Some pretty fats on naughty opened it up right yeah that's that's true so we can talk about the doe some later dealy is where i work at work alarms of war national laboratory and and you know we care about highperformance computing um so yeah quantum computing is one way that um you know you can use a different type of technology to do computation uh so far people haven't really know that they've shown that it's useful for certain problems so there is a delay of system was alamos has a um a deal of system that they're looking at it's a it's a type of quantum computer that can do something called quantum annealing which allows you to solve certain optimization problems very fast but again you know that's a different model of computation it's not like a script it's it's another type of thing so if you have to do our position problems that's a good thing to use of and you can do really fast um there's us something called target of computing that we're looking at so it it livermore we have a partnership with ibm where were looking at their true north exeter and they they call it a kind that if computer effectively what it is is it's a chip that can that you can basically put a neural network on and you can evaluate it very quickly and so it's good for machine learning workloads if you need to do some machinelearning evaluation along with your your workload were i'm distinguishing between like training in a valuation than than you could potentially do it faster with a true north chip and then you know to some extent there's bear limitations to how you can do that you have to disappear ties the neural net a certain way that fits on the chip um and you can only do certain types of nomads um but did you can pose a lot of different on that problems that way so we think he could be useful for helping to accelerate some of the simulations that were doing or to help to solve problems that are a really hard for humans to two.
