. There's no undoing that unless they like completely reverse unless they split the blockchain and there there are some very crazy situation. That could happen is actually done that. And that's the number one reason i don't like him. In my opinion if crypto. chris is going to work then. We have to be able to have faith in it. That what it is today is what it is. And that's what it's going to be tomorrow ten minutes done. I the whole idea of rolling back. These changes on the blockchain and creating new ones and undoing things. It's it's changing. It's like an attempt to erase the past and change the past and undermines my faith in the crypto currency. Right which is why is the most interesting of all the stable coin so da is also a us dollar stable coin. But it's not it's unlike the others which are based on like for instance circle or us dc. They've got a billion or two or three billion dollars in a bank account somewhere and that's what backs up this crowd or this crypto token same. Thing's true with i presume. They might have more than one bank account. But they've got here. You know a place where the silly if they only had one bank account where the dollars are being held back. These tokens diet. Doesn't have that die. Uses crypto currency deposits. to back. its tokens and it's very interesting. That still still. They've got these mechanisms that manage to keep it at the price of a dollar is very very interesting and supposedly. There's just what i've read. Die does not have the ability to come in and do an undue and pullback transaction so that makes it the most interesting of those things is definitely the most promising something worth looking into while the letter specifically mentioned stable coins digital currencies are pegged to a relatively stable asset such as gold or the us dollar because there are crypto currencies pegged to go with mike or tether gold. I didn't know there was another goal. Is bitcoin Prices have more volatile cryptocurrency jumped immediately after the loss announcement lost both of those games within hours. And because we're now reading this hour later it has has made up those losses again and is probably at a new all-time high because it's going crazy. It's a good time to get into bitcoin so once again head on over to bitcoin dot com. If you don't know about cryptocurrency and you wanna get into it because it's changing the world. Does this ever happen to you. Moments after you're introduced to someone you forget his or her name. It's a common faux pas. That is a chance of patchy fog throughout the evening other areas would experience fog after midnight. Lows across the region will be in the mid twenty s to low thirties. Owned your wednesday. There will be mostly cloudy. Conditions with fog in some areas during the morning. Hours highs will range from thirty. Mid forces mostly cloudy conditions continue through wednesday night. Low temperatures around. That's the latest from with us. Initially gained more than five percent but was last up just one percent. And they're attributing all of this to the latest ruling from the comptroller of currency or whatever. It's called the office of the comptroller of the currency which is going to allow banks to transact with stable coins like us tether and possibly even die as you talked about in addition to wire transfers and ach and things of that nature so these stable coins just got put effectively on the same level as writing a check or swiping a debit card. And that's big news for crypto currency. And i hope to see more of that going forward but of course the banks are going to take years to do anything about it if they move forward in any way shape or form they are. And i know they're custodial wallets are coming. I know one day. You'll install your banking gap and it will have a place right there for your bitcoin. But i read that. And i know it has like pay pal does. Yeah i know it has to happen at some point for cryptocurrency. Move forward for the average person to become more exposed to it and the banks are best suited to do that right. Well i mean a bank helps for people. Because they don't want the responsibility of holding their money. That's why you give it to a bank. Right is because having a stack of cash in your home is risky. And so people feel safer when it's a big vault protected by the bank and so they want other people to hold their funds for them. Of course they also want to make you know some sort of an interest payment on it even though banks barely even give half a percent or a quarter of a percent on an annualized basis these days. I mean it's a joke. The amount of interest that they pay but people still would rather put their money in the banks hands because it feels safer to them. Every time i think about interest. I think about capital one. Am i checking account and my savings account within that they are still paying interest on. They closed this account while they froze it in august of two thousand nineteen. And they're paying you interest on it even though the frozen your funds and you can't actually retrieve them right and as i six hundred fifty dollars so it's not worth it. 'cause yeah i mean that's ultimately what one set every month or something like that is. It's completely stupid. i just one day. I'm going to go to the mailbox. And there's going to be a check their from capital one and it's gonna make me a little bit happier but it's not worth it to. I were them but yeah they're still paying interest on it. My latest savings account at a local bank is actually paying pretty decent amounts. I don't know what the percentage is but it's more than one one cent a month. Yeah well you might have more than six hundred dollars to i probably. Yeah so psychedelics. One of my favorite topics They are replacing pots. They new favourite edgy investment. Evidently really now because psychedelics or what was at. What's the term you prefer entheogen. Yeah that's god within. Is that what that stands for. Okay they are becoming more mainstream with places now. Legalising silla sobbing. Cuban says which are magic. Mushrooms decriminalizing yes. Thank you for the career. Legalizing for medicinal purposes. What we saw in oregon this year. It is now legal for therapeutic use. So you can take you. Can we say the science settled. At least the science is willing to look at it now and you know whereas before was totally prohibited so now we can actually have studies done on suicide simon and other previous previously fully illegal drugs and in fact just go back real real fast to the first hour. You just reminded me of this schuyler. The the guest we had on the beginning. The guy that got arrested outside of sununu house. He said that the cops gave not only gave back his gun in his ammo but gave him back his. We'd at times really are changing. That's insane elsom man. Yeah well on him for you know. Keeping his pot so cannabis is still not fully legal in the united states. This sort of a grey area. I heard early. It is still a schedule. One drug meaning there is no medically according to the federal government. And they're liars there's no medical. Whatever reason or something to use cannabis no medical defend whatsoever. Yeah and of course. That's not true. Total book but i've also heard that there is some sort of momentum to getting that changed in washington. Dc of course who knows whether or not that's true and who knows how long it will take and who knows whether or not it will include legislation to provide condoms to filipino hookers. Yeah it there was a proposal within the last couple of months. It got voted on as i understand it. Thomas massie voted against it. Not because he's against ending cannabis prohibition but because it included a five percent tax federal tax. We know they're going to tax it. I mean they've been taxing get into oblivion and where that they've you know soda whether medicinally or recreationally but all they really need to do is just take it off drugs schedule and then it won't be federally illegal anymore and then it can be up to the states to decide that would be ideal but that's not the way the federal government does things can abyss only on the cusp of many investors comfort zones. But the family offices and high net not worth individuals hungry for early stage as she investments have already moved onto psychedelics. Marijuana's legal headway. Recent years has paved the way for new interest in remedies typically relegated to the black market because as we love pointing out banning. These things doesn't make them go away. It just puts them onto the black market Companies that work with drugs like silla. Simon ingredient magic mushrooms or aiba gain used in how to some native americas ceremony. I'm not gonna attempt to pronounce. Ceo oscar yeah. That's it thank. You are proliferating with early stage. Investors predicting such substances have an even better shot than cannabis at disrupting the seventy billion dollar market for mental health. No doubt yeah. The question now is whether such aims out in time to catch up with all the money flowing in people see this potentially as they get rich quick mechanism just like you saw in the early stages of cannabis right but which companies are going to be. The winners of course is another question. Yeah they feel they don't have they don't they. Don't want to have another fomo situation here now. Foremost has for fear of missing out. And these guys are like okay. I missed the boat on cannabis invest in the cannabis companies and missed the boat. I better get it right. This time and invest in the psychedelic companies. They're saying the same thing about bitcoin saying that they missed the boat. Well the difference between bitcoin and these companies is that bitcoin is not a company bitcoin. Now bitcoin there are human beings that are programming bitcoin. But it's not like a corporation in the traditional sense in that there's no ceo of bitcoin. There's no like you know. Board of directors of bitcoin. There are programs that contribute to code. And somehow that becomes a thing if facebook ever bads me. I'm going to put on my profile. Ceo of bitcoin just to see who who buys it but ultimately that's not what bitcoin another corperation and so when you buy bitcoin you're not buying the sort of human run. I mean there are humans involved and in my opinion the humans behind. Bitcoin screwed it up. Personally it's it's not a your money. It's not a form of money like it used to be but whatever those people do. They're not moving very quickly so anytime soon. We're not likely to see any significant changes to bitcoin. So you're just sort of buying this thing. That is this concept that people can you know they can use it still just expensive to us and do you think that this thing this concept is going to succeed in the future is the question. There were versus. Will this company run by fallible human beings with board of directors and shareholders or whatever. You're betting on a totally different kind of situation there. will these people mismanaged this This company will their product even if they're managing the company. Well will the product actually stick in the marketplace in. There's an and will they be able to beat the competition Somebody could say well. Bitcoin has a bunch of competition too. And it's true sure. One of these other crypto in crypto currency right and one of the may rise to the point where it finally defeats bitcoin and knocks it from the top of the heap. We're not anywhere close to that happening. But it could come sooner than we think and it could come faster than we think so. I mean there are some similarities. But i don't feel like you're comparing apples and apples when he looked missing out the keeping people from buying bitcoin. Like oh i missed the boat on that. And that's what they're doing here. But i'm just saying it's a riskier. Bet as far as you know putting to me at least look putting money into some company. That's gonna do a thing. Supposedly with psychedelics is a much riskier. Bet then putting some money into bitcoin interest holding well certainly. Bitcoin has ten years of history. That's what it does any us doing it very well. Other than the fact that you know is actually not useful as money and the odds that any of these companies are gonna go up three hundred percent in a year. Not very good never mind. Bitcoin was the the fastest growing asset or the most profitable asset for the entire decade of the last not that you should look at it as an asset but that's what the developers of bitcoin have turned it into. We got david calling from new mexico. David you're on free talk. Live quarter sexism story for you which i can still share but i see an interesting development here the last night man. I'm sorry to interrupt you. Can you put your phone in that mode that we test last night. Where it's not as loud. That might help quite a bit How about now. That's a little better. Okay the So yesterday i had mentioned on your program My court appointed attorney. And i mentioned her by name. Because it's public record. Roberta your chick You're sick your chick anyway For months and months and months. And months i had gotten zero response from attorney your chick when i inquired as to viewing the evidence The evidence to discover all of the discovery materials. I have seen Zero of the information that. I requested her from her on many occasions over the last number of months and then i mentioned her on your program yesterday even after. She ignored the email that i had sent her earlier. In that day. Mentioned around your program yesterday evening and then central another email First thing today. And i almost immediately got a response Saying that she was going to dredge up that discovery information and transmit it to me when she's ignored me for months and months and months. No correlation what does it correlation is not causation. But it's interesting. And i i have intentionally use your Radio program especially on the weekends when you're broadcast live over the airwaves in new mexico To get messages to people like our auditor our governor cetera because having lived in new mexico for almost twenty years. I know if i mentioned any person in new mexico on your radio they will hear about it including right up right on up to the governor. You're giving us much credit but you know thanks. It's well it's happened on multiple occasions when i've said something on your program and then shortly thereafter and and my might just be coincidence but on multiple occasions like this one Something has moved so. It's rather interesting courtroom sexism. Well the the the courtroom sexism was The sane cases and it was interesting to note that There are three different judges involved. Presently there worked for but two of them are female and one of them are male. And because of the way my attorney ms your check had been ignoring me. regarding my input My assistance in my own defense. I was forced as as you may remember at the the second that the judge calls my case in these hearings on the telephone i immediately object in order to be heard on the record because in i have learned that if i need immediately object and get on the record that i will be railroaded into hearing and not be heard at all. And they'll go off the record. And and in the cases where in two cases actually Three different events. Two different judges that were female. Immediately they say basically shut up whereas in the case of the male judge and let me give them credit because he's proven himself to not do this a victor valdez in In albuquerque new mexico did not do that at all he he actually Listened and listened in full to whatever it is that. I had to say anytime that i had something to say. On my case whereas the two females their response one hundred percent of the time was to tell me to shut up. Yeah i mean that's that's an interesting observation. And certainly there's so many different people that have had similar experiences. I imagine within family courts where they feel discriminated against because of their gender and or by the gender that is the opposite of. There's that happens to be behind the bench now. Of course the judges. I'm sure we'll deny any kind of Such discrimination but it's an observation right. Thanks so much for the call. Is there an update to this. Have you had any luck with getting. These charges dropped now. This is all about you calling the radio station. Still correct right. Yeah this was for calling in to the university of new mexico radio station k. You and i'm just like a calling to you and then telling me to get lost in me refusing to get lost because our taxes pay the hundred percent of their budget basically and Then they got me. Written up cited arrested. Whatever on four different charges. I have defeated the of the state of new mexico by da. Raul torres has surrendered me on three of the four charges and the fourth and final one comes to a hearing On this friday at nine forty five. Am and what kind of a trial. It's its status as a pre conference. I'm sorry pretrial conferences what it's titled as which would have been going on for reading. When did they arrest you for this five years ago. It hasn't gone to trial and five years. No no have. You requested a speedy trial. Oh yeah yeah. That's the first you file a request request trial. Did they deny it. Oh no they've been. They have been giving me my speedy trials for the last five years. Is it okay. Well yes heartbreaking. David yup and. I can't blame this one on. Cove it 'cause it's been going on for five years and good luck with that. Keep fighting the good fight in new mexico. I can't that. He requested a speedy trial five years into this and they're just not hearing. That's absolutely insane. So we're talking about psychedelics. Here the overlap. Between the two sectors meaning cannabis psychedelics. It's clear both involves substances. That are federally illegal. In the united states and in many other countries around the world which understandably puts off many institutional investors but it also leaves the playing field open to high net worth individuals and family offices for whatever reason yet there are also huge differences psychedelics which can involve intense side effect plagued trips so can cannabis to have the widespread recreational appeal of marijuana and with all the talk about microdosing productivity booster or mood hack which has little to do with the narrow regulatory pathway see psychedelic startups are treading. There's a fear. The market could see a bubble. Just like cannabis did now. Microdosing is actually a way that these psychedelics actually could become at least as popular at as purchase as cannabis. Absolutely people just take a few mushroom or a small dose of mushroom be more productive. I hate the term. Hack most life hacks and mood hacks crap. I hate that. And i assume most people out there are aware that on new year's eve we went to a bit of a party. Yes we did quarantine space disco big as some of the other parties. That happened on new year's eve. Evidently there was one wanna. France had two thousand attendees at least several arrests were made in los angeles. Apparently i was kind of disappointed that the cops never showed up. Where are you really kind of. I was at my entire time there. Being the door person was completely wasted. All you got to talk with some people talked to every single person who entered but yeah. It wouldn't even fun to screw with the police. They didn't show up. That was not the point of the party. The party was to have a party. Yes and we did and we did did not successfully have a party. No they failed unfortunately well they had the party but they got cracked down pon and it wasn't just france. Actually france was interesting because the police failed at cracking down on that party they actually retreated after the revelers through things at the police and then lit one of their cruisers on fire. Lit like a police van on fire so kudos to the french. French ravers man didn't hurt anyone. Well i don't know look if once again. There's the topic of violence is being discussed in our chat. Room right now and I got no problem if somebody wants to oppose the police attacking them and oppose your defense right so if a cop is coming in and trying to bust up party and they're going to hurt people because that's what they do know i'm not gonna i'm not gonna shed any tears if some cop takes a bottle to the side of the head during that process of those people trying to defend their party. I'm not gonna shed aaron points. But that said i do generally oppose violence as as a solution but In in the united states things did not go so well in places like new york city which we did report on at least three parties in new york city being taken out by sheriff's officers or whoever whichever goon squads were rating those. We talked about that. A harsh where these parties Some of them as large as two to three hundred. Okay ten dis. And here's another story from the blaze dot com los angeles county sheriff's department crack down on new year's eve parties by employing it's super spreader task force god. The strict clampdown resulted in hundreds of partygoers being detained arrested and find the superspreader taskforce was comprised of quote hundreds of detectives patrol deputies and specialized response teams unquote. The coronavirus lockdown enforcers crashed. Five large new year's eve parties in los angeles malibu. Hawthorne an pomona the illegal celebrations were held in speakeasy locations such as upscale homes. Vacant warehouses a doubletree hotel and shuttered businesses. I'm confused what the point of even breaking up. This party is if it's all about the spread of covid nineteen or whatever wouldn't the damage already be done by that point it would but they see they can't just they can't just let people do this otherwise they will be seen as impotent They are impotent. In the face of these of a virus they are they are but this is all about power. Okay we know. It's not about the virus. We know that the virus is going to spread. We've seen the evidence. I think it was during the shows. Captain kick ass brought in study where they looked at the military where the military put in like the military lockdown where they had like a special zone with participants in this study and they were like cleaning the bathroom every time they used it they were cleaning everything everywhere constantly. The the food was sanitized. Or whatever when it was brought in there were tracking. Every i mean they had all of the possible strictures that they could possibly have. These people weren't allowed to leave the military so they're really good at this sort of disappeared doing what they're told right like they're following the orders. They've got a protocol and they're following it and they actually had no significant. I think it was actually slightly more of a or c same or slightly more basically. It's statistically insignificant difference between infection rates within this study versus outside of this study so it didn't matter how restrictive that they got but what matters to the state is whether or not people obey and so they can't allow a party to go on if it's not about like if the word gets out that this party is is happening in the state get did nothing about it. Then they look like well. They're paper tiger. They look like they're telling people what to do but they're not willing to put any force behind it so hey go out and have a party because the cops won't do anything about it so they have to do it. They have to make a show of cracking down. So people know they're still in charge and so in our case they didn't do that which is nice right. So that's the thing when you do civil disobedience you put the state into this position where either they look like. They're being tyrants by cracking down on the peaceful activity such as a candlelight vigil or they look like they're not doing what they're supposed to quote unquote be doing right. They look like they failed in their duties. They look like they're impotent. They look like they're laws are meaningless. Which you know is a nice thing to make them look like you know. It's just occurred to me. That picketing is illegal in residential areas and the area where emperor it lives. new fields. New hampshire is karaoke illegal. Their karaoke is prohibited. In from what i understand any business basically so few audit it would be public property. They would come. They would come at you with disorderly conduct ta. They would say catch off for everything all they would say. Excuse me ma'am. The neighbors have complained. And so therefore if you continue to sing through that amplified microphone. We will arrest you for disorderly conduct. How the heartland and that'll be a hard one to be deaf so parties are happening. What you had an update about the one hold on. Let me tell you a little bit more about this. One los angeles news station because again multiple parties were targeted in the la area. News station k. T. tv was on the scene on many of the parties that were broken up by the police. Based on footage most of the offenders appear to be in their late teens and early twenties. Who are at almost no risk. Yep got it over. Nine hundred people detained ninety arrested and or given citations and law enforcement announced. They recovered at least six guns. Because unlike new hampshire when you get arrested in california with a gun on you it don't go so well like here. You get back to you friday there. You probably go into prison. She's quote. i made it. And i post for two days detracting much from my wife. This is what happens. I pop up. I post something a day or two later. I'm bad for thirty days. I'm all right so you must be doing something right. A evidently not from their point of view though no but thanks for the amp or amp dot freetalklive dot com absolutely so good news for minero. Well relatively good news from harrow. Cheap cheap cheap right now is it. Yeah i mean it's actually. A lot of the coins have been just offering in race linked to hash has done very well and you're speaking relative to. Bitcoin aren't yeah. I'm talking about relative to bitcoin. Bitcoin cash has been tumbling tumbling. Tumbling dash has been tumbling. I suspected theorems the only one that has any chance of climb inc. Yeah theory actually has gained a little bit in in recent days and dash is now below. let's see four tenths of a percent of a bitcoin right now. The last two years obscene minero dasher. Minero minero is down below four tenths of a percent of a bitcoin and over the last two years. The price of a minero is down seventy percent compared to bitcoin. So let's rough too. Cheap definitely gonna get there if you actually care about privacy and having a currency that is actually usable as money. Minero is the one to go with when you look at the. Us dollar price. It's up up one hundred and eighty percent in the last two years compared to the dollar. We'll see. I prefer to look at it in terms of the dollar because at this point i think people should be escaping from the us usd into cryptocurrency escaping from bitcoin into better crypto currencies. That's good That's fantastic but most people have to. I escape the usd. I love minero. I think it's a great crypto. It's the i used it extensively at fork fest last year. It's the first one that is dark only meeting or shielded only meaning. Every transaction is a shielded transaction whereas other so-called privacy coins like z. Cash for instance ninety nine plus percent of the transactions on that network are public that you have to a lot of hoops or something to make your transactions private. It's not a lot of hoops. it's just you have to choose to make a transaction private and those people don't bother if you forget if you offer people the choice of doing something private then you're immediately going to get people saying well why why shield your transaction. If you're not doing anything illegal. So i would just rather not have the option there at all. We'll get private by default. The answer to your question is because they don't deserve to know right. Whatever it is. You're doing whether it's legal or not. No one in the government should know about it. And that's the nice thing about cash you know. Even though it's the dollar and the dollar sucks and any any Government currency is subject to inflation. And there's problems with it right. The nice thing about cash is that it is untraceable. Meaning that if i give you a stack of caches long as us do it. It's an anonymous transaction. Yep and so naro is the equivalent originally when potosi nocco came out with the bitcoin white paper which by the way i believe is today or yesterday or something. It was like this week. I believe is the twelfth anniversary of bitcoin. The twelfth birthday. Oh wow birthday. Bitcoin being being released to the world and bitcoin was called a what was it called appear peer to peer cash system or electron cash system. I believe is what it was was called. And that's what it is but it's not like cash in that. Bitcoin is traceable so minero is actually a more perfect a perfect perfect but it's more and improved. It's an improvement on the original. Bitcoin affect some people believe that manera was actually also programmed by toshi nakamoto or at the very least programs by someone who took on some similar mannerisms in the way that they they spoke. I want to believe that. Satory nakaboto made minero So i choose to sure. But there's no evidence to support it really. Have you done. Yeah and that's probably for the best. Whoever sortation akimoto isn't whoever made the narrow we should probably never have their identities indeed especially minero. Yeah but there is good news for minero Evidently this dark net website. I don't remember the name of it. The white house market. They have stopped taking bitcoin. And you can now only purchase goods and services on their website using minero. I am surprised it took this long. Honestly i just a high to find that there are still any dot net sites take bitcoin. Yeah right it's like hello. Why would you wanna with bitcoin when you can pay with minero on dark so for listeners. That don't know the dark net is. It's generally considered what's available on tour but there are some other anonymous networks. Like i two p and i think freenet is another one But towards the becky and so any marketplace that operates in under the cover of one of these anonomity shields is called a dark net market. Now usually they're known for selling drugs but there's other things for sale on their such as you know fake id's or hacking tools or other categories and some of these things aren't illegal or even shady. I'm sure if you really wanted to for whatever reason you could go on one of these sites sent by a recliner. I never looked for recliner. I haven't either. I don't know why anyone would want team but could you could. I did see there was one. I don't remember if it was silkroad or when it when it was because i've gone to a bunch of these sites over the years to into investigate them. Carl listrik investigation. And and i did find taryn. Luca's books -tarian books. Someone who i don't know taryn himself selling them or or what. Somebody was ellen books on their awesome. So yeah you can technically sell anything that anybody would want to buy. But yeah i. I don't know if this is newsworthy. Because white house market is the first market to actually do this. Where according to bitcoin dot com. They have dropped bitcoin payments and now accepts minero only the dark net marketplace administrators detailed. There was an issue with a payment processor blocking tour exit nodes but the full transition to manera was always planned. A number of crypto proponents have reported on on the dark net marketplace white house dropping these bitcoin payments in order to support manera which is also known as m r one individual on twitter wrote. Okay there's a saying the same thing news dot. Bitcoin dot com confirmed the change by visiting white house markets onion. Url nephew get too dark. Marketplace's here's a good way to do it. You can get get the tour browser bundle which is downloadable for phones. It's downloadable for laptops about that. Don't phone so really. I mean. I know the technology is there. I know as possible but your phone is spyware is perpetually spyware. That's a good point. I mean certainly we know the. Nsa has abilities to access certain things that make it hard to really have any privacy whatsoever. But i mean if you are going to be using the dark net. You can do it that way. It's probably better to to do it over toward well. I mean you can't get the cnet sorry sites if you don't use tour so it's like okay but i agree with you the safest way if you really want to go out there to get one of these Tour boot drives just tail. Yeah yeah that is absolutely the safest way. And then you've got a little a little flash drive you can plug into any computer boot from the flash drive in. It doesn't keep any logs. it doesn't keep any files. That's absolutely the best way to do it. I would say the second best way is to do it on a lennox system and everything else is dangerous like windows. Oh i would sell windows. I mean if you're on windows or the dark neck and on windows don't don't do anything illegal. Yeah 'cause windows also spyware yep. I mean it's in their terms of service at spyware. Yep absolutely but bitcoin payments are no longer being accepted here. And that's good news and if you don't want spyware then go with minero because i mean at this point. We can almost say that bitcoins. It destroys your privacy your financial privacy. Some really you know professional tools out there available now to do what they call chain nalysts where they are analyzing the blockchain where they can say. Oh award this. Bitcoin come from and then to put the wallet address the transaction in the in the system and then it just pulls up whatever info that they need to find out yeah because it is all public and eventually you know if you posted a bitcoin address to twitter at some point you know your bitcoins ended up in the hands of dot net marketplace or whatever. It's not going to be pretty good. They can trace it back all the way to the genesis block and again minero doesn't have that problem so good on the people at the white house market and it does say here. That white house market is the only dark net market. That has manera so kudos to them for that. I hope it helped him stay alive absolutely. That's it for us tonight. We'll be back tomorrow night. And of course the regular season is in the history books for the nfl and the segment is called inside the game and nobody better to talk about inside professional football then the super bowl winning coach brian billick when he was with the baltimore ravens. And i have to ask you about the sunday night. Game ask game on the regular schedule between washington football club and also the philadelphia eagles. A lot of talk about what was done there by eagles. Coach doug peterson. Late in that ballgame. Replacing jalen hurts for nate. Sud failed your thoughts on it from a coaching standpoint. I know there's been a lot of talk about it and certainly those. It felt like that was was a competitive manage. Those new york obviously not real thrilled about it in that they feel like it costs them a playoff spot but in the end of the day when you look at the game. Yeah jalen hurts. Ran around did some things with his legs. But he was seven of twenty throwing the ball wasn't converting with his arm on third down. I gotta believe the coach. Peterson just felt like he needed something. Different in a very closely fought game to go in and try to get a spark or try to change what they were doing. Authencity it is interesting. It's gonna create obviously in the off season when you talk about this incident. How jalen hearst played the cap money that his own carson wentz. I i just don't know how philadelphia is going to deal with the cap hit if they should try to trade or cut carson wentz This is this is sizing up to just a monumental headache for the philadelphia eagles in the off season going into next year. You know one of the things. I think about as we always talk about losing the locker room and i've got to believe off of reactions that i've seen from eagles players that they were just so unhappy. That apparently was a couple of confrontations over with coaching staff. I mean i would think that he has lost. That team's confidence. Well that could be the case and it's just going to get worse because if indeed the locker room is split of that and they don't see it that way and the players the players see what it what it is and depending upon the relationship with carson wentz Jalen hurts very dynamic individual coming into it. They obviously obviously gave them a spark. The last month of the season something they hadn't had in philadelphia. You're right this is gonna be a tough one for for. Doug peterson for mr laurie. The owner for high rose the general manager to get this team back and get them believing because they now have an office off season to kinda get healthy and put the pieces back together but this quarterback controversy in the way it was handled is going to be something for them to handle. All the way leading into next season and continuity is really important brian. And yet you've got a guy that comes into the game late in the game. It's on the line. Nate sued failed. Who hasn't thrown a pass since two thousand eighteen and he had some real problems to getting started. I mean he fumbled the ball. Bad passes that sort of thing i mean. I don't see that. That is everything. I i've never heard of before in. Nfl competition. yeah and and the fact that he did play supposedly it had did not have. It's not like he. He put carcinogens back. In the game or more veteran that when ryan fitzpatrick goes back in the game for to attack a via low at miami that you know there's a reason for that and you're able to negotiate it going forward so yes this is gonna be a tough one for philadelphia to negotiate all the way through the offseason and of course after the regular season you have black monday and three more head coaches. Join the ranks of those fired. The chargers anthony lynn. Doug marrone jacksonville in the jets. Adam gays was. Let go as well joining bill. O'brien at houston dan. Quinn atlanta and the lions matt patricia. When you take a look at those openings at all those teams which one appears to be the most appealing to coach that might want to have a head job or or wants to change teams. Well we're always asked that this time of year and what's interesting this year first. Nfl jobs hard to come by. Okay so every job is a good job. But you usually simple okay. What's the quarterback situation. How readily can i fix it. Because that's the way your organization's going to go. And when you look at these clubs some interesting i mean. There's some good quarterbacks. You look at detroit in matthew stafford shawn watson one of the great really young quarterbacks in the game with the texas nat ryan With the falcons. I mean these. These are market. Quarterbacks that sell could certainly play Anthony land in with the chargers now with this young a justice. Herbert it's really really looks. Good and you're looking at both the jets and the jaguars with the first and second pick with three very interesting quarterback prospects coming out of the college game. They're gonna have lots of options. Trevor lawrence from clemson justin fields from ohio state. And the young man. Zack wilson from byu. So this is going to be an interesting there. What might trying to say as all the jobs are going to look good. Because you're going to have options at the quarterback position. How hard is it to evaluate. What a coach did this season. I know you've got the record that always jumps out at you but when you give the dynamics of what the season was like with cova limited -tunities in preseason and exhibition games. In everything i mean. Is it really fair to evaluate are. Just use that record as the lone evaluator for firing coach. Yeah it's not fair but that's the nfl and it's going to be done anyway. You're right. I mean when you look at it you kind of think. Well every coach ought to get a mulligan here. But we saw it with three firings during the season both in in in detroit and houston and atlanta And then after the season's over anthony anthony land again. They found a good young quarterback and justin herbert but they had what seven seven games that they lost after leading. That's just gonna leave a mock management's not going to let that happen and in jacksonville doug marrone who's has struggled. The last few years part of the equation. I know is that particularly has jacksonville is going to have to do to go. Get a new quarterback. If you're gonna do that you pretty much have to get a new coach because otherwise you can't get out of sync if it's a coach. Spend there for awhile and you get the rookie. And he has a typical rookie year. Then you fire him now. The rookie has to make a new adjustment So that was that was the one that was probably the most predictable in that. They're going to new direction at the quarterback position so they did the same thing at the coaching position. Let's talk about the wild card weekend. Saturday tree of games. You've got the number two seeded bills against the number seventy colts. Rams and the seahawks will square off again. This will be up at seattle. And also the buccaneers going up against washington. The late game. That'll be on saturday. How do you see those three indianapolis and buffalo game is maybe the most intriguing buffalo's just such a tremendous story. Josh allens playing as well as any quarterback has played in a long time in. This guy is special. The defense is getting better and indianapolis. This is a sneaky good team. They're running the ball better now. Playing really good defense. Philip rivers is played as well as i've seen so this is maybe the most intriguing matchup for me for the rams and seattle. They know each other very well. the rams are having to play with the backup quarterback you would think this would be a seattle all the way with russell wilson at home. Even though there's not gonna be the home crowd and tampa washington washington's a great story in the way they've gotten here i think tampa matches up very well with washington at defense is very very good but alex smith quarterback and the defense against tampa bay. They're not a particular vertical team or tampa bay with that group of godwin and evans. If he doesn't eat black you now get In tonio brown i think tampa matches up very well with the redskins. Let's talk about the sunday games. That's the ravens who are number five seed against the number four seed the titans and then you've got the bears against the saints. The saints are a number two seats and the browns which are still having lots of problems with kovin in their organization. Going up against the number. Three seed the steelers. What do you think yeah interesting particularly with the browns. Kevin stefanski the head coach. A couple of other coaches and some and some players you know this is what the league was worried about. They were able to negotiate that during the course of the season by postal postponing. some games. Moving some things around. We can't do that with the playoffs So the the the browns are going to interesting challenge to go in without their head coach. I held the involved during the week. and crafting the game plan but did not have that presence on the sideline for the biggest thing is for baker. Mayfield did not have that voice in his head. Now that that's going to change in terms of the play calling This is a lot for cleveland and pittsburgh they've arrested ben rothlisberger They should hold on pretty well at home Chicago new orleans may be the best team in the nfc. Their complete drew brees seems to have gotten back into rhythm after having been on the sideline Again they're complete team chicago loss to good green bay team But still made the playoffs. They they Interesting story mitchell trubisky. Lots going to fall on his shoulders going to be alive for him to keep up and keep pace with drew. Brees new orleans saints and baltimore tennessee. I think baltimore's the best team in the nfl right now. Top to bottom offense defense you throw in the special teams was sam. Cooke and justin tucker No one has as complete a package as more right now with no disrespect Disrespected to kansas city. But i think baltimore's moore's complete team the one team that can really challenge them. Would be the tennessee titans with derrick henry as they did the last two times they played them beat them in the playoffs last year. Surprisingly and this year beat them as well. Why because henry man the ball and one hundred thirty three yards rushing this year almost two hundred yards on last year. What does that do it. Controls the clock time of possession doesn't allow that offense to get cranked up. But i think baltimore's playing at such a high level right now. They've overcome the adversity that they didn't have to last year. They kinda cruised into the playoffs. And maybe a little overconfident. This is a battle tested team. I think baltimore is going to be in great shape to be tennessee and twenty seconds. Derrick henry two hundred and fifty yards over two thousand yards. How impressed as a coach. Would you be looking at those numbers. I think he's the most dynamic and dominant player in the nfl today in the way he can impact the game and i know that sang a lot with aaron rodgers playing padma home and we just talked about josh allen but his ability when they get the thank cranked up He's a capable of making big. Plays davis and brown Their complete team but derrick henry. He's the real deal. Brian billick on inside the game on sports byline. Always nice to catch up with bob kendrick because he is the president of the negro leagues museum is the head. Negro leagues historian. And that museum. If you're ever in kansas city i urge you to stop by and take it in and of course i wanted to have bob on because the announcement was made by major league baseball that they finally decided to include the statistics from negro league baseball along with the major league baseball statistics. And i saw a quote. Bob that said by the time this stuff gets implemented and integrated with the regular major league data. The numbers will be a little bit different more complete. And i think that's what we needed to have in baseball as well. What was your reaction to the announcement by major league baseball. It was exciting. It really rise. And although i'll be honest rodney. It wasn't my initial excitement. When i first when i first caught wind of this because i was like a lotta people. I didn't even know about this. Nineteen sixty nine commission. That had blatantly disregarded the negro leagues as exactly what it is a major league and so someone wrote about it and then it started to kind of pick up some traction and there was these questions swirling around about it and with it reached me and the thought that major league baseball in some way shape form the validating the players from the negro leagues and i took a little offensive that initially because i knew so many of these players. S you did you. You know how proud they were. They knew how good they were. And they know how good their legalize and so they never thought validation from anyone and that was kinda my position. But then i had to be really look outside of myself and start to think about what this man from a historical perspective even beyond the numbers and i know people will be enamored with staff. Because that's baseball but for me the stats are only contextual. You never be able to reduce the negro league suggested pistol data and so when i started to look at it for its historical marriage is historical significance. It really dawned on me. Just how big this could be. And then as major league baseball was going through the process of making this decision. They clue me in on what was going on. And so i had to prepare. You know knowing that this was going to happen and so but it was still mad. If it's such a tremendously proud for me. All of the negro leagues baseball museum. And honestly i think all of us who called the negro leagues home in some way shape form of fashion. What does this do as far as telling the story of baseball overall in your mind bob. Well it helps remind people of just how great these leagues were the negro leagues and how courageous these athletes who as i like to say forced a glorious history in the midst of an inglorious time in american history and i do think ron that it makes the work that we do here in kansas city at the negro leagues baseball museum. That much more meaningful. Because i don't want. I don't want to see happen. Is that twenty thirty years from now. A new baseball fan will look at these statistics and see this integration of all these players there and think that it was that way all the time. It is important that they understand that. These leagues were segregated. At one point in time it was bad. No necessarily desire of those black players that they weren't included in the major leagues and so they did do create their league and this league became a great league. And i don't want that to be lost but added helps paint a greater picture a higher profile for what the negro leagues represented the courageous owners. Who financed these teams and the players. Who played against the backdrop of american segregation. This is quite significant. I've been asked by a number of people with these numbers when they're added to the major league baseball numbers. Will they change any of the records. Can you clarify that a little bit. I don't know how they're going to be integrated. We're speculating like everybody else. Along these lines but you would think that that would be some impact. I don't know if it'll be A tremendous they all tremendously but we can kind of played at what if gag. You know because now. Josh gibson's epic nineteen forty-three season rod when he hit and astounding four forty. One that's likely now. The greatest single season batting average in baseball history. If they are incorporated in that manner now his home run totals. Maybe diminish som- because now you're only looking at league games and legal paid much shorter season then the major leagues. But you know you gotta hold out of smart people who can likely take all the at bats and figure out okay. Well if he places the mini games over x. men a game he would hit these many home runs. But that's what. I was really smart. People was not very good in probability. Statistics some on the net after them. So you'll see a little bit of a teeter totter on what these records might mean. So now it's already wilson. The last guy hit four hundred. He hit four hundred. Nineteen forty eight it will. It may no longer be ted. Williams and with the monarchs now get credit for starting night baseball in nineteen thirty as opposed to the cincinnati reds and nineteen thirty five. So it's a lot of what if as we look at what might happen with the integration of these statistics and facts that stem from the negar leagues as well. Yeah my point out. Only the statistics from official negro league games will be counted by. Mlb not any ex- exhibitions. You know. I've had the honor of interviewing many of the negro league players. The that are still living and the one thing i have come away with when i reflect back on my collection of interviews with them is one the pride that they took and playing baseball the way they played and also the fact that they're i'm sure happy whether they're living or not that finally this was done. It validates their lives and their careers. Do what it does is like. I say it validates their accomplishments right and historical context and those families. Who many of them i communicated with last week when this announcement was made you're right they are bristling with pride. They are so elated that their loved ones. Many of them who have long been come are being remembered and that also resonated with me as well and so. yeah. I tip my cap to commission commissioner. Manfred for making this move. 'cause they didn't have to do anything you know this little footnote in baseball history kind of embedded and they're folk knew about this. You know unless you were a major historian of major league. Baseball probably didn't even know that commission ever existed And that is rule had been kind of implementing or this blatant mission of the negro leagues had occurred and major league baseball particularly in this year the hundredth anniversary of the birth of the negro leagues. Which we've been celebrating year long. You know in spite of corona virus. is significant and it was the perfect way to tap off. What has been an amazing centennial. Celebration of the negro leagues. We have two and a half minutes. Left you know the statistics better than anybody else when it comes to the negro leagues. What are some of the other statistics. People may not know about that. You'd like to share with people. Well i it is really going to be interesting because we look at it from the standpoint of all the games they play you know honestly had it been me. I would have taken all the games that we had information on those players. You know not just limited to league as because again. It was no fault of their own that they could play in the major leagues. And so the whatever it might be an eighty game season is not going to give you a clear. Cut picture of how great these players were is not going to tell you that jail wilkinson who owned the kansas city monarchs would literally higher satchel out to other teams the great satchel page and he paid got paid he would fly. Go play with these teams and bring it back to play with the monarch. It's tell you that you know what i'm saying so yeah it won't give you a true picture of satchels greatness but it will give him some perspective. What i think will happen players like the great monte irvin who had a long career in the leagues who then moved over to the major leagues. Well he had a lifetime batting average with the giants of to ninety three which is pretty doggone good considering he was thirty years old when he got there so he was a very good player when he got to the giant but it was a great player for the newark eagles and so when you incorporate his negro league numbers his home run totals his batting average. Now will likely be somewhere between three ten three fifteen and you know how we look at three hundred. We just look at them differently than we do to ninety three. You know we all have a point but we look at the difference and so. I'm happy that if that is indeed the case that monte now becomes a career three hundred light combinator a player like minoso. We'll likely see him move up in several different categories and made it makes us hall of fame case even better. Now you know so. Those are kind of things that in back of my mind and again. This is me not fully understanding how these numbers are going to be integrated but again. That was that. I thought about well. I wanna thank you very much for sharing those thoughts. I find it fascinating as i always have about the negro leagues in about a year. History with them as well take care my friend. Happy holidays ron. Thank you bob. Roger wehrli joins us on sports byline inducted into the nfl football hall of fame after a fine fourteen year career all with the saint louis cardinals over fourteen years seven times. He went to the pro bowl. He played his college football at the university of missouri and he has also been elected to the college football hall of fame. I was reading a quote from you which you said. This is kind of the capper to your career. The quote was something like this puts a cap on and it's a dream come true. Can you put it into words for me. Roger about what it actually does mean to a player to know that they're going into their sports hall of fame. Well it is. You know it's just a something is i said you know a dream come true and that that's really what it is you know in fact even more than a dream because i really You know when you when you grow up and watch sports you're playing it and you're involved in it and Looking ahead is something that i just really never did but It just kind of came to me through college and got the opportunity to be drafted by the cardinals. And i just enjoy the moment all the way through. And then Didn't really think about at the time. Anything like the hall of fame or something and then you know the last few years i've been on the ballot and and it's come down to the to the final vote You know it's something that you you dream of. But really i thought it'd probably pass me by because this was the last year that i was eligible without going into the seniors division and then all of a sudden in in the last year that maleable it happens and and you know it's just it just really takes you by surprise and and makes you very humbled to see that you're in there with the guys that You know you you've seen play and and played against it you know just the greats of the game and you know i'm just Just very thankful that had happened. And i they have been on cloud nine and haven't come down yet. You played over a fourteen year career which is actually over three different decades the end of the sixties through the seventies and into the early eighties. There are a lot of people who probably don't know how football was played back then in a different era almost at a said tell everybody how the game was rule. Wise in what you couldn't couldn't do at that time well. The backs were allowed to do a little more to the receivers back. Then you know they. They've brought in some rules to protect the receivers and which obviously Opens up the passing game a little bit more We were able to bump the receivers down the field as long as they were between us. And the and the quarterback nowadays. They can't do that. After they're off the vine a scrimmage five yards so they'll sell those things have changed other than that the that the battle between the defensive back in the receiver is is pretty much the same. I think you know it's It's just a one on one battle You know you have to try to win. And roger i really feel that you and the other athletes have played during that particular time. We're what i would call complete athletes. And what i mean by that is if you take a look at the nfl today. You've had third-down substitution. You've got nickel packages dime packages. You guys were pretty much. You know you just played right through at all whether the theme was gonna run on this particular play or pass on it. Yeah we had to obviously yeah We followed the the wide receivers around whether they whichever side the slot they were on and and usually against the one of the top receivers of the team certainly and and We had we had somewhat Some nickel coverages would bring in An extra defensive back against especially some of those spreads formations that the dallas cowboys used in a few of those that were a little more kinda the forerunners of of the spread. Offense is that they run today but You know the game is is the same and in in different at both at the same time Certainly certainly it's more wide open game. I probably mostly because of the real changes. Dan devine recruited you to play at mizzou. And i got to know dan when he was the coach of the green bay packers and we had some very interesting as i was with. Cbs at that time. I'd go in. And i have a chance to talk to him as we prepared for the game and every i always thought he was a gentleman. Can you talk a little bit about him. Why did you end up mizzou. What was it that he sold you on roger that got you to go to the zoo. Well i they say. He recruited me with a milkshake in a movie. That's about right. I came from. I'm from missouri. So i grew up here and and really from a very small school. We only had twenty eight in my graduating class in high school. So you know. I wasn't highly recruited at all. I was re. I was recruited in basketball and football from northwest missouri. State and really missouri was the only Major college that looked at me and offered me football scholarships so that was it wasn't like he had he had to recruit me very hard. I would certainly wanting to go there because it was my home state school. And and Thought it was a great opportunity for me and certainly glad that. They offered me scholarships because It it meant a lot to me. What was the movie. i don't even remember it. Was dan devine in the sixties. Course had a great tradition here missouri of winning football. He was he was the winningest coach in college. Football and a decade and sixty so and in all here in missouri and that was just You know to join that program and be a part of that was just a thrill and You know just a fun experience. And i was able to help with that. The in some sixty six through sixty eight season and you know we ended up going against alabama and the gator bowl my senior year and winning that game so just a a great Experience being here at the university of missouri after those four years at mizzou nineteen sixty nine. The cardinals make you their first round draft choice. And i always assume that it's a it's a plus in a minus to play for a team. That's almost a homegrown hometown. Type of team. What was that experience like for you. Well happy to be here. You know obviously someplace close. Some parents. Followed me to mizzou and win. Watch most every missouri football game home and away and You know by by being battered by the cardinals and staying here in my home state. I had a lot of fans and and knew a lot of people and of course my again my parents were able to come and watch almost all the home. Games here in In saint louis so so that was really nice. You know to look back on and and have that opportunity was certain. I was certainly fortunate. Obviously you know. I joined the team. That has larry wilson. Who was you know. Just an idle You know as the safety and being able to play with him for four years. When i first came in the league was it was a great experience and and Certainly enjoyed my time here saying look at that time the saint louis cardinals were in the nfc east. I was a young sports castro in washington. Dc times. I would travel and cover the games. The redskins were playing. And so i do remember watching you in the early part of my broadcasting career and and and everything but that nfc east. I don't know how to describe it. You had the redskins you had the giants you had the eagles you had the cardinals and you had the dallas cowboys. I mean that was one heck of a division. It really was very tough division in. Knock down drag out fights every year with all those teams and You know it seemed like every year. Dallas was the america's team at that time that's what they were called and they were. They had a great great bunch of players. And you know they were the team that we always felt. We had the beat if we wanted to to go anywhere in the division and get into the playoffs and and We had some real good luck against them at at different times. And and then especially in the mid seven. He's a seventy four seventy five seventy six when the cardinals had really put together a good team under coach. Don coryell Just a pleasure to play in that era here in saint louis because it wasn't a good time and and and we had some great football just We always sad that we weren't able to continue that Through the late seventies in keep coryell here for a while longer but he went to san diego and did well out there with them. But the in saint louis kinda went into rebuilding program so we kind of lost that momentum that we had a new member of the nfl hall of fame fourteen year career with saint. Louis cardinals. Roger wehrli is with us here on sports byline. They always called roger staubach of course comeback. The captain comeback. What was it that he presented as far as the problem is a quarterback that maybe you didn't see weaken and week out with other teams. Well he was such a great all around athlete. You know. in a smart player he He obviously was a great passer. And and as i say the cowboys had a wonderful team with a lot of talent on it but It's you come down to the end of the game. And if roger couldn't find a receiver open you know. He had the athletic ability that he could just somehow get loose and and run for the first down or scramble a little bit back out in out in the flat to make it i and it was just so hard To to hold him you know on third down situations that they really had to have it because he has such great athletic ability. I it was also at that time. If i remember correctly roger that the nfc had some pretty good receivers across that entire division. We're we're the ones that really gave you the most challenge. Well you know several. When i first came in the league i think charlie taylor right out was it was one of the toughest guy isn't in great receiver. You know good hands. Speeding mood Harold carmichael was a unique receive. You know he had. He had real good speed. Any was six foot nine. You know philadelphia and.
