Police chief predicts Los Angeles will top 300 homicides this year


L. A. Police chief Michael Moore has predicted that the city will see more than three hundred homicides this year he also noted that although there was a brief lull in killings early in the year that police attributed in part to covid nineteen lockdowns homicides spiked in the summer, there have already been more than two hundred, fifty homicides in the city as of last week surpassing the total number of homicides in all of two thousand nineteen the last time the city recorded more than three hundred homicides was in two, thousand nine.
