One statement or are you just have to spend all day signing signing pardons if I die of writer's cramp I di- festus year. I'm going to be a fork fast. Oh absolutely what are you liked. Best about forecast I I like the thing I like about four fast is it is so relaxing because is there is no like. There isn't any authority there to irritate me. Not even pork Rangers You're talking about the Porcupine Freedom Festival of which fork fest is a fork of in Washington. D They told us to ourselves so he did and indeed. We have injury Andrew. We go to park the beautiful white mountains of New Hampshire so checkout folk fest DOT party. It's a great event just a camping festival. Nobody's in charge. But but you're in charge view and people throw parties. Some people serve food People do all kinds of things. It's like anarchy you decide. It's four FAST FAST DOT party. Let's go to Mike calling in from Washington Mike. You're on free talk live you guys. You know this is turning out. I'm I'm really glad that I listened to the show now. I'm an older guy so it joined the club I wanted. I wanted to talk about Some numbers of have I would say BS number. I heard on the news about the cost of an individual homeless person and person too. I didn't even know you This guy that's this guy sleeping on sidewalk cost US thirty thousand dollars a year. That's what we invest in him. Like how Well here I so. I'm on Work Related Social Security Disability My income is thirteen hundred and seventy five bucks a month less than fifteen thousand a year. I pay almost one hundred dollars for rent. I I have no none of that food stamp each stuff. I do have free medical from the BA. How could that be possible when I'm actually paying my own way less than fifteen thousand dollars a year on person and they're saying that they're letting somebody sleep on the sidewalk walking so in other words there? Is it bureaucracy that there 'cause I I didn't go to high school but is not not just the cost of their own bureaucracy. And everybody trying to do this this this and this to the tune of taxpayers spending thirty thousand dollars or my just a stupid. Because I didn't go to high. They include in that number. What are the lion items I mean? Are they counting lodging. It's not lodging clearly right. Is it the cost of the side. Sleeping in the food in the food literally does come from trash cans and churches bless their hearts for feeding people. I came from Aberdeen in Washington. It's a horrible situation but that mayor from that town has lost his little rain and four years. He's twenty three years old Anyway he's gone so the new guy will see what happens but they just invested over half a million dollars in the homeless situation. They're camped out in front of all people but anyway I just seems to that number and homelessness seems to be a much problem on the west coast than it is on the east coast. I don't know why because it sucks for the weather here. Why would you want to? I mean it's rain. It's raining for two weeks. Yeah I zoomed that. There's got to be so we have a very nice soup kitchen in keene New Hampshire and we have a homeless. We didn't know barrier soup kitchen. I don't I don't know how one labels barrier means it doesn't matter if you're strung out on heroin you get a meal as I understand it that I'm pretty sure they will feed anybody in less. That person becomes a problem there. People have been banned. You're forgetting in fights fights there I know but otherwise those are real people. Those are real people that do that that feed like that. Those are awesome people and you know they got that. Every surrounding town doesn't have a homeless problem and towns that surround those towns. Don't really have homeless problems. The homeless people because the services. Are there go where the services are and my presumption would be that. The services on the west coast are better than the services on the east coast. So it attracts these folks folks that want these services and you know as long as some people are going to make a difference there too. Because California's a sanctuary choudary state oregon is a sanctuary state. Washington is a sanctuary state. As I understood stand it or at least their west coast cities are sanctuary. Okay so that's going to you know the. I think there are going to be a lot of people who are here illegally. Who aren't going to want to leave that set of state when that was in Portland they had tents on the sidewalk and to get them out in front of the post office? They had to put a an eviction notice up for like fourteen days or something in a tent. I assure you that live in Portland. No I was just there visiting. I love Portland. Portland's Ah I'm GonNa let somebody else get on here. But how long do you think do you think I could get pork fest in the manual wheelchair from bullbar Washington. Well you could but you better start now. They get a go pro document your journey. We had a guy ride a bike here from Portland. But we haven't had as he walked. The guy was walking from Portland. Okay the guy ride the bike from a fishing pole on my wheelchair with a can and I'll bet somebody would be. I just think it would be neat. You know I only have so many years and I'd like to go but anyway thank you so much. Thanks for calling account forecast out party as I understand it. They do have. I am going there soon. As you'RE GONNA go from headed that's for Christ up parody yet we have a I derived shares and people coming from all over so there may very well be somebody who's coming from there that doesn't mind sharing a ride for some gas so it definitely does fork fest. Stop Party linked to the telegram group for the I would say yes. Party is basically a linked everything so there isn't telegram which is a messaging APP For pork fasts forecast. Excuse me and you can get involved there so this gentleman who decided that tape file a lawsuit. Because he doesn't have kids in school and doesn't want to pay the school portion and I think that's a reasonable complaint obviously the The the towns the New Hampshire town that has Complaints filed against does not agree but He's quite a character. He is representing himself for the situation. He's requested a jury trial. He's asked the judge to allow taxpayers to join in the case. Should they choose to and I. I think that's fine. In two thousand seventeen. He made an unsuccessful bid for town treasurer vowing to comply with state law requiring collateral in coin and dispense with checks as a form of payment. He's no stranger to Challenging legal process in New Hampshire the Telegraph newspaper over reported that house was accused of threatening future. US Senator Kelly and her family in two thousand four when she was a attorney. General says he approached a out about the speedy trial rule on behalf of a friend and he said she rebuffed him and then made he made the analogy of the Pharaoh zero facing plagues in the Bible's book of Exodus for not letting Moses and his chosen people go did she ever actually prosecute him for threatening of plague of frogs. Because because you know doesn't have to be within the reasonable expected ability of human for it to be a threat. I can tell you that a listener of this show said he it said he bought a gun and he was going to use it to shoot me in the back of the head and the cops wanted nothing to do with the case. Well that was pretty vague. What he said and it's not like he's to take steps? The remark was construed as a threat he said and he was arrested but then released on bail. Of course you're released on bail that's tails four. That doesn't say anything about the disposition of the case. Whatever three years later the Telegraph reported house was convicted of criminal threatening city councillor? Terry does that really how they reported the end of the case as he was he was released on bail. That's what it says here. The charges must have been dropped them because he was if he was neither acquitted or convicted. Wow he he used the expression wise. Got A story here from Gwinnett County Georgia man on his way to a job interview said officers used a Taser on him three times for Jaywalking. Police say he refused verbal commands and physically resisted. So this is an issue out there in the world and it's one that I don't have to deal with I'd Jay walk all the time. I look both ways. If there's not a car coming and ZIP across the street. I was doing in cities across America. And you know I try not to. I ah try very hard not to be a hindrance to those people. The I yield the right of way to the the the people that have the right of way from by my estimation and and I just get across the street. But there's this situation in the south that is claimed that black men have a heck of a time crossing streets without using the signals. And anybody who's had to across the street knows that walking down one hundred fifty feet to the light then crossing waiting for the the lights and then crossing there then coming back the hundred and fifty feet. It's a lot harder than just zip across the road when things are easier to do now I've never been a black man and I've never lived in Gwinnett Gwinnett county Georgia so I don't know what happened here but if I was the one I wouldn't do the other. I'm pretty sure that well. This all began in March when the officers gave John Effort. A jaywalking citation on Holcomb Bridge road. Gwinnett county efforts said that a couple of minutes later later the same officers approached him again saying that he walked again. He said that's when they refuse to answer. His question began teasing him. I I was terrified said effort. He was charged with two counts of obstruction and improper crossing of Roadway police said that Joan Sent Jones a use of force report report that indicated that the level of force used was within its policy. It said that effort refused to follow verbal commands physically resisted an officer. Bodycam cam video recorded the incident hands behind your back now custom. You'RE GONNA get teased again. The officer is heard in a video. So this guy is was on his way to a job application or job interview doesn't want to be hindered. I'm presuming the cams show what the police say because the DEMO I don't that's not really a safe assumption. Well I I. I don't know the idea of going after somebody a jaywalking. I mean what's the harm. And where's the victim. Yeah is what I want to know. If I'm walking down the side of the road and the police want to be a problem and I'm like Hey I don't WanNa talk to you right now and you can do that. You don't have to talk to a police officer simply because they want to talk to you. You can just keep on walking. But if they decide to say you committed a crime walking you're walking alongside the road J. Walking's and easy thing to claim mm-hmm right and in my case it would probably be true. I've J. walked probably most weeks of my adult life and it is a tried and true southern law enforcement technique they for example during the civil rights era. They started charging the activists with spitting on the sidewalk which was a law on the books but it never got in forest forest except for against civil rights activists and eventually there were cases for what's called misuse of process Because they they determined that this was being used just to harass civil rights demonstrators. Right I mean and the Civil Rights Rights movement actually did use Jaywalk. They walk in the middle of the road From one location to the other to sort of make their plight known. No N- Whatever the case is I don't think personally I don't like the sort of activism that impedes traffic so I wouldn't participate in that but jaywalking like you know what I say jaywalking? I mean not going to alight not waiting mm for a little command from a little light to cross the street and then you know taking the long basically taking the long way now. Now when I'm here in Keene New Hampshire. I know how these lights work. I know where they are. I get the timing I can look at it and I can see what's going on. I can I know how a traffic light it works. I know when cars are stopped. I can figure this out and I presume that the crosswalk buttons are for mothers with baby buggies and the geriatric. If you can't get across a street by looking at the lights and seeing which cars are stopped your mental invalid. There aren't mental invalids by all means. Let's have these lights for them. But I mean you know. Sometimes I park across the street from a restaurant. Because that's how parking works here in. Keene New Hampshire. Sure and I'm not going to go all the way down to the light. Two hundred hundred feet away to cross so they can walk at other two hundred feet back to the restaurant when I could just wait until no cars are doing anything and walk across the street tweet no crosswalk feed it. I don't need to stand in across smoke. Like a sanctimonious a whole demand that every car stop for my forward forward progress to me. It's just it's bad behavior but here in New Hampshire it's the whole drive with courtesy and there's was this big fine for not yielding to somebody in in a crosswalk and all that stuff of these. These pedestrians get so sanctimonious about it. I'd like just go. I can get past the car. Don't worry yeah well. The drivers irritate me too. Because I'll be Be Standing on the side of the road and they'll stop their car right. Just go. Well that's gotta be fear based right you're somewhere near the crosswalk so they they're trying to wave across. I don't want to cross the street. I'm standing here. I'll cross the street when thank you. It's social pressure based we got a caller. Yeah we got a caller. Let's go to Jim on from Florida. Joe You're on Free Talk Live what are we doing. Today's message edge right. Now here's pastor rick with part two of a message called the season of loss. Listen you don't get any nail belts. I say I today get this. There is absolutely no correlation between your happiness and your circumstances no correlation between your happiness and your circumstances I have seen people who were in the most abject terribly such situations ends of of happy of depression raised in the ghetto no mom no dad. Abject Poverty Racial official prejudice strikes against them on and on and on and yet seen those folks maintain an incredibly positive attitude of. I'm going to do something with my life. I'm GonNa make make my life count and they go on to succeed and to be fulfilled and find meaning and purpose in life and yet on the other hand I have talked to some people who who honestly have had almost nothing major ever go wrong in their life and they constantly wine. Okay I mean every morning they rise and wine you want a little cheese with your wine. Now I've been in ministry twenty-five years and if you really don't want to get close to me now because I have that much patience for whiners because I've seen for instance situations where two people in the exact situation Asian face the exact same crisis problem and one comes out gone. We can make it. With God's we'll do it. Okay let's get going and the other is gone. This stinks. It's terrible life's over. Let me tell you what you are as happy as you choose to be. You're as happy as you choose to be because happiness is a choice and you can learn to be happy. Be In basically any situation. But you've got to refuse to be better. I remember a while back. I was sitting in my big Lazy Lazy Boy Comfort or Chair Channel Surfing. You ever do that and I came up on one channel and it was a you a preacher who had cerebral palsy. You could barely understand the guy. His speech was so slurred and he told about how he lost lost his mom and dad at a young age and because he has cerebral palsy. Nobody wanted to adopt him out of the orphanage and one hurt after another and he was is the most positive person I'd ever seen in a long time when I was fascinated by this guy's attitude there's enthusiasm his joy just kind of overflowed road. And then I remember him saying he said you know I live by the eleventh commandment. Thou shalt not bellyache boy. That's a good one. Some of you need the write that one down and put it on your refrigerator door. Thou shalt not belly. Listen most of the world would love to have your problems really seriously. Most of the world would love love Davir problems you say rick. You don't know my house bill. I know millions of people who would love to have a house. Bill and we're worried about are my kids going to get Caesar Beezer as this year in school while many people around the world are wondering. Are My children going to last another week because we you haven't eaten in ten days. It's like the old phrase I I complained. I had no shoes until I met a man who had no legs. It's all a matter of perspective and bitterness causes you to get so self centered centered you forget how much good there really is in the world. Bitterness never changes anything it only makes you more miserable notice this next verse. Hebrews Twelve fifteen watch out that no bitterness `takes root among you it causes deep trouble hurting many in their spiritual lives at the second part of that verse he says when you allow bitterness to build up in your life because of the season of loss oss. You're only hurting yourself. You're going to be hurt by other people intentionally unintentionally life. You have been hurt and you know what you will be hurt some more more and the rest of your life but the bitterness that you allowed to build up we'll never heard anybody else. It just hurts you and it makes you miserable. We love to blame other people for our unhappiness. We love to blame other people for our problems. I remember a few years ago. Tom and Sean Dell's little boy luke. The youngest Thomas playing a game of them and he said Luke who made the stars and we'll of course new but he said Luke did said Nah God made the Star said look who made the trees Luke said Luke did AH Luke who made the mood. He said well you know Luke did he went on and on like this. The next morning Tom got up walked. Walked in Luke was eating breakfast and he's built his milk all over the table and time goes luke who spell the milk he said God did. Ah in that typical I mean that is human nature and its most blatant form. If anything gene good happens in my life thank you thank you thank you. I did it all myself. Thank you very much I am. I am to be responsible for all these great things in my life and if anything bad happens to me. Oh it's all God's fault we blame it on. Have you ever noticed. I hope the Audio Broadcasts Ministry Pastor Rick Warren once again. Here's Rick refused to be bitter in the loss of life. How do you do that? How do you keep them becoming better to write this down? Everyone except what cannot be changed. I accept what cannot be changed job says in job eleven. Reach out to God. Aw then face the world again firm and courageous reach out to God face the world again firm firm and courageous. Now many of you do not really understand what faith is. A lot of people. Think faith means ignoring reality. You and pretending like something really. Isn't that bad for instance. If somebody in your family gets cancer you say no. He doesn't have cancer. That's not faith that's just just pretending if you get laid off and your income is no more and you have. No hope are no no promise of where. You're going to get your money next week and you go. Oh well I know that everything's okay. No that's not faith. If you say you know you you come down with some sickness and you say well. I'm not sick. That's not faith that just stupidity faith is not denying reality. I want you to write this down. Fe Faye is refusing to be discouraged in the face of reality. It's not pretending and you don't have a problem. It's refusing to be discouraged in spite of the problem. That's what real faith is. Now as as you grow in your Christian life and as you grow emotional maturity one of the marks of emotional maturity is you begin to realize that most of life is beyond your control. You figured this out yet. Yeah in fact. Let me say it this way. The most important things in your life are beyond your control. So every parent wants their every Christian parent wants their kids come to know Jesus Christ grow up and live godly life and you can do all you want to. But you can't control control that because they have a free will just like you do. The most important things in life are beyond beyond your control and sometimes the only way you can manage an unmanageable situation is through acceptance of DOC. Acceptance is the first step to peace. And when you've lost a loved one and you've walked away from a fresh grave all the wishing and hoping and praying isn't going to bring that person back. The only way to peace is acceptance like the old prayer. Lord helped me accept the things that can't be changed to change the things that can be changed in the wisdom to know the difference serenity prayer except what can't be changed number two instead of being bitter look at what's left rather than what's lost cost. Look what you have left rather than what you've lost first vessel on in five. Eighteen says no matter what happens opens always be thankful for. This is God's will for you you said be thankful for the problem. No be thankful for what you have left and be thankful that God is still with you and be thankful that God can bring good even out of the bad. That's what you'd be thankful for. You see your past past and nothing is going to change it not worrying about it not resenting it not being better battery rehearsing it over and over you need to choose to focus on. God's goodness truth reknown a lot of you opt in here today depressed. Why would this many people just the law of averages many of you came in depressed? And you're discouraged about a problem in the situation in your life and I wanNa tell you that the antidote to depression are you. Listening is gratitude. It's it's gratitude. Go home and make a list of one hundred things you can be thankful for. Look at what's left. Not What's Lost I. Are you still alive but that one at number one. Are you a Christian. You have Jesus in your heart. Put that number two and start. Make a list and come up with a hundred things you can still be grateful for and you will watch the clouds of depression begin to rise vanish. Gratitude is one of the antidotes to depression. Because just like we said before. You can't be grateful and depressed at the same time what you focus on number four in the season of life where I have have the losses I released my grief I received from others refused to be bitter number four. I need to remember what's important in the season of loss you see losses and tragedies have a way of putting everything into perspective. They clarify your values. They help you figure you're out some priorities and put everything in perspective. You realize what matters most Luke. Fifteen twelve fifteen. Jesus said bad life is not measured by how much one owns. What is he saying here? Don't confuse your net worth with your self worth their totally unrelated. Don't confuse your possessions with your position in Christ and your purpose us. Don't confuse what you're living on with what you're living for. There's a big difference and in the season of loss. You need to clarify your values. You need to really remember what's important what's going to last. And when you go through the season you begin to realize that the greatest things in life aren't things they aren't things that what really matters relationships people people matter not not. Thanks so don't lose your joy over things. That aren't unimportant looking. I Timothy six seven. He says that we brought nothing into the world. And we can take nothing out of it now. I know that's true. I mean as I've said many times you've never seen a hearse pulling a U. Hall. You're not gonNA take it with you. I do remember one time that those rich Texas this oilman who was buried in his Cadillac and as they were putting him under. I remember the guy who's burying it goes. Man That's limiting. Ah I thought no no. That's not living guys dead for Real L. Security what I'm saying here. Is You have to build your life on something that can't be taken from you. Can Job be taken from you. Anybody want to give testimony. Let me tell you something. There is no such thing as job security. I don't care if you're the. CEO One of the top corporations they get kicked out. Don't they there is no such thing as job Bob security but if you lose a job God can turn off one faucet and turn on another just as easy. Can you lose your your health. Yes can you lose the person you're married to. Yes can you lose your youthful beauty. I mean I'm fighting the middle as BS bald. This bifocals and bulges. You can't build your life on something that's not going to laugh for ultimate security. You must building something that cannot be taken get away from you and there is only one thing that can never be taken from you. That is your relationship to God through his son. Welcome to sixty six forty the ministry outreach of coin. Aena House and Cornelia Institute. Today's Bible teacher. Dr Chuck Mesler connecting the Bible to your life life and the world around you. In today's study. Dr Mesler continues his teaching on the Book of Deuteronomy Chapter Twenty Seven and twenty eight with all that background. You see by the way Joseph. The favorite son he has when he's in Egypt two two sons by his Egyptian wife. Manasseh Ephraim. What's a very important the understand when Joseph and the family finally come down there? Joseph is the grandfather blesses the two sons of Joseph. He actually is adopting being them as his own. But he adopts e from ahead of Manasseh which upsets Joseph because that wasn't the order they're born but Jacob knew what he was doing because that's what God told them to do. But what this gives you if you look carefully this gives you thirteen tribes because Joseph is in two parts if you will so you can always leave one on out and still have to put in the list. There are places like in the march and the military March Levi is not in and you still have twelve tribes. How'd you do that by splitting Joseph into two if you want all of them? Count the count the tribe of Joseph as one but if you have an occasion like in revelation seven to drop out the tribe of Dan for some some reason that's a whole nother study. We'll get now. You can do that and still have twelve because you just split. Joseph into to in fact in revelation seven the the tribe of Ephraim isn't mentioned either. But it's there because the tribe of Manasseh is mentioned in the list and then later the tribe of Josiah what's left of Joseph Takeaway Manassas from. It's as if the Holy Spirit Spirit dropped Dan out for his reason also gave me from sort of a non mention as it. Because they were both instrumental in adultery entering the land. That's background story there. But with that background now see the ruin was a natural air but he was a disavowed because who the relationship with his father's Concubine Siemian Levi. Did A we had. Ah A huge crime in check him very brutal thing so judy was next in line. So and of course Jerry Jones was favorite as Rachel's firstborn firstborn so that'll show up as you go through the scripture well about garrison we have the amount of blessings with Simeon Levi. Judah our jobs and Benjamin and we have them out of the cursing. 's Well I. It's clear that the first four are layers sons and the next two are Rachel's as in terms of their seniority of favorite favorite position. Ruben Zabulov next Ruben. Although his first born he was as I say. This disavowed because of the incest. And that left the suns get Nashville. Have Dan Dan and Naphtali Bill. Up The sons of of the concubine. So so that's the the order there The favorite ones being representing the the blessing side of this procedure. And the other. Six Eh. pershing's so we're going to see in jeopardy twenty-eight matching sets of six blessings and six curses versus and so the and these will be being recounted here by Moses but these are all instructions of what they're going to do under Joshua when they do enter the land. I one curse it'd be the man you're speaking with. A loud voice cursed be the man that make any graven image image and abomination under the lowered. The work of the hands of the craftsman and put it in a secret place and all the people show answer and say a man recognized this Moses giving their instructions instructions they'll follow this liturgy under Joshua when they get the land but essentially the very first one is. It's very very clear. The whole theme of Deuteronomy is the love we've got towards his people and the appropriate response of the people for that love to love him wholeheartedly in return. If you're GonNa love God wholeheartedly then you cannot allow that devotion to him to be clouded by allowing any other worship of any other. God was often not clear earlier. You know we talk so much about the northern kingdom after the civil war in the northern King Kingdom went night autry. It's not as if that's all they did. They also had a token observance of Cova but it was meaningless because it was contaminated with idol worship. And so part of what we're dealing here is is the total rejection not not not tolerating not allowing any form of idolatry in their in their in their in their life. And that's what's that's what's involved here next one's Christian but he that's set with with white by his father's mother and all the people say in all of these echo of course the ten commandments. One way or another now. Twelve curses. Here we're going to see sins of adultery in verse. Fifteen sins against fellowmen Vir- sixteenth through nineteenth sexual sins a couple of verses Healton bloodshed and then including curse in Verse Twenty Six th. That's the quick glimpse here containing saying I want a chapter twenty seven hundred seventeen curse. It'd be he removed his neighbor's landmark. That was a form of stealing. That was like moving boundary that was like stealing land. All the people. She'll say ain't an end. Chris would be he that. Make the blind to wander out of the way and all the people show say Amen cursor be perverted the judgment of the stranger the fatherless the widow and all the people shall say Amen. So he's asking for a commitment on each at each step of this review of course it'd be heated live with his father's wife because because he uncovers his father skirt and all the people say Amen course it'd be he lives with any manner of beast and all the people shall say Amen cursive. Take the line with his sister the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother and all the people say name in cursive. He lives with his mother in law and all the people shall say amen got very anxious to preserve the integrity of the family. Boy If we could have learned this in our culture of course it'd be. He'd smile his neighbors secretly. And all the people say a man cursed be he take a three ward sleigh an innocent person and all the people say Amanpour that confirm if not all the words of this law to do them and all the people show say a man and so. It's interesting this last verse. Twenty six is one that Paul uses his is in his epistles chapter three verse ten we often quoted for as many as are the works of the law or under the curse for it is written. Cursed is everyone that continue with not in in all things which are written in the book of the Law to do them Paul Making the case that you cannot achieve righteousness by the law. Because if you're guilty of any one part you're guilty all of it. And that that's exactly what I twenty-sixth confirm if not all the words of this law to do them. And that's the way Paul a interpreted that verse now. It's interesting of course let's not leave it there in Romans. Three twenty four hours is being justified freely by His grace grace through the redemption. That is in Christ. Jesus whom got US set forth to be appreciation through faith in his blood to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are passed through through the forbearance of God. This is what what Jesus Christ accomplished on the Cross solved God's predicament. We always think of it as solving solving our predicament. Because certainly it does. Because it's through Christ paying our way we have access to the father but there is a sense in which Jesus also achieved a gigantic think saw gigantic predicament. For the father because the father loves us but was in the awkward position of having to judges but Jesus paid the price make it possible for God to to extend His grace to us because that that that that price had been paid and that would be satisfied God's holiness his righteousness. That's that's the that's the whole the poll book of Romans especially certainly the first Halford but the Romans emphasizes also if Asians you all know this versus Portland to keep it in front of us as we start talking about the law so we don't get carried away about its impact on salvation for by grace. Are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves. It is a gift that is the faith is a gift of God not of works lest any man should boast. God saved us but he wants all the credit trying to add to it is blasphemy because it gives medication to boast for by grace. Are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves this was the watchword of the reformation mation for by grace through faith and that not of yourselves it that is the faith is a gift of God is not works. Let's any man should boast okay. Well let's get through Deuteronomy Twenty eight the blessings and the cursing. And that was. Just a warmup gang we really we really have a again as I say a tree structure here and we're moving down now to the blessings and the cursing of this treaty structure and she'll come to pass if thou shall hearken diligently to the voice of the Lord God to observe do all his commandments which I command this day that the Lord God will set the on high above all nations of the earth and all these blessings I shall come on the and overtake the if thou shall hearken unto the Voice of the Lord Lord I got and so this is an incredible awesome commitment that the god of the Universe has singled out of people to to be a covenant people and their obligations to him to do what he has to do his will. They do the observed to do all his commandments. Then God will elevate them above all the nations of the Earth Has God elevated them above all the nations of the Earth. Well there was a time for a short time. He did but they didn't follow his commandments. We're GONNA look at that more closely as we go here. All these blessings should come up with on overtake the the Voice of the Lord. They got blessed shelter. I'll be in the city and blessed Shalt Thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of body and the food of ground the fruit of cattle the increase it Mike Heinen the flocks of sheep blessed. She'll be basket. Am I store. Blessed shelter. Be when they'll come in and blessed shelby ghost out these six blessings are paralleled by six curses in it later on verse sixteen but even even rhetorical style will be parallel tallest. The Laurel 'cause enemies that rise up against the to be smitten before face the she'll come out against the one way flee before these seven ways. The Lord's command this the blessing Zinger Bondi storehouses all set aside hand onto and he bless the land which the Lord God guilty now. This wasn't unconditional. This is all conditioned upon them loving him enough to live their lives according to his will the Laura established the holy people onto himself as he has sworn into the if thou shall keep the commandments of the Lord they got walk in his ways and all all the people the Earth shall see the foul call by the name of the Lord and shall be afraid of the we see that at the elements of that in Jericho. Rahab heard the rumors Rahab research life to hide the spies because she ingratiates ourself to these people because she's terrified she's she's heard the stories of Egypt and so forth and so clearly there's a maybe obviously a minority view but at least that that that caused her to to avoid the destiny of her friends and neighbors Jericho as as as as is the capital of the first target of Joshua and his his his men. So all the people you'll see without call by the name Lord and Shell and they shall be afraid of the Lord show make ipe plenty of goods in the fruit of I body the fruit of cattle and the fruit of the ground in the land. Lord Swear to die fathers to give the so there again. We've seen this the undercurrent all through here is God's promises serve the Lord the God of the Universe Sworn Oath and swear to give you the lord she'll open onto the his good treasure the heaven to give the rain onto land in a season and to bless all the work of nine hand and shelled Landau too many nations and thou shalt not borrow there'll be the creditor nation the the head and not the tail and ashby above only in thou shalt not be beneath if that Harken under the commandments of the Lord. God which I command the this day to observe them to do them. This is conditional obedience under current issue all the way through these things verse fourteen and not go aside from any of the words which I command the day to the right hand or to the left to go after other gods to serve them now. This is a this team is continuing hammered all through exodus and all through the Torah. So on because you and I probably do not have the capacity to imagine the Pagan Culture. That was extent in those days. Braille essentials obviously very by definition very pagan. And and yet as we study that it's disturbing to see the perilous today and I think one of the reality is we need to recognize. Is the heritage. That many of us take for granted of of this country is is Is Pretty much in the past as we watch the these decisions about the Ten Commandments. Being removed from the courts of law just as a historical document let alone. That's all the other locations. This is a is a these are signs that we should recognize of the Times in which we live. This is the culture speaking. This speaks to the spiritual bankruptcy of the judges. The speaks of the spiritual bankruptcy of some of the denominations that are that haven't even got the biblical discernment to Forego Ordaining Sexual Perversion as as a as a officer officer of church on the one hand were shocked on the other hand. It's almost applaud the clarity because the the the signs are clear we need to recognize that we too are being plunged into a pagan culture. And that's what what God would want us to be distinct from and one of the things that echoes all through here. I mentioned we've talked about it last time a bit. But I'll mention it again and that's the second commandment thou shalt not take second third. Whatever shall not take the name of the Lord God in vain I don't believe that has anything swearing but has to do with taking the authority? The image their reputation of God upon your shoulders. If you're called by God's name you you don't WanNa take that in vain if you're called by God's name you have incumbent upon you a an obligation to do him honour by the way you conduct yourself and if you're called all by God's name and failed to do that that's breaking that commitment of his and so and that's also under girding all through here here. Because God is expecting Israel in exchange for his blessing of the nation to be his representatives and to represent sent him clearly and so now she'll go aside from any of the words which command you this day to the right hander left or to go after other gods and serve them but it should come to pass if I will not hearken unto the Voice of the Lord God to observe to do all his commandments. Statutes which command you this day that all lease curses. She'll come up on the overtake the you've had the blessings now he's GonNa recount a series of curses. That are in parallel. If you if you lay this all out there rhetorically parallel to the ones. We've just read cursive shalt thou be in the city and cursive shelby in the field. Curzon shall I Shelby basket in store for seventeen verse. Eighteen cursive shall be the fruit of the body and the land and the increase of icon and the flocks of sheep cursor the Gel when they'll come in and cursive shelby when I go out. And the Lord she'll send a bomb the cursing vexation consternation whatever and and rebuke in all Abou- Stein hand toward onto four to do until now be destroyed until perish quickly. Because of the wickedness whereby I'll whereby thou forsaken me pestilence cleave unto the until we have consumed the from off the land without goes to possess lord she'll smiley with consumption and with a fever and with an inflammation and with an extreme burning earning and with the sword and with blasting and with mildew and they shall pursue the until perished. There's other this phrase of echoes through here about four or five times is until destroyed and that is the final stage of each of these diseases we we could go through and talk about some of the many of them characteristic of the experience in Egypt but basically basically the goal will be their destruction and I haven't even that is over the head shall be as brass heaven is pictured here as the sky where the rain comes from. The Sky is going to be shut so to speak from the heaven is over the head. She'll be as brash. And the Earth under the shelby is iron. The Lord she'll make the rain land powder and dust from heaven. Shall it come down upon the until now be destroyed theirs that phrase again and the Causey to be smitten before then enemies though she'll go out one one way against them and flee seven ways before them and I'll she'll be removed onto all the kingdoms of the earth. That's a proof prophecy. Because indeed they were we call it the nostra carcass shelby meat into all fouls of the air piece of the earth and no man shall pray them away. You know it's interesting. The whole idea is the idea of a curse is to reverse God's order. God gave man rule in Genesis. This is over the beasts of the earth and that's economic genesis but in some of the psalms and if God if man insists upon worshiping the beasts since such gonNA turn it upside down where the beast will destroy the man. That's part of this. Curse is like for like a lobbyist. It's it's I think it's part of the intent and the it's interesting that the doom of the wicked in an S. scatalogical article sense what you're looking whether you're looking at Zeki thirty nine or were you looking at revelation. Nineteen one idioms. There of the destruction of the wicked good is that the birds come and feast imagery there again. Is that the the the the very beast animals that man was to have dominion over are the ones that God uses to destroy him if he wants to worship him that's easy carcass shelby meet unto all fouls of the air and under the beasts of birth and away. So this is A. There's an scatalogical overtone. Here that picks up the same imagery when you read revelation revelation. It will read very different differently to you if you really understand your Old Testament. What was the punishment for blasphemy? Anyone stoning right. And what's the climax revelation relation where they have stones these ninety pound hailstones follow up on the Earth dwellers book of revelation of groups of people that the believers and the earth dwellers. There's the earth that phrase you need to understand that phrase is talking about unbelievers that are willing on the earth rather than Heart's not in Heaven Hartson the earth and in the context revelation. They're the bad guys and they're clobbered again they're stoned it's it's it's an application of the very idioms that are emphasized throughout the Old Testament. And the same thing that this issue of the fouls the air and so forth You'll notice both in the the Ezekiel thirty nine passage in revelation nineteen. There's a couple of others. I think to have the same same phraseology but moving onto dude. I'm twenty six twenty seven. The Lord Will Smith the with a bunch of Egypt and with emeralds and with the SCAB and with the itch and whereas thou can't not be healed. So these are all kinds of things I won't get into hemorrhoids thing. That's a one of the funniest chapters the book of judges. But I'll look it up. It's every time eh anyway but obviously these are all forms of of a blights that will that will be the Laura with madness and blindness and astonishment of heart. Now I'M GONNA come back to this blindness thing that's going to be. That's a prophecy. To let me just go. On here for now showed grope at Noonday as the blind growth and darkness. And how should not prosper. And I shall not be only oppressed and spoiled Evermore Noman show save the thou shalt betrothal wife and another man. Shall I with her. And now she built a the house and Thou Shalt Thou shall plant vineyards in Cheltenham. Gather the grapes thereof then of course. There's a prophesy this happened to them of course especially in the Babylon in captivity binoche. She'll be slain before nine is not either she'll be taken away from before. Facing thou shalt not be restored Jordan. The sheep she'll be given to enemies thou shall have none to rescue them die sons and daughters shelby given onto another people and then I shall look and fail with longing for them all day long and there shall be no might in nine hand. The fruit of our land and all Labor's shallow nation which thou newest not yup and now shelby only oppressed and crushed always so thou shalt be mad for the site of mine is which thou shalt see Lord shelves mighty in the knees and the legs with a sore. Botch that cannot be healed from Massoni foot to the top of my head yet. The impression that God is being he's he's he's using every rhetorical torture device imaginable to get his point across. You don't WanNa go this way now. I WanNa talk to you a little bit about Zachariah. Zedekiah was the last of the Kings of the southern kingdom century the earlier northern Kingdom of got wiped out by Syrian southern came and went from bad to worse according to the Prophets Babylonians Game Two prophets ravage Jeremiah in Jerusalem and Zeki. Oh from Babylon. Because he's one of the early departees in babbling. We're prophesying that that they should the yield to Nebuchadnezzar. That was the instrument of God. This judgment was God it would last seven years and so forth and they wouldn't. They rebelled a UH came and took him away and change and put his uncle Zedekiah in charge and as a vassal king and went back home. was that a guy gets on the same ego trip Jeremiah. And Ezekiel are telling you don't make that mistake if you rebel against God is going to destroy Jerusalem right now as Vaso so subject today battling. But it's still there. If You keep messing around Bonetti can gonNA level this place. Well they wouldn't listen but as a prophesying Jeremiah. Has This interesting prophecy episode in Chapter Thirty. Four verse four and five. The father devised the plan of Salvation and God to assigned carried it out. Then what's the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives today on insight for living chuck swindle explains the mission of the third member of the Trinity. We will discover how the spirit turned simple knowledge into dynamic wisdom and just when we think we've reached the pinnacle of understanding and we feel like our daily walk with with God has struck a steady rhythm. The Holy Spirit comes alongside and surprises us. Chuck titled His Message Getting reacquainted with the spirit of power Uh when I did my study came up with about thirty to thirty five things the spirit of God does you'll be happy to know we won't go through all thirty to thirty five of them but I'm going to spot. Maybe three four of them that are important to underscore titus chapter chapter three one of the four that I want to mention is the spirit regenerates. He regenerates verse five five. He saved us. This is he referring to God. The father God our savior saved us. Verse Five not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness but according to His mercy by the washing of there's our word re generation and renewing by the Holy Spirit. What does that mean that means when you and I were converted to Kreis new life was given to us now? Back to First Corinthians here here we are verse twelve of Chapter Twelve. You'll see the second of the four. We're going to point out that the spirit does I Corinthians twelve verse twelve even as the body audie his one and yet has many members and all the members of the body though there are many or one so also is the body of Christ. The universal family of God is called in scripture the body of Christ now whereas the spirit at work in this verse thirteen for by one spirit. We were all baptized into one. Buddy where the Jews or Greeks slaves or free. We were all made to drink a one spirit. This occurred it salvation. The work of the spirit is to you. Identify with the body of Christ and with Christ himself he baptize. You've gone. Two Corinthians go a little further to be Fijian's chapter one here we read. He seals us if he's one verse. Thirteen referring to Christ in hand you also after listening to the message of Truth The gospel of your salvation having also believed you were sealed. uh-huh Damn in in Christ with the Holy Spirit of promise he permanently secured our salvation. Should would we came to know. Jesus you were sealed for the day of redemption so the spirit of God seals. What does that mean? That means we're his forever. And now one more Great John Chapter Sixteen Verse Thirteen when he referring into the spirit the spirit of truth comes he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own initiative but whatever he years he will speak and and will disclose to you what is to come so there is the illuminating work of the spirit. We have four of them now. Four he regenerates he baptized orienting us with Christ he seals us and he now according to verse it Lumens us see what it says. He guides you into all true. Let me give you three words that you need to remember. Revelation inspiration illumination revelation has to do with God's giving his word God no longer reveals divine truth. It's contained within the the covers of this book. He reveals his true inspiration that has to do with the writing. The recording of the truth that God is revealed that ceased but illumination. Goes on to. This very moment. Isn't that a great idea. Isn't that a great thought. You were now now able to be illumine by what has been revealed and written under inspiration and now it's available for you to grasp because you have it in your own language. How wonderful is that? How marvelous are those ministries? The Ministry of Wickliffe Bible translators taking the written word of God and putting it in the language of the people who do not have it and often do not even have their own language and as a result of that work in the faithfulness of those missionaries. They're able to read in their own language. The very word of God magin that because we live in a land where there is every type and style island font and color and size text of the Bible retained to take it for granted. But you go to a country. That doesn't have a Bible all. Let me tell you that love of you to tear one page out and leave it with them. Why because it is like no other writing it is the revealed inspired written word of God? That will illumine them for life. Let me ask you to guard against feeling that you have reached the ultimate now in your Christian growth. Just in case you're tempted to think like that weight you sit there. Just stay right there. Okay listen closely you. You are in a good place you are in a place. For God's Word is being taught where there was worshipped meaningful worship her there is Integrity for growth where there is a momentum where there are signs of spiritual life. There's excitement there's enthusiasm I mean it is like magnetic to be a part of what God is doing here in this wonderful place but it's easy to think because of that we've reached the pinnacle. I mean it just just. It just won't get any better than this. I mean this is the best when you say that you forget the work of the spirit riddance to continue to make your life even better and better. I didn't say easier. I said better. He is able to take this year. Oh and turn next year into one that can hardly be compared as you grow spiritually as you'd learn handle difficulties and endure tests rests. He's always able to improve on. What once was that's my point and how thank him for that? We thought last it was good but look at what. This year is held magnificent. Now why should we care about this. Some of you are thinking look. This isn't the seminary. Why underworld would you take our time to tell us these things a couple of very important reasons and by the way I preach when you have teaching at this church regardless of who may be the teacher it is always for a purpose and it never has anything to do with? The teacher is always for for your benefit. The benefit of this is what you know truth like this it gives you an edge in the world in which we live it gives you an edge not only to survive but to thrive your guarded against the teaching of the colts. You're instructed in truth so that you are very quick to handle whatever comes to you. Whatever impact you and understanding of the spirit is we're going to see brings us enormous amount of comfort? And that's my second point. We're all only human and we need an advocate. Because we fall we failed. We blow it it and the good news is that the spirit of God is our ad. Could we're in John so go back to chapter fourteen and look at Verse Sixteen. Sixteen John Fourteen sixteen. I will ask the father says Jesus and he. That's the father will give you. That would be the disciples another. Here's our word translated here helper. The new international version translates it counselor earlier in this new American Standard Bible we read helper. It's from two Greek words one means alongside and the other means to call them together. I Will Paul one alongside for the purpose of helping you. I found it's interesting that Toss always reference to helping someone in need or in trouble. A story of our lives isn't on it. We have spent days dealing with struggles and troubles trials. The good news is the spirit of God comes alongside and so as you learn of the spirit you learn about the one who has been given you as a helper now. The significance of the Holy Spirit cannot be overemphasized. I've left you place here in your outline for you to fill in three of these and we'll sort of click through them before through today and hopefully hopefully they'll make a difference first of all his permanent presence within US his permanent presence within us. The word permanent is significant. In fact if you will Look at John's Gospel bursts sixteen and Seventeen gene of chapter fourteen. In fact it is in Bursts seventeen the spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive because yes it does not see him or know him but you know him because he abides with you. Please notice the word with and we'll be in you you. This is a marvellous promise. Now it may not seem that's significant to you but to the people who it was spoken. It was incredibly really important because the context of John. Fourteen is a savior who is about to leave the presence of his disciples. He's I've been with them continually faithfully daily for three three and a half years. These now reach the last supper. This is a part of the upper room teaching or met last supper and he has already told him he's going to be leaving them. Well well That suddenly an anchor was thrown in their minds. And that's all they can think about. He's going to go away. He's going to leave us. What are we going to do? He's gone. I remember when my orders were cut to to go to Okinawa. Cindy and I were living in San Francisco and before I picked her up from work that evening. I'd gotten the meal and there was a large very officious looking brown envelopes marked confidential up military orders. Not Thought wonder why they're sending me this. They promised I'd get to be here. The rest of tour of duty veterans are smiling right right now. I opened the envelope and I pulled it out and it was a speed letter from the commandant of the Marine Corps. Hang your orders are you will be going to the island. UNAVO- Kanawha where your mos is needed and no reasonable and all that the point is the word going and suddenly look out felon an anchor. I couldn't read anything else. I'm going to be going and I'm thinking surely that's not what it says I've got it. I read it again. The read it this way then. I read it this way and about that time. Cynthia walked out and got set down the car. And my being tactful husband than I am I I said I'm going to Okinawa. Well now all of a sudden gunk out goes an anchor in her mind and both of us sit there with tears. I'm not able to read anything else. We never thought about the future. We didn't go beyond the word going. You're going we didn't the think about the benefit of my spending time there and how it would transform. My whole life was going. That was the hard part. And that's what's got them. I'm stuck and they're thinking he's gone. Who are we going to turn to when all hell breaks loose when persecution really gets impacting acting our lives? What about our families? What about our lives? So now he says to them. I'm going to send one. Who is going to be with you forever? This makes a lot of sense. Doesn't it the permanent presence of the Holy Spirit. He will be with you. He will be your advocate he will be your helper. He will be your counselor. He will be your guide. He will be your shield. He will be your protector. He will be your identity. He will be your reason for going on and all of us are facing tough time these days. The good news is it has not impacted the Holy Spirit whatsoever. He is at work he is using whatever it is. We're going through and this permanent presence of the spirit of God is ours to Plame. How grateful we are that? He is permanently among us and within us. And you don't have to pray that he will stay in you. You don't have to pray that he won't leave you because you have gone so far away from God. It is not a temporary presence as a permanent one and now you're in John So look at acts chapter one we would add to Ooh that benefit of his permanent presence. The supernatural enablement of the spirit. This is a wonderful part of his presence. US The supernatural enablement of the spirit among us. You don't know the Times or the epochs verse seven Chapter After One tells us but it does say you will receive power you will receive a dynamic you call it and enablement a a divine enablement. The spirit of God comes upon you. You will be. Empowered is another way of putting it. You could put that in the margin you. You will be empowered when the Holy Spirit is calm. And that's exactly what happens to these apostles before they are fearful. They are hesitant. They are reluctant and and after the spirit of God comes upon them and transforms them. They are bold and they are decisive and they are courageous and they're willing to withstand all kinds of persecution hardship and difficulty. Why because they have the spirit of power in mm-hmm magnificent promise you will receive that power? F F Bruce writes this they would be clothed with heavenly me power that power by which in the event their mighty works were accomplished. And they're preaching made effective as Jesus himself had been anointed pointed at his baptism with the Holy Spirit and power so his followers were now to be similarly unordered and enabled to carry out his work. How do I do what I do? It's the work of the spirit. How do you do what you do? It's the work of the spirit. How do you stand fast? When the bottom of your life drops out it's the presence of the spirit? The enablement of the spirit keeps US going holds. Close there's one more on mentioned we'll call a halt to this the divine will forums. He reveals that he makes that known to us. In fact doc verse eight says you will be my witnesses to the remotest part of the earth and there you have it his will is that we share the message of of the saviour from here on out. What a great place to stop that he's doing that? Spirit of God is at work to move view into action and to take you to places where that message is needed and you can share that message now. Let me let me warn you about something in this place where truth is taught and were we enjoy such blessings as a as a local church. It is easy to I think we just about got the very best. There is and that's easy for it to happen in your mind you know. I have reached a place where it is the ultimate. It just won't ever get any better and let me let me guard you against them. That leads to a a complacency and a pride that is devastating. Always remember that when the work of the spirit is alive and at work work it always has has an effect on us that is better and better this year can be this next year can be far greater than this last year. Simply because of the work of the spirit he can take what looks like the very best and turn it into something even better. That's the prayer is thought of this when I was reading a book called Leadership Jazz. Great Little Book on leadership about Max Debris listen to this true story. A German machine tool company wants developed a very fine bit for drilling holes holes in steel. The tiny bit could bore a hole about the size of a human hair. This seemed like a tremendously valuable innovation vacation. So the Germans sent samples off to Russia United States and Japan suggesting that this bit was the ultimate in machine technology the ultimate a drum the Russians. They heard nothing from the Americans came a quick response enquiring acquiring the price of the bits available discounts and the possibility of a licensing agreement after some delay there was the a predictable polite response from the Japanese complementing the Germans on their wonderful achievement but with a postscript noting that the Germans a bit was enclosed with a slight alteration excitedly. The German engineers opened the package and carefully examined their bit. That had been returned to them. You and to their amazement discovered the Japanese had board a neat hole through it about the time. You think thank you got it all cornered and all wrapped up along comes a wonderful surprise that only the spirit of God can bring. And that is a breakthrough in areas of your life at it not yet been invaded. The presence of God my prayer for you is legal. Not Miss that about with me. Will you please right where you're sitting. Just just sit quietly. Are you absolutely absolutely certain. I mean absolutely certain that the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior I mean. There's not a doubt in your mind that if you were to die this night that you'd be in the presence of God in his heaven if your response. Is You know chuck. I'm not sure of that. Then the fact is quite likely you haven't been regenerated reborn this this is your moment. The spirit of God is at work he will take the truth. You have heard which is the truth. That Christ died for your sins winds and was buried to prove he died and then was raised victoriously from the dead to prove that he was victorious over. Sin that sand that has captured you. All your life to this moment can be removed and relieved forgiven. Thank God you're trusting. And then take that truth to those who've never heard it excite thus with that possibility and I'll father dismisses with the hope that this day will be refreshing because of your spirit's Spirit's presence within us and we thank you for him and the important role he plays in our lives and the name of Jesus our Savior. They went around and saw some documentaries or read an article or something and there was an article last year. Sure that was on and it was about what is wrong with this because I don't have my computer. Open the one of the things that they were interested in was how pirates were depicted in. This article is not necessarily early. The bad guys. Well this is right at the time that they're giving me crap about doing pirateswithoutborders dot com pirates gotta earn do pirates man. When you're out there you know? So when they read the letters of Captain Mark The chair of the organization Asian he read the book and he goes. Wow either awesome you know. How'd you come up with it? And we'll go through and and by at the time I get to it. It's down to a few pages and then we whittled it down to paragraphs kind of thing. This time I was the one dive in and and Dhabi helped me would supply me with a bunch of stuff and everything but I had a different tack that I wanted to take. I'm going to present the presentation. Tation to you guys and try and you know wrap it up and skip to the end and But it's interesting what I found out and the perspective that I had and how it's going to go into twenty twenty twenty and this is going to make it worth the subscription to freedoms Phoenix. They're black kids all over on the bus on the bus they had already you know went through the certainly poor parts of town a lot of these young kids. They were children of migrant workers that picked the oranges and citrus and so so on so one time they did the reverse route on the school bus instead of when we get on the school bus they had already gone through the poor towns amount which were out sand beechy areas kind of dunes nothin and not worth nothing and it was ten route. You you know Barrios like it was in Rio de Janeiro or something on the hill I mean it was. It was shantytowns and all the kids started coming out on the the bus and they come pick us up against the school they go back as reverse dropped us off you know. And the way alto hinterland. Wherever they were and dropdown moth? One time they went the reverse when dropping us off we they went the other way and went to their poems. I and then us. I'm not sure why they did that but they did it. And we see and I'm not sure what impact it was supposed to have other than we go. Damn you're poor don't don't but we don poor so it was I don't know if that was embarrassing for them or not but during that time there a lot of the black kids that were angry and most of them were. I mean we were just friends and the kids were like. Wow this guy you know the bigger better faster than the other okay. You're on my team. You know air but the Angry and they were there. I don't remember ever saying in school or two people or yellow now doors or windows. The car I just that wasn't a thing and I don't think it it was with my friends and stuff either but it certainly my parents generation. Now that it's like the older guys are really locked into some things and for me. I just like if that ever went out of use entirely when bother me one bit. I mean I don't care but the But yeah it's more than some. It's like somebody yelling at you and you and it's derogatory mean and everything but you've got enough self confidence and esteem that you just kind of you feel bad for them you know for saying it. They go wow man really and I feel a lot of with that in this impeachment stuff they just go out and going there so it's like that it's like these racial slurs that they just you know trump trump. You know it's like you know like the orange man or something you might as well be saying whatever going this is comes from somewhere. There's something eighteen. Almost feel sorry for them. But it's like with reporting on foreign policy. We're GONNA talk about Ivan Eland in the third hour from the independent institute. He's really he's got it going on. We want to know everything about Isis Turkey and Syria trump foreign policy crane right man. He's one just turn on you. Just do it and then we got talk man no cleared to go. You know so. I'm looking forward to that. We haven't talked to Ivan and a while and Taking care of but when you an another country looking at the United States and how we act as a government and so on and how we treat other countries and how I mean at some point they gotta feel sorry for us and you know we live in had come. What the Heck you look in Italy or sometimes their government is just wild man? You guys got a rough. I thought we had it rough. And it's do. We all need to be pitied by everybody that we have government. I mean seriously and to get maintain power they then those will do any and everything everything everything what would they they not do. Start a war. I mean come on. These people are messed up in the head and if they're willing to do that to get power they sure as hell or will do more to keep it when you talk to reporters. They don't know anything they don't have a life. These guys are at been in handpicked because of their philosophy that government is the solution they get rewarded for it. There's a work has it the peabody what is it they call here in Arizona remember they were all aflutter back in the late ninety s or local television stations. They get awards they make a big deal out of it and Yada Yada Yada Yada Yada and the criteria was did you cause a law to be passed. Did you cause a law passed. That's all I wanNA know change policy. Did you get a new branch government. You New Department something did you. Did you change move us. Towards what more government while you get a prize for that whole if you cut it eliminated something. Oh and they bring out the poster child who got screwed by your policy or whatever and and you're not on the air anymore now that kind of thing. So I'm wow how. When do we all learn while we have a chance? Now there's a chance I'd say one in a million so you're saying there's a chance yes I mean that kind of thing so in in some parallel universe they win and they got it. Why because somebody or a group of people was sparked by something that gave them a change of opinion and then it becomes general public opinion and stuff happens because people want it and if one of the things you want to get rid of bad people governing you what do you do? I'll do like Tom. Clancy does and all his Jack Ryan novels but if you had the right guy in charge of everybody how about that. Not Anybody in charge anybody talk about that you know. So this is what I think is evolving to and certainly more so. I'm been around long enough fifty eight years old I I don't think of myself as fifty eight. I think of myself as as as I don't know I don't think of myself as an age. Just think of myself as a philosophy out here helping. As many many people's I can't a lot of times. They're young guys you know Keith does an anarchist podcast. And he's he's all buttoned up with James Corbett. But you know people ask questions and he's going. Yeah December tenth is is common. They'RE GONNA take down my challenges. No you're exactly the kind of guy that they do and so and Larkin Rosa's The had his book most dangerous superstition superstation. So that helped a lot of over talking about and Keith goes man I need to get on I I need to get off of. I need to pull my staff get to strip and I go well L. Thomas Friedman. You know do this. I'm not here to convince you I'm just here to help you understand. Damn why I'm so convinced seeking the truth that the pirate meam is going to be popular in the twenty twenty. And why would you think about the most common mascot names United States schools sports teams and so on are mostly animals like the number one is eagles. Twelve hundred seventy three three teams or eagles. Imagine that I mean you know the eagles a fighting. But they're not really fighting. They're having sex so anyway. They Eagles Number One twelve. Seventy three number two is tigers eight. Eighty one okay and then mostly animals and then of course. There's Vikings and Moyers Spartans Trojans Patriots Nights Pioneers Braves Raves. Cavaliers Demons Satan is there how many Satan symbols are out there. My High School was the Satan Symbol really the demons they actually want. Asu Sundial L.. Sun Devils de Paul which is a Catholic Institution in Chicago is the DePaul Blue Demons. Wake Forest Demon Deacons okay. So there's you know I didn't see any ref. Well this is like top ten top twenty twenty one. Yeah I hope I I WANNA say panic. Yeah okay well. In the top twenty they had no rebels. That's kind of against all flags. Well South Mountain in Phoenix. which has more of a Black Latino school? They used to be the southbound rebels and they changed it to the Jaguars because the rebels connotation was a little more of the hoodie confederate. I mean they're thinking actually were. We're not quite blue Blue and gray but competitor going better and there are some ministry did something they changed it. Okay okay well. Everybody's changing everything. Well also I didn't include rebels even though that could have been a pirate but out of number twenty out of the top hundred or something but number twenty was pirates at two fifty. Five but raiders was that to two hundred eighty two now. The Oakland Oakland Raiders there pirates. Okay so it's a pirate thing so I added pirates and raiders together and it's five thirty seven so that's number seven so of the pirate logo logo the pirate Motif the pirate concept. That's number seven in all sports teams. You know so I'm going. Yeah it's part of our culture. There's something going on here. Top Ten states on the top ten that you have the states in the top ten with pirate is Oklahoma Oregon in Arkansas. I'm like where the hell that come from. I mean I don't know why they're pirates. You know but as popular now then I'm going okay. You know kids didn't costumes and so on right in Alaska and Twenty fifteen twenty sixteen and twenty seventeen to most popular costume was pirates Alaska. I 'cause I don't know and and Wyoming in two thousand seventeen. That was their most popular one. Now's looking on Google search terms and you know I guess sales they had and whatever they how how they determine this wherever the costumes were now of course they're like you know in twenty nineteen. It's it you know like clowns and crap which is number two spiderman three goes dinosaur descendants. Whatever the hell that means clown a clown and it kind of go in the same one then number seven was fortnight night eight was chucky? You know then nine one thousand nine hundred eighties Unicorn Rabbit Pirate pyros number twelve okay but you can see all of this is just a bunch of marvel crap app you know they got at Walmart or something but pirates is always hanging in there. You know so I'm going all right so it's a pirate thing. Where's the state support for this? Where does this and who's the offended party? You know who's the one that's going. Hey Man you're you're appropriating my my pirate lore by Pirate Eric Culture my pirate haircut by pirate. You see there's nobody complaining you know or could complain. Pirates pirates your appropriating my pirate. I can do whatever I want. So it's that attitude is the thing that I was going on about now. You have other names references like Pirate like buccaneer. Corsair Marauders privateers. Yeah corsairs you know. Yeah of course air. It's a seawolf a pirate. That's why you when I looked up the source I was looking for a name. You know he's like my son's eighty hours old and I I got a girl names I didn't have and I like Khan Rathikant ethicon Ricardo Montalban. You know it's kind of a king you just cool bite couldn't on tribal you know so I was just like I just wouldn't cut it right now so I went home and took a nap and I going back to the hospital and they're going to be waving some form in me. I you know you. You gotTA FILL LAWYER STATE FORM OR YOU'RE GONNA die right whatever so you know every name so this is I get I get this name. This is mine so I go all right. I opened up the SARS. I just flipped it. And it said Corvette corvair Corvette Corsair. Now I didn't know this accord according corvair was the GM car or something. I don't think it meant anything else. Then you had there was core. Corvette is a type of boat. It's it's like a PT boat a patrol boat ashore boat kind of thing and then of course the car and so on but didn't they had corsair you know. Of course there F- for you Corsair. I share the famous goal. Wing plane will were to fight. Or you know. Black Sheep Squadron CASTA and type of ship and it's kind of sounded kind of party Corsair boob done. My Dad goes on Corey. I can't believe you name a kid. I go all the more reason to do. So of course they're now we're that comes from its French now. Corsairs privateers though they were authorized conduct raids on shipping of a nation at war with France on behalf of the French crown. Seize vessels and cargo were sold at auction would the Corsair captain entitled to a portion of the proceeds. Although not French French navy personnel corsairs were considered legitimate combatants in France and allied nations for providing the commanding officer of the vessel was in possession of a valid letter of Marque. These letter marks that trade. That course The ladder giving corsairs her name. So this letter of mark or letter of course is were Corsair. Came from so. These are officials by acting on behalf of the French crown if captured by the enemy they could in in principle claim treatment as prisoners aboard stead of being considered pirates so they were pirates of the barbary pirates and North Africa. When the Ottoman Empire was going on there called Turkish corsairs so of course there at the pirate for the crown sometimes out so that's of course Erique from there's ducking near and private? Talk Live seven nights a week from seven to ten eastern live on the Liberty Radio Network at L. R. N. DOT FM. This is the Liberty Radio network broadcasting the latest liberty oriented audio content. Twenty four hours a day at L. R. N. Dot. FM to be a part of the show call six zero two two six four two thousand eight hundred six. Oh Two two six four twenty eight hundred hundred and now Ernest handcock. Okay we'll get back to the pirate thing here real quick. This is key stewing over there. He's taken surveys for Democratic Democrats debate clips and. Did you watch the debate absolutely not. I've got better things to do. But you taken down survey absolutely they they send me your frank loss. You know if you remember back in the day with Ron Paul slant his questions to the potential republish. Oh Oh so it's him. I'm doing it. So they give you clips of somebody saying something stupid on the debate. Stage proximate Lee five debate clips to ten debate clips of any length of fifteen seconds. Forty five seconds for example and Beato. I did a survey on the previous debate. Are the previous of the previous debate where he had suggested something about taking away rifles and take away. Your gun are fifteen ours. Now it's property. What did you write that one Well we start out at fifty fifty right there in the mid line and if you like it a little bit just ever so subtle. It's fifty one if you love them if you want to let your own impregnate you're right little right. It's one hundred and of course if you disagreed greet zero. And so that that cursor went from fifty zero real quick and you see the result. Everybody we don't get to see the results however I believe see. They always have a timetable. So these debates end probably at eleven PM at midnight eastern coast time since we're on mountain standard now. We used to be on Pacific but at at the time was on Pacific so I get these clips. Perhaps before I go to bed at about ten ish so they want these clips said before three. Am Friday morning. Because I believe he wants to go on. TV Your TV or something on the recent his information with a quick results on we'll get more to that. We look forward to that. You know the other thing frank. Lots he was as a young guy he made his name by doing the. Ross Perot thing. From Ninety two he went out and went young. Twenty something guy when what the heck is going on we were right in the middle of that you know and it was you know where did this. This comprised eat explain it to day them those and whatever so that's where he came from all this alternatives but he's got a bent no his butter butter bread's buttered okay buccaneer buccaneer. Now we're that originally came from this. I keep in mind the Spanish Empire had had a lot of the new world and they were they were just. How many ships can we send back to Spain with golden it? Their forty million. The last time I looked at some ridiculous number forty million indigenous people died from disease and sorts and mostly disease l.. Europeans came wiped out entire civilizations. We don't know what happened to these people and Pyramids got overgrown by the jungle of six hundred years of. Are you kidding me. I know why because they freaking kneeled died. That's why so anyway. So what they did is they occupied much of the new world and all those ships had the golden everything stuff they ripped off from the INCAS and everybody else it was all about gold and commend. ooh You got some golden. We're taking it. So the name originally applied to the landless hunters of wild boars and cattle in the largely uninhabited areas of Tortuga Tortuga is on the northwest corner of Haiti off that now Haiti they call it Hispaniola which has eighty okay so tortuga you keep hearing about that. That was a little island off of the meat. They caught was smoked over slow fires in little huts. And then French they called those bucaneers means so there are bucaneers you know so that beef jerky makers that's why bucking near really was now a privateer. The private person or ship that engaged used in maritime warfare under commission of war. That's why we call him. Letters of Captain Mark they were letters of Marque and reprisal which is his female character. So we're going on fine. We got a letter from mark. Wins you know. So I'm going you know. Then we have. This percentage of the share usually went to the issue of the commission the crown so they would say. Here's a letter Margaret Pirate. You're out there wage more mortgage I get a cut your all legit. Well it got to the point to where like the British Empire they used. It was some ridiculous Nicholas Mouse. Seven to nine thousand privateer ships in their wars. It became a regular thing even George Washington. They hired a bunch of mercenaries. They did it letters of Marque and they said you know all these British ships coming in supplying the red coach in Boston. We'd rather them not have it and we'd like to have go gets up so they go out and baby boom. They laid waste now. Of course the British officers and the crown there thing. All these undisciplined disciplined harrity wealth. George Washington said that they're not under my control and but then there are some like anonymous letters that were red and parliament go. Look these guys are motivated by profit and patriotism and they're pissed off at something that somebody did to them they were Shanghaied into service or their escape gape you'll forty percent of pirates were escaped African slaves. There you know it's like half of the pirates were slaves that were freed by other pirates. They know this so that's why they're so popular. They are embraced by the American culture because they were like screw you John. Hancock was a pirate he was a smuggler eating. Get permission slip from the crown. He was firefly serenity was captain now so this is why they're so in popular certainly in the Americas because they were middle finger to the crown now. September nineteenth is international. Talk like a pirate day. Okay you knew this right now talking day so talk like a pirate day. I didn't know how recent it was. It was back in ninety five and June ninety five there was but our respect for the observance of the Normandy landings. They didn't choose. You know the day. Happy is a racket ball injury images friend planning God. You sound like a pirate talk like a Pirate Day got you are all day because his ankle hurt or something so it was like okay between them Talk like a pirate day. Now they send a letter about their invented. Holiday to the American Syndicated Humor Column This Day Burien oa-to and he liked it and They did a drunken sailor. Sing along Gogo video and all I mean it was just fun and it became a thing. An international national celebrated talk like a pirate day. How many days are there like that? You know that's not recognized by got some government. They're going to give a holiday to pirates. I don't think so which is all the more reason why happens so talk like a pirate day. Now we never made a big deal and I get a lot the emails and text and it kind of comes and goes but one day. We're GONNA make a big deal out of talk like a pirate day and there'll be some pirates without Borders Mel when when's the next one right right before the two thousand election cycle so might we have some fun then I knew it could be now the republican pirates. What they he did from seventeen o six a seventeen eighteen Nassau Bahamas was heavy pirates? The reason was is that the Spanish kept attacking report which was under British control. Finally everybody just left and the pirates move okay. Fine we'll take it. You want attack US bring it on. We need more ships so they kind left them alone and for a decade they just You know they. They partied hard. Well how do you keep a pirate crew in line. When they're pirates parrots because they voted for the captain they voted on what raid they? Were going to do but in battle. And you didn't question to captain shot and justifiably. No Hell No. We're in battle. Oh you do it. L. I tell you other than that. They determined everything. And that mentality that idea that concept of you own yourself south you signed on voluntarily. You voted for your leaders. You kept them in check. Your representative was the quartermaster. That was the basis of American freedom. The political world is a maddening cesspool of corruption and lies. Nobody tells the truth nobody keeps keeps campaign promises. Nobody obeys the constitution. Nobody puts people first. How can we ever escape? This web of tyranny vote for nobody. Oh Buddy Hi. My name is nobody. Whatever you're not seeing that you gotta see Communist Firefly's firefly? He's a non firefly watching. What only thirteen episodes you know including the movie and so yeah you'd enjoy it? I mean I know but you're not a big TV guy. You're not sitting at home in your underwear watching TV. TV or sitting at home in my underwear but not necessarily watching TV now. Whatever you're doing the cold enough for minors yet is getting close? I'm looking Adam and perhaps I should even get one more of the plastic and then I'm going to have to eat them. The bunch out there the productive on your talk conducting and then there's the four. I have to motion. Things have yet to more great if now go to depot to get some motion daime fans or something now the actual four inch wide circular. Oh the dryer ducting now. What happened is last winter because Keith has solar so he has has like at the end of the year? He's credited about two thousand kilowatts this this year. What you're going to burn through? So what he was doing. He was running and four minors and just a burn off his electricity. Because he's banked up that he has a give back to the you know the power company for like like nothing like two cents. A watt killer. Water something some ridiculous stupid tank embarrassing going. I need to burn and ninety. I need to live large. We're GONNA WE'RE GONNA. We'll be eighty five degrees now. It's one thing when it gets cold here because below freezing at night sometimes or does and you know and you're walking around in your underwear because damn near like I'm eighty five ninety degrees in here. These damn minors going. And I've got a sweetie come in in January my sweetheart for Providence Rhode Island's coming thinks she's going to love it because we're going with the Grand Canyon but before that will take place both Thursday in Tuesday's she'd be warm and all green. Well this is what's going on. Is it the same sweetie. That was your number one sweetie of the sweeties or we got new sweeties on love. Just didn't go now so on the next all right. Now you're not swiped right on all time whatever that means to you. You don't know he goes dancing and said Ou pick me pick me now. Let's go ahead and talk about your trip. I live here well for just Brenton Woodstock interesting because I want to get to that we Europe and everything but you know it's I'm frank contaminated. We're sitting here hanging out. We're doing something wholesome start getting these texts. You know from Art Keith. I'm Brenton what shows where they created the woods after World War no it was the the Fiat currency where the United States dollar was going to be the post World War Two currency of the world. It was the creation of the Bretton Woods Agreement where the US dollar was good as gold man. It wasn't and so from that point on all presidents and Congress and all legislators would be able to negotiate with countries in such a way that they could do a quid pro quo meaning. I'll give you a palette of these dollars. You'll do this for me. And that's what they've been doing it for years his by had people over some salad and we're playing towel here. Not Actually. Donna made this one. We don't know whipped ended up. She actually brought the style. That really aren't that you did. Well I was but you need Juju guest guest speaker that had had a pulse so get your but on all right. Ah So what happened was it was Nixon administration. And that's when we went off the gold standard of seventy one thousand shake or something like that and this is when Ron Pogo here. We go. And that's when he ran for office and it was because of this because what he knew what's happening now he he knew is inevitable now they keep you know whistling past the graveyard and kicking the can down the road. But it just gets to where there's going to be. You'll wake up on Monday. And America's done now America the America Inc will be done and the government is faster we get off of that and screw them and go precious metals and CRYPTO. Or you're not damn you know we'll be fine but they're just drag us down with them. The titanic will sink and they WANNA put a chain around our ankle and lash it to the Freakin. An Blade Axel or something. I mean they were drag us down your your last two the railings or something. Because I'm going to new pirate uh-huh so what it was is to Gaul which was the head of France. He was the same that was World War. Two hero of pattern. uh-huh becomes president of France or something kind of thing. So He's there and he knows what's going on with the Vietnam War. Because France was in Vietnam. They had Vietnam going on their French plantations. And so on that after World War Two all these people that they had enslaved doing their rubber staffer where they were doing go. Nah We don't want French colonial rule anymore. We just bought this to get red of the Japanese and so on so and you want us. You're GonNa be our boss again. You'll screw that well. So he and Ho Chee men that was I. Oh I think he's educated in France was western educated so anyway I was the deal. Get Rid of Japan. We'd fight like them for you and we're free and they have Kinda SORTA free you know. They kind of reneged on that so then the French were fighting in Indochina and French Indochina. That's all I. They call it French Indochina and so then the people go up and finally the French go network done. We're out by you. Want that bad. And they got their ass kicked bunch then the US go. We'll pick me pick me. We WanNA do. We'll take care of it for you for whatever means what. You're going to get some rubber plantation and I don't know what the hell because they could all it's it's a communist domino effect all following and going Communist. And whatever so I'm going yeah just you know you know. Give them a transistor radio. Ah Within fifteen years will be back anyway but anyway so what they did is the. US came in and it was the movie with Mel Gibson. We were heroes. Rose are we were soldiers or something like that kind of depicted. This new technology with these Huey helicopters mounted calvary was coming in the Air CAV so instead of horses now they had helicopters so they would come in kick ass and they WANNA battle full of themselves who get some and and Vietnamese. They knew they go now. You guys are you guys WanNa play. You're in here. We go and Vietnam. War started they needed a bunch of money to fund this thing. It was all they they were you know they were just printing money which was devaluing the dollar because it was supposed to be redeemable in gold and it was certainly maybe not for us but for these deals at your they may with foreign countries it was they give them Paletta glutz heavy and we just give you the dollar thing well golf Paul came and he goes white man speak with forked tongue. I want my gold back and here it is and they came in with all your dog. GIMME my goal. Give me my goal. Give me my go. Give me my goal. got to the point man. We don't have enough and they got a bunch. Go they start redeeming. All our goals gone and we. We're screwed so in national national defense here comes Richard Nixon goes poon the goal windows closed. We're not on Brenton Wood's agreement anymore. Because we just decided and because because so now you're dollars are worth crap and whatever. So that's what was going on. And that's what motivated Rand Paul and started this cascade gold bugs and all this kind of thing you had to go and back. Then I remember when gold was set at eighty dollars an ounce or something and then it shot up oh my God ought to fifty and I remember it was eight hundred you know in the late seventy s when I you know about eighty shot up my dad and and I'm making bank and so it was at this time that became obvious to a lot of people that was the math and his Bretton Woods. Keith went went there to channel some communist about something I don't know why are you there now. My sweetheart she she actually booked a room there and an expansion imagine it was incredibly expensive each room with six hundred. But here's the crazy thing. So when she walked in the room she felt like this room was sub sub OBA's standard and. She's a very easy to get along person but there was like blood or something on the carpets. There was things on the walls that are missing tiles in the bathroom and she was saying. Hang if I'm paying this much. GimMe no room but see but the Washington hotel was built in the eighteen hundreds and so people stay there not necessarily before the luxury of it. The history of it but it was luxury back in the day. So is there any redeeming value. Had Was it nice or it was very classy. I mean very classy hotel for a couple of Michigan tiled school money but they ended up topping a room so when they come to a room for one night guess who she brought along from the second letter of Captain Mark Any pirate knows that commerce is communication markets condense oceans of Information Asian into a single price innovations and communication are circumventing the scrutiny of the crown this signals a change in the coin of the realm the crown uses digital currency accuser Vail sensor seize and destroy wealth that will so pirate currency must protect us from this weaponized money. Chernick Narzan Keith. He's he's telling us about the trials and tribulations. No there's we were confused. He had a babe that he was all numbered with from Vancouver. Because I guess guest dancing with the stars is international thing and too far away and so on but I remember at the Vaccine Education Summit. You stop by for the party that at night time to hang about so I'm going yeah. So how's that trump. No I got into you know this is the new. When you're talking about okay so so you have to make sure we get this right because you're so do i? Can you know you're jumping around. Man We gotta keep track so this one is still going strong So you're still as amored. Oh Yeah I do I do. I hear like somebody's going to start living with somebody or moving or some well. Yeah maybe I don't know I mean I'm always up for anything you know. Especially if she moved here oh she loves her. She's going to be here January. Oh Yeah I ah stuck to stop and go. She'll be crypto warmed. She's all good. Oh Yeah you what we did we took. We did the same thing. I drove back to Massachusetts with Bob. Because he has his own there. When you as we're up there in Vermont New Hampshire New Hampshire area? We were up there. Britain Woods Woods. That was the same time same. frigging Time Oh God where was I when I saw your tax. Maybe I was with Bob. Yeah anyway so Brin New Hampshire isn't it yeah When we were back there and we set up now based on your experimentation tation here well? We put the miners in his basement. He'd sat whole house had dial it back. We're going they do too but then it started getting into freezing gene. So he's doing the math because he has the fuel oil and he's doing all right. How much am I doing? How much is this doing? I getting paid back. Some does and it was working. He's going wow it's like like half and then he goes but then I got the bill. It's not what they say. There's a whole bunch of other taxes. They put on they go. Oh you're only pay owe thirteen cents. That's a kilowatt plush and then one thing I found out here that really killed or mining reasonable you know sharing that with friends to warm their houses and in whatever is is because what they call a fee is not really a fee. A fee to me is a set price per month. Well these fees are based on and how much are used. It's a tax. It's a rate it's a IT'S A it's a lie as what is the sons of so I'm it's one more reason I'm like no I mean just do solar start making her own I have this all wired up and I just haven't got panels because I Well limited resources I mean you know. It's got the Bird Deborah. So we make these portable little units for when we go camping and everything I got power our our one thing that we're going to do for Jack Lope. You know. You didn't go this last year. First Year I missed it was pretty. It was pretty cool. Oh you know Bob and I we donald in 'cause oh I had to run back. Shera had Leo her twelve grand baby. So that was I was risking Zoom Humaidan. Just throw it on and come back and you know. See baby the main thing that we're going to work on this year is that we got got the power thing down you know. We've got a bunch of panels. He's got the system created these portable systems so we got power taking care of the only limiting and factor. There is for Bobby. They're more a couple of weeks is his water tanks and bring member that one year. We brought that big white barrel and Donna. Donna got hot showers and we didn't hear you gotTA heated showers. We got that taken care of got nice bathroom taking care of going. Yeah I think we're going to do the shower dome thing but the problem album is the water so what it is. We figured out how much it is because we're up there during the monsoon the first weekend in August so it rains at least an hour a day a little bit You know dries out in that meadows has sandy. And it's like you didn't know what rain but we're GONNA put big tarps up like we had that big tarp today did and everything funding and funneling down to fill up those big totes out here but when we did that you can't take the water at mass so so heavy you need to collect and replenish the water there so we do this and we did the math on it. How much Dan? We get. Good little rain meantime. You'll fill up one of those barrels and twenty minutes fifteen minutes. Yeah now we can do. We'll be fine. I'm going okay. Let's do that. Yeah so he's going to go up like a week early and we'll get up there and we'll get all the water thing and the trees air across the meadow and kind of sat and everything because there was a family see there that had a nice restaurant it was really good food at. We did not lack for food there. What they had is one of those horse shower worth things with a propane you put a hose up to it and it kind of hot water and everything three bucks? You go in took a nice hot shower. Came out you're done I'm going hell. Yeah I knew it would be. You liked this now before John Dean these guys had done sore once and it didn't generate enough. It was good for not for like a campsite. I mean you know but this is just how much propane and water you got. So we're going. Yeah remember. We had the hope system we can reclaim the gray water and use it again now. And that's twenty five-set shower. There's a three dollar shower. So that's the only thing that was really kind of two things. One generators just made a bunch of noise and it wasn't cool to ATV's make a bunch of noise is not that cool so we've gone solar for a lot of the energy electric everything is electric and now they have conversion kits for ATV's. I got one back there. I'm thinking I'm going to convert and so bob. And then they had these bicycles goals they had a mountain bike. It looks like a mountain bike with electric motor on it is called a solo or something like that. The Energy Cross Desert fifteen mile open class bunch of motorcycle race. It was two laps at this one circuit. Fifteen miles yes. He had to start five seconds after the last gas. One win a couple of guys stalled or wait. He used way. Nandor freaking over the horizon arises dust cloud before he even got to go and he won on a mountain bike electric against these motorcycles and he had to beep all the time because they didn't know he was behind Adam bbb miracle. These things are awesome but about two hundred yards before the end ran out of power and he had to to push it the last two hundred yards and he's still what I'm telling you man. It's here it's now. How would you charge it? Well Yeah Bunch of panels out in the meadow out there or something you just charge it and a lot of the stuff that we do mostly breakfast. You know. We're all the clients is going on everything so we're just charging the habit in all our phones. onyx I kinda crap because then you gotta take a trip in the car turn on the car and then you're drain in that kind of crap you know but we got these solar generators that we did. So I'm just I I'm this Jackie Loeb thing. I think we might do another contest this coming year because we saw a lot of innovation. We did that well. The the the fit the physical fitness contests sir my interest with the shot. Put the disk the gophers year. We did that now. Keep an eye. We keep talking about in that meadow. We're going to have some Olympic thing picks and do that. I know we just always get so busy. And the one thing about Jack Lopez you just go and you don't have to do anything but bob retired and on vacation so he's like back act working on his childhood home. Parents built it in the fifties so he wound up going to him after the death of his mother. Sisters and a brother there air. But Bob is you know I got the muse brother and he comes uses pickup truck get some plywood and kind of stuff so we just went head down plowed on fixing up his basement and do a demo and all that kind of crap moving things and he's sending me pictures regular. I mean there's so much stuff going on. The world's on fire at foreign policy is out to quit it and the impeachment stuff. He's he's not doing. They don't care what he said all that kind of crap and it's just that you're not doing it the way we want dammit knees doing it wrong and we and the people voted wrong. We're going to undo it and kind of what so. Hopefully we're not gonNA talk about that too much but I do want to talk about What policy has has been what it is now what it's going to be and how it affects us and do we care about elections? WHATEVER BUT SYRIA I L and welcome to the show and explain Amos? Give us some insight on Syria. What's well of course you know? It had a civil war for number of years now. Very glad he civil war We saw all sorts of refugees coming in Europe but Cetera so what trump was doing We've had we have excuse me. We have forces there and we had about a thousand forces there and throw it was only about one hundred forces because he's putting in different forces were heavy heavy forces to guard the oil And he withdrew. He pulled back from the Turkish Syrian border And the Turk- went in and and You know attack. The people that were were allied with us the Syrian Kurds. And so while it's a good idea to get out of there I think He sort of got intimidated by everybody's criticism so he went back into to guard the oil From Isis although the heavy armor we fought isis before around the oilfields without heavy armor. We just issues the Kurds and Airpower but so I think the armor is sort of designed for defense etcetera to go against Russia The oil isn't isn't it. It's not that great a field and that we we still unfortunately everybody's still assumes that we need to defend the oil when we probably didn't even need in need to in the seventies and we certainly don't eat too now with to do well. How are they defending that? We're getting I mean. USA's we're going to defend the oil is just gonNA use a bunch of tanks circle or they got drones of they're bringing in a satellite missiles of we're GONNA kick butt or they. He just figured they throw army men there and all of a sudden they'll stay away I mean what are they talking about. What are they doing yeah? I think it's a presence title defence. It's just scaring away the Russians and You know other forces. Maybe the Syrian government made even the Turks from trying trying to grab it And certainly the Kurds have been interested in oil as well although they had the area beforehand And we're now now fine with it but You know it is. It isn't Syria. So the Syrian government would like to take back as much territory in Syria as they could So you know that's basically in the Russians or the other group that they're probably trying to keep it from. The policy is a little bit hazy and it's probably unnecessary but but I think now we're since we put back in the chips are net withdraw only a hundred troops. So we've gone down from about one thousand nine hundred there which isn't much of a withdrawal but I think every time trump wants to do these types of things. the He's got problems. He lies on their security. bureaucracies have to more traditional view of what we should do so You know they try to dissuade them or whatever whatever and it back in December when he when he told the people to pull out They sort of ignore them and hoped it would go away and I recently asked that recently was at a high level meeting at the Pentagon and I asked him why why right that was and they. They didn't really have a good answer. He's president commander in chief are he is not and this is one thing I want to get your opinion on this when they did the missile strafing or how you call it a bunch of mid dozens. They need their lease was up or something on the Assyrian Airport. That time. Do you think that was actually ordered by trump or he had to just own it. Well there was everything they allegedly used chemical weapons against a you know the the opposition and I think trump wanted to highlight eight his differences with Obama. Because if you remember Obama promised to do something if they used chemical weapons and then of course. There was this allegation that they did before when Obama was president and he didn't really follow through with the red line and so I think trump did want to distinguish himself from Obama. So I think that's why he he authorized the strike but it was a fairly limited strike. It was sort of. It was totally symbolic. Because they told the rations they were gonNA attack the place. It's so everybody cleared out before the missiles hit every member damp in was the gas attack. Real I mean. That was a big controversy to that. It's hey greg has been has been right and also of course. The Syrian government keeps blaming opposition for using gas and the opposition addition keeps using you know blaming government. And so you know that's the way it is and McKay Civil War oversleep think. They shouldn't really get up right into a quagmire we were. Why do I care about any of this but there is one thing? I'm thinking of it. The white helmet guy that you know what people have been saying. He's just intelligence of whatever for my six and Blah Blah Blah. All of a sudden. He woke up dead. You know here recently. I think the Russians whatever whatever what do you know about that well. I don't know I don't have any inside information that particular thing but I I think that Certainly there are a lot of spies rooting around simply. Because it's a chaotic situation. And that sort of thing espionage managed thrives and in chaos because nobody is around to find out who the WHO the people are. Get rid of one way or the other but apparently in this case it'd it'd be one of those I I don't know if he was not. He certainly doing laudable work by trying to rescue people as the white hat. But sometimes you know spy agencies. They don't care especially foreign spy agencies. Don't care who they recruit who they You know ended up coopting So it's hard to say. What is what his real purpose was there if there was any alternative alterior purpose that supposedly when we come back? It's Focused on serious more. Because I want to know what. The relationship between them and Russia is and Kirk Ukraine's interesting not in this all impeachment crap everything but what. The relationship is with Russia and what's Russia's because Putin ms mogul from the six letter of captain mark a pirate's life is characterized by voluntary interactions. They don't want to serve the foreign policy that he wants to do. And stated and got elected on as hell hell no we need to have some Russia war China got nukes and stuff and make some money. So what do you think and that line of questioning going on. Well I think you know. They don't like the policy Actually the report Congressional for Republicans and Democrats. The establishment does not like policy of Being less involved DOC with Ukraine simply. Because it's very far forward. Remember George Bush wanted to let it into NATO which caused the problems that we're now seeing and I never got accepted into me yet but the pledge is still out there and I think trump sort of bristles at You know especially with Ukraine. Because he you know he came into office wanting to have a better relationship with Russia's so naturally actually he's GonNa be against that but the but all the diplomats and also the congressional Republicans and Democrats They WANNA give lethal aid to Ukraine and so they disagree on the policies. The Democrats also say well he was. You know self-dealing for his own benefit. That's the the other. That's the bigger issue for impeachment but the underlying policy They don't agree with either and That's very evident. All diplomats testified are more into aiding Ukrainian. It's sort of people that were just testifying. This morning they serve it demonstrates me a little little door back live by the way we blew through the rejoiner. I'm sorry body but anyway continue your train of thought I'm sorry the diplomats that were Testifying swearing at the impeachment hearings It really goes to show how they can get co opted by the country that they're serving in and the State Department has always had a problem. That why they rotate diplomats but slow. These people have go from one Ukraine posts or the other whether there at the State Department there in the office that does deal with Ukraine. They go back to you. You creating an embassy so they they build up expertise but they also get co opted by the country and I think that You know they were working to try to get this meeting. Fever fever shortly between trump Alinsky and so And they were sort of almost taking Ukrainian government's -sition so it's it's sort of true that they get a little co opted to the point that the one guy that was talking. Call Me Lieutenant. Colonel whatever the hell it was and Just weasley. I didn't watch the whole thing but this is what I got out of it. He is so enamoured Ukraine. Because he's from there he's Ukrainian and he's US and he was saying that they were offering him be defense secretary position of Ukraine and he was a US diplomat. I'm I'm like what the Hell is going on there. And they were definitely you know. I don't know if I'm getting America representing sure as hell wasn't doing what president wanted. This is what the Democrats are thinking. They're doing but this is not looking. Good well I mean you know He. I think he's well meaning I and he he does carry out that he was trying to carry out the policy of the foreign policy establishment but of course trump trump is always had this issue where where he has one policy in foreign policy establishment of his own government policy. And so the other I thought he is the policy. Let's see how many explain this to me. Either the president is in charge of foreign policy in commander in chief. He's not and if I got employees out employer employee employer lawyer public servants that the public elected. And I say this is what I want. Now we don't like it we're the bureaucracy where the deep state where the forever you know people in charge and we've got wait. Wait for the next guy I mean. Is that what you're saying. Well I'm saying yes. Well I'm what I'm saying is it. That's the way it's supposed to work. You're absolutely correct. Presents supposed has to make the policy but the the foreign policy establishment and I like to call it the deep state. 'cause you know I've been tired of this in in the past. It's really not a conspiracy in fact it's a conspiracy of incompetence usually but I like to call it the establishment the establishment is so Opposed opposed to his policy. And I think it's policy if carried out properly does have some merit I think in many of these places in in The Middle East certainly only because we really don't need to descend oil anymore even if we did in the nineteen seventy was which. I'm skeptical that the market would not bring the oil at the cheapest price to even back then but now we have the fracking. That's one thing now that we're back to Ukraine I think basically I'm also for for You know improving relations with Russia. It's hard to do in the current environment but but The the the establishment is very hostile to Russia and is a little too hostile to Ri- could well. I think you know the election election issue for one this need a boogeyman or they. A REAL THREAT IS RUSSIA GONNA invade New Jersey or something. I need to know why I I think I think Russia is only a shadow of its former Soviet Union south even now after recovered from the aftermath of the Wall Street falling down and everything else they have their military. They always have very good nuclear weapons. There are threat. They you know trying to only as a few. Do you know in the you know the teens of nuclear weapons that can do long range weapons of course Soviet or Russian have about what well we do so there are always a threat there but but as far as ground forces most of their army was never never recovered. They have a few it's Special Forces units which they a which some of them are operating in Ukraine. But the overall you're right yeah. Growth Russia is is not that great. And do we just need a threat or we just manufacturing a threat. It's like Russia Russia Russia Russia Russia. I saw a youtube lucrative Hausky did it was an interesting Christine. We are changing. It was sure like ten minute thing and all it was was watching call of duty or whatever the heck it was is one of these video games and and it was always the whole narrative through the whole thing Russia Russia we got rushing through the Russian. This rush right. He goes look man. This is permeated. Every level of our culture trying to wipe up the Russians are coming thing and I go are they know but what are they doing why why I even dare man and tell me they just need an enemy or are they a real threatened some way well. Of course we've always done that even cold. Were they exaggerated the Soviet threat. Brad I mean. This economy was always just a fraction of ours Nutty did have nuclear weapons and had tank army in Europe. And that's really what's changed. The threat has has been reduced because that tank army is not an East Germany because there is no east Germany anymore. We've expanded NATO right up to Russian border and I think Russia does have some legitimate legitimate concerns with that. I mean. They dated by Sweden Poland Germany twice Napoleon They're very flat. The North German plain. You know goes all the way across Europe into Russia through Ukraine and Poland. And that's why Ukraine and Poland are always the most important countries in Russia's near abroad so there's a threat and Poland is now in NATO and of course Ukraine. We're talking about Ukraine today because the United States has been trying trying to get Ukraine in the western camp. And I think that's kind of a dangerous thing because you have to give Russia to give Russia freakin porter. How much they hate us? They're up against all of our bases Iowa.
