Michigan election workers needed during coronavirus crisis


Pull workers were in such shorts of play across the state that Governor Whitmer and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson are encouraging state employees to help out with the primary because of fears about the Corona virus. Elderly poll workers are not showing up the governor and the secretary of state or asking them to consider vacation days or leaves of days because of the shortage. The request comes as clerks prepare for an increased number of absentee ballots, double or triple the usual amount.
