Fire crews continue to battle the bobcat fire in the Angeles National Forest. It looks like they'll be in for a long night. The Southern fire remains at 3% containment and it's flared up in multiple areas, Officials say strong winds are pushing the more than 50,000 acre fire in several directions. Crews have been working hard to protect landmarks and numerous saying Gabriel Foothill communities. They were able to successfully pushback flames from the historic Mount Wilson Observatory last night. But the fight is far from over. Many residents are under evacuation orders and part of the Antelope Valley. Thousands more remain under evacuation warnings in the San Gabriel Valley. Mandatory orders were lifted in some parts of the Sierra Madre and Arcadia residents are still on high alert. Public health officials have extended an air quality advisory for much of Ella, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties due to the fire driven smoke due to the smoky skies from the fire.
