"President trump wrapping up the NATO summit in London this morning where he was supposed to hold a press conference but instead decided to cancel it and return to Washington earlier than scheduled Washington correspondent Rachel Scott has been covering the president and joins us from DC Rachel the president said he's already been heard from enough during the summit you and I both know the president has never seen a camera or microphone that he doesn't like so what was the real story here yeah the president did cancel that conference that press conference like you said he said that he had already said enough and of course the president traveling back to Washington DC wall back here at home the house Judiciary Committee held its first public impeachment hearing which is still under way right now so without them the miles away president trump was still paying close attention to what was happening on Capitol Hill hi he talked about how he was not going to watch it he said it was going to be boring and that it would be of little interest any called an unfair as something that the president was also paying attention to well it was a video a video clip of a reception last night inside Buckingham Palace and just picture that you have Canada's prime minister Justin Trudeau standing with several world leaders in a circle and Trudeau was caught on camera gossiping about the president where's the other world leaders he was caught laughing talking about how the president held a forty minute press conference during one of their meetings and he said the when the president announced that he was unexpectedly announced that he was going to hold the G. seven meeting next year at camp David I'd heard said he watched the president's advisers and his team their jobs were dropped to the floor and he was also talking about president trump for president trump of course fired back calling the two faced and that all kind of landed to the president kind of canceling this press conference today heading back early here to Washington so certainly some fireworks that played out at the NATO summit in London and fireworks happening here at home yeah that video leading to the president saying he's he's two faced but he's a nice guy the president said that he was he may be Trudeau was mad about him you know asking them to pay more money as he's been asking all the NATO countries to pay more money so what is it what is he saying now that he's back at home or what are you hearing from the White House about the NATO summit or anything else we know the president still in the air he's expected to land back in Washington DC in just a little a little over two hours or so so he will be he will be traveling back here today and we'll see whether or not he wants to talk to the camera you know we didn't wanna talk earlier but you want to talk to the cameras on the way back in you know at the NATO summit right you have you had all the world leader they were trying to show a sign of unity right that's for the purpose of this military alliance that twenty nine members there the stretching across the Atlantic and so the purpose there is to let it solidify this military alliance but clearly a behind the scenes in the closed door and even the president was caught on camera saying that he bought his comment about judo being two faced was funny so clearly a lot a lot happening behind the scenes playing out as well as the world leaders mad and tried to solidify this alliance hi Rachel Scott for us in Washington tonight Rachel thank you very much the president did meet with Germany's angular Angela Merkel before he left town"
