Surging US virus cases raise fear that progress is slipping


Coronavirus cases are surging in the south and west raising fears the outbreak is spiraling out of control after months of hard won progress former CDC director Tom Frieden is looking at five states Arizona Alabama Florida South Carolina and Texas where he says case numbers and the rates of positive tests are rising so they're heading into big outbreaks that are going to continue for at least another couple weeks until they do something differently masks are not required state wide in any of the five though some of their governors are urging citizens to wear them with more cases in Louisiana governor John bel Edwards is extending restrictions on businesses instead of moving to the next re opening phase there are a lot of people out there who are saying they're done with this virus will the virus in done with us Sager make ani Washington
