Listen: Vince Gilligan, Peter Gould, HBO discussed on The Empire Film Podcast
"The store in the Albuquerque journal way says that we will concern the escape of kidnapped man and his quest for freedom. Is that right? So people thinking. That's jesse. 'cause he's seems to match that description. Oh, I am. So there I am absolutely buying because fins Gilligan has actually you know, he is a co creator soul, but he took a back seat this season. So Peter Gould is now the show runner on that. And it's brilliant. Because if you listened to the coal insider podcast going to Peter Gould, guests are to the main guests on there every week, and they have the guest as well. Vince Gilligan every week. He's just going die loved this episode. I don't know what you guys did there. How did you do that clearly wasn't really involved with the creative stuff? But maybe now we know why? Because he's been off doing this. This is I think hugely hugely exciting. And hope you will get a facial confirmation of this at some point. And that's not the only major TV show with a film Tif like may not film in the works. Because finally the deadwood movie. Yes is shooting as of this week HBO, which is fascinating that they've. Managed to get the setback together for a movie when it seems like the initial reason for his consolation was the huge production cost involved in basically building the town. The town would I if you've never seen the show is this criti- HBO western series about basically small Kemp that slowly over the course of three series becomes a bigger and bigger. Village into a town and the of the creation of America, and they start of of Elise kind of rules in society and civilization in the small town that was kind of cut down and it's the season. And this been talk for a long time of potential continuation of some kinds, and yet David milch create creates a has written, and is now shooting a film that seems to involve pretty much old of the original cast Oviously sadly POWs booth died last year, the before his character, obviously won't be back, but pretty much everyone else seems to be in the picture for this. And yet we don't know huge amount else about it for now. But that is a loan wishful project. The has finally come to fruition this week. And it just seems to be a big week made TV film continuations of Bolivia TV. Do you think these will be released on the big screen? I'd love to see that in. I'd love to see this. Well, I wonder if. Everything the net is doing right now literally in these next weeks of actually stunt to give some of that original films, at least limited theatrical, Ren's, Oviously, Scruggs, an outlaw king and certain chains. All they've just not getting a cinematic release. The maybe someone light Netflix on to blow those boundaries a bit more could be driver change that in fact, hopelessly with with breaking bad affectively being a net. Flicks property of a hia who knows whether that could be the screen that way. The I wonder if so blaring at the boundaries could be something that then gets propagates more widely through three different kind of channels. It'll be interesting to see as well. The been kind of taught for longtime of when thrones. If the last episode would be something that would be shown in cinemas oversee the scope of is going to be huge. I'm sure there are huge amounts of people who would would go especially to Maxwell something to see the final. Ever. So to game of thrones. So it'd be interesting to see if that happens when that show ends next year, which again could be another kind of driver a message to the industry that something that feels like an event that his beloved pay that people have an attachment. So that people will turn up at say on the big screen rather than staying home last point, I'll make about that is game of thrones. I don't think the effects but hold up for movies. They need to really increase the budget for that. And I'm excited. Helen, you're excited. I see is. Yes, what else you go from Helen quick one first of all once opponent dead pool? Deadpool is apparently getting a PG rated PG thirteen in the states release with an additional Fred savage wraparound to replace the bad, language and violence. Fred type of savage, obviously, riffing on his the Princess, bride wraparound. Therefore, I am immediately in the bag for this.."
