Ivanka Trump deposed in lawsuit alleging misused inaugural funds
Senior White House adviser even could Trump has been deposed by the Washington D. C Attorney general's office. NPR's Windsor Johnston reports. This is part of a lawsuit alleging the misuse of inauguration funds that enriched President Trump's family. Washington, D C Attorney general's office had filed a lawsuit against the Trump Organization and the Presidential Inauguration Committee back in January. The office says the group's misused more than a million dollars raised by the committee by grossly over paint to use event space at the Trump Hotel for the 2017 inauguration. D C Attorney general says the inaugural committee knew it was paying above market prices and failed to consider cheaper alternatives. In a statement, a lawyer for the Trump Organization said Ivanka Trump's on Lee involvement was connecting parties and instructing the hotel to charge a fair market rate.
