Listen: HBO Max brings GoT-prequel House of the Dragon and Green Lantern show (The Daily Charge, 10/30/2019)
"Strewn wars are kicking into high gear with HBO Max Making a big splash with projects like how's The dragon and a green lantern show down all the newly unveil details of Hbo Max and whether it's worth your time and money David Charge look into the daily charge today's Amac Service of Tease for coming products. Like the game of thrones spinoff project by really Scott Green Lantern TV show which could be amazing or Ryan Reynolds level horrible total it'll ten thousand hours of programming with the stream rewards underway and apple TV plus dizzy plus right around the corner did HBO succeed in picking your address job well the thing that's going to be interesting for me is my personal scenario which I think is going to be the same situation for a lot of people all I get HBO go currently because through regular pay TV subscription so we have HBO the Regular Traditional Linear oh through pay TV provider but that TV provider isn't direct TV or AT&T so basically anybody that is a subscriber to regular Rachbini anybody that uses HBO AT and T. or draft TV is your provider for that you don't get Hbo Max Unless you also play another fifteen dollars ooh yeah so it piqued my interest but you know immediately thereafter you're like do I have to start double paying now or do the you get into a head space we'll do a cancel the pay TV subscription get rid of everything and so makes the Calculus very complicated for anybody that is an eighteen d like inside that bubble already interesting so that said like Disney plus coming out and with the what we've got doc next year and apple TV plus of course on Friday but it's just a little different but they want your money to that is like do you think there is space for All these players to to thrive or two exists at this plant I think they can all exist whether they're all thrive is the question and big thing that to talk about here is fifty dollar price that's more that's like triple A. Apple TV plus it's double Disney plows it's even more than net flicks as most popular panic basically on par with highest premium level in tier so it's basically the priciest service out there now at and T. and Warner media have said that they're going to lower the price with an ad supported tier within the first year. So there will be an option I presume it's not GonNa be free with ads because there's no way they could have rats to me worth it to be free but they will have a discounted price depending on what they decide they didn't say what it would be a discounted price somewhere below that fifteen dollars level if you're willing to sit through ads while you list is very interesting to the notion of like watching traditional hbo shows like and then seeing commercials pop up in the middle because that's so I mean that's yeah that's a whole premise the problem too is that shows like they've they've licensed friends and Bing Bang theory those are written and scripted four commercial banks one of the reasons that you know who were TV makers have like HBO is the creative writing creative freedom including not having to structure your acts of your of your storytelling to like gotta have the thirty thirty gotta break right after three minutes he got up a break after seven minutes you don't have to work within those areas actual tangible changes like you have to like build a little cliffhangers before yeah right exactly and so that means that it's going to be even more natural to be sticking ads in the real the best content that they're making now I feel livestream as I as did I and it was a little disappointed blacked out a bunch of content but in terms of the teases on the content they had is that it's kind of inbetween apple TV and Disney plus like they have these franchises like game of thrones to build off of like Disney plus has marble they also has DC and they're building a Lotta shows like green lantern and some other DC rested but they also have are struggling against this concept of the have a lot of stuff that's going to be just kind of like original Ip that I think what I'm going to Hbo Max for that. Yeah that's an interesting dilemma having too much content and like not particularly organized it's just like it's everything"
