Y. W. John McDevitt reports with many people spending more time at home during the corona virus crisis sprucing up the lawn and garden is a popular thing the business of which has probably doubled or tripled that's just a long ago from hillside nursery in Clifton heights which was deemed in the central business he says support from the community has been incredible really been trying to support the little guy which is which is nice so we've been getting a lot of overflow customers recoup some of the big box retailer's Lagos's meeting customers demand has been a challenge but it's improving so it's been kind of a mad scramble trying to get product in in this business is no different than the grocery store or any other businesses that are relying on you know supply chain channels so the supply chains for nurseries like plastic bags for bags mulch and things like that it's a little bit strange right now so we had the mission brings without them but I think a lot of that backlog thirty cleared which is nice he says most of the products of the nursery situated outdoors allowing customers to social distance a little easier John McDevitt KYW newsradio wondering had a party through the pandemic while playing it safe they're called Wachtell parties putting on fancy clothes mixing up a glass of something and hitting the neighborhood socially safe distance of course and alternative drinks in the drive way a lot of fun I mean there's a lot of laughs Jerry Jameson and her husband Gerald get together with neighbors in sunset beach North Carolina some people are drinking wine some people are drinking extremes a great way to fend off the stay at home crazies just nice to be around other people other than your spouse be stuck in the house Deborah Rodriguez CBS news.
