Automatic TRANSCRIPT

I think there's probably When I set my mind to something I am incredibly focused and detail oriented and For lack of a better word just a little bit anal retentive about things and. I think that that's what I'd probably bring to Beth. The other two characters are maybe like my sister's rebellious in funny and and A little rougher on the edges and my friend is maybe a little bit more relaxed and loving and I'm of the nerdy rigid one that they're always sort of I rolling at and sort of like. Oh Beth didn't get the joke or Beth doesn't understand this or you know Does a little bit of catching up with Beth? And I think I have. They would have to explain to me. They reference something and I do. What is found there like Instagram Christina? Oh I don't know like you know. So they have to teach me stuff just like my kids just living somewhere else on the national scientists. Have no idea what I'm catching up. That's kind of Nice to know that the world well you know I figured if I was Gonna continue to live on planet earth I was going to have to join in some of the activities So when I started I got on instagram. I finally broke down with a little help from my friends and slowly easing into it. It's fun it I'm a I'm enjoying it. It's fun but it's work. Well it is to take a whole separate job. It's not just you doing this. People want to answers. Well you sort of feel like you want to share yourself and Be True to yourself. You know your image and personality so manipulated by interviews magazines in these kinds of things. So this is your platform to just say this is who I am and and it's not being manipulated by anyone else. This is just me. What vision do you think the public has of you? Just based on magazines and social media and the world outside I think that Life see you. Yeah I think a lot of people Assume that I'm sort of Joan from madman that I that maybe I'm a bit more stern or a little bit more uptight or maybe a little more put together a mess like I was there but gene you know dropping things on the floor girl I'm not nearly as sort of put together. And maybe prissy as I think people think maybe I think so. Maybe I'm not well. It's kind of a famous story. Now that basically the agency that was representing you said Madman what. We're not WANNA representative. You're doing that. Show what is it? Amc Show AMC did not have a show. There was no breaking bad at that point there was. There is nothing and we were show. They used to play old movies So they were like this. This show's not going to get picked up. And this shows not gonNA pay anything and it's period show. It's going to be super expensive to make no one's GonNa WanNa make the show it's laborious and you know wordy and And I was like all my favorite. I love laborious because it was it was about characters. And so yeah. That's scary as an actor. Though to have an agency say okay. Go and do it. But we don't want to represent you. It was humiliating. It was awful. It's very embarrassing to be working with people who all of a sudden go. Yeah we're just not interest like we don't think what you're doing is good enough to represent you. You're not worth their time. It's it's awful. They should be embarrassed. Well you know I hope they were and I hope you haven't spoken to and I you know I just haven't seen her because she's no longer an agent but I liked her as a person and I have no hard feelings. There's all sorts of stories in this town. You know what I got to work on that show for ten years and I made the right choice. That's it that's I got another agent. You just go and get another one there. It is people out there who are wondering what you do. Just go get you know you can get another age. Yeah well you good girls to do that. But I'm looking at you and I'm thinking where did the start last time you were here? I don't think I ever asked what it was when you were a kid because I know that you lived in different places when you were growing up. Yeah did you always have this feeling? This was what you wanted to do was at well I started. Dancing was started dancing at a young age. I clearly liked to perform and when we moved twin falls Idaho. I was in third grade and my mom had my brother and I dish for a local community theater. Children's group called jump company junior musical playhouse and she just thought it was. She was just trying to help us make friends 'cause moving from town to town and she she didn't want us to necessarily get stuck in the cliques. At school she she liked the idea of it being community and my mom always liked to do theatre in college and high school so We went and auditioned to be in the best Christmas pageant ever and You know then all of a sudden I was on stage in musicals and doing bye bye Birdie and the chorus in the background and I was like this is. This is where it's at this. This is the most fun I'm ever going to have and I just continued to do it and I just found so much joy and at and singing and dancing and doing the whole thing that I just kept kept going but when you moved again you will go into Virginia to and we went to Virginia after Idaho so when I went to Virginia was the first time that I could take Acting classes in high school as a option. You know as an elective course so my brother. Yeah my brother had been in theater or drama class and so I was so excited because now I was like I can like start to really study. Be Real actress and And I went in and I remember some of the senior students. I was a freshman and they were like. Oh you're really serious about acting and I was like. Oh yeah definitely when I you know and I got a lead in in the in the school play and I was the new kid and I was a freshman and everyone was like ooh fresh. Br One I think it was a blithe spirit. Oh Yeah Ghost. A ghost ghost perfect thing. I had read that. You were bullied at the time when you were going to school in Virginia. Yeah when I first showed up. I was kind of Quirky Weird kid from Idaho that like listen to like new wave music but wore birkenstocks. And like like I. I just like no one could figure out what my story was and I I just. There weren't sort of categories of people where where I went to school in Idaho. You were a kid and I just happened to have like sort of my mom would help me make clothes and I would see something a magazine and we would make some weird snakeskin pants and I just I didn't realize it was sort of odd Until I got to Virginia and everyone was like. Oh you're weird. Trust me here weird and I was like maybe I am and and I immediately went into drama class. Which of course alienates you in some high schools already. Sadly put you with other alienated. And they're the best big creative Weirdos together with the rest of them yes so you know as the years went by then I sort of went through my sort of rock and roll punk goth all that stuff and and just celebrated being different. Didn't they're still? I'm still one hundred percents. People are like. Oh it's so funny that you were. I'm like I am still God. I don't let this Rambo sweater fairly lax eye. Shadow is a black lipstick. Saying yes I will do that. Let's have her. That Goth is bring her temper. Gabby Gabi really. She's the she's in there. You go just vocally in there to do that. Yeah goodness
