9 charged after McCloskey confrontation won't be prosecuted


Hi Mike Crossey a reporting prosecutors in St Louis will not pursue the case against marchers were confronted by a gun toting couple in there Tony neighborhood it was June twenty eighth marchers were on their way to the home of St Louis mayor Lyda Krewson when they were confronted by gun wielding residents market Patricia McCloskey the demonstrators were taking part in the black lives matter March nine people were charged with misdemeanor trespassing but now authorities say they won't be prosecuted according to the St Louis post dispatch the McCloskey's were recorded on video and photographed armed with an A. R. fifteen rifles and semi automatic handgun were charged with unlawful use of a weapon a felony the couple became national figures for conservative Republicans and they gave an opening night speech at last month's Republican National Convention hi Mike Rossio
