How to split up…. A podcast

Got this Email the subject. It's the name of the podcast and says, please help, Dave hope you're doing well these days. And she mentioned that she came to one of my events called pod Festa. You heard me talk about pot affected dot com. If you want more information about that. I'm wondering if you can help me out the question or poignant and direction to find the answer. Here's the problem. My co host she Lister name suddenly decided she no longer wanted to be part of our podcast. I'm continuing with podcasts in high gear, but there had to be a few things turned over to us from her husband before this could happen. One of those things was the submission. Apple podcast. Apparently, when he originally submitted our podcast apple instead of creating his own account for our podcast, he just submitted it under his personal account. I had no idea that this was the case and till he decided to just delete the podcast from his account, which in turn, deleted it from apple podcasts, all the reviews subscribers gone. Let's talk about that for a minute. Anytime you have a partnership with another person, and this is not just podcast in this business is the personal podcast. It is good to discuss things and even better to have things in writing for podcast. Specifically, you need to know who owns the name of the podcast, the image, the art work, the logo, the domain name, the RSS, feed the apple podcasts account. Any kind of distribution account that you've got Google anything regarding the podcast that you're going to need the log into. You need to know who owns that now, it sounds like in this situation, the woman who wrote me the Email and her co host, everything's fine. There was a misunderstanding though because third party the husband who may or may not be a podcast or he simply deleted it. Now in this situation, if you have something on apple podcast, you can have apple transfer your podcast from one account to another simply by emailing podcasts, support at apple dot com to do that though, because apple doesn't want his happening just randomly, you're going to have to go into your RSS feed and you're going to have to change the official podcast Email from whatever it was the other guys Email to your emails. If you can do that podcast support apple dot com, they will be able to assist you if not what you're going to have to do is dependent on your situation. Now I'm not sure that apple can go back in, replace lost reviews, replace loss subscribers. I don't know. Hopefully they can maybe not. This is a good reason for you'd have a mailing list. And this is another thing that you need to figure out who owns the mailing list. You've got an Email address. You can Email people with the updated fee. We'd let them know what's going on. If you don't, you can do a redirect on the old feed, but if you don't have access to the old feed, can't do that. So this is my general thoughts. The big one being that you need to be very clear if you've got a co host who owns everything the domain name, the podcast Dame, our work, the logo, get it in writing. It's not because you don't trust people is because you're likely hearing something different than the other person is hearing. That's the reason right it out. It's not that you don't trust the other person. It's just you getting clear and the other person getting clear on what's actually happening. And it's a lot easier to do that if you've got it in writing. So
