Suit of clothes made no effort to look at me when i checked my glasses. Try this wanna go on drinking. I don't you call. The police followed me here to have a talk and find out. What's what now's the time to talk pal. This thing isn't the best conversation piece in the world. Leave me alone. Call me and you have something going for you here. This gun has been fired. You have another one no no dollar. I didn't kill dr shepherd. I wanted to more than anything in the world but i didn't kill i look i want some facts. So let's start with last night. Well were you when shepherd was shot. I don't know where i was. I don't even know what time it was. Shahar let's start with yesterday morning. You slugged me out of the house jumped in a car and what happened. Gonna take it from there. I drove dr shepherds office. I was going to have it. It was breaking up my home or go on. It just seem no. I parked on street from his office. And then i some jump in his car. And i followed him. Came back over here. I knew my wife must have called him to take care of you. What happened then. I went over to the park and and try to figure things out. You don't know what i've been through this past year right. Go on go on then. I went to a bar. I was hungry. I hadn't eaten all day. Got a couple of sandwiches. I had some drinks. I don't know how many anyhow them the more i drank more hopeless everything looked. Did you call shepherd. Yeah i call him from the bar any idea what time it was must have been around five or six. What difference does it all make. I'm cooked and you know on your your call shepherd. Then what did you do. I told him. I wanted to talk to him about everything that had happened. I told him where to meet me. You mean you want dr shepherd to come down on meet you so you could kill him. I did have that in my mind. I don on the phone. He sounded so common. Said we could talk it out. Straighten it out like gentlemen. Did you talk to him. no. I didn't see him at all. I waited an hour and he never showed up. I called his office back in the answering service that everyone had gone out for the day. And i didn't know what to do. I got back in my car and turned on the radio. And that's where i heard. I was wanted for murder dollar. I didn't do it i swear. I didn't. i had reason enough. But i didn't. I knew all about others but this was siri. Wait a minute. What are these polling. Always head other friends friends. I guess. I don't guess. I love her anymore. I don't know. I don't think she ever loved me leave. I needed her. I needed her more than anything this last year. So and at times i did love her. The way it once was. And i found out what was going. On between her and sheppard. She wanted a divorce. I wouldn't give her a divorce. If i had let her and shepherd get away with it would have been too much to take to. This doesn't make sense even though you didn't love her and she didn't love you. You wouldn't stand still for a divorce action. It sounds stupid. I told you i needed her. So much. this last year or so so must doesn't make any sense forbes. Why did you let her go. She knew she didn't have to divorce me. She knew it wouldn't be too long. Shepherd gave me a year and other doctor in baltimore. Eighteen months kimia on just see she would have been free. They could've waited. Until i was dead at least just that until i was bed. Latitude mr dollar go ahead. It's an old story terribly. Old and corny. I applied for a job is dr shepherds nurse. Five years ago and i fell in love with him that very day. I've loved him every day from that time on i go on. I don't know when it was when you started up with mrs forbes. I knew she was trying to get a divorce. I knew mr forbes wouldn't stand for then one day last week i guess it was. I heard dr talking to her on the phone. He said there's a way to get rid of him. I knew he was talking about getting rid of mr forbes so they discussed the part about shepherd getting forbes to threaten his life in front of witnesses so he could shoot him down when the time came. I didn't know that until yesterday morning show. It seems you came to see dr and then you laugh. Dial overheard him on. The phone again. Called up mr forbes and said mr dollar was coming over to talk about the divorce action forbes would be upset enough to attack me that it was very good about anticipating what people would do and given situations even me. I was in the office when mr forbes call last night i saw dr gun in his cope. I knew it was going down to meet mr forbes shooting so i followed him he was walking around in the dark looking mr forbes with a gun in his hand and up to him and pleaded with him not to be crazy and mrs forbes wasn't worth and he said he was going to kill me to struggled off. I don't know how many times i can help you. You didn't mean to kill him. He meant to shoot you on all these other details. Come out the most they can charge you with a second degree justifiable manslaughter. You're nice that. I can't get off. I guess the police haven't found it yet. We know killed. The tradition of talked live last week. There were some tech issues to work out with mark and stuff like that and then we ended up having a weird internet issue. That came out of nowhere. But anyway with you tonight. It's aria angie and bonnie and welcome. Angie for the first time to the yes music studio i love it thank you. I'm happy with it. It's been a lot of work but it's been enjoyable work so it's hard to be upset about something that you get know how good at it. I need to fix right now. If one of you can talk well. I think that it looks really nice. Inherits you and i like looking at the inside of the computer. Changing colors thank you. That is a minor touch at that person echo in my headphones and i don't know if it's just me now i hear it's not just you just when you talk though it kind of thing is just when you talk unless i'm wrong. It is just when i talk. It doesn't seem to be a feedback. I probably have something set up incorrectly and be mix. And that's probably what's doing it because don't hear it when bonnie's talking well tonight we're going to be filled with the spirit of them. Do ceus undo zia's would be more helpful. Did fix it okay. So i was corrected. It was remixed issue. Who was or what it was. Should you tell everyone what it is. I'm dizzy in satanic. Mythology is the demon of music for whatever that's worth i mean obviously is just mythology and that rattling is driving me crazy but anyway zero is the demon of music and i don't know beyond that fix the echoing just now but didn't fix the rattling note. The rattling is a different issue. That's new it wasn't happening yesterday. But i'll fix it at the break and i still feel like there's a bit of an echo. I know things are driving me crazy. But i'm just going to big time being. Yeah so anyway bunny. Tell us what you brought to you by. I've seen this a lot on social media. People arguing left and right about whether or not kink belongs at pride yes. I don't have much of an opinion. But i've also seen it discuss lot. The time of the article from insider is the debate over kink prior divides the internet but the king community has been part of queer protests in celebration since stonewall the like clockwork two weeks. Nowhere they say what. What do they mean kink. Means just like any kind of without being graphic. obviously deviant sexual act. maybe just like outside of the norm. Yeah without being graphic. It's something like maybe something that most people wouldn't be into sexually but some people find sexually arousing they describe this as keenness. Yes okay you can have a king for a specific thing or you can just be kinky altogether trying all kinds of different stuff okay. Now i'm confused about why this would kaz kink isn't a sexual orientation right. So i'm confused. Why there's any discussion at all about whether or not kink belongs at pride well just from going to some pride parades i would have to say that There's a lot of like you know like people having Over at least sexualize outfits and maybe Things like wearing bondage outfits and stuff like that and lots of like phallic shaped things is allowed on the radio. Sure people like say pretty innocuous description yeah people could sell like phallic shaped lollipops or something like that. And i noticed that the lgbt pride thing as a whole these parades and all of that they are extremely life. And i don't know if that's really helping or hurting. But i don't i don't wanna i don't wanna parade around like that. I don't understand why they do well. I just to get this out there before because it's probably gonna be longer discussion. I'm a straight says. Female white has anything to do with pride. And i've been to multiple pride parades just because they're the most fun time you can have at a bar like any time of the year and i've never notice anybody that i was hanging out with have any problems with that. I've taken lots of like phallic shaped shots and things like that with my friends and nobody has ever seen to how to vote problem with it. But what i see on the internet of people's issue they have with it. Is that like you're turning something that should be about love into something that is about sex and i can see it both ways. I don't know that they're necessarily has to be a distinction between the two things. But i would say definitely exclusionary of them to act like one. Let that sex without love is somehow inferior sex with love right. We're just love and general. I understand that the whole lgbtq thing is about who you're attracted to and who you're sexually interested in all of that but by the definition so i'll be right. Yeah and some people just are not out there. This was also a conversation that melanie marken. Lee had i think on sunday listened to part of and i was shocked that it happened on a night when i was in here. Because i'm one of those people that has absolutely no interest in being in a relationship. I know lots of people like that and I don't see why that means that you couldn't celebrate pride and i'm not saying that is a kink. I'm just saying there are some people who are out there celebrating pride but not celery bringing because of love. Sorry i i have to revisit this you said that you are not interested in relationship is not something that you look for that you long for like companionship. Correct what why do you think that is what makes you not want someone with here. I'm too busy for that crap. You know okay but if you found someone that was an equal or better that can help you with things that you're busy with or that you had something in common. Do you think it would be nice to have someone there with you to hang out with or to be intimate with Sure it's not that. I'm opposed to having a relationship. It just isn't something. I'm seeking and the initial phases of a relationship one way or the other art enormous time sink may can be. Yeah and i mean you've got to get to that point where you're comfortable enough with them where they can just hang out while you work or whatever or help you with your work or any of that. I'm a busy person to me is just. I don't have the time to invest in a relationship. Okay but if it came along and it was the right person or something of that nature. Then you wouldn't be opposed to it. Sure okay. I thought you were saying like nope. Don't want to be in relationship. It's not my thing. I don't want to put in the work that a relationship typically requires but does not that. I don't necessarily want to be in one. I just don't want to put in the word. Okay that makes a lot more sense. I mean it could be that someone could come along. Hey yeah. I don't wanna put in the work either but and we you know we connected. Work isn't necessarily that. Would be great. Does seem very likely though possible. Anything is possible. So how did this start. Is there anything about the article about how this rich did it. Because i don't remember it being an issue last year or the year before or any other time Well let's get into the article. It starts off like clockwork. The weeks ahead of this year's pride sauna their online debate over whether kink in this sense meaning people wearing leather harnesses puppy hoods leashes and fetish. Items has a place that events meant to celebrate. Lgbtq people in identity discourse self revolves around whether kink apparel and paraphernalia render the Space unsafe for minors or not. Inconsequentially involve observers. Well i i could understand why conservative parents would be sort of would have trepidation about letting their exposing their kids to lgbt pride. What have a dude and a puppy mask being led around by a leash but at the same time. It's like there's nothing overtly sexual about that. I mean it's not like they're having sex as they walk down the street. It's just a weird thing that you have to explain to your kid. And i don't know that that's going to really cause any problems for the child long-term but they're going to have their eyes are going to be open and there were wonder. Hey my parents. I've never seen this before. What's wrong with these people or they're gonna have my kids for instance they're going to have a ton of questions like wow mom. What does that can. I get one. Who's not be like. Oh goodness well. There's nothing wrong with question. No not at all but a conservative perry if their kid ask them questions of course they're gonna be uncomfortable themselves. Sure because they don't want to face the question exactly because that's excess is an uncomfortable topic for most parents. But it's a real issue that kids need to discuss with their parents. They learn what they learn from youtube and school which is not good. I sat down a few yesterday my days kind of blurred together because they start at nine in the morning they end at like five in the morning but at some point in the last few days i started working on new overlays for our twitch. And eli beats. Pete's basically because here we stream in ten eighty versus the other studio which streams seven twenty so just taken the the overlays. They're applying them here. It works and that's what i ended up doing. Because i didn't get some information i needed in time but i really we would. Have you know ten eighty. She talk live. Overlays there but i ended up doing that burst and so had to jerry rig some things together but i'm gonna make a she talk live overlay eventually. I'm sorry i it's just a matter of getting around to actually doing it. When there's all sorts of stuff that needs to be replaced beforehand like tubes in the preempts stuff. Like that and microphones. That microcode actually just arrived today. Yeah i thought you are missing a microphone. Recently i wasn't using a microphone but the piece of equipment that this microphone was initially attached to wasn't up to the task. So i was missing the thing that made the microphone. Sound half decent gotcha. so anyway we're talking about kink at pride and whether or not it belongs to everybody you have this article so they offer any sort of arguments one way or the other well. This tweet that they show somebody arguing for kinky pride. it's from southern homo. He says no kinky pride they say. But i couldn't help but wonder how much of ourselves are we willing to dilute to gain acceptance in a society that already Privileges the banality of hetero. Norma norman Headed were hetero normativity That sounded like a whole lot of buzzwords. It did and also the thing i would like to say about. That is just not everybody who wants to celebrate. Pride necessarily thinks they're kinky like whether they don't have to be so i mean but even if you're not getting or anything like that there are still kinky people still normal average show sexual person that is kinky yep and then there's all kinds of people who don't think there can case so anyways i was just saying it seems like he's saying that like being kinky as part of being not hetero normative. I dunno so. Let's go on with the article. Kink is an umbrella. Term referring to a specific sexual desires people have which can encompass a range of preferences from dirty talk in spanking media some pup play and more king communities dirty talking. I was thinking as exactly what i was thinking. Really yeah i was like start off that way. King communities are very visible at pride though. People of all sexualities can be into kink. The controversy over whether kinks should be allowed. Pride is merely the latest in a line of questions about who is considered a part of the queer community and who gets to participate in ostensibly queer spaces. I've never gotten anybody told me that. I shouldn't be allowed at pride because i'm straight i've never had. Anyone kicked me out of anything where i used to go to the gay bar. The gay club dance club all the time and it was my favorite place. I've never been to a lgbtq club or bar or whatever where they kick someone out per not be me. Neither they were weird. Seems more like internet argument. Type thing. Yeah i would never happen. So he's like straight girls gig is in a few as ends at like the gay clubs is used to. That's exactly how was. Yeah i mean how would they even know whether or not you were gay or straight anyway. True i mean. Well i mean i when i used to go. People used to try to pick you up whatever and you said. Now i'm uninsured. Or i would go with michael and they'd be like oh you're with him. I blake yeah but you know dance with them and have fun. I mean they were. They were a lot of fun. That was always an for me. Because i had a best friend that was like this with. We had the same birthday and we did everything together. And people always thought we were straight couple and we weren't going to be able to pick up any guys. If everybody thought we restrict couple annoying she was a girl no he was a boy. He was a boy. Oh okay so. We walked around like a couple. Oh yeah he was gay. And i'm straight so nobody's gonna approach us looking like a couple of super always like stays six feet away from me. That's pretty funny. I love that it was your birthday right happy birthday. Oh thank you. I was six and i knew that but i forgot it. 'cause june seventh is actually my sister's birthday. Now that's crazy. I remember. I remember did too because i actually told everybody in the car. Oh it's bonny's birthday today. We need to tell her happy birthday. And then i kept driving. That's how it went. Well thanks apricot. Happy birthday thanks. So the arguments here are that. I don't understand where the straight stuff came in at. I have my own interpretation of these. Straight exclusionary nature of lgbtq. Because if you were to go to an lgbtq pride parade you wouldn't be going there as a straight person right. You'd be going there as an ally. You're not allowed to just be straight. You're either at ally or your homophobic so the actual sexual identity of a heterosexual person is determined by their relationship to the eligibility community. Not the fact that they're straight if you're straight and you're friendly with people then you're an ally if you're straight and you're not that you're homophobic or transphobic or whatever it's a screwed up way of defining everyone in in their paradigm there's no s in the upper bet soup that they created and there never will be. They don't accept heterosexuality as ballots sexual identity. You can be an ally but you can't just be strict I'd never heard that. I didn't know that i've never heard anyone else say it. Yeah that's my take on. It should be just straightforward and call themselves. Eps everyone straight people that would be more honest and as a lot shorter. The lgbtq. A p plus. Yes i think that A lot of is internet conversations because the thing is like almost like ninety percent of my friends are gay guys and in texas and just spent most of my time at like concerts and clubs in southwest gay guys. 'cause straight bars are just not fun. I don't like getting hit on at a bar. Rather somebody in a normal setting had on me I wanted to stance and listen to good music. Not like arm beer. Whatever anyways So i've never had any kind of issue that in person but i think that it would be something. Somebody would probably say to me if i was online talking about gay issues. I'm sure somebody who was anonymous. You know would say something like that but never in real life. I don't know. I get called a bigot. At a transphobic homophobic with with shocking regularity especially on social media is just absurd how people interpret the world. Are people do people say that to you when you go out or do you. Does anybody say anything. Or i wonder like if people actually had the kahuna actually say something if they felt something no of course not do people look at you. Like do they just do they. G get looks or anything. Like hearing keen. Yeah not really because you live here. No one thinks anything about it when they see me anymore. There was a time when. I've been living here for like three months. Where there was some weirdness. But since then i mean it's kind of hard to miss me. Yeah been running around here for two and a half to three so everyone has seen me at this point and knows that. Hey there's a six foot tall red headed trendy running around keene. That's fine yeah. My little girl loves that tall draining. But yeah i love keen and it's a college town so at least liberal anyway. What seems to take any shut off. Because i wouldn't think that people would have the take him up and say something but they might. Some people are rude. they are not hearing cain. It's excellent mostly online. What are your thoughts. What are your experiences. Is the online world even relevant. Because i prefer to destroy all those people up six zero three two eight three six one six zero. It's aria never. I'm never gonna be able to do this. How i have to say your name in a certain order to not screw it up. And i don't remember what that is now. Is it aria. Angie and bonnie our doing angie. i'm gonna screw it up. There's three of us were all females. So you know. I want to tell you though pork fest coming up where we're just talking about it. During the break. Is june the twenty eight through july. The fourth at rogers campground and the beautiful white mountain hampshire. I can't wait. What is june the twenty eighth nineteen days away. Yes i am so looking forward to twelve days until the start of the porcupine freedom festival and i'll be there for that as well me too but Pessina i'm looking for to most because it's decentralized no one is in charge you don't have to buy tickets. Oh you have to do is your kemp excite rv side or motel room with rogers campground again june. The twenty eight through july fourth. There's no better place to be for independence day and they have a beautiful fireworks display. It's amazing they do. I think is taking place on july. The third this year because july the fourth i think as sunday. I wondered about that if they were going to do it still the saturday night. I don't recall exactly. But i think they decided to do it on the third. I think that's a great idea. Either way it's going to be beautiful and you should be up here for the entire fork fest anyway. 'cause i'm certainly going to be and you're certainly going to be as well. It's going to be great. It's true that one person who should be there is not going to be there. That's going to leave a great big gap that everyone is going to notice. But it's important because of that gap that all of us come together as a community and have a good time and celebrate. The small victories that were that were had in light of the great battle before us. Yes so check it out. Forecast stop party is the unofficial website because nothing about four fest is official fork fest. Dot party is going to be a good time. And i'm looking forward to it and i'm looking forward to it for numerous reasons but the main one is that even when i come back from it my vacation from my other place of work isn't really coming to an end like i'm still going to be working there but it's going to be like six to ten hours a week. Oh wow how are you going down so much because you are a lot more than that. I told them that. I just don't have a choice. I can quit entirely or can help you out in the periods where you need the most okay. And they're like well between the two. Obviously we want you during these these few periods. So and you think that you'll actually be able to just work that minimum amount of hours. They're not gonna. I'm not gonna let them giving me more. Okay good. I'm too busy and you stay. He won't be like yes. I'll just say i won't be able to because like these schedule. I'm looking at is thursday and friday three thirty to six thirty okay. Well that's not bad. And i can't stay beyond six thirty because i have obligations with free. Talk live in one form or another so they can't make me stay and they can't really make me come in early because prior to that i'm going to be spending day calling up elliott radio stations and stuff like that so so by vacation. Do you mean you're going to immediately go back to start working here two days a week because if not you should make some music in here that'd be cool. Yeah well. I took the drums set out of here. Unfortunately it's still the easiest music studio but it's its primary role right. Now is best served being a broadcast studio and with the music part of that being secondary. And i i kinda hate that but that's just the reality of the situation. Free talk live is definitely more important than the ability of aria to just sit down on drums set and start recording something right yes i think so. You have a drum set to play the drums as well. Yes 'cause you're really good at the guitar. i'm not. I'm not anywhere near as good a michael drums but wow capable. He should practice more because he's good but he. He practiced more he'd be like excellent. He's gotta here's good trump for us last year hoping we were going to do it again this year. But let's say other stuff came up. Yeah that's one way to put. It should start making music on the computer. No i'm an actual musician. I have no interest in programming. Beats and stuff like that. If i can't play it i don't wanna hear it. I remember the first practice that you guys did. And i opened up the kitchen window. And i was like okay here goes and i put my head out there and i listened and i was like dang they sound really good. It was the first thing. Like i put my sister on the phone and i played it for and she was like that and i was like. Yeah that's them. She was like dang angie. they are pretty good. She was like i was a little worried. When you told me that they were going to start a band. The forecast recording did not come out. Nearly as well as i would have wanted. I mean we did sound checks and all of that during the day but then night fell and the acoustics of the area just changed dramatically to an extent they. The only saw that really came out sounding decent was war pigs. everything else was kind of. Yeah that's garbage. i never want to hear it again. You can hear the words war. Pigs black sabbath. I thought was when y'all songs. We only did two originals. I think we didn't have time to read. We came up with this idea at a at a nightcap in early may about six weeks before forecasts michael deny even have a set of drums. We drove to mass to get him and he had not touched the drums in years. Okay i'm gonna. I'm gonna perform and i was like what we were just hanging out. We're like hey. That would be really cool and i was like okay. Well i've got this and capitulate while i've got this like i can play drums and okay. We've got six weeks. let's do it and they did so both off what we did in six weeks. I'm still really happy with it in the grand scheme of things. But it's not going to happen this year so i don't think is going to have rock music this year but who knows maybe someone else's planning something. I don't know the six foot transgender woman that might come and play guitar. She brings it. I haven't given it any. I mean if someone sets if somewhat if my amplifier is there then sure if someone else has an amplifier to microphone or a trump said or whatever then sure and you might play just a little impromptu jam session with no expectations. I certainly be down for senate the fire. So do you play like acoustic guitar and electric guitar. I play. i'm technically capable of playing acoustic guitar. I don't have any because i don't like them. I'm a rock musician. If i want to play acoustic. I'm just gonna switch to a clean channel and that's not really acoustic. It doesn't sound the same. But it's close enough for what i wanted to do. But as far as sitting around at a campfire playing acoustic or something like that. That's not my thing that's pretty campy. Yeah i don't think anyone actually enjoys it. You know when. I was growing up people. Hey you should bring. You should bring out your qatar. We're going to this website. Or whatever. And i'm like yeah but do you know how awkward that really is when you're sitting there playing the guitar and everyone choices trying to have a conversation. It doesn't work out in real life. How it doesn't the movies never ultimately end up just putting the guitar down and quietly forgetting it ever happens. Took me one time of trying to remain. I can agree that usually it's annoying. I mean there was a time when i was like. Wow this is. This is really fun right now. Because they're seeing beatles songs and like somebody knows all the beatles on the on a guitar acoustic guitar and like we can sing along but was really drunk. So that's probably why you enjoyed that because you were drinking like one time ever sometimes usually. It's embarrassing for everyone. Involved is not a good time speaking of embarrassing for everyone involved. We were talking about kink at pride though that. That's a pretty kiki person. But i keep that in the bedroom. I i can't imagine it taking my king out into the real world embarrassed. Hey look at me. This is not my thing. It's not embarrassing to me. That i just thought that was funny is a good segue. Maybe to some conservative. Mums like angie was saying. Not like angie but like you were saying yes not like me okay. This is the eruption about the argument about. Should there be King cab pride online which has occurred repeatedly in the past ignores the fact that king has historically been a part of pride and lgbt q. Rights movement as a whole people began to challenge the presence of kinky pride in major online discussions in the late two thousand tonnes discussions around the presence of kink. Bedia summoned leather at pride have been emerging online and then media coverage and blogs across the past decade with increasing intensity across the latter. Half of the two thousand tonnes who are these people who have nothing better to do than sit around arguing on the internet about whether or not keith belongs at pride well it probably makes people uncomfortable because they do it in the open and there are probably people who live around there have to come through the area and so they're like oh this cannot happen. Now we're gonna move along here from peak pride Something that has been bothering a lot of people since the start of this spec nation nonsense. Is this idea that employers may require the vaccine in order to continue employment and obviously here at free talk live. that's not sent however. A lot of employers aren't brita clive and are inclined to require their employees to be vaccinated. You wrote an a story tonight about the equal op. Equal employment opportunity commission saying that. Or maybe it was bonding. He brought it in. It was funny. Sorry that says that it's okay for employers to require their employees to be vaccinated. Yes employers are allowed to require the covid nineteen vaccination and can also legally provide incentives including cash to workers. You get jabbed. According to the updated guidance from the equal employment opportunity commission companies must still provide reasonable accommodation for employees who are exempt from mandatory immunization under the americans with disabilities act and title seven of the civil rights. Act the commission also stated that employer sentence. I don't know what's titled seven of the civil rights. Act is something i should probably know but i don't let me look it up. I think it's the religious exemption. Because i know okay growing up my mom got religious exemptions for me to not have to get vaccinated to go to high school to go to school like elementary and middle school. Okay or a lot of states that respect the it says it prohibits employment discrimination based on race color religion sex and national origin. Okay so it's just employment. Well oh hey. So must i mean the commission also stated that employer incentives incentives must not be coercive but stopped short of providing examples of legal offers. Some experts say there's enough legal gray area that a flurry of lawsuits could arise as companies. Start to bring their workers back to the physical workspace as the covid. Nineteen pandemic eases in the us. I wonder how they can have their employees wanting to come back to work because it probably is very comforting and nice for people working remotely and if they can do their job remotely while the employer bring them back because it's got to cost them less money to have them at home. A lot of jobs can't be john remotely though. Which is where. I'm at. But yeah if i could do my job remotely. That's what i average office job could especially if receptionist like if you're just answering phones or billing or something like that. I know when. I when i did not work per living a lot of that was done remotely and i basically preferred just connecting to their network from my house and doing it from there instead of having to drive there and do absolutely and then they're over your shoulder what are you doing. Yeah do you have to do that. What's that and unless. I had to actually go there to install a printer or cable or something. There was no reason for me to actually go there in person except to make it known that i was there working on the issue. Yes so working from home is definitely. It is the ideal really. As far as i'm concerned. I wouldn't want to go back to an office space choice. I mean here. I'm transitioning primarily to essentially working from home. And i'm like yeah this is this is going on here like no more having to deal with it. That's stupidity. I can just down to the studio and do a show. Yeah exactly it's ideal. Yeah i wonder. I don't know would. Employees would employers want employees comeback physically to work because when they have to pay them more or less. I don't i don't think that their pay probably was adjusted when they were remotely but what. I'm thinking that it's going to cost less power if you have a physical location. It's gonna cost overhead. It's gonna call stuff like that internet at your property. And if you can have everybody do their job remotely then. Why do you need an actual location. That's my take on it. So tell us about what the equal opportunity employment commission is actually requiring. I mean they said they can't use coerce. That's like saying we're going to fire you if you don't get the vaccine. I assume that's what. I didn't realize that that was the end of that article. They didn't actually linked to the. Oh here we go. They linked to the guidance. So i can bring it up. That was the end of that or the goddess is like. It'd be pretty boring. I mean it's just shocking that we've reached a point where employers say. Hey you have to be backseat against this thing. That as deadly as the code. I've had it. Most of the people i know at work have had it in some form or another. I probably had it but wasn't tested. Half the people if freetalklive had it. And i don't know any none of these people with whom i associated died now hospitalized. Have you noticed that the signs have changed a lot of the stores. Now if you're fully vaccinated you don't have to wear a mask it's up to you. Basically is what it says. Well i haven't seen that i would. I would lie in a heartbeat. If i'm going to guess treated like a second class citizen we were talking about that last night at our potluck and someone said well you can say yeah. Because they don't they're not asking what you're fully vaccinated against. Oh that's also i was like. Oh i didn't think about that because somebody's don't wanna lie to him and he was like. Have you ever had a vaccine. He was like. Yeah then you're fully vaccinated against whatever the vaccine was for. That's a really good argument. Because i prefer not to be dishonest. Either but i'm more pragmatic than that if the options are to lie or to be treated like a second class it is. I saw evans. O'brien who is going presumably pork fest. Talking about her experience at a bar in los angeles where backseat people. Were allowed to walk around unmasking. They were able to just move around freely but people who weren't vaccinated. They had to wear masks. They weren't at their table. They had to do this. They had to do all these other things. They were very clearly segregated. Did they require them to have their card to prove or could they just say yep imus vaccinated. I don't know but i've seen these cards and people take pictures with them. It would be really easy to spoof one of these. I can't imagine anyone seriously trying to take it as proof of having gotten a vaccine you never know what people like sat. I mean you can probably find a blank one on the internet. Just by googling it. I am sure. And we'll have some fake doctor's signature on it and everything and no one will ever know our picture of someone else's they had printed out and his going to ask you per proof that it's your name on it. Well a bartender might. S for your. Id or something yeah. I saw a picture last night of a really hot girl outside of a bar taking a picture next to a sign that said vaccine required. She said she got a not allowed into a bar for not being vaccinated. And i was just like imagine not allowing her into your bar you so this was last night yan twitter. Oh sorry we're in keene did this. How now because. I've been to every barring keen in the last several months. I've never had that issue and i got yesterday walpole grocery. They and i've never had a problem. I've been in there since everything started. Everybody's been super nice and this lady was like i had my little bag full of like six sandwiches and i was getting some and she said you can't be in here as excuse me and i said i'm exempt. And she said i don't care. You can't be the manager's role. And so i took my. I said i'll just step outside so i took all my stuff outside and i held the door open and i said can you ring me up from here. And so she said yes and she came. Got my basket and i just stood there with the door. Len people come in and out. Yup put your mask on. She's not going to let jan. So this was or yeah. It was walpole grocery next to burdock so walpole. I assume she didn't know that it's a health code violation to just have your door held open like that point extended period of time unless you're receiving a delivery of some sort. I don't know she didn't know about that violation but she knew i shouldn't be in her store. She gave me your managers number. You have these people. Don't care about help. They care about the feeling of power they get from texting buddies out what it was. It was about her wanting that. Because i had never seen her in there before and she wanted that power. I don't know about people. But i am thrilled to death. Not to have to back the sars at my other job when they tell people they have to leave without a mask because i never confronted anyone about it. But you know i will back up my staff. Yup if i have to which is good. Yeah even if. I don't want to. I will do it simply. Because they're my co workers and i'm the one in charge and that's sort of good supervisor. Yeah but i am so happy not to have to do that anymore. These people come in. And i can see it was some people. They're anxious to say. Oh you have to have a mask to be here. But they don't ever since the mask mandate has been led up in keene. I've had one customer. Wear a mask really and okay. There was one the worm asking just didn't say anything about it. Checked out and left one person came in with a mask and said do you guys need mass or something like that. Bush has mask. And i can really hear him and i was like oh i can put one on sorry. It's it's behind the counter. 'cause i was like out stocking something and he was like no if if i don't need to wear it i'm taking it off and i was like. Yeah you can take off. If if you don't wanna wear it you don't have to. We don't require it anymore. So what are the things i really like about. My attorney is that he doesn't require me to wear a mask and i. I was a little confused about this. The first time i went in there because you have to have one through the places of the building but i went in there i was like hey can i take this off in his reception or assistant. Whatever it's like. Yeah sure good. Because i hate wearing it so she thought i was asking whether or not they were vaccinated. She can back what he says. He's not vaccinated so. Do you wanna put your masks back. Oh no i don't care or not. That's not the issue here. So it's all very weird. And i've still seen plenty of people wearing masks and i don't get it as soon as that. As soon as regulation lifted i stopped wearing them and stores and stuff if i didn't absolutely have to. I can't imagine the people who are choosing to wear these things in ninety three degree weather here in came. What do you think six zero. I actually have never once in my life. Been to a strip club me. I've only been twice. I thought they were popular but most of the people i know have never been to strip club while again in something that people are uncomfortable with uncomfortable within but if i want to seize a girl naked. There are easier ways to do that than been throwing your money at them. I think they just seem kind of like sausage fast like i. I don't really like straight bars. In general i don't like a extremely male way You know it's going to be mostly males there borrowing masha. Yeah and then they're just gonna be ready for whatever and then you're the target because you're not a stripper so it's not hands all well. I don't know it doesn't make me uncomfortable. Just never sounded like a funder bar than like a gay bar so they did say that on zero hedge dot com says national exotic dancer shortage forces new orleans strip club to offer signing bonuses. Joe biden's universal basic income is worsening the unprecedented nationwide labor shortage. That even strip clubs face difficulties in hiring is not a universal basic income yet are talking about like the child tax credit that they're going to spread out. is that what. They're i don't know what did they say. What do they mean when they say the universal basic income. I presume they're referring to the the push from the left for there to be a universal basic income instead of just these one thousand dollar stimulus checks every so often to just give one every month. I don't know what realistic chestnut has of passing or if biden administration supports it or not. I was pretty sure that the one for the child income credit did pass that. If you had a kid as the parent you'll get a certain amount for every child you'll get two hundred and fifty dollars in the first deposit is supposed to start july fifteenth for people. And they're going to get this every single month every single month like like me. I would've qualified for if i calculated eight hundred bucks. Her all three kids even sixteen. Yup until he's eighteen. I would i would qualify for it and there's no way to opt out. Government is just going to send you a it's supposed to be deposited once a month. And that's what i was reading not too long ago about it and it was like two fifty per child and so much for me. That's insane. i thought so too but they said that what they're going to do is do that instead of give. I large tap child tax credit. Because i think like the child tax credits like either twenty six or thirty six hundred dollars per kid that you're supposed to get back on taxes and so they were just going to divide it through the month and you're gonna get it monthly. Well that's probably okay for people who are fiscally irresponsible. But i know a lot. A lot of people look forward to tax season. Then yeah. I'm getting eight thousand dollars yet. What i hate about it. is that the like. I'm getting eight thousand dollars back but you're not getting it back. You're just getting it. Yes that's exactly right. And i can't stand that about the entire thing. I'm so happy tax time. And i'm like man you suck. What do you mean not getting it back. Because i never paid that much jin anywhere near that about money. Most of these people who pay maybe five six hundred dollars a year in taxes and since they have children might get that tax credit child tax credit for each child is because small business owners are subsidizing that because they can't utilize these massive loopholes. That people like microsoft is able to utilize because they don't have the attorney sport so they're just getting raked over the coals in taxes and they end up paying in so that these these people with six kids can get ten thousand dollars back or whatever. Oh my god okay. That makes a lot more sense. 'cause anytime i have gotten tax money back i just i don't know i never thought there in calculated it but i guess it does seem like what i've never gotten ten thousand dollars what it's having kids and modern. They stopped. They used to use to get a full child income tax credit for each child. But they did. They aren't like after this second child. You don't get a full when you get like seven hundred bucks so if you have like ten kids then you only get two full income credits. Plus the credit thirty six hundred dollars. She's just for having a kid thirty six hundred hours child just having a truck this three hundred dollars a month right. Yeah well. I was supposed to get like when i i read the article it was like. Oh you're county. There's like calculate what you'll get and i was like. Here's me after kids. what would i have gotten. And it's like eight hundred bucks a month. And i was like seriously for what like. Why would you give me that. Because they're the government and they're crazy well they they're feeding all of us and they're giving us all their money on the income that we have to do it they say. When did you say that this was supposed to start july fifteenth. Okay so just a month after the extension of the unemployment benefits in yep. That's exactly right. That's not good that's convenient. I didn't think about that. It would be more convenient if not the same day but it's still not good for the employers out there who are actually trying to hire people because now you presumably. You can make more money just by having children exactly. And that's not these sort of thing that i don't know it's not going to lead to a very productive and successful society to pay people. Of course the us government is already doing this at. There's been the child tax credit for at least as long as i've been aware of h techs credit but it's not could and the way the government keeps implementing these programs to hand out more and more and more money is just it's just deflating the value of the. Usda is making it worth less and less so when you go to the grocery store that that two hundred dollars it used to buy a whole lot more but now you go to the grocery store. It doesn't by nearly as much you have a hard time putting your finger on. why why. Why is everything so much more expensive. I'm making so much more money but you're not now you're not have you ever when we go in the grocery store we get to the register and whoever's with me except for molly i'm like how much do you think it will be and we used to be like on a forty fifty sixty dollars and now it's never no one ever guesses like under eighty bucks are like one hundred hundred ten and it's always more than we guess and it's like the same items we've been buying for years. Well that's the that's inflation in practice. It's unfortunate that most people don't realize that has happened. They just here fifteen dollars an hour national minimum wage absolutely on me up not realizing that fifteen dollars an hour is going to buy less up at the end of things your ten dollars or whatever you're making now is. I wonder how that fifteen dollars an hour. Minimum wage is going to affect the people who qualify for food stamps. Or state assistance medicaid or medicare or whatever they call it because you can only make so much in order to get that assistance and if you make fifteen dollars an hour even as a part time worker you're going to make over their minimum the maximum requirements so a lot of that is going to increase the requirements which is so silly. It is at that their whole their whole game is silly where they've been paid people more to sit at home and do nothing for the last year. Then they could possibly make out there in the workforce yes absolutely. The entire economy is at the mercy of the us government at its ability to print money. And they don't even know that they don't even realize that that's the case. They're just excited to get that check. Yes they were very excited to get that first. Twelve hundred dollar stimulus check. And i remember advising people not advising but you know going the idea out there that may be a good idea to use that money to buy bitcoin and bitcoin. At the time of course was worth about seven thousand seven hundred dollars. Now it's worth something like it was. Yesterday was thirty two thousand more than four times what it was worth when they bought it so. If anyone had done that and sold that bitcoin yesterday they would have profited about four thousand dollars ish or they would turn that twelve hundred dollars in two thousand eight hundred dollars. I suppose is a better way of putting in which buys a whole lot more. You can get some groceries. You can actually get some instead of buying that stupid television that you don't need or want or that you don't need why not invest in something that is only going to become more valuable relative to the us as the us steadily becomes less valuable because the government just creates more and more of it every single day and then on the way he's also it's literally taking away from the government's ability to use it for war if you put it into that corn. Yeah but i don't think that's going to inspire the average person to get into bitcoin. I think so. Hey the reason that you're stop message when you go to. As short as i don't know maybe they don't like being called strippers or maybe. They're not strippers. Maybe they are just exotic dancers. I guess there is a difference between the two but as a difference. I thought they were the same thing you go to. A strip club in their hired is exotic dancers. Same to what. I've never been to a strip club so you're not missing out. They have boobs. And that's it and some of them aren't even pretty yet but they're they're naked. Yeah that's it. Well i mean some of them are some of them still have to wear their bottom halves. So i mean some of them aren't full nudity. Some of them are just topless. I think it was ron white. Who pointed out that once. You've seen one woman naked you kind of want to see them all naked. Yeah i remember the skit. So for that reason alone i could see going to a strip club except there are significantly easier ways to see women naked than going and paying a strip club but their freeways there are freeways internet porn thing. And that's generally free unless you're stupid and pay for it. I used to know a dude who paid for porn. It was the weirdest thing and it wasn't like any kind of weird or unusual porn. It was just he just. Isn't there discussed this. I don't know what the name of the services now. But like where you can like the average joe could get like an account and people will pay you for your pictures. Yes what is it called onlyfans. Yes what is that. It's sort of like twitter except for not safe for work. Picks and yes they do pay they subscribe and i think you can still sell pitchers individually or they just get whatever you have available to your subscribers. Used it i. I've never used it either. But just based off of seeing like celebrates have scandals and stuff like that from using it. I know that there is some just would come with the subscription in some that would have like a hint like they would have some kind of a caption and you'll have to pay to uncover it. I don't see the point. I mean unless it's the only person i've ever known who had. An only pants was a previous coworker of mine. Who regularly sent me news of herself anyway. A number of other coworkers. They find out that she had it and they signed up only. I always love watering at checkout. Then anyway and it didn't cost you anything but i understand why they Their circumstances thinking she was attractive. And you know wanting to have sex with her whatever would sign up for her only fence but still you could just establish a connection with her and she'll give it to you for free but we learned from that one guy that called in there are some guys that just never get what. It's hey understand what it takes to hit on a girl. Oh yeah the one. That was talking about the install. Yeah he was saying that he liked wearing a mask because they can't see my face. They can't see me sweating something like that but still so bizarre to me. But as someone who is at raillard out they're interacting with women and hitting a women is going to be nervous. I've been rejected plenty of times. We all have you're going to. You're always going to be nervous when you do it when you ask someone else. That's just going to happen but you should still be competent enough in yourself to be able to do that. And able to safely deal with the consequences of that without retreating to your basement slash dungeon to play world of warcraft. Or whatever me and some of my friends used to always say like not traditionally hot guys are usually so hard if they have good personalities but they've been told by society that like if they're a little chubby or you know whatever reason they're not traditionally hot. They always end up like dating some awful chick that thinks she can like do whatever she wants because he's ugly but honestly if you have a really good personality and your you know ugly. You can still be hot in my book. Well george bernard. Shaw pointed out at the end of pygmalion. I don't know how to pronounce it. I've never actually had her nose until right this moment that i've never heard of it. It's really good. It's one of the place he did. He pointed out in the epilogue. There has never been a person who was too ugly to find a spouse if they really wanted to find a spell. I completely agree i agree. It's just a matter of them. Not really wanting to or them just. They have expectations own way. Set you standing in your way. Absolutely their are real. You've got these neck beers covered in acne who live at playing world of warcraft. Slugging monster energy drinks and weighing three hundred pounds. Who want to hook up with the supermodel. Yep sorry dude you got to lower your standards of it. Yeah there was this guy that worked at a grocery store with me. And i wouldn't say he was like so ugly he was like chubby and really really quiet but nice and funny and he told one of our other co workers that he doesn't think he'll ever get married because he only wants to date like really really hot girls and my coworker was q. You can you can find someone and he was just like won't die so i don't know he said he only only would want to at ten because he thinks he has a lot to offer financially well then he will probably find a ten at the grocery store. It's a government grocery store but now do you think he. Actually i mean if i would imagine that if he was financially well off he could probably find a ten that would go for him for his money. I think so too but also just kind of like. i don't know that's really shallow. You could just stay at somebody who's not attend to you if you liked. I'm buying if someone wants to be shallow but don't be shallow don't don't expect a tin and then lament the fact that you can't get ten. Yeah it's you set your sight on that. Go after that and chase it until you've got it. I don't go i don't care borough but don't sit there complaining or seeking into depression or instill insanity because you can't get the ten that you've been seeking. It's the problem that you created. I absolutely think that guy did that because he was always like he was like one of me and my other friends like kind of friends and we'd invite him over a lot in he would just knock mobilize because he's always depressed about that seriously. Like what you're saying like. He wasn't going after what he wanted. He was just sinking into depression. Like i really think about that is true of that guy. Well it would be very easy for him to actually sit down and think about what he wants to address the fact that he doesn't really want a ten. I want to be heavily involved with the girl who is a tin or a nine or eight even because that just creates an impossible expectation of for me to live up to the worthiness of being with them so to speak. Not really if you. I guess i guess that could be the case. If they like or cocky or conceded but if it's someone who is truly beautiful outside and then inside they are beautiful then. They're not really considered or cocky. You know they're going to be just your normal average joe shmoe that happens to be a knockout or a ten extra points. I know i've been with guys. I thought were like definitely under my league. And i've been with guys that i thought were like this. You know at my league. And i would have to say the most Shallow worst one was the one that i thought was like ok really really high but he was really really conceited. I liked walking around with him. Because i felt like we looked is a couple together. Hot anka's seated sell like you know they would be shallow I remember him telling me. Like i can only wear name brand shoes like if i woke up. Yeah if i woke up. And i wasn't wearing nikes or something. I would flank pass out and i was like reba premadonna believable to me that people running around out there like that and i don't. I don't get the materialism to that. Degree i honestly do you get. Maybe you can explain it to me. Six zero three two eight three six one six zero if you want to do that. I don't remember what i was about to say. However strippers exotic dancers. Yes everyone's favorite top. There's a shortage of them. Imagine that is there. Is there a strip club. Anywhere in new hampshire. There is it's in bedford. There's one in bedford ed for better so random. I know that there's one in bedford because we stored our stuff here when new mood right next to the strip club so random. I feel like that's such a like. I don't know it's like a touristy like sweet looking little town am i wrong it yeah it is. That's exactly what it's like so bracco area but it's and it's nice looking place. It's not like a dive been surprised. There wasn't one hearing keen. I'm sure there's one manchester right. I have no idea. I don't know of any. I would imagine so. I don't go looking for strip clubs so i'm from the south and memphis tennessee. General where there are strip clubs everywhere. I'll military towns in the south they are. That's pawnshop strip clubs and bars. You'll get pretty much barbershops. Everything there isn't yes exactly. I have a friend who is a stripper. And i asked her. I was just like is it like what what all do you have to do. You wake it like what. What do you have to do to be a stripper. And she said that. The only reason the only downsides she really can think of is like first of all drinks should be free apparently where she was working drinks for her weren't free. I'm i don't know if they should be free but anyways like you could just get somebody to buy a drink anyway. The things she didn't like the most was having to get block dances. She said that you really won't make that much money. You won't make enough money for it to be like. Oh a really good job. Unless you're doing lap dances. And she said she just doesn't like avenue personally. I can would never be able to do that. I just think that i ever will. Maybe be a stripper. But it'd be so much more fun. If i could just stay up on a stage and people were looking at me but i just don't think i could give people i didn't know lap dances unless i just thought they were really high. I think that would be a lot of fun hotter. Not in that way. Because you're getting there like immediately looking at you and you have all of their attention. They're like value. And you're like yes. I when i was growing up when i was a teenager. That was my goal. I was like. I'm going to be a stripper. And i was ethic girl. You know so. It wasn't like an ideal go. That's that's a good goal to have. Oh well my dance and make money hooked me up with a job. Thick isn't bad that badly i was. I was too sick to be a stripper. No i didn't mean it badly at all. Oh no. I was talking about angie. I was like mentors. There's certainly plenty of places where one could be thick and be a stripper. But you're you're going to be more successful as a stripper. I would imagine. If you're not the i don't know that there might be some person who that's their thing. There is hard guy though went to high school with me and like i always felt like maybe we have this connection but you know it was like never got to that point and one of his friends told me he really prefers fat girls. You know. I heard that about someone recently to oh ny just wasn't fast enough. That's what someone who prefers fat girls to each their own. yeah. I don't get it but to each their own. We all have our preferences. I don't see there's nothing wrong. Somebody said it's just a little more hold onto. I own a pair of pleasers. You guys know what those are not. I don't know what they are. They're six their platform heels. That have a platform on where your toes go. And then the he'll is like this tall gosh inches tall to concert because i'm sure it was his idea ever. That's a great idea. It was a great idea. I'm not really graceful heels. I i've worn hills. Maybe twice in my entire life is just not my style and you would think with pentagram dresses stuff like that. It would be more my style but it really is a flip flops barefoot flip flop. I like sandals and stuff like that with skirts. here's has. I'm wearing right now. Skirt and some sandals. I did use to go to a place to get where the strippers got their clothes and their shoes. When i would go to the gay club and get shoes and i would wear the big sandals and they were all these stripper shoes. Pleasers is a brand. I love them. I think that if someone judging me based on my foot where that i have no interest in them anyway. That's a that's a good point. Yeah or if they're judging me based on the fact that they can see my toes or what my total it like. It's just. I don't know why you're bothering to judge me in the first place. Because the fact that you judge me on these idiotic things me totally uninterested you in the in you in the first place honey. I was working out the other day. And i had forgotten my shoes. Where the studio and there was a group of three women and the trainer was telling us to do certain moves in she said. Lay on your bag. Put your feet in the air. And then crunch with the way in touch your toes and i put my feet in the air and she said oh my god angie your feet or so dirty that come from my floor i said now it came from my farm so she was just like do you wash them. I was like yes. I do but i go outside and do gardening barefoot. That's rude and that was fine. She that's okay. I didn't care. Well i can see why why it would be a valid question in the circus is because you're doing yoga or exercise or whatever your feet or did you just returned from the farm understand some confusion and trying to understand the situation better. I probably would've asked. Oh what did you just leave the pharmacist. Watch them what we were that. Close you know. She can be very blunt with me. Okay how does change a lot all right back to the article from zero hedge about the national exotic dancer shortage according to local news fox. Eight new orleans. Larry flint's hustler club. She said the club is offering up to a thousand dollar signing bonus to any new or returning entertainer or commonly known as a stripper thousand dollar signing bonus just for signing up. She goes on to say. Believe it or not new orleans. Has everything besides exotic day of exotic dancers at this time i urge entertainers to contact me for their signing bonus as the city quickly gears up towards full capacity the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic on sex workers was some of the hardest hit. The stripping industry was decimated for more than a year as direct physical contact and gatherings were limited or banned by states or cities. It seems like the exotic dancer industry was entirely targeted by the covid. Nineteen thing they do requires crowds at close proximity. Yeah i don't know about you but if my stripper came out wearing a mask i would be i would. I would just leave the club. Yeah i would wonder about that too because you know you can sell a lot if they're enjoying their or what kind of time. They're having by their their mouth so if they're wearing a mask you can't tell if they're like thinking this sucks. I don't want to be here to me. The most important characteristic that you can tell about someone when they're when they're not wearing a mask is whether or not there a meth head. their teeth. you can't you can't tell that during the winter wearing masks we. I i may go at one point just so i can say okay just so i can see what the experience is all about the festival. She can go see them there. What festivals in in one of the tents at port pressed. really now. Yeah they had it last year at it. I think it's i eighty five this year. How did i not know. We had a few nights there. They yeah. I'll have to tell you about that soon busy last year so maybe that was why well they're going to be there this year. You're in luck. I'm going to be even busier this now. You aren't but it's at night though so you can go okay. Yeah it's in the evening interesting now. Is this the sort of stripping event that one would want to go to. Because i know that used to. They used to have a dome yet. No not that that you want to interact. These are hired. They come in there. And i don't think that they're going to be attending. They come mass and they come in and play games and they do different things strippers play. Games are like yes with people. Nice fun. I would totally go to that. But i'm not going to pork facet. This happened where. I think at gibson's ten. Oh yeah okay it did. I didn't hang out a whole lot there. Yeah well we had the poker game there so they were like well they were like you can't have the poker game because we're having the strippers tonight and i was like okay and ended up having both You know they didn't know when once they left and we went in hyper actually do play poker. I didn't have any time to just sit down and play a bunch of poker. Unless you're a. Maybe i will this year. We're going to run a game okay. That was fun. I might check it out. I'm not very good at poker. But i know how to play it. You don't have to be most of the people. There are drinking too much okay. Well then you'll be good. That's helpful back to this article. It says some stripper had enough savings in clientele to whether the pandemic and others resorted to webcam modeling as supplemental income. Meanwhile some slipped through the cracks and either left the industry to retool their skills in another industry or have been collecting. Biding checks unwilling to go back to work. Imagine that biden's paint strippers progressive of him. That's very nice. I think it's great. After trillions in biden stimulus millions of people are not seeking gainful employment but sitting back waiting for the next check. I don't think it's fair to blame biden per all of that this started under the trump administration. Yes it did. And by into sorta carried it on we get our first stimulus under trump. Like june last year july last year i got mine in may of last year and i got one additional twelve hundred dollar payment in december. There were supposed to be another six hundred dollar payment or something. I got a fourteen hundred and they're supposed to be another six hundred but that appears to have been given to me be a debit card and was lost somewhere between the us treasury and my place somebody said thanks for the six hundred dollars. Yeah which is a. it's amazing. it's not amazing. But it's a it's a sign of the stupidity of government that they would just put six hundred dollars on a prepaid debit card and send them across the country and expect to somehow work out. Can you imagine how many people got did not get. There's yeah i have. No idea doesn't grandma's you like sent you a birthday card in the mail. Did you get no one ever. Gosh your birthday. Oh i get that from my parents. Now i'm i'm gonna send a card in the mail mike okay. The government is so an ups. And i can't imagine how many people didn't get there as i would expect there to be some sort of. Hey you have to enter your at least the last four digits of your social in order to fight this or whatever but that doesn't that could possibly have been the case unless someone stole it hoping to be able to use it. That turned out to be the case. And then obviously they had no way to sit it on the instructions in there with it. They probably said the last four my social but i mean. I don't think that. I think there was a pin number that you had to call in and you set it up or something of that nature. No personal identifying information required from the people who i heard got them not that i know. They didn't say that they had to do that. They just rambled to activate them and use them. How could this possibly have worked. How could the government giving away money massive amounts of money to anyone who would take the debit card out of the mouth. That postal workers were very happy. I'm sure they were man. I should have been a postal worker last year. That would call it the highest paying job at the here. They're hiring they're going to be sending out more. I'm sure well. I suspect you know. It's a bit of a risk game. you can't just take them all or the post office. The postmaster general. Hey no one on your route. No one on your specific route. Got being all of the It wasn't me all right. It says strip clubs are no exception to the nationwide As they must offer signing bonuses the dancer shortage is also hitting las vegas. Hold on a question just occurred me. Generally don't advocate stealing but in the event of stealing one of these prepaid debit cards. Are you stealing from the government or from the intended recipient. That's a very good question me personally. I would imagine that you're stealing from the recipient me too because it has already left the government in its issue derive to suppose to be yours. I asked on free talk live friday. Do you guys think it's immoral to seal for moammar Yes i think it's immoral to steal more. What about you oreo. And it's just an interesting conversation online because they have insurance and they take their employees bonuses if you steal too much from walmart because the employees and i used to work at walmart so i know this is true. The employees will get a bonus if their department didn't get that much stuff this year. If you didn't get out to microsoft oh sorry you stop the enough Stealing so you don't get your bonus didn't get my bonus because i guess too. Many people stole from the hardware department. When i worked at walmart. You're not allowed to stop at theft in progress. Exactly so i think. I think that there is actually like a little bit of a argument. That's not immoral to steal from warmer but that being said i accidentally let a customer still four hundred dollars for my register once and walmer understood that i was just dumb and they didn't take it off my paycheck so i kind of have this like all right walmart. I don't hate you. I just one of those quick chain scams where someone like headed you a bunch of hundreds or whatever and requests a change back and then they gave you a more bills and orioles back. They ended up four hundred dollars up. No it's similar she you so this would be a lot for that. I mean usually. It's like twenty dollars or something now. It was this really nice lady that came in and she had told me she worked for. Cvs and they use a similar system. As what i was using. And i was. I was just checking out a taking. Somebody's lunch break for them. From the garden center and she so. I'm not normally a cashier. So she was like. I need to reload my walmart credit card. I was like oh. I don't know how to do that. Let me call my manager really fast. Sorry and she was like. Oh i used to work it walgreens so it suddenly wasn't walgreens or cvs walgreens. And i thought about that but she's just so nice and talking so fast she was just like. Oh i can explain it to you. You just got a press this so that i feel so stupid like admitting this because i was like oh cool i don't have to call her. Thanks and i reloaded her credit card. With four hundred dollars. I thought the four hundred dollars in cash. I don't know how it was supposed to happen by. So they watched the The video and they said like we never saw you take four hundred dollars out and give it to someone but it was during your your like you're logged in. Four hundred dollars was missing in like a while. They were sitting there. Telling me that. I was like i didn't take four hundred dollars and then they all came back to me. I was like oh. I know how this happened. I was five thousand dollars short. One time when i counted the safe down at a credit union that i worked at and i spent like an hour and a half and the manager like with everything and we couldn't find it and she was like you're going to get fired for this and i was like. Yeah i know it's like the assistant had deller. And she was like let me review the book and she went to the ledger and she flipped the page back. And that was like after an hour and a half of me and tears and she said. Are you serious. Angie at what you copied the number wrong from the previous day i was like oh thank goodness thank you thank you. I don't remember her name. But i was so excited about that. It's always a sinking feeling when money that you're responsible for it because i have to deal with this work. Does it come out right like even if it's just twenty bucks i just lost someone twenty bucks exactly i. It was just a mistake on my part. But there's nothing i can do to fix it. That's it. I deserve to get fat. Boring injured. always taken away but they didn't so well you made a mistake and insurance have insurance. What are your thoughts on all of this. It seems it seems silly and it seems like it was obviously going to create problems with homosexuality right. What am i knows it becoming an end. like what. if you're become a nun. what can you do and not do. I know you have to be sexually abstinent okay. Which is obviously going to create issues. You put a bunch of human you put a bunch of sexually oppress women into a single place or a bunch of sexually repressed men into a single place. You're going to get a really predictable result. Oh yeah and my opinion. So for the catholic church to and to require people to be celibate and to put them in these circumstances while also condemning the inevitable result of doing. That seem strange to me. So i've never understood just the concept of wanting to become a nun or a monk in the in the i did you know him none. I did it well. I'm not a catholic nun. I'm a piece. None of the shire. Free church. And i'm redefining. What is to me right now. I'm in the process of writing it and you don't have to be celebrated my my book but i totally agree. I read about what real nuns do kind of get inspiration and i was like. I'm not real nuns. But an actual like what would be yes. Can you tell me what they're supposed to do or what they do. So one thing that they they do is definitely Stay abstinent which. I was never going to do and another thing that they do is their role in the churches to pray. So that's what i liked about it. That's what drew me to it. So i'm currently writing. What a ps. None would mean for the shire free church so when that comes out let you is. I would be interested in reading that but yeah regular nuns. I mean well okay catholic. Nuns could not. i cannot do it. They have to deal first of all just like i. I don't know. I'm not going to judge other people if they don't wanna be my religion. That's what i kind of got gathered from reading if they're abstinent with another partner. Are they allowed to do anything for themselves sexually or is that they can't. They're not supposed to do anything like enjoy that at all. they can't enjoy it all. They can't have partners. It'd be married. They stay on like celebrate completely. Even though that's what. I'm asking like solo. Okay okay. i didn't know if that was like this is completely off limits. You cannot pleasure you cannot buy any pleasure at all or it was like. Oh well maybe if you're by yourself. I didn't think about anything about that. See i read that much into that. Because i was like. Yep we're gonna do them looking for the loopholes. I would guess that they're not allowed to but it's probably an open secret that they all do again knowing nothing about it. I just can't imagine how could exist in those circumstances and not seek out some sort of release. Maybe they do. I don't know maybe maybe they pray about it. i saw. We've seen catholic priest attempting to do it. And they end up happing altar boy so maybe the whole idea of celibacy is just a natural and should be abandoned that would be my take allow priests to have sex. They probably you would think wouldn't choose the twelve year. Old ultra boy. I don't know they might. Maybe that's what drew them to priesthood. The great untold secret. I'm sure there's a secret there. Maybe that's why they were all put into these monasteries in the first place because they had these inclinations and they're they could secretly engaged with them and they would not get in trouble. Because it's it's okay. Don't open your mouth and don't talk about it. I had a friend who used to say that The the clergyman and stuff like that. I can't remember what else they were called Usually like gay men that were like living in there to have to be able to be a part of the community and still be allowed to be gay with each other. But i don't know if there's any proof to that. I just recently i did a satanic bible study on this very topic back when i was running for sheriff and the bible doesn't actually forbid anyone from being gay. It only forbids them from doing gay things. Well so you can be as as you want. You just can't actually do anything that's gay. Do they have a definition of what would be gay or like this. Just like you can't do anything with somebody else at the same sex. Is that considered gay. That is considered gay. Okay you can be. It's totally fine to be attracted to and you just can't say you have to be celebrated or only have sex with people you're not actually attracted to based on what i'm told is a miss translation when the actual original text of the bible condemned you know pedophilia and men having sex with young boys. I don't know. I don't read hebrew. So i don't know what the original text says. I'm just going off. What the bible tens of millions hundreds of billions people here on planet earth refer to every single day as the source of all knowledge and divine inspiration on the planet original tech. Says i just know what christians today as says. The bible says at even. Then they're wrong. Well well. I have a message. That i mean not to us three in the room but ian wants me to tell his thoughts on the theft. If you guys don't mind. Jor go ahead. What we're talking about theft from walmart. Okay he really wants me to say this on the air business insurance just to be safe. I'm just going to put my headphones off for the moment. We're not allowed contact yet. So i'm going to back haul okay. Business insurance doesn't cover theft. This is just an excuse for stealing. And it's ally. I'd call in. But i can't insurance doesn't cover customer. Theft or employees of thieves aren't stealing from the company. They're stealing from the customers. Thieves want to justify what they do but despite the walmart is a big corporation the fact that shoplifting his paid for by all the honest customers through the business raising prices to make up for theft. Okay so so. That makes a lot of sense. So their insurance doesn't cover theft. But i'm sure that they have some kind of laws like they have like a certain amount of money that they they chalk up to laws i think is five percent. Okay i think they expect pipe percent loss each year and it was a bit much for me to remove my head and all of that. Because i've actually spoken my attorney about this already. I was like hey you know. Can i even listen to the show on nice when ian is on. That's no problem. No no he's not communicating with you. He's just talking right and that's obvious is not against your terms too over here. Someone talking right. Yeah but still. With the impending release of freetalklive such that in and i could have contact with one another in the works. I don't want to do anything that might you know this off the job so i guess there is a good. There is a good argument that it is actually immoral to steal from walmer. Say whether you're stealing from walmart or not or whether their insurance will cover it or narrow are all irrelevant. You're taking property that doesn't belong to you. You're stealing and that to me. Just automatically makes an immoral. That's one of the things i try to instill in my kids that you're honest when you sell something if there's something wrong you tell people because you don't want to be the one who is receiving one and that you don't still no matter what if it's not yours you don't take it you can ask somebody. Hey can i have that but you when you want to be honest. I would say that the one exception to that is probably stealing from the government. But i wouldn't recommend. I wouldn't say it's immoral to still from the government because everything the government has was stolen from someone else in. I still wouldn't recommend it as a good idea. See that was part of why. I was starting to think maybe as loud immoral to steal from walmart because warmer and lots of other big giant corporations subsidized by the government but it is true it does make the prices raise so that customers are actually the ones paying it. So you're stealing from your whole community wave look. I'm glad that he said that. Know because i would not have seen it from that point of view me there. Let's go to the article from the garden. Which which sucks as a major downer for everyone myself included. The only one that can go. I believe so. I'm not the only one that can go. Presumably colleen would be able to get permission since she's not under house arrest or maybe you could sustain not under house arrest. But they're not likely to even want to go now. Last year calling came for like a day. They're not going coz they have to work. Okay so it sucks. Yeah and this is all because the federal government came after free. But it's the reason that we're broadcasting here tonight. As step at the studio from which pre talkline has been broadcast for the last ten to fifteen years so a lot of sudden insane. Rapid changes had to happen very very quickly. And we're. We're hoping as far as i can tell. By the end of the week i will likely be able to have contact with and again which would be fantastic considering this his show and i've been hired to do it and i can't have any contact with the person who hired me but you must maintain employment but i must maintain employment somehow without having any contact with my employer. That's kind of like working for yourself. It is and a lot of this set. It has become effectively working for myself but at the end could step me through any audio issues. Have within just a just a few hours of being on the phone with them not not little hissing noise there. But that's different anything that i needed to do in already knows how to do. Because he's already been in the shoes and hopefully soon. I will be able to have contact with them. I just remember when i was on the show not too long ago that he was sitting in the background like that call that calls on. Hold that that calls on hold out now. Now they're live and was and i said. Wow you've been doing this while he said i'm just looking at the buttons flash thought that was the funniest thing but check out the crypto. Six dot com. If you wanna learn more about it. I will also be doing a presentation at the porcupine creek possible right now. It's scheduled for ten o'clock saturday morning. I'm hoping is getting pushed back to eleven o'clock saturday because anyone who knows anything about me i mean it's that's changed in the last month or so. I wake up at eight o'clock in the morning. I've noticed your online early. Yeah every single day. now. Lately i'm up at eight o'clock in the morning working doing something because there's a lot that needs to be done so i could make but this is also a festival following a friday. That's what i was gonna say. It's a friday night at a festival. So i have already lined up babysitters right but otherwise it's time to give a presentation makes you eleven o'clock saturday morning today. The crypto six is the topic but not not the case just the long term ramifications of the case and what it seems like the federal government is trying to do about bitcoin which is set up these crypto currency exchanges like coin bass and stuff like that to be the modern day banks the gatekeepers criminal control. Who can withdrawal crypto. Just like your bank. You want to withdraw your life savings. They're going to ask you all sorts of questions before they released your money then may decide not to. I've never heard of anyone having this. But i've certainly had attempts to transfer money to buy other accounts denied by banks. I've had i close my account because of that and hold on the funds for any length of time crypto currency exchanges have set themselves up to do exactly bat and they've done this by working closely with the federal government to create the regulations that will oversee the crypto currency industry. It's multipronged attack. To set up quaint base crack in by nasa and all of these others and jiminy as the next wells fargo and bank of america. Bank of america's and. I think it's important that the little person out there who believes in the message of crypto currency. What is supposed to do a decentralized way of handling money so that we don't have to go through these centralized institutions that control whether or not we can and can't which all crypto currency. It's important for us to be able to use crypto currency without being at their mercy. And i think that's why the crypto six is so important because ultimately what is all about. Are we really truly going to be beholden and at the mercy of coin base at gemini who are beholden at the mercy of the federal government. Because of so count me out. That's counter to everything. Crypto currency was supposed to be coin based knows it. Jimmy knows it. None of them care because they want to be the next rockefeller's the next rothschild's far they're succeeding. They're winning but that may change with the crypto. Six out crypto. Six dot com etiquette. Check out the presentation. Because i've been working on that little spiel for awhile. I'll be there. He used to be the really adventurous one like he would have been the one out here. Introducing himself to every the camera at rainbow would have been hiding at the top of the stairs. Has that's what i remembered. But you told me that this one was rainbow. And she's been like over here sniffing me rubbing on my legs and stuff but yeah pretty much says bad movie club started and there were people coming over here just regularly rabo started becoming more and more friendly and dinner just sort of takes a lot longer before he is willing to come out. He did pop out. He popped out tonight or monday night. Just a moment but yeah rainbow she. She's like this is. I'm on the show now. i'm a famous kitty. i love most about you. Very cool stuff interesting stuff not necessarily cool eight thieving none funding her gambling addiction by evidently. She wasn't very good at gambling because she had to routinely still tuition from the school that she was over ten years. The catholic school in california. She's still eight hundred thirty five thousand dollars that is what is the proportion. How many kids tuition does that cover. I don't know it just said between tuition and donations says krueger who took vows of poverty at age. Eighteen and spent fifty nine years in the religious order said in her plea agreement that she had begun. Diverting money from the schools tuition and donation accounts to savings accounts that funded the living expenses of the nuns. Who worked at the school. And then you some of the money for herself. According to prosecutors creeper admitted that she falsified monthly and annual reports to the school administration to cover up her fraudulent conduct and lulled james school and the administration into believing that the schools finances were being poorly accounted for and its financial assets properly safeguarded would in turn allowed defendant grouper to maintain her access and control of the schools finances and accounts and thus continue operating her fraudulent scheme in a statement to the washington. Post groupers lawyer said. She has very remorseful and sorry for any harm. She has caused as soon as she was confronted. She accepted responsibility for what she had done. And she has cooperated completely with the law enforcement and the arch. what is it archdiocese. Thank you look abuses me about this. Is that forgiveness. Is the mantra of christianity. Or at least it's supposed to be if you catch someone doing something wrong. You're supposed to forgive them. But not prosecute right. Yeah but it sounds like the catholic church here did not forgive the nun and chose instead to punish her christ himself said. Don't forgive someone several times. Forget them seventy seven times seven times well for me but for gimmicks someone once. I'm okay with that. Is true that jesus said that. But the catholics. Do you believe in confession. And it doesn't seem like she confessed. That sounds like she did it for ten years and didn't feel remorse until she got caught so well. It says that she was suffering from a mental illness that clouded her judgment museum to it. Her gambling a good. That mental illness got to her. You would think that you know once. She embezzled. The i eighty thousand dollars. She was even halfway decent. She could at least co sat out for a long period of time. No she was really getting into it. Well it said she also use the money to help for the nuns like hell paper expenses for the nuns at the school thing so i shouldn't use all of it for gambling. She's like that should have been included as in the in the tuition anyway. Hey we're gonna we're gonna pay for the coffee that the nuns required to not smack you around at eight o'clock in the morning while you're being rambunctious and seventy years old is a retired none. How do you retire from being a none. Well do you seventy nine seventy nine years old. Yes i signed up at eighteen. Now i can go have some set. Oh my god it's awful. I didn't think about that. Initially but what in the world is they. Just okay. i'm done. I did my service module fifty. Nine years god is good. I joined the nunnery at eighteen eighteen. Took the vows of poverty whatever. It was eighteen years old for fifty nine years. She did it talk about throwing your wife away says that the scheme was uncovered during an audit after cooper retired and twenty eighteen. Prosecutors said that she had also instruct a school employs to alter and destroy financial records. Krueger is due doing court on july first and faces up to forty years in federal prison. She did not gonna live forty years. Yeah so why are they going to slash she facing forty years. Seventy nine yes. She's probably not gonna live tenure if she's lucky she's retired. Now of her motivation has gone. I was saying recently like they should just. It should be illegal to prosecute people in their eighty s. Because it's just best a sad that you wanna make an eighty year old sleep on one of those jail beds. You're an awful person. No matter what they did unless they killed someone this amazing to me that you can find a government employees. It's not amazing. I keep saying that it's disheartening to me. That it's not amazing to me that you can find government employees willing to prosecute seventy nine year olds. Yeah it's like okay. You did a bad thing. And you're sorry but you're you're seventy nine years old. What could we possibly do to you at this point yet. That would make any difference whatsoever. And do we really want to be the type of people who are incarcerating. Seventy nine year old retired nuns. Now i don't. I don't think we do a person. No so why would. Why would anyone allow government to do that. Well because that's what they do. There's somebody comes to you and says hey we want to prosecute them and we want to sue them or go after them. The government is going to say okay people on one hand think well. The government works for us like they work for us. That's why we need them. You know to do things for us and on the other hand they act like will the government's the one prosecuting not me but if the government works for you then you're the one prosecuting the none. I mean let's make sense lispier the true face of this. Which is that you have absolutely no ability to control what your government does. They're going to do whatever they want to do. And you can bitch and complain about it. All you want you can sign the petition dot org all you want at none of it's you can vote on. You want you could choose. It's orient angie and bonnie talking a lot about four fest tonight. And i want to bring that back just because i remember last year at port past. You told me the next day of where someone came out to you saying. Hey aria because they it was a mistake ad. i'm sure it was a two flattering for you. I didn't care. super flattering. No now west. Flattering for me. Let me tell you why. Because i work out a lot and you have very good shape and form and your arms and in your chest and i was like. I said no aria angie. And they're like. Oh i'm really sorry are used to work out a lot but lately i don't i haven't worked out probably ten years. I'm going to start bootcamp once a week. And i'm going to be job. Have leading it so it's free if you wanna come yet. It's twenty five minutes. It's a boot camp. You should come where your house now. It's going to be at the shop where we had the market dice. Okay awesome yeah really good shape. You have a farm. Yeah apparently you like doing push i do. I like doing push ups a lot. Yeah as a general idea. How how affect. How efficient are you at doing pushups. I cannot twenty five out much faster than most any of the boys that i live any of them in the house where mike. Let's do twenty five pushups. And i'm like okay. Well we'll drop them. And i get up on my done on average when i do a chest at the gym in twenty five minutes we do anywhere from two hundred four hundred push ups in twenty five minutes and that's on top of any other exercises so you'll like do do an exercise drop and do twenty five or fifty do an exercise drop and do twenty five or fifty. That's pretty intense. I we had when i was in high school. We had an english teacher. Who said that if you could beat him and one had to push ups that you didn't it was. Us history teacher. Then you didn't have to do any of the work for the entire year. One handed push ups are really hard. I took him up on this on this. And i want and he backpedals. I know you still have to do your raw. that's ridiculous. i would do what i don't know if it was it was frustrating is but that was that was seventeen then so i was in much better shape and capable of doing it. But you're in shape now. Yeah i do training with a trainer five days a week. Wow really for yeah. For two sessions or fifty minutes and one is The other three twenty five. that's intense. Yeah congratulations that you like well. It's it's my therapy. I do it. Because if i don't i'll go crazy. It's where i release you know how people do certain things to sure that. That's what i do. I've been looking for a new one. Because i started vaping and then i wanted to stop vaping so i mean i did. Cold turkey Job is not. it shouldn't have it. Oh yeah it's not. Like i'm like i can't and i need to go do it but i want something because i just something else to you know have like that because i don't think that you know abstinence is the answer like we were talking about earlier. I'm fun none. And i don't know what i mean. Not just odd sentence with sex. That's not what. I was talking out by. You know what i mean. Alcohol or drugs or something and alcohol guitars are hanging up here. Those are my outlets in the same way the and jesus working out. Oh wow. I've been thinking recently. That i wanna learn how to play piano kasumi totally. That's the best way to learn music. And i've never had any type of music class but i really like to sing so advocate board. If you want to borrow it. Maybe i will do that. Sits in my living room. Nobody plays it but will not be the same as like vaping takes. It could take up your time. Because i've always heard that people who smoke or who Vapor do something like that and they do it out of boredom. I don't know you're smoker. Is that why you thought you picked it up when you first started. I picked it up out of peer pressure. Okay i mean sure. If i'm bored and just sitting there doing nothing i will likely just step outside and have a cigarette one. My cigarettes especially over the last nine months have been far more structured and specific than that like. It's not that i go outside and smoke. What's in our anything like that. I go outside and smoke when i have a chance but it it works out to be about once an hour. I'm never just sitting around going. Oh well i guess. I'll go have a cigarette light up. My mother-in-law would always show lineup and put them in her ashtray. The one time that's not true is driving not chain smoking. While i'm driving is a continual struggle because i'm not doing anything else. I'm bored out of my mind. I'm used to being far far more productive than i am. When i'm sitting behind the wheel of my car and it just drives me crazy. That i can't. I'm not stupid or reckless. I'm not going to be using my cell phone everything but it drives me crazy that i can't be more productive while i'm driving. I can imagine that you could hire a driver and then you could still be productive and it would still be cost effective for you. Maybe i don't know do think you have to have someone come over every time you went to leave your house. You just give schedule. I need you to be here. Here is at the times i need you to be around. I don't operate on a schedule. Though like me at some point yesterday. I decided i was hungry. So i put in an order and i just went and got it. It's nuts. it's not that scheduled. I know i'm going to be hungry at some point. Yeah over the next five hours but when exactly is going to synchronize well with heavy driver having a break with wit in which can just eat. Yeah the thing about a replacing vape though is just like for me. It's on boredom it's just in it enhances things like me. Ian have been listening to a audio book in one sitting there. Listening to the audio book made this partially boredom but also my brain thinks. Oh i can do that thing that will enhance this right now. And i'm like oh yeah. I'm not doing that. And obviously i can't play a piano in the middle of lifting audiobook a. Yeah you put your headphones on. He'd like what are you doing nothing. No but it's just like i want that thing that enhances every situation but it to not be bad for me. I don't know i found that. Music in general enhances every situation for whatever that's worth. I saw bureau once on the internet. That said art is how we decorate space. Music is how we decorate time. That's pretty good. Because i'm so cute. That's a really good way of putting it I've never heard that. I've always seen at the once but back to the subject of pushups. You have some something here about someone who did something is just absolutely remarkable. I did yeah. There was a wisconsin. Father sets new. Push up world record to raise money for a family of fallen. First responders a wisconsin father of three one of the greatest goals completing one million five hundred thousand two hundred and thirty one pushups to start set. A new world record for most push ups done in a year. Now if you count late that out. Because i did when i read. It was four thousand one hundred and ten pushups a day in a year it. That's how many he had to do per day. Now he probably done more or less on certain days but on average how many. That's a lot of push. Ups see four thousand a year. That's like a little over ten a day now. I did a tread a couple years ago and one of the other instructors. We were like okay. We're going to five hundred push ups a day and that was hard five hundred because your arms get tired after a bit. You're like this sucks really bad but we did it for thirty days. Oh my god. I could never five hundred five hundred push ups a day and we did personal training couple of days a week but it's our trainer was like pushups and we're like are you seriously. Yeah pushups every single time. We turned around. I guess it's good for you right. Yeah so i mean we same shred a plant challenge and it was a fifty two minute plank. I held oh my god. That's crazy you and only reason we went down is because the girl. I was the only one that there was a girl there. She was a gym member and she was like struggling in her hands nominate. Okay we're gonna go down at the same time so you don't so we can do it together. And she was like really said yes and so we went a plank is where you just hold your body up and your feet straight and everything's off the forest like holding push up top like a high push up and you week but you on your elbows and you could do. One handed his death but we were there for fifty two minutes. Jesus same same shred. We did wall sit challenge. I didn't win it. But i held a wall set for thirty six minutes and i had to stop because i had to go over to the gym teacher spin class. That was a hard spin class. Teach was like my legs were shaking. Oh my god. Have your parents ever punished. J. by making it on the wall might have see. I realize its own. That's crazy ads in the military on the wall. Yup what does that mean. Where is your a chair stance and you push yourself up and you hold yourself in a chairs position a wolf. It sounds awful for punishment. Of course it's like holding up a book. It doesn't look bad but then quickly starts getting really. You're basically doing a permanent squad. That's exactly what you're doing. You're holding your back against the wall. Yeah that's a. That's a horrific punishment but a channel. How old were you know. Sounds like therapy or something. I don't know. I love my dad. I don't care that he punished me. When that's okay but i mean really that's not bad punishment in my opinion because it's going to teach them one strength and they're going to have to learn that if they do something wrong. They're going to have to sit in this uncomfortable position for however amount of time. Yeah i mean and you have made you stay there very long. It's impossible for a child to hold it for a length of time. I don't know. I probably was like anywhere from like five to eight. Yes it's probably like fifteen twenty thirty seconds at most when you at least when you first started on its reason i know grown people who set next to be doing wall sets and training like they shake after like thirty second. I'm sure i and and i'm like okay. Yeah okay. i can't imagine doing four thousand pushups dane either. That's that's crazy. I sent it to the trainer. And i was like he. Did this many bishops. She said sanity sanitation. That is insane. It's good to stay in shape though. It's good to have a positive outlet for our frustrations for our society and whatever emotions we want to have released. It's a pleasure and it's always nice to have earl the pearl monroe join us on sports byline the nba hall of fame guard. Who played thirteen seasons in the nba. Eight of those knicks uniform where they retired his number and of course he played on one of their championship teams and he was named one of the fifty greatest players in nba. History earl. When you hear me say all of that these still get a thrill about thinking what you did in basketball. Well i think it's it's nice to know that you know that i'm still remember the things that you do. You know you do you. Don't do it for anything except for the fact that the love of what you do and it's really up to the other people who see do those things and he knows who say if it was great if it wasn't great so yeah i love to hear people say but at the same time that's not the reason why i you know i did but i think the thing that made you so good at what you did in basketball earl was your enthusiasm and your passion for the game and i think that is always what makes players stand out head and shoulders above. Maybe somebody else. Well that's true too. I you know growing up in philadelphia there were so many things that could influence you to go other ways but you know sports took a hold on me and i just follow my dream. You grew up in a tough part of south philly and let me ask you about the tough part of south philly. How was that defined when you were a kid. Well in two ways one way was tough because of the area that was in and then in another way wasn't so tough because my my cousin ran that area so you were a little bit protected. I was a little bit protected and the other thing in a nutshell is such a great thing about sports. You know people respect you. If you play sports and you know i would go through different areas and people would say Who is that. Oh that's all he's he's a basketball player he's okay and You know that's a. That's a great way to survive one of the things that i've always heard about. Athletes came from the same sort of circumstances. Is that if you have a particular talent and particularly in sports earl. That people tend to get protective of you. They don't let things happen to somebody who has a future ahead of them. Was it that way for you as well. Yes it was you know. And there's so many guys that i play with that you know didn't get the chance to do the things that i did and we're probably much better players but you know they realize You know the opportunity that might have and wanted to make sure that i got the opportunity to explore it. I was surprised read. That really basketball wasn't in a sense. You're i love the playing soccer and baseball was. Yeah well early on You know. Of course i fell in love with The milwaukee braves with hank aaron I wanted to play baseball and In in junior high school. I started playing soccer. I play soccer for almost six years. So those are the you know the two sports that i really gravitated war and it wasn't until i was about fourteen i started to play basketball and And people beat up on me. So badly i i had to get better. This may sound like an unusual question. But i'm just wondering your early love for soccer and baseball whether the physical skills and the hand eye coordination of those two sports may have added and maybe laid a good foundation for you when at the age of fourteen fourteen. You decided to play basketball. I never thought of it in that way. But i'm quite sure did i. I remember going from soccer practice to basketball practice and actually running circles around guys and i- did that to the type of condition that soccer affordably also playing on the hard courts of south philly and the playgrounds and everything. Do you think that that gave you a particular toughness that maybe somebody else not playing that type of an environment and inner city type of an environment would have had well yes and and also the fact that i played in philly and philly. You know in that time. What we felt was the mecca of basketball We learn how to play the game for what they call the heads. Those guys they used to have something called forty years which meant that you were learning the game you understood different situations and you practice those situations as part of your learning experience of playing the game itself. They talk about basketball today the nba game. And maybe that the playground influences a negative. And i'm just wondering if you compare the play ground game when you were playing earl. Did that create kind of an appreciation for team concept a little bit more than maybe what the playground game does. Today you know for the most part of gaze on the playground where lot more competitive than the other games that we played organized ball but at the same time you know we generally had guys We have pros. That were playing. And during that time. You had the The continental the you had to cva you had The eastern league and also you had the abad ap l. and the nba. So you had guys coming from all areas and playing and and it was like a melting pot in that south philly environment. how was respect in basketball sense defined. Well it was defined for me by being able to beat the guy who was supposedly the best player in south philadelphia and that gave me A certain Echelon to you know when. I walked down the street. And all of a sudden i wait for being a lanky skinny kid to somebody that The guys respect very well hall of famer. Monroe is with us on sports by earl and talking to chris molla one time i asked him since. He grew up on the playgrounds in new york. Why it was some of the great playground players in new york. Never were able to make it into the nba. What is missing from their game. That can't transition into professional basketball a lot of times and circumstance because you know a lot of kids grow up and they have to go to work they have to do other things or they get caught up and things are not good for them so that they never progressed past the the playground and like i say they were a lot of guys that i played that. Were probably better than i was but You know because they were protective of me. I you know. I had the opportunity to move on and it kinda display. You know my talents for other people adults told me when i asked him. That saint question was that the problem with some of the playground players was that they could not play system basketball. They didn't know how to discipline themselves within the system Was that a fair thing to say about some of those players. Well i guess there's certain areas you know. But like i said when i grew up in philadelphia basketball was more of a religion and you learn the game. You know you you learn temple you learn how to pace the game and things of that nature so you know we were. I guess as compared to like new york we were more open to date kind of player in in philadelphia because we learned the game from the ground up. And what point did your style of play your creativeness start to come into your basketball life then earl well as i said when when i started playing everybody was beating me up so much i i had to learn how to play but you know actually i learned how to play on my own who is so basically trial and error and i started working on things i started to see people do things and i worked on myself and and then i was able to go out and compete somewhat. I still be on the sidelines waiting for for it to be picked to play in a game but once i got picked i try and show them. You know that can really play the game itself. You once described your unorthodox style of play by saying the thing is. I don't know what i'm going to do with the ball and of i don't know i'm not quite sure. The guy guarding me doesn't know either. I i suppose that was one of those little edges that you were looking for competitively. It gave me a nice edge because the fact that you know i. It wasn't so much that i didn't know exactly what i wanted to do. But i knew that. I had to do the opposite of whatever i may be defended do so you know. Little science rolls his way into some of this stuff with sometimes. What did you ever see anybody coming up that you saw and said hey wait a minute. This guy is really good. Who are some of the other people that you respected and kind of admired when you were coming up playing the game. Well there was a guy in philly by the name of sunny hill. Yeah and then. There was a guy named t. Par ham trooper washington who also play with an aba with the net som- with julius erving Then there was another guy who played wilt chamberlain and a guy by the name of claw growth And these are all guys you know really taught us how to play the game what it was like to be a winner and to be gracious about you know being able to play the game was having a nickname an important part of your game of all the kids playing at that time. Well you know the knicks nicknames. That i had early on. I really can't thomas edison. Where did that come from. That came from high school when i was You know they said. Every time i came down to quote. I invented another move and you know strangely enough. I didn't play varsity until my junior in the second semester of my junior year. In high school. So you know. I had to start creating a lotta things in a year and a half that i had to play partially. Did you get nicknames. Meaning the kids from other people or did everybody come up with their own nickname for themselves. Well pretty much. Everyone came up with the on the ramp for myself. Thomas edison was right after duke girl earl. Monroe is with us on sports by very special player hall of fame guard but thirteen seasons in the nba. Five of those with the bullets and then eight seasons of course with the new york knicks. And if you take a look at his career stats very impressive. And you can see why he is indeed in the hall of fame more than seventeen thousand points and four times. He was an nba all star. Forty-five this is america's sports talk show sports byline usa. Here's ron bar. All of fame guard earl. Monroe has joined us on sports byline. Let's talk about your pro career for just a second when you did make it to the nba. I'm sure you had in your mind earl. What that experience was going to be like when you first got there. What was it similar to or different from what you thought it was going to be like. Well you know. I had always just jumped it. I was going play basketball. it It wasn't much different from what i thought it would be. You know back then. It was only twelve teams in the nba. That time and i have been you know had the privilege of plan against a lot of guys you know in the summertime said they played in the nba. So you know. I felt pretty confident. Going into the mba in terms of you know what i could do You know my senior year at college. I average forty one a game so it wasn't a matter about me being able to score once i got it was just travel. It was the you know the the here today. Gone tomorrow type of thing. That's the only thing that was a little bit different for me than what it wasn't college. You started with the bullets. And then of course you went on to play eight seasons with the nixon. I often wondered whether it was a benefit. Going to the bullets. I then going to the knicks. And maybe having that big bright spotlight gear grounded. Get comfortable with the league and then make that transition into the big market and get comfortable with it because of that. Well not really you know it. The situation there's that in baltimore. I have my own team. When you have your team you can. You can do whatever you need to do. Whatever you want to do which is a lot different actually makes you gain that much better but going to Have you know done that. And then go on to new york I realized that there were a lot of things that i wasn't going to be able to accomplish in that i thought i would have done prior and So i came to grips with that and and You know took a back seat so to speak and to try to fit into a team. That was already a winning team. When you say take a back seat. I is that a hard thing you think for a athlete to do particularly one. That's a driver's position. Like the guard is and like you were you. Were the trigger man for the offense in a sense. What adjustments did you have to make both emotionally. Maybe mentally. And also to your game than earl. Well i just had to think about what it is that these guys needed a lot of times. You know the things that i would do for myself If i saw the game getting out of hand. I know where to take over and whatnot were. Those are the types of things that i couldn't do with the knicks and and that was probably the hardest thing about it. But you know as in anything else you become accustomed to see what's going on and and you try to fit yourself into it that nba championship season. Seventy-three take me through it. And what was the catalyst for the knicks winning that championship that year. Well thank the cadillacs is that we felt as though we could win We lost The previous year and four games in five games and we felt as though You know we should have been much more competitive We got to that. Play offense. seventy three with willis. it was actually herbie. He played a lot in that series. But you know jerry. Lucas was the guy who Really took us You know Most of the season from the center position. So you know when we got there and seventy three. We sell so we were going to win. I we might have lost our first game as a matter of fact if i'm not mistaken but at the same time even at that we just felt as though you know. That was a little setback and we would go on it. Went and thank goodness. We had the type of players that Could pull it off with bush and fraser bradley. Read notes and jerry lucas. Well yeah that was a team that complemented each other. And i always thought that they understood how to play the game. I thought they were very smart group of players. Am i correct in up sedation. No question and you know and smart is a little work because you know we had to row scholars and the the thing. I've had jerry on the show before and i don't know whether people realize this. I mean he was so smart. It was said that he would memorize the plays of all the other teams in the nba. How smart was he in a basketball sense from that standpoint. Well you know you had to have a guy to to really you know kind of quarterback you through the a lotta. That and jerry was one of those type of guys. He not only did that. He also kept the scores for all the polka games. And of course season after you retired you became the manager of a musical a couple of musical groups and you launched your own record label. Did you have a natural affinity and love for music Pretty much so. My father used to say dance with bessie smith and So ain't coming up. You know. I guess it was kind of embedded in me about the entertainment business. And you know it's just kind of kept me somewhat in it you know for the last thirty years with us is earl monroe the nba hall of fame guard. Let me talk a little bit more about the music because that kind fascinates me mud cat grant and i were talking one time and he said one of the kind of sad things of course with the way the country was when he was coming up was the segregation. He said i could not stay in certain hotels he said. But you know what the hotels. I stayed in often had musicians in them and he said some of the greatest moments i ever had earlier those moments with the musicians when we jam together or we would talk about life or talk about music that that introduction through your dad and everything to music what were the benefits. The side benefits from that benefits was that ain't now first of all was able to enjoy some great music and then also started to understand it You know You know the type of music that they were was more Blues and things like that and in my area as i came in and be then. Now you know. I've been in it so you know so long rap which i don't do but you know still at all the the aspect of being able to talk to people who are musicians is a lot different than talking to the regular person because they're aspirations and they are just artistic Vibes are a lot different than than just talking to you. Know just a regular person. So i enjoy that because i also i feel. I have those same types of attributes and one of the things that you said about. The outstanding basketball player was that they understood the game so much they knew what to do from a moment to moment basis to be successful and to make the team successful. Let me turn that just a little bit the musician the great musicians. What characteristically do they all do in a similar way that makes them outstanding above the average musician belief in that music and stand true to what they what to what they believe in. You know you have a lot of people. Were any just for the money which is all well and good the true musician. Is you know. Because of his artistry and they stay with him and they pay into it. I got a person like that now. Called china black. Who who has something like The black-eyed peas and is you know she doesn't want to change music. And and and i respected her for that and now all of a sudden you know is the kind of music that everybody wants to do so you can respectful who are are steadfast in their beliefs of what they're doing and stay with it long enough for to country. If you wish it then the other thing too are the great musicians. The one that'll be individualistic and adapt to the times or the ones that are formula-matic Almost in a sense and we'll just turn out something that they think. The public wants to hear exactly well. That's you know know. That's all part of it but Still at all they are those folks who who really believe in what they're doing and and eventually you believe in it as well. The team chemistry that you had with the knicks would be an awfully hard thing to duplicate today in the nba. Is it because of the dilution of talent that there's not players that are happy with their roles in just happy being on a team. Is that one of the problems with today. You think will well. I think this is the talent pool is so thin out. I mean you have guys that you know that are happy to be on teams. They just don't have the same type of talent. One through twelve that those are teams with less Teams in the nba had back in the eighties. Seventies sixties changes changed the way players and teams play. Today you think compared to when you played well some some of it but it has changed. But i think more so the money and also the aspect of con- shoe contracts and clothing contracts and all those type of things also played a important part in how the game was played. Not not to even think about espn on and being on highlights when you say money isn't the motivational aspect of money. That might be lacking. Oh what did you mean by that. I mean the fact of the matter is that you make a lot of money in and you don't have to really put out as much. I mean you guys have made money back in the seventies and eighties whatnot. Now those guys still went to work at off season. That's not a that's not a you know a matter today. They guys have to go to work in the off season to make it. We got about thirty seconds left but where does personal professional pride then come in. It doesn't trump over money. Then you know. Sometimes i guess it's more of an individual basis or whatnot but before we go since we're doing. I wanna make sure that we get everybody. Hooked into one. We challenge dot com. Bph something that can be that can you. That can be controlled and for me. You know in doing this. you know. i've gotten as much pleasure going around talking about this. Show sports byline. Usa here's rod bar in our continuing series. We remember we remember. Marquis newcast away in twenty twenty one eaten played his entire twelve year. Nba career with the utah. Jazz is greatest asset as a player was a seven four height two times. He was the nba defensive player of the year. On four occasions. He led the league in blocked shots. Eaten hold the nba record for most blocks in a season and career average blocked shots per game because of eaton's lack of playing time at ucla few nba teams had interest in however the utah jazz. Saw him as a potentially dominant defender and selected him in the fourth round of the draft. Utah coach frank. Layden quoted red. Auerbach's old axiom. You can't teach height marks. Dad bud was a diesel mechanic instructor instead. Six nine and his mother six feet despite his height eaten was more interested in playing. Water polo than basketball eaten was uncoordinated not very muscular and relegated to a reserve role on his high school basketball team. He said the coaches did know how to teach me to play big. And i didn't know how to play big after graduating. High school eton attended the arizona automotive institute and graduated as an automotive service technician. He worked as an auto mechanic. Making twenty thousand dollars a year when he was eventually discovered by tom lube while repairing cars eating developed into a solid junior college player and transferred to ucla. But it didn't see much action in his two seasons with the bruins in his rookie. Nba season eaten made an immediate impact. He started thirty two games and finished the season with a then franchise record two hundred and five blocked shots. While averaging only nineteen minutes per game edens. Third season was spectacular. He blocked four hundred and fifty. Six shots shattering the nba record for most blocked shots and the single season and averaged five point. Five six blocks per game. More than double the league's second ranked shot blocker. Houston's hakeem olajuwon in one thousand nine hundred five. He had ten blocks against the rockets becoming the first. Nba player to record ten blocks in a playoff game. And now we remember. Marquis nice to have marketing back with us here on sports by on usa. Mark of course twelve seasons in the nba. All of those with the utah jazz. Mark evening to you. How are you good. What does the team have to do when they have a long lay-off make sure that they're not rusty when they come out well. It's kind of a double edged sword. the tough part is to maintain your hedge and So you kind of the normal tennessee is to go back into kind of a training camp type mode of Real hard practices a lot of scrimmaging and hopefully through that process. You don't hurt anybody But it's it's real tough on the players and when they're playing so well they have to go back and just sit and wait in practice in has the coach yelling and screaming at them every day. And you know after especially attend to lay off one of the things market. We saw in the national football league. Mike holmgren told me that one of the things he did during the bye week of the nfl season was just tell us players to get away from the game for about four days so they could refresh their minds. Is that something given the long season in the nba and the pressures of not only the regular season but the postseason as well that maybe a smart thing to do. If you have a long layoff. I don't think that would apply in the nba. You've got such a an integral part of the team cohesion and the being together and working together and Little small things that happen out on the court that most people don't even see the little head nonsense no-one wherever everybody's going to be in a given situation and if you get away for too long you You lose that. And so i think in the case of the nba. It's it's better to stay focused. Stay together maybe take a day off here or day off their you know they might take Maybe sunday off. But the rest of the time he needs to be their plan and Staying close together takes so long in the nba to build a winning team and to build a group of guys that play well together. You don't want to do anything in my to risk that at this point in time mark. It's only speculation on my part so feel free to correct me if i'm wrong about this but i would think in hockey and also nba because it's such constant action back and forth that it probably is difficult to recapture that kind of momentum. Edge offer a long of time as compared with football. We have five seconds of action. And then you may have nothing for another forty five seconds. You're exactly right. It's very difficult to maintain that and once you get a gallon you wanna keep it and that's why you see in the nba. There are a lot of teams. We'll go through the season and they'll they'll be great streaks where they win a lot of games then they'll be down a little bit and over a period of eighty to one hundred games. You know you're going to have everything happened to you. Frankly and you say she says there's probably ten games you have no control over. You're going gonna lose five. You shouldn't lose your going to win five. You shouldn't win And so it's a it's a real Momentum thing and you're right you wanna you know i. I would think maybe two three days off at the max between series In order to keep that momentum of that f. and keep everybody sharp mark over the years. I've had athletes say that we have to take another level once we reach the playoffs. And i know that is somewhat of a cliche but for the average fan. They don't probably understand what that actually means. What is it that a team. And what is it that a player does when they get to the playoffs. That takes it to the next level well during the regular season. It's difficult to get really hyped up for every game you just play so many games. It's just too hard on your body and you really try and go for consistency more than anything else in the playoffs It's it's another step up in intensity and adrenaline. And i would like an it to when you wake up in the middle of the night when you think you heard something or you. Almost get in a car wreck That kind of adrenaline has to surge through your body for six or eight weeks. And that's the kind of level that they're talking about when they move it up boom it up another level and it takes its toll on your body. You can't you can't sleep and You know a lot of times. It's just who's in better condition and who has more endurance at the end of the season. More than anything else and also is it not that the whole team has to be in that same level. I mean does that. Come from within the locker room more than a dozen anything a coach can say to you. Yeah it has to come from team leadership and i think if you look back at the teams that have won championships Magic larry bird Isaiah you know michael jordan certainly They lead by example. Get out on the court and they're willing to do anything and everything to win that basketball game. It's not about just scoring points but it's about you know being the best defensive player on the court that night. If that's what's necessary or making the key pass and i think that's probably the biggest difference that i've seen and And that's that's really what it takes. Mark eaton the former utah. Jazz center is joined us. So if you'd like to jump in here one. Eight hundred eight seven eight seven five two nine rick. You're in phoenix arizona. Got you with marketing. Hey mark how are you tonight. Good talking to you. I just wanna talk about Back near playing with jazz and some of the players like carlin john and some of these other blue collar who've gone through a the jazz organization plan in utah where there's not too much to do some other major markets and you know in a los angeles or something like that if so many other things to do so many teams to cheer on. What's it like being a player plan. And i you like salt lake city where everybody just rally around your team. And that's one of the one of the biggest tickets in the whole area. It's been kind of fun in that regard because it is a little more of a family kind of atmosphere than in la. Or as you said. And i've i've kind of enjoyed it because You are these shell in town and everybody rallies around the jazz especially when they're winning and playing well and the whole state kind of becomes transformed all over the city with jazz flags on their car and they've got you know every every. Tv station has a special each evening on the news and I kind of enjoyed it. it for me. It worked out well for giancarlo. I think it worked out. Well and You're right about the blue collar. Work ethic There are certain types of players obviously certain cities better than others. I think the jazz have worked hard to try and recruit those kinds of players. Who now are you know. Pretty solid citizen so to speak into not guys are going to have to worry about it at night and you can get in trouble night. Here don't Don't think that that's not true but anyway For the most part it's been a great place to play and and It is a lot of fun. And when chas lose a playoff game The city suffers and i talked to businessmen whose who are depressed into its They've really Everybody lives in dies now with the with the barometer of the jazz and so it's It's been a lot of fun. Real quick mark. I think all of us remember frank. Layden is the coach of the jasmine moving up into the front office What was it like. Plan in the organization with frank leading. I think we've all seen the the The bloopers and practical joe's liked playing Playing for frank layden having him around all the time. Frank was the greatest He really took me under his wing and a lot of other players and really took this organization which was One that ran a lot of players through in the early years and was really trying to find itself. And you know had a pistol pete vich and a real run and gun style. In when frank came any really turned that around became more defensively oriented and took this kind of blue collar. Work new york. Work ethic To the team and said hey guys you know i. I don't wanna lose the game by three points. I'd rather lose it by two. And everybody of like he was nuts and he'd say no that's because that's one point closer to winning and that's the kind of attitude that he started us with and You know turn to a group of Kind of misfits with me and adrian dantley and ricky green and jeff wilkins ben polecat and guys like that Bobby hansen thorough bailey and Turn them into a winning team That all of a sudden started surprising everyone in the nba. So he's he's been the greatest It was always a pleasure to play for him although he do. Some wacky things. Sometimes in the middle of the game he'd start telling jokes to some guy in the third row and we'd be sitting there in a time out saying well you know frank. What about the play. You played at ucla. And every time. I've ever talked to you. I've been with you. I've always find found you to be a very thoughtful person. I mean i think people can hear from your answers how articulate and how inciteful you are how did you approach the game being that type of person well. My background is a little different in auto mechanic can to you know stayed out of school for a few years before going back to junior college and then ucla. And i'm just always look at both sides of of an issue and I've tried to I guess i've had little had a little more experienced going in and i looked at nba basketball for what it was. It was a great business. It was a great opportunity to play and and have a lot of fun but It it never became my whole life and i think i've always You know kept it in perspective so to speak and so i just of always maintained that kind of attitude and taking that attitude into the into the afterlife of nba basketball as well. So is the rumored. Sure that you were discovered while you're pumping gas. No actually what happened. Was i was working in a tire and auto center and I was on a very busy corner and buena park california and A junior college coach up in the drive by and see me there and after much coercion for about two months. You've got me to come out on the basketball court with them for a half an hour on a sunday and that's kind of how it started And i ended up going to to Cyprus junior college there for two years than ucla you were very good blocking shots. You set the nba record for that and you blocked At least two hundred shots and nine of your twelve seasons. Did you take that on as the specialty that you wanted to be known for. It was just something that kind of evolved on its own but It was something. I really try to focus on once i in the nba. Because i really wanted to try and do something that would establish myself as a presence and to command respect from the other players and the other teams quickly and I saw that as something. That was a real key issue. That i think that A lot of players sometimes struggle with Shawn bradley is a good example. Where he's he's kind of good at a lot of different things but I think in the nba. It really needs to be known for something and that was a way to get more playing time. It helped our team. We're able to Build a very tough defense around it. Where guys could go out on the wings and overplayed the wingmen and the guards and really take some take some chances because they knew i was back there to back them up and so it was just Just kind of evolved but You know kind of turned out to be kind of a signature thing. San antonio spurs went with triple towers guys that were seven foot tall along the line when you have somebody like the market nor you have that type of hyphen. The lineup mark. Psychologically what does that do to another team. Because i know don nelson said to me one time one of reasons why he liked having seven footers in the lineup is is that it really forced other teams to change their game. He'd never play Yeah it does. I think that was the greatest. Compliments to me was Picking the paper the next day and not reading. Wow adrian. dantley was tough for john. Kilda's us or whoever it was but that She's market and caused a lot of problems for us. Because i think if you have a presence in the middle and you can disrupt another teams offense That i think is the greatest attribute you can have as a shot. Blocker is just going out there. And i used to study other teams offenses and look at opportunities of win. I could go and help out or going double team post player and you know coming out in from an angle that He didn't might not have thought about because what it does is it. 'cause causes the other team to start second guessing themselves on their coming down the middle and they're driving the lane like she swears that guy. And maybe i'll pass. Maybe i'll shoot and just that little indecision you know. Maybe they missed two or three or four other shots they might have made and that can be the difference in the game. Did you ever expect that you'd have a twelve year career in the nba. Now i really did. I came into the nba You know as a fourth round draft pick hoping to be a good backup center that would play You know five minutes here five minutes there and give a good starting center a break and bounce around the league for a few years and maybe end up with you know enough finances to to buy home. what happened in my rookie. Year was They traded danny. Shays was the starting center at that time away to denver for rich kelly and some money to make payroll and i became the starting center halfway through my rookie year. And then i just kinda readjusted my goals and said well. If i'm gonna be a starting center. I want to be a good one and just continue to work my tail off over the next few years to try and get everything. I could out of my bad athletic body.
