Listen: Congress, Michael Flynn And Rachel discussed on The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell
"Now it's time for the last word with Lawrence O'Donnell, good evening. Well, it was unredacted day a little bit. I mean, and really powerfully interesting. New information to put it mildly redacted in that court filing. Oh, yeah. I mean the Flint stuff about what Flynn co co operated on, and then just like the follow up rulings from the judge. Oh, and by the way, I want the recordings of the intimidating phone call from the president's lawyer when he called in the middle of the night. And tells you not to cooperate and I want the recording of you talking to the Russians. And by the way, I'm ordering the Justice department to publicly release it unredacted Miller report. So the thing about the wanting to hear the recording makes perfect sense to me. Because when you read the transcript of the reporting in the mullahs report is I'm about to do on DVD there, there would appear to be edits in there is these little ellipses throughout and so. And they seem to be taking words out, for whatever reason. And so that makes perfect sense that the judges wanna know, okay, what's it, what I need everything? That's, especially since since that call is taken to be a in the mullahs report. A piece of the obstruction of Justice case. That's right. And, you know, the is when you when you re when you have a block, quote like that, and it's got Lipsey in. It's about what one person in a conversation with saying it's often because they're taking a recording transcribed are taking a recording of a conversation between two people or whatever, but that was a recording of a voicemail. Right. So the season the visas and whatever you really wanna know what's in there. But apparently, we the public are going to get the transcript, the judge is going to get the recording and I wouldn't be surprised if wheel to get the recording to and Rachel before you go. Just one little note in there that really struck me that was part of what was unredacted today, it says that, that Michael Flynn was subject to potential interference in his testimony by people connected with the administration, and then congress and Colorado's does that mean members of congress as that. Mean congressional staff. Does that mean Devon Nunez best friend? What is that, that congress word jumped out at me as the most enormous possibility in their exactly who in connected to congress are like in who has with, with, with congressional reference is contacting Michael Flynn about his cooperation too. I mean there's been some intriguing stuff about members of congress in the Manafort prosecution. There was some redacted stuff that seemed to indicate that somebody with congressional connections may have done some bad stuff that, that Manafort got in trouble with. There's this reference in terms of somebody related to congress, having taken part in what appears to have been an obstructive effort in terms of getting Michael Flynn, not to cooperate. I mean I don't know. There's a there's fourteen redacted cases that are that are twelve fourteen cases that derived from prosecution that were referred to other prosecutors are once we haven't seen the possibility that some of that has something to do with people in Congress's congressional susp. List in my head right now we're going to save that for later. Thank you, Rachel, thanks. Well, the Trump trade wars are really hurting, the American farm, the American farmer is the biggest loser in the Trump trade war. And so Donald Trump was just taking tax payer, money and handing it to American farmers.."
