You were just talking about immigration and the trump administration's maybe a little bit harder for you to just come over here and sponge off the government which is a good thing R. J. a Hellman almonds that ring okay if from fear is with this to chat a little bit about this and some other things to about your foreign guest workers in this kind of stuff to RJ how are you pretty good how are you I'm doing well Helman right that's it all right so you deserve this spring court ruling last week you can't sponge off the government leaves to make a little bit harder to sponsor of government good news as far as your organization's concern right absolutely administration's done a lot on many facets of the immigration debate you know legal immigration down the border everything spiking up last may we've been month after month of decline in making it harder for people to come up here and take taxpayer benefits but there are some areas where they are falling short in a critical election year right winger well again establishment lawmakers and the ministration of thistles who are beholden to business interests are about to strike yet again it's got a lot of coverage in in conservative media not on at twenty here in Washington where Mick Mulvaney president's chief of staff for giving a private speech in London and he said and I'll quote him on that we are desperate desperate for more people we are running out of fuel for the economic growth that we've had in our nation over the last four years and we need more immigrants are still topic at a time machine the twenty sixteen will president trump made his famous address in Phoenix where he laid out his immigration platform probably something that contributed to him getting elected he blasted Hillary Clinton early meeting with donors and lobbyists and he said he crafted his plan with the input of federal immigration officers through immigration experts and not those who represent workers and corporations well now you're the chief of staff who supported the establishment who once and let the legal immigration into this country you know he called for reforming the legal immigration system to serve the best interests of America and its workers now people do not want to do that yeah the economy is getting better we do have the blue collar boom but that blue collar boom is when wages increase for workers corporations and business interests do not like that the American people do it's essential if president trump wants a second term he needs to keep the blue collar wages growing at the fastest rate in years and not give immigration related handouts to employers who despite the tight labor market you gotta keep helping American workers not them all right well the let's let me play devil's advocate let's just say we got the folks who are looking to do a certain job and they literally can't find me by me what what do they do but then I mean it's one thing to say Hey we're gonna pay you more because of the tight labor market but right what if you just can't find folks to do stuff well here's the thing that you know people always like to say when people make comments like that they're only referring to low skilled manual labour not high skilled foreign workers that isn't true they're pushing for more low skilled labor as forcefully as for calling for more high skilled labor this is something that is double pronged there's a lot of people who are still on the sidelines tens of millions who have not fully entered the labor market yet the only thing to get many people off the sidelines it went benefits are increased wages are increased as well we have to keep tightening the labor market it is a good thing no we understand there are some industries you know what agriculture and things like that where can it is tough to get workers but again it would even be better to automate moved to canonization and some of those industries what rather than having an endless supply of cheap foreign labor coming in here who also rely on taxpayer benefits but again we see that that the white collar level as well you know you have stem workers people are getting fired good to replace them with H. one Z. that was going to be wrong yeah I mean look at this thing your disease having people on your train their own replacement which is you know the human being absolutely you know the lay off three hundred American tech workers and then they'll replace them all with a an Indian people on H. one B. visa or outsource those jobs and again it's at the same time out of the same other side of the mouth we're saying that American children are must grow up and go to college and use stem majors and then when they enter the labor market they're competing with cheaper foreign workers at the same time you you people calling for more armed foreign students going to our colleges and were you staple a green card to him right after they graduate again we need to tighten the labor market even more we're seeing so much economic growth right now it's it's great for our country as a whole and it's great for the president's reelection prospects but again why did he hire so many establishment people and administration officials who don't care about what got him elected all they care about is rewarding to business interests that have fueled the GOP the for decades before he got there yeah I've had this discussion back and forth with listeners in the email we talk about on the radio to when people say you know and I say look there may come a time and we may be there I don't know it's hard to tell from from the labor market when we need to when we need the import some folks but I would like to see you at that point like you talked about in the beginning there are J. when when wages go up I mean you see all of a sudden where you can go work for you know what what was normally a twelve dollar an hour job and now it's twenty dollar an hour job and going okay we're now we're seeing some of that squeeze and then we see then you can't find and buy things okay no matter what I pay I can't find anybody that people all over your example of that is is famous I mean or not all the details on this is a little bit ago there's that famous big ice raid at that chicken plant down and this is where a lot of where a lot of illegal aliens lost their jobs that company was putting banners up in that town and and doubling the pay and people were taking the line up around the block to forty on the block that stuff that will keep happening they just don't want to go down that path many either actually your permanent guest workers at the permanent legal immigration flow that they want but even the guest worker right can we see this all the time they think all the H. two B. visa seasonal employment visas when you come here and it didn't we they they have it the industry lobbied for an increase in it Congress gave the administration the authority to do that they did the increase and the visas that were part of the increase won't even all use they gave about thirty thousand the use about ten thousand less so they're out there clamoring in the streets we need more workers we need more pieces and give it to him and then they don't even use them all I mean it's just ridiculous situation we see it every year but this is crucial I mean the blue collar boom you mentioned it repeatedly in the state of the union if you want to keep it going don't fail out people who are now but yet that they have to pay American workers more so how do we do I mean if you say they're not giving away all the vases then that should you know that should be a good thing I would guess is they're not competing against American workers if they are not giving out all the visas why they're asking for more what we're asking for more than a weather asking for for two for increased eligibility and things like that me for example might be the programs called each to be a lot of people who are clamoring for more the speakers are actually from Peru seasonal employment areas for example a five week fishing season up in Alaska but you know who uses the vast majority of those visas landscapers in Texas and Florida and I know plenty of people in Texas and Florida they mow their lawns year round those aren't true seasonal jobs we we understand I mean if you're heading up to Maine and you're doing and some fishery job as well stuff like that truly is seasonal but we have some programs out there at the H. one B. H. two B. that are so white there is so much widespread abuse the administration and have done a little on the regulatory front but there's still so much to be done I mean if you want to do you any increase in good faith reform the program's first stop the abuse you can't just grant the wishes for these business interests in an election year with the hope that the line your pockets even more we're talking with our R. G. Hellman from of fear when it comes to the drug cartels and things like this we making progress on that as far as I know we're building some border wall and let me forget that I hear you and colder complains about that all the time making fun but basically what I understand is there were fences there the high traffic areas they're replacing those events as with actual barriers what I think is a good thing you gonna put him up where there's the highest traffic first and we've seen a slowdown and went out of course I can we can gripe all we want about the progress in the legal immigration from but again what the administration has done here is absolutely amazing what we saw order number that a thirteen year high last may we see decreases every single month since with zero help from Congress because Democrats love open borders they don't care who comes here and they don't want to address the crisis they've done all they can from policy changes if you look at all Walton portent yet we do need to beef up you know the existing fencing we have in some areas and I'm like and I think that is very important the ministrations done all they can they be reprogrammed money that wasn't them useless thanks if you will enter the military budget to actually defend our homeland not other countries only in the broad they've done all they can but our big fear here as well it Congress will eventually need to act in close a lot of loopholes it's really drive this crisis a future president could come in and got everything the administration done to make sure our asylum programs are to be used to make sure people just can't come up here that was a big fear filled with the border as well all they have to do rather than climbing over a wall they just have to walk into reported injuries and say Hey I claim asylum and and abuse our system and they've made great steps in to shore up the integrity of our system to make sure if we are helping people that are claiming asylum they actually deserve it they're not just coming up because they're an economic migrants well that's the thing I mean people say Williams violence or whatever and there's violence everywhere I mean you'd have people in Chicago want to go to Bel Air I'm sure because the violence but you know we just can't live there by him because there's violence and then they got to be persecuted mind standing is specifically these people sought out by their government or other factions and that's just not the case with most these folks seeking asylum now everybody in the northern triangle again it's coming up here is an economic migrant and you know I'd argue too that they put themselves up even up to more abuse you you Mexican cartels you know that are driving the cartels smugglers human traffickers drive them up and commit even more crimes and and and inflict a lot of damage upon these people are coming up again what they're doing essentially is country shopping if you were a true refugee or asylum in your wing persecution are terrible a situation in the country Europe country shopping okay when you get to Mexico you should rejoice because there's many areas there that are
