Philadelphia Promotes First Black Female Battalion Fire Chief In 149-Year History


Nearly 150 YEAR history. The Philadelphia Fire Department promotes its first black woman as battalion chief Kyi. W's John McDevitt has more so solemnly swear for Philadelphia Fire Department captain's reporting as chiefs among them 39 year old Lisa Forest. She most recently served as captain at Ladder 20 form West Philly. She also was the first black female captain on the department. But I come from a family of strong women, and, uh My family values I try to bring into the fire department stands all stand strong and some things I could be down come back everyday when even better attitude. And the attitude days making bird Commissioner Adam Teal I wanna be very clear Anybody who gets promoted the Philadelphia Fire Department earns it. Absolutely.
