Listen: President Trump, Puerto Rico, Steny Hoyer discussed on Todd Schnitt
"Schumer in their folks there is. There appears to be. There appears to be no end to the shutdown in sight and this got ugly. This clearly got contentious with President Trump. According to the Democrats Trump walking out of the meeting. So it doesn't sound like things are moving in the right direction here that just breaking. We just came back from a bottom of the hour break, and I'm watching all the monitors. And here we have democratic leadership standing in front of the microphone tree in front of the west wing Puerto Rico. So we listened and it it doesn't sound good unless I'm not in favor of a government shutdown Steny Hoyer, just read a a quote from Mitch McConnell back in two thousand fourteen disparaging government shutdown. I'm not a fan. I don't think it's a way to get things solved. But anyone that thinks that we're headed towards some type of a middle ground and the Trump's going to be able to work with the democrat. I just don't see it happening, and I see getting nastier and nastier especially with potential impeachment. There's nothing that's going to get done. Oh, I think the government ultimately will open back up here. But there is not much. That's going to get done in the remaining time that Trump has in his first term back over to Maggie Haberman. And then phones are loaded by we will get to your calls. I promise just that with that. Breaking news now, hold on a minute. We now have vice President Mike Pence is before the microphones Steve Scalise. And McCarthy, let's listen.."
