California firefighters struggle to put out massive Bobcat fire


Wildfire burning in southern California moved into more residential communities. Today, thousands of residents are under mandatory evacuation orders. Remember station KPCC Julia Paschen reports. Firefighters hoped a few days of cooler temperatures would help tame the bobcat fire in the Angeles National Forest. Instead, high winds pushed the flames north into the foothill communities above. Fire crews are working to stop the fire from spreading further north west. Some residents along the southern end of the fire have been allowed to return home as firefighters get a handle on the area near the fire's origin. While conditions have improved, the historic Mount Wilson Observatory remains under close watch. For
