Listen: Mark Sibito, Asheville And Carolina discussed on Charlotte at Six
"With what false Sunday night, a mix of rain and freezing rain, and sleet the way it looks probably not snow. The it's not so much problem because of bounces off everything, but the freezing rain is like glue. It just sticks to the power lines and trees everything creates an invisible layer just dangerous ice. So that's what I'm really concerned about is that freezing rain in the forecast amounts are up to maybe a quarter inch of ice. And then Monday, I think we wash it all out of here. Finally with highs in the upper thirties after some morning mixed bag type stuff, and then we get through next week. Just wanna put a little good news in there. I think we're in the low to mid forties. That's better that'll melt everything off and then. By next Friday. We could be looking at a chance of showers and thunderstorms next system, which is forecast next week with highs in the fifties. It is a it is a Carolina wild ride with this weather for sure. But I would just this weekend. Be extremely careful. I would not do any necessary travel. I don't I'm not gonna go out on a limb and say travel, we'll get impossible around here. But it could get pretty difficult. Do you have any travel westward towards like Asheville or somewhere like that? I would forget about it the forecast snow amounts there there could be ten to sixteen inches. So hopefully, this is the only one we get all winter. But you know, who knows? Not even that he would officially winter yet. I know Mark. Thanks, Mark sibito with the Weather Channel. So the snow starts tomorrow night. Then snow, sleet and freezing rain on Sunday. And the road crews are."
