Global travel and tourism projected to shed 174 million jobs


GeneCo's Sola reports the world Travel and tourism Counsel says global travel and tourism could lose 174 million jobs this year because of bands on travel between countries and quarantines. Council says prolonged restrictions could eliminate $4.7 trillion in the sectors contribution to the global economy this year, down more than 50% from a year ago. The group wants quarantines replaced with rapid cost effective testing. The group previously predicted 197 million job losses, but revised the number because China has managed to better contain the virus. GeneCo's Sola Fox News
