Pacific time Monday through Thursday. You GET JEN and I. You're surely jeff rich on the microphone and generally didn't get to this while we're talking that'd be because we got caught up in in three one Verbiage but we've got We we have an opportunity for the San Antonio Spurs. You're not drinking out of it This particular evening but I I know that you do have a Spurs Tumbler somewhere around the studio here and you follow this team. You're familiar with the legendary. Tim Duncan and the Innovative Gregg Popovich and his lead assistant coach. Becky Hammon pop misses the gaming at Charlotte on Tuesday for quote unquote personal reasons in the Internet is up in arms because it was. Tim Duncan the assistant coach. And Not Becky Hammon. Who's been there for years? Lead assistant twenty. Fourteen says twenty fourteen so six years six years in five years. Plus so it it's Dunkin Dunk Dunk actually filled in for pop Back in November and the claim was that he had scouted the team. He was most familiar. Pop gotti jacket and Dunkin took over. Donor took over. So he did it for a little bit They lost one twenty one sixteen in that game but also he was a loser in his first win as a head coach because he has had coached previously to now but they lost but he goes to. He goes just one way or wire in even clean. He claimed that Heaven and hearty. Lisa's coaches made all the causes. You know obviously being becky Hammond made all the calls in. He just stood there and yelled at the players speculation that he wasn't going to address the media after the game which which he actually did do and everyone was upset. This game back in Carolina where Dunkin play college ball at wake forest. I'm not sure if he's from there but he did plays college while they're so a homecoming of sorts. Let's see you on this because Popovich didn't WanNa hear any of it. I think Gregg Popovich said something along the lines of You know I'm not here to make history so something to that effect and I Here here it is. I'm not here to make. History is what he said no question about having to the out Washington Post I get. It could be a little bit of a distraction especially the last minute. Fill in like this but were you with this. He's from the Virgin Islands. Tim Duncan okay. But okay so. This has happened It was on a whim when Top GOTTI jetted in November. This one. Obviously they kind of had a little bit of a plan that they were going to put him in no. He has not been a coaching in any capacity. Since two thousand fourteen becky has spent ever however he wore a spurs uniform for nineteen years. So I think maybe we give them a try and for all we know maybe the next time pop has to sell one of his cars off or whatever personal businesses conducting. Maybe they plan on letting Beki have a shot at it. Who knows. This is one instance. I think. Maybe it's not fair to you. Know to put the team and to put her under the microscope. Wayne you know this is a last minute kinda thing. Even if she's even she's doing everything other than you know. Blown the big whistle. All you know having the big clipboard. She's GonNa get a head coaching opportunity. She's going to be the first. Nba head coach. I was thinking that with the best that happened in Cleveland. Coming out of the All star break would be lying. Lindsay GOTTLIEB head. Coaching experience at At cal I was thinking that she might get the interim tag but. I don't think that they want to do that. I think that when a woman does get the job that they're gonNA have every opportunity to succeed which means neither one of those ladies should or or any other female should take the next job when it when it becomes inevitably open again. I of protests. I think that there needs to be a you know that it needs to be a solid situation. I think that you need to give a female chances to succeed so you don't end up with John. Beeline situation where it's just not a good. I think did I. What makes the most sense is promoting becky within when pop steps down? Even if Dunkin still there and I did the duck it would remain as head coach. And I think that the players would play for only there'd be any issues with that but I think you're absolutely right. You know when you consider that Becky Hammond has been there since twenty fourteen as an assistant. Coach Tim Duncan has been there since nineteen ninety seven. I don't know how long time of Pop spin there for all of it by. He's obviously familiar with pop system. The players are playing in pop system. Their bowls familiar her from this L. A. FROM THE ASSISTANT COACHING PERSPECTIVE. Which gives her more of an intimate knowledge of game plan and strategy? And things like that. But Tim Dunkin's also there. I mean he's been there for five. Minutes is one that somebody tweeted out or Beckingham. It is not invisible. Six for Popovich took over the Spurs. Say Two thousand six ninety six ninety six so the year before dunk every okay. So anyway that's That's the Hammond personal. Finding things to get mad about for the sake of getting mad. I this is more people than is the spurs there's no discourse will disperse your implicit tribute. Tuesday yeah okay. We'RE GONNA play relocated team of this evening joy. All right. We know that the Winnipeg jets moved to Arizona became the Phoenix. Coyotes who eventually became the Arizona coyotes. We know that Winnipeg had their team replaced by with the that's no longer in Atlanta. The thrashers had moved to Winnipeg so. We're not going to give you any low hanging fruit and you've heard all about me talking about the browns moving to Baltimore. Finger the knock off expansion team and you know. I pretty sure that you're familiar with the history. Colts moved to Indianapolis in the middle of the night from Baltimore. Yes so lost their team they had it replaced by the browns and the browns. Actually we'RE NOT THE FIRST TEAM TO LEAVE CLEVELAND. The Cleveland Rams actually existed there before the browns came into the NFL nineteen fifty the move to La in one thousand nine hundred fifty to allow room for the browns play in the NFL. In Cleveland in nineteen fifty where they won the championship. I believe they won the championship in their first year. But that's no that's part of Trivia Tuesday's just Everything's going to be from your lifetime. Which of course eliminated the opportunity to make our favorite joke about the jazz moving to Utah. They don't allow music. Do you recall where they came from. Call the jazz city that they resolved right. Yeah all over all over. Okay no no those were for any points but And you didn't. You didn't get any borders points. Five o'clock correctly offered them. But you didn't. You didn't get money. I thought it was one hundred one hundred bucks at that point. A thousand bucks. Oh we're just talking about fake money. Let's let's make it a half half mill for first question. We gotta make sure we get these in all right so This Sacramento France Sacramento Kings moved from this city where they had to be renamed the Kings as to not be confused with the baseball team that was also in town in nineteen eighty five. They moved from the city to Sacramento city thing. No one was expecting that. I don't think anybody was was there. On the BUZZER Shed nosers a baseball team. Kansas City bonus follow up from nineteen seventy to nineteen seventy by by the way it was the Cincinnati. Royals that move there. They were formerly the Rochester. Royals moved to Cincinnati so day royals moved to Kansas City where they couldn't beat the royals anymore. Because you have the baseball team there so What they split time with this Nebraska City from one thousand nine hundred eighty two to nineteen seventy five. Kansas City kings were the Kansas City slash blank kings. God the only two cities Omaha. You're all over at your all over Lincoln all right now. No question number two. The New Jersey devils moved East Rutherford in nineteen eighty two And they were formerly named the of the same name as an existing baseball team from a mountainous region in the western United States coming in rockies all over called the Colorado rockies existed as Hakim before they existed in baseball team. You probably didn't know that. If all right stratified lemurs number three number three in two thousand five this Canadian franchise move to Washington. Dc after splitting time between their Canadian city and San Puerto Rico in two thousand three and two thousand four Canadians he moved to DC and became the nationals expos. Poor Expos three out of three three out of three plus the bonus question which was only worth six points so so number four number four the Houston oilers left Houston after the one thousand nine hundred sixty s and became the Tennessee oilers The intended to play in this Tennessee city for two seasons before moving to their new stadium in Nashville in nineteen ninety nine but they only stayed there one year due to poor attendance. Which Tennessee city did the initially move to BLOW MEMPHIS MEMPHIS MEMPHIS? Really? Yeah so poor now. Well received at the Liberty Bowl in Memphis where the University of Memphis place played at. Everyone probably got to deal street and then just stopped there. They've just got us They actually had to play in Vanderbilt Stadium in National One Thousand. Nine hundred eighty eight So that people would lock them out and watch the Tennessee oilers. So the Tennessee oilers played in Memphis for a year. Then they played in Nashville Vanderbilt Stadium. And then they became the titans in nineteen ninety nine and moved into their current stadium which was originally Adelphia. Stadium it's Nissan Stadium. Now all right this promises to be a little bit more challenging super confusing that. That's kind of what I do if I say no I mean do we just have until I am ready you just going to like ramble on about something else until I say yeah fine. Let's just get a flirt with a flirting some bonus points out in front then. We're going to go anyway and we actually just going to word it more difficult. If you're not ready so since you already birds that you already. I will be as clear and concise as possible the Charlotte Hornets. You remember them. You know -til uniforms and they're they're back. They're back as the Charlotte Hornets. So like they're still hanging out. Yeah so they they left Charlotte. After the two thousand two season moved to New Orleans became the New Orleans Hornets and then in twenty thirteen the New Orleans became the Pelicans so becoming the jazz again because Utah really likes that name. Apparently even though they don't like music music or alcohol three point two percent the percent so so there was actually a season where there were no hornets at all because New Orleans was already the Pelicans and Charleston Meantime got an expansion team in two thousand and four. So what was the name of that expansion team kind of other stupid bird? Was Sharon or something the Charlotte. Hey is it the shorthand now the Charlotte actually the Charlotte Bobcats? Remember that now Sound familiar to you. You were really awesome. You got five out of five points because you have bonus question you gotta You. GotTa Homa Jato. That's that's really awesome. I couldn't but I kept everything in your lifetime and changes for what's quickly becoming a long amount of time. Yeah in fact the only baseball team to move in your entire lifetime. Two thousand five the expos moving to Washington DC. All right. We're GONNA throw you a break. That is Trivia Tuesday. Generous is your winner. I'm your host Jeff. Rich will be back to wrap it up right after the break. You're listening to foul territory. The the guy from Jeopardy greatest of all time was able to pull it off. He wasn't the greatest of all time jeopardy. Scott a pretty good life that he was able to move to Las Vegas and become a professional gambler poker because it involves entirely too much paying attention and following and what is there like checking doubling or whatever. I don't even know going down well actually and like now. I'm out well. It's all math. All gambling is math. It's under the understanding point spreads. Its understanding situations. How Points Score? That's why I think the. Xfl Is an interesting element that you add into the lexicon of things that you can wager on because it's football but it's it's a new dynamic to football because touchdowns could be worth anywhere from six to nine points. That's a that's a huge variance. So you've got to figure out what team you know and you've got to figure it out from nothing. What teams are good from two yards out from five yards out from ten yards out? How these kickers are you? You know that failed to the point where that they didn't make it in the NFL. There's a lot to take into account. It's the same way with blackjack. Same Poker and like it or not. It's the same way with your slot. Machines your roulette The rolls of the dice craps. It's all just chance and it's all numbers and it's all figuring out what those numbers mean and the the common man I can't do it. No keep building those buildings up there in southern Nevada. But that's how I liked Vegas. Gambling is part of it but I the food. The food the lights the people watching. There's just so much to do. People get dressed up so much sports and you're not much of a clubber either. No I'm not really much of a club either. I mean I will dance anywhere but I'm not paying someone fifty dollars to go into a room and dance with other people were. I'm going to pay like two hundred dollars for a bottle of vodka. Did you ever do you remember that time where it was inappropriate for entry to the club? Ever one in Vegas was actually with money. That was not mind that was supposed to be buying new shoes. Drunkenly put I think on like twenty six. Maybe the roulette table possibly. I don't even know what it we ended up the only time I've ever won. I think it was probably like one hundred bucks and we pretend it like it was like a million well. Let me tell the story here. Because we're giving this without context. Is that you and. I met some friends at the club. That'S FRIENDS UP IN VEGAS. That subsequently invited us to the club and looked at and they said come on in they looked at me and they said they're lost no way and You know and to be fair. I was wearing open toed sandals and to be fair. I wasn't even wearing shoes and might not even have a top on. Who knows so we were given cab fare to go back to the hotel and put out appropriate footwear and we walked so we pocketed that cab fare and I think that that's where we were able to finance the rest of our evening because we can do this because we went on foot and we gambled away the The cab fare so anyway moving on the few things to get you. Las Vegas actually had actually caught US warning of that in Vegas prior to the NHL. Arriving there we saw the cubs. Play the mets in spring training. In two thousand. Fifteen at the old ballpark at cashman field. Which was right off the strip. Your thoughts on on the old ballpark down there. I liked it. It had a much bigger bigger lawn. There was more lawn seats. But isn't it enough. Park is built. Nineteen eighty-three for the Las Vegas Stars. Who Were San Diego? Padres affiliate The franchise itself had started out in nineteen nineteen as part of the Pacific Coast League than the Portland beavers in nineteen seventy-three they Moved to spokane where they were the spokane Indians and then again they moved to Vegas in one thousand nine hundred eighty three at the newly built cashman field where they competed as the Las Vegas Stars part of the Pacific Coast League San Diego's AAA affiliate from Nineteen Eighty. Three to two thousand in two thousand one. The dodgers took over and rebranded the stars to be the Las Vegas fifty ones so from two thousand one to two thousand eight the dodgers AAA affiliate was the Las Vegas Fifty one plate at Cashman field in Las Vegas in two thousand nine. The Toronto Blue Jays briefly worthy Parent Club of this AAA franchise from twenty two thousand nine to two thousand twelve and then from two thousand thirteen to two thousand eighteen. Which is why they were hosting a game there and they were playing against the cubs. Who had a guy in their in their system named Kris Bryant? Who was from where Las Vegas Funny? How all comes full circle so display the mets there in two thousand fifteen. The mets would only play there for another couple of seasons in two thousand nineteen. The Oakland A.'s took over the Las Vegas Franchise with the mets moving their AAA affiliate to Syracuse. And the as decided that they weren't going to be the fifty one's anymore they didn't know what they were going to be right. There was a long period of time where they didn't know what to name the team. I think they actually held a contest to name the new team. And what did they land on ended up on the aviators ended up being the Las Vegas Aviators so they have competed for one season as Las Vegas? Aviators there Out The new Las Vegas Ballpark. It's pretty far out. It's not exactly right off. The strip like cashman field was we. Don't think ever been in that part of Las Vegas because it was pretty close by the mountains. Those winds were pretty wicked weapon down at the end of the game. But I don't think we've been on that side of before we've experienced. The the wins being kind of out there or nothing else is around in Arizona with goodyear with surprise that. There's just nothing to stop the wind other than the mountains. Off in the distance we didn't see any spaceships landing. I don't know if you're close to area fifty one and Las Vegas or the United States government wanted the team not to be the fifty one anymore. Take the attention off of whatever's going on behind someone GonNa come and take our fifty-one gear from US and wave. A little men in black like this never happened. Pick UP LAS VEGAS fifty one zero when we were up there in twenty because we knew they were reaching the end. And then we're coming up on the end of it but We'll pick it up a little bit more about Las Vegas ballpark experience. We WATCH THE OAKLAND ATHLETICS AND CLEVELAND INDIANS PLACE EXHIBITION BASEBALL. I heart radio and let's pick it up right where we left off talking about baseball in Vegas Talking about the Las Vegas Ballpark. The Las Vegas Aviators and Newborn new ballpark versus old ballpark definitely upgrade. And we've got The as which you know depending on how you look at it upgrade or downgrade from the New York mets as a parent club. There's a lot of runs that are going to be scored out there when the winds blowing certainly blowing hard it is and it was cold. Hey got cold really fast. Probably about fifteen degrees from game to game and Gus We're about thirty miles per hour when we left any comparison. It's a triple A. Ballpark in comparison with other AAA ballparks. I'd say it's Pretty. Nice in person with some of the nicer spring training parks that we have down here in the Phoenix market. I would say that. It kind of pales in comparison. You know you don't want to do too much with a minor league ballpark. They had a nice balance there though because they use their outfield wisely. Instead of just having it be a whole bunch of grass that maybe nobody's GonNa sit on. They had half of it as grass. Where you can sit out in the berm and the other half of it was a little pool. Well the the other half of the right center field area in the left field was Kinda like it is at Oracle Park in San Francisco where it's a walkway where you can stand over on top of the taller wall out there in left field at. I think for Minor League Baseball comparing it with what we have to go against Albuquerque Reno Tacoma you know I think that it's par for the course that it's you know it's a little nicer because it has las Vegas but it's not so nice that you like this little too much for Minor League baseball few like we had. Oh we did the rough riders. Well that was double a doctor for the wicked park waterpark in their park. Yeah I mean. The Pool is unique. Let's undersell the the the pool that they've got of course it's going to be limited access. Not a public Bernie carry on your way. You'RE GONNA run down the whole thing for the game and nobody was swimming in February and early March up in Las Vegas Cooler. In all fairness it only was sixty five to begin with but it's sixty five and sunny and about fifty about an hour and a half later. It was fifty traveling and the coldest damn wins. You've ever felt before in the time to get from our seats behind the third base dugout to wrapping ourselves around the left field. Poll it it went from probably fifty eight degrees to forty five degrees. If you wanted to curl up just just call it like. Do you want to just curl up together and just freeze to death like? Is that how you want to go? Because that's how cold it felt Charlotte's my brother for his present saving our life. There apparently all right. So lots of gets you suck. Unlv basketball was good. Once upon a time. That was the only thing that they really had going on in town. The played at the Thomas and Mack Center which I've not seen and their football team played at Sam Boyd Stadium. Football teams. Never been anything to speak of However their basketball program in the early nineties Boy Jerry Tarkenton eighty nine got onto the lead eight nine hundred ninety. They wanted a Beaten Duke by thirty in the National Championship and then in ninety one duke. Their vengeance As a two seat coming out of the Midwest are a pardon me They they beat them by two points in the final four and I think Duke went on to win the championship game in one thousand nine hundred one and then the program went on probation because a small school in Las Vegas shouldn't get that good that quickly so something was up. They had a lot of NBA players on that team. They haven't had many NBA players ever since Shawn. Marion comes to mind Clayton All Star game there and I believe it was two thousand and seven it was an NBA All Star game and they finally got professional sports two years ago three years ago with the hockey of all things and it was kind of a shock that Las Vegas got a hockey team before a basketball team football or baseball team or really anything else just seems like it was the least likely thing to land itself in Vegas but I I'm really glad that's what they chose because that was fantastic but that was incredibly weird. They built an ice arena. Right off the stripe behind the New York New York. Zeno off of I fifteen and the Tropicana Tropicana Boulevard down the street from the Tropicana Hotel and casino. And it's it's kind of amazing I I. It's in your face when you're in front of it but just being a half mile away it gets hidden behind the buildings just barely see the lights of. T. Mobile arena sticking out between two of the buildings. And the only way you see you see it from Tropicana. I wasn't even a lot of sinus through the hotel in the parking garage. Like hey arena this way. We just kind of followed a bunch of people. No I mean considering how all the casinos you know go out of their way for the curve fueled the market themselves to you you know and and it looks nice when you're looking at it from the right angle but when nothing's going on there it's it's it's kind of kind of eerily quiet over there You were back in the in the room my brother and I will wander through the MGM. Casino cost the bridge in and through the New York New York. And really what I want. You know what I was trying to get you when we started to Mosey. My brother and I was the rollercoaster at New York New York because of seeing the tracks for it. I've just never seen where you catch it and how you go about doing that. But they req- off with a really this roller coaster reason why. We've never gone up to the arcade level of New York to walk through this entire arcade. Which is good. You know it's an actual kid arcade. This isn't like an adult arcade. 'cause you're in Vegas? It is a part of the casino that is designated be like Carnival Games and rides and stuff for children to walk through fire arcade. And then you have to buy a package which includes some arcade amenities along with a a single roller coaster ride but you know those packages start at forty five dollars ahead. That's a little bit much for what can't be more than three or four minute ride on the rollercoaster. I don't even think big giant roller coasters are three or four minutes. I think like the biggest ones theme parks are like a minute and a half this one had. I mean it's tiny. It's the size of a third of a casino. It's a small rollercoaster. It can't be more than like thirty seconds. Probably they do. They do take multiple laps. It's tiny and because of that reason. I don't trust it either. I've I've never wanted to ride any of the roller coasters in the Vegas Casinos. Because they just don't call me crazy. I just don't trust roller coasters. That are inside of casinos at a good time for me. But beyond that arcade you know you walk across the bridge to the parking garage that sits behind New York New York. I guess that would be to do the West to the last and you walk down. The aisle escalator outside the park. Raj and you are in the plaza for T. mobile arena when we went there night before the game when nothing was going on we had carte blanche we were the only two souls with it within shouting distance statue. They have in the middle of the plaza. There's a statue in the middle of the pleasants. Yeah there's like a weird. It's like a Naked Lady. Made out of wire like giant naked lady made out of wire in the middle of the pilot. You didn't see that. I guess all ladies made out of wire diamond dozen to me in Vegas. Oh No I have no recollection that I ever seeing a seeing a sports arena and I guess that's what What drew my eye. But the next you know however the next night game you'll they were. You know there are people walking down You Know Tropicana and Las Vegas Boulevard. All their gold nights gear like three hours before the game. It was four thirty in the afternoon. The puck drop was it at seven thirty and I also saw the tickets. Something called Nighttime K. And I G H T time Started a half hour before the game. Now you're surprised by all together though you may have been taken back by the pageantry the took place From the second that we set for it in the arena this'll be questioned the fact that The Golden Knights have cheerleaders. Because you don't see that all I wouldn't. I wouldn't say that you don't see that all over hockey. The oats have cheerleaders but pommie girls. That run around the stadium which they did do there but there is also a platform on the behind the net on the one level. The upper corner of the UH stadium. The fortress where it's just a constant stage of blue man group and cheerleaders and night men banging swords and showgirls hanging out. I mean we walked in and there were ladies with pompoms. There was a drum corps and there has a night in full armor leading the charge of Let's go nights and this is forty five minutes before the game because I got there earlier. Figurative tickets like an hour before the game. Yeah Yeah just just reason. Take us very long to get there. Because it was a short while to begin with but we didn't encounter hordes of people walking slowly it no time to get their incredibly convenient to get their walk through the New York. New York is you know. If you're there during hockey season you have the means. Please attended Las Vegas Golden Knights Hockey Game. Even if he's not your favorite sport it is just an experience To to take in and you know just watches. The beginning watched the half an hour before the game starts. And then just leave won't see. I only talk. I you know I. I'd seen what they what the air on the broadcast for the playoff games. But I didn't know that that kind of thing happened during the tax season. That's just what they do every game. There's a there's a Susan motion picture. There's a whole motion picture that they play beforehand. And then a bunch of guys on the ice and sword fights and there's fire and glitter rockets and everything you would expect out of Las Vegas more on the Golden Knights on the other side and we're GonNa talk about the biggest aspect that Vegas plays in sports and it is the gambling aspect she's Jan. America time flies when you're talking about to the city that never sleeps. I guess that's New York but they'll sleep much in Las Vegas either and that's what we're actually focused. I'd Talking about the Las Vegas Golden Knights a little bit before the break a lot before the break and we never actually got into the hockey game itself. Because we're talking about the the night fighting some things that are a little bit campy with cheerleaders out on the town but everything else is like vegas-style. It's it's a little bit bigger a little bit more of a show pyrotechnics the just the excitement in the arena for a regular season game on Sunday night in February versus like the worst team in the western conference versus the Western Conference that that team is the L. A. Team so there's a lot of La presence in Vegas short drive but you know. I imagine that they have their share of La Transplants. Just like we do here in the Valley of the son in Phoenix Arizona and not none empty seat in the house. No not one. And that's what impressed me the most. It's night against the Kings. And this place is rocking. I think every sport that they try will work there you agree with that except the xfl did the team. There I I noticed the original. Xfl team there. Yeah and you know and and I think that in fact I wanna say that the very first. Xfl Game on the got. The highest ratings was played there but I'm talking about existing sports talking about startup leagues or Osu Leagues of talking about exist exports. Because they were when we want to see granted they were playing a team from the mid American conference. But when we want see. Unlv they're twenty fourteen to Chambord stadium. There were plenty of room to move around. It was also like a Hun- unseasonably hot. Now keep in mind. It was like one hundred five or something and they played the game at wasn't a three o'clock game three thirty three. Yeah they played it at like the hottest nastiest time of the day. That's true that's true but I but keep in mind your daily made it. You're GONNA have you know if you if you baseball there. You're going to have June July August September there if you do football football and I mean all these gonNA move inside. The place of the raiders. Not immediately they seem to like this This inaugural season for the raiders is going to bomb. Unlv back to their old stadium. Few time notably for the Arizona State game in September but baseball is going to be played during a hot time of year. Football pre-season is going to be played during a hot time of year. If the raiders aren't any good granted you know. You're not going to know that you have a you know. Four and ten football team until the weather cools down a little bit. So you might always have that priests that early season hype that packs the seats at least for the early stages of the season. And you're always gonNA that visiting Fan Element. I think that's what I was expecting. The most is that visiting fans granted. They weren't playing like the maple leafs or the Canadians. Or the Calgary flames where you're going to have this big. You know the big hockey base come from elsewhere but there were a lot of people rooting for the home team in that arena on that Sunday night that we attended it was loud. It was loud and they were into it and they knew all the chance and they all had different fun jerseys and hats and you mentioned the blue man group Blue Man Gr. I'm like I don't know how much you want me to keep going on. Because it would just be one constant list of and blue man group was there and they throw marshmallows at people and the guy in the golden fold. Golden suit came bias with his his little sword and did his thing and the only thing. We didn't see a lot of scoring by the home team because they only scored one goal. At least they didn't get. It was wild hearing that one goal but it would have been nice hearing multiple goals the home team off night against Against a Dad Los Angeles kings team. An eighth straight wins. So they're little little guest as you mentioned so It was nice to see at least Eagle because I say 'cause they were they were down to nothin' early and I said you know lids absolutely gonNA come off this place if you know if they can And you can get one in the net. Get one in the net while it's still matter it wasn't like they scored a cheap one as time was running out. They scored this Gordon and I think that it was I think you know. They made it three one with their first goal of the game. So go music. I'm trying to remember and that one goal did they could hear it. It was loud. It was loud but Really impressive I could see how you know what? Our friends is. A hockey guy. You know just telling me that the after the blackhawks guide good the The atmosphere at the United Center in Chicago for Chicago was Home Games. Were WORTH ABOUT. A goal a game. Just what the the home crowd advantage? I think the Vegas has that now. I don't know how it is if they're playing at original sixteen if they're playing a Canadian team. I don't know what the the visiting crowd element is at T. Mobile Center or T. mobile arena. I'll tell you why it was. It was something else and there was a good share a kings fan because there was some go kings go. I mean it was drowned out obviously by the home crowd and it would have been more so had the hometown team. Got Out to a lead and been you know been winning and you know been able to take it home but it was still. It was a crazy fun atmosphere and even after the game they were still chatting. Let's go nights. Let's go night so it was crazy. They have a home team and it's their only home team at least for the time being until for another six months until football season begins in the past. They've hosted these conference tournaments and conference tournaments are seeing their own upgrades. Pac twelve For what was IT For about four years played at the. Mgm Say they're mostly at the MGM casino themselves before this new new arena. That's right that's right and they've been playing the PAC twelve tournament at the T. mobile arena sense 2017. You do have the western Athletic Conference. Go Go Grand Canyon for from us. You're in Phoenix. They have played grand. Canyon's played in that championship game a couple of times but they've been playing at the Orleans Casino Arena since two thousand eleven The West Coast Conference has been playing at that. Same Orleans casino arena since two thousand and nine and the mountain west They play actually play. Unlv's home Since two thousand minus three years they moved the the conference tournament over to Denver but the mountain West has been playing in Las Vegas for all three seasons since the year two thousand but not at T. mobile arenas reserve for the Pakistan. The fights have moved from. Gm was the main menu. And you've basically moved across the street and pass the New York New York for for main events anymore and that's where Mayweather McGregor was. That's where all the big. Ufc fights are now and concerts concerts and speak. Do they do concerts there? So Vegas has them getting a name for themselves as far as hosting these big events. Nothing to do there beforehand so. I'm glad they're finally getting consulting well a little bit. I guess it'd be north of of the T. Mobile Center. Is the construction site at least for the allegiant stadium. South out. We'll we'll look that up and reveal on closed down fifteen. Yeah and the whole city is a loop between fifteen and I fifteen. It's just this giant loop so I can't tell whether going east west North or South. Yeah just roads which way you're going. Based on what casino you can see to Game Day. Experience for the Golden Knights is of course awesome. They're you know. They're about to get the raiders. Unlv IS GONNA play at this allegiance stadium. It's right and it's right there it's not like Arizona where you know it's out in Glendale where it's just away from everything. It's right in the thick of things. I imagine that the ease of access to the football stadium is going to be comparable except for if you don't have a clear bag when you're trying to get into an NFL stadium. But I imagine arriving at that stadium is going to be a relatively simple process for NFL. Fans FOOTBALL FANS. You know depending on what else they do. I imagine that the will get a final four. I don't know if I don't know if it opens or not yet another good question. What's it look that up? When we look at where it is and so north South East West Open close wanamaker retractable and then the Golden Knights can host a Legion Legion stadium. It's it's the most extravagant stadium named after a crappier line and there was another sponsor who didn't even believe when I saw that they were sponsoring it that that was a thing like how like their own pilots were coming out and saying that they don't let their own families fly on it and it's stain enough customer base to have enough money to build an arena possible. That allegiant is a Las Vegas based company. That's the only because the plaster all over the board you know they`re. The allegiant company was plastered. All over the boards at the team all arena. I was right. I Miss Direction when I'm not always keeping score. It is south of itself west of the hockey arena on the other side of fifteen. Okay just south of Tropicana so you need to go left on Tropicana to get to football right on Tropicana to hockey depending on which direction. So it's really just mute is what you're saying all right so Very very close to the stripped very close to one another and you'll gambling is a big part thereof. You've been caught this. I went to go buy a hat and then I thought you know. I root for Western Conference team. I really it would be disingenuous of meat. You Buy a Las Vegas Golden Knights Hat. Aol's looking for kind of like an arena hat but at the apparel stands on the concourses. They also have all the betting lines. So you bet on other hockey games while you're at a. That's that's unprecedented. Essentially turned every sporting venue that you have in the city into the horse track or the dog track. It's not sounding like that. Roof is retractable. Okay no no retractable roof. Add allegiance so outdoor games there. There's plenty of desert. They can put an ice rink up there. Vegas the college yes. Brewers I was not expecting to talk Christian Yelich on this particular evening but Milwaukee's ready to cut the check do twelve and a half million this year. Fourteen million. The next and the brewers had the option whether they were gonNA give him fifteen million Or buy him out for one and a quarter million. They wiped all that clean. So for the next seven years. Christianity is going to get two hundred and fifteen million dollars from the Milwaukee brewers or whoever decides speak of his contract. Should they trade him? He's twenty eight twenty eight so this is kind of a risky deal assuming that it gets done You know he's GonNa be thirty five at the end of it prime years kind of behind him. So you're paying for what he's done for you the last couple of years rather than white. You really think he's going to do for you. This is not four hundred million. This is not three hundred million mean team but it's only seven because the three thirty was what thirteen years? The three will four thirty. Oh yeah the three three for three hundred right. Yeah and what was tried truck guide like four? Something on shot ended up being way north to the over thirteen years much longer amount of years but two million dollars is almost the norm This is you know. He was injured last year but he's still played one hundred thirty games. I thought that he missed a lot more time. But the that injury must happen later Labor remember. Do I remember what the injury that he had? The injury was a foul ball off his knee. Okay so probably something. That's not likely to have plaguing. It's like he tore something or he's crazy surgery. You're right. He still finished second in the. Mvp Voda he's still on the batting title. He led the National League in batting average two years in a row. In fact Three Twenty Six and three twenty nine as best two seasons young and those are in Milwaukee so he was sitting to eighty two in Miami. And it's funny. Because he was playing with those Oona and Giancarlo. Stanton down there but the lineup in Milwaukee little more protection around him and you know he's he's a decent player. May I don't know that I mean you could say that it was kind of a no brainer for the brewers because they just haven't had a player to his caliber? That's made that much of a difference but you'll for the Milwaukee brewers I'm trying to look at his game logs here. They had Braun. They rode Bron for awhile. And he's still around but slightly tainted very very tainted tainted any. So you know He. He got the runner up to yellow or To bellinger in the MVP battle a year ago and again in twenty nineteen he. He didn't miss that much time to injury. He played right on through to any play. Basically every day didn't miss. It didn't actually miss all that side at all the foul off Occurred it's hard for me to even invited. It's hard for me to even find where where he missed the time Just at first glance but Eight hundred thirty one hundred sixty two games. He's given Milwaukee a lot over the last two seasons. He's been on the upswing. But the Milwaukee brewers themselves are not you know they're not on the doorstep they are you know they need to add other played the DADS and pitching their eighty nine hundred seventy three last year. They were only a couple of games above the the the watermark and they went to the wildcard game because they didn't win the division over the cardinals. They did lose to the eventual world champions Washington nationals. And by the way we're going to we're going to visit teams like the nationals when we get to It's been awhile since we played played a game. Nobody really cared about him. Nobody can you'll Chris. Christie said good riddance when they when they moved to Brooklyn and now they've got Kinda like dagger graffiti style jurors. I I actually liked what Brooklyn was wearing Brooklyn. Doesn't have any tradition. So they're creating it what they're doing right now is what is building the foundation. The Celtics have the Foundation Celtics on the twenty seventh floor. And now they're trying to build sky walks and they don't need to do that whereas tradition goes. I don't like it too like it. Either your about this thing with spike Lee New York Knicks. He's like their most notorious fan. You know since they are new stuff about Spike Lee. While he's not GonNa go more Knicks Games this year. 'cause ownership surprise James Dole in the idiot has had a problem with the way that he's been entering the he says it it would've VIP address which all our RV Ip's US and he wants to use in spike. 'cause they're built up to be like something special at. It's the same boring thing year in in year out. The Games go on for way too long so nixed management instead of theology instead of handling this right way they they mock him. They mocked the situation in their in their press. Release they take an old picture of Spike League. Shaking hands with the owner of the team. Players aren't going to miss him. The fans aren't gonNA mess him. Fans wouldn't miss the Knicks of if they moved out of New York. If New York suddenly didn't have a basketball team so you give the but the the knicker sonics could be the Seattle knicker sonics and they can play a few games of Madison Square Garden. But they're just such a joke of a franchise. Maybe they need to lose their team for a few years so somebody puts it together. They're not. That's what happened with Cleveland. Not that it's worked out at all with the knockoff. Football chapter there. That's been back since nineteen ninety nine. We've got We we have an opportunity for the San Antonio Spurs. You're not drinking out of it This particular evening but I I know that you do have a Spurs Tumbler somewhere around the studio here and you follow this team. You're familiar with the legendary. Tim Duncan and the Innovative Gregg Popovich and his lead assistant coach. Becky Hammon Pop Mrs Gaming at Charlotte on Tuesday for quote unquote personal reasons in the Internet is up in arms because it was. Tim Duncan the assistant coach. And Not Becky Hammon. Who's been there for years? The lead assistant this twenty fourteen says to fourteen so six years six years five years plus so it's Dunkin Doug Dunkin actually filled in for pop Back in November and the claim was that had scouted the team he was most familiar pop gotti jacket and Dunkin takeover. Don't you took over? So he did it for a little bit They lost one twenty one to one sixteen in that game but also he was a loser in his first win as a head coach because he has had coached previously to now but they lost but he coached he goes just one wire wire even he claimed that Heaven and hearty. The assistant coaches made all the causes. You know obviously being becky. Hammon made all the calls in. He just stood there and yelled at the players and then there was speculation that he wasn't going to address the media the game which which he actually did do and everyone was upset just game back in Carolina where Duncan played his college at wake forest. I'm not sure if he's from there but he did plays college while they're so a homecoming of sorts. Let's see you on this because Gregg Popovich didn't WanNa hear any of it. I think Gregg Popovich said something along the lines of You know I'm not here to make history so something to that effect and I hear it here it is. I'm not here to make. History is what he said no question about having to the Washington Post. I get that it could be a little bit of a distraction especially last minute. Fill in like this. But were you with this. He's from the Virgin Islands. Sympton okay but okay so this is happened I it was on a whim. When top GOTTI jetted in November this one obviously they kind of had a little bit of a plan that they were going to put him in no. He has not been a coaching in any capacity since two thousand fourteen like becky has spent ever however he wore a spurs uniform for nineteen years. Wayne you know this is the last minute kind of thing. Even if she's even she's doing everything other than you know blowing the Big West. You know having the big clipboard. She's GonNa get a head coaching opportunity. She's going to be the first. Nba head coach. I was thinking that with the the vest that happening Cleveland. Coming out of the All star break would be line Lindsay GOTTLIEB HEAD. Coaching experience at At cal I was thinking that she might get the interim tag but I do think that when a woman does get the job that they're going to have every opportunity to succeed which means neither one of those two ladies or any other female should take the next job when it when it becomes inevitably open again I form of protests. I think that there needs to be a you know that needs to be a solid situation. I think that you need to give a female chancellor to succeed so you don't end up with John Situation where it's just not a good way. I Think Dad. I what makes the most sense is promoting becky within when pop steps down even if Dunkin still there and I think the donkey would remain as the head coach and I think that the players would play for La. There'd be any issues with that. But I think you're absolutely right. You know when you consider that Becky haven't has been there since twenty fourteen as an assistant. Coach Tim Duncan has been there since nineteen ninety seven. I don't know how long of POPs been there for all of it by. He's obviously familiar with hop system. The players are playing in pop system. Their bowls familiar her from this Al FROM THE ASSISTANT COACHING PERSPECTIVE. Which gives her more of an intimate knowledge of game plan and strategy? And things like that but come Dunkin's also there. I mean he's been there for five minutes is one is somebody tweeted out or Beckingham and does not invisible and six for Popovich took over the Spurs. Did you say to them? Six Ninety six eighty six so the year before Duncan so every championship here. Okay so anyway. That's that's the Hammond versus finding things to get mad about for the sake of getting mad. I this is more people than it is the spurs us no discourse will disperse your some tribute Tuesday. Yeah okay so we'RE GONNA play relocated team this evening. All right. We know that the Winnipeg jets moved to Arizona became the Phoenix. Coyotes who eventually became the Arizona coyotes. We know that Winnipeg added team replaced by with the that's no longer in Atlanta thrashers had moved to to Winnipeg. So we're not going to give you any low hanging fruit and you've heard all about me talking about the Browns to Baltimore. Finger placed the knockoff expansion team. And you know. The Cleveland Rams actually existed there before the browns came into the NFL in nineteen fifty arouse basically moved. La In one thousand nine hundred fifty to allow room for the browns play in the NFL. In Cleveland in nineteen fifty where they won the championship. I believe the NFL championship in their first year. But that's not. That's part of Trivia Tuesday's just Everything's GonNa be from your lifetime. Which of course eliminated the opportunity to make our favorite joke about the jazz moving to Utah. They don't allow music. Do you recall where they came from. You call the jazz city that they really right. Yeah all over. Okay no no. Those were pretty points but And you didn't. You didn't get any points five o'clock correctly I offered them. But you didn't get in kind of money. I thought it was one hundred one hundred bucks at that point. A thousand bucks. Oh if it's all just talking about fake money. Let's let's make it a half half mill for the first question. We gotta make sure we get these in all right so This Sacramento Fred. Sacramento Kings moved from this city where they had to be renamed the Kings as to not be confused with the baseball team that was also in town in nineteen eighty five they moved from the city to Sacramento Kansas City. Hey I have. No one was expecting that. I don't think anybody was was there. On the BUZZER Shed nosers a baseball team in Kansas City. Bonus follow up from nineteen seventy to nineteen seventy by the by the way it was the cincinnati royals that moved there. They were formerly. The Rochester. Royals moved to Cincinnati. So sedated royals moved to Kansas City where they couldn't be the royals anymore. Because you have the baseball team there so What they split time with this Nebraska City from one thousand nine hundred eighty two to nineteen seventy five. Kansas City kings were the Kansas city slash blank. Kings Oh God the only two cities Omaha. You're all over at your Oliver Lincoln. All right never no question number two. The New Jersey devils moved to eastern bird in nineteen eighty two And they were formerly named at the of the same name as an existing baseball team from a mountainous region in the western United States coming in rockies all over they did the Colorado rockies existed as a hockey team before they existed in baseball team. You probably didn't know that. If all right stratified lemurs number three number three and in two thousand five this Canadian franchise move to Washington. Dc after splitting time between their Canadian. City and Sam Puerto Rico in two thousand three and two thousand four Canadians he moved to DC and became the nationals expos. Poor Expos three out of three three three plus the bonus question which was only worth like six points so so number for number four the Houston oilers left Houston after the nineteen ninety six and became the Tennessee oilers They intended to play in this Tennessee city for two seasons before moving to their new stadium in Nashville in nineteen ninety nine but they only stayed there one year due to poor attendance which Tennessee city initially move to. Oh MEMPHIS MEMPHIS MEMPHIS really support? Now well received at the Liberty Bowl in Memphis. Were the University of Memphis place. So that played at everyone probably got to Beale street and then just stops there. They just got us. They actually had to play in Vanderbilt Stadium in National One Thousand. Nine hundred eighty eight So that people would lock them out and watch the Tennessee oilers. So the Tennessee oilers played in Memphis for a year. Then they played in Nashville Vanderbilt Stadium. And then they became the titans in nineteen ninety nine and moved into their current stadium which was originally. Adelphia Stadium and think it's Nissan Stadium. Now all right this one promises be a little bit more challenging super confusing you. That's that's kind of what I do if I say no I mean do we just have until I am ready you just going to ramble on about something else until I say yeah fine? Let's just go to flirt with a forged some bonus points out in front and then we're going to go anyway and I'm actually just going to word it more difficult if you're not ready so since you already bonus that you are ready. I will be as clear and concise as possible the Charlotte Hornets. You remember them. You know -til uniforms and they're back. They're back as the Charlotte Hornets so still hanging out. Yeah so they they left Charlotte. After the two thousand two season moved to New Orleans became the New Orleans Hornets and then in twenty thirteen the New Orleans. Hornets became the Pelicans so becoming the jazz again because Utah really likes that name. Apparently even though they don't like music music or alcohol three point two percent or percent so so there was actually a season where there were no hornets at all because New Orleans was already the Pelicans and Charlie in the meantime got an expansion team in two thousand and four. So what was the name of that expansion team kind of other stupid bird? Charon or something the Charlotte. Hey Is it the hands Charlotte? They're actually the Charlotte bobcats. Remember that now Sound vaguely familiar to you. You were you were really awesome. You got five out of five points because you got the bonus question you gotta you gotta you gotTa Own That's that's really awesome. I couldn't et but I kept everything in your lifetime and changes for what's quickly becoming a long amount of time. Yeah in fact the only baseball team to move in your entire lifetime. Two thousand five the expos moving to Washington DC. All right. We're GONNA throw at you a break. That is trivial. Tuesday jen riches your winter. I'm your host Jeff Rich. Yes what were your thoughts about? This is this is the space traveled to the Sun. Right yes they are. Travelling to the Senate to stop a payload it's presumed to be nuclear warheads but I don't think they ever actually specify I've seen once about three or four years ago and I actually have it cued up. I just acquired it. Yeah to watch again because I it's a it's a kind of space horror but there is you know you got a lot of human element going on. You have a lot of back and forth between the characters. I seem to remember liking it. A whole bunch. I liked it whole bunch too when I saw like a decade ago when I watched it again last night and it scares me because the very first thing I noticed about the movie was how racially balanced the cast was and this is not something that even crossed my mind ten years ago but when I watched it last night that was the first thing that left out at me was that you had an Asian dude thousand seven Asian girl a white dude white girl and a black day. What you're saying that didn't seem inorganic. It seemed like it just happened that way. In the case of a lot of movies that are coming out in recent years. It just feels fake. Well I don't know if it if it fills any faker in modern movies than it did. In two thousand seven went sunshine was made right but it's people focusing on these things. Oliver Twitter and facebook caused me to immediately notice those things when ten years ago now I never noticed that about the movie I just watched. I just finished altered carbon. The second season yesterday which is another. It's a it's A. It's a sci-fi newer. Okay get your detective. And he's figuring things out. The first season was very well. I you know like you said I probably wouldn't of noticed the characters and their skin color in their diversity ten years ago but because that's all we deal with these days. It's the first thing I noticed. I'm like there's there's an awful lot of the same color person in this in this in this show but I mean it it worked. It's a really good show. I I definitely recommended. But Yeah it's it's I think it's sad that That's the first thing we we. That's the first thing we look for exactly because it is so relevant to the plot is relevant to how good the movies or anything like that. And it's not something that was true for me when I watched this movie a decade ago or twelve years ago. Thirteen years ago however long ago it was there was not something that was even noteworthy. It's like okay. This is the captain. This is the physicists. This is the doctor. Their racial makeup meant nothing Russia me. But now it's the main focus the main Hollywood's main focus and they are not. I don't know if it's Hollywood's main focus but it's the cultures Maine coast correct and they are appeasing the new culture and China. Yeah they they`re. They're jumping through fire hoops and and what not to make sure that they don't get any bad tweets from from the warriors out there who sit and making the they actually do all the calculations are well there was. There was only one percent black blacks in this in this new movie. That just came out. Or there's there is no representation of Intersex. It's like well Disney's your bad. We need to make sure that recruits defy you. People that's all they don't care about the story they don't care about the plot good character development. They only care about the numbers. Let's just which is sad as you pointed out in the second season of this show whose name I've already forgotten It's infected you as well just as it. And that's what's scary. We're being programmed to look for these things that we don't actually care about presumably what we shouldn't care about. It shouldn't be. It shouldn't even be a consideration only looking for good programs and not the numbers. It's scary that we can be manipulated. I think into looking for things that we don't care about simply because everyone else is looking for them and caring about the right so anyway. That's not the only issue. Going on with millennials. Apparently here they just can't cut a break are if they're not flipping out on twitter about the racial makeup of the latest Disney movie. Then they're going. I don't know I don't think he really insane. If you have Alzheimer's but it's it's it's brain it's dementia. It's the brain is falling apart earlier than than should and and evidently this is happening to a lot of millennial it's happening well. It's not just millennials. It's across the board okay. The millennials have the the most increase in numbers since this when the study was done. Okay and I did pull that report up as well This is something that is kind of near and dear to my heart because this is on my dementia is on my mother's side of the family. I got heart disease and whatnot on my Dad's side. I don't think that's going to be anything. I have to worry about some of my siblings. Maybe but yeah. Dementia is something that You know I think about. I've actually Chain some of my lifestyle choices. I need to stop drinking as much. I have cut back a whole bunch but I mean I make money odorant. I don't I don't cook off a teflon. Keep your house at fifty and my house is fifty. Basically the the whole thing about taking. Forget that taking cold showers. You know to to live in live in you up in the morning. I don't need any of that because it's always cold but anyways this articles coming from the affiliate voice dot Com Just last week. The number of millennials with early onset Alzheimer's disease is surging. Report finds dementia and Alzheimer's Disease Traditionally have been considered a concern for older generations but recent spikes in early onset of these conditions in Americans as young as thirty suggest. A different story now is I. Don't know much about Alzheimer's essentially as extreme forgetfulness. Right you start. It starts off with You know memory and then before you know it you. You don't recognize the people around you. You're pooping and peeing on yourself. You can't you know it's it's all it's it's a slow downward spiral and it's pretty nasty now. I realize where I'm at and the people with whom I surround myself but it seems like marijuana could have a lot to play here. I'm thinking a lot of drugs in this is going to lead me into another article where I do believe. I'm blaming this. I think it's I think it is a matter of Two very popular drugs. Both legal. That I wasn't taken when I was a kid but a couple of years. After decades following it became very wide widely used and. I'm speaking I'll just get to the point. I'm speaking of Ritalin and adderall. Which makes people forgetful? Though I've lived that I used to have a terrible memory. You could almost watch my memory. Go Downhill real time over the course of like three or four years. But when I stopped smoking I stopped. Basic things like probably started rebuilding. Some of those burned out brain Your wiring and I don't know to what extent you know. Canopus could actually be responsible for Alzheimer's or anything like that but if we know that this substance causes short term I think memory loss as the first the first steps short term and then it becomes long-term. Is that true for Alzheimer's as well and I'm not sure they're different types of dementias. I just I just found out about another one that I've never heard of before. But it's Basically brain is Deteriorating Okay so between twenty thirteen and two thousand seventeen early onset dementia and Alzheimer's diagnosis increased by eighty three percent. So four years there. Eight hundred eight hundred. Eighty percent increase among Commercially insured Americans aged thirty to forty four. According to a report leased by the healthcare. Insure that age. Group includes the oldest millennials so millions. Start in so if you're born after eighty-three all we have to about ninety five ninety seven ninety six ninety seven. You're you're a millennial this weird to me. That there are forty four year old millennials. That doesn't make that doesn't make sense because I'm forty one and I'm just on the cusp. I'm an Xer so that day. That's that's a slightly different definition of millennialism ISM. Maybe so it should be. I would say about thirty eight if you're thirty eight right now. You're a millennial or younger or younger. Yeah I would say twenty to thirty eight sounds about right anyway. This is free talk live. But before we get too deeply into this Alzheimer's article let's go to the phones. We've got Michael. Calling from Florida Michael. You're on free talk live. Hey how you guys doing day doing good. What's on your mind okay? I'm what's to ask you. What is your opinion about trump? I am not a fan. He's a he's a Democrat in sheep's sheep's wool clothing. I really don't like trump at all but I've already stated that if the Democrats Manipulate Primary Score Biden Good. I will be voting for him. Okay okay I got another question. Okay shoot I did but there is a weird thing going on with the dump button over a G- But Yeah I was pretty we all. We all knew that was coming any time people call before the show starts. It's never a good sign but I mean if you don't see sounds like you really like trump. I mean instead of telling us to go off. I mean maybe tell us why. He's such a good president. Maybe maybe we can have a back and forth so what was that thing that you said about Sanders and trump. Because there was some background noise from the color that I was quite know about it was about Biden I Love Biden and I've predicted from the very beginning of this contest that the primaries would be rigged to place by the nominee. I predicted this almost a year ago. I guess at this point and then Gilbert came up doesn't matter if Biden gets the nomination. I made the commitment that if Biden gets the nomination I will vote for trump out of spite and I think that it's going to happen. I think it's more likely that Bloomberg is going to get it. Watch you wise. It'll be Biden's I called it a long time ago going to be the. Where does hillary come and everything else was a show? Well it's all show right but it's a show that's been rick for buying Biden for over over a year probably well before that even would you rather that Sanders get the nomination and lose. Yes to trump. Yeah Okay so you prefer trump over them asked me today who I actually work for trump over over sanders but I would like to see a victory over socialism. I guess I'd like to see him win. And things go badly enough that we never get another socialist candidate again. But I don't know if that that would. I think it would be so bad for this country during the timeframe that Bernie is president that I mean yeah we would never get another socialist candidate again but the damage it would be really. I think it would be bad very bad during that time. If you are like me and think the damage is gonNA come regardless of regardless of who is in charge May. Wouldn't it be nicer just to get it out of the way I don't get it over with though while we're still young by the way we can handle it? I guess it seems like there's GonNa be a lot more damage though from from us and I don't know I don't. I don't have any more socialist. Than DONALD TRUMP. Though he's I think he's a lot more but but the the problem I see and this is why I always wanted Hillary to get get into office. Not Because I support her at all but because she would She would rally the opposition in the form of I'm thinking conservatives and you know right leading people's maybe she rallied them all the way behind. Donald Trump will well now that they know that that was a good thing though. That's the thing. No that's the thing. They have their man now and now. It's all died down now. It's like nothing ever happened. Saying everything's Kush look at the stock market. Look at all the blacks. They have jobs now. I mean it's all the silly these silly number shambles ran house. We just got out of the war. I think was Afghanistan. Well Yeah we're not. They still they still. They're still like eight thousand troops there. We're out of our way out of war with Afghanistan and the way we're no longer at war in Iraq. Yeah it's the it's the we're still there as I say we. I mean our soldiers protecting oil and drugs. And I'm thinking especially opium well. Let's get back to the phones for Martin calling from West Virginia Martin. You're on free talk. Live are y'all doing pretty good. Hey what's on your mind. Yeah I got a question for the heat. Yeah go ahead Did you had your pain is removed during surgery. I did not. I have in fact not had surgery good question. Thanks for sitting on. Hold for twenty three minutes to ask that. I wish I had your level of boredom in my life. Didn't even sound drunk. Why would you wish for that level of boredom because it would mean that I was less busy and I could? Do things like just sit there on. Hold for twenty three minutes to ask an idiotic question. I am jealous of that level of slot. Ignorance is bliss right. It is being stupid. Is You know if you don't have to. You're not thinking about all the stuff that's going on out there. You're probably live longer. I mean you got to think about that at the top of this dudes priority is sitting on. Hold for twenty three minutes to ask me that. That's amazing Kudos to you dude. For a well lived life and thanks for helping US prove that it is in fact freetalklive where you can call about whatever you want. Yeah but I don't think that he was going to ask anything that was remotely appropriate. So he had to go. Didn't dump him got sneak. Most radio shows you would sit on hold for a longer than twenty three minutes. The cost would pick up. And you'd say to ask you what you were. GonNa ask and probably dump you off the line even if you had something that sounded reasonable and in topic but the show. If the Costco just doesn't like the sound of your voice you're gone you know that brings up a good point because that is. That's really the rush limbaugh formula. Yeah where he just talks and talks and talks and the only people he has call in sycophants right. I love listening to your rush and it's like it's horrible. But he's on his way out so the the question is unless unless he remarked believe recovers which I don't want him to die or anything but whatever I want him. I don't care if he dies. I don't exactly but I mean what is next. Who's going to take for example from cancer and then I got Alex Jones burkey white water filter. We'll actually cured. It was a miracle. I'm wondering because I don't think his competitors are going to be able to pick up the slack so the question is what's going to be the next formula to people like listening to the day. Do they like this type of show? Where we they call and talk about whatever and we'll let anybody talk not just the people who agree with us. Freetalklive is like twenty six and head Tucker itself whatever it is well this guy I mean where competitors with a lot of people beginning. They are direct competitors. They get their radio. Currently it's it's availed their their type radios available. What happens when it's not? Where do they turn then? Will they want to come to us? They're saying here at least the New York Times. It looks like six states are leaning or or probably going. Biden has won two. Apparently they're calling it very early for Virginia. North Carolina for Biden Vermont. They're calling for sanders without any results. But they're basically saying that it looks like Biden may win six dates and Sanders is going to eight but so brokerage convention which in Bernie's GonNa fight it sure. And then because he because he could win the popular vote. Bloomberg will probably stick around to fight and a brokered convention as well good for him. Little shorty shorty machine. What Mike Well? Let's get back to the Bronx moneybags. We've got rick calling from South Carolina. Rick you're on Free Talk Live. Yeah comment about the life. I honestly don't really think it matters if Learning goes up against not the mean. I mean you got it all made them either. You're getting an actual Jewish conniving rat versus trump was out boughten Jewish shelf. So I mean it really doesn't matter when when you get when it comes down to it. I mean they're both Israeli puppet. What we've heard this allegation before. Why do you assert that trump is an Israeli puppet while I'm surrounded by Jews? I mean look at them. I don't have a good brisk his his daughters his daughters married into the Jewish family. I think that's all I know. Having watched the comedy show it surrounded by Joseph? He's also surrounded by Jews but you need to learn to laugh more. Oh good point We're talking about three bud. Let sign the Holocaust is a lie. Did NOTHING WRONG. Holocaust to Y and FM eighty eight or yeah. It sounds like you liked short little guys like that with the little mustache. The all of the evidence kind of disagrees. The Holocaust is a lie. Doesn't even make sense grammatically Yup. The Holocaust is sad. To say was a thing that actually happened. So sorry to burst your bubble. Maybe Hitler wasn't real. That's what they're trying to say. I think right Hitler was there saying that there was no there were no Nazis that this never happened right. So they don't believe this guy was clearly trying to tell us that he doesn't believe in Nazis that he's very pro being not racist because Nazis never existed he. He's so open minded culturally that he doesn't believe that the Nazis ever even existed. That's how open minded culturally. This guy is I hope to never be so open minded colorblind perfect so looks carry on. We Got John Calling from Kentucky John. You're on free talk live. Hey how you guys doing today. Good what's on your mind I WANNA ask you. What is your opinion on Bernie Sanders? Do you like Bernie Sanders. Not particularly known your favorite person to person you may for the Twenty Twenty Presidential Twenty twenty question who is your favorite pairs than vermin supreme. I'm voting for Myself Dot. Fm effort. We're waiting to let me plug. Burma Supreme people coming from your nose. Man Well can't well is in jail so he can't do his show was he. Was He even doing a show up until just recently? Yeah I guess that makes sense and so I mean there is known associations between Christopher Cantwell and hosts of Free Talk Live so plus then that the Nazis. They're so stupid you know if you say something. I'm sorry but they are. If you say something like that your call is immediately. Going to get dropped and dumped. And you're never going to make it onto the airwaves. If you want to get your ideas across heffer repugnant. They may be. You have to at least keep it clean and be able to carry on a dialogue. And what's unfortunate about these people? Is that nine times out of ten. They're incapable of doing that. As we've seen repeatedly we have had these Nazi callers call in and actually carry on conversations with us. They say ridiculous things but they actually say things that have meaning so. Let's get back to the story about Alzheimer's because I wish I could forget the last twenty minutes. We could get over it so first of all. Let's let's define Biden probably has it. Let's by definitely has some sort of dimension which lancair there's not just that he doesn't know what stadium he doesn't he doesn't know what day it is. The comments that Biden. Who said that? He was Vermont when he was here in keene he says at every state he's in the wrongs he every state he's been he's been in the wrong state. Tea You mean Vermont. Graduating are like twelve feet apart. Yeah you're right about that. One election he was congratulating the win for Barack America. He's he thinks he's running for Senate He. He said Multiple Times. He doesn't know where he's at. It's really sad. Let the guy go out to pasture and just die. Because it's this this is this is this. This is senior abuse. It truly is not to mention the laws that this guy have. Britain are. I mean. He's really he's really messed up. He's really sick and that's why I don't want office is because one of the things that he's responsible for was the rave act. When was that That was in two thousand and one he was sponsoring this legislation. Rain this legislation. That was you know. He's very antidrugs and he basically said look. If you can't get on the drugs just make something up. He said this in a congressional session he said just make stuff up get them on something else senate and is he still against marijuana in twenty twenty. He's against everything still he's hey man Komo nannies drug dealers. They just need new products. They're looking for new products like anybody else like brokers on Wall Street. If they had leg hairs like little kids around. They'd be all right they would have to sell drugs. That could just be lifeguards. So what does the qualitative difference between Bloomberg and Joe Biden? Bloomberg has money and he's trying to buy an election which is interesting. Yeah Spider not. I mean they're both Authoritarians Bloomberg is actually a businessman that he's the best one out there but he's got a lot of money so he's done something right and also everyone hates him because he's all misogynistic and a actually that's about it any short. Oh He's really short. I still think it's funny that Trans People that they're completely ignoring the fact that Tulsi Gabbard is still in the race. Yeah I'm not surprised like we'RE GONNA RIG IT. You're not even invited the next. I was surprised. Peut gave up budgets prejudge. Well it's because that was part of the rigging Machar and they can't both be Biden's vice president. They don't need to be allies. The establishment arena. I thought when cloture drop out. I'm like all right. She's going to be vying for the vice-presidential position see when they're getting dropped out and I'm like Oh crap what they're hoping for now is that no one has a clear lead when they go to us so they have to second round of the establishment candidate voters can pick but who would have had a chance of it stadium. If you're if you're young and you wash your hands you'll be just fine. It's a low populations about twenty three thousand. The taxes aren't the best but there are surrounding towns. There's some really nice surrounding towns around keen. So you could basically use the amenities here in keene and live out in one of the surrounding towns and have yourself some property and have yourself a little little urban gardener. Whatever is far as taxes are concerned. It's not that great but let me tax everywhere yet. But it's but a lot of people just look at the property tax. And that's all they consider New Hampshire in general is one of the lowest I think the third or fourth lowest in the country. I don't know what you're dealing with up there in Canada. That's where you're coming from but it's actually significantly lower here in this state than it is for for example is not low at all. They're everything's taxed over there interesting. So evidently it is on the FREAKING DOT COM website. Reasons Hyphen to hyphen moved to gain. I said that very poorly as reasons to move too keen all separated by physical. Find it at the FREAKING DOT com website. There's been a lot of political success. The cops here are about as well behaved and friendly as you can hope to find from. People who like are are paid mercenaries acting to afford it is it is. It's magical how human beings will You know Settled down. It'd be more civil when they are when they think that their actions might get out there and people might actually see them. Shooting dogs are kicking down doors. There are a lot less likely to do those types of things. If they know they'll be on youtube that night yes and they know they will be hearing. Cain and and if it's not if it's not actually happening to US people will contact us and they'll ask especially they'll usually go straight to to Mr Freeman but He who is a you know he's a reporter in his own right. He will usually go out there and Check on things and you might just your Your issues with the the state with the with the the you know the city or the state Are going to be readily available to anyone. Who is interested in this type of material? It'll be right out there. And so yeah it's your human beings are a lot of when Samir talker. See here for real. What do you think Mister Canada? I have him on. Hold because of the feedback. Hold on a Moment John. Here we go. Can you hear me hear just fine? Oh cool so you guys suggesting that just your monitoring? The police has created some change in the please culture there absolutely and there are a lot more. Imagine you have your own life experience of it but I mean. Is there a way to log the General? It's it's my general opinion dealing with the COPS and other states in dealing with here in this state. There's lots of videos of police encounters in keene as well you can find on Youtube. You can also find that one hundred one reasons film on Youtube which is more geared towards the free state project. If you've heard of the Free State project it is a migratory movement to move to hold onto the state. The State of New Hampshire not just keen but to the state in general that is already underway with what four thousand five thousand people have already moved supposedly down and there are other communities who handle things a little differently. You definitely have your politicos usually over in the Manchester Concord area. Yeah but it's worth pointing out that The the ad he was talking about promoting the Free State project right promoting specifically moved to the man the move here period if he is a man. If you're if you lean towards liberty and you just think Qian's a little too Democrat for Ya little left leaning there. There are likely to get arrested by the police who are not accountable. Don Valley Street beaten. Manchester's GEL is so bad that the superintendent of the jail was recently the new. Say something like yeah but it makes her no longer complaining about getting dragged around by their hair and beaten so I mean things have improved dude. That's really low bar. Meanwhile at the the Cane Gel here is typically called the Cheshire. County spiritual retreat. Because it's one of the Nicer chills that you can involuntarily spend your time in which by the way they can't keep filled with our own people here in this area that we we ship all over the state because we have. We have room for them. Well the state ships that man. Yes I don't ship them in that. Well the state ships a man and the jail gets money for it so there and I and as well and I am not as either but I mean it's better to ship them there. I guess then Valley Street Manchester or to the State Penitentiary and Concord. I think but yeah. They police cut block. I don't know if it was founded here but the people who founded cop block have certainly lived here. the keene cop block group has Kinda tied down beds but the cops are still one hundred percent used to being on camera. They don't even think anything about it anymore. Where you have police assump- jurisdictions who will attempt to arrest you for trying to video them and who will make up lies say no. You don't have my permission video me. You can't stand here videotaping this or recording this. You don't have any of that crap. Hearing keen they definitely believe they have rights that The the rest of sheep don't and it's also a college town which means that are cops are just inherently less likely to shoot people. Because Mommy and daddy have money. And they will sue the city of keene into oblivion if the keene. Pd shoots their their little. Charlie because Charlie was smoking a joint out on the sidewalk so there are all sorts of reasons. But it's also a cold place. There's lots to see and do it mostly bars but there are a lot of bars. Some of them take crypto currency. So there's also that checkout they WANNA one reasons film. It's got a lot in their Roger. By far the best. Recent though is the CRYPTO CURRENCY. I went to store today. I bought this monster using bitcoin. Five four five zero three seven three three in which tonight it's Aria and Johnson Conan. And we've been trying to get into this article about Alzheimer's until some idiots happened as they tend to do when you allow people to call in talk about whatever is on their mind you you learn very quickly that the average person has absolutely nothing worthwhile on their mind but by all means if you actually want to have a conversation about anything that's not what occurred in the first hour then by all means break us up. We don't need to talk about this. We can talk about whatever you want to. It can even be stuff that was talked about in the first hour. They just have to be able to civil civil civil sick of way of putting it. Thank you so Alzheimer's. Well let's we're talking about what it was. I'm GonNa go through some of the symptoms row before go back into that article people with Alzheimer's have trouble doing everyday. Things like driving a car cooking a meal or paying bills. They may ask the same questions over and over get lost easily. Lose things or put them in odd places and find even simple things confusing as the disease progresses. Some people become worried angry or violent. The time from diagnosis to death varies as little as three or four years. If the person is older than eighty-one diagnosed two as long as ten or more years if the person is younger so there is no treatment as of yet. It's a horrible horrible way to go. I already have a plan Inaction I know what I'm going to be doing if I get it basically. I'm going up north and going bear hunting in February I. I assume that's in New England thing I guess that's a that's a CONAN thing. That's me going out like a fighter. 'cause I don't WanNa go I do who you did. You bring me my picnic basket aginst. I brought you some steak. That's it's just not a way that I WANNA go out. There's I can think of a lot quicker better ways to to go out you know and of course. I'll get my house in order before before but yeah bear hunting okay in February so back to the article. According to a study that was two thousand thirteen. I'm sorry Study was just done recently. Between twenty thirteen twenty seventeen. There was an eighty three percent rise in cases of Alzheimer's from all ages and I'll get actually break those ages down a little bit overall early onset. Diagnosis increased by two hundred percent among commercially insured. Americans between ages thirty and sixty four that included a five hundred percent jump among those forty five to fifty four and forty percent for those aged fifty five to sixty four. Now I like keeps referring to people to the increase in my people who are commercially insured where I assume that just means. There's no data on people who aren't insured because they're just going insane in their homes correct or out of the you know. They live in a tent behind the grocery store or my question is Any government governmental protected Health insured individuals. Take into account here or is it only private insurance? I wouldn't expect Philip Voice Dot Com to make a distinction between the two and that's in. That is a good point because these numbers might be completely wrong. I imagine would include governmentally insured people as well. Okay if if if that's the case then Than the numbers are probably pretty accurate. The average age the average patient was diagnosed at age forty. Nine still aren't millennials by a long shot. It's no that's like fifteen years outside. Let's actually let's actually look at those numbers. So the average age is forty nine The women are more likely to get fifty. Eight percent of Alzheimer's patients fifty are women Here are the actual numbers from eight from Twenty thirteen twenty seventeen. There was a three hundred and seventy three percent rise from age. Thirty to forty four so went from point nine to four point four. That does not sound like a a thing that should be ignored say substantial increase is substantial increase. Now still. There's still more likely to die. At the new corona virus. Oh my God so silly So still twenty. Four twenty five percent of Alzheimer's patients are puny ages of fifty five and sixty four. So it's still the older. The the boom. The older boomers Dow the forty forty five to fifty four which none of us are in a. It was two point seven percent and it rose to eleven percent so it was a three hundred and eleven percent rise. The older boomers were one hundred. Forty three percent right so all the age groups went up but the biggest increase was aged. Thirty to forty. Four the millennials and a little bit of extra in there too so actually actually my age group is in there. So I'm forty one so I'm actually in this category. They're strong winds. Between between Alzheimer's disease and obesity fat correct the clogging of the cholesterol clogging the small blood vessels in the brain causing plaque in that results. In platinum plaques everywhere every every part of your body gets in the brain while the brain runs on cholesterol and sugar essentially cholesterol is bad for you. Johnson. So this case yeah very very much. So if it's in your brain so John was John from Canada. Who called her while? He's moved keen. Or New Hampshire. New Hampshire is one of the lowest states for people diagnosed with Alzheimer's so we're the healthiest states in that country to go down to Florida. We're all held. People are retiring is one of the worst state. Fattest states in the country. Well and good point because all of the Southern States Alabama Mississippi Louisiana South Carolina are all heavily a diagnosed rates. They're also all voting for the candidate with Alzheimer's most likely see. There's any other good numbers on here. Where where am I learned about? Roach's North Texas Carolina. I mean TEX are. I don't even know where I am where you you might have. Alzheimer's the results of this report concerning especially the increases in early onset dementia Alzheimer's disease among younger people. Dr Richard Snyder chief medical officer for the Independent Blue Cross said in a statement while the underlying cause is not clear. Advances in technology are certainly allowing for earlier and more definite definitive diagnosis is regardless those developed dementia or Alzheimer's at an early age are likely or will likely require caregiving either from family members or healthcare providers unless you go bear hunting in February like I planned to do the time. Cost and impact on families can be significant and can require additional support. As the disease progresses diagnosis rates were higher in the east south and parts of the Midwest. Women made up fifty. Eight percent of the diagnos- diagnosis. It does kind of concern me. Because it's my age group that essentially caving in or not caving in but Generating these larger numbers. Yeah of Alzheimer's not infections. But whatever their would development so that's like something I have to worry about now so thanks Conan. Hey I'm trying to make you live longer. I get to spend the next two weeks until I forget about this article entirely whether not. I'm developing Alzheimer. Okay Johnson brought up a good one. You're not overweight. So you got that. Yeah I have a sneaking suspicion that there's a there are two very popular drugs that are widely used amongst this age group. That weren't around when I was a youngster. Think Reagan was on Ritalin. Possibly maybe adderall or cocaine but yeah readily was just coming into incidents into its you know its place in our in our culture and society right around. My time was very much against the meth. Let's go. Let's go to that article. This is this is a right little right up from web. Md written by Kathleen Dot DOE DOE DOE any and she says adults with symptoms of Adhd or attention deficit hyper hyperactive. Let me ask you a quick question here okay. You're on hold now. You seem to be envious that mark and his family are doing just fine now so I have to ask James. How are you doing go ahead are you? How are you doing? I'm James Yes fine. I don't like being lied about on the public airwaves and being duct and being call the racist and the loser by a man who I could break both. Shouldn't literally he literally couldn't even exist literally and the murdered person that Mark Egginton's murderer and health the murder get away with. He's still being a federal country fears. That died in expand James. Are you a question. He he's not. He needs it man he needs to raise some command of Jesus. Christ doesn't command somebody to forgive a murder no-no asking you to forgive me. I'm not asking you to forgive anyone. I asked a simple question. Are you a Christian? Jesus Christ with state of market. You should be in jail a late now James. Stop Talking. Listen and answer the question. Are you a Christian? Where should reach out to Peter Whittaker Kenton Witty kind and interview him who Peter Wittig? I believe it's James's brother who works at an Arizona Law Firm and I'd love to ask him questions about James Interview and be like dude. What was it like growing up with a cycle? They probably don't WanNa talk about him. James Are you. Do you have relations with your family? I'm done with him now. What's the next the next time you're calling James and you call him? I like to hear more about your family. Life parents are gone. Well you still get your siblings. Yup Are you like the black sheep. You've been stepped on all your life and he's definitely the black sheep. I mean most of his family was military. They went on to become attorneys and other military people career choices that I endorse Cohen. That because he would not like that terminology because he's a racist so he doesn't like I don't give a crap. What James kind of like so? I'm just the reason I'm just saying it's a Christian is because there's a lot in the old testament about visiting the sins of the father onto the child but Jesus was adamantly against that sort of thing james so it's not a matter of forgiving mark as a matter of why are you targeting. This child who has done you absolutely no wrong whatsoever. Whatever you would have to say about Jesus. He was not a fan of that And yes he would ask you to forgive a murderer so sorry. You should probably read that book again. I'm thinking you need to. You need to establish your own individual issues and I'm thinking I'm thinking comes from the Family. Just shotgun mouthwash man. Do that to save us. Well we wouldn't wouldn't be exciting on this show anymore. It would be doing himself a favor during the whole the whole country a favor. Yeah but I would say that as I mean. If you're going to talk about his dad gene Eugene what kind yes. He was the former military guys. He was a major in the United States army. He served in World War two in Korea. So you know I would just I who knows what this guy was like you know like for for all. We know deliberated awarded Sorts Soldier. Who was buried in Arlington National Cemetery? No you know he. He has all types James. Yes maybe. That's the excellent point. This guy has all these awards and all but he was asthmatics instructor. What does that mean you know? I would assume that he was relatively intelligent individual. And maybe maybe when you say maybe touched was more like punched. It's flatter up or maybe both so there could be some some family issues route that some serious family issues that have basically turned into turn made this monster. So what do you do about that? That's the question we're asking here. Conan has the article up about it. What is the difference between? Add adhd? Good point I thought they were the same thing this attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is what eight. Adhd is and. I don't know there is just an ad. Eighty hours add correct. You're absolutely right Johnson. Do you know. Adhd add compared to adhd disorder versus attention attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Okay so one of them also has hyper activity right right. When I'm super hyper energetic. Right and the other just can't focus. Yes so both of them are probably related to deficiency in dopamine in the brain and what happens with people who are dopamine seeking people they do things like to generate more dopamine and use update they basically churn through dopamine a lot and one of the activities that people who like to churn through dopamine two things social media and video games. I knew you're going there self itself treating and self you're creating an external self reward system but isn't that isn't everyone dopamine seeking in this in this call all human beings are some people are just worse about it in in churn through faster Nita and basically very boredom intolerant as what I would refer to it as so. I'm extremely boredom. Boredom intolerant and I am also diagnosed. Add was when. I was a kid. Although when I was young Boorda's tolerant. Sounds like a positive thing though? It sounds like a positive thing. But it's not good if you're a human being who has a brain because you're literally burning through your like humans are meant to do a lot of bored boredom stuff if you think historically you know what humans do with their lives. It's like for the most part throughout history. We've been doing things like staring at sheep wandering. You know like US watching US. Right get done. No would you put when you plant your crops. You walk away and you go. You go have sex in the Hay. Bale or paid rocks to the girl village girl. I've been playing too much starting value. So it's just you know so you were. Add Yeah so as prescribed. Re-lane I took it like once and I mean I just I think it was like a week or whatever that it was on this and I was testing it out when I was in middle school. Actually when I was first diagnosed in prescribed this and I had these feelings of rage that were just coming out of nowhere like I just started walking angry for no reason and I'm like this is horrible. I I want off of this immediately. Your parents notice as well or was it. Just you noticed it. I noticed that I was like experiencing emotions not linked to any reason. How old were you sixth grade What is this around the age of puberty? I say random rage just like normal all week of the Ritalin and then going away immediately after going off of it you know. It was definitely linked to that you know. And I don't know I I wouldn't say felt brandon rage. Probably more like random attraction to women but not not rage at that age. Now so since. Then you probably. You probably haven't tried outer all in your adult life simply because of that. You know that past experience I thought about it was actually given some but then I got rid of it. Yeah I always wanted to try it. See what it was like to see what the hype is all about and then I met someone who's taking it all the time and I'm like dude. You're crazy anything like you got. You got serious neurotic problems and we all know who who this person. I don't feel it's weird. I do feel sometimes like they can't focus but then I sometimes have really good focus like I can work on certain projects for a long long periods of time. I just have to distract myself at regular intervals and then go back to it. So it's like Kinda bouncing back and forth but I don't know I feel like I've developed my own means of which is probably the way to do it. You know to not fake to bake it but to actually train yourself. I will say though though again. I do feel like it comes back to being people who are boredom intolerant and I do think that that's a bad thing. In fact there are people in Silicon Valley. Of course who are like they're going to go on these Dopamine diets or dopamine fasting is what it's called dopamine fasting so it's literally taking away computers and phones and Video Games and Social Media. And whatever else so they're recreating the Catholic tradition of lint. Maybe but the idea is to spend a significant amount of time being bored and what that does is it allows your brain kind of refresh and Kind of detox from constant dopamine constant tiny dopamine hits. Facebook is kind of responsible for this like you're constantly being hit with a little GIGOLO dopamine Russia. I gotta like US Social Reaction You know. People and people are just seeking this especially in younger generations constantly getting hit with these little dopamine tents. And it's it's you know. There's a lot of research to suggest that this isn't necessarily good for you of in terms of its messing with people's reward reward functions in their brain and really messing with people's ability to properly be motivated to do things that are a lot more meaningful and it might actually cause cognitive deterioration later on in life. They could be linked to the Alzheimer's and we don't even know it. Yeah well according to to this study this Argentina study people with Adhd are three times more likely to form some sort of dementia later in life. What did it say that? Adhd is linked to having dopamine problems in the first place. I made so their their brain. Chemistry is already screwed up in some way. And so that's that's a really good question. What the Hell is Adhd? Is it even real? Because you can't see with brain scans. I mean what Justin describes as being a for a bunch of intolerant. Yeah see I was thinking. He used a version that I was trying to find a different form of that word. That sounds normal exactly exactly so I was. I'm very happy that I was born when I was not later in life because I would have been that kid see I. I don't spend any moment of my day being bored. If I'm bored I WILL PICK UP. A book or I will pick up my guitar. Pickup video game controller. Hyperactive kid. I was the one who I was the one who got though we're talking. Add and but I'm thinking there but aren't they basically the same thing? They both have the same one dollars plus hyperactivity they both get Ritalin take both can but Johnson wasn't Ritalin. He tried it for a week and didn't like it. He was about to about the turn into the hulk. Start Punching people no good. I'm glad I didn't. I wasn't all doped up as a kid and I had just fresh Air Force Toronto. This is free talk live. Let me ask you something. It would seem one hundred percent or does pieces. Fragments just fragments. But that's not stopping people from declaring winter's here Bernie Sanders winning. Vermont with forty-seven percent. I get why they would call that. One is his home state. Virginia with ninety seven percent reporting. Okay go ahead and call that will but here you have. North Carolina six percent reporting Joe Biden one. Now I don't know about the county makeup of these places how they do things but it seems like they may be cooler that a little bit too early in unless they know something we don't. Here's another main. John is not called. Sorry the Alabama Joe Biden one one percent reporting Joe Biden one. They said I don't even know what to say. It sounds completely and totally useless. Which you know in general politics is so so we've been talking about. Add adhd here on the show and as we were discussing during the break. I'm still not convinced that boredom intolerance is a bad thing. 'cause I spend almost every minute of every day doing something and most of it is productive. Yeah I'm thinking if you are bored at any time I thinking that's a sign that something's not right that you need to go be fulfilled. You need to go find something in your life to keep you busy to keep you active to get you out there breathing fresh air and meeting New People and whatnot. I think I think it's a symptom of a bad lifestyle. I would agree. Boredom taught me how to play the guitar. Boredom cost me to write. Several books. Cost me to start doing podcasts. And to start a blog that ultimately led to me being here on free talk live also a result of boredom when I took up doing call to freedom every day. All of these are not results of boredom but results of wanting to eliminate boredom. Exactly I think it's a good thing and I think if you take that away chemically I think you have only done yourself. Harm turn yourself. Basically into little drone little sheep a little mindless drone who you know follows. Orders Raises Raises his hand to dismiss teachers. I can use bathroom. So is that what these? Add adhd drugs. Do is they make people. Okay they make any board. I'm I I've never. I've never taken I've I really. I know that I've never been diagnosed with having add. But I'm as averse to boredom as I personally can get. We were talking about what the differences basically. Add is just. They're the same thing except one. You have little fidgeting and Squirming so you're so you're you your boredom intolerant but you also can't sit still because you're because you're just so bored you gotta get out there and start doing things. If I had ever been diagnosed thankfully I wasn't. I would have had the hyper activity part. Because that's a guy who was all over the place Cormon and no one liked me a couple. Teachers alight me but and finally got finally got over it. I mean it wasn't that bad once. I started getting into her teenage years. I said I other problems at other problems. We all did. Well the ones who. Yeah the ones who weren't all drugged up. Most of the kids I remember as having add adhd and they were more often than not on the more intelligent side of things and they were bored in school. Of course. I was born in school as well but I was better behaved. I guess at least during that particular part of my life. It wasn't until like my freshman year of high school that I just religious went off the rails and started smoking behind the building and things like that low. Yeah acting out in class. It was no screw. You and your stupid roles. I'm GonNa do what I want. And then they implemented uniform so you can imagine how that went for someone who is used to wearing. Kinko and kick wear trip yeah. Let's let's implement uniforms here. This go well so Johnson you are of the mind that boredom intolerance is a negative. Think possibly okay. I don't really know it feels like a negative thing. It feels like people it sounds like board and okay with it. I don't know why because finding ways to fill one time with productive or even unproductive things seems like a good use of one's time all the better if they're productive but I play video games just like anyone else that's not productive now. What did you find? Johnson that said video games you said it just increased dopamine levels it. But it's not actually. You don't think cause of Alzheimer's 'cause I always thought the best thing you can do recording to the studies. But I mean who knows you know? Alzheimer's really is and how it's causing whatnot. But the best thing to do is to stay active to be reading plane puzzles so Doku scrabble. Keeping your mind. Active is the best way to prevent it. And I'm telling you man when I play video game. I'm more active than ever all right. Well I guess I'll make this my prep and just go into a story then about About this thing is. They're actually science behind. Dopamine fasting trendy concept of dopamine fasting actually finds its recent established addiction therapies. Dopamine fasting may be Silicon Valley's latest wellness trend art human beings like biologically designed to become addicted to is it that like the focal point of human existence to find a way to get dopamine and beat it into the ground here. But if this isn't that why humans house that's it's seemingly easy to do this now but yes. If it was caveman days we would be totally. We would always fighting to get that next rush and fight off the Grizzly at the same time or the bully. Mammoth but now it's it's a button click. I can get a hundred different ways to pop my dopamine by a couple of button clicks so we just replaced having lots and lots of sex with playing lots and lots of video games it just going to say hundreds of things and I think one hundred things to do right now see because I don't know that the PLO caveman playing with sticks and the dark there was more sex going on historically than there is now a days. I would say that it's probably the reverse is true. I don't know but I mean speaking of how human beings generally acquired dopamine worked as many obvious option. San But I was actually about to change that because remember hold on hold up because the Caveman did wall drawings or played in the dirt with a stick or spare time getting the exact same dopamine rush or at the shepherd playing watching his sheep out there and playing in the grass would create little game of it and get the same dopamine rush. As you playing world of warcraft it is it is absolutely. You're also when you bring up something like the way that we get the death of me but humans have always been after that rush to a certain extent but what you're talking about is first of all major. Dopamine had something like saks or food or something like that can result in a major dopamine. Rush but you out. The workforce minor dopamine Russia's Shepherd flicking pebbles or whatever to see if he can get them to land on this stump yet that's as created a little game. He gets little dopamine list every time you got little ones little tiny ones and he ended up saying little ones you get from facebook and he has to work for it. I know but that's just a button. Click away all work. It's a different type of work but pressing that button is still work. Just like flipping that little pedal pepple. I think a check mark next to my someone thumbs up thumbs up. Being one of my posts is a much bigger. Dopamine hit than me playing solitaire myself push versus pull so facebook. Something that's coming from. An external source is a push not pull in other words. If you're going to play a game and you're choosing to go do that on your own right your your choosing to pull that activity. Create your your choosing to facebook to say that you have but most people are not necessarily choosing to go on facebook. They're just doing it because it's a routine because it feels good. Sure because the shepherd not flip rocks onto the stub for exactly the same reason. Again it's Po- versus push what they're bringing up facebook. They're making the choice to bring up facebook. But most people aren't consciously really making that choice. They're just doing it. Because of the dopamine rush you could just as easily have the shepherd out there flipping stones right. You'RE NOT GONNA be lying in bed throwing across the room. If I have book I probably would cut but candlelight at night in your bed going on a throw stones endure thing. That is silly but kids. During the Victorian Ariza commonly lay in bed playing games with this how truth of dare got invented. Yeah there's going to be certain levels of that but okay. Maybe you didn't grow up in the eighties. It was a boring time. I don't know if you're aware it was more or less boring than any other time. Sure and if I do if I go over you give girlfriend behind you. You also don't want to go over and like you sit down. Here's twenty dollars. It's gone That's awful. You want the twenty dollars. WanNa bet in a way that twenty dollars going to last at least you like an hour an hour two hours. Because that's what you would spend if you went to a movie you know right so at least that's my thought you know that's how I play. I don't want to sit down and watch twenty dollars disappear. Do you have at it gambling? It makes me ill. It makes me physically ill I cannot. I can't it's one of the things where any any kind of risk. You've just like freaked out if it's uncontrollable risk. Now I mean if it's you know an old junker that's two hundred dollars like all right. Well this is a gamble I I can. I can fix it if it breaks down to me on that because it doesn't feel like gambling because I know that I'm not going to spend more than that so it's like if I am sitting down going with the mindset the money's gone like I'm going into the mindset that I'm GonNa burn this money hopefully it's GonNa last me an hour or two to burn this money and that if I win money than all. That's all I'm getting is like they're going to win money or I'm not going to win money. But in the meantime I'm sitting down to be entertained for an hour or two you know and I'm paying for that. As the cost of drinks were not go to casinos. Yeah sure because you can get very drunk very quickly and it doesn't cost you anything exciting tipping the server. Ideally right and it's cheaper than going. Not Not here in. Kane hearing Kim like forty bucks to get way more drunk than you can in Las Vegas. You're not gonNA find a bar where you can do that. But Take Forty Bucks to a Casino. You can get hammered. Inland two hours. And you might. You just might leave with more money than you came with. You don't expect it. Yeah exactly I go there to drink. This is my drinking money here and at work as they will keep coming to you. We'll keep it flowing as long as you keep gambling they will keep bringing you drinks until you vomit and they have to ask you to lead. The thing is just makes small bets and go as slow as you possibly can. Another reason why slot machines are so bad because they burn through money so quickly. So let's talk about this dopamine fasting so this this whole like Silicon Valley bad people. People are actually doing this. Yeah so so is it. Isn't it kind of just like going off grid for a week or something? Or here's the thought. It's during a SO-CALLED Dopamine. The New York Times reported. So Vox and the New York. Times reported this taking a break from sins and small pleasures. Fasters attempt to reset the brain's reward system a network wired in part by chemical called dopamine. After a fast they report feeling more focused and finding more joy and the activities that they've avoided according to business insider. How long has a normal fast? I don't know day three days a week home. Probably that's probably a week. Fifteen minutes actually. Fifteen minutes might be perfect for some people out there. Somebody's somebody's posters. Despite its suppose it benefits and good detentions. Dopamine fasting has stirred up controversy. Dr Cameron Sepah a psychologist. Who helped popularize? Dopamine fasting has argued that some people have pushed the practice to an unfounded extreme and attracted attention from Click Bait journalists bent on mocking Silicon Valley. Meanwhile some recent news articles have argued that the trend oversimplifies oversimplifies the role of dopamine in the brain to the point of being inaccurate. There's a tweet here from Bethany this Just because rich dudes and white silicon which white dude and Silicon Valley do? It doesn't mean it's smart or make sense it. I don't I don't see any distinction between it may be in fact be in extreme version of lint because as I understand the Catholic tradition. They just give up one thing. Yeah but is it lit like sacrifice whereas this is actually more of a spiritual sacrifice healthy. It's it's more of a health benefit if you if it's actually doing what they say that it does well so if you are Catholic and you believe it. How many how really spiritually healthy. But how many people really believe it or they're just doing it because that's what we do. I I see no reason. I'm not going to start doubting the sincerity of people's beliefs that they say they're sincerely believed to me. That just leads down a bad road. Well they say they believe it. I'M GONNA assume they believe and these people. These dopamine fasters believe that it works and so there are people believe essential oils will save them from Corona virus to or cure their cancer. Well live science supposedly dug into the issue. They say to clear up any confusion live live. Science spoke with X. can't talk live. Science spoke with experts about the neurobiology of addiction tried and tested therapeutic practices and the many roles of dopamine in the brain. The Take Home Message. Is that dopamine fasting though perhaps poorly named grew out of established methods in addiction therapy and maybe beneficial if executed properly first of all what is dopamine do. First and foremost dopamine is a neurotransmitter a chemical passed between neurons like handwritten notes between school children neighboring neurons pass these notes through intricate networks in the brain by exchanging neurotransmitters brain cells work together to process information and direct behavior according to brain fax dot Org many brain networks rely on dopamine to function properly including a collection of brain structures seated in the center of the organ known as the mess Olympic reward. Pathway this evolutionary ancient pathway helps control our response to rewards like food sex and drugs according to the Income School of Medicine at Mount Sinai from this past week pathway dopamine ventures out to other brain regions that shape our memory expectations emotions and reactions about rewards although often described as a feel good chemical dopamine doesn't work by triggering feelings of pleasure and happiness in the brain's reward center. Michael Treadway a clinical psychologist neurologist. At starting neuroscientists to emory university told life-science this is still hotly debated but I think most dopamine researchers today would agree that dopamine is not about pleasure treadway said instead dopamine maybe more about motivation the willingness to expend effort to reach goals and gain rewards. He said how was I not about pleasure. It's but it's it's it's both. It's both motivated and pleasurable. Maybe I mean that's the way it works. I mean you you killed that monster and get some gold and the time goes off and you level up so you've gained ground and you get your motivated to do that. Because you want the reward correct. It would be the same thing if you got that raise at work because you're working sixty hours a week and you're you're trying to sum climb the ladder and you get that reason. That's the dopamine hit. The idea is that for example. Maybe people who get these this constant drip of dopamine from facebook and then our demotivated by having that constant reward of dopamine might then also not be willing to then get up and go to the gym for example because their reward is deployed as going to the gym inherently better than sitting on facebook. You get the dopamine from from from that workout. But you've got to work with it again. You have to work to post a mean to get the likes. It's just a different kind of so much easier. It's is clicks junk food. Does that matter junk food. Because it's because it's too it's too you're making you're making qualitative assessments that one of these other making qualitative assessment and. I'm asking why why is going to the gym. Better the sitting on your phone using facebook because one makes you fat and Die Sooner. And the other thing life south personally witnessed. Why are you trying to be independent individual assessment of the person who feels like they are making bad decisions because they are dopamine saturated? So let's not make the statement that it's some sort of an object that go into the niche less on subjective truth to the people who are how. I'm really screwed by what I'm doing with my time. That's it checking demeaning into me. I need to take dopamine fast and directive reality. That is literally subjective because they are literally subjects. But it's their own subjective experience and determination. Yes but when I'm getting at here is that both of you are asserting that going to the gym is somehow inherently objectively implying. Back from. You're asking what the difference was there. Both dopamine hit so I go work in our. I'm going to feel really good. Not that you're going to feel really good if you sit on facebook posting likes to. But I'm you're looking down on one while the other why we're talking about which one's easier to do why does making it easy make it bad. Hope because because posting mean in a second that you didn't even create just with a couple of button clicks and you get the same satisfaction is going out and work in an hour. But you already said you could have big better. Dopamine hit from going out for an hour they might be the same they might be exact same level. I'm saying one you have to work for and that makes it all different. But you're still working when you download and share the light. You share the me but if I can do it. It's a different kind of fifteen seconds. It's it's the level that took me to get to that. Dopamine hit was so much easier and I probably gained some pounds do it. Are you like one of these? People like thinks that there's not like things that are healthier for you like if you go out and you get a Burger Burger King or you know healthier and healthier than the other plenty of our healthy and I'm saying that it really doesn't matter. It's false to say that eating healthy eating. Oh Hey nihilism tattooed on me. I think I. I'm not about to go dopamine fasting but I think that the way that you get your dopamine hits everyday does matter. And facebook clicks versus pumping iron is two different worlds and one is better than the other meaning. What do you make that assessment? We'll talk about next segment.
